G75 POR @LAL Game Thread

Today is a Good Friday for Christians around the world. Will it inspire Jeremy to play well tonight against POR?

Perhaps it might give Jeremy extra motivation to give a little gift for his Savior!

Let’s hope Jeremy is back to 100% and gets back his explosiveness after recovering for Upper Respiratory Infection (UFI)!

Let’s go, Jeremy!

Guess JLin's stats in Game 76 vs LAC
Guess Lakers record in the last 9 games (Pelicans, Blazers, Clippers, Clippers, Nuggets, Wolves, Mavs, Kings, Kings)?

  • Dan Cohen

  • Dan Cohen

    7th!

  • tin3ytina

ryan kelly on aldridge? we in trouble, deep trouble..

  • Dan Cohen

    nada macha.

  • Dan Cohen

    no matchie

  • Brent Yen

No lal are in big trouble, we are not. Lol

  • tin3ytina

    lap?

  • 1mtoldman

now edited for your viewing comprehension

  • 1mtoldman

iow portland has the superior performer at 4 of 5 positions. nada macha indeed.

  • tin3ytina

lol oh okay. yeah, we are still in big trouble. don’t want blowout again. so painful!

  • CJSHYY

What do you guys think why BS moves Lin to be SG?

  • Linja

To take the ball out of his hand.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I think that’s part of the reason also can make JC has more beautiful stats in score & AS.

  • JJ Hui

Because if Lin is PG, Linsanity might happen and that embarass KB! BS wants to tank so he put no Lin/Davis and put the weak players around Lin!

  • Marie Simon

Hope Jeremy will shoot the lights out tonight for his own sake only.

  • tin3ytina

first, BS openly stated that he will put lin back in the starting lineup. so, he was obligated to. then, he realized that JC was doing well as PG, so didn’t want to put JC on the bench. only option to keep fans from having an uproar is to put JLin at SG… then, no one can blame BS for not keeping his word, while he gets to keep developing JC.
BS is sly. that’s why i say, can’t tell if he’s actually smart or really dumb.

  • 1mtoldman

either way it works for tanking purposes.

  • tin3ytina

    BS = master tanker

  • Spot

The Nuggets discussed Lawson deals at the deadline, and sources at the time said Denver wanted multiple first-round picks.

  • Spot

So maybe could be true a Lin/D’Antoni reunion in Denver…

  • BScott sees Clarkson as the future PG so Lin is only there to mentor him.
This is actually good since there won’t be any chance Lin will stay in BS system as non-PG

  • tin3ytina

    praying!!!

  • Spot

    Oh definitely!

  • Spot

To decrease Jeremy’s numbers. It’s as simple as that

  • sport

This feels like a playoff rematch for JLin. See if he can score 20+ against Blazers again.

  • tin3ytina

if that were really true, he’s such a horrible human being.

  • Spot

See if he can play 20+ minutes tonight!

  • CJSHYY

I doubt Lin will get the ball that much… I just hope he can keep healthy to the end of the season. Can’t believe Ellington was end of season?!

  • if Denver got MDA first then Lawson is on the trading block then we’re onto somewhere :]
The thing is Lawson might fit into MDA system too so we’ll have to see how it plays out.

MDA in Magic and weaker Eastern conference would be better but no rumors yet that Magic is interested in MDA.

  • CJSHYY

    Really? trade dateline?

  • pandaboy99

So Ellington is out for the year. Lakers are running out of players to play instead of Lin.

  • I think Lin should play his role as the designated SG and just shoot 24 times LOL

If asked why, Lin can say, “With 8 games left, I want to remember my injured teammate Kobe as ex-#8 and play his game like only he knows how by shooting #24 times!” ;D

  • tin3ytina

    LOLLLL! that’s hilarious!

  • You see .. Kobe will be happy and Lin can have EPIC performance in Lakers history :]
    Win-win!

  • 1mtoldman

earlier reports indicated they had already brought up another pg from defenders but then havne’t seen anything lately; only that they intending to apply for a hardship exemption and then bring up another unknown player.

but again there were multiple reports yesterday that i forget name but a defenders pg had already by signed to 10 day and then later the exemption story. so….dont know exactly where its at now.

  • tin3ytina

with a secret implication that kobe’s a chucker. i love it

  • 1mtoldman

“A little less than two weeks remain in the Lakers’ 2014-15 season, and they still are making changes to their fledgling roster.

Lakers coach Byron Scott said they are nearing a deal with an unnamed player from the Development League amid season-ending and long-term injuries. That includes Kobe Bryant (right shoulder), Steve Nash (back), Julius Randle (right leg), Xavier Henry (left Achilles tendon), Ronnie Price (right elbow), Nick Young (left knee) and Wayne Ellington (right shoulder). Because of that, the Lakers asked the NBA for a hardship exception. That tool gives the Lakers’ flexibility to increase their roster size to 16 since four players are out with injury.

Assuming the Lakers sign the player, Scott said there is a “possibility” he will suit up when the Lakers (20-54) host the Portland Trail Blazers (48-26) on Friday at Staples Center. But Scott said it seems more likely the player will first play in Sunday’s designated home game against the Clippers at Staples Center so he can practice in five-on-five drills on Saturday.”

  • hehehe .. #EvilBrentLaugh

  • 1mtoldman

if anybody in la. and wants to say they went to a game where lin played and do it on the cheap; 500 tickets available on stub hub “from $30”–and indication in the “stub hub index” of the relative “popularity” of lakers seats these days.

  • cali7

Wasn’t Jared Jeffries a scout for the nuggets? Maybe not anymore.

  • GoodDayLA

not worth it to watch Lin score 10 in 20 minutes.

  • GoodDayLA

Ellington was very selfish once Kobe went out. Desperate to stick in NBA. Kinda like karma he got hurt, but I also understand if I were him. He looked off Jlin one time too many for my liking.

  • GoodDayLA

they dont even need extra players. They can just run Wes Johnson at PG. I think the Lakers are just trying not to waive the white flag they are tanking.

  • If Lin recovers from URI and gets his explosiveness back, I expect him to score more than 10 and have a good-to-great normal game

  • GoodDayLA

if that happens BS will limit Lin’s minutes or put Hill & Sacre & Boozer to pair with Lin. Lakers cannot afford more wins.

  • GoodDayLA

I wish it was summer already so Jeremy could go to free agency. If the kid picks the totally wrong team for himself, no mas.

  • Briiick

Good deal ! Though these tickets should have been free without Lin.

  • that’s why I expect Blazers to have 6-10pt lead so Lin can get a lot of PT to excite the crowd but still lose closely to a good team like Blazers.

That seemed to be the MO at Staples Center. I was surprised when Lin got inserted back with 4 min left last game while Clarkson only needed 3rebs for Triple-Double.

IMO there’s marketing aspect of playing Lin more at Staples Center. Make it exciting but don’t put #LinDavis so they won’t win. Just a gut feeling

  • All I wish is to see Lin, Davis and MDA have a fishing trip to make a pact.
Announce to any PnR teams that they’re in 1 package ready for any bids in July

  • GoodDayLA

I think the Laker front office is in shambles. The sooner Lin escapes the better. I am so dissapointed with Byron Scott as a coach. I now know how bad he is as a coach. He cannot coach and requires elite talent to just be competitive.

Most NBA coaches are lazy and unimaginative so they want a guy who is so good you can roll out the ball and just play (like Harden).

Curry was never elite like now until he got a good coach who put in sets that weaponize the talent Curry had. The same goes for Lin.

Lin is honestly a very marginal 1 on 1 player and his handles are average at best.

But Lin is probably the best or close to the best pick and roll player. Lin is also possibly the best or close to the best guard with the quickest first step with or without a pick and roll.

Lin is unique in that he has many flaws and shortcomings both physical, skill wise, and mental.

But his gift of being able to drive is probably the #1 NBA talent of all. And that talent is worth it’s weight in gold.

A coach with some skill can easily exploit Lin’s top shelf talent and hide Lin’s weaknesses.

But all bad coaches like Scott can do is cry that Lin is so lacking in other areas and that they cannot just roll out the ball with Lin and watch him dominate inefficiently while filling the stat box.

  • GoodDayLA

is Lin that lucky? We will see

  • BScott is actually more disappointing than what I thought he was going to be in early season, but the Kobe factor is not to be underestimated. When he had JKidd and CP3, he allowed them to roam free like he experimented with LinDavis a few times. I believe if winning is #1, he would let LinDavis operate like any normal coach would.

This LA/Kobe/tanking situation is such a mess that no All-Stars wanted to play with Kobe, esp. after they saw how Kobe treated Dwight and Lin.

I’m not worried about Lin. Every year he has shown such leaps in improvement. He didn’t get bad ball-handling TOs like he did in NY. 3s are reliable 37% now. Pull-up midrange Js have been demonstrated post ASB.

He just needs a coach who believes in him. And that might be the toughest part for us to wait and see until July 2015. I take consolation in knowing many opposing coaches complimented him after ASB. They knew his PnR values if he’s allowed to operate.

Only the smartest GM/coach/owner deserve Lin for the next 2-3 years Who wants to have exciting team with PnR highlights and make a boatload of money?

  • Based on his unlikeliest path from HS-college-NBA as the only Asian-American, I’d say he’s not lucky.
    He’s simply blessed

But yes, we all get to wait and see the next chapter in Lin’s journey :]
Isn’t this better than any Hollywood movies?

  • GoodDayLA

I still follow because despite what everyone thinks, I actually believe it too

  • Similar to Paul, I want to wish Happy Passover and solemn Good Friday for any Lin fans who celebrate and observe them.
May the weekend be blessings to you and your loved ones. And may JLin start the weekend with memorable game for all of us!

  • GoodDayLA

If Lin actually did complain & requested trade/buyout, and then the Lakers made changes, and then Lin basically dominated those games before Scott asked Lin to reign it in by telling him not to do Pick n Roll as much, then I hope the NBA did take notice.

If true, I assume Lin’s agent is making this clear to all potential suitors, that Lin was handcuffed, and basically once unchained by discreet request to be bought out/traded, Lin then dominated.

But my fear, like yours, is that Lin’s dominance is not enough, still not enough for NBA teams to take the plunge.

Lin could do the Sixer game performance 10 games in a row, and it would not be enough, because Lin didn’t win the NBA title in those 10 games.

We will see. Your points are same as mine, we just all have to wait.

  • Rick Johnson

Hope Davis will get to play. Hill just kills JLin’s game.

  • Yascar

Not bad. I hope he keeps it above 16 for the rest of the season.

  • nodomo

HAHAHA – Lakers slash ticket prices for remaining games because no one is going to the games

    http://www.tmz.com/2015/04/03/lakers-tickets-ticket-prices-plunge/?adid=hero4

  • Here’s my #GoodFriday message to JLin7’s tweet.
May the Good Force be with him and Lin fans who observe it today

    https://twitter.com/JLinPortal/status/584082099214295040

  • If possible, I want PER 17 for #17
Not too much to ask, right? :p

  • I believe that you believe, otherwise you won’t stick around for so long :]
    Commitment, bruh!

  • 1mtoldman

u could get a ticket on stub hub tonite for 30$; 400 available.

  • yeah, I know :[
I don’t know if I should wish for 8-10 POR lead so Lin/Davis can be unleashed but the tank is still safe

I despise rooting for a tanking team. It makes it so hard to cheer

  • 1mtoldman

at the end of one quarter:

    knicks 10
    otto porter 10
    rest of the wizards 20

  • CJSHYY

Why needs to pay the money to see the tanking team?! Even w $30?! This team sucks all due to coach. I believe next season too if they keep BS.

  • Rick Johnson

Serves them right, hope it happens earlier and more severely next year when Lin gone and fans sick of Kobe and more iso-ball-hog losing.

  • Yascar

I think it’s possible but he’ll really have to ball last 8 games. 16.5 and I’ll be happy. I’m such a tiger fan.

  • Rick Johnson

I hope MIA signs Dragic and Lakers sign Rondo early in the FA season so everyone not waiting around to see where they go before making other moves. Like LeBron gummed up the market with everyone waiting to see where he went.

  • joyce ward

That is why they will go out and overpay Rondo.smh

  • Brent Yen

    Don’t syh…..lol it is a good thing…..LOL

  • joyce ward

I know. I saw a tweet on NBA.com with headlights Chandler Parson’s not living up to that max money..LOL

  • CJSHYY

So now what? He is better than Rondo….LOL!

  • joyce ward

    Yep, he is

  • sport

    Living up better than Rondo.

  • sport

That would be a dream come true! I seriously hope Lin’s been pitching that idea to MDA!

  • sport

Lin just doesn’t take enough off dribbles shots when he does that he has a great game! That’s really the only and best way for him to score is to get the rebound or bring the ball up and not pass cause teammates ice him. Either that or they dribble in place or hold the ball waiting shot clock and by the time Lin run around for the ball again he has to rush up a shot.

  • or we can still get PER 16 but we get 2 Linsanity Prime games vs Kings to impress Coach Karl 😀

  • Arsenium12 .

Dwight Buycks signed to 10 day contract.

  • Rick Johnson

Another D-Leaguer as an excuse to keep the ball out of JLin’s hands.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    That’s a wonderful idea.

  • CJSHYY

To replace Ellington. Whatever Lakers wants… only 8 games to go.

  • joyce ward

I think so too. They have no playmakers for the bench

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS is desperate for miracles but he’s not going to have any.

  • Briiick

Kobe helps Rondo get his max and perhaps Rondo will help him in return to get another 2-year max.

  • joyce ward

Yep, that is how I see it. I have been saying this all along.

  • CJSHYY

For what? BS is doing well w his tanking job so far!

  • joyce ward

I think after Lin told them he was not interested in coming back, they are scrambling now, If you think about this, this doesn’t look good for Ronnie Price…just sayin

  • joyce ward

Lakers know that Lakers fans are not very tolerant, and they will not stand for 2 more years of tanking. They have to bring in Rondo(for big name) to play along side Kobe. Everybody-else is just role players.Clarkson getting all this hype now is to try to draw ticket holders, but it is not going to work. Most laker fans have given up on them. Bringing in Rondo is a band aid solution which won’t last.

  • joyce ward
  • 1mtoldman

chandler’s out again with an oweee.

  • Brent Yen
  • chan c

    very well said. 🙂

  • 1mtoldman

san antonio shot 80% from the field in the first quarter 2nite against denver. on pace for about 140 tonite. peaking at just the right time.

  • Brent Yen

    Flew under the radar…again…lol

  • Sophie Paris

Yes bro chip is coming lol

  • Sophie Paris

    Jason big smile 🙂

  • Brent Yen

    Lol, he better be.

yer not using initials and i still dont know what yer saying.

    lost in translation ncest pas?

btw my son will be going to france on long delayed trip in may; avignon, lyon, marseilles and maybe cannes.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

Such a great Lin fan from Australia

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Brooklyn played against Toronto
    A fierce battle. 104:102
Hope Brooklyn would go to playoff by winning this one.
You know Brooklyn’s starting SG Markel Brown 2 rebounds 1 assist in 20 mins. Poor kid!

  • 1mtoldman

individual scoring in nba since asg is off the charts; the other nite okc had 3 guys score over thirty and lost. brklyn could have 3 guys score over 30 tonite and lose.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The most expensive team in NBA is fighting for the 8th spot to the playoff.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • Kwok Wai Lai

They might have 3 guys score over 30 and win by 2 points. They fight ferociously though.
Wonder why Jarret Jack couldn’t play. He is a decent player.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • webattorney

His wife doesn’t seem all that pleased with his Lin Love. Lol

  • 1mtoldman

only negative evidently splitter who had been playing well had to leave came early with injury; dont know the extent.

  • webattorney

You mean his wife didn’t make his honeymoon? Lol

  • John Lee

She just seems reserved, perhaps an introverted lady. At least she doesn’t seem DISpleased.

  • Brent Yen

Oh no…they need him to beat Memphis…

  • Brent Yen

    Shhhhh…

  • webattorney

Agreed. Her hubby got enthusiasm for both. Lol.

  • webattorney

The reason I don’t mind at all — and it’s actually better — if Lin leaves Lakers is because I figure if he visits Los Angeles to play Clippers, it would be cheaper to watch him play time to time IF he is playing well and is starting.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Brooklyn played hard to win over Toronto without Kyle Lowry.
Brooklyn’d better get a new SG for their team.
They jumped to the 7th spot with this win.

Is there any NBA team which needs a starting PG now?

  • Sophie Paris

Haha it’s ‘brother’. I’m talking like a man xD You’re lost in English haha
Nice but I’ll not see him he doesn’t stop by Paris. Lol

  • GoodDayLA

Lakers will probably try to sign Love and Rondo this summer. Big names but empty production. As a Laker fan Im sad. But lakers were never going to build with Lin.

  • GoodDayLA

Many need a better one. Every team has one even the Lakers

  • 1mtoldman

    only at the airport. oh
Bro short for brother and chip short of championship.

i truly dont get it. smh. re. ikr. ofc.

  • GoodDayLA

Lin can only maybe get lucky and get a chance in a second rate smaller market team since he is asian.

  • 1mtoldman

it appears masked marvel super-hero ball is running out of steam; not even a double double 2nite on 5 of 20 shooting in loss to memphis.

a n.o. win tonite and only a half game beyond for the last spot.

  • sport

Lakers hyping up Clarkson at the start of the game, looks like Lin already told them he’s not signing.

  • blubell

That was a beautiful move… to bad he missed

  • Sophie Paris

    English is fun lol

  • sport

all 6 points of Lakers from Clarkson. O.o

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Utah needs a much better PG to compete. I think they should consider signing Jeremy.

  • blubell

    someone is not guarding Lillard…

  • sport

Clarkson of course just cares about getting his points.

  • stam

Lin is aggressive but his shot is a little off.

  • Alain Gervais

lakers have zero direction. clarkson has the most stats that have zero effect that I’ve ever seen

  • sport

    Yes gotta keep taking shots.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is a little cold. Needs to warm up. I do see a little hesitation in his shots

  • stam

probably still recovering from being sick.

