G76 LAC @LAL Game Thread

Only 7 games are left before Jeremy can focus on his summer Free Agency!

It’s quite concerning that Jeremy hasn’t fully recovered from his URI and had to take medication during last game 🙁  At this point, we only care that Jeremy preserve his health and only play if he’s ready to contribute.

Get well soon, Jeremy!

Guess Lakers record in the last 9 games (Pelicans, Blazers, Clippers, Clippers, Nuggets, Wolves, Mavs, Kings, Kings)?

what is this hate to Young from Byron? Even he don’t like him, or want to trade him, he could just talk to Mitch and operate that during off season, why Byron need to say all these? Sounds to me is 1) he is trying to tell the FO that he don’t like this player, and 2) he is threatening Young to behave.

    Either reason sounds odd.

  • JJ Hui

    Ha! first lady here!

  • TTNN

    where?

  • Sophie Paris

    Behind you

  • CJSHYY

You know what? One of my followers said this to MM’s colleague and even this reporter gave favor on what my follower said about BS to Young.

Robert Morales favorited a Tweet you were mentioned in 19h:

@RMoralesPT @CJStock_Sport “As I thought he’ll not play any game 4 this season. Better ask for the trade. BS will not nice to him next season.”

  • Spot

Usually Jeremy plays well in days like xmas or easter. Go jlin!!!

  • TTNN

    that should be second then…

  • Sophie Paris

    So you knew where haha

  • TTNN

I’m kind of curious about why Lakers FO hired the coach after they got all the rosters. Looks like BS don’t like any of the player Lakers got during FA before he was hired, and though Mitch said they consulted BS regarding the player, but apparently that does not work, just compare what BS said about Lin before he was hired to what he did in the training camp, it is very clear from the get go BS don’t like Lin. And he don’t like Young either.

  • TTNN

    hehe

  • 1mtoldman

thats 1 4 the thumb and now im truly done. no mas. pour moi. give the other folks (like u) a better chance.

  • 1mtoldman

    where what?

  • TTNN

I don’t know, his infection sounds pretty nasty. Normally a sinus infection should not last that long. And cause him lose weight, and also, I could understand he need to take antibiotic, but why pain killer? Hope there is no other things associate to it that is not reported.

  • 1mtoldman

both myself and another poster on here have referenced our long run battles with uri/sinus; that can last months and never go away.

that being said if lin has not had a history of this it would seem a concern. imo he was played too much when he was initially sick; they played him more that one game when he was still sick than any game all season!

since then hes not been right.

  • TTNN

I don’t think that’s a problem, but two games out really lost his rhythm, also looks like he is weak, I’m not sure what is the cause that he lost weight that quick…. so he have not got his strength back

  • Samuel

I don’t know, I don’t want to see Lin playing well in only holidays, lol..

  • 1mtoldman

hero ball report: between them the beard and the unmasked marvel counting all fga’s and fta’s shot the ball 79 times in 1 game today. their arms will be tired come playoffs.

  • Rick Johnson

I think Byron Scott is just using players as scapegoats for his poor coaching. From his point of view nothing is wrong with his coaching, or way he utilizes players (or lack thereof).

  • Chipdip

I hope Jeremy get wells by now… if not, rest more. This LA Team will be history real soon for JLin I believe.

  • 1mtoldman

a good point. an interesting point. people try to speculate various explanations theories for various scenarios that play out.

a simple explanation for a lot of things that doesn’t require any conspiracy theories:

its not his fault. (he says).

  • Sophie Paris

    Where is the love :p

  • 1mtoldman

oh dont take me on in song lyrics. i got a dunk there 2.

  • CJSHYY

All bc Kobe. BS just said or did whatever Kobe wants. Lin was signed to replaced backcourt after Kobe retired that’s why Mitch said hope Lin’s whole career can be as a Lakers. (something like that…) Young was a fans favor but not anymore… After that celebration, BS said they should not be allowed to wear Lakers uniform. I knew Young & Hill will be in trouble. Hill did say sorry but not Young and he even said it’s all bc Kobe so … Then all the sudden, Young was injury…?! I really don’t buy or believe he is injury at all. After they changed his schedule to return again & again, I knew he will not play for this season again. smh! I don’t know why FO is so afraid of Kobe & allowed him to mess up in his teammates but not even said a word?!

  • webattorney

What BS says is true, but BS shouldn’t say this to media.

  • I am The Jason

Byron Scott is really sure of himself that they will have a great free agency recruitment. I just don’t see it happening.

  • Sophie Paris

    🙂

  • 1mtoldman

spurs continue their hot play against the best time in the nba up 29-11 on the splashies in first q.

  • Rick Johnson

Byron Scott such a brown noser:

Byron Scott on MVP race: “I’m biased. I think Kobe should be in the conversation.”

    https://twitter.com/BaxterHolmes/status/584865410090041344

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin played great defense covering for Clarkson.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

With days of rest, Lin’s limb will regain his strength on his legs.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

No way will Byron Scott get any big one. This is an inept coach and the team is going to be sinking with Byron heading the team.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

In fact, nothing wrong with his players and everything wrong in the decisions Byron made on and off the court.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is sick and deliberately sick-minded.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    Kobe MVP ?
What did he do this season?
    Byron is insane

  • Yascar

Yey I found the thread! Was lost there for hours. Hope Jeremy has a good game!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The worst SG in the league is Kobe Bryant.
Byron still kisses the rear of the fake superstar.
You couldn’t possibly give even a little respect to the head coach of the Laker.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

As usual, Laker is scheduled to be the last game for the day.

  • Yascar

Not that we need more evidence but that’s just blatant favoritism leading to tunnel vision to the exclusion of everyone else in the team. Kobe, what’s good for Kobe, what will make Kobe happy is what this coach is about. Good luck to him keeping his job when Kobe can’t play more than a few games next season.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Spurs is whipping the Warriors.

  • Brent Yen

Showing who is the real boss

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Spurs plays great defense on Klay Thompson who is shooting only 3-11

  • Brent Yen

Not saying GSW is not a gr8 team. But all season, tons of their shots were made while they are leading a lot. You make shots better this way.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

But with Kawhi Leonard playing at both ends of the court, he simply dominates the game offensively and defensively. He should be the real MVP.

  • Brent Yen

of course. Just saying GSW is good team, and good at building a big run earily.

  • webattorney

He must be on BSD. Lol Say something that makes sense. Just goes to show you how BS is willing to throw the team concept out the window for Kobe, his idol. The thing that makes this non-sensical statement more sad is that he wasn’t joking.

  • 1mtoldman

    whats bsd?

  • webattorney

    BS + LSD = BSD.

  • 1mtoldman

    funny.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The firepower of GSW is incredible but the depth of SA Spurs is horrifying. They make whipping the GSW look easy.

  • MVP = Most Venomous Player?
Black Mamba will win it for sure =)
Dwight, Shaq, JLin, Sessions and many will cast their ballots!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Sorry to hear that.

Pray that JLin is able to find his rymthm this game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

LOL What a delusional head coach. Must be the worst in the league! Almost all of the ex-Laker are pathetic coaches.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    What?? Is BS on drug?

  • 1mtoldman

warriors fans saying well this is btb and game doesn’t mean anything to them and big for spurs; but i say this is a statement. g.s. been burying every one they play regardless. 10 strait wins. and spurs saying: uh “chip” (in sophie “man talk”) goes thru spurs.

  • good one. He’s old-school indeed 🙂

  • It’s the “Kobe, I’m your biggest supporter” drug before the season ends soon LOL

  • Brent Yen

I wonder if they said the same when LAL beat them…

  • blubell
  • Yascar

    No worries. Let’s go Jeremy!

  • blubell
  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Mighty good looks.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL! Really sick and tired of his antics. Can’t get away from him for good. He gets me more than KM. Can’t wait this season is over.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yep! Go Go JLin!!!! Want to see him to end the season in high!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

GSW looks like dead meat in the 4Q behind by more than 20 points; going to 30!

  • Brent Yen

    Statement made.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boston Celtics is going to the playoff this year!
LA Lakers has to wait until they get rid of Kobe and Byron Scott.

  • Brent Yen

    They made it already?

  • orLinaryjoe

They have no incentive at this point. Clinched home court adv.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boston has a very good chance to make it to the playoff. Their young players are playing better every day. They have depth and youth.

Currently Celtics is only half a game behind Brooklyn for the 7 spot. Boston is at the 8th. Charlotte runs out of steam. Miami is on on a losing streak. The Pacer is at least 1 game behind The Celtics. Only 3 teams fighting for 2 spots; Cletics, Nets and Pacers.

I dare say the Celtics is going to overtake the Brooklyn Nets for the 7th.

  • Brent Yen

    Let’s hope so

  • Maknusia

    LOL!

  • Charlie S

BS must think he’s also in the conversation for Coach of the Year

  • Charlie S

    Lord give Lin strength!

  • Maknusia

Yeah, I’m surprised as well…thought he would have recovered by now

  • webattorney

BS should be a comedian. He will get a big laugh talking like that. Even Kobe is embarrassed by BS’ talk.

  • Maknusia

    unsold tickets!

  • blubell
  • blubell

    so close…

  • blubell

Jeremy prevented an easy basket! Good D 🙂

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin not getting the lucky bounce

  • Alain Gervais

    sloppiness cause lins turnover

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin’s looking good. Looks healthier. So far 0 for 2 and 2 TOs. Not a good start. Always worry when Lin does not have a good start. It can affect his confidence in his shots. So far good D by Lin.

  • Grace Nsns

2 times by Jordan, got to tighten up.

  • Grace Nsns

    Sh*t! Lin out again.

  • blubell

    Out already? boooooo

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The worst possible start for the Lakers.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott has tried his very best to destroy any team chemistry within the team.
    Today is his judgement day!

  • stam

wow Lin has 2 TO already? were they bad TO’s or just caused by others not able to catch?

  • Alain Gervais

its crazy how wes will take any shot and every

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Stolen

  • stam

    ouch… thanks

  • webattorney

Lin starting plays less minutes than not starting. Lol

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s Boozer who saves the day.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s the veteran who is going to save the day.
The young future star is shut down.
Carlos Boozer and Jordon Hill help keep things going.

  • Alain Gervais

this h*** is almost over y’all

  • cali7

At the game. Lots of clippers fans. Even clippers fans who like “jc.” Although he has horrible defense.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Just put in Davis, jeremy Boozer and they will set things on the right track.

  • Promo Sports World

It’s been a long hard year folks…this is a great site for us fans and kudos to the mods for maintaining order but this hasn’t been pro basketball for a long time….all I hope is for Jeremy to get a chance to play winning ball again.

This off season will be just as hard as its been the last two seasons….but his market will be there.

Screw the Lakers…can’t say this enough…screw the lakers

  • how did Jeremy look on the bench? unhappy?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott has pushed the panic button.
    Hahahaha

  • cshot

so im guessing jeremy got his starting and backup pg roles taken away from him lol

  • Brent Yen

    LOL he is gone anyway.

  • Rick Johnson

It was better when JLin came off the bench. At least he’d get to play THE PG. When JC plays PG he gets his points but team looks like dung.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Wesley Johnson, Boozer and Jordon Hill are settling the whole team down.

  • Brent Yen

No….not really. The point really is it is better Lin just do not play for Lakers…lol

  • I got a feeling that since Jeremy removed his Lakers jersey picture from jlin7.com, Lakers stop trying to give him PT or feature him

  • Brent Yen

They are running out of games to do that anyway…lol

  • cshot

i cannot wait until he’s out of LA.

  • they gave up hope trying to convince him to come back as backup PG LOL

  • Grace Nsns

    Lin not in yet?

  • leeda harun

    yeah..I guess you are right

  • Brent Yen

    Could be the case

  • Brent Yen

Only his body is still there..

  • Grace Nsns

ok, LAC’s bench is the worst, let the D-leaguers play some.

  • lol .. this Lakers team is a D-League audition for next season

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron still not accepting his failure and let new players play.
It’s the veterans who are carrying the team right now.

  • blubell

Lets not insult the D League lol.

  • I apologize to the true D-Leaguers :]
    I should’ve said D-League coach

  • I really think Byron will say this is a lost season so he’s justified to evaluate players for next season. Must be nice to have this “All-You-Can-Tank” coaching job :]

  • leeda harun

    more like a training camp…lol

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Doug Rivers is making a wise decision to let Byron keep the new Lakers playing on the court by using his 2nd team. By the time Doug send in the first team, it would be too late for the Lakers to get into any sort of team work.

  • BobbyH

    Now you are insulting D-League…

  • Rick Johnson

At least they had the best bench in the league and it was more fun to watch for a few minutes. Now the whole game is garbage time.

  • I remember a few games before JLin did so, they still gave him more freedom and PT

  • oh well 🙂 .. Byron shouldn’t even coach the D-League then

  • Rick Johnson

Philadelphia such expert tankers even managed to lose to the Knicks.

  • Grace Nsns

    time for starters.

  • BobbyH

    Thank You.

  • MoominFloren

    No you can’t say that.
They will have the greatest player ever Kobe return, they got a new westbrook / new CP, they got the greatest coach, they will have many other stars willing to join the team (per BS)
Lin is too suck for Lakers :-))

  • Rick Johnson

Won’t help as long as Clarkson playing PG.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Carlos Boozer is having a great game for himself.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The real slaughter will start now with 7:20 left in the half.

  • webattorney

If Lin stays with Lakers next year, I am going to cancel my Ballstreams. Not because I don’t like Lin but I cannot justify watching Lakers BB again next season. I rather work and make money than watch Lakers for free. Lol

  • joyce ward

    So No Davis

  • wow Dwight Buycks just brought up the ball, not made a single pass and missed the long-jumper
    That’s the new PG?

