Jeremy Lin Statue & Tribute at @ Conscious Art Exhibit

tatue of Linsanity? [inlinetweet prefix=”Taiwan honored Jeremy Lin with a Bruce-Lee inspired statue and paintings” tweeter=”@JLinPortal” suffix=”null”]Taiwan truly honored Jeremy Lin with a Bruce-Lee inspired statue and various paintings[/inlinetweet] at the Conscious 3 Basketball Art Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan this past weekend. Sure, it’s only 1-foot statue and there might be a more interesting Kobe statue fighting with a giant Black Mamba which actually bit his Achilles heel but it is a great accomplishment indeed for an undrafted NBA player. There are so many interesting questions about the art such as: 1. Why does one painting with the Houston... »

Classy and Optimistic JLin in Ian O’Connor ESPN Interview

I’m glad “Classy and Optimistic” JLin showed up during Ian O’Connor ESPN Radio interview on 8/3 morning show. He was classy as usual to respond to his Houston experience to defer to Harden as the main playmaker but at the same time chose to project optimism in his preparation before the Lakers training camp. ESPN NY Radio Ian O’Connor’s interview that aired this morning. (courtesy of blubell)Starts around 33:53 on JLin interview http://espn.go.com/espnradio/newyork/play?id=11303607&s=nyc Some Lin fans seemed to have disagreement in how Lin chose to stay classy in regards to how he confirmed Harden to be the better player. He further confirmed Houston w... »

Jeremy Lin’s jump shooting: Release time

Jeremy Lin’s jump shooting: Release time

From time to time, we saw fans’ comments on Lin’s shooting. Especially while he was under shooting slumps. One of the mostly noted flaws of his shooting is his release time. Slow release time means it is harder to have open shots, either in catch and shoot (C&S) or ISO situation. Lin is one of few players in NBA who dip the ball down very low (down to the knees) to gain more power and rhythm while C&S. The longer dip seems to give the impression that Lin needs more time to release the ball. But is it true? The following video from PRO SHOT SHOOTING SYSTEM will address some doubts in this regard (yes, Lin is featured in it). As mentioned in the above video, it has demonstr... »

VOTE: Which Laker Will Receive the Biggest Benefit from JLin’s Playmaking?

VOTE: Which Laker Will Receive the Biggest Benefit from JLin’s Playmaking?

[yop_poll id=”4″ tr_id=”2″] Credit is given to webattorney who came up with a great idea following TWCSportsNet poll on which Laker newcomer will have the biggest impact Will it be Kobe Bryant who doesn’t have to spend all his energy to score and be a playmaker? He just came back from an Achilles injury that’s extremely difficult to recover. Is it Steve Nash who only has to play 15-20 min to reduce the chance of reinjuring his back? Or is it Boozer or Randle who will receive the benefit of Lin’s pinpoint passes? How about Nick Young, Jordan Hill, Wes Johnson, Xavier Henry? Or is it even Byron Scott as a new Lakers Coach who has a point to prove since... »

On continuing his development as an LA Laker, Lin said, “I definitely don’t think I’m close to my prime yet,” Lin said with a laugh. “I’m 25 years old and I think because of the way things have happened, people always think I’m older or I’ve been around longer than I really have. I’ve played two full seasons in the NBA – two full seasons and those 25 games in New York. I ... »

VIDEO: “JLin Goes Hollywood”

VIDEO: “JLin Goes Hollywood”

Jeremy Lin collaborated with Harry Shum Jr. to produce a musical video not long after the tough loss in the 1st round of playoff against POR. The main message is to give thanks in all circumstances, especially the hard times. As usual, JLin always provides a Bible verse to summarize the key point: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Little did he knew that a few weeks later he had more things to thank for after being traded to the Lakers! So keep on rocking, JLin! There is also a side-story of poking fun at trolls spend their days tweeting mean stuff. We can just ignore them away and keep working har... »

Coach Byron Scott Praises Jeremy Lin During Press Interview

Coach Byron Scott Praises Jeremy Lin During Press Interview

Byron Scott Introduced as Head Coach Go to mark [23:13] on his comments on Lin: courtesy of JustSayNoToHardensIso at jeremylin.net Jeremy Lin? “Well, you know, the thing I like about Jeremy, is that he’s feisty. He’s tough. He competes. I’ve played against him, as far as coached against him, in a number of games, so I know how he is. He’s a competitor. The point guard position in this league today, on the defensive end, is vital. You’ve got to have guys that are — they don’t have to be great — they don’t have to be great one-on-one defenders, but they have to go after you. They have to just continue to be persistent at that end of the floor. I think Jeremy is like that, and offensively, obvi... »