  • blubell
  • Alain Gervais

also clarkson have not been scouted its obvious. he is getting all he wants. he will be sooner or later

  • John Lee

Thank goodness this craziness end in 11 days. JC the PG is a joke.

  • blubell
  • sport

He’s hesitating to take off dribble 3s!

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin was shooting well during pregame warm up. Just needs to get into the game mentally.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin just needs to have a bit more patience and let the game comes to him.

  • stam

yeah, I think he’s upset with how he’s playing, especially now that clarkson is on fire.

  • sws94

I don’t like the Lin/Clarkson back court. Lin isn’t controlling the offense enough. If he’s going to play the 2, he should do much more moving off ball than he’s doing.

  • sport

SG playing as PG which is what most PGs are nowadays, scoring points is what matters. Why do you think Stephen Curry is considered the best PG with his scoring ability even though Chris Paul has more assists.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Hilarious how much space Clarkson gave Damian on that 3..

On the other hand, this game is getting boring without Jeremy on the floor.

  • GoodDayLA

    Only to us lin fans

  • stam

    Uh where is clarkson….

  • Rick Johnson

Lin out time to stretch the lead.

  • Alain Gervais

god clarkson back up yet lilard shooting threes like crazy

  • Keith

    STRING CHEESE CHAMPS

  • TTNN

did Hill just screened JC so that Lillard could shoot a 3?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Without Jeremy as the decoy, Portland would stop Clarkson.

  • stam

LOL hill is screening his own teammates?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

After taking Jeremy out, the game becomes a landslide.

  • Alain Gervais

at least clarkson scoring while lilard looks rot go for 100 lol

  • chan c

    lol..

  • TTNN

JC was under Hill in defending Lillard, so he shot a 3 of course.

  • sport

It’s boring even with JLin who’s not getting to be PG since he got back from sickness at all! Now it’s all showcase for Clarkson as PG.

  • stam

HIll is always in the damn way.

  • John Lee

ZERO BBall IQ and NO low post game, exact opposite of Ed Davis.

  • Briiick

JC has been consistently the worst in +/- in LAL, just another MCW.

  • Alain Gervais

    yep

  • joyce ward

Why do you come here? I don’t even think you are a Lin fan…smh

  • sport

Don’t like Lin play SG period, it’s just an excuse to marginalize him! Lin should just say he doesn’t like playing the SG position! Other SG gets to handle the ball and be the PG but not Lin of course!

  • Alain Gervais

    this is sad

  • Alain Gervais

    wheres the defense

  • stam

Clarkson is so lucky getting all the easy rebounds lol.

  • blubell

    on a milk carton.

  • I am The Jason

Damian Lillard scored more points in the quarter than the entire Lakers. That’s just sad.

  • John Lee

No offense and no defense for 4 full minutes. Landslide at its best, Lakers “future” looks real bright indeed.

  • sport

Clarkson also has the height for rebounds, at he’s getting them unlike Hill who doesn’t box out at all! Lin needs to go for rebounds if he wants to bring the ball up.

  • Keith

Only thing Clarkson got is his stats. not wining.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy is the only choice for the Lakers now.

  • TTNN

so after Lin sub out, Lakers scored 2, and give up 11

  • HeroBallJLIN

JLin is able to bring the team together. Even if JLin stats don’t show it. JLin makes the team better.

  • TTNN

I hope they let Ed in

  • HeroBallJLIN

    Lakers think its Clarkson

  • John Lee

JC the “PG” helps the team to a 25% FG in first quarter.

  • HeroBallJLIN

JLin is back in. Hope Ed comes in too but doesn’t look like it.

  • HeroBallJLIN

    Wuck Fes, man he sucks

  • BobbyH

    No PnR for Lin.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Only Ed Davis can provide that for Lin

  • TTNN

    So Wes is featured today?

  • IsabeliJane*17

LOL Hill you let that guy lay up on your face?

  • John Lee

You mean Ed Davis, aka Mr. Freeze?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

No rim protection; thanks to Byron Scott.

  • joyce ward

Ok, lin knows this dance, they are not going to help him. Lin needs to get his rebounds and do his thing.

  • John Lee

With bigs like Hill, no wonder D12 was touted as best center.

  • Alain Gervais

lakers run to the paint and shoot lol zero direction. lin not the pg

  • pandaboy99

This is preallstar game lin forced to stand in the corner

  • sport

Yup it’s every man for themselves in this game! Lin just gotta go for rebounds and get to the rim, shoot some 3s!

  • HeroBallJLIN

Everybody out for themselves on Lakers except Lin of course.

  • sws94

Is Ed going to play at all in any more games?

  • Alain Gervais

with out davis we have no defense

  • Brent Yen

LOL this game is terrible to watch

  • Alain Gervais

    nope

  • Sophie Paris

    That’s why he’s wuck fes

  • sws94

    Absolutely.

  • sport

Really hope Lin can scratch some points, take some off dribble contested shots, teammates playing all iso.

  • Alain Gervais

a lot of iso zero defense. what are you taking about this is ball 101

  • GoodDayLA

Jeremy Lin should just jack 3’s. I mean what would really happen to him?

  • John Lee

What “game”? This travesty does not qualify.

  • sport

Hill doesn’t give any effort on defense so horrible.

  • I am The Jason

This Lakers team has vacation on their mind. Lin is not even trying to attack the basket

  • John Lee

At least he’s consistent…always been this way. SMH

  • JoeTeam

Lin just feeding the practice boys. Booz doing the disco moves forgetting to bounce the ball.

  • GoodDayLA

I saw Kobe slap hands with Hill last game when Hill sat down after Hill looked like he intentionally sand bagged the game and played HORRIBLE. Kobe slapped his hand.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Ouch 0 for 4 for Lin

  • blubell

    these refs…

  • BobbyH

BS to the team: If you have an open look, just shoot.
JC has the ball and has the first look. A wild open look, shoot. An open look shoot. A slight open look, shoot. No open look, dribble to find open look and shoot. If none above, pass to the guy next.
    The guy next, repeat above.
The guy next to next, repeat above
    ….
The last guy Lin, No, it is not 100% open, pass.

  • Grace Nsns

    too bad got blocked.

  • Alain Gervais

a lot of tough shots. team not passing so no space

  • Grace Nsns

    Oh please, free throws!

  • GoodDayLA

I blame Jlin for not jacking 3’s. I do. He should seriously just jack 3’s like when he scored 38 on the spurs. He has lost that fire to want to prove people wrong. It’s good for him long term but you see less of him exploding now.

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

I blame you for blaming him

  • HeroBallJLIN

    missed 2 FTs too

  • IsabeliJane*17

Seriously? He jacked 3s on that game vs Spurs? LOL o-kaaaay

  • Briiick

He has nothing more to prove at this stage, knowing that BS is trying to lose every game from now on.

  • sport

Lin was wide open for a layup on that fast break but Jabari Brown just for himself.

  • Grace Nsns

    Even Brown got 8pt

  • GoodDayLA

I don’t get it? Someone explain?

  • joyce ward

I hope lin wakes up and get rebounds and starts scoring…smh

  • JoeTeam

this is the kind of game where you turn it off and in the 2nd half, Lin comes alive and salvages a stat line but not efficiency. hang in there. or we just watch practice.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

At least Lakers is playing some D.

  • GoodDayLA

YES HE DID. Are you kidding? He jacked 3’s and killed the Spurs.

  • Grace Nsns

    hope so.

  • GoodDayLA

He is asian and Jlin. He always has something to prove.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Seriously? Jacked 3s? JACKED 3s? Is GOOD SHOT SELECTION foreign to you?

  • Grace Nsns

    Lillard in, go Jeremy!

  • Alain Gervais

lakers so selfish taking any wifi of a shot. its crazy. end this please

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • John Lee

Making threes and jacking threes are not the same.

  • TTNN

wow, this is ESPN game, and Lakers don’t even try to put on a fight

  • BobbyH

The next 2 games, BS will play LED a lot.

  • GoodDayLA

maybe Jlin is still crazy and wanted to stay in LA. Then he heard about Max Kellerman saying Rondo 100% in summer. So Lin is bummed and playing uninspired basketball on Good Friday of all days.

  • JoeTeam

he’s ginning. Then he throws a wild pass into the stands when he thinks of Jeremy. Just not focused.

  • stam

yeah this game is pretty sad to watch. is Lin is still under the weather?

  • HeroBallJLIN

13 minutes of play and Lin has 0 points, 0 assists (not his fault, teammates keep missing)

  • GoodDayLA

this team stinks so bad that Lin jacking 3’s is better than 99% of shots.

  • Sophie Paris

    You’re thinking too much lol

  • I am The Jason

I’m watching an NBA team toying with a division 2 college team.

  • Grace Nsns

Guess so, yesterday he was still pretty sick.

  • Alain Gervais

stop pushing your issue on lin

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott your offense has generated only 23 points so far.

  • JoeTeam

I blame J Brown for taking all the jacks in this game. No room for your blame, bro.

  • bolero

    no pnr

  • bolero

    lin missing ed

  • GoodDayLA

The offense if you notice has completely reverted to the slow lame offense that started off the season. No more PnR, just Lin pass and screen and stand in corner never getting ball and looking pretty marginal.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I’m sure that Byron is thinking about someone to save his skin now.
Nothing works for him in his lineup and rotations.

  • GoodDayLA

I agree with Joyce. Lin cannot do NOTHING out there. He is going to get 30 minutes and look BAD losing by 30. Lin must at least get some empty stats.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin having trouble taking shots in the paint

  • GoodDayLA

what the heck man. They are tanking.

  • GoodDayLA

finally a 3. Thank you Lin. I don’t care if you miss it. Just take it! Thank you!!!!

  • Grace Nsns

Lin’s so off today, ice cold again.

  • JoeTeam

wow, lin headed to one of his worst games eva …

  • Alain Gervais

    relax

  • Grace Nsns

    we still have 2nd half.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is supposed to be the best player on Lakers. Unfortunately not today.

  • GoodDayLA

    LOL

  • Job713

Lin will pick it up in the second half, but man, what a lethargic effort by the Lakers.

  • GoodDayLA

Hey Pablo Torre said Lin thinks too much as well, Sits in his room and can’t sleep from anxiousness!

  • blubell

    It ain’t over yet.

  • JoeTeam

I’m chilled, just watching his game and he’s not really up for it. Didn’t even spark on Lilllard. Hate this offense. Really do.

  • TTNN

he is the last option on the floor

  • Alain Gervais

exactly they have zero energy. zero defense not moving lin running into 2 man in the paint

  • Kwok Wai Lai

27 points for the team almost in the half.

  • Job713

Worthy comparing JC to Lillard. Looks like he had force that out. LOL

  • GoodDayLA

Lin is very bad today. Clarkson is the only one doing anything. Although Clarkson’s defense is terrible.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin was hitting those 3s during pregame warm-up. Not sure why hes so off during game

  • Alain Gervais

he is like always but team not passing. also they lack energy so it makes lin look like this.

  • sws94

He only took one 3. He needs to take some mid range shots.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

Jeremy will be fine…Tonight may not be his night…It happens.

  • sport

It’s sad when the best player on the floor is Clarkson, only person scoring and getting assists =/ Dude’s been on a hot streak with not teams game planning for him.

  • JoeTeam

I wouldn’t count playing horse doing something.

  • JoeTeam

    yep, seeing the me-ball.

  • HeroBallJLIN

If Lin can hit his next 5 shots, he can make this a good game

  • GoodDayLA

See Clakrson has it figured out. He just shoots jumpers….Lin I do not know what he is thinking sometimes….Lakers are not winning period. Just take your shots…..SMH

  • sws94

He’s not played bad. He’s scoring and had a few decent assists. Defensively, he’s not doing that well.

  • joyce ward

You always are so over the top with your comments. Notice how nobody responds to your comments at times, because you are in left field most of the time..smh

  • JoeTeam

Sorry, if everyone just jacls shots, they’d lose by 40. Oh, wait …

  • Job713

He’s resisting all his might to join the Dark Side.

  • blubell

    Mark Jackson praising Jeremy!

  • GoodDayLA

exactly my point…they are losing regardless. Might as well stat pad

  • TTNN

    ESPN is praising Lin’s effort.

  • sport

Clarkson has that mentality of just taking shots without a care in the world. Lin gotta do the same, teams tanking and only thing matter is scoring for yourself.

  • GoodDayLA

yes that is all i am trying to express

  • HeroBallJLIN

Mark Jackson saying Lin making good effort. Lakers are down by 20 and Lin still making great effort to try and stop the layup. Lin making a good example to his teammates. To continue to provide effort

  • sport

Gotta give Clarkson credit he knows how to cut tot he bucket for points when teammates stop ball movement.

  • TTNN

    true

  • IsabeliJane*17

Clarkson will be a good 6th man and nothing else.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Seems that Lakers wins this quarter.

  • joyce ward

I think Lin has decided to not do the heavy lifting for this team, because he never gets credit for anything. Lin knows that his knows how to win, and this is not the way.

  • Briiick

BS is not supposed to tank their ticket price, not a good tanker.

  • Alain Gervais

i think lin is still sick seem a little slower lacking energy

  • JoeTeam

He’s just cruising recovering from his flu.

  • TTNN

I think the game plan was let other people play….

  • Brent Yen

    I think Lin still tried….

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is 0 for 5. Don’t remember him taking another shot to be 0 for 6.

  • JoeTeam

yep, just running out the cobwebs, sweatin’ it out.

  • Briiick

Can’t go against the tanking force all the time, but he is still doing his best to play the correct BB.

  • GoodDayLA

unforuntately he lacks the reputation and clout to get away with that. Nobody in the NBA has acknowledged Lin is anything other than backup PG. He can’t mail it in.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

God is great…God will take care of Lin..Lin has to stay calm and wait…This season is pretty much over, so not much he can do about it…..Tonight looks like one of these tough night he’ll have to get through and learn.

    God is great!

  • Alain Gervais

lin will hit his next 6 shots lol

  • joyce ward

    Shut up…smh

  • Brent Yen

Lin played pretty hard tho….I see nothing wrong with his play, except being cold

  • bolero

he’s just standing care. don’t care much..

  • sport

As selfish as Clarkson is, his back to back scoring in 2nd quarter has brought the Lakers back in the game from this sad blow out. Seeing how Clarkson plays so carefree with this hot streak reminds me of Lin during Linsanity, just look to score without worrying about anything.

  • blubell

Mark Jackson praised Jeremy’s efforts so yes he tried.

  • sws94

Why? Clarkson has 18 points tonight in half the game. He’s been very solid. Right now, Clarkson is on a roll and almost Linsanity like streak. The kid is playing well.

  • GoodDayLA

He is not trusting his jumper. He is over driving. Running in the circle around the paint too much today. Needs to shoot some jumpers sometimes.

  • bolero

    2nd that..

  • Alain Gervais

its not linsanity. more like iso

  • Briiick

    You have a point here.

  • joyce ward

Because he has support of the coach…duh…

  • HeroBallJLIN

his jumpers has been off this season

  • sport

Very true, Lin never gets that after Mike D’antoni left! Really needs to team up with Mike again this offseason!

  • GoodDayLA

Lin won’t do that here in LA. What is unfortunate is that he lost that mojo and focus he had 10 games away where he decided to take it at the NBA.

  • Filler-up

in looks like he does not give a crap, except for that chase down.

  • Brent Yen

WE have a very different idea of Linsanity…lol

  • sws94

The scoring is like Linsanity, not the leading and organizing of the offense.

  • Keith

I like Clarkson, hope “rookie of the month” turns him into jacka*SS

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin has no assist; just plays defense.
I don’t think he’s the go to guy. He isn’t the PG that he used to be because he only made 1 TO.
If Lin is the PG, he would make some assists and some more TOs perhaps.

That’s is the new Byron offense centers around Clarkson and Brown. Clarkson and Brown don’t work well together.Perhaps they don’t play defense too well,.

At least the gaps closes down at the end with Jeremy and Clarkson playing at the end of this quarter.

  • Brent Yen

I do not feel that way. I think he played hard

  • sws94

    He’s on a roll, he’s in a groove.

  • Filler-up

He can’t win by himself. He can score 40 and the Lakers will still lose because the rest of the team is not inspired.

  • GoodDayLA

did not look like star NBA player…let’s be honest. I don’t follow Lin because I think he makes a swell bench warmer.

  • John Lee

Good job rubbing it in. Anything else you’d like to enlighten us with?

If I wanted to read Debbie Downer comments I could’ve just stayed at the old turf.

  • sport

Those 2 games of rest from sickness really messed up his rhythm 🙁

  • GoodDayLA

still he must shoot them. He hit like 6 in a row in Sixer game.

  • Alain Gervais

you mean the freedom is like it.. yea thats what a coach who let you play feels like

  • sws94

He’s playing OK, he’s just out of sync and still isn’t there physically.

  • Briiick

JC has been consistently the worst +/- player in the team. I thought fans here knew better.

  • Alain Gervais

hope lin can get some energy looks drained

  • GoodDayLA

rub what in? You guys are really too sensitive. Geeze.

  • blubell
  • CJSHYY

So Lin is not the PG even not w 2nd unit?

  • bolero

    isosanity

  • Brent Yen

    He pulls the defense too.

  • blubell
  • Keith

Please don’t compare Clarkson to Lin during Linsanity unless he leads this team into playoff.

  • sport

Except people only care about total scoring and points in the NBA. The 30+ scoring is also why Lin got so much attention during Linsanity!

  • IsabeliJane*17

Anyone harping Jeremy’s shooting, Stephen Curry’s bandwagon still has space. You’re welcome.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin comes in the game with a new role and he’s finding his way now with this new guys on the block.

  • GoodDayLA

    I guess

  • sws94

But he’s confident. On thing I like, and Stu mentioned it, is that he is in motion. Lin tends to camp out at the 3 point line. I’d like to see Lin move off ball a lot more. In a way, Lin is letting the others handle the offense and deferring to them by not moving off-ball more.

  • John Lee

Sorry about my sensitivity to “yapping the obvious”.

  • Brent Yen

Exactly. It is just that he is in a bad team so ppl could not see the differences.