  • Alain Gervais

    true pg

  • Rick Johnson

    I thought that’s the 3rd quarter?

  • Alain Gervais

8 more games after this one its almost over

  • leeda harun

that is always the gsme plan

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    2nd quarter!

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

    8?

  • Alain Gervais

    idk ??

  • webattorney

Wow, the Australian dude watching this LIVE?

  • Brent Yen

    6 ..

  • in any normal team, he would’ve been benched.
But then again, this is not a normal one

  • Brent Yen

    yep on their honeymoon

  • Alain Gervais

    yes better then i thought

  • webattorney

    Lordy, lordy. Lol

  • at least he got Lin’s signature last game

  • leeda harun

    dont need Lin for tanking…lol

  • yeah, I feel bad for them :[
Kinda put a damper on the honeymoon

  • Brent Yen

    Lol….

  • webattorney

Believe me, I rather work than watch Lakers LIVE.

  • JW

just turn it off. if they are not gonna have lin in, there’s really no point in watching a tanking team.

  • blubell

    Jeremy coming back in

  • Grace Nsns

Lin in, after another TO by Clarkson.

  • wow .. CP3 just walked past Jabari Brown for an easy layup
Then horrible TO w/ double-dribble and shot clock violation on the other end.

    Terrible bball

  • JW

guess i’ll turn it back on again.

  • yess. come on Jeremy! 😀

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Byron is panicking.

  • leeda harun

according toBS ..that Byuck is a true PG

  • Alain Gervais

lin cant save this mess just focus on individual play

  • webattorney

    Griffin’s handle really improved.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    With Ryan Kelly, Black, Clarkson
I don’t think it will work.

  • wow.. Wes played PG and made poor pass into TO
    with Lin in

  • JW

    JC still in though.

  • wandertheglobe

lol. JC is being trapped, so he’s not able to do much.

  • blubell

What’s the point without ED? 🙁

  • Lin will need to score first

  • Rick Johnson

Won’t matter as long as Clarkson PG and initiating offense.

  • MoominFloren

Why? Losing is good, now behind 17pts

  • It’s a pickup game out there and nobody will look for the Asian guy, unfortunately.

  • Grace Nsns

    Who drew the foul?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Unless you can get DeAndre Jordon foul out, this game is over.
    the team chemistry is missing.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Lin with 2FTs

  • blubell

Made both with a smile 🙂

  • Lin’s smart to attack first and score FTs.
Establish order as the PG first

  • Grace Nsns

    glad he made both.

  • leeda harun

    thank god for that

  • blubell

    Assist!

  • yes, Lin to Kelly for 3!
Smart decision to find an open Kelly

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Sure glad Jeremy settles down. Go Jeremy!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Still no defense with the young kids.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Who’s got Redick?

  • orLinaryjoe

Look at the ball move. Too bad is not on the LAL.

  • JW

    Lin’s primary on him.

  • Clarkson playing PG and Lin playing SG. The only coach that would do that is… Byron Scott.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Byron so stubborn.
He should put in Ed Davis, Boozer, Jordon Hill: the veterans. This is a game for grown ups.

  • Alain Gervais

    clarkson was for the three

  • Lin needs to score and point to Davis at the bench, “For you, buddy!” :]
    Make a statement

  • JW

that’s why i said primary. i think there was a switch for that.

  • sws94

Now he’s seeing the type of defense Lin usually sees. It’s a different game when the other team targets you to stop you.

  • orLinaryjoe

    That explains it.

  • Alain Gervais

    correct

  • ah.. yes.. another lie 😀

  • blubell

    McHale…

  • JW

it was good to see lin still smiling when he was shooting his FTs.

  • true, making money > watching tanking ball

  • wandertheglobe

you think they are playing to win?

  • lol … can’t wait for next season’s drama :]

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I’m waiting for the first FG for Jeremy.

  • leeda harun

    BS getting tips from Mchale..lol

  • yes, with his Steve Nash-like hair :]

  • JW

i would’ve thought BS wanted to beat Clippers.

  • Alain Gervais

    lin playing zero pg role

  • JW

Reddick is really good playing w/o ball and using those screens.

  • webattorney

When Lin plays a SG, he’s not even playing as a SG because he runs and sets screens instead of trying to get open.

  • Rick Johnson

    No PnR. Just great Bryon.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

When will Jeremy come back to his game?

  • MoominFloren

Still manage to have an assist
Look how many assist made by the new Westbrook – ZERO

  • Alain Gervais

lin has been really bad since injury

  • Alain Gervais

    sickness

  • Grace Nsns

    Lin still ice cold.

  • sws94

Seems Lin is in a shooting slump.

  • Alain Gervais

    3 games

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is missing everything!!! Just stinks.

  • blubell

Not everything… he made FTs 🙂

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    0-5, sigh

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is finding it hard to get into rhythm. He is used to being PG and his minutes are few so he just is not getting comfortable shooting. I don’t think he is still sick.

  • Alain Gervais

lin should sit the rest of the games . dnp please

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Laker is so lucky that they’;re only 13 points behind. The 3rd Q is going to be nightmare for the Lakers.

  • akgul

Torture so far…hoping for a good second half from Lin

  • joyce ward

Give lin a break. He will be fine. Let him get rythm,

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Agree. He must be force to play in a difference offense designed by Byron Scott.

  • Rick Johnson

Can’t get rhythm. No picks set just standing in the corner waiting for a shot. Reminds me of how he was playing off the ball in Houston with Harden iso-ing

  • Grace Nsns

Yeah he looks much better, glad he didn’t stop shooting after all the misses.

  • Alain Gervais

lin has to fix his shot consistency next year. particularly the mid range shot

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s not his shot. It’s the timing to take the shot. He is not in sync with the entire offense.

  • Brent Yen

Nah….only robots hit that consistently…lol fans are just consistently impatient…lol

  • HeroBallJLIN

I like Lin coming off the bench on this team. Lin playing with teammates that provide no support. When Lin had boozer, Davis, even Hill, Lin was getting screens and help. In first unit Lin gets nothing, no help at all.

  • joyce ward

    Exactly

  • Grace Nsns

Dont’ be so negative, he needs the minutes to get back his rhythm.

  • Alain Gervais

good point lol when a rook is orchestrating the offense there is no offensive rhythm

  • Brent Yen

    LOL….I like him just leave

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Lin must leave LA.
Byron Scott has done funny things destroying the team.

  • Alain Gervais

fair still i cant wait for the improvements next year

  • leeda harun

    dont be ridiculous…

  • Alain Gervais

he has made it impossible by switching starter often. benching players at random times. its rough out there

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Should be Lin pg, Jr. sg.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Clippers has shut down Jordon Clarkson. Jeremy just got feed off from JC in the last seconds and that wouldn’t work.

  • Brent Yen

well depends on what you are looking for. hitting that spot at 50% the whole season is much easier than hit that spot at 50% each single game the whole season

  • orLinaryjoe

    Brainwashing job strong as tank.

  • Grace Nsns

He just needs to fix his shots, he’ll be fine. Even the newcomers made shot after shot no problem, as PFV said you got to hae some portable skills.

  • Brent Yen

Several sets were called, but JC rarely go with Lin. Lin was mostly having to create something out of nothing.

  • Alain Gervais

no team has focused on him at all. first time. like i said teams have let him score

  • orLinaryjoe

Shhhhhh, don’t give the tank away.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Figure that Doug Rivers is going to let JC go through his most valuable rookie stuff. Byron is sick!

  • leeda harun

another lesson to learn…need to know how to do that sooner or later

  • Alain Gervais

doc rivers actually playing defense on the rookie

  • Brent Yen

BTW, Lin was smiling while doing FT…..he seems happy for some reason…must be because only 6 games left

  • JoeTeam

    been there done that.

  • joyce ward

    Doc Rivers

  • orLinaryjoe

    Anybody see guard sharing duties?

  • cali7

Lin hitting his shots during warm up now

  • Alain Gervais

yea I’m looking for mostly individual ball moves. this offense requires a lot of 1 on 1 play. lin still has to improve on that.

  • cali7

    He and davis chatting now

  • Alain Gervais

tbh idk how long lin will play so hopefully he does well while out there

  • cali7

    All net

  • Grace Nsns

Hope he’d carry it into the 2nd half

    Go Jeremy!

  • joyce ward

he and davis are gone for sure.LOL

  • cali7

    I know

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It has been really like h*** in Laker.

  • Alain Gervais

    i was a bit ridiculus

  • Hallelujah LOL

  • Alain Gervais

    agreed

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The only reason that Clippers is only ahead by 13 points is
Doc Rivers let their 2nd team in for a long time all by themselves like the Lakers did.
Once the first team was in, they started hitting the Lakers.
The Lakers is just a punch bag.

  • cali7

Davis hugged doc rivers just now

  • Alain Gervais

lins like sooooooo what teams you wanna join

  • Grace Nsns

1st time the rookie faced double-team, good for his development.

  • I wish for “So I got this interesting MDA text today …”

  • joyce ward

Is lin chatting with other team mates?

  • leeda harun

yeah they both know why they are not giving PT these days

  • cali7

Lakers or clippers? With lakers yeah

  • joyce ward

    Thanks

  • CJSHYY

Just got home. Did Lin be a PG? His shots didn’t fall again?

  • Maknusia

    CP’s 10AST

  • Alain Gervais

zero pg none at all sg all game

  • Kwok Wai Lai

‘Coach Scott, can I tell you something?’ Lin
    ‘What is it?’ Byron
‘Your offense simply doesn’t work today because CP3 seems to know everything you’re running.’ Lin
‘Yeah, he was my star PG.’

  • TTNN

Did Lin’s back has problem? he looks stiff.

  • CJSHYY

    Did Clippers double team Lin?

  • Maknusia

Yeah…his shots are not falling….not even bothered by it 🙂

  • stam

maybe he knows something we don’t know about a potential trade.

  • BobbyH

What an ugly and boring offense Lakers is playing in this game.

  • CJSHYY

Lin go short playing time again?

  • Alain Gervais

he hasn’t used any screens so idk

  • blubell

    Swish!

  • orLinaryjoe

    LIN!!!!!

  • Grace Nsns

    step back shot!

  • GoodDayLA

Lin and kelly totally frozen out

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Sweet first FG from Lin!!!!!

  • Alain Gervais

    wes shoots it at will

  • Grace Nsns

    finally, 2pt!

  • Impressive, Lin even tried to fight for rebound vs DeAndre Jordan!

  • orLinaryjoe

Clipper annoncers annoying as h*ll too.

  • Grace Nsns

    another one!

  • GoodDayLA

Lin looks content not to try too hard anymore. refs calling nothing for lin…

  • MoominFloren

    Yes!

  • Lin’s finding ways to score or find open teammates

  • Maknusia

Give him time…he will get back into rhythm

  • leeda harun

    go go jeremy !!!!

  • Maknusia

    4PTs including FTs

  • That’s the 2nd time Wes got blocked by the rim.
    Wow!

  • cali7

Lin talking lot with the ref

  • Brent Yen

    LOL, Lin really looks happy..

  • blubell

    Lots of smiles today

  • GoodDayLA

    Yeah haha he does

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin should have gotten that foul on his last shot made. Ref not giving him calls.

  • GoodDayLA

Theyre racists, not just against Asians. Nba suspended them for racism before

  • blubell

This Rim guy must be a good defender lol.

  • Brent Yen

    Not gonna be a trade.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron would rather use Boozer than Davis, is Laker going to sign Boozer next season?

  • he kept telling himself “6 more to go, yesss” lol

  • MoominFloren

    6 games left :))

  • blubell
  • GoodDayLA

Dood be quiet . U broken record. This is tank central. Stop!

  • CJSHYY

I think so bc didn’t you see how warm Boozer to Kobe?

  • blubell

    Like clockwork… Jeremy is out.

  • 6th Man of the year! lol

  • Alain Gervais

lins done for day. id rather him not play at all if he plays this little

  • cali7

Lin had a long chat with the ref at the last time out

  • blubell

    He deserves to start!

  • leeda harun

it is not up to lin..

  • grover chang

Won’t sugar coat it. The last three games have been tough to watch with Lin rhythm off. Double painful is I recall last year Lin played these clippers like puppets on a string with Harden out and Lin running the rockets offense. Ugh!

  • stam

Is there anyway that Lin can sue the NBA refs for bad calls?

  • Alain Gervais

    6 more games

  • joyce ward

    Lin was sick…

  • Maknusia

    Keeping him healthy… 🙂

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Did you notice that once Lin was pulled, the Clippers enlarge their lead.

  • sws94

Paul is as good as advertised.

  • JoeTeam

and he’s just cruising to summer. JC winning those 2 for Phils makes this whole season a bust, so everybody gave up. There’s nothing to go for, even losing.

  • HeroBallJLIN

    as always

  • Alain Gervais

omg boozer wish he was dnp cd

  • Brent Yen

Not sure, but he is really good

  • TTNN

    How is JC defending Griffen?

  • joyce ward

    Yep.

  • Brent Yen

    lazy transition D….

  • Keith

Some Lin fans are gonna say you are not being real. 🙂

  • joyce ward

    LOL

  • cali7

Lin was playing better and scott took him out

  • sws94

I don’t like his flopping and complaining about calls but his fundamentals are great. He sees the floor, is efficient in his moves, secure with the ball, and great at getting his team mates easy shots. He’s a real point guard and when he needs to, he can score.

  • TTNN

Lin is the only starter has single digit +/-? how come? Lin played the less?

  • Brent Yen

But he chokes a lot in play offs….I still have my doubts..

  • TTNN

yeah, he was 6 min less than the lowest time player in starters.

