Register for Discounted Group Tickets of BROOK-LIN Nets HOME Games

JLP_BrookLinWith the upcoming Brook-Lin-sanity season coming, how many Lin fans are interested to watch Brooklyn Nets games at the Barclay Center?

We are trying to work out a special deal with Brooklyn Nets to get Group Discounts or Season Tickets for JLin fans at JLinPortal.

The benefit of group tickets (with $200 ‘Early Bird’ deposit) would be as follows:

  1. Priority to select Fan Experience package (high five the players, post-game photo from center court, chance to play on Barclays Center court prior to the game etc.)
  2. Priority to select the biggest games of year, including Warriors, Cavs and Knicks
  3. Two (2) lower level tickets to a 2016-17 Nets preseason game
  4. up to 40% off your final purchase! (For instance, a $60 ticket would become a $36 ticket – huge savings)
  5. Potentially, it will be great if a portion of ticket sales through JLinPortal can directly benefit Jeremy Lin Foundation as part of our yearly JLin Foundation fundraising effort.

For now, let’s try to count how many people are interested to get special deals so we can follow up with you later.

STEPS:

  1. Login with JLinPortal account (not Disqus) so I have your email information to contact later. If you haven’t registered, please click the ‘Sign Up’ button on top right corner on Homepage

  1. Am I the first one who is interested in this????!!!!

  2. I’ll definitely show up to a few games!

  3. Thank you Psalm
    This is so awesome!

  4. But love, aren’t you live in Australia?

  5. im certainly interested in registering.

  6. Great benefit for Lin fans. Unfortunately, not live in US.Will get the Net’s LP for this season.

  7. I’m from Cali so I wouldn’t be able to make it. Will probably buy LP again. Does the Nets franchise make money off of LP purchases?

  8. yes, we are nuyorkers… we would want to reserve some tickets..

  9. any parking information around barclay center?

  10. Hello!
    What’s up?
    GO GO GADGET LIN GO!
    -locvu

  11. parking at the barclay center is really limited….we usually use parkwhiz.com or iconparking.com for discounted price (manhattan/brooklyn)

  12. thanks..average rate would be?

  13. if you’re interested, please vote/register on the poll so we have everyone’s email addresses to send more information later.
    thanks

  14. Do not drive, take the sudway. Sudway system in ny city is the best.

  15. something is wrong with the profile settings pages. i tried to update my email address in my profile (with password inputted) but it repeatedly failed.

  16. Yes I live in Australia but I do plan to make at least one game this season if psalm’s date of presenting the check to JLin Foundation is complimentary to the on sale airfare:-) Don’t make to return to NY since I was there in Dec 1988:-) I should say it’s a good excuse to return and meet up with other mods and fans:-)

  17. Not sure what I did but I tried and it didn’t work. But I’m happy about the group discount. I am still asking my friends around the area if they want to join.

  18. That would be fun. We can meet a lot of Lin fans?

  19. Yes, I would like to meet with as many JLin fans as possible while I visit this time:-) It will be fun to meet people face to face rather than just via internet:-) Are you from NY?

  20. Am going to let psalm sort out this issue with you:-( Mine seems to work fine.

  21. Going to let psalm work this out with you. I had some issues a while back and I was able to do moderating for a couple weeks:-(

  22. Yes. We always go to Barclay center. It’s only 30 minutes from where we live. Sometimes we watch some concerts there. Before, we go to Madison square but I don’t like the Knicks so we go to Barclay center most of the time

  23. Thank you. ?

  24. Do you have some relatives or friends in New York?

  25. I will call that staff from the nets. His name is Kevin? I’m so busy at work by trying to find some time to read some blogs here

  26. No relatives nor friends. Might need some info/assistance when my trip is firmed.

My friends asked me to help in looking after her children in Winter 1989 semester break while giving birth. Was too young and timid at the time to enjoy my time there. Lost contact with them now.

Would like to go around if I go this time. Let’s wait and see. Hopefully I will know soon which date most likely psalm and blubell are thinking on doing special JLin fan night. Special airfare sales is going on until 18 July.

  27. Just let me know. Would be happy to show you around New York. There are some affordable hotels around the area near the airport where it’s safe.

  28. I hope we can get a big group when you come to New York and let Lin have a group pic with us.

  29. I registered last night. Kevin said I’d need a min of 10 tix for group pricing. I only need 2-4. Will I be able to piggy back off someone’s group to get the better pricing?

  30. yes, please register as JLinPortal member (click ‘Sign Up’ on top right corner of the website, not Disqus) then vote/register on Poll #1 to get the Group Rate.

I see we already have 9 people so far.

  31. Did you try to register with the WordPress account (not Disqus)?
You would need to click ‘Sign Up’ on top right corner of the website if you don’t have a WordPress account yet

  32. This is the WordPress, not Disqus account, right?

Let me check if anything failed earlier

  33. I don’t live in the NYC area, but I do live closeby as a Canadian, in the GTA. I don’t know when but I would definitely love to see a nets game, it would be a good excuse to come down to NYC. BTW, do NOT drive in NYC at all costs…I learned that the hard way when I went to visit and we spent literally 1 hour to pass through the lincoln tunnel trying to get into manhattan. Park and walk or take the bus!

  34. I don’t think I have the WordPress account yet. I will do that at sometime since I’m still at work. Thank you.

  35. It is better to take train or bus from out of state. In the city, it is best to take the subway. Unless you are local, it is not easy to navigate the city driving, especially you are driving between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Parking is a headache. Roads and directions and signs are sometimes confusing if you are not local.