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

    1. He’s good at nothing but shooting. Note that I said shooting.
    2. He’s a rookie. Let’s see how he does when he comes to the “real world” next season.

  • Briiick

    so you follow them…

  • GoodDayLA

    Ok Roy.

  • sport

Lol Technically I already have one foot on the Stephen Curry bandwagon already. By playoff time I’ll have both feet in! GSW and Spurs are the teams I’m rooting for. Can’t wait for a GSW and Spurs scoring battle, it’s going to be Epic!

  • joyce ward

You have one more bait post and you will be shut down.Take that crap to the other site.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Both Carlos Boozer and Jeremy were cold in the first half. Even Jordon Hill didn’t do anything at all.

So this offense spins around Clarkson, Johnson, and Black. I think it must be something about the game plan. Jeremy, Boozer and Jordon are just used as decoy.

  • KL

The last 2 games against 2 good teams fighting for playoff position (New Orleans & Portland). You can bet they will shut the driving lanes. No Ed Davis. Clarkson doing a mini Kobe. Challenging for Lin for sure. He will need his mid range shot to fall and it is just a matter of time before he gets back into rhythm.

  • HeroBallJLIN

If Lin shot 6 in a row tonight, it would completely reverse his first half play this game.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Not a fan of Jalen Rose. I remember him hating on JLin. Jalen Rose just said JC “one Laker that can play basketball”

  • PPP

    Umm…hes shooting well.

  • blubell
  • sport

Of course cause unlike JLin, Clarkson isn’t going to force feed Hill the ball neither is JLin now that he’s playing SG in recent games. If Lazy Hill wants to score he needs to go for rebounds and work hard for offense put back but he doesn’t of course! Anyone can see both Ed Davis and Tarik Black are better than Hill!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s amazing that Lakers is only 13 points behind. The game was blown wide open over 25 points at one time, I think.

  • Dan Cohen

is something wrong with lin? as in recovering still or what.. he seems so off tonight.. except for defense effort.
Also was boozer rusted from dnp all these time? some seems like he can get a shot in.

  • Alain Gervais

up and down part of nba. also still sick. he will over come

  • Dan Cohen

he CAN’T get a shot in

  • Alain Gervais

    also sick

  • Briiick

The opponent doesn’t need to try as hard when leading this much.

  • sws94

He’s good at rebounding and he’s getting better at assists. He is gaining a chemistry with Black. The one thing I will not do as a Lin fan is to deny credit to a player who is playing well playing the same position as him. The past few games, Clarkson has been playing well in more than scoring and he isn’t turning the ball over that much either.

  • sport

Not playing PG anymore and his shot is off! Offense centered around the rookies in Clarkson and Brown now.

  • HeroBallJLIN

I was always worry when Lin misses shots early. It affects his confidence on his next shots. His confidence is shaken on his shots. He even missed both FTs. You know something is not right.

  • Alain Gervais

    interesting

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Same problems happens to Boozer, Jordon Hill and Jeremy Lin.
I don’t think it is just a coincidence.
There must be a reason behind all these.

  • Dan Cohen

if they want first round picks why and how would linaj come in to pay.

  • sws94

He looks good out there. We shouldn’t be in denial about that. He’s been the best Lakers player the last 3 games.

  • Dan Cohen

    he is out fishing somwhere

  • Alain Gervais

he will hit his next six watch lol

  • HeroBallJLIN

    I really hope so.

  • sws94

He was hit hard on that foul. I think it was that more than anything else.

  • sport

Darn Lin with 3 fouls, only one playing defense =/

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy started with a foul and he would be benched soon.

  • CJSHYY

Just like what he did in Rox?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Bingo; first hoop.

  • sport

OMG Finally!! 2 pointer with friendly bounce!

  • HeroBallJLIN

I hope so. Hope his confidence is not too bad

  • blubell

    was that a block?

  • joyce ward

I think lin has decided not to do anything more for this team. I think he will play his game if he is allowed. Stop with the drama that lin doesn’t feel confident. He will do what he feels to do to keep the team in the the game, because they are all about failure. God doesn’t fail in anything.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Aldridge is going to be unstoppable.

  • 1mtoldman

on a nite like this need some good news; with that basket lin FOR THE MOMENT now lead the lakers on the season in

    points
    assists
    and steals

that is total points assists and steals.

    despite only starting 28 games.

(he was 1 point behind a tie boozer/hill going into tonites game and as i type this neither of those have scored).

  • CJSHYY

I agree. I think he is just not happy.

  • Briiick

    Agreed.

  • JoeTeam

shat the hoot? Kelly totally ignoring Lin, freelancing when he’s in trouble.

  • 1mtoldman

see the postive post i made below. about lins success with the lakers this season on the season.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin will find his rhythm if he gets the minutes.

  • Alain Gervais

    he will

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Kelly is not doing well either.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Playing “well” because the opposing team’s scouting report is not giving the ROOKIE much thought. Let the guy enter the season where EVERY HAND IS ON HIS FACE and from there I’d see how good he can score or get a rebound. I don’t look at his short term effects.

  • Grace Nsns

    5 rebounds.

  • HeroBallJLIN

I think Lin will get to the FT line a lot and thats how he will get his points.

  • Grace Nsns

    free throw!

  • sport

That layup was so close for an And1 but I’ll take the FTs! Lin finally woke up!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Getting a FT that will gives him some confidence.
Another Ft goes in. Things looking better.

  • Grace Nsns

ok, my heart back into stomach

  • Kwok Wai Lai

This quarter is still a draw considering that Lakers is playing with a baby lineup.

  • sws94

I don’t dispute that, but right now the kid is playing well.

  • sport

    Lin out.

  • Grace Nsns

JC and Black have good chemistry. missing ED here, BS did it on purpose

  • bolero

just when he’s starting to warm up..

  • IsabeliJane*17

Playing well for now.. “for now” being the operative phrase here. If he stays at that kind of “well” he’ll be a good 6th man at best.

  • John Lee

Brace for impact, here comes landslide number two.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Brown comes in Jeremy..
    Let’s see the difference.

Jabrai is having the worst +/- -18.

  • sport

That’s BS for you. Lin seriously needs to reunite with MikeD he’s been the only coach who gave him support and legit starter role and minutes!

  • sws94

Lin doesn’t have his usual strength. He’s just off, his timing on the shot, his finishing around the rim.

  • Grace Nsns

    Lin out like clock, BS

  • Alain Gervais

    sickness have effected his legs

  • sws94

He has to come out now, he plays point to start the 4th. There is no other option. Clarkson is playing well, so he gets more minutes.

  • 1mtoldman

to briefly summarize the post below and bring it up to the top: even tho starting only 28 games this year and despite obviously not one of his better games tonite: with his first made basket 2nite for the moment now leads the lakers on the season in

    points
    assists
    steals.

thats rite. as of this moment lin has more total of each of the above categories than anyone else (was 1 point behind hill/boozer in total points going into the game and neither one have scored to this point).

  • sport

    Obviously not 100%.

  • sws94

Yeah, he’s not getting elevation so he’s overcompensating with his arms and he’s off.

  • sport

Of course so JC can rake up assists numbers with Black as PG while Lin’s stats suffers standing in the corner. Every hater coach has done that, Mchale and now BS.

  • JoeTeam

not really. series of great midrange games since ASB.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Wesley Johnson gets 13 rebounds. He’s going to have a monstrous game. A double double already for Wesley.

  • sport

Johnson again gets the longest leash, 31 minutes with 5 minutes till end of 3rd quarter even though he’s been a slump.

  • JoeTeam

he’s part of the reason any LAL are down so much – it’s a solo game now, offensive set notwithstanding.

  • sws94

    He’s playing pretty well.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

With Jeremy gone, the lead grows back to almost 20 points.
Ryan Kelly, Boozer, Hill and Jeremy all having a bad game.

  • JoeTeam

his play is destroying all team fabric. I’ve played with guys like that. All the guys who don’t get the game love the guy, so they just go with that and you can’t form any team response to pressure.

  • Brent Yen

Not that Lal will win. But to a normal team, I would give the ball to who ever Lillard is guarding either.

  • Brewkowski

Not watching but listening on radio and they’re praising the good game by jc and talking about his career highs in points and rebounds that he should surpass. and everyone else not contributing.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy and Tarik Black are having the best +/- for the team.

  • Brent Yen

    Deservedly so.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Lakers are coming back in this quarter. Perhaps there is still hope in the 4Q

  • HeroBallJLIN

Can’t hate on JC. He’s doing his thing. Actually he’s been playing well the last few games.

  • Grace Nsns

+/- not a factor at this moment.

  • Ttt

Why isn’t that back court TO charged to Clarkson?

  • sws94

Black is helping Clarkson, they’re like a poor man’s Lin/Davis.

  • sport

Averaging 20 points past 6 games.

  • sws94

    yes.

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • Brent Yen

Because only Lin is tov prone…lol

  • sport

Well I’d say Black is better and more athletic than Davis.

  • Brent Yen

    just lower BB IQ

  • Kwok Wai Lai

When both Jeremy and Black were in, the team gave up least points or scored more points either way must be true.

  • Grace Nsns

Nobody hates on him. He’ got all the opportunities, good for him.

  • sport

Not really, Black goes for many offensive put backs like a center should do and fight hard for rebounds.

  • joyce ward

Lin is outta the Lakers and they are not trying to help him for his next team. They are mad because Lin did the FU with them first. Lin has to figure out how to handle the backlash. I don’t think that Lin is still sick, I think he is fed up and he is not going to help a team that wants to lose.

  • Alain Gervais

just say his ball iq is low

  • Brent Yen

    Less drive to begin with.

  • HeroBallJLIN

well some hate on JC. Some on this site…

  • Brent Yen

THat has little to do with IQ

  • sport

Only 10 games left, doesn’t matter.

  • sws94

I don’t think Black is better than Davis, he plays a more power game. Davis is better finishing around the rim and a better shot blocker and rolls well to the basket and sets good picks.

  • sws94

I do think he is sick. The way he looks driving is not the usual JLin.

  • Grace Nsns

Don’t think so, LIn’s a pro, he mentioned that he’s going to finish the season strong.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

If I were the Portland coach, I’m not going to be pleased.

  • sport

He just said last game it’s still lingering of course he’s still sick

  • Promo Sports World

Jeremy will be the steal of free agency but I’m resigned in thinking this will be Jeremy’s last time starting for a long time….The 6 man role is there for the taking in 2016

  • sws94

Clarkson looks like he is going for 30 on ESPN.

  • Grace Nsns

    Who’s been guarding JC?

  • HY C

    I think Lillard.

  • Promo Sports World

Kid Clarkson is a player….if someone gave you the keys to score how many would turn it down

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Actually Jabrai Brown didn’t do anything much this quarter.
I think Jeremy may play in the 4Q.

  • Brent Yen

    too many

  • joyce ward

Whatever. Don’t think so. You can do so much to an individual until you are totally fed up. It is human nature. We all know that you are just a lin critic. We have peed your hole card a long time ago with your drive by postings…smh

  • Alain Gervais

all this clarkson hype yet we are down by 13

  • Alain Gervais

cant wait to see him next year. i don’t buy clarkson at all

  • sws94

I don’t agree with you. I think Lin is out there trying to help his team do as well as possible but he is still not able to play up to his capabilities due to illness. The hustle is there, he’s just not shooting well.

  • Brent Yen

    He will be a SG…

  • Promo Sports World

I think he could a good player but Kobe will kill him

  • Keith

    @chankpc @kianainhi808 @kayincateyes @zukovka @LeManDidier Someone at game tweeted @JLin7 just asked for and took meds.— linspiredinla (@linspiredinca) April 4, 2015

  • Alain Gervais

its crazy the hype but then again all lins competition always gets hyped up

  • sws94

He’s playing great. He’s outscoring LIllard. He is not only scoring, he’s looking for Black and rebounding. He’s a rookie and he’s showing up on national TV.

  • HeroBallJLIN

Glad Clarkson is playing well. He did a 180 from when he first started playing. He went from deer in headlights to playing confidently. Good for the kid.

  • CJSHYY

He is just ISO ISO ISO… 20 shots by 3Q?! smh! Did Kobe on the bench?

  • Alain Gervais

    theis isn’t real defense

  • JoeTeam

    there you go …

  • Promo Sports World

Also plays for LA who is searching for anything to promote — perfect storm

  • HeroBallJLIN

On ESPN they just showed JLIN Adidas commercial. Too bad Lin is having a off night.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

What kind of stupid lineup fo rthe 4Q

  • blubell

ESPN just played Jeremy’s adidas commercial.

  • Brent Yen

Lin just said “Hype, do not need it” LOL on ESPN commercial

  • joyce ward

Take your Clarkson love to another site. Just keeping it real

  • sport

Wow Ed Davis actually in 4th quarter? Of course without Lin.

  • JoeTeam

I’d rather play better as a team than to score points, really. You win together, you lose by trying it alone.

  • sport

    Anyone got a clip?

  • sport

The tanking lineup of course cause Lakers brought Blazers lead down to 11!

  • HeroBallJLIN

Just giving props to him. Not a JC fan. I am a JLIN fan 🙂

  • blubell

  • CJSHYY

    So JC is still on?

  • JoeTeam

he has skills, but he’s not a good player. He ruins the game flow.

  • Promo Sports World

I agree if this was a team but this has been all designed to go this route all along

  • joyce ward

    Is lin in?

  • Alain Gervais

lead back to 19 clacks hype. he gets soo much empty meaningless points

  • Alain Gervais

not yet but davis is hope and lin plays

  • sport

    Thanks!

  • joyce ward

    So you say

  • Promo Sports World

Like A baseball player who hits homers with no one on base

  • Brent Yen

Both JC and JB kept losing their man in transition and anywhere…

  • sws94

There is no Clarkson love, Joyce. But if he is playing well he is playing well. Personally, I don’t have anything against him. I don’t have the connection to him I have with Lin but his father was sick and is still battling cancer and he doesn’t seem like a bad kid. He’s a rookie and he’s making the most of his minutes. Good for him. Is he Lin? No. But I have nothing against him.

  • JoeTeam

so the game is still a team game. Losing by this much is nothing to say ‘good’ about. It’s robbing the fans. Take Clarkson out and let JLin, sick and all, run the team. Oh, wait … I forgot they won 2 over 76ers from Clarkson free throws, so he was guaranteeing himself long tank PT. BSc is a better coach than I thought.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byrons Scott really fools around with his rotations a lot.

  • KL

Meaningless hype, stat padding and good tanking loss. Lakers fans getting what they want.

  • Grace Nsns

JC’s going to play 42min? where is Lin?!

  • sport

Well his points are his points and he’s shooting efficiently and he did make some great assists and working well with Johnson. He did get the Blazers lead down to 11 until BS put in rusty Sacre and Davis for tanking purpose.

  • Brent Yen

He does not need to be evaluated..lol

  • sws94

He’s a rookie. We’ll see if he becomes more of a team player as he matures. Right now, he’s keeping his team closer than if he wasn’t in the game through his scoring. And to me if it makes sense he’s feeling it, then he should look to score.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

This is a home game. I am surprised nobody is screaming for the head of Byron Scott.

  • Promo Sports World

Jeremy landing with a contender…should be the goal. Going to a team like Indiana or Orlando sets up problems….all changes if MDA is a coach

  • blubell
  • sws94

And he’s obviously still not back. Look at Boozer, he looks even worse.

  • joyce ward

This is a lin fan site. I only care about how well lin is doing. If you really look at the game, it is really easy to make you look good, if you are given the ball every-time, which is never afforded to lin. So I spot the fake from the real. Lin has had to fight for every play without any help, so I am hesitant to give praise to someone that has had the table set before him.

  • Grace Nsns

He’s a starter, he got to be on the court, the game was within reach.

  • sport

Doesn’t matter where Lin goes so long as he gets to reunite with MDA who treats him fairly and plays PnR! So sick of this unfair treatment these past 3 years.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott is going to have a home court blown out!!
    LOL

  • Grace Nsns

Jason said that Lin just took some medication, too bad he’s still under the weather.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    a 16-2 run.

Byron is going to be in trouble with the FO.

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • CJSHYY

No, he will not. But how come he doesn’t let Lin in?

  • blubell

Thanks for the info. Hope he rests for faster recovery.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    2 straight turn overs.

  • Grace Nsns

    right, blown up game anyway.

  • JoeTeam

I don’t agree. I think he’s causing the spread to be there.

  • sport

Clarkson asked to be subbed too tired but BS ignored him! Of course he’s going to have TOs.

  • chan c

can the game just end now? 🙂

  • Brent Yen

Mark Hackson implied BS did not put out guys who can compete

  • Kwok Wai Lai

You won’t see too many people going to the Laker home game again.

  • Alain Gervais

i think lin is done for the day

  • JoeTeam

He is not playing well. He is scoring in a disarrayed team effort that is losing by massive points and there is no hope to stay in contact.

  • blubell

yup. the new guy checked in…

  • Grace Nsns

    Buycks in, guess Lin’s done.

  • sport

Lakers know Lin and Ed Davis aren’t going to sign with them and wants to give rookies a run so not going to give them minutes.

  • Alain Gervais

all that clarkson hype to lose by 30

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    A 23-2 4Q.
I think Byron is pressing his luck.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is giving up totally on the 4Q!!!

  • Brent Yen

    hahahahahaha

  • blubell

    Clarkson: Hype, I need it…

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is going to receive a phone call from Jeanie soon.

  • Brent Yen

WHy….because he did a good job?

  • Grace Nsns

    Jason L @jas83j · 3m 3 minutes ago
Clarkson just said, “I’m fucked man” as he was coming off.

  • joyce ward

Learn the game and don’t get caught in the hype of the points. i love the fact that Lin understands the game.He is not only the player in the league that team play is always the best way. You can jump on that points bandwagon all day long, but don’t come here and try to sell that bs scoring to fans who really understand what the game is all about.

  • Alain Gervais

    whats so funny

  • Brent Yen

I just imagined next yrs’ lakers.

  • Yascar

Thank you. Was going to ask the same.