  • sws94

Yep, looks like he was beginning to get a rhythm and out he goes.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Too bad Lin is done for the game 🙁

  • Maknusia

    lol…at this point…probably many from the team..wishes that 🙂

  • sws94

That’s true, that’s the one area he hasn’t excelled and needs to prove himself.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin needs to get into good rhythm first before he can start shooting better.

  • Keith

even his shot was not falling on Friday, his +/- was still one of the best for Lakers

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Clipper has scored 10 unanswered points since Lin was gone.

  • CJSHYY

BS… I don’t mind now bc why risk to get injury for this team?!

  • sws94

Doc Rivers makes Scott looks like amateur. Actually, most coaches do.

  • Maknusia

thats not new as well 🙂

  • grover chang

Clarkson got better in sharing the ball, making more passes, but he still seems to miss that ability to set the tempo and get his team in rhythm. A subtle talent I’ve seen unique to a few like Lin. Other teams like the Hawks have a system in place to get the team in rhythm but Lin is able to do that on his own. This game would feel totally different if Lin ran the show, but BS truly would think it was just luck.

  • IMO It’s intentional that BScott took Lin out 7 min into Q3 after he got some rhythm to score and distribute the ball.

  • Grace Nsns

Oh no! He just got his rhythm back a little bit, he needs more minutes!

  • Brent Yen

He made weird mistakes in playoffs. I was just scratching my head…

  • HeroBallJLIN

Whether Lin plays good or bad, Lin gets taken out same time like clockwork

  • joyce ward

    I agree.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Laker has not made a FG since Lin was gone. The lead exploded.

  • stam

Yeah, he would have gotten taken out regardless of good or bad i think.

  • Rick Johnson

They are so far behind, there is no way JLin could mess up the tank. There’s tanking, then there’s being embarrassed.

  • sws94

I wonder what is on big Ed’s mind. What he really thinks. How do you not play Davis? Terrible.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Right now probably the new theory it’s to see how this new PG doing. So needs more playing time for him. smh!

  • Maknusia

Playoffs pressure are obviously different, any any mistakes there, gets amplified

  • Brent Yen

    hahahaha

  • CJSHYY

Bc Ed is going to option out so they will not let him play anymore. BS is BS.

  • stam

    that was unselfish of paul.

  • Alain Gervais

    true pg my …

  • Alain Gervais

some player you really don’t need to see them play

  • Brent Yen

I know, but he is the “point God”

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    81:54
That reflects how bad Byron Scott has done to this team by changing to this new lineup.

  • stam

Lakers are outgunned and more like outcoached…you don’t even have your best defensive player out there…

  • Lin -7 is the best among starters at end of Q3 w/ Lakers trailing 28pts (54-82)
    Rest with -16 to -23

It means Lin’s the only starter not playing (&losing) most with other starters

  • Maknusia

lol…I’m not even watching now…waiting for Lin to get back…

  • Kwok Wai Lai

When Lin left it was 62:49 13 points behind.
    Now it’s 83:54 29 points behind.
Byron, why don’t you retire now?

  • HeroBallJLIN

Nothing to look forward to on Tuesday. Same teams same beating.

  • stam

I would much rather Lin be a bench player if he actually played PG of the second unit..

  • Rick Johnson

    He’s got to pay alimony

  • sws94

So now he puts in Davis.

  • leeda harun

dont bet on it.BS still not giving PT to lin.

  • BScott stopped giving PT or good roles to Lin w/ 6 games left & Lin possibly not coming back

  • HeroBallJLIN

Wes Johnson already took 16 shot attempts. He’s really trying to get signed next season.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

BS is either so fear or so dumb not to let Lin have the ball to lead the team.

  • Grace Nsns

Davis and Sacre in, Lin’s done for today?

  • Maknusia

yeah…just waiting for the season to be over

  • Maknusia

    BScott is winning…aint he?

  • CJSHYY

    Ya! I think so…smh!

  • Grace Nsns

Lin played only 17min, just about get his rhythm back, dam* BS

  • HeroBallJLIN

Whenever Robert Sacre comes in, basically means the game is over. Like a wounded deer, giving up.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I think Clippers might win by 50 points by playing their 2nd team with 8 mins left in the game.

  • CJSHYY

Wow! I think anyone who bought the tickets for Tue game better sell bc this game it’s so bad… Can’t believe BS really put this for Lakers fans… smh!

  • JoeTeam

It’s pretty clear now … LAL trying to lose 100% of rest of games, Lin took his LAL stuff off site according to other posters, and they are just running scrimmage. Lin is at the SG corner and you can see JC and other ignoring him because they are scrambling for stats for whatever they need. Just hoping to see a good 10 mins here and there for me.

  • stam

Poor Ed, he’s playing with such crappy team mates…

  • CJSHYY

They don’t care about his rhythm… BS… smh!

  • I am The Jason

What a sad way to spend your Easter Sunday if you are a laker fan.

  • kittyhead

I wont deny I wanna see that to happen eagerly…Lakers are a joke.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

ZERO chance J Lin will return with the Lakers if BS is still there.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    Wow,37 pts behind

  • yup .. only Lin good shooting will probably give him a bit more min
    Otherwise, it’s just audition time

  • Maknusia

lol….tanking should be happy about it

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    This is an embarrassing loss.
Take the 2 D-leaguer out!!! Silly coach!

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin has the best +/- at -7

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    40 pts behind now
    Let’s go for 50

  • Alain Gervais

will this loss reach epic levels

  • Brent Yen

    hahahahahahahahahaha

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    43 points now!

  • kittyhead

    7 points more please!!

  • orLinaryjoe

Fixed: Won’t sugar coat it. The last three games have been tough to watch with Lin playing SG, being ignored by ball hogs, no ball movement, no Davis, no coach, and taken out of the game. Double painful is I recall last year Lin played these clippers like puppets on a string with Harden out and Lin running the rockets offense. Ugh!

  • Is there a mercy rule in the NBA? They need to stop this game

  • leeda harun

BS will say he needs new player on team.

  • kittyhead

    Go Clippers!!

  • Keith

Lin smiles, that’s all i care.

    Video: @JLin7's Close-up at Opening,Timeout & FreeThrow vs Clippers. https://t.co/bOv97jSJbW pic.twitter.com/jxTzd89D5M— Librafree (@Librafree) April 6, 2015

  • Maknusia

is this the lowest scoring game ever from LAL?

  • wandertheglobe

I love this game, D league team playing against NBA bench

  • CJSHYY

NBA TV will feel so shame to broadcast this lousy game in National TV. smh!

  • MoominFloren

Let’s go for 50 pts Clippers!

  • BobbyH

This is a sinking ship with blind owners, clueless captain at helm, and poor fans don’t know what to do. Pathetic at best.

  • Brent Yen

and they have to do it again….lol

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    I said so!

  • sws94

Great, Davis has to play in garbage time with Bykes (however you spell his name, he looks terrible)

  • orLinaryjoe

Not as badly as needing a new coach.

  • cali7

    Lots of fans leaving

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Remember BS called the Clippers are not good enough to be rivalry with the Lakers?

  • CJSHYY

Really? Oh! Just check 2 more from NBA TV. One from TNT. TNT maybe will cancel. smh! I don’t know what’s wrong w Buss family? Brain wash by BS…?!

  • BobbyH

In terms of tanking, I guess. Now Lakers see drafts as trophy.

  • Maknusia

    did he!…he deserves this!

  • cali7

    This is tank prime

  • Sunny Sullenberger

Clips have 6 guys with double digits, cp3 has 15 assists

Now look at the lakers, sigh

  • CJSHYY

Of course, what a waste time & money. NBA should ban & fine Lakers for doing so… smh!

  • Grace Nsns

the same lineup? I’m out. nite everybody!

  • orLinaryjoe

They may set the record for largest point deficit loss.

  • orLinaryjoe

    I vote Tanksanity Prime, LOL

  • Grace Nsns

Poor ED, bricked every single FT.

  • Alain Gervais

    4 games left

  • orLinaryjoe

Enough bricks all around to solve the homeless crisis.

  • orLinaryjoe

    4 too many.

  • orLinaryjoe

Ok, good night good folks. May enjoy doing laundry over this.

  • Alain Gervais

    its actually 6

  • Maknusia

    smh…just waste of time! sigh

  • Maknusia

    nite nite

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin played the least amount of minutes (17min) out of the starters. Why start Lin? Lakers trying to get Asian people to come to their horrible games. Lakers trying to patronize Asian fans by saying Lin starts but gives him even less minutes then when he came off the bench.

  • sws94

Ed is disgusted, you can tell.

  • MEL LIN

    what happened to Clarsanity tonight?

  • Dan Cohen

what’s up with his hair… should get back the original one.. like the one on top right corner..
anymore hair like this it’s going to make him look he has no swagger, but a ‘regular chinese guy’.

  • HeroBallJLIN

    Right through Booze’s legs

    https://vine.co/v/Ol9wT5rwa0Y

  • Dan Cohen

but lin also has a pass like that..don’t see them say anything.. it was stationary though….but then have to admit this one was more impressive even though more riskier.. hey high risk, high rewardio.

  • joyce ward

Does lin have the towel over his head?LOL

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin was so fast with that no pass that no one caught that assist by Lin.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Laker is not afraid of having none of their fans coming to watch their home game because the Clipper fans will come.

  • tin3ytina

man.. lakers trying to send him a message or what? its horrible.

  • akgul

Byron scott: putting jeremy lin at the starting line up last 10 games….didnt say how long he would play tho….

  • joyce ward

Where I work, those die hard laker fans are going to be p*ssed tomorrow. Many are already mad that lin/davis will be leaving because kobe is coming back. I gotta tell you, they have realized that Kobe is the problem. They want him gone.

  • Rick Johnson

Looks like he knows something. Either knows he has a better team in the bag or Byron Scott is getting fired at the end of the season.

    https://twitter.com/linfinity88/status/584926456968417282?s=09

  • CJSHYY

CP3 made JC looked so slow & dumb. LOL!

  • Grace Nsns

    scouted and shut down.

  • PPP

appeared he talked to Griffin, anyone can read his lips?

  • Rick Johnson

Didn’t say what position he’d play either. Might as well play center. SMH

  • joyce ward

We all knew that it was a done deal once Lin took down the laker stuff from his website and when he did that interview with Pablo. I am glad that he didn’t play that much in this slaughter tonight. I wander Scott is going to say about the game.

  • CJSHYY

    He smile bc of Griffin…

  • MEL LIN

    lol starting what a joke

  • MEL LIN

    lol

  • joyce ward

Yep, and it’s going to happen again and again.

  • JoeTeam

or who he would team up with or who would get usage ha ha.

  • Samuel

“#6 is the next big thing, and he might be an all star one day, while Lin is just a NBA player..”

  • MEL LIN

I wonder where Jeremy is going hmmmm?

  • CJSHYY

I think he changed that picture bc they asked him to be SG not PG… along w that bible tweet…. Ya! Lin will not stay I think. I just don’t get why Buss kids will allow BS to play the lousy game in national TV?! I believe Lakers lose lots of money due to the tanking. Bc their ticket price is down down down…

  • MEL LIN

    barely haha

  • joyce ward

i bet the Rookie is shelled shock after CP3 ate him for lunch.LOL

  • CJSHYY

No needs to care what BS said bc it’s all BS. smh!

  • Rick Johnson

I didn’t see Kobe. This was considered a home game right?

  • dolphin2k2

Its like the monkey’s paw. Everything you wish for turns out horribly wrong.

  • CJSHYY

    He did. LOL!

  • JoeTeam

clarkson with 2 pts … pretty hard to be a PG he’s learning.

  • CJSHYY

No, it’s Clippers home game not Lakers.

  • joyce ward

Nah, I think Lin sent them a message with the magazine article and him taking laker of his website, that I am not coming back to come off the bench.

  • Samuel

I think Clippers are the first NBA team to treat Jr like a NBA player this year..

  • Samuel

    go home and rest

  • joyce ward

Clarkson/Hill/Young are all trade bait. If they sign Rondo, he is not going to play with rookies. He will want some good seasoned vet role players. The only rookie lakers invested in is Randle.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    It’s Lakers.

  • akgul

seriously now sinus infection and all that probably affects his game…but not to this extent i mean he really looks like he dont care out there….6 more games and he is out of shawshank

  • tin3ytina

some players are really good, and some are just not scouted yet. so, if clarkson does not perform well next year, we can conclude that he was just not scouted yet.

  • CJSHYY

Oh! Ya! So next game it’s Clippers. Weird. Why played so bad in front of your fans? BS is BS.

  • joyce ward

Kobe is just fronting. He only cares about himself. He is jocking hard trying to get Rondo to LA, so that Rondo can help him get another contract.

  • MEL LIN

no I mean next team? You should go to lakernation Samuel……they are looking for you haha

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Adam Silver should fine the Lakers big for torturing its fans?

  • takemeback2reaganyears

They share the same arena and I think the Clippers have heard enough praising about Clarkson.

  • Samuel

there are 100 Samuels there, whoever says something nice about Lin, then he call him Samuel..

  • blubell
  • blubell
  • CJSHYY

I don’t care about JC? Did they nice to Lin still or changed the tone again to against Lin?

  • tin3ytina

    lol! there’s a high probability of that…

  • akgul

From my point of view in the blazers game it looked like they barely played D on him getting open shots after every pick and roll…this game was the first game where he got demolished by some real defending…the guy can shoot when he gets the open shots gotta give him that…

  • MEL LIN

I know they were cloning you

  • CJSHYY

I think JC & Young are trade bait. Hill? No one wants him now next season maybe even more difficult then?

  • joyce ward

Here is the damage control. They are so full of it.LOL

  • bolero

He’s cool with griffin, many times BG try to protect Lin from falling down in some games before..

