Jeremy Lin Statue & Tribute at @ Conscious Art Exhibit
Statue of Linsanity?[inlinetweet prefix=”Taiwan honored Jeremy Lin with a Bruce-Lee inspired statue and paintings” tweeter=”@JLinPortal” suffix=”null”]Taiwan truly honored Jeremy Lin with a Bruce-Lee inspired statue and various paintings[/inlinetweet] at the Conscious 3 Basketball Art Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan this past weekend.
Sure, it’s only 1-foot statue and there might be a more interesting Kobe statue fighting with a giant Black Mamba which actually bit his Achilles heel but it is a great accomplishment indeed for an undrafted NBA player.
There are so many interesting questions about the art such as:
1. Why does one painting with the Houston-red jersey say ‘Earth’ instead of Houston?
2. Jeremy looked more muscular in the one painting with the Lakers jersey than the other one in Houston jersey. Is it subliminal message by the artist that Lin’s career will become bigger and better in LA than Houston? That’s probably not much of a guesswork.
3. It certainly looks like the whole Taiwan loves Jeremy Lin. I am curious to know what are the actual % of Taiwanese who are not basketball fans but loves Jeremy Lin?