  • blubell

    please edit your post.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Bored to tears. Turned the game off already…. now switching to The Big Bang Theory aka “I love Jim Parsons” mode.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I hope Byron will lose to the Clippers like this game two in a roll.
I can see him get fired in the off season.

  • Brent Yen

I really do not know how can BS lost a game so effortlessly…lol..it takes talents

  • Alain Gervais

look like the lakers will be in a long decline

  • blubell

    to say TANK You.

  • Brent Yen

    Tank you

  • sport

Not if your teammates don’t play as a team! And Clarkson gets it, he’s not forcing the team play mentality instead he’s looking out for himself and scoring efficiently. Lin has great intentions but he’s not going to get respect if he’s not putting up points due to all the discrimination.

  • sport

Depends of whether Kobe is still there next season which he will be. Byron’s tanking is decision from FO.

  • sport

I love Big Bang Theory too, show is witty and hilarious!

  • webattorney

JC will score over 30, and Lakers will lose by 30 points. Lol

  • sws94

Well, I think I know the game. Watched it since Willis Reed and Frazier played for NYC 🙂 I’m not jumping on any bandwagon and don’t expect everyone to agree with you on Clarkson. You have your POV, I have mine. I think he’s done well for 3 games but I don’t think he’s anything established at all yet nor is he my type of PG player like Lin, Stockton, Nash, those types of players that play team ball.

  • joyce ward

I talk to a lot of die hard laker fans and they are not going to si around for another tanker season. Many are ready to go watch the Clippers play. The Lakers will lose this city to the Clippers, I will guarantee that. Most of the Asian/Hispanic fans will abdicate to the laker. Many Hispanic fans have already done that.

  • Keith

I really wanna measure how thick bs skin is?

  • webattorney

If Clippers can win a ring, then Lakers gone. But Clippers far from winning the ring.

  • Grace Nsns

JC won’t be able to score like this after he’s fully scouted.
Just hope LIn recover from his illness quickly, his stats taking hit now.

  • sport

I don’t see Clippers ever winning a ring unless they get another scoring star to help out Blake and CP3 to create a Big 3. Clippers has had the same 2 stars for quite a few years and they’ve never even been to the finals!

I see GSW with two scoring stars being hot favorites for Championship in this and next few years with Lebron’s ship jump back to Clev failing.

  • webattorney

    Agreed.

  • Brent Yen

They are very unlikely to win a ring

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The series with the Clippers is coming soon.
Hope the Laker losses to the Clipper by 30 points in each game.
Also there is another series with the Sacramento Kings.
You would be a fool to buy a ticket to watch the Lakers.

  • CJSHYY

If so they will not even Let Lin start…

  • Guest

Are we not allow to praise any of lin teammates on this site? Are you that serious?smh.

  • bolero

@CNM_JLin_Vids Lin should've sat out more gms, he's clearly not himself. A fan at gm said he took medication after going 2 bench #jeremylin— Jack Nieto (@JackNieto3) April 4, 2015

  • joyce ward

I am not saying that he is. Also I watched the game with Willis Reed, and Walt Frazier and the game has changed much since they played. These were team players and today’s NBA all about individual stats. If Lin had the table spread out before him to do well, them his playing would be off the chart. Lin has had to fend for himself in this NBA. So I am hesitant to get praise to people who have been handed the keys to the kingdom, because from experience, it has been proved to be fools gold.

  • joyce ward

This is a lin fansite. Get real, the way the lakers and some of the team mates have treated lin. Dude get your life

  • Kwok Wai Lai

You think Byron Scott can convince the FO the next season is going to be a turn around. If you do, you must live in the other planet.

  • akgul

This game sealed the deal that lin wont be coming back to the lakers. i think the guy should look into which teams are in need of some pointsguards that actually get to have some freedom to do what they do best….if he wants to start he is going to have to find a team that will give him the minutes…no matter what team that is…i believe that the guy has the skills to be a starter but not the trust of his coaches….so if he really wants to show he has got the starters potential he would find a team that is in dire need of a pointguard..and a coach who is supportive

  • CJSHYY

This team sucks bc BS & Lakers sure lose lots of income due to tank. smh! Buss kids are not smart.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    “Do your Worst! Coach.” Jeanie.

  • Brent Yen

That was sealed a long time ago….lol

  • joyce ward

Duh, we all know lin is not coming back. lin gave them the FU when he changed his website not to reflect anything Laker. And Lin will be fine.

  • JoeTeam

Look, man, you’re basically wrong for anyone who has played competitive sports. You go out there and you get a guy like that on the court to dominate the ball and nobody can get a game going as a team. You lose every time. That’s now we beat the young guys, you get their solo player to take over.

The in reason why JC is allow to play like that is because LAL want to lose.

  • joyce ward

I live in LA, and most of the Laker fans are fed up. If they bring a football team to LA, then Lakers will be a faded memory.

  • dolphin2k2

There is tanking and then there is going out of your way to embarrassing your team.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    Best tankers:
    NY 14
    Minny 16
    Phily 18
    Lakers 20
    Orlando 23

  • Kwok Wai Lai

TWO DAYS from now, it’s Sunday. The Massacre of Lakers begins two more times in a roll.
Lakers only fans please stay at home.

  • joyce ward

    Exactly

  • akgul

yeah pretty much but i was optimistic being that he likes LA and all but the way he is set up to play in this team is a lose/lose situation they practically took away the only player he had any sort of connection with in Ed davis.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

Well, his Twitter acc. Still says Jeremy Lin Los Angeles Lakers in purple and gold

  • blubell
  • Sunny Sullenberger

    What about kobe’s pal Rondo?

  • blubell
  • joyce ward

    And your point is?????

  • HeroBallJLIN

Byron Scott's assessment of Dwight Buycks's 6 minutes, said he was impressed, added: "I think he is more of a true point guard."— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) April 4, 2015

Basically JC is not a true point guard is what BS is saying.

  • Brent Yen

    LMAO…..he can keep saying nonsense…

  • joyce ward

    Smh…And your point is?????

  • dolphin2k2

Clarkson is shooting well because no one plays him seriously. He will have to prove himself when others start to defend him more and force him to play to his weakness. He is scoring well but not directing his team, nor getting others involved.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

BS is full of BS for sure

  • dolphin2k2

He’s found himself a new head of the snake.

  • blubell
  • joyce ward

Make no doubt, they will offer Rondo will try to recruit Rondo and overpay him. Kobe is not going to sit well with Clarkson playing Iso man and taking and taking all the shots.LOL

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Do you think Laker still has a reputation after Byron has done with it?

  • joyce ward

How many minutes did Davis play?

  • CJSHYY

I think he knows Lin is what FO wants for starting PG but he & Kobe just tried everything to stop him to stay.

  • CJSHYY

He knew FO wants Lin not Rondo.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

” We are not tanking but we are certainly banking on our glorious past.” Laker FO

  • akgul

My point is if he wants to get to shine he should find a team that suits him best…There arent that many teams that would take him in as a starter at the moment contenders would take him in as a great backup PG. so he should find one that believes in him as a starter and giving hi starter minutes.

  • joyce ward

There he goes again, acting like he is charge..LOL

  • blubell

Yes, more the better… accelerate his exit. lol

  • Brent Yen

Since Lin is gone, I would like BS to stay

  • Kwok Wai Lai

He is going to start in the next game. Who are they playing against?

  • blubell

You are cruel………. i agree. lol.

  • joyce ward

7 more games..that’s all I gotta say. You know lin must be p*ssed. At least with the rockets they were in the playoffs. This team and this year has wasted his time.

  • JoeTeam

probably more this week about his URI than anything else – he wants to play well when he has the chance. I think he’s at peace with the Rox to LAL stuff – it’s in the bank lol. Next adventure! I bet he’s feeling like college graduation – glad to be done with phase II of his NBA career.

  • leeda harun

So bored and so sad watchin today game. Please get get healthy Jlin

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    12 mins

  • blubell

I can just picture FO saying the exact words while rolling their eyes. haha.

  • FrankW

    12 minutes, 2 points, 1 steal, 1 rebound.

  • Yascar

Let BS make his bed and lie in it. Jeremy never had a chance with BS. I hope for Clarkson’s sake BS becomes a better coach somehow but we all know that’s not going to happen. Jeremy will move on and so will we.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

We aren’t allowed to use those 2 words here.

  • CJSHYY

Just like when he said Price is the head of D for this team & should stay… what about now? He knew FO wants Lin & I still think why FO agree to hype up JC bc they want to use him as asset for trade.

  • FrankW

    Forgettable game, lets move on.

  • JoeTeam

It’s nothing personal … they wanted to be bottom 5 this year.

  • CJSHYY

But no Lin so his stats looks bad. JC & new PG didn’t do anything for him. smh!

  • leeda harun

to be honest I am worrying more now….lol

  • JoeTeam

About what? His next team? It’ll be ok, I think.

  • akgul

My point is if he wants to prove to people he has starter Caliber he would be wise to search for a team that gives him starter minutes.

  • joyce ward

I totally agree. The lakers environment with kobe/scott is hostile environment, It is all about their control. I bet money that Clarkson will be relegated to the bench especially if Rondo signs and Randle will become the player they are trying to promote.. I am glad lin decided to give the FU when he took all things Laker related of his website., Also I think Lin’s legacy in the NBA will be much like Tony Parker/Tim Duncan, who were truly superstars, but never given that title by NBA media, but they are well respected in their game. I see Lin like that in the future. He legacy will be, he played teamball and made everyone aroundd him better.

  • FrankW

The Dwight Buycks from the D League will have more of Lin’s minutes as the Lakers finishing the season. Nothing against him but couldn’t have Lin get out of this madness soon enough.

  • CJSHYY

W this lousy team why needs to risk his healthy for bad game?! No need to do it. I hope Lin can sit out more games. Right now even 7 games it’s too much. Hope end tomorrow. smh!

  • Guest

Get my life? My life is great if not perfect. And OK! I got it! This is a lin fan site! Tell me like I don’t know it~pppffff~~~~smh.

  • CJSHYY

Not tweet account. Check his JLin,com profile picture.

  • joyce ward

Why you still here with your drama…..smh

  • kittyhead

And Kobe to stay for 10 more yrs too!!

  • joyce ward

I love it that most of the league know that lin was not treated fairly by the lakers because of Scott. When lin is allowed to play his game he excels.. Lakers right now are a joke and nobody is giving them any serious attention. They want to make Clarkson look like he is the next coming of Westbrook, but most of the media is holding out for Randle to come back. That is going to be interesting when Randle comes back. Randle will be promoted way a head of Clarkson, because Kobe will make sure of that.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    I can’t breathe.
Can we end the 2014-15 season today?

  • CJSHYY

I think Randle is what FO wants for promotion not JC. But Kobe & BS used him to push Lin out of Lakers. Why no one asked BS about the -30 lose? Can’t believe this record came from Lakers team?! smh!

  • blubell
  • blubell

    Massacre on Easter Sunday? hmmm.

  • Briiick

Yes, similar to what they did to DH12.

  • Brent Yen

Lol…I hear u, but you gotta breathe..

  • CJSHYY

No Lin’s interview? I think he’s probably off early today.

  • blubell

We might need to start reminding everyone to breathe… relax 🙂

  • Briiick

    better not.

  • Acbc

Wow, just checking in to see how Lin did and sounds like he’s still not well. I can’t blame Lin even a little if his mind, like his body has checked out already this season. The chnage on his webpage is already his final farewell to LA.

Now that they have signed another PG, Lin should really just rest until he’s fully recovered. lakers don’t need him, in fact they don’t even want him becasue he might blow up the tank. It’s time for Lin to just save his body until he’s totally healthy again.

  • leeda harun

According to the FO, BS did a good job..tanking

  • MEL LIN

    post this at lakernation haha

  • MEL LIN

    true

  • leeda harun

Jlin want to cherish another 7 games as a laker….

  • CJSHYY

What do you think about Lin said Cherish …

  • TTNN

looks like he just disappeared. No one mentioned him…..

  • CJSHYY

Haha! GM always said like that… I remembered so well, Morey was on first take w SAS one day before the trade dateline, he said ” We are happy w what we have right now…” then next day he traded Pat, TD, & MM out of Rox.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Lin not 100% was not the reason he didn’t do well the last 2 games. He was no show simply because it’s planned. His role is the same as when played along side with kobe early in the season but the difference now is with Clarkson. No PnR, no space. No ball movement, no transiton up n down the floor and no system.

All of these are well planned for tanking and at the same time BS can blame his players for a terrible season he led.

  • Kianainhi

It seems the interview with Pablo was his last interview as a Laker. I don’t believe he will grant any interviews with any Lakers media but I could be wrong. He said all he wanted to in that article.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Is BS now thinking he’s also a GM?

  • TTNN

looks like Lakers are featuring Clarkson now…… He is shooting everything, and also today they are also forcing the ball to Wes.

  • Kianainhi

LOL! BS makes all the personnel decisions. He’s delusional. Kupchak makes all the decisions.

  • MoominFloren

Seems Lin’s not doing well today…..nevermind, it’s only 7 games left.
I’m in Taiwan now and just find out in magazine that there is special edition of Lin action figure. Looks great! Too bad it’s not for sell…….i hope he will change jersey very very soon

  • CJSHYY

Lin is not feeling well today so … no big deal. No one cares about Lakers game now. You are right, only 7 games left.. can’t wait.

  • Kianainhi

You may add Nash to that list. Listened to his interview and Nash exemplified class all the way. One of the role models Lin looks up to. Glad they are friends off the court.
I will always remember when Lin took a hard fall in Houston, Duncan stood next to Lin and made sure he was ok. Much respect to Duncan.

  • CJSHYY

I think he didn’t do interview bc he is not feeling well.

  • Kianainhi

    I believe its the Clippers.

  • Kianainhi

Reason I tweeted that was Jason reported JC asked BS to sub him out twice but coach left him in the game.

  • Kianainhi

He’s slowly disengaging himself from Laker connection on his social media. He will change his twitter acct after his last game.

  • blubell
  • Kianainhi

Lin is concerned with the type of offensive system other teams play. In addition, the intelligence of the coach. He publicly mentioned Spurs & Hawks team play and ball movement. Lin is smart, he will choose well.

  • Brent Yen

JLin prime continues…and today is one of it’s worst realizations. End of story. Lol

  • Brent Yen

JLin and kelly were the only two who did not “jog” back on D…it was just Kelly’s full speed is like jogging…

  • Acbc

What he says with his brain may not be what he feels with his heart. Its easy it is for us to turn the tv or Internet off, Lin is suffering 1000 times the body blows to his mental health on each of the last 2 games. 7 games sounds sooooo easy for us. TAKE IT FROM ME, EVEN NOW WHEN I LOSE A MATCH, I’LL REHASH IT UNTIL 3-4Am NEXT DAY. Anyone who has played sports seriously at any level can’t sleep it off. They’ll replay the games over 1000 painful moments one at a time.

Lin the fighter is why he is where he is. He’ll “cherish” these last 7 games because that’s the make up that has gotten him to where he is. FOR ME AS A LIN FAN, I WANT TO SHIELD HIM FROM THE HARM COMING HIS WAY FOR THESE LAST 7 USELESS GAMES FOR AN UNDERSERVING FRANCHISE.

  • sport

Of course and it doesn’t help that Lin still has some lingering sickness which limits his individual scoring and explosiveness.

  • sport

Only if Lin can land a PnR coach who isn’t a hater and the only sure one I can think of is Mike D’antoni. Desperately want these two to reunite! It’s clear now that only Mike can create Linsanity 2.0 with his PnR plays and smart basketball. These two NEED each other for the next phase of their career.

  • sport

Playing JC a rookie this type of minutes is injury waiting to happen. What kind of coach doesn’t sub out their player when they’re calling for a sub?!

  • MEL LIN

did lakers call a single time out?

  • Kianainhi

Yep, guess BS believes JC is young & athletic so can handle it.

  • sport

Yes Duncan is classy, which is why I want him to get his 6 rings and pass Kobe the selfish ball hog and chucker!

  • sport

despite starting only 28 of the lakers 75 games; after 75 games and with only thus 7 games remaining in the season on the season for the season

jeremy lin leads the lakers in

    total points

    total asists

    total steals

without question the most productive laker on the season.

whether anyone in the organization or on the team or for that matter anyone else other than (and even only then a small % of) lin fans recognize this productivity is an open question.

additional note: the phil. typhoon referenced early is finally arriving to hit exactly on easter sunday morn; my friends text me to say the winds are already strong and they will probably evacuate which is unusual because their own home is like the sturdiest and highest structure around and the only other time they have evacuated was when their previous home was wiped out in the 2009 typhoon. i see latest reports on line say tens of thousands will be evacuated from luzon even tho storm has been downgraded from what was before.

Can’t wait till this season is over..It was a wasted year for Jeremy…He never had a chance being traded to the Lakers and a coach who doesn’t think much of him…Hopefully, the adversity he faced this year will make him stronger as a player so he could work harder to improve this summer.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Until you understand the duty of a point guard then you understand why Clarkson still sucks even scored a bunch.

  • Sophie Paris

    Poor boy he should relax

  • kittyhead

People dont need to know that; it’s enough to know ABJ standard…Any rookie could be a starting or true point guard over Lin for some mysterious reasons.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Can the Lakers afford to see BS on the sideline another season? What about their fans?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

How will Byron play against the Clippers twice?
Will it be another 30 points blow out?

Hope Jeanie will tell him that he’s done a great job for Laker?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Just think about the cross town rival, Clipper first and the cross division rival Sacramento King in the rest of this season before thinking about the next season?

  • takemeback2reaganyears

It’s over for this season as far as I concerned. The situation BS intended to put lin in will not be better if not worse.

  • Res 683

Upper respiratory infections can last up to two weeks sapping one’s energy. For Lin, it has been less than a week and it looks like he has a severe case of it where he had to sit out two games. Just stating the facts. As much a we would like Lin to play well every game, he is not superhuman. By the second half of yesterday’s game Lin looked drained and Scott took him out by mid-3rd quarter. And before the game, Scott said he would use Buycks only in an emergency – which he did.