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

THis controls nothing. He is basically saying LAL players suck, nothing BS can do. LOL

  • PPP

Trudell was wrong, lakers have 4 1st rounder playing in this game.

  • Samuel

you can tell who is the real one just by check the post count

  • tin3ytina

also, lilliard is not a great defender. cp3 is. these things make a difference in how one plays. it’s no coincidence that JC played well against lilliard, while not with cp3

  • TTNN

?? who are they? Wes, Boozer, Hill? then?

  • PPP

    davis

  • tin3ytina

    LN so silly! and immature.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! They just tried to say how important the draft ranking… smh! I am not even bother to say anything to Lakers now. Just can’t wait to end of this season.

  • bolero

that’s why Lin always get 2 defenders , they know he’s deadly..

  • TTNN

oh, okay. And of course Lin was undrafted.

  • tin3ytina

yea… clarkson may have a difficult time next year once he’s scouted. but, will give it to him that he can usually score when open.

  • TTNN

Scott was given too much excuse that he got a bad line up. But that does not gives him excuse to play the bad part of the line up.

  • TTNN
  • joyce ward

We know this, this is just mike’s way of looking for an excuse.Did you see he mention the seven inured players(that never really effected the team)

  • Yascar

    Right on.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

BS was forced to play, he just played them over starters

  • joyce ward

Don’t fool yourself, all the teams like Bigs.

  • Kianainhi

It started when Lin/Griffin was playing at ASG after Linsanity. I recall Blake held Lin up from falling in Hou/Clip game in Houston. It was a baseline foul.

  • Charlie S

BS to JLin: You’re starting now
    JLin: Sweet. Starting PG?
    BS: You’re starting with JC
JLin: Am I going to be PG?
    BS: … You’re starting
JLin: Do I get to play with Ed and Booze?
    BS: … You’re starting

  • blubell
  • akgul

True im going to keep an eye out on clarkson next season not because i believe he is really that great…the guy is a SG…how will he manage with kobe and teams who will have studied how he plays…the way teams have been playing him at the PG role as oppose to Lin has been very different…byron gives JC more freedom and does the exact opposite to lin…i bet everything i got he wont be having all that freedom when kobe comes back.

  • Kianainhi

Question will be how he recovers/learn in the next Clip game. CP3 got his number. lol

  • tin3ytina

honestly, that’s how i feel too. i don’t think he’s gonna be as great as many reporters are making him out to be. BUT, the thing with these players is that you just never really know until it happens. so, i don’t want to straight up say that he won’t be good. just gonna wait and see.

  • Kianainhi

    Where was JC defense?

  • joyce ward

So what are the TCW fakers saying tonight? LOL

  • blubell

They would be great teammates :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0xjSMoCa9A

  • tin3ytina

it looks like JC is kinda slow when matched with fast pg like cp3

  • joyce ward

Next game, lin will be running PG against CP3..LOL

  • Kianainhi

Don’t know. I refuse to watch TWC pregame and postgame bs.starting tonight.

  • tin3ytina

lakers are ready for summer vacation already!

  • joyce ward

Lin is looking like this is so disgusting.

  • Yascar

I bet he’s so happy he’s leaving. No pride is being part of the Lakers’ immediate future at all.

  • wandertheglobe

I think Lin is better off packing it in and not play the last 6 games. What’s the point really? Risking injury for this lousy coach and team is not worth it. If I were his agent, I would call Kupchak to make the request on Lin’s behalf.

  • joyce ward

    Check out lin..LOL

  • CJSHYY

I agree. They don’t allow him to play & why waste time for this team.

  • MEL LIN

    i know hahaha….

  • blubell

Haha. “Who cares what’s coming up next.” lol.

  • akgul

Yeah same here we will see next season…as for lin…the guy has got the tools too suceed but if there is one aspect he has to train on during the offseason it has to be the mid range game..put that in and he will be deadly..Lin is very nashlike in the way he plays..put that jumper in and we will see him put 30 on lakers next season!

  • kittyhead

Totally agreed!! This treatment is humiliation…

  • CJSHYY

    From today or old one?

  • tin3ytina

also, needs more practice with double teams/great defense. and shooting off the dribble. and handles. at least, that’s what i think..

  • joyce ward

    Today

  • CJSHYY

Wow! This face sure show how bad he feel about this team. He will leave. He wants to win & will not waste his time for tanking again.

  • Kianainhi

Agree. Love Griffin’s commercials, could be in Lin’s yt vids like Nash. lol

  • TTNN
  • Maknusia

Why am I wasting my time here?!!…could have rested…

  • CJSHYY

I think so too but there is no chance Young will be back this season. I hate FO is so weak to allow Kobe & BS to do whatever they want on this team. smh!

  • akgul

I agree with you on those aspects as well he will get there keep practising and he will get there…Im not saying this because im a lin fan…you can see when a players got talent…it’s not hard too see it with lin…it is hard to see him being played this way…2 years from now i believe Lin will be on his A-game.

  • joyce ward

So Young found out on twitter what scott said about him…smh

  • CJSHYY

Also glad Young speaks out … I guess he doesn’t mind to get traded now.

  • TTNN

I don’t know, Young had 4 yr contract so he still has 3 yrs to go. Unless Lakers will trade him, but I don’t get why Byron want to drop his value this way. Young is not even playing.

  • leeda harun

    agreed.

  • tin3ytina

depending on who they get off season, very high chance of young getting traded. i don’t see young thriving under byron’s coaching. young, like lin, needs positive environment to be successful.

  • CJSHYY

That’s how dumb this FO … I think he will be traded.

  • It’s actually not a bad idea.

Knowing Lin, he’s probably too competitive to not play especially after a bad game.
Perhaps he can have a great game then sit out the rest of these tanking games.

  • TTNN

it was pretty stupid for Byron to say that if Lakers get some FA during summer, Young might not even able to make it to rotation. He have not get his FA yet, and already starting to throw his player under the bus, I doubted what kind of FA want to come to play for him.

Just think why a FA want to come? Other than money, they don’t have good players, they don’t have good coaches. One attractive thing is they could afford to have multiple player come at the same time, but that will not be this year. So there will be another year up in the air, so Lakers don’t want to have multi-year contract, Lakers will be filled up with one year contract players again.

  • cali7

He didn’t. Just around his neck this time. haha.

  • tin3ytina

don’t underestimate LA! FA (at least the ones who are concerned about fame and money) want to come to LA… it’s a foolish move, but many are enticed by all the stardom they think they will get with the TV network and $$$

  • CJSHYY
  • TTNN

    Does Lin’s nose looks right?

  • Brent Yen

I can not wait to celebrate the last day of the season. Magic number is now 6!

  • CJSHYY

Can’t agree more w this one. I hope Lin can just DNP to the end of the season.

    https://twitter.com/zukovka/status/584901599446827008

  • let’s break open a virtual champagne on Apr 15 after the Kings game!

  • TTNN
  • tin3ytina

didn’t this happen to lin a bunch too? these media people only see it now? now that it’s happening to JC? i sense a little bit of bias here

  • joyce ward

They do this to lin all the time.

  • Grace Nsns

    looks fine to me.

  • tin3ytina

a little crooked? did he break his nose before?

  • TTNN

I guess the CLIPRs know JC likes to score out of pick and roll, thus double him could be pretty effective.

  • Announcers also said Clippers definitely game-planned against him. Life will be tougher for Rookies of the Month when you’re on the scouting report.

    2pts with 1-6 shooting in 26 min.
No doubt Byron will continue to “develop” Clarkson more in Round 2 vs Clippers in 2 days

I expect the same results of this blitz

  • joyce ward

Clarkson is a one trick pony, like young,

  • TTNN

looks a little swelled, not sure whether crooked or not.

  • CJSHYY

Haha! JC thought he is next Kobe.. LOL! In the past they don’t care he score or not & since Lin can’t handle the ball now so …. When Kobe, Randle & new draft guy all show up next season. He will know what’s the real Lakers game looks like… LOL!

  • tin3ytina

now you got me focused on his nose!! hahaha u are right, maybe swollen. maybe blowing his nose from sinus infection.

  • kittyhead

hahaha I dont understand it’s any big deal?? Lin never takes this as excuses.

  • CJSHYY

Bc dream just broken…. LOL! I don’t even bother to say anything to Lakers media now. They will learn more about what JC really is….Just enjoy the show. LOL!

  • tin3ytina

i think coaching will really work with JC tomorrow so that he will be ready for clippers on tuesday. BS is really trying to make the JC experiment work so he would look like a competent coach. JC getting superstar treatment

  • kittyhead

Cant wait either!! But I hope Lin will have a mini-Linsanity game in front of Karl even with very limited time that day!!

  • Maknusia

Picture?!!!Sorry couldnt find except one!…. Knowing its a tanking game, probably the camera men were not even bothered….

  • CJSHYY

I don’t think so… from today’s game you can tell.. they don’t have any game plan to against Clippers. They just put out the lousy game to loss. JC didn’t ISO too much today. I think the plan changed again. Just tank to let these new comers to play & loss the game.

  • tin3ytina

yeah… newcomers are really making game miserable to watch. nothing against them. glad they are getting a chance. but, hard to watch still.

  • CJSHYY

Bc he only played 17 min so…it’s OK.

  • CJSHYY

I know that’s why I wish they just let Lin DNP to avoid injury. If he only will play for less than 20 min per game why bother to lower his stats? I don’t mind he gets DNP now.

  • sport

It’s too bad Blake’s a Clipper, he’s one of the star PFs that would work well with PGs.

  • LAJane

Anybody needs a positive environment to be successful. If not devoted to their development, then at least positive. Lots of reminders on this site of great players who did not achieve their MVP status until they got into supportive conditions.

  • Rick Johnson

Ya, they never bring that up when Lin gets double teamed game after game.

  • Brewkowski

    Looks broken. Swollen and bruising.

  • kittyhead

I dont watch the whole game, but I dont think Clippers tried hard to shut him down. Defensively, being double-teamed is just common…no big deal…

  • tin3ytina

i agree. but thats not going to happen. BS will stay with lin as SG with limited minutes. and keep putting in Ed for garbage time. while D-leaguers get majority of minutes. player development for players who probably won’t see many minutes next year. wasting everyone’s talents and time right now.

  • joyce ward

What kind of coaching tips is scott going to give him? Clippers will turn it up even more because it will be a home game for them.

  • sws94

No. In the video it doesn’t look right. Maybe he took a hit to it and it swell up a little. He was hit hard in this game at least two times.

  • CJSHYY

So JC was that bad.. LOL!

  • CJSHYY

    I sure hope so… LOL!

  • tin3ytina

i don’t know… but they will probably study film together? but, yeah, you’re right. his coaching tips are probably going to be useless. we wouldn’t know because byron hasn’t given any tips to any players all season long.

  • sws94

He flunks basic communication skills. I don’t like Young’s ball hogging and chucking, but he is a good-natured guy. You have to treat him better than that. Scott feels he doesn’t have to tell his players anything, they’ll just handle whatever garbage comes out of his mouth.

  • CJSHYY

I think so. Really hate BS is so evil. Besides w Lin on the court w JC, that sure can help JC to have more score chance… smh!

  • tin3ytina

    BS = manipulative

  • LAJane

Oh, so the draft is now the certain predictor of wins? This is such a stupid tweet that you have to seriously wonder if this guy has ever watched a basketball game in his life, or if maybe he’s a computer generated avatar running on DOS software with a 286 chip.

  • joyce ward

they are not studying film, because scott doesn’t. I think lin might be the only one that actually studies film. They might play lin at PG against Clipps on Tuesday.LOL

  • Brent Yen

Yes sir! We need to figure something we can do online to celebrate! lol

  • tin3ytina

i hope so! don’t like him in his new position… not that i think he’s a bad SG, but lakers offense is bad right now

  • Brent Yen

It is not like BS can give good advice to Lin after a film session anyway

  • tin3ytina

BS did not even try… special treatment for special players only. lin is not special to BS

  • Brent Yen

He is, Lin is especially annoying to BS….lol

  • JoeTeam

I give him and any NBA player the ability to shoot when open. It’s really cool to see a cold guy get some points up in wide opens. They do it tens of thousands of times maybe a million. So, yeah, I give them their trade ha ha. No overpraise for JC still sorry yep I’m being bad 🙂

  • Brent Yen

Although, Lin missed lots of shots. His misses were pretty straight in general….Good to see.

  • wandertheglobe

I’ll bet Kupchak is regretting his hire of Byron Scott big time. It’s too late now that he gave him $17M. I think Scott will have at least 2 years or until Kobe retired.

  • joyce ward

I think he took 8 shots, right?

  • tin3ytina

    LOL

  • Brent Yen

Yeah….he generally taking more shots after ASB. even in games like this. Good to see that too.

  • Yascar

Yep I’m ready for a party!

  • Brent Yen

IF this is really a tank job, the magic number is 3 now for seal that top 4 spot. Maybe we will see big numbers again in final 3 games…lol…ok I know that is just wishful thinking.

  • JoeTeam

    wishful is good

  • joyce ward

I am glad he did not stop shooting.

  • LAJane

    LOL

  • CJSHYY

Bc he knew his playing time is shorter & shorter each game. I wish only one game left… smh!

  • Brent Yen

Very important for him. Hard to decide for a PG tho. Especially for the one that is really good at passing

  • Brent Yen

If JC can not accelerate, he just degenerates to a cone with a ball.

  • Brent Yen

BTW, I did not realize JB’s ball handling is that bad. He will have serious trouble if he can not improve it.

  • joyce ward

    Yeah, he was pretty bad.

  • Brent Yen

No way a guard handles ball like that can survive in NBA.

  • CJSHYY

    Who is JB?

