Jeremy Lin Starts A New Chapter with Beijing Ducks in CBA
Jeremy Lin officially signed with the Beijing Ducks and announced it in social media via Instagram and Twitter.
He thanked the NBA, his family, inner circle, and his fans who have supported him during 9 seasons. He expressed excitement to make more history with Beijing Ducks in CBA (Chinese Basketball Association).
It is important to note that this was not the first time Jeremy played in the CBA. In September 2011, Lin played a few games for the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) club Dongguan Leopards at the ABA Club Championship in Guangzhou, China, where he was named the MVP of the tournament.[79]
This was a few months before he created Linsanity with the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season so Lin fans can be hopeful that he might be able to use his CBA season as a springboard to come back to the NBA if he prefers.
Thanks to the NBA and everyone who's supported me the last 9 years! Will always cherish being able to rep Asians at the NBA level. Excited for the next step with the Beijing Ducks. Excited to make more history. Congrats lil bro on signing your contract extension on the same day! pic.twitter.com/gRoalAaoal

His good friend and ex-teammate, Danny Green, expressed surprise in Taiwan when reporters told him about the news but is confident that CBA is a short season and Jeremy has the ability to come back to the NBA in the same or following season. That might be the optimum path for Jeremy to prove to the NBA by playing healthy and great in the CBA that he still has a lot left in the NBA despite several injuries in the past 3 seasons.
Danny Green is visiting Taiwan for commercial. Taiwan media tell him about @JLin7 joining CBA. @DGreen_14 is surprised, expresses congrats, and says Jeremy has ability to return the NBA. pic.twitter.com/QW1W5w4TuL