The Lakers have essentially locked up the bottom five, tanking accomplished, with seven games to go and six more losses than the sixth-worst Kings. And their last two games are with the Kings, if they need to “re-tank.” My guess is that Lin will get plenty of playing time down the stretch since the Lakers will want to wrap up this abysmal season on a high note for the fans and try win a few games.

A fun scenario would be if the Lakers won 6 straight, the Kings lost 6 straight, and the Lakers season came down to the final “ultimate-tank” game (odds of that happening are zero-to-none though, lol).

  • KL

To me, it is clear that Jeremy is the best player on the Lakers. It is a travesty that he gets such ridiculous passive aggressive treatment by the Lakers and the media. It’s like they don’t know what to do with him. Ed Davis is also a great player who is underrated.

Clarkson is a talented scorer but he is simply not a big difference maker. Jordan Hill often has nice stats but his defensive rebounding is terrible and centres usually have high FG% unlike him. The rest of the team… bleh

  • Chipdip

I hope Jeremy will just rest at home until well. Showing casing for next team? He does not need that. They know him well enough after these years and not need these few tanking games at all. Fakers is making Clarkson the hero anyway in these tanking games. Rest Jeremy rest!

  • Chipdip

Exactly. No care anymore on his scoring during this tanking period at its peak. Just hope he gets well soon.

  • BobbyH

I wanted to raise a concern I have for this forum. This forum is to bring positivity surrounding Lin. That means Lin’s plays, Lin’s teammates, and Lin’s team, things on court/off court surrounding Lin. Even if Lin plays poorly, tiger fans or not, we fully support Lin. To that extent, some fans prasie Lin’s teammates performance if they excel (given what they are given), which I am totally for it. Because basketball is all about team.

Posters here are (I ingenuously believe) Lin’s fans. We all want the best for Lin. At the same time, we might cheer for good performance from his teammates. When Lin did poorly and the other teammates played better, I can understand the expectation and frustration some Lin fans had. But there is no need to direct that towards fans prasing Lin’s teammates. After all, everyone is entitled to his opinions, agreeable or not.

Yes, this is Lin’s forum. But it should not be totally centric to Lin only. It should be about what Lin brings and gives. It is more than basketball. It is about what Lin advocates, team-ball, positivity, never give up, and love from God. I believe Lin would be happy for JC’s performance last night. I also believe Lin would not be happy if he scored like JC but lost the game.

This forum is a rare beast in basketball social media world. We should cherish and appreciate and at the same time do our best diligence to make it better. Well, at least that’s what I vision.

  • Keith

We can go to lakersnation and many other Lakers blogs/website to praise his teammates.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

What good to cheer whern your @zz got beaten by 30?

If youre good at scoring then be a scorer, let the true pg doing his job of getting ALL teammates involved not oneself. This forum has always cheered for lin teammates such as jeffies, fields, chandler etc…we don’t cheer those killed team basketball and got blown by double digit points.

  • bolero

he’s well, is that mean he’s 100% and fully recover?

  • BobbyH

So it is OK if Lin scores like crazy and we praise Lin like crazy at the other sites, and it is not OK to praise JC here?

I am not big on JC and I know JC is all about iso. But the point is this forum should be open to opinios as long as not being negative. Even if we don’t agree, we should not diss those posters to go away or get a life.

  • Good point in raising a potential concerning issue, @disqus_T3EnYYJXnU:disqus

IMO I have no problems with praising Clarkson if he does well or criticize him respectfully if his defense is still lacking since he’s still a rookie.

The reason is even Lin is not threatened to praise his teammates when they do well. He’s secure enough not having to push his teammates down to make himself better. It’s the coaches’ mistake to not use him properly (i.e. no Lin/Davis) and I have no doubt Lin will thrive somewhere else next season.

My #1 concern is if Lin fans start verbally attacking Clarkson in social media since it might put Lin at a difficult position in his relationship with Clarkson and other teammates. Our goal is to support Lin and that includes helping him to succeed by having team-oriented atmosphere that he always tries to promote. I just don’t want Lin to resent his well-meaning fans who try to protect him but end up putting him in a difficult situation. That would defeat our purpose to support him in his career. Just my 2cents.

  • John Lee

You seem to be missing a key concept: when Lin scores a bunch he’s usually a net positive in the +/- department, whereas when JC scores a bunch it’s usually a Lakers landslide quarter or blowout loss. Not only does JC not have the court vision and playmaking skills, he also does not understand, therefore is unable to organize team defense.

People here are NOT against JC solely because he scores a bunch. Kudos for the points. But what about the team? You mentioned “teamball” in your post, which is a key part of Lin’s game and sorely lacking in JC’s.

If the point is to just blindly praise anyone and everyone who got a lot of points regardless of impact on team, this place may as well be http://www.russellwestbrook.net or http://www.jamesharden.net, for those two, plus a bunch of others, can score way more than the coodled rookie who plays little to no D.

That being said, I do understand your point, and I’m also against attacks on the rookie. However, stating facts of the games shouldn’t be construed as such.

  • David Kim

According to ESPN’s Max Kellerman, Rondo will be signing with the Lakers this summer. Kellerman bases his information from a trusted source and broke the news on his radio show Max & Marcellus on 710 ESPN saying the following:

“As I heard from people who would know told me a couple months ago that [Rajon] Rondo is mortal, about a month ago, that Rondo is a mortal lock to sign with the Lakers.”

Kellerman went on to elaborate a bit on his comments and the source in which he heard it from, via 710 ESPN:

“Marcellus, when I first heard that Rondo was coming to L.A., which he is, it was about a month ago and a friend of mine who knows, who is in the business, said it is a mortal lock that the Lakers will sign Rajon Rondo. I’m not going to mention his name, but it is a very reliable source who has his ear to the ground.”

    I hope this is true.
    Lin to Mavs
    Rondo to Lakers

  • John Lee

    My wishes for next year:

    1. Jeremy finds a team that appreciates his talents and gives him a fair shake without hidden agenda.
    2. BS and Kobe both return with the addition of Rondo.
    3. Jeremy completely and mercilessly destroys the Lakers, makes the playoffs while Lakers have another sorry season.
    4. Oh, and Jim Wus…I mean Buss gets the boot from Jeanie in his rear.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Nothing wron with praising anyone on this site but because this lin’s supported site so anyone that’s used by haters to marginalize lin will be exposed.

  • CJSHYY

I think Rondo sure wants to sign w Lakers but if Lakers is mortal lock to sign him then why BS will say we maybe don’t need to sign starting PG in offseason? (When talked about how good JC is….) I really think BS means NO needs to have Lin….

Ya! I believe if no Lin then Lakers will go after Rondo for sure.

  • webattorney

Plus/Minus stats not helpful IMO. I have seen many games where Lin played well but his Plus/Minus stats was not good. Yesterday, the entire Lakers played badly.

  • joyce ward

Let’s keep it real, you can back to the other site with your drama, because you are the biggest mess make over there. I have lurked over there at times and this is your MO.BTW, the only team mates that have been decent to lin on the court consistently has been davis. So that dog don’t hunt here.

  • joyce ward

Nobody is attacking any of the Lin’s team mates on this site. There seems to be a double standard here at times. We can say things Like lin is playing like crap and all of the lin critics(not real lin fans) jump on the bandwagon right away and allowed to voice their opinion, but me(others) who really could care less about any other Laker on that team except for lin. When I and many say we don’t want to hear the accolades of other team mates who have been handed the keys to the kingdom. If you are given the keys, you will always to well because they play to your strengths. So when it becomes a level playing field for Lin in the NBA, then we can talk.

  • CJSHYY

I think you got a very good point on +/- issue about JC. To me he is a good shooter for now. Don’t think he is a good PG at all. If not for Kobe tried everyone to replace Lin then JC would not have the chance to be so free on court. Took 20 shots last night? Lin never did that in Lakers… but since BS tried to let him pad his stats so whatever he did on court it’s fine. Once Lin is not in Lakers, JC will back to a normal rookie again. All focus will be on Rondo & Kobe.

  • joyce ward

The bottom line to me is that I don’t care about any of the laker players except for Davis who has always been decent to lin on the court. When it becomes a level playing field for Lin in the NBA, then we can talk.

  • JoeTeam

  • JoeTeam

Let’s hit the nail on the head here – I have no problem with JC being praised for good plays, but when fans here border on the trolling by saying how well he’s playing bball over and over and over again (and I say over and over again and again), just because he’s allowed to score a lot, then that’s not bball fandom or even fair. I mean, scoring at the cost of your team being down 30? He should bearing down as a team lead at PG to get the game in contact at least, like focusing on team play so first it can be down 20, then down 10, then try your best. NBA should not be about getting 18-22 odd points on a blowout loss, and as acbc said, it is just trading points for stats.

On the other hand, JLin won EVERY Linsanity game and how dramatically – everyone scored and he took a team really in need of wins to the playoffs.

There you go, I have no problem with the reaction to the overtones of JClark worship here if those posts ignore all semblances of winning basketball teamwork. It’s not about getting stats – EVERY game is a team game, simply because fans come to see a good basketball game. What LAL are doing is promoting indiv highlights to keep fans there, but fans are being cheated of a great basketball team.

  • JoeTeam

2 hrs later, we agree. lol. Can’t stand the indirect trolling here. That’s the only thing left. JC scored points, but he was a big fail at PG because the team was down by over 30 at times while he was being the man. That’s not good pro sports … just try that on the niners, and the fans will rip the FO apart.

  • CJSHYY

What? What BS tried to say? I really don’t get it?

  • Spot

  • Brent Yen

    #shotsfired..

  • tin3ytina

yup… i guess we’ll find out who will “outlast” the other. i say young. byron will be out in a year or two.

  • JoeTeam

psalm, I disagree with the JC praise from last night for 2 reasons:

    1. over and over and over and over again and again, on a day that JLin was feeling like crap and it took until the end when ppl posted he was asking for medication coming off the floor. That sequence was borderline trolling.

    2. JC losing by over 30 and scoring individually is NOT good bball play, esp if he’s the PG (quarterback). Ppl hold Kap accountable when the niners started losing. The coach got axed. The overpraising of JC had ZERO bball IQ, given LAL is trying to lose and letting JC play his wild indiv game.

    3. JLin won those Linsanity games. The 38 on Portland (?) where he was held out of the end game and they lost – that was competitive. Last night was no competitive because JLin was sick and JC was not in control of the team.

So, the disagreement with those posts were NOT based on over fanatic fandom, but actually knowing how team sports and bball games flow and work. JC was actually contributing to the spread abdicating his role as the guy to bring the team in contact when the top guy JLin was dog sick.

    There you go, just MHO.

  • blubell

    from the tank commander…

  • CJSHYY

Smh! I guess if Young didn’t come out to say sorry about that celebration act like Hill, he sure can’t play in Lakers uniform again.

  • I don’t think Lin fans here are aggressively attacking Clarkson or other teammates compared to other places. And I’m thankful for that.

I have no problems stating the truth that Lakers gave a lot of minutes and support to help Clarkson succeed, while Lin was unfairly sabotaged (i.e. no Lin/Davis due to Kobe ego/BScott incompetency)

As for Lin fans who are Christians, I thought Jesus taught in the Beatitudes (Matt 5:9) that we are called to be peacemakers “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God”

I don’t want it to be a dividing issue among Lin fans so I think it’s important to focus and be united on our common ground more than some differences:
    1. Lin is not given a fair chance to be successful in LA
    2. Lin will find the best team whose coach/GM/owner give him the best chance to succeed in the NBA
    3. We will support Lin no matter what happens because he inspired us with the values (perseverance, humility, work ethic, charitable, etc.) that he promotes on and off-court

My hope is this or any other issues won’t be a dividing issue among Lin fans since Lin needs our support the most in this tough time 🙂

  • JoeTeam

Yes, even you are sometimes hard on Lin so I believe this site is always fair and continues to go toward what is fair.

Last night I knew Lin was v sick and it took until the end to know he wanted meds. I noted it, that Lin was playing like crap, and someone misunderstood me to be on Lin. But really, I meant to say he’s really sick, man. I mean, he really had good moments of trying, but when he got very open, his shots were about 1 ft off hitting the front of the rim. And those first FTs? A true Lin follower knew immediately.

So anyway, I was against the subtle digs by the overpraise of JC, even if the posters are real lin fans, because really, you could tell Lin was sick so why overpraise someone else while knocking Lin? Why kick Lin when he’s down?

That’s all, I’m just going for the heart.

  • hm, perhaps I was missing how JC praises were done last night.
Let me read through the posts to understand it further

  • joyce ward

No it means if Rondo is signed, Clarkson will backing up Kobe as SG.LOL

  • Brent Yen

I am already done explain why JC is a SG…lol

  • JoeTeam

But last night was all about overpraise of JC, repeatedly, when it was clear JLin was sick as a dog. It’s quite ok to politely refute that on bball terms, and it’s quite ok today to refute indirect false narratives about that discussion. We don’t need to go to 100k ft and get the vision of it or the culture here adjusted; we’re just talking about a night when JLin was sick and some posts seemed to indirectly go form something else.

Look, I don’t care if JC scores 51 like Harden. Both to me are not good team players, so let JC become Harden for all I care. That’s not good bball. Did you read that MJackson said Harden should be MVP because he brought Rox to this point singlehandly? Ha ha, wait until POs. It should be Curry, because he’s doing the sidelong jiggle to celebrate his teammates AND taking his team to the whole enchilada.

This site should be about bball greatness too, psalm. Never false narratives.

  • JoeTeam

you’re the best. This is the entire subtext of the OP.

  • JoeTeam

there you go again, saying in tweet limits what we all take books to say ha ha.

  • JoeTeam

The difference is when Lin scores like crazy, the game is winnable or close or won by that scoring. JC was just padding and doing his own thing at the expense of the fans, the game, and the team.

  • JoeTeam

now there’s a good convo thread. I won’t be watching LAL except with against Lin, or GSW, so I guess I’ll miss the ‘education of JC”.

  • orLinaryjoe

Lol, my wife said he speaks with a black accent during postage interviews. I didn’t notice that until she pointed it out. He should be his normal self.

  • Spot

BS: “if we get the guys we want in free agency then Young got a challenge next year…”

So nothing to worry about Nick

  • tin3ytina

all of your points are valid. in this lost season, JC is not playing defense, but just making his name known through offense. if he does this during a season that matters, he will be widely criticized.
but psalm234 is also stating that there’s a lot of people on social media (twitter and lakers feeds) that put down JC and verbally attack him, which can cause tension between the two teammates. also doesn’t look good for jlin because people indirectly start to hate the player due to his fans. we all just want what’s best for jlin!

  • Sunny Sullenberger

I am with Byron on this. Byron said Nick Young is a one-trick pony (shoot, shoot, and shoot more). He has to improve his skills (passing, pnr, etc). That said, I think Bryon should talk to Young in person. Well, Byron is Byron.

  • joyce ward

Don’t think he is saying that at all. Young is going to be trade bait.

  • CJSHYY

I think so too. Kobe didn’t want him stay in Lakers.

  • tin3ytina

yeah i agree with him too. but byron’s so cold! he should probably address this to young and not the media. makes nick young look so bad…

  • joyce ward

That is his normal self. Lin was speaking like that when he was at Golden State. It is not a black accent, it is the black slang that he uses. Lin listens to Lecrae who is a Christian rapper.

  • blubell

You should listen to his interview during Linsanity days. It was heavy 🙂 He really toned it down and I don’t think does it as much anymore.

  • JoeTeam

I noticed that during Linsanity. No PA raised Chinese American talks like that. But I think during Linsanity, a Grantland writer (asian) wrote that young Asian Americans use the rap identity to get some of their own, probably because our culture isn’t very boastful. However, I think that’s fools gold, because no matter what culture you come from, if you speak softly and carry a big stick, you win in the long run. So, yeah, I noticed the accent too, and I think it’s affected and he will outgrow it sometime. But some of it is also being immersed. Like, I picked up a weird British lilt to my CA english when I spent 6 weeks working in London once.

  • Spot

    Possibly. Probably.

He extended for cheap to stay in LA but things change so fast…

Anyway don’t think they’ll sign some star. Maybe love if the rumor of westbrook and love in LA is true…

  • joyce ward

As I posted below, lin has more of a black slang rather than a “black accent”. It’s called urbonics.

  • JoeTeam

Yeah, I guess I don’t go for attacking JC. I just want to talk about good bball games, and he wasn’t it last night.

Now, his 2 winning FTs? That to me was uninformed choices at best. I mean, if LAL is to get anything out of this season, losing 2 to PHI would have assured the consolation. JC was just unaware of the big picture, and I knock him for that too. What’s 2 FTs over a career. Sometimes you have to gracefully retreat to advance, and sometimes a team needs you to retreat. That’s team ball.

  • tin3ytina

well.. if you’re around a certain group of people a lot, the accents/language/tone start to rub off on each other. i don’t think he’s trying on purpose to talk like that.

  • joyce ward

Someone posted up above that Max Kellerman got it from a creditable source that Rondo is a lock to sign with the Lakers.

  • joyce ward

No Scott makes himself look bad.

  • JoeTeam

Yep, used it myself but I’m older now so I’ve lost my verbal riffing skills 🙂

  • Brent Yen

Please~ this has to happen…I wanna see what will be the result…lol

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Can’t wait for exit interview from BS to players…. sure will be another drama again.

  • tin3ytina

yeah. don’t get me wrong. i don’t care for JC at all. he has shown that he can score well and get some easy assists. so stat wise, he looks really good right now. i honestly don’t believe he can lead a team to many victories, but may be a pretty good bench player. i’m only assuming right now though. i’m gonna fully judge him next season when he’s not a rook anymore. i try to go easy on the rooks because they have less experience.

  • Brent Yen

He has not shown that yet. Wait for few more seasons then we will see…lol

  • JoeTeam

Running to the scene of an accident? Rondo I mean lol …

  • JoeTeam

I actually see JBrown as a more disciplined player, but maybe not as good athletically and at the 3.

  • tin3ytina

exactly. it’s premature to say JC is superstar material or a complete bust right now. he’s still growing, that’s for sure. but, we’ll find out next year.