  • Brent Yen

    JB JC JL JH…so many Js….Jabari Brown…

  • CJSHYY

Oh! He is SG not PG. The new PG seems not very good either.

  • joyce ward
  • Brent Yen

M….any guard has to be good…unless you never have to dribble

  • joyce ward

But yet scott states he is ready for the NBA. LOL

  • Brent Yen

He got contract now, for his own sake, he better go practice..like I care…..LOL

  • Brent Yen

So if Lin goes to Clipper………

  • CJSHYY

Did anyone watch the game w TWC tonight? What did they say about Lin?

  • Brent Yen

Stu was surprisingly ok to me. He saw Lin fall down many times. Saying it is not good for his back.

  • Brent Yen

Their game plan is give the ball to JC

  • CJSHYY

So what’s w FO & TWC?! After Davis decided to option out they started to teat him bad….. smh!

  • Brent Yen

Joyce and you must have a strong neck….you shake so much…..JK

  • CJSHYY

Haha! Don’t you get mad what BS to Davis? LOL!

  • Winner

This is the look on Lin’s face when he leaves the Lakers.

Clippers announcers on Clarkson RT @FlyByKnite: "He was a second round pick for a reason. Someone has to be the best scorer on a bad team."— Silver Screen & Roll (@LakersSBN) April 6, 2015

i know you guys don’t like talking about clarkson, but thought this was an interesting point made by clippers broadcasters. could be true.

  • joyce ward

What does that mean? Clippers not to kind to lin, so I take this with a grain of salt.-

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Guess I’m beyond disgusted with BS, KB and Lakers FO now. Glad that one more ugly game is down and
    6 more games
10 more days to end watching this shameful tanking org. I’m so ready to wash my hand of this org than ever.

    95 days to FA.

Pray for getting your rhythm back, stay healthy and continue to improve your game before season ends. Pray that more teamball orgs with coach who believes in you will make an offer so that you can choose well to play in the years to come. Go JLin!!!!

  • tin3ytina

that means.. he wasn’t good this game, and it really showed that he was a second round pick for a reason. might be that clarkson looked good last few games because he’s on a bad team. fool’s gold kind of thing.

  • joyce ward

    OK

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Well, BS hypes him up so badly. To me, he isn’t a pg but sg. I just don’t like his “pg” games no matter how much he has scored. He has no pg instinct.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • kittyhead

I guess River will let River play ahead Lin and suddenly River will become a top backup point guard or some kind of defensive specialist.lol But I remember Collison did play well with CP3 last year. And I think Lin is better than him on both ends. Maybe Lin and CP3’s combination will work? And Lin’s pnr with Griffin will be the lethal weapon!!

  • orLinaryjoe

Thanks, now it is 6 too many. Better with4, lol.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Every time after hearing from PFV, I learn something more about basketball.
I feel much better about Jeremy’s game now. Every losses serves to build up the strength and his intelligence about playing the game. At the very least, Jeremy has been a threat to the big man, DeAndre Jordon.

Looking forward to seeing a stronger Jeremy next game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy is still not 100% and got tired early but he’s getting there. He’s one of the few Laker players that can stay with the Clippers on the court. The defense of Jeremy against DeAndre Jordon is specially impressive considering the mismatches. After listening to PFV’s analysis, I am feeling much better now. I’m no basketball expert and I kow it.

Also it’s Tarik Black and not Ed Davis who is playing along side with Jeremy. Of course there is a difference!

Since Byron doesn’t care about the loss so why should Jeremy take the loss hard. The skill and intelligence of Jeremy in playing this game is worth watching.

Jeremy has a good game in defense. Once he left, the team simply collapsed. Jeremy at least learned to play a game at lower energy level when he is still affected by the sinus infliction.

  • Filler-up

    Boozer was second rounder.

  • Spot
  • tin3ytina

then, i’ll be attending clipper games. there goes my lakers loyalty.. heh.. i’m a horrible fan, but lakers are a mess.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Perhaps it may work.
Jeremy’s defense certainly can help the Clipper. CP3 is 29 now but Jeremy is still 26. I’m looking forward to this. In fact the Clippers has no backup PG for the team. They need one when CP3 is getting older.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

PG often needs more time to mature. First year PG usually doesn’t play well enough.

  • tin3ytina

awww stu is like jeremy’s grandpoppy all of a sudden.. worrying about jeremy’s well-being. this is getting cute.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron only disses Jeremy deliberately. Is it hard love or simply malicious bias.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s not entirely JC’s fault. Tarik Black should play without the ball and offer the guards more help.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS has low tolerance on Jeremy’s game and extremely high tolerance for others.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I don’t think Clippers would allow JC score over 30 on them.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Exactly!

  • KL

Any of you think that Jeremy is being frozen out (even more) by Scott after the Pablo Torre article? That article definitely put Scott and Bryant in a bad light.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron on purpose breaks up Lin-Davis connection. Tarik Black of course is not even comparable to Ed Davis in many aspects. The Clippers often double team Jeremy with Tarik’s man and Tarik couldn’t help Jeremy out of the double team at all.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is getting there. There is less and less nasal congestion in his post game interview. He’s recovering from his sinus infliction.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

DeAndre Jordon is a beast on the court. Jeremy took lots of hit from him and Blake Griffin.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Not even half as much criticiism as Jeremy took. Nick, you aren’t too tough.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I hope the FO hires an experienced assistant and takes away some of Scott’s power in game time decision. Byron dictates everything about the team right now. That’s not good for the future. Hiring a capable assistant poses a threat to Byron and have him shared the power in decision making makes good sense.
Hiring someone that can take over the team anytime from Byron Scott would make him uncomfortable enough to come to senses.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy is simply sick and not been able to play at his potential. I don’t think Scott really wants to ice him out. As you can see, once Jeremy left the game, the defense simply wasn’t there and the team collapsed immediately. Jeremy’s team defense at least kept the scores low. Byron needs all the help he can but he insists on breaking up Lin-Davis-Booozer connection. That’s unforgivable. The fans should throw everything they have at this dumb coach.

  • KL

Ok thanks. Just wondering if anyone noticed that Jeremy could play more but was benched.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • 311

    Highlights from jay910221

  • Kwok Wai Lai

PFV told us that Jeremy was tired at the bench.
Sinus infliction may take weeks to heal and Jeremy is not fully recovered but he’s getting better every day.
The good news is that he’s still helping the team by playing at lower energy level.
It’s just too bad Lin and some of his teammates got sick and injured.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS is a crook and he’s despicable with postgame remarks about his players.
This is an inept coach that Laker should get rid of ASAP.

  • KL

I have had acute and chronic sinus infections. They are very annoying and will linger on unless you get complete rest.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

There is always someone who can see through the lies of Byron Scott.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

A mess for years to come!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy used to make Austin Rivers look bad on the court.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

No FA will want to play for a coach who throws him under the bus whenever things go bad.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Are you kidding? There is someone who is worse than Byron Scott. This is unbelievable.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Rondo couldn’t help the might Mavericks. What makes anyone think that Ronda could help the sinking Laker. That’s so unreal.

I suggest to have some Lin q and a. Or best pic posted or any fun and enjoyable game and whoever wins will get a Lin shirt or any Lin item. To have fun while waiting for the free agency and the next season to start. It might open up a lot of clicks too for the site.

  • Acbc

Fade in “Hotel California”…. ” you can check out of the Jlin hotel, but you can never leave”

  • K. P. Chan

All things being equal, I like this haircut. He’w going back to his New York “roots”. Lol!

  • Res 683

Here’s hoping that with two additional days to recover, Lin will finish the season strong.

Scott post game, looking irritated and upset, says once again that “losing doesn’t sit well with me,” while letting a rookie run the show rather than Lin, and also benching Davis, the Lakers’ best defender with one of the top FG% in the NBA (.612, PER 20.19). Now that’s an Oscar-worthy performance. It’s also insulting to the intelligence of his audience, albeit many set a very low bar and have blissfully gone along with this charade.

  • K. P. Chan

The most hilarious part of all this is even Kobe finds Scott’s quotes hilarious.

  • CJSHYY

That’s what I thought bc everyone knows they let him score to get something to show for the teams or fans ….

  • K. P. Chan

Post an open letter to Scott to thank him for his running jokes throughout the season?

  • K. P. Chan

This will be another working off-season for Lin, making self-assessments & corrections: his floater and moving off ball, knowing now he may have to adapt to all systems and not necessarily playing PG. But he will figure it all out. It’s a new beginning.

  • K. P. Chan

I have seen Blake pulling Lin up from the floor in Houston while Lin’s ROX teammates just looked on. OK, maybe Blake was the closest in proximity. But still, Blake seemed to show good sportsmanship and seemed to be protective of Lin.

  • joyce ward
  • CJSHYY

The players looked so unbelievable depress & unhappy to me. What a torture to stay in this team. smh!

  • orLinaryjoe

Doesn’t mean a thing unfortunately. Their announcers took shots at the entire team, and Lin. The things they said about Lin.

  • sws94

Watching Lin play as SG he has the same problem he had in Houston. He doesn’t move off the ball enough to be an SG. Look at how Reddick runs around to get involved in the offense. Guys like him, Rick Hamilton when he played, Reggie Miller when he played, move around a lot. Lin tends to go to the corner and only sometimes look to get the ball. Lin is a penetrating point guard who can score when he chooses, he’s really not a shooting guard and if he’s going to play with another PG, they should share PG duties.

  • gasparthe2nd

Poor Jeremy Lin…. he’s got nothing of much importance to do <> Hopefully a new chapter shall present itself to my hero Mr. Lin (as well as to Young and Ed Davis) someplace out there of finer quality.

The Faker Lakers are bound for another season of Classic basketball featuring the one and only Kobe Bryant and his ol’ friend Rajon what’shisname; two indubitably venerable players with a penchant for antiquity; along with their predictable primeval coach stone faced Scotty. HEHEHEHEHEHehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe……..

  • gasparthe2nd

    Pretty girrrrl. go Lin Go!

  • CJSHYY
  • Riddick

I disagree. I think Lin can pretty much play any position well( w/i the
given physical limitations ), if given the go. So far, the coaches he’s
been cursed with has limited what he can and can’t do. Also, there is
no use running around like a chicken w/it’s head cut off, if there is a
slim to no chance of ever getting the ball from a no-pass pg/team mates.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

A guaranteed failure. Laker fans will have many more years of disappointment in watching slow and ineffective and boring basketball.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s a team game and where Lin moves is part of the play. You are framed to ISO ball. Lin creates spacing by moving away from the ball so that others can have more space to manipulate. Spacing is an important aspect of the game. If Lin is not the center of the offense, he moves away from the ball handler. That is common sense.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS has been trying to fool everyone that Ronnie Price is the head of the snake, Clarkson is the future All-star, Kobe Bryant still has a lot left in his tank etc. Byron Scott is just BS.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Just like playing Judo, falling on back is not necessarily dangerous if you break the fall properly

  • Kwok Wai Lai

On Ed Davis standpoint, Laker has already got lots of value from his year of service. For future service, Laker has to make a proper offer, not the veteran minimum salary that Davis is getting paid.

The organization is so sick that they have not been using their capspace properly. They used 20+ million on the worn out Kobe but was absolutely stingy paying Ed Davis. Byron Scott is out of his mind to think that he can have Davis cheap next year. It is unforgivable for Byron Scott to break up Davis-Lin connection to make Davis look bad.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

How are you going to fix the toxic in the locker-room when the toxic is the coach and their franchise player?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is hoping for Clarksanity, Brownsanity in order to save his career.
Well no body thinks Byron Scott comes close to MDA in coaching. He can never get anyone close to Linsanity. Just watch how he has been using Jeremy and you can conclude he has no potential in coaching ****sanity.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

JC don’t have many moves in his games and he is not explosive enough to make plays. He could score if he is not heavily defended but almost any NBA player can. The much hype of him comes from Byron Scott’s desperate wish to be saved by a star to be coming.

Jordon Clarkson, Jabrai Brown and Dwight Buycks represent straws for a drowning Byron Scott.

  • Acbc

Movements off ball is usually planned plays. If he winds up in the corner, it’s because that’s planned.

  • Sophie Paris

Missed the game so gonna enjoy this new video. *-*

Jlin is fine it’s the end of season he just has to enjoy playing for the last games.. then he’ll get a lot of time to rest and to see what happens in his free agency. 😉

Lakers Getting Desperate? Slash Ticket Prices To NBA Games

…According to sources in the Lakers box office, the ticket costs were slashed in a desperate effort since “no one is showing up for the games”….

…Lakers fans started to move out of Staples Center in the middle of the fourth quarter. Many were already out just a few minutes before the final quarter began. …

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Lin goes to another team and the Lakers’ lottery falls out of top 5 pick. Those would be so great news.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy is not cutting his hair for warmth to help fight against his sinus infection.

  • It’s quite clear after BScott benched him after 17 min when he started to get hot, Jeremy is no longer interested to answer questions about Clipper vs Lakers history or what it takes to be a contender.

As a ball player, he just needs to focus on the next game. Great answer!

6 more games to get out of this LA mess. Yeah!

  • If Lin goes to 76ers who might get Lakers Top 5 Pick, that would be the ultimate irony

Especially after Lin’s 29pts led the Lakers to beat 76ers in LA

  • Brent Yen

Top tier teams aside, I guess it is better that Lin goes to Jazz or 76ers.

  • as they should do.
I’ll be a Clippers fan if they game-plan against JC again and leave Lin alone next game

  • as long as 76ers stops tanking next season.
Idk if I can take rooting for another tanking team .. it’s so confusing

  • Brent Yen

From what I have seen. 76ers play pretty hard. They try to win.