Rush hours traffic is terrible for bridges and tunnels. So if you really want to drive in, avoid rush hours.

  36. Brooklyn… Here’s a tip: You don’t have to drive through Manhattan to get into Brooklyn. Drive through Staten Island from NJ. Going into Bayonne, through Staten Island and into Brooklyn is another easy ride.

  37. If you want to save money on parking, find a safe neighborhood and park on the streets for free (check local laws, alternate aside parking etc) and take a subway.

  38. And if you want to save money on tolls, you can take the PATH from NJ into Manhattan and take a NYC subway from there, but you’ll likely take a longer time than driving straight into Brooklyn.

  39. Are you able to find out how much it costs, sitting arrangements and the games specifically?

  40. If you are visiting from out of town , I heard that staying at Newark International Airport saves a lot of money. You can catch a train into Manhattan right from Holiday Inn hotel.

  41. yes, wordpress.

  42. See my third comment.

  43. BTW, the 5-game is ending on Friday, July 8 due to such high demand.
So please register soon if you’re interested

  44. Do you know the cost, the games and the sitting arrangements? Can the individuals decide which game we want to go to or do we have to buy the tickets for all 5 games?

  45. They might have different sales at another time. It’s too bad they don’t have the Knicks in the 5-game plan.
I will recommend them to do another 5-game package based on people’s feedback.

For this one, if you like the 5-game plan, go ahead to follow this link because the availability is limited.
Don’t forget to register above so we can use the email addresses if they have different marketing plan in the near future.
    https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/nets/EN/link/buy/details/16MP2?camefrom=kguidette

  46. thanks. problem for me is there is no subway in staten island, haha.

  47. Sry, should have read the above registration again (re: price, seatings etc). It might be tough for JLin fans, esp. out-of-towners, to commit to a 5-games package. I believed the tickets are transferrable. Perhaps, the Portal can gauge the interests for the individual games and buy the tickets in bulk and re-sell them to the fans here as individual tickets instead. Of course, the Portal would be taking a risk here.

  48. Unfortunately, the mods are very busy so we probably won’t have time to be in the ticket-selling business because the coordination is very time-consuming.

I’m waiting to see if we can have special discounts for referring Lin fans so certain percentage can be used to donate to JLin Foundation. Although doesn’t look like it can be easily done, let’s hope the Nets can make it happen.

  49. Psalm: Wonder whether you can read DM in Twitter. I need some answers:-)

  50. got it…please check the reply

  51. Yup… understood. You guys are doing a good job here. Perhaps, what could happen is a separate thread where Lin fans can coordinate among themselves without Portal taking an active role, or any role at all (to eliminate risks)? For example, those with season tickets might want to sell/give away some of their unused tickets. Or, Lin fans can come together and purchase the group tickets themselves; that way, no one has to commit to 5 games for the season. Just something to think about.

  52. Yes I did. Thanks!

  53. that could be a possibility to provide Game Tickets thread to allow fans to connect. But the issue would still be to ensure legit/trustworthy users.
Thanks, it’s something to think about.

We would feel responsible if any transactions go bad.

  54. Psalm, I tried to register with your portal so I can vote for the survey but have not been successful. Says I was sent a confirmation email but don’t see it. Is there a way to check at your end to see if I am registered? My user name might be “Megan” or “Parent of Lots of Kids” I am interesting in purchasing group tickets for 7-10 people. My email address is [email protected]

Please let me know if you read this post. Thanks so much. Megan.

  55. calling @psalm234:disqus

  56. Let me check the username first now. The confirmation email could’ve gone to the spam folder?

FYI feel free to send me email on [email protected] if you have questions.
FYI Next week I’ll meet with our Brooklyn Nets rep to try to get a special link for Lin fans to get tickets/jersey/merchandise. Stay tuned. Hopefully it will work out.

  57. Bad

  58. Hi Adele,

I’m in the office Monday-Friday from 8-6 EST. Happy to jump on a call whenever is most convenient for you.

  59. psalm, i just emailed you from gmail regarding the tickets.

  60. What’s the update status on the tickets? I’m not sure if anything has been emailed to everyone on the list, but I haven’t received any confirmation yet

  61. What a SELL-OUT this site has become!
Glad, I am NOT PART of this greedy, hack $$, rip-off profitteering OFF Jeremy Lin name.
What a bunch of GREEDY mods for advocating such ACT.
    See ya…wouldn’t WANNA be ya!
    Boom CHAKALALA boom!

  62. What a SELL-OUT!
    Shame on you GUYS!
Jeremy Lin would NEVER accept such GREED ACT.

  63. Brooklyn net representative came here mention about Lin fans can get a group discount. This thread is created for this. Why is there a shame when Lin fans can get a discount ticket much cheaper to see Lin games?

  64. I’m not sure if you’re referring to the ‘Brook-Lin’ trademark that is being transferred to Jeremy Lin as the holder.
The original intent has always been to support JLinFoundation fundraising that we have done for the last 2 years.
It is definitely important to transfer the trademark to avoid any legal issues in the future or avoid impropriety.

We would appreciate if you simply ask for clarification politely

  65. Brooklyn Nets released a new 11-game Plan.
For those who are interested, please contact them directly through the link

To avoid any suspicion of impropriety, I think it’s best if JLinPortal as a fan site continue to stay out of the coordination of group tickets. For online fundraising, we are always careful to ask people to donate directly at their site so it might be okay to simply present the symbolic check.

Fans can still continue to coordinate themselves here to get a group of 10 people to get the group rate