  • JoeTeam

He needs better rookie rails, because he’s getting bad habits under BSc.

  • Brent Yen

I think if that happens TWC sportsnet will change to TWC DramaNet

  • joyce ward

Also, my boss is from Kentucky and she has been living in LA for 15 years and she still sounds like she just stepped off the plane from Kentucky.LOL

  • tin3ytina

that’s why… i wish he would get fired… but, who knows. maybe JC needs a BS type coach to thrive. compatibility works in strange ways

  • Brent Yen

Maybe not next yr…if somehow he does not get those minutes anymore

  • tin3ytina

love JBrown. he also comes with a huge chip on his shoulder. hope all the best for him!

  • JoeTeam

You’re prob right, it’s using the slang. JLin has been ballin’ his whole life so I’m sure he’s had some tough street pickups where he was able to smoke it and bond with everyone on local/home court terms. Me, I’m not that good so I could never go to any court and get a game going. To be that good, you have to fit in with all comers.

  • Brent Yen

Too bad his effort is bad….

  • joyce ward

It will happen, Laker fans stopped buying tickets, and Laker fans won’t stand another tanking season, so they have to bring in a”big name” to sooth the masses.LOL

  • JoeTeam

yeah, he has it. I saw him go into himself when Lin was telling him what to do on the court, and the reason why I say he has more discipline than JC was the very next play, where it was clear JLin was directing him hard and he turn around and rolled his eyes, he kicked out to Lin for a bricked 3. So, that I saw as discipline, even if he didn’t like Lin’s directions. That also confirms your chip, dunno what made you see it.

  • tin3ytina

oh is it?? i never noticed.. usually focused on lin and/or the bigs standing around confused.

  • joyce ward

I bet hi little brother talks like that too. LOL

  • Brent Yen

He usually jogged back for transition D. He is more focused on getting the ball to shoot now. This is just one example how badly BS is influencing rookies.

  • I just read through the comments and that’s true that the praises on JC needed to be balanced with the fact that his coach gave him 100% freedom including not playing good D to support the agenda of “next great PG”

Plus too many negative comments of Lin when he was not doing well due to his recovery.

Game Thread can definitely be emotionally charged so I understand it can be difficult.

If I didn’t have conflict yesterday to watch the game, I would have no problems saying the truth “JC played quite well but he was allowed to play not much D to support Lakers BScott propaganda”

This is a Lin fan site so I hope majority of posts would be to support Lin first and foremost 🙂

  • joyce ward

Kobe/scott will have their hands full when Rondo explodes on them.LOL

  • tin3ytina

yeah.. i agree. the defense has been bad lately. maybe BS told the rooks to just go get their points since that’s all that matters right now. i blame this more on coaching.. if scott wasn’t happy about defense, he would let it be known to them. but seeing that they are not changing their ways, it seems like BS is not overly concerned either. just an assumption.

  • CJSHYY

I hope they get Rondo bc I can’t wait for mess season from Lakers next season. LOL!

  • JoeTeam

Young Asian Americans take on all kinds of talk because our parents just talk one way and say work hard, keep it on the down low. So we weren’t taught to speak up for ourselves, so we take on other voices.

That will change with more migration from mainland China – this generation now parents … they grew up in the 1 child policy, so they had 4 grandparents and 2 parents all serving them. They know how to speak up and get what they want. As an HR person, you can see how ppl are raised really shape them as adults.

  • JoeTeam

    youtube at 11 …

  • Brent Yen

Kudos to Mark Jackson pointing out how Lin did not give up the play and he implied LAL did not put out the best lineup to compete. The reason why LAL is difficult to watch really is not all about offense. The way they give up on small things is more frustrating to me. Lin never gave up those. Although doing small things does not “please” ppl, even his fans.

  • joyce ward

    🙂

  • tin3ytina

lin’s always been a team player, doing anything he can to win (not to stat pads). this year has been so horrible for him… it’s so sad to see him trying so hard when his teammates don’t care though.

  • JoeTeam

    sync

“… his coach gave him 100% freedom including not playing good D to support the agenda of “next great PG”

… or just the agenda of lose by looking like you are a winner.

I believe that JC is out there encouraged to freelance to ensure the loss, so I’m not knocking JC. I just want bball to be called right so we can be smarter fans.

sad fans don’t get what is right for the game and the team. Money and power involved … GSW for now is being run for bball reasons. Hope it lasts a long time.

  • orLinaryjoe

That’s what I told wife. Work or shop talk. I listened to him in interviews with Chinese media, the accent was not there though.

  • CJSHYY

That’s the FO response to BS’ bad mouth talk… But do Lin wants to come back? NO NO NO.

  • tin3ytina

    hahahah really?? that’s interesting….

  • Brent Yen

it is ok…not saying he will get his chance to shine. But really I would not bet against him….

  • Brent Yen

OTOH, given how limited JC is. If somehow a coach has to play him that much, I believe most coach will ask him just to shoot anyway

  • orLinaryjoe

Ok, maybe my terminology is not correct. Growing up in public school, I spoke with a similar urban tone, picking it up with those around me. Also cussed way too much imitating those around me cuz is was cool. My parents put a stop to that, and I grew outta of that. It’s the environment.

  • orLinaryjoe

    I remember. “Swag speak”.

  • orLinaryjoe

Lol, just saw my own post. Post game not postage.

  • TTNN

really quiet day today. Kind of strange that the team practiced longer than planned, and yet reporter only got to talk to the coach, and I think these recent days, reporters got quotes only from those rookies, not from any of the vets.

  • Brent Yen

    LOL….only 8 games…..hang in there

  • Brent Yen

Let’s 1st see how they fare in playoffs…

  • orLinaryjoe
  • orLinaryjoe

Yes, Best Record So far. Only counts in playoffs. My fingers crossed.

  • Brent Yen

Personally I do not think Mitch is that dumb, so I am kind of worried…lol

  • orLinaryjoe
  • CJSHYY

I don’t think it will happen unless Lin is not stay. Bc if the news it’s true then BS would not say no need to get starting PG this offseason… Rondo is the guy Kobe wants…

  • orLinaryjoe

Oh I don’t know, not quite exuding intelligence thus far. At least when dealing with Kobe and Lin.

  • Brent Yen

If he signs Rondo. I would assume it is not because of his intelligence, but other things.

  • orLinaryjoe

Looking more and more like Lin not staying. Only thing preventing this may be Kobe’s over inflated salary. Kobe and Rondo leaves nothing left. That would be fun.

  • orLinaryjoe

Yeah, catering to Kobe, and getting fans excited about something, while tank rolls on.

  • BobbyH

Away from this site for a few hours and I got this:

“Let’s keep it real, you can back to the other site with your drama, because you are the biggest mess make over there.”

This is what I am getting at. If opinions are not agreeable to your liking, is it OK to say to any poster like this? Where is positivity? Where is respect we advocate here?

Well, it is easy to label. But the whole point is we don’t tolerate different opinions, this forum is no different than CF. We can discuss, argue and make valid statements, but not like this. I made the same mistakes before asking trolls going away. But I realized we can do better as this is the forum to be different.

You can call me indrect troll or whatever, but I am here to stay. I won’t be driven away, like a decnt poster with good basketball knowledge that has been pushed away.

  • CJSHYY

I know Lin is unlikely will stay but if Rondo is coming … BS would not say no need to get PG for this offseason. Bc I think when BS said this statement last night. he means Lin since Kobe hates Lin.

  • webattorney

Agreed. One thing you should keep in mind is that since this site is private, the owners/operators can set the parameters.

  • orLinaryjoe

You got a point. We have to tolerate different opinions. Don’t like it, ignore. Offensive, flag, and sure 15 mods will kindly delete posts here.

  • Brent Yen

Well, no one is banning you. Totally different from CF…

  • BobbyH

I like your humor. If I am to be banned, well, I must say something nasty.

  • Brent Yen

Look…I totally get your pts. Let’s just try our best to be positive. I usually just agree to disagree. Negativities, while it exists, can be avoided in many ways. Just keep posting.

  • John Lee

Well BS never grew as a coach in over a decade, yet he’s still commander! LOL

  • deesee5

Welllll out of all those choices, I would vote for Lin too. Lol

  • John Lee

    BS. Nuff said.

  • webattorney

I guess he didn’t address that. As far as I am concerned, when you step on the court, you are healthy enough to play. Not many NBA players are 100% well.

  • deesee5

    I’m calling wcf.

  • Brent Yen

You do not think they will be in final?

  • MoominFloren

Shut up BS! You have to grow as a MAN (not a puppet) if you want to continue to coach in this league for a long time.

Oops I forget there are always teams would like to tank, your coaching record will be perfect for these teams. The Greatest Tank Master is job secured, and you could write the following books just in case you get fired:
    – 101 ways to tank
    – My secrets of The Worst Lakers Record in History
    – 101 ways to prevent Linsanity
    – Dummies for public speaking – how to speak confidently even you are speaking non sense
    – Kobe & I

  • MoominFloren

I just need 1 & . 2 will be nice for an entra entertainment with these 3 drama queens

  • Yascar

Lin is not staying. Clarkson will be their back up PG. BS said Clarkson’s performance is giving him pause about getting a starting PG. That means he’s really high on JC. Lin is leaving LAL.

  • BobbyH

I have full confidence that the owners/operators are rational persons with reasonable parameters.

  • JoeTeam

yes, and I don’t mind if SAS makes a good run.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Rondo is the player who Kobe wants to extend his own max contracts.

  • JoeTeam

yep for LAL, it’s a confluence of needing the minutes on an injured team and that they want to mess up teamwork toward a win. It’s as ppl and you have said, an ugly set of games to watch. So yeah, I guess everyone is right to an extent because it’s not really quality NBA ball so we might as well bring in opinions from street ball and horse lol.

  • JoeTeam

well, just be direct. If you feel that JC praise is fine and you disagree with Joyce, just say so. I don’t agree with you and I’ve laid out my points and you’re free to have your own opinion on JC even if you don’t agree with me.

If you want to complain about Joyce’s style, then say so to her in thread. This is more or less passive aggressive, and online, it doesn’t do any good. So, in itself this post is negative and you are part of the 2 hands that it takes to clap.

Just be straight, state your case, and be done with it. If someone slaps you, just address it there and don’t bring it up tomorrow unless you 2 cannot settle it.

So, let me ask – are you talking about the JC overpraise, or are you objecting to your convo with Joyce? If so, address her directly in thread, that’s all I’m saying, if you want to be positive.

  • JoeTeam

I think the team gets addition sub $10m, above $5m to get to 2nd round. That’s a lot of mullah.

  • Acbc

It’s really adaptation to suit the situation. When I was a teen, I talked like a street thug because that’s how the kids talked. Language is all about communication and the way you interact is all about how you identify yourself in relations with that group. If the adaptation is done to be respectful, then there shouldn’t be a problem with it. It’s when people who don’t have the sensitivity to it that problems arise.

  • John Lee

That’s already 12 games too many. (Jeremy sick)

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott is desperate and he certainly hates to be blown up by the Clippers who have every reason to prove that they are the team of LA. However the not so tough coach Byron Scott has already antagonized almost everyone who could help him win a game from the mighty Clipper. It’s going to be an interesting match up. This is also the golden opportunity for the Clipper to take over the town.

Throwing Jordon Clarkson to Chris Paul is going to be fun to watch. Is JC as good as Byron claims to be. What the Clipper should do is to crush every hope of the Laker and dominate the Laker in every possible way. This is a game of the season. Byron Scott could keep his job if he at least lost this game respectably.

  • webattorney

I am sure they are, but every site has its own focus and culture. Even with CF site, I tried to respect its stated parameters or culture. So my approach is to say whatever I feel like I have right to say on this site until this site’s Operators tell me otherwise. So should you.

By the way, I think JC is playing well for a rookie and has definitely improved. I do like his confidence of being able to take more than 20 shots. Maybe that’s promising for a future SG.

  • BobbyH

Appreciate your input and you also made a valid point about my way of posting. You are right, I should be straight. It is not about JC playing. I will try my best not to be passive aggressive.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The next two games against the Clipper would have the weight to affect the decisions that Lakers has to made for Byron Scott. Lin certainly has a major part of it too. These two games are the most important games for this season.

  • Brent Yen

    Important, in terms of?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS’d better worry about his job than Nick’s job. The next 2 games are going to decide if he could coach anymore.

  • JoeTeam

You’re the best for making this a convo instead of just posting here and there like we often do … I get that way too, but this indeed is a comminuty. I think Joyce is ok, she just takes a disciplined line on things and it’s hard to read everything right. I like here style because I have family members who do not have any self-discipline and it makes life hard. It’s good to have a person with firm boundaries (that you can negotiate) around so you can have motion in this big soup of people :-). Have a good evening.

  • I’d like to commend everyone to be able to voice their opinions and handle the disagreement respectfully to the best of our ability. We are not perfect and we all have our good and bad days.

There was a line in “Everyone Loves Raymond” TV series finale that I remember; it says “We are family, we might be fighting and laughing a lot but all we need is Editing. We just need to edit out the bad parts and keep the good moments”

While we are not families and many may never meet one another in in our lifetime, we do spend extra ordinate amount of time to support Lin and what he represents so whether we want it or not, we’re like virtual families 🙂 So let’s edit out the bad parts by forgiving others and focus more on the positive moments. Life’s too short to be spent on getting mad, like I did with my boys. They drive me crazy at times but still won’t stop me to love them much 😀

Let’s focus our time to encourage Lin, values that he represents and fellow Lin fans in majority of the posts and time.
I truly believe Jeremy represents a lot of good values that are worth supporting in today’s society.

Have a great weekend to you and your loved ones =)

  • JoeTeam

I think I witness the day you got banned from CF it was fun, no? I think you got fed up and did it on purpose. It think that was you, good job. Personally, I disdained DH so much I never signed up.

  • Brent Yen

    All hail @psalm234:disqus

  • Hail Brent-sanity!
    🙂

  • At least Lin still won the TWCSN Poll of who Lakers fans want him to come back at 49.81%, although he most likely won’t come back 🙂

    https://twitter.com/TWCSportsNet/status/584481702199881728

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott could not tank anymore in the next two games against the Clipper. HIs favourite player JC would have to go through an acid test.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Nick will then be traded.

  • Here’s the snapshot if you don’t want to visit the site =)
Lin & Davis basically got 77% of the votes!

  • CJSHYY

I think BS wants to loss bc he wants to keep his draft pick. The rival story doesn’t matter now since they are only 3 games behind Magic. Don’t believe he wants to win.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Obviously Byron Scott has made the unpopular decision trying to keep both from coming back.

  • joyce ward

    Got it;)

  • I’m glad Jason from Aussie finally got Lin’s signature.
But I’m not so sure how his wife feels about the “you made my honeymoon” comment! LOL

    https://twitter.com/jas83j/status/584167571290656768

  • next year when both Lin/Davis are making ESPN highlights, Lakers fans will call for him to get fired 🙂

  • Brent Yen

LOL…..I guess that’s the reason why he suddenly disappeared from twitter….:P JK

  • BobbyH

Who knows, maybe don’t need to wait that long. Wait for the coming June.

  • JimmyBuckets

    jerry needs to come back

  • I mentioned a small wish in May-June, to see pictures Lin/Davis chilling with MDA at one fishing trip in Orlando. Is that too much to ask? =)

  • hehe… Honeymoon DogHouse term might be invented LOL

  • Kwok Wai Lai

These 2 games are must wins for Laker. At least they wouldn’t tank because they have to look respectable but the Clipper is not going to let Laker escape from disastrous defeats.

  • BobbyH

One of the reasons I like this forum is that we have a great administrator that pulls people from straying from the principles.

    Hat tipped.

  • Brent Yen

He had another tweet using his wed vid screen grab as a meme…lol Not sure what his wife would think either. Good luck, Jason

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Laker City or Clipper City!

  • Brent Yen

Jared Jeffries will hook them up…..in Den…..hehe

  • orLinaryjoe

At least this is not from his wife. Even more akward.

  • Rick Johnson

That would be great summer fishing boat picture Jared Jeffries / JLin / Davis / D’Antoni. Parson’s can come too for recruiting purposes.

  • JimmyBuckets

twitter is deceiving people actually love Lin

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Enough of BS & KB. Can’t wait for the season to be over. Counting:
    7 Games
11 days to end the season (JLin and fans are out of Lakers jail:-)
    86 days to FA.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Can’t wait for 7 games to end now. I really don’t like Lakers. smh!

  • Brent Yen

    Yes Ma’am!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Agreed. Getting very old with BS antics. ABJ to the extremes. Nothing to add:-)

  • Brent Yen

Rondo hurt his knee? M….please stay healthy

  • CJSHYY

What? I hope he is OK. Don’t worry if he can’t play for few games Kobe still loves him. LOL!

  • Brent Yen

    Hyperextended knee…

  • CJSHYY

    So it’s really bad? I hope not…

  • Brent Yen

IDK…did not see what happen. Just so happen that I tuned to MAV game, and announcers are talking about it.

  • Brent Yen

    Univ of K lost…..

  • Acbc

Experts never take into account on mental skills as an ability. This is why I keep saying Lin could be a top 5 player of the NBA. It took a long time for Lebron to learn to win AND it took 2 other franchise players to help him get there. Lin meanwhile has always been clutch in the forth and so mentally tough to make important shots when needed.

  • Brent Yen

Yet, he is treated like a bench warmer..

  • tin3ytina

    So crazy..

  • Brent Yen

    CrackUnderPressure…

  • Acbc

Again I remind people that the anger we feel is being manipulated by the “reality show” called the Lakers Tanking. FO creates the rules of the reality game and BS is the host of the event. Just like all reality shows, there are those who are set up to win and those who are set up to be the bad guys.

We can safely say that under “normal” situations of an NBA team actually trying to win, you’d never have the ridiculous lineups where a rookie gets to shoot selfishly. Clarkson is a tool by the games masters to incite emotions in the viewing audience to create drama and ratings. That’s how reality TV works. In the case of the Lakers, it’s not to get ratings but to generate losses.