  • Didn’t they play 2nd or 3rd stringers in hope of losing?
I thought I read it on 76ers board that way

  • Brent Yen

What I meant is, they lose because they suck as a team. But I see most players are willing to help the team win. In LAL, players just want to pad stats.

  • oh ok, BScott definitely likes to build a culture where it’s every man for himself with his constant shuffling. Then he attacks all players except Kobe and Price.

I never thought I’d say McHale is better than BScott as a coach. I must be losing it LOL

  • joyce ward

I alsosaw on twitter headlines from Lakers that Kobe vows Lakers will be better next season. Didn’t read the atricle, just got tickled at the Headlines.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Next season should get the #1 draft not just #4. Sucks why only got #4 this season…LOL!

  • Kobe might be speaking the truth.
He played 35 games this year. If he only plays 15-20 games next season, Lakers will be better next season LOL

  • CJSHYY

No, I want him to play the whole season bc Lin will not be there… I hope Lakers lose more games next season.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

LOL, we’ll get our last laugh for sure.

  • hm, should we throw in Kings too?

  • the problem is Kobe can only play the whole season if he shoots with left hand. I think his right arm could be done

  • Chipdip

    – Not to waste time, join a team that managed and play like a team

  • Brent Yen

Not sure about that yet, because we do not really know who will be their next coach.

  • you’re thinking Denver? Karl will be Kings coach

  • CJSHYY

If Lin is not w Lakers next season then I really want Kobe to play for Lakers next season. Kobe said he is fine?! FO will offer him extend contract for sure… hope they can get Rondo too.

  • Brent Yen

Lin might play more SG in that case…

  • I also hope Kobe will get his way to get Rondo.
It would emphasize how costly Kobe has brought down Lakers franchise by catering to his ego.

Sometimes the ownership has to his the low point before they realize what they’ve done.

  • Brent Yen

I think they already know. They just do not know what to do with Kobe yet. So they stalled and waited

  • CJSHYY

I really hate & blame Lin’s miserable life in Lakers half due to this weak & no guts FO. (Young suffer too…) If they can stand up for Lin then they will not be in so bad position today. They got what they asked for it. smh!

  • You’re thinking Karl might like Collison more as PG?
well, it’s true we don’t know how much Karl and Carlisle would use Lin

It makes me want Lin/MDA reunion more.. At least we know they need each other the most in the NBA

  • takemeback2reaganyears

…plus there’s time left to waste.

  • Brent Yen

exactly…the only 2 bad things about MDA is, he always lost in a politic battle, and he always overuse players.

  • CJSHYY

And yet they still don’t know how to end of this nightmare w Kobe but at the same time, they don’t have guts to cut him off. But always allowed him to do whatever he wants in this team even he is not playing now.

  • Brent Yen

Well…it is not really that easy. Kobe represents the old Buss. Young Buss are not ready to overturn that yet.

  • MDA does have his own shortcomings but after we witness how easily coaches marginalize Lin in the past 2-3 years, I bet Lin would take 35+min PT and be the true PG

And he can handle it as he knows how to play more safely by getting more fouls on the ground (not in the air) as @real_dsb:disqus and others have said.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

There’s a strong alliance behind BS starting with: Kobe, Magic, Worthy …..vs Mitch and still weak young owners.

  • Brent Yen

Of course, weighting all the pro and cons. MDA definitely is a top choice.

  • tin3ytina

aww.. that’s unfortunate.. didn’t know that.

  • deesee5

They are tanking right now. It might pay off so I won’t be surprised if the team got better. I’m sure they will make better moves offseason.

  • we should poll and tweet to MDA 🙂
pics of Lin/MDA/Davis on a fishing trip

  • JoeTeam

didn’t JC put in a FT to get into OT? Did they shut Lin down early on that game? My memory is bad for negative things ha ha.

  • that’s the 2nd game in Philly that JC won :]
So Lakers fans can blame it on BScott to let Lin and JC win both Philly games LOL

  • I don’t think this article by an AA does justice of portraying the unfair situation in LA in marginalizing Lin’s strength, especially the drive-by comment that Lin is probably less of a talent not than a rookie, JC.

There is no mention of the unfortunate situation with coaches especially Byron Scott that inexplicably separate Davis from Lin despite being difference-makers due to the tanking situation.

It leaves the impression that Jeremy Lin is only an average NBA player whose fans expect too much of his ability and NBA doesn’t understand him. It would be a better article if it expounds on how NBA misunderstands him as being “not tough”, not given fair chances, etc.

Jeremy Lin Doesn’t Want To Carry Your Flag by Andy Liu
    http://hardwoodparoxysm.com/2015/04/06/jeremy-lin-doesnt-want-to-carry-your-flag/

There is a general disconnect when it comes to Jeremy Lin, the rest of the NBA players, and his fans. These were widely discussed in Pablo Torre’s superb ESPN piece on Lin’s place in the league. As the only full Asian-American basketball player in the greatest league on Earth, he has had to deal with an odd sort of circumstances that’s both a part of the Asian culture mashing into the fraternalistic mindset of the NBA and expectations unseen.
    ..
As an Asian-American myself, Lin can do no wrong. I don’t care that he’s probably less of an NBA talent right now than a rookie, Jordan Clarkson. I didn’t care than Melo was a top-level power forward that ended Lin’s term as the primary ball-handler and creator. He’s not the highest IQ basketball player on the court — despite his Harvard credentials — but I’m going crazy whenever he blindly dribbles into the lane, throws a shot up, and somehow draws a foul. There are legions of us across the nation. It’s just that Lin was never so much about embracing that love than trying to forge ahead as a normal NBA player.

  • This is a DANGEROUS article

This line is especially not true
Jeremy Lin wanted to be better than who he was, what he is, and plausibly sustain the run of Linsanity.

Can any player WANT something so bad to redeem his bad GSW year to sustain the run of Linsanity breaking the records of most pts of any starter in 5-6 games?
Even Kobe himself disagreed with this assessment. You’ve got to have talent and skills but the GMs and scouts missed it.
To reduce it to “want something bad enough then create Linsanity” certainly dismisses Lin’s basketball skills.

The AA writer might be a JLin fan but he doesn’t give enough credit to JLin basketball skills

  • Brent Yen

    Garbage article.

  • it certainly is.. I see it as dangerous because it’s written from an angle of Asian-American/JLin fan who thinks of him as average.

It gave no credit to Lin’s basketball skills whatsoever.

  • joyce ward

This guy often posts on twitter and he has never like lin. so not even going trip

  • Brent Yen

It is just an Asian-American using Lin to show his pretended objectivity.

  • exactly

  • joyce ward

He is not a JLin fan. He has been bashing lin every since lin left NY. I actually thought he was black. I have a couple of twitter fights with him about lin.

  • he clearly isn’t Lin fan.

I see it as dangerous as he’s pretending to be a big Lin fan due to his AA link although deep down he knew Lin is an average player. No facts were cited. The goal is to tell many AAs, “Hey I understand, I’ll root for him but know that he’s average”

    I don’t like sneaky people

  • takemeback2reaganyears

LA media, Did anyone ask how long has BS studying Pat Riley and modeling coaching after him?

  • BobbyH

A Lot – 5 seconds, since he never talked to players.

  • he could have studied and modeled Riley’s losses more than the wins LOL

  • takemeback2reaganyears

There has to be a reason why his first and last name initials stood for something. smh

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Exactly, BS Ws is even higher than PRiley Ls (I think).

  • joyce ward

So I guess Steve Nash is chop meat..LOL

  • joyce ward

Now you feel my pain, when we have some posters do that over hear.:)

  • tin3ytina

I had a feeling people were gonna start using the Pablo article to lessen lin. Pablo article was great, but can also be misinterpreted to Lins weaknesses.

  • Marie Simon

My feeling is BScott is intentionally limiting Jlin’s PT to hurt is career, conniving with buddy KBryant. Since day 1 this has been their plan all along, evils with despicable minds. What goes around comes around, these peeps will get the dose of their own medicines and I can’t wait for Jlin to get out of this unpleasant environment.

  • Brent Yen

It is really ok…..Lin will let his play do the talking. I am 100% believe in that.

  • Brent Yen

Who knows, maybe BS is still under the nightmare of how Kidd fired him. So he take every chance to misuse Lin

  • hehe 🙂 … I feel you

I know some do it w/o realizing it due to uncertainty/negativity but some do with EVIL intention.
This writer is EVIL for sure

  • takemeback2reaganyears

It’s part of Hollywood and music industry do, lies and promotion.

  • Marie Simon

Then he is a psycho displacing his anger , frustrations, depressions whatever the case maybe to the most humble, quiet, hardworking, and professional player and of all the players, why Jlin? so much jealousy & insecurities. Maybe it isn’t race after all , who knows what’s brewing in their minds, but for all I care, Jlin will need to get out of this system ASAP.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

BS admitted he’s a bias when asked who MVP should be, so will Clarkson be superstar

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Not worth reading.
    I trust MDA’s evaluation of Jeremy’s talent.
MDA told us that Jeremy scored in the context of team basketball.
This guy doesn’t know anything about basketball.
When a PG is surrounded by opposition, the best he could do is to break out of it and not waited to be stripped away the ball. When you went towards the basket, you forced your opposition to stop you and make adjustments in split seconds. Of course there are fouls uncalled or there could be good plays from opposition which I consider is fifty to fifty chances. If not, Jeremy’s basketball would be stolen.

Jeremy’s speed and quickness is his most valuable asset. There is absolutely no wrong in his situation to draw foul or to shoot the basketball and have his teammate collected the rebound; this is also called Kobe Bryant’s assist, just a joke. For anything to be successful, Jeremy needs the support of teammates. Basketball should be a game of five on five and not a game of ISO. Jeremy did what he should do to get his teammates involved with his quickness and athleticism. You know Jeremy’s FG% is solid as a legit PG.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    Great gif
This is it for the season

    http://i.imgur.com/ks8mK8K.gif

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy currently scored 11.2 points per game; the 25th as a PG but every PG above him made more field goal attempts per game. His FG% is about 15th; His 3P% is about 14th. 28th in minutes played per game (almost the bottom of the list as starting PG)

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy improves his game every year. Of course JLin wants to be better than who he was, who he is at present.
Jeremy will be a better player and there is no doubt about it. What is wrong with that?

This Anderson Liu is biased in his presentation of Jeremy Lin by badmouthing Jeremy Lin in every possible way.

“Jeremy wanted to be better than who he was, what he is, and plausibly sustain the run of Linsanity.”
is obviously an effort trying to be derogatory towards Jeremy’s improvement in years.

To summarize, Jeremy Lin has improved since Linsanity and Anderson Liu doesn’t like it.

  • CJSHYY

I guess Nash didn’t want to give lesson anymore… He is no longer a Lakers anymore.

  • CJSHYY

So Lin is back to bench again?

  • Acbc

  • Acbc

He may not even be ASIAN. For all we know he says he is but do we really know?

  • GoodDayLA

Most Asian Americans in the media are like this guy and Kevin King or Jay Caspian. They are self haters and all too eager to diss Lin and/or Asians at large to fit in. Its like this, these stereotypical AA writers do this:

“yeah so I’m asian, but I get it. I’m like you guys, the mainstream. I’m not some stupid dumb fan from Asia who thinks Lin is Michael Jordan. I don’t even think Lin is very good. See I’m just like you guys. And so believe me when I say, Lin is a cultural phenomenon. But he mainly stinks at NBA basketball but has moments of glory when he plays against bad NBA teams with no other options except himself to turn to so he no longer thinks and just plays to the best of his limited abilities and gets lucky.

Lin is a flash in the pan, and because I am Asian, I can say it and admit it and justify it for everyone else because the AA writer has said it so it must be true. So you guys are not haters, Lin fans just don’t get it. Lin will you go away already so you can make my job as an AA writer easier? I’d rather cover Damian Lillard and I hate it when my editor asks me to write about you just because I am Asian too.”

  • Rick Johnson

Why because of the white jersey?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Laker stands as the 4th worst team in the league this season with 82.8% chance of keeping their lottery pick next season.
There is still a 17.2% chance of losing the pick to 76er. It’s not up to probability to decide on the future of the draft pick. It’s up to the Divine Intervention to decide on the pick.

82.8% has no guarantee that it has an edge over 17.2% in the future. If Laker losses this draft pick next season, that 82.8% chance means nothing. The least probable often happens. 17.2% chance implies a true threat of losing this draft pick next season. In short, Byron Scott has blew his chances of tanking by winning 2 games against 76ers and a game over Minnesota; two out of 3 in OT and only by 2 points.

Should Laker loss their lottery pick next season, these 3 wins against Minnesota and 76er would haunt him and I don’t think the FO is going to like it. The landslide win of 76er on home court with Lin scoring 29 points should be fine. But the two OT wins against Minnesota and 76er on the road would be just as hard to justify as the recent bust by Clippers in Staple Center. What I’m looking forward to is “Byron Scott, you’re fired.”

  • Kwok Wai Lai

You need some team owners to go along.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Again, Byron Scott has downgraded his baseline for measurement but Laker will still be out of the playoff.
Improvement means nothing if the team has sunk to the cellar and couldn’t stay above 50% winning as long as Kobe is playing for the Laker. Kobe only played less than 25% of the games in the last 2 seasons.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

No wonder Magic Johnson sold his shares of Laker and gave up on being the minority owner.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

How many losing seasons will this take before JC could be a true PG?
Byron Scott would be fired sooner than that.

  • hkli

Who will watch NCAA Championship? Please root for Wisconsin. # OnWisconsin #MakeEmBelieve

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Throughout the years, Laker has made many foolish trades.
The last one that I recall is Lakers traded Steve Blake to Warriors for MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore.