Don’t let people manipulate your emotions into focusing on the parts when it’s the key masters that you need to focus your anger at.

  • Freedoooom! #BraveheartStyle
Thanks for keeping count on how many days Lin and we will be freed :]

  • true, some of us witnessed firsthand how popular Lin is at Staples Center.
It’s too bad politics will prevent LinsanityInLA from happening.

  • Rick Johnson
  • JimmyBuckets

Jim and Jeanie need to grow up they cant still be fighting and put family business as risk
they might still think they will turn it around
this isnt how the Lakers should be
they are making the same mistake the rockets made with Yao
shouldve cut Yao 2 years earlier same with Kobe
they are a disgrace to the Lakers history

  • CJSHYY

I hope no one do it. LOL! Looks like FO still love this lousy guy. smh!

  • Acbc

The game being played by the Lakers isn’t basketball anymore. It’s a political game called tanking. This fact blurs the lines of reasoning and logic in appraising performances. Normally when a player makes last second points for wins like Clarkson did in 2 games, he’d be celebrated as a hero, but this clearly isn’t the case! We are all comparing apples to oranges and drawing our conclusions or merit based upon what we believe is the rules of the games being played.

Clearly the rules being played by the Lakers is very different than those of any NBA team trying to win a playoff position. The lakers are in fact trying to “win” a position in the lottery poll.

Some Lin fans mix these two sets of rules and morph them into a hydrid set of merits. There are those who wants Lin to take the Clarkson role of chucker for baskets because they want Lin to stat pad. This of course could never happen because unlike most other NBA players, Lin ALWAYS leads his team to victory if given the opportunity to run the team. The key words is “run the team”. When Lin scores over 25 points, he also elevates his teammates to do equally well. Lin therefore can never be allowed to lead the team because the Lakers want to play by the second set of rules called “winning the lottery poll”.

Clarkson meanwhile actually helps the Lakers “win” the lottery poll becasue he scores while diminishes the ability of the rest of the Lakers to score.

The real culprit is the Lakers FO and BS trying to confuse the fans into blurring the lines of “winning” basketball by pretending that they aren’t trying to tank. It’s in this way that they can use Clarkson as a “bright” prospect trying to ( really ) win, when in fact they are using Clarkson to not win.

It’s this type of deliberate blurring of the lines of the rules of the game that confuses fans into misjudging the merit or true value of a player.

A lot of Lin fans get upset by the false rules and especially the false narratives from BS and FO. The problem is that they direct it at the pawn and not the Kings. I pity Clarkson becasue he is being taught to play the game the wrong way and it could threaten his future development as a player.

Lin fans, please direct your anger at the cause of the bad play instead of the players themselves. The blurred lines of good or bad is to confuse all of us into believing that the Lakers are actually trying to win games instead “winning” lottery polls.

  • Briiick

Seems like LAL are going to sign Rondo and possibly Love in the summer to form a new BIG 3. Hopefully they can sell tickets without winning.

  • tin3ytina

    LOL! That’s pure torture.

  • CJSHYY

Kobe said he doesn’t want Love to come bc they have Randle. Love also said he doesn’t want to come to Lakers. Rondo is the only player wants to come bc his market value is down now.

  • HeroBallerJL

I wouldnt do that if u paid 12k. I probably complain to him the whole dinner on how much he sux.

  • Brent Yen

I probably will just eat the expensive dinner, and hoping the drinks can be refilled……

  • JoeTeam

yep, ppl can really blend in well and we need to to do well in different situations.

  • JoeTeam

he he 6 rich Lin fans to bbq BSc. Or even better, Lin buys all 6 seats and sends his posse. Yeah, don’t go yourself, just send your friends.

  • JoeTeam

LOL, epic honeymoon trips and gaffes.

  • JoeTeam

oh, my Kentucky lost. Easy walk for Duke I guess.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL That’s my way to cope with being JLin fan–hard to witness what he has gone thru each day.

  • You hit the nail on the head. That’s why this tanking scenario is devastating to not just NBA game quality but also for players development.

Amidst tanking, they have to create this “promising rookie” scenario to give hope for the fans buying the tickets although defense is not being emphasized.

You are correct that we are watching a charade of tanking while fans happily pay for this WWF-like shows. NBA needs to fix it but for our sake, I hope Lin will never go to any tanking teams anymore. I feel like we’re wasting our precious time to decipher the mess of this tanking business

  • Brent Yen

    Well….you never know.

  • The latest Grantland article did a nice job to show what makes Jeanie Buss tick, trying to preserve his late dad’s legacy by keeping Kobe and Jim Buss. But she’s running the risk of destroying the franchise in the process. It’s really too bad.

My best scenario for Lakers and Lin would be to wait until Kobe retires for good and Lakers will pursue Lin again in 2-3 years after Linsanity rises again in another team.

  • the faithful will certainly be rewarded :]
Happy Easter! He’s risen and will raise Linsanity again for His sake 🙂

  • Kwok Wai Lai

To me there are only 4 games left; the series against the Clippers and the series against Sacramento Kings.
Both teams are desperate to win. Lakers will lose big if they tank.

  • JoeTeam

and the irony is the just had the WWF championships at Levi’s stadium and it was as big as a Super Bowl. Big sports … it gives rise to the SAS as in Steven A … yuk.

  • JoeTeam

    Indeed, captain.

  • LAJane

Whatever you think of Nick Young, this truly ugly, unnecessary snipe from Scott says everything about what a mean-spirited small human he is. No need to be so nasty in public. It seems unless he’s busy trying to damage someone then he just doesn’t know how to live or breathe.

  • LAJane

I noticed that long ago. I’m sure it’s because that is the language of the court. You start learning it on the playground and by the time you’re trading friendly insults with NBA teammates the lingo and accent are as natural as swimming to a fish.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. However, I doubt he talks that way to his mom. 🙂

In all seriousness, I’d rather be eating expired Taco Bell next to a gas station restroom. BS is so disgusting that the mere thought of eating with him is repulsive enough to cause the gag reflex.

Maybe, and that’s a huge maybe, if they paid ME 12K. Preschool in HK is costing me a lot.

  • K. P. Chan

I actually feel that Jeremy cherishes these games. He is taking every step of his journey as a gift from a higher being. He treasures it, learns from it He is at peace and his mind is clear of the distractions all around him.

  • K. P. Chan

Hahaha! That’s a sweet girl and supportive partner for life. Jason was tweeting all night with us while Catherine was with him at the game. Hope he took a break from us and gave her a kiss. Lol!

  • adele

Just love your passion for LinJoe team. YoYou’re putting down my thoughts in your blogs.

  • LIVYRLIFE

“He got his stats and he got the L, as always,” Booker said.

“After Enes Kanter trashed the Utah Jazz organization and Salt Lake City prior to last weekend’s return to Utah, he put up 18 points and 11 rebounds in a game the Jazz won by five points.

Following the game, Utah forward Trevor Booker threw a skyscraper’s worth of shade his former teammate’s direction in a postgame radio interview. ‘He got his stats and he got the L, as always,’ Booker said.”

So I can relate Booker’s statement to one of Jeremy’s team mates and I hope he doesn’t get his head too big like Kanter who duly rewarded a loss by his former team in the recent match.

  • grover chang

I don’t get it. He got Lin signature. Wouldn’t his wife be ecstatic?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Just hope Lin will flourish till the end. In the last 2 games, he wasn’t himself and was not helping his next season.

  • grover chang

Kobe should be rewarded for his service. 5 championship don’t fall in your lap. Just should not try to appease him so much. Mitch has picked up good pieces. Even in the past, don’t blame him getting Nash and Howard either. The biggest mistakes have been coaching: Brown, mda, not Phil Jackson, bs, but those choices are all Jim buss.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Rewarding Kobe at the cost of the rest of the team is insane.

How about the fans who pay to watch the games these 2 season. They have been cheated.
Kobe got enough reward financially; he is just too greedy to pull down the team and kicked out his teammates like Shaq and D12.

Each year is a new year. Kobe didn’t get the championship all by himself and it seems to me that you’ve given more credit to him than he deserves. Kobe should have retired because he couldn’t deliver any more. He’s hurting the team. That’s unforgivable. Kobe is not the team.

5 championship doesn’t give him the right to do everything on the court. That’s ridiculous. Look at Tim Duncan. If Kobe is a little like him, Laker would not be like now. Kobe has already been rewarded more than he deserves.

Come to senses and start in the right direction is what Laker should do. Forget about your championship and remember that Laker is one of the worst teams in NBA.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Gregg Popovich and Mike Budenholzer has shown the league the right way of playing basketball. The Spurs and Atlanta do not dwell on superstars. They play basketball the right way.
Byron Scott is the worst. Old school coaches like McHale and Scott should all be fired.
Does it happen to Laker that they are moving in the wrong direction. Laker fans should revolt and stop going to the games.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Forget it. This is a disgustingly low coach with a pathetic record in NBA history.
His little success are from his super PGs Jason Kidd and Chris Paul which have nothing to do with him. BS has lost more games than any coach in NBA. He is best counterexample in team rebuilding.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Again, tomorrow’s game is going to special for Jeremy Lin. He better shows up with good stats. He shouldn’t play if he’s not well. Playing in the last 2 games is totally unacceptable for his next season’s contract. He must end well and I doubt if Byron Scott will give him the chance. Pray that Lin can regain his form before sickness. This upper respiratory sickness has killed some chances for Lin to look for a job next season.

  • K. P. Chan

I wouldn’t worry about that. HCs and GMs know he’s playing with illness, and what he can do when he’s healthy.

  • BobbyH

Personally I think Lin’s agent(s) did a great job, landing the TAG Heuer gig and with Adidas ads promotion. These companies are investing in Lin. They have a business development team (I think) that understands the dynamic of NBA. I believe they know what is cooking in NBA. If they do, I believe most of NBA GMs/Coaches know what Lin can bring to the table.

Lin has nothing to prove at this point other than doing his best ending the season with high note. Just wish Lin stay healthy and play what he is given.

  • Acbc

    Good weight lost program. Lol

  • Acbc

He’s a hero without a country….kinda like most asians in real life.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The next few games are crucial to Jeremy. Because teams are watching and see if Jeremy is worth a guaranteed contract for years.

  • Acbc

KOBE may have won 5, but he could have won easily 8 or even 10 had he not been such an ego maniac. He blew up the Shaq led team so that he could be the top dog. Kobe would not allow MDA, NASH or Howard to play up to their potentials to win another ring when all the experts had already pencilled them in as the champs.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boston Celtics gave up Rondo and many others. They are back in the 8th spot of the playoff picture right now. The success of rebuilding of the Celtics reflect the dismal effort of Lakers rebuilding with Kobe and possibly Rondo next season. Boston has started on new foot and LA Laker sinks with old bodies, old school and coaches.

  • BobbyH

I don’t know. Other than teams that still fight for playoff spots, those teams will rest and play the rookies.

Maybe I am wrong. But I don’t think 7 games can prove anything (except the 2 games against Clippers that proves to LA Lin can stay – which I doubt Lin will with BS there.)

  • Kwok Wai Lai

All is well ends well. A player can’t finish well does not deserve a guarantee contract. Lin has already had the understanding of Linsanity Prime and he just needs to implement what he knows instead of forcing things. He can do it and he only has himself to be accountable.

Make things happen instead of making excuses! go Jeremy.

  • kittyhead

At least Lakers just found their future cornerstone called JC to build around. With Kobe, Rondo, JC, Radle, Hill, maybe Love playing together next year, I think they have a good chance to make playoffs!

  • kittyhead

I dont think the last tanking games matter so much unless Lin could keep scoring more than 30 points or sth like this…lol However BS wont give him the chance (wont allow ED to play with him) ,and the worst part is Lin still has to play off-ball sg next to their future cornerstone.

  • CJSHYY

No, I think they will build around their future w the new draft guy this summer. BS said JC will build w not around. I am really hoping that Rondo will be the one w them next season.

  • kittyhead

I read some posters said Lakers is likely to offer him max money and build around him acc. to LA Times article? Dont want to click it though… I’m kinda shocked if this is true. It’s like point guards playing with Lin could get max money or become a starting point guard in NBA easily…lol

  • CJSHYY

Who? JC? Haha! They don’t even want to offer Rondo the max contract yet. If you watch the game you know his good stats all bc they gave him the tons of playing time w ISO a lot. These teams all put their focus on Lin …. I still think he is the trade asset bc just so “purpose” to let him do it to me. Anyway, I think JC just part of the tool to push Lin out of Lakers.

    Check MM article.

  • Acbc

If they can pay with 5 balls.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Sarcasm? I hope.

  • orLinaryjoe

Figured The same. Wondering if, like the hair, he is maturing, growing, and slowly showing his true self. Lol, things we chat about. P.S. tiger momma Lin would spank him if he brought that in the house, or think of a tattoo ;).

  • orLinaryjoe

    5 headed medusa?

  • Sophie Paris

Jlin will be back on top tonight. No worries ^^

  • Brent Yen

    on top of……?

  • GoodDayLA

you forgot top 5 pick…Okafor or Towns. Lakers will suck with Kobe trying too hard offensively. They will be 8-12 seed in West

  • Acbc

    I sure hope so.

  • GoodDayLA

    wisconsin more likely to win

  • GoodDayLA

jlin had adidas commercial show on espn? really surprised.

  • CJSHYY

Have a good stats night. 🙂 Only 7 games to go now. Ya!

  • CJSHYY

Ya! So happy to see Adidas do so much for him. I never saw anything from Nike before not in USA or Asia.

  • PPP

Im glad that some lin fans are so knowledgeable and considerate that they worried about lins next contract, or none, more than lin does if he doesnt do:

    this,
    this and,
    this.

As if they know better and smarter than what lin knows about the consequencies.

    Lin fans are great.

  • Brent Yen

So…..Lin’s new commercial is basically saying,
“Who cares how many championships (5) you got in the PAST? I am about today.” ?

    LOL

  • CJSHYY

I saw Lin, John Wall, & Lillard all do it. Hope more Lin’s fans do click youtube for Lin. Check below.

  • Brent Yen

    I already did. LOL

  • GoodDayLA

its great. No backup PG gets that ever. He is lucky. I hope Lin already has landed a verbal contract with another team behind the scenes.

  • GoodDayLA

    NOah

  • CJSHYY

I think he probably did during ASG break… just IMO.

  • GoodDayLA

Lakers are in shambles with sister and brother fighting. Also children who didn’t earn job put in place. never good. Lin should leave LA.

  • GoodDayLA

I think it was more recent..

  • CJSHYY

I think something happened during ASG break that’s why he changed his game to showcase for the team. Plus in his JLin.com, he changed the picture w Lakers jersey to ASG break… Just feel if not something happened he will not say something like this ” I found passion w BB game again.”- for just stayed in Hotel w snow in NY?! Don’t think so.

  • GoodDayLA

I don’t think we will see another great game from Jlin in a Laker uniform. He might get 15-18 points but nothing special like Sixer or Boston game at home. He did what he had to after all star break and he probably did enough to secure a decent contract this summer even if its only off the bench. The timing of Tag Hauer and now Adidas commercial is strange. It’s almost like trying to tell Lakers how great an opportunity Jlin is but I don’t think Lakers and Lin can work it out. And Lin should not stick around for Kobe titanic act next season. Even if Kobe gets hurt in preseason likely, Jlin cannot risk a repeat of this season again.

  • bolero

Los Angeles Lakers – Jeremy Lin is the Point Guard Jordan Clarkson Will Never Be http://t.co/Dho7l1YRLI— Sportige (@Sportige) April 5, 2015

  • GoodDayLA

Sportige has become a LOF. No mainstream credibility but I agree

  • Brent Yen

    Yep, really is BadDayLA

  • CJSHYY

    Haha! I agree. LOL!

  • Brent Yen

Of course Lin fans are great! lol

  • Sophie Paris

On the top of the world xD

  • GoodDayLA

I understand not appreciating me not saying 100% positive about Lin on this site. But I can’t be honest about Lakers? Have to say they are great too?

  • GoodDayLA

I’m not sure what happened. Maybe he did ask for a trade. Maybe his agents landed another team for him and Lakers would NOT release him. It is all possible.

  • Brent Yen

Do not get angry so quickly…lol My bad…I am just kidding around. I do not care Lakers now.

  • guest

Lin fans are great. No doubt. But some Lin fans suggest that Lin be a back up PG on certain teams. Didn’t we hear enough Lin saying that he aspires to be a starter, an ALL-Star, to win Championship? Lin fans should listen to Lin before they suggest anything however beneficial in their opinion.

  • BobbyH

Lin’s fans are unique in many ways. I doubt there is another fan group that is like Lin’s.

  • BobbyH

Yep, once Lin left NY, it changed from GoodDayNY to DoomDayNY

  • GoodDayLA

haha I understand people get mad at me here because I am harsh Lin critic. But I should be able to diss Lakers freely here! Haha

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • GoodDayLA

Kevin Love is leaving Cleveland. Sounds like NY or LA this summer for him. I think NYC more likely for him.

  • Brent Yen

Love is a guy you can build with, not around….lol

  • GoodDayLA

we all want lin to start. all lin fans.

  • GoodDayLA

many lin fans just trying to be realistic knowing Lin may not get opportunity or offer to start.

  • GoodDayLA

Love is not even as good as Ryan Anderson.

  • Brent Yen

    U r right about that.

  • GoodDayLA

see why guys like Love are propped up by NBA, I will never understand. (i have many theories) Honestly he was very good at UCLA. In NBA, he is ok and gets good stats and many rebounds, but just shoots 3’s.

Why he is MAX and “star” and Jlin is “scrub” is so frustrating.

  • Brent Yen

Well….He needs a system for him more than Lin does.

  • GoodDayLA

even Jlin couldn’t turn him into a star. Though Jlin could get him 10 WIDE open 3’s a game.