Steve Blake later signed with Portland with a contract of $4.2 million for 2 years and is currently an active bench player averaging 19 minutes per game there.
Bazemore is playing as a bench player for Atlanta averaging about 17 minutes per game and I’m sure he is happier there.
Brooks is playing for Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian League.

Laker can surely use Steve Blake now.

  • Maknusia

I dont think they are haters, they are more of a followers, who do not follow closely on whats happening in his is career, ROX, LAL. They most often do check box-score and media stories that Lin couldnt live up to the media hype. I wont call them haters.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Maybe just for the practice… Hate this team.

  • guest

Then why bother to write about Lin if these writers never follow Lin’s career and they only check box scores. Where’s their professionalism? They should just keep quiet if they don’t know much about Lin.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I’d be interested to see that scrimage, Clarkson as PG with “starters” Black / Kelly / Johnson / Brown against Lin and the bench Davis / Boozer / Hill / Buycks. Scott probably would screw the bench up by having Lin play SG and Buycks at PG though.

  • Grace Nsns

“I got a sense of a whole lot of them I wouldn’t want to be in a fox

  • Acbc

When an “ASIAN” writer say things against Lin with no use of facts or data, we have every right question his motives and legitimacy. BUT WE DO THAT ALL THE TIME ANYWAYS with all writers that write lazy trash pieces based upon party lines and facts. That’s notihng new. This site has provided us with arm loads of data to support Lin and to take down the negative naratives levelled agin at him by media bias. We are all well aware of the language of haters and we’ve identified ALL the tactics they’ve used to try to take Lin down. The only difference with this writer is that he claims to be Asian.

So what does Psalms mean that this writer is “dangerous”. The truth is that all Uncle Toms are used to sell a narative against ASIANs, by using another Asian to say what the haters want to say, they make it seem like it has legitimacy. It’s the same the way it was used to keep down the African Americans in the past.

We Lin fans are constantly reminded of the distortion that Lin fans are only Asians who don’t know anything about bball. When one of our own writes about how we are delusional, it empowers the rhetoric against Lin fans everywhere. These self proclaimed ASIAN reporters legitimize the haters view that Asian fans don’t know anything and are totally delusional because Lin is Asian.

While it is doubly annoying that one of our own has sold their soul to get clicks on line. I remind people that even in China, there are lin haters. That’s the fact of life. The only sure way to shut haters up is to ignore them and don’t feed them clicks. Blacklist them and let them get only clicks from other haters and not Lin fans.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    I have to agree.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott is only the coach for Kobe Bryant looking after Kobe’s interest. He’s not a functional Laker head coach.

This is a guy who once delayed the team plane to go play golf during a road trip in the ’09 season with New Orleans:

“… the team’s departure to Phoenix for Wednesday night’s game had been pushed back to accommodate the coach’s golf game. Scott played 18 holes with his last two allies in the organization, superstar Chris Paul and his brother/business manager, C.J. Paul.”

    He was fired shortly after.

“This wasn’t out of character for Scott. His players wanted a more sophisticated playbook, management wanted longer hours and more diligent preparation and, well, Byron Scott wanted to hit the links.”

  • yes, Brent said it best that it’s just an AA using Lin to show his pretend objectivity

    https://twitter.com/BrentYen/status/585206929787658240

What I don’t like is there were a lot of opinions being conveyed as truth to “brainwash” AAs to think he’ll support Lin based on skin color although “Lin is just average NBA player”. No facts were provided, no explanation were given to his point of NBA misunderstanding Lin. Even Kobe disproved his point that “Lin wanted it so bad after bad GSW year that it sustained Linsanity in NY” by saying only someone with talent and skill can do so GMs/scouts did a bad job.

Thanks for reminding us that haters will not hesitate to resort to dirty tactics in nonsense articles.

  • guest

Byron Scott praising CP3 is indirectly telling Lakers fans to switch to LA Clippers, in the midst of both teams fighting for dominant fanbase. This makes one questions BS’s loyalty to the Lakers.

  • Acbc

Sorry Pslams if I was too heavy handed in my opinions. Your site provides us all with ammo to shoot down these haters. It’s been a rough time lately for us Lin fans and our emotions are a bit frayed.

“Pretend objectivity” is a pretext to more subversive undercurrents of hate. By using another ASIAN to voice the “objective” voice, they pretend that because an Asian say it, it must have extra meaning. This clearly is not the case. What matters isn’t that the writer is ASIAN, white, gay or Martian. The only objectivity that matters is what’s written and if those words can be correlated to real data.

  • kittyhead

Nah, JC told reporters he just practiced with him yesterday.

  • LAJane

Everything everybody has said below, plus…it’s hard to avoid an actually sensible conclusion that BS just isn’t very smart. Smarter people with a controlling agenda are usually not quite so unaware of the appearance they are creating. It’s just shooting yourself in the foot to say something like this. A “whole lot of them” might end up “shooting me in the back”? One or two players can be written off perhaps as misfits or whiners, but when a whole lot of them dislike you so much that you imagine they would like to do you harm…it really does make you look bad.

Truthfully, if Rondo accepts this “friendly fire” killing ground, it has to mean he’s losing confidence in himself and his NBA future. He’s willing to imagine a safe place as Robin to Kobe’s Batman now that Dallas hasn’t worked out so well and the shine is dulling on his fame.

  • TTNN

shooting him in the back was pretty strong word, and he feels a whole lot of them would do that is amazing. Not sure whether he was proud of it or what, it is just stupid that he would even admit that, the locker room got to be horrible when a whole of them want to shoot him in the back. lol

  • LAJane

Just had this thought…sometimes people accuse others of the emotions they can’t admit are really their own. It’s quite possible that it’s really Scott who would like to shoot a whole lot of other people in the back.

  • TTNN

ha, we feel the same way.

  • TTNN

Just saw this activity seemed only Kobe & Lin show up for Lakers?! I wonder two of them talked to each other or not? LOL!

  • tin3ytina

    whole team showed up

  • tin3ytina

The squad arrives at the Lakers Celebrity Golf Invitational & Dinner Presented by MIR Audio & Video. pic.twitter.com/u190eonzzl— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) April 7, 2015

  • CJSHYY

Thanks. I thought only two of them? LOL!

  • tin3ytina

hahah they’re probably the only 2 getting all the photos.. no one else on this team is very important.

  • tin3ytina

not to mention. that would’ve been pretty awkward.

  • TTNN

I think what Brent means is that some Asian would purposely undermine JLin a little bit to show that they are objective, just because they are Asian. I have seen that a lot, and I really hated it.

  • Acbc

Two months ago, I dreamed that MDA and Lin reunited in Denver. Let’s hope it comes true.

  • CJSHYY

Saw the Yim only post Lin & Kobe picture in his tweet… LOL!

  • HeroBallJLIN

He’s wearing Houston Rockets gear. Maybe he made decision to go back to Houston.

  • TTNN
  • He’s a Restricted FA in 2016 so he can’t go anywhere unless Lakers trade him.
It could be an old picture in HOU.

Perhaps it’s just coincidence. Locker room definitely is fractured based on BScott’s comment though

  • tin3ytina

just assumed. because the only photos that were available on twitter seems to be kobe and lin according to cjshyy. i didn’t look into who did what with the radio about this event. don’t even know what this event is for honestly

  • tin3ytina

also, i kinda meant it as a joke. sorry you didn’t catch it

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL Be patience my dear:-) I know it’s very hard as we still have 84 days to look forward to:-)

  • CJSHYY

Don’t know M&M ESPN also report about this event? Looks like Lin is on the way out of Lakers bc FO seems to try hard to promote JC. I guess maybe bc he just like Davis doesn’t want to sign w Lakers but choice to test the market.

  • yes, although it’s hard to prove the Asian factor, the best way is still to break down the poorly researched and written article. For now, I would decline to give it airtime by even writing a post on the site.

  • TTNN

No, he is not RFA, he has non-guarantee contract next year with Lakers. So he can not go out and look for other teams unless Lakers waive him.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

No worries. It’s better that way! Hopefully I only have to endure another 9 days of this org:-)

  • ah thanks. you’re correct. I see 2015 is non-guaranteed now
    http://www.spotrac.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/tarik-black/

so he could hear that Lakers won’t pick up 2015, which is weird since Black has some strong plays and could be a trade asset. Anyway, we’ll probably find out soon

  • TTNN

    http://espn.go.com/espnradio/losangeles/play?id=12633077

it was pretty fun to listen to Max and Marcellus, and they were making fun of Byron interview him.

  • CJSHYY

I just want Lakers to offer Lin’s contract but then Lin turned it down. Somehow I got the feeling maybe Lin didn’t want to talk about contract w Lakers now so they sort of make him looks bad even he is back to starting lineup. smh!

Really have enough w this team. 9 days it’s too long now. LOL!

  • tin3ytina

i like their talk show. they don’t sugarcoat their words. also very funny

  • TTNN

Lakers don’t need to do anything, they could just keep him until they need his spot on the team. If they don’t need his spot, he was pretty cheap and serviceable.

  • John Lee
  • CJSHYY

Do you think the whole article mention or tried to say about Lin?

  • Keith

Don’t forget about this event if you live in Los Angeles

Are you ready? #Linsanity is coming to #LincolnHeights this Saturday! Are you ready for #JeremyLin (@JLin7)? pic.twitter.com/p7SucrL7an— WSS (@ShopWSS) April 7, 2015

  • Grace Nsns

no idea. 16 players on book, only 10 are active now.

  • tin3ytina

    wow.. listening now..
Max: basically says most of lakers are not nba players, but luckily lakers gave them a job.
then, soon after, invites ryan kelly for interview.
    dang. that’s a burn.

  • CJSHYY

What? Not NBA Players? So low? What did Kelly say?

  • Lin after today’s practice.

Lin’s hair is probably the longest in his NBA career.

    https://twitter.com/penny10654/status/585308022697660416

  • tin3ytina

kelly sat down to talk after byron. so, i don’t know if kelly heard him say that. but it’s funny they interview kelly after pretty much calling this whole roster trash (other than ed and JC)

  • bolero
  • Grace Nsns

laker fans the #5 best fans, lol

  • Grace Nsns

Probably he’s saving hair for his next video clip.

  • CJSHYY

What about Lin? What did they say about him?

  • tin3ytina

    zip. nothing. not a mention

  • Grace Nsns

== not in the ‘NBA players’ category, ^_^

  • Acbc

Where suspicion arises, the crime has already been committed in the back of that persons’s mind.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I’ve got from the interviews JLin did during and after ASG that he didn’t want to think about FA until season was over. His focus was on the season. He didn’t want to be distracted from FA.

  • Brent Yen

Only six game. I bet he get higher ppg as back up.

  • TTNN

oh, they said that lots of time before. Give them credit, they did said Lin is NBA player, (but that’s before Lin got sick, they did not talk about Lin after Lin was sick.) but half of the players would not get a job if there is no Lakers.

I love that they kind of say things straight as it is, they say in the face to Byron that Young was playing on a bad team last year and was the best player, and he is playing in a team that is still not good this year, but could not even get on the court (lol, that’s pretty cool to say that in the face of Byron.)

  • TTNN

They are not really talking about Lin recently. There is nothing to talk about. Plenty of praises goes to JC, and Lin is not even playing PG now.

  • CJSHYY

Oh! I like the Young couldn’t play part…. LOL! What did BS say?

  • tin3ytina

the burn is on ryan kelly. basically calling him trash, then “hi, come sit down for your interview!” hahahaha

  • Brent Yen

    LOL….not even close

  • CJSHYY

I think it’s PR time for JC to make it up for his lousy game vs CP3.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Hahaha

  • steven ko

he needs to dye the front blond so he can look like an Asian surfer dude in So Cal!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Byron Scott still BS.
Jeremy Lin is always the one to be exploited. Clearly Jeremy-Davis connection is spectacular but Byron Scott has deliberately broken them up. When Davis-Boozer-Lin played well together, Byron Scott did not allow them to play together. Now you tell me that is coincidence.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott has not used Nick Young properly on the court. It’s not about effort. Almost all NBA player plays hard on the court. It’s the role the player is given and the support he has that distinguishes the player’s achievement.

The roles given to Jeremy Lin has never been consistent and he manages to do well. Lin has improved greatly in his defense skills which was his weakness. Byron Scott in order to make Lin look bad has played on Lin’s weaknesses for a long time and that is helping Jeremy to become a complete player. It’s quite beyond Byron Scott’s expectation.

Byron has tried so hard to set up JC to promote ticket sales but one thing for sure is JC could never overtake Jeremy’s popularity. JC did not have the kind of experience of being dissed because of being an Asian American. JC looks perfectly like a normal American, a typical black NBA player. Clarksanity would never happen.

Jeremy is an asset of NBA that only coaches like McHale and Byron have deliberately trashed for their hidden agenda. His struggles and his hardship touches me and many others around the world. Jeremy is a global icon that JC could never be. It is unthinkable that there are people like Byron who wants to hurt Jeremy.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

His contract next season is $845,059 unguaranteed but his size and quickness is invaluable to many NBA teams. Houston did want to keep him but they have to make room for Josh Smith and had to give him up. Morey does have the competence to pick up good young players and pay them cheap.

His third year would be paid $1,180,431 in the 2016-2017 season but he would be an RFA then. Tarik Black could be paid more than $1.28m if more teams are interested in having him.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

This team is better than the record shows. They did defeat the GS once without Kobe Bryant. They did defeat Atlanta with Kobe Bryant.

From then on, Byron Scott changed the lineup several times before team chemistry was developed. There are players who could contribute to a better record. Carlos Boozer, Jordon Hill, Ed Davis, Jeremy Lin, Nick Young and Wesley Johnson are legit NBA players that can compete. Ellington, Price, Kelly, Clarkson, Sacre, Black are legit backups for the team. It’s the coach who had messed up to create such a pathetic loss records.

I don’t like the excuses of relieving Byron Scott’s responsibility of a head coach. This team could have won at least 30 to 40 games. It’s Byron’s fault that the team is underachieving.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron started it and he is sick afraid of the retaliation now

  • K. P. Chan

I had exactly the same reaction. I don’t know if Scott wants to shoot his players in the back or not, but it’s often true that a person tends to project his/her own mentality onto others.

I for one believe that Scott is a small-minded, vindictive person, or at best a hypocrite. He just presumes others think the same way he does. His players are better than that, and should be insulted by this comment, and be glad when they leave.

  • Acbc

In a twisted way, Byron Scott’s tanking has help to expose Mchale’s mistreatment of Lin as well. Not that anyone would actually care to see it, but taking the ball out of Lin’s hand to give it to Beverly, Price and a raw rookie is but only one of the ways these coaches have devalued Lin for their own political agenda.

Someone posted how one of LIN’S weaknesses is that he doesn’t run around enough to free himself off ball, that it was carried on since Houston. This is yet another “coolaide”comment from hater’s narative that we assume to be truthful. No offence runs plays that has players run around free lance like a bunch of 10 year olds. That just doesn’t happen. An offensive play is designed to set certain people free for shots. The a Rox ran plays for everyone else and Lin was the 5 th option for last second bailouts. Scott has been “starting” Lin but using the MCHALE system to make Lin useless on court for his tanking.

  • 7iger

You mean those Asian purposely undermine JLin for them to look not too Asian?

  • 7iger

When a whole lot of a small group of just 15 people wanted to stab you
in the back it said a lot about you. BS is not just bad he is also dumb
(not that we didn’t know) to say it out loud too.

  • 7iger

If I am the FO I will fire BS for this lone comment.

  • joyce ward

Doesn’t Scott sound a lot like Brain Shaw before he got fired from Denver. Shaw was saying things like the team was tanking on hiim purposely. Scott’s remarks about some team members shotting him the back, kind sounds like the same thing..and the plot thickens.

  • Brent Yen

    Thank you sir!

  • Brent Yen

I have thought the same thing. But I feel in a sense, LAL FO is more delusional than DEN’s.

  • Brent Yen

This also explains why Lin starts to shoot early for the past few games.

  • Filler-up

Be careful what you ask for , as you might end up getting it. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers alumni who wanted BS as coach.

  • Brent Yen

I totally wish for them getting BS as coach, and Rondo as PG.

  • joyce ward
  • Brent Yen

I am not completely sure, but I think he hates MEM too. He barely played meaningful minutes.

  • joyce ward

You are probably right, but the statements that Scott mad yesterday about some of the team members wanting to shoot in the back didn’t come out of thin air.Soemthing must have happened behind the scenes to set him off.LOL

  • Brent Yen

Maybe someone blamed him and he get defensive? lol

  • CJSHYY

Multi-years contract? If so then why signed w Lakers for 1M?!

  • takemeback2reaganyears

I think he wanted to play and eventually starter.

  • TTNN

that’s from Zach Lowe’s today’s column, and he has a Ed Davis section. Also a little bit about Hill and Scott’s play calling. A nice read.

    http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-nba-groupon-games-which-players-are-the-next-free-agent-steals/

  • TTNN

Lakers promised him he will have lots of play time, he will never get it in MEM.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

That’s before the the arrival of BS. lol

  • PPP

Mitch has a tough time to put foxes in BS foxhole other than some scrubs coming for 1 year min contract.

BS can show off his tanking technic for next season again for the top 3 pick. Hes a genius. No doubt.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I guess so but I don’t think he will get it w Lakers bc Randle is coming back next season. Randle will start I think.

  • JW

With the way he had played, he should easily find another team willing to give him some decent cash and playing time.

LAL is still rebuilding next year, so they want cheap young players which they have now with JC, Randle, Tarik(replacing Ed).

  • Maknusia

I wont be surprised if the tanking continues next season as well..sigh….

  • Brent Yen

Once Kobe can not help the team win, same thing will just happen again

  • JW

With LAL having lost so many games this year, he can easily turn around the team by winning more than this year which won’t be hard to do.

  • TTNN

yeah, at that time, D-Mo wanted to come to Lakers too. As everyone knows there is no big in Lakers. Glad D-Mo was not here, he will never got play time over Kelly. BS even play Kelly at 5.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Lakers will continue to tank for next season. I think FO will use cheap players for tanking purpose bc it’ll not cost them too much & they can prepare for 2016 FA.

  • JW

Haven’t followed D-Mo, but the past weekend’s game, sounded like he was contributing quite a bit before he got injured.

  • CJSHYY
  • CJSHYY

This just tell you whatever GM promised you before you signed the contract … just can’t count on it. smh!

  • JW

who would want to follow a leader that doesn’t give any respect to the veterans. Not giving them the heads up when he wants to bench them. They have to hear from the media or some other resource.

Now the season is pretty much over and the team is building the youth, why would any of these players, who are seeking new contract, risk their future by getting injured with the coach’s idiotic crazy practice training.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

D-mo like Lin a lot and wanted to leave houston too.

  • joyce ward

The one thing that I object about this article is that the narrative seems to be that JC is the only thing worth watching on the Lakers. No mention of Lin whatsoever…smh

  • Brent Yen

That is what Zach Lowe does…lol

  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward
  • Maknusia

    Eight more days…Six more games!…counting

  • CJSHYY

    FO agrees?

  • Maknusia

Yeah…I do see there are couple of articles mentioning the same…

Jeremy Lin to Dallas Mavericks, Rajon Rondo to LA Lakers During the Offseason? We will See!

    http://masterherald.com/jeremy-lin-to-dallas-mavericks-rajon-rondo-to-la-lakers-during-the-offseason/14151/

  • Acbc

Even though the Lakers is a mega money business, it’s essentially a family operated business. In general only 1 in 4 family operated businesses ever make it though a seocnd year. Obviously, the success of the Lakers is to be envied by all accounts.

One of the biggest hurdles for family businesses is succession. Only 30% survive the first generational change of management. By the time it reaches the forth generation, it is down to 3% chance of survival. Statistically the chances for Jim and Jeanie Buss to survive the multiple problems of succession is quite low. Often, it is because of the very large shadow of the founding father of the business. The fact the kids are saddled with KOBE is because of Dr. Buss. This is typical of the problems of family business succession. What was successful in the past can never be recreated in the present. By locking the kids into the past, Dr Buss has left a legacy he built upon a system for the 80s, thereby making it impossible for the kids to adjust to modern times.

This is a hard lesson to learn for all family businesses. In athleteics, teams that has the lead will play it safe and will not dare to change a winning formula. This is why it’s especially important for our kids to learn how to compete. Respect for a father or parent can influence bad decision making for the health of a business. Playing safe with what has worked in the past is a recipe for failure. In sports or in business, if you stand still, get ready to be run over.

Jeremy Lin — Would He Shoot Byron Scott In the Back?
    http://2paragraphs.com/2015/04/jeremy-lin-would-he-shoot-byron-scott-in-the-back/

  • 1mtoldman

he wouldn’t shoot anybody in the back; now raylan givens….thats another story:
bad guy: “you shot me in the back”
raylan: “if you wanted me to shoot you in the front you should have been running towards me”.

  • 1mtoldman

    lather, rinse, repeat.

  • 1mtoldman

he’s been a top 100 nba player this year; esp with howard out most of the time has really helped me to be showcased; dont know what his contract situation is but he has established himself as legit nba talent.

  • TTNN

really depends on which game randomly comes up for Zach to look.

  • 1mtoldman

give him a head with hair/long beautiful hair.

Pathetic New York Knicks Drawing Pathetic Ratings for MSG

It was only a few years ago when Linsanity took New York by storm, captivated by a Cinderella story, New York Knicks’ games were must-watch television. Ratings were through the roof as per Michael O’ Connell of the Hollywood Reporter

New York’s obsession with first year Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin is good business for MSG Network.

The Knicks took their sixth straight win on Tuesday night. And in edging out the Toronto Raptors, they also brought in MSG its highest-rated Knicks game since Carmelo Anthony moved over from the Denver Nuggets last February. The game peaked at a 7.84 rating among households, with 579,204 households, and finishing with a 4.66 rating and 344,272 households. At its highest, the game brought in 843,276 total viewers.

Those numbers ranging from 350,000 to 840,000 seems unfathomable to achieve now that it is at a laughable 14,000. The 2011-2012 New York Knicks season was one of the most viewed seasons in decades as per Amanda Kondolojy of TV by the Numbers.

MSG’s telecasts of the New York Knicks 2011-12 regular season games averaged a 3.30 Nielsen household rating, making it the highest-rated regular season ever on MSG, dating back to the start of the 1988-89 NBA season when he network started tracking household ratings.

    http://dailyknicks.com/2015/04/07/pathetic-new-york-knicks-drawing-pathetic-ratings-for-msg/

  • TTNN

    yeah, good news!

  • OpenTruth

Your analysis is not applicable here. The Lakers isn’t a typical family run business so your stats don’t apply. The Lakers like other sports teams in big cities have a geographic monopoly. Even if the Buss’s screw up, they are going to survive just fine. Look at Dolan. No matter how much he screwed up for the past decades, the Knicks have the highest sales out of all teams. Fans have no where to go.

  • TTNN

The information was disclosed by Mark Followil, an announcer and a trusted source in the Dallas Mavericks community on April 1 citing that Mark Cubancalled him very early in the morning to tell him that he (Cuban) is interested in bringing Jeremy Lin to the Mavs next season. But the report has yet to be confirmed by Mark Cuban though.

    April 1!!!!!

  • takemeback2reaganyears

In March, Mavs are 8W-9L and 1W-4L in their last 5 games. This team will not get past first round if they’re clinched.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Using the April fool to spread a very legit rumor.

  • joyce ward

Was this an April Fools joke?

  • joyce ward

Also, Nathan on twitter said that Cuban made him take the tweet down.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

For concern of breaking league rule about practice free agency. Also with tweet like that showed they don’t like Rondo very much.

  • joyce ward

Yep. I think Amare,Parson’s and Tyson Chandler may have been pushing hard for lin to come there. Also I hope he will look at Davis also because Tyson Chandler needs a backup.

  • CJSHYY

I thought it was a April Fools Joke but in Mav fan forum that do have lots of fans wanted Lin to Mav after that ESPN article.

  • Brent Yen

    We need to celebrate this….lol

  • oh man, I can’t stand that look LOL

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Those 3 are Lin’s big supporters and they know Lin always looks for them to score. Plus with Dirk’s shooting skill, Lin will probably get 6 shooting attempts per game because he might have 12 plus assist per game.

Amar and Tyson are king of PnR.

  • hopefully it’s titled “Getting Hairy in LA” :]

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Rondo’s PER is 11.8 with the Mavs.

  • yup, Morey definitely can draft using the math but his chemistry with people is not very good

  • joyce ward
  • JW

Is KB announcing he’s retiring? — Kobe: “The team next year is going to be much better than the product that you currently see out there on the floor.” /jk

    https://twitter.com/SerenaWinters/status/585508100905508864

And w/ this kind of comment, why would any of the players that probably is leaving give any more effort.

  • joyce ward
  • JW

Didn’t realize that’s Canaan. He gained a lot of weight. Probably why he got foot injury.

  • CJSHYY

KB wants to get another contract so don’t think he will retired anytime soon.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Lin needs coach like that if not MDA.

  • JW

Yea, there’s no way he’s walking away from that $25 mil.

  • Grace Nsns

which Mav fan forum, name please?

  • hehe … if it floats your boat lol

  • 1mtoldman

in first roughly 30 games w/o rondo dallas was basically winning two thirds of their games; in 40+ games w/ rondo have been basically a 500. team.

  • LAJane

Yikes. But Mr. Clueless left himself wide open for a lot more of the same 🙂 This was such a fabulously awful quote that it has a good chance of going down in history – “shot in the back”, “foxhole”, smh. A new meme is born…

  • 1mtoldman

more opportunity for ish smith. who btw has been putting up almost a.s. #s in his last six games (17/6) awa getting the endorsement of the only credible player the 6ers have healthy remaining untraded for dp’s: nerlens noel (who if he is still a rookie arguably should be roy and not wiggins). –tho in the hinkie system he’ll (noel) probably be sent out for more dp’s if he continues to perform.

it appears hinkies goal (the true tank general) is to collect all the dp’s in the world. (appears he has 7 for this coming draft).

  • Game Thread 77 vs Clippers is now open!

This poll is open for public.

    http://www.jlinportal.com/g77-lal-lac-game-threadnew-coachteam-poll/

Only 6 games are left before Jeremy can focus on his summer Free Agency!

Despite not fully recovering from URI, losing some weight, it’s good to see Jeremy had fun when playing on court. He just liked to play and will continue to give his best on court. Let’s hope he can finish strong

Let’s start a new Coach and Team Poll to see where fans want to see JLin go next season

Continue to give your best, Jeremy!

  • It’s too bad Kobe didn’t realize that the main Lakers product is past the expiration date :]

  • 1mtoldman

re ish smith below; correcting a previous error i made in reading a chart/ smith was not with toronto multiple times however he has changed teams 9 times in 5 years; prior to this march a career 10 mpg game 2 point per game player.

unleashed with the draft pick crazed hinkie’s his only competition the below referenced ex rocket 4th stringer canaan; since mar. 1 has put up numbers roughly comparable to the suddenly beloved jc for the lakers.

still no one as far as i know is talking about ish as the “future”.

just shows to go you; anyone can put up big numbers given free rein in losing with a tanking team.

  • sws94

I’d like to see Lin do well without MDA.