  • Brent Yen

I have not completely figured out why Love is like that tho. He obviously got talent to succeed. It just does not show…

  • Sophie Paris

    We like to speculate lol

  • GoodDayLA

I would still like to know why Lakers allows Jlin to show what he could do right after all star break. Remember his first interview, many reporters asked him his summer plans in first interview back and if he’d stay with Lakers after season. Something important must have happened. I really think Lin camp secured possible trade offers and Lakers denied all of them & told him he would not be traded PERIOD the more I think about it. And so they made some concessions to let Lin play more of his game as peace offering until Scott immediately shut it down on him after 5 games.

  • GoodDayLA

lack of ELITE NBA athleticism. There’s a reason he only shoots 3’s. Jlin has ELITE NBA speed and first step. Lacks the hops.

  • Brent Yen

Let’s say your assumption are true. Then it means FO are not on the same page as BS/KOBE. I personally does not think that is the case. I think Lin simply just became better in ASB.

  • Brent Yen

Zbo lack of it too. From the surface, the only thing I can conclude is he simply does everything but does not do well on a particular thing. He is destined to be a side kick.

  • GoodDayLA

but you have to admit it strange, 1st interview back from ASB, all questions about his future. It was very targeted.

Also, I still disagree with many fans here, even you Brent. Lin didn’t just become better. The Laker offense totally cater to him with PnR and ball in hand almost every play in a row. Lin thrives with this and Lakers allowed it those few games we saw.

Sure of course Lin played well, but my point is Lin will almost always excel when those things are in place. Without it, we see the results of the last game vs. Portland. If Lin had ball in hand and PnR against Portland, I have no doubt Lin would have put up 25 and 10 and 5 rbd. He needs the space, the ball, and the PnR.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

After the asb, lin played as a FU bs game. Despite off the bench he has the ball in his hands playing true pg with Davis who can screen and pnr.

BS now start lin with Clarkson playing spot up shooter or go alone. No team bb.

  • GoodDayLA

I think FO is trying to slyly keep Lin in LA as backup plan to Kobe if Kobe hurt himself in game 1-20 next season ike this season. They would like him as cheap backup plan, imho. They also like Lin just to sit on bench as Asian eye candy to fill seat even if Lin becomes LA bench warmer who plays 10 minutes. And they would pay him 5 million per to do that. I believe that is why they would be unwilling to let him go yet. Still trying to have cake and eat it too.

  • GoodDayLA

yes but you guys seem to believe Lin just demanded the ball or something. NO, BS and Lakers allowed Lin to dominate ball and use Pick and Roll and put Davis and right guys with Lin to space floor.

Lin didn’t magically create all that on his own.

Now we see BS and Lakers not allow Lin to do a thing. Just hide again in baseline 3 corner all game.

  • Brent Yen

I think what has happened was,
    1. Lin has cleared his mind
    2. He starts to set personal goals which is clear and achievable.
    3. He starts to call PnR more and use himself as 1st or 2nd option.

The good stretch simply was just stopped by BS and Kobe.

After BS made that PnR comment, Lin
    1 Maintained his new mindset,
2 called less PnR but still focused on things he could still do (production dropped).

I totally think Lin just changed his game strategy and saw the result.
So I think overall he is getting better. Uses his existing skills more efficiently.

Also another factor is the teams they faced right after ASB is easier.

  • PPP

Some have thought that lin already has a team agreed to sign him so lin said he is not worried about his contract.

But fact is no team can talk to him or his agent without the lakers permission or they risk a hefty fine, including draft picks, by the nba being tempering. Sure team can use their player, eg Parsons, to relay their interest of lin but that is far from a guarantee.

    Am i wrong?

  • GoodDayLA

also I think J Clarkson friend, family, trainers, etc. have told Clarkson to be more aggressive. If I was Clarkson family, I also tell him to be super aggressive and stop passing so much to Lin only to have Lin get hot, dominate ball and take over. That is why we now see Clarkson shoot a lot more and try to get stats at Jlin’s expense. And Clarkson try more to focus to big men for assist or get ball back, KOBE style.

  • GoodDayLA

a lot of shady stuff happen behind scene. all teams cheat. most don’t get caught

  • Brent Yen

You are correct, I am not gonna say teams do not do it….but the consequences is heavy.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

BS publicly said he does not like PnR. Lin went on his own with Davis with success but now BS splits them up.

  • Brent Yen

    Yes sir

  • PPP

Mchale has put the Wolves in nimble for several years.

  • GoodDayLA

very neat take Brent. I don’t disagree with you. but i think Lakers also allowed it to happen. BS didn’t bench Lin fast or yell at Lin for calling his own number.

Remember against Boston in Boston? Lin did same thing and benched in 15 min. for being selfish.

So I think you are right, but also Lakers were allowing Lin to play those few games for whatever reason.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

No family needed. BS already wanted Clarkson to play like Kobe before injured shoulder, get your own stats and screw the team.

  • PPP

Uh…not when you risk your team several draft picks.

  • GoodDayLA

see if that was true, BS would have benched Lin and not allowed 4th quarter for Lin to dominate ball at all. I think Lakers allowed Lin to do it and Lakers and/or BS thought Lin would fall flat on his face.

but instead Lin almost DOMINATED and Lin too good so BS/Lakers had to shut it down.

You cannot just go rogue “on his own” and not get yelled and benched for insubordination.

They underestimated how good Lin was YET AGAIN.

    My take…

  • GoodDayLA

please see my post right above for my take.

  • Brent Yen

    Yes sir

  • GoodDayLA

PPP, how in the world do you think mid season trade happen if no agent can talk to teams?

  • GoodDayLA

Mchale didn’t get in trouble for that. Michael DID AN UNDER THE TABLE DEAL with J Smith.

  • GoodDayLA

    probably true

  • GoodDayLA

Bo can POST, shoot VERY well. And rebound on ground lol. Kbo also hit clutch shots. Zbo is just much more talented offensive player. Talent makes up for lack of athleiticsm. Bo much better offensive player than Love

  • Brent Yen

Of course LAL allowed it. Everyone with eyes would agree this BS/Lin thing is beyond basketball. However it is not all BS’s call tho. Lin simply broke open every single crack of BSs’ limitation he could find. BS is a HC, but he is not really that capable. The only thing he can do is talk bad about Lin and Yank him as much as he can.

All of this is not important now tho. Lin has moved on, we should too. LOL

  • takemeback2reaganyears

It displays so clear as you watch the game, BS can’t hide his lying piece of BS anymore.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

    Of course you are wrong.
Nobody is going to fine you if you have a private conversation with your agent/team/player …

Don’t you see the news/rumor that Rondo’s “mortal locked” with the Lakers this summer? Just don’t name your source.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

If the Busses are smart and fighting to protect their father legacy, the need to fire BS right after the final game of the season. No matter whom they get, BS is not suitable for this modern pro basketball. Check around the league to learn their successful.

  • GoodDayLA

BS is one of the worst coaches i have seen in a long time. And I do not understand why he played Kobe into ground. He is such a liar. HE said he would watch Kobe’s minutes but play Kobe 40 mpg. He is honestly really bad. There are only about 5 good coaches in NBA.

  • GoodDayLA

    EXACTLY

  • GoodDayLA

so many people knew D12 leaving for Houston. Lakers even interviewed the source on 710AM and didn’t believe him haha. And everything source said in March was 100% true. Source flat out said D12 find Kobe annoying and hated D’Antoni even more.

  • Brent Yen

Everything BS does is about himself, his survival. I do not think he takes winning as seriously….

  • Brent Yen

Those are true does not equal to D12 already made a deal at that time with HOU.

  • GoodDayLA

they will not and cannot. It is obvious why. His name is Kobe. Lakers will ride it out

  • GoodDayLA

yeah of course no 100% deal. Lin didn’t have 100% deal at ASB. I just assume there could have been serious talks and Lakers would not even consider it when brought to Mitch/Jim to consider.

Of course way it works is Lin agents reach out to other teams. Other teams call Mitch/Jim. Mitch/Jim say no thanks.

  • GoodDayLA

his moves do not even make sense. I think he and Kobe felt pressure to play Kobe 40 mpg to keep Kobe relevant. It was a stupid move.

  • Brent Yen

Then…….it is kind of weak tho…not really serious at all due to lack of any sort of guarantee.

  • BobbyH

Desperate time needs desperate measures. We should see if the Buss family has the vision and guts.

  • GoodDayLA

yes I just suspect Lakers shut out every chance to Lin. I doubt Lin asked for buyout. No smart person will give up 15 million.

I suspect Laker asked if Lin camp asked for trade etc and Lin camp confirm yes and so Laker give olive branch to Lin by letting him play his game a few times.

  • Brent Yen

Kobe is his ONLY meal ticket on the team. Of course BS ran him to ground. Gotta finish the dishes…..that is a good habit to have…lol

  • Brent Yen

Well 15 mil is one thing. It is about the remainder of the contract is not long.

  • GoodDayLA

I think even Byron knows Kobe is shot. I think that Clipper game Laker lost by 40 says it all. Kobe must play team basketball and be a torch bearer but he will try to be 22 yr old Kobe no matter what. Kobe will probably only retire due to career ending injury.

  • GoodDayLA

EDIT: no smart person give up 7.5 million.

  • GoodDayLA

they don’t haha. Thats why Grantland put out long Jeanie Buss piece yesterday or Friday.

  • Brent Yen

I hope not, and i do not really care. BS/Kobe combination buried LAL this season for sure.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

We both agree on big IF

  • Brent Yen

    yep….

  • joyce ward

Hope lin is better and has a good game. I was watching 76ers, Hornets the other nite, and Philly almost knocked the Hornets out of playoff contention with final score Philly 91-Hornets 92. Philly has good young running team that shoot. All they need is PG.

  • Brent Yen

    76er plays hard…

  • JimmyBuckets

you have to thank shaq for 3 of them he carried he team
other 2, lakers had a impeccable team kobe is not the sole reason they won those if anything mitch deserves more creds for putting up those teams and phil too
MDA wasnt a mistake just didnt have the piece to work it out dwight wanted to do post
not even phil wudve made them a championship team lets not kid ourselves there
    MDA was aproved by jerry

  • joyce ward

They did. They didn’t get the memo about tanking. They wanted to when. Noel got his busted in that game. I think he had a cut above his eye.

  • joyce ward

Any news on Rondo’s injury from last night?

  • GoodDayLA

i would love Lin to Sixers, good fit

  • GoodDayLA

can you imagine Lin with Embid, Noel, and great Sixer front line?

  • JimmyBuckets

    Jeanie is destroying the franchise
Jim will be gone soon then Jeanie is gonna run them to the ground
    the rebuild will take years
they wont get anything out of this years draft
they aint getting okafor and they wont get top FAs

  • joyce ward

I think so too. I think the he can lead those young guys to a playoff seat. When they Philly in LA, the 76er announcers ooing all over lin. Everything he did they got excited about.

  • joyce ward

That would be off the chain for real.

  • Brent Yen

Just watch Celtics….took them only 1 yr of rebuilding with a good coach+ditch Rondo. Now they are seriously thinking about making playoff.

  • joyce ward

Yep, and Brett Brown is an understudy of Popivich.

  • joyce ward

Also i was surprised to see on board with the conspiracy theory that the Lakers want to keep lin.LOL

  • GoodDayLA

SIxer is my personal #1 choice for Lin unless D’Antoni gets a job and recruits Lin to start.

Let’s keep fingers crossed. Lin is like a missing piece for that team. The front line is really loaded with future all stars. Lin can throw lobs to those guys all day. Add in Ed Davis, and get 3-4 good shooters.

All they then need is a really great 2 guard who scores without the ball like a Klay Thompson or get a Iman Shumpert type.

Hinkie seems to pick up houston rejects and so i hope he picks up Lin.

  • Brent Yen

That’s why I say if Lin gonna go to a rebuilding team. He at least needs a coach like Brad Stevens.

  • joyce ward

I think MDA will be offered the A coaching job at Orlando or Denver. Orlando GM has said they are looking for a coach with a lot of experience in the NBA and is a household name.

  • GoodDayLA

remember when Lin out of college, rumor was Sixers wanted him after summer league. But it was uncomfirmed.

  • joyce ward

Exactly. Somebody who is not looking for star power, but just want players who want to win by playing as team.

  • GoodDayLA

I don’t fear rebuilding team. Lin just needs ball in hand and pnR and empowerment. The SIxer front line is actually LOADED with talented waiting to explode next season.

  • joyce ward

    I totally agree.

  • PPP

    Thank you.

  • Brent Yen

That empowerment comes mostly from the coach.

  • joyce ward

    Really, hadn’t heard that.

  • GoodDayLA

ESPN mentioning Billy Donovan from Florida going to NBA or was it Caliper or someone…hope they dont take a MDA spot.

  • Brent Yen

I did not believe that rumor tho.

  • PPP

What was the under tabke deal? Too lazy to search.

  • MoominFloren
  • joyce ward

I saw that too, but I think at this point,it just rumors. ESPN was sighting unknown sources, which tell me they made it up.LOL

  • GoodDayLA

yep if you look back online “1 east coast team” interested in Lin. Later confirmed to be Sixers. That’s pre-Hinkie too.

  • PPP

Mid season trade talks were by agents? I thought its between teams, no?

  • CJSHYY

    For Easter or himself?!

  • Brent Yen

Following the 1999–2000 season, it was discovered that Smith was involved in a salary cap–tampering scandal involving Timberwolves executive Kevin McHale. Smith was allegedly promised a future multi-million dollar deal if he signed with the team for below market value, allowing the team to make some additional player moves in the short term. The league later found out about this violation and voided the last year of the contract, also severely punishing the Timberwolves by taking away five first-round draft picks (though two of the picks were ultimately returned) and fining the team $3.5 million.[3] The move hurt the Timberwolves in the long run, as while the team still found success, the lack of draft picks set the team up for their eventual failure in the mid-2000s.

    Per Wikipedia

  • GoodDayLA

Joyce, I honestly believe in 1 season, an empowered Lin, with like 5 Sixer former top lotto picks (EMID, NOEL, THIS YR pICK, and other top lotto guys on that team) could be a top 3 East seed and scare Lebron senseless.

    Call me delusional.

  • Brent Yen

    Both of course!

  • MoominFloren

    Yes !!

  • Brent Yen

I think you are right on this. I would say top 4

  • CJSHYY

I think that’s this tweet all about it.

  • GoodDayLA

I would say you don’t believe in Lin enough LOL

  • joyce ward

I am onboard with you. Brett Brown was one of Popavich’s assistant coaches

  • CJSHYY

    雙關語.

  • Brent Yen

    76er is a bottom team now for a reason….lol

  • Brent Yen

    Yes sir!!!

  • GoodDayLA

yes between teams, but agents ALWAYS involved.

  • Sophie Paris

    Amen

  • GoodDayLA

yeah they start Ish Smith and Canaan at PG. Lin will fix that and get the ball to the bigs and put his pressure on defenses.

Lin is like a 1 man pressure cooker. He is amazingly deadly off that pick n roll.

  • joyce ward

I gotta say though, they almost beat the Cavalier’s by 1 point the last time they played them. I think the players will be better if they had some leadership on the floor. Lin could make all of them look like rock stars. Also the West is too PG heavy and the and Eastern team would be the best for lin to excel. just some thoughts.

  • GoodDayLA

yes i KNOW Lin would make those guys look like studs. Embid and Noel will like playing with Jlin.

  • joyce ward

yep, and Brett Brown said we tried every thing to stop lin and they couldn’t. LOL

  • GoodDayLA

Lin throwing lobs to Embid, Noel, and this years 2015 lotto pick AND imagine if Ed Davis goes with Lin.

  • Brent Yen

I think If lin is on 76ers. The 1st yr would be like they get 130 every game but loses some game where they give up 140 pts.

  • joyce ward

My fantasy is that Lin/MDA have been talking and MDA has told him that he has been contacted on some potential landings and that wherever he lands, he wants lin with him. That is my story and I am sticking to it.LOL

  • joyce ward

Possibly, but I have been riding this lin train for a long time and I have seen many moments, when we thought one thing and another thing happened for the better.just sayin…Also too, Lin has become the Laker defensive juggernaut for the Lakers telling the young-ins where to go and stand for defensive plays.

  • PPP

    Best case scenario, agreed.

  • Brent Yen

    Yes ma’am. lol.

  • GoodDayLA

We will see. I’m not that keen on this MDA/Lin reunion happening. Too many dominos to me. But never say never.

If Lin is signed by Sixers, I will even buy NBA league pass again. I looked at sixers roster. They have big men studs and sadly nothing else. They will need more than Lin to really compete, but Lin alone is enough to make playoffs with 3 other top 3 Lotto picks.

  • orLinaryjoe

Some fantasies with Lin, I rather not listen to, yours, I can share. 🙂

  • orLinaryjoe

Yes indeed. Also very auspicious Ching Ming for those of Asian culture. Today will be a good day!

  • PPP

Not really, i read it some where that they played pretty good defense. And with Embiid, another big man, coming back and lins improved defenseive skill, they should be a pretty good team in the east.

  • GoodDayLA

imagine SIxer get top lotto pick & Laker pick this season LOL. Lin plus 4 other top 6 Lotto picks next season? Talk about good fortune if that happens.

  • joyce ward

Me and you are on the same sheet of music, but I would also like to add that Lin took Knick players who were considered to be scrubs, and brought out their game. So I will trust lin on that . Lin has become a more complete and smart player.

  • GoodDayLA

all he had in real talent was Tyson and well he did have Novak who is an elite shooter not properly used before and after Lin.

Landry was actually the weakest guy on that team and Iman was fabulous as Lin’s backcourt mate.

  • GoodDayLA

U forget EMbid not play all season

  • joyce ward

I love that the narrative on Lin now is that if he is allowed to play his game, he is a game changer. I think most coaches/GM’s around the league know that. Lin is not a diva, but a team player.

  • GoodDayLA

if there is karma, Lin to Sixer and Sixer get Lakers pick. I mean we will all laugh our butts off.

  • orLinaryjoe

    That would be karmic.

  • joyce ward

But they all looked like superstars playing with Lin. I think one thing that if Mavs offer him a contract, he has validation from Tyson Chandler and Amare.

  • joyce ward

That would be very, very karmic.LOL

  • Brent Yen

Exactly, I am betting on this actually. BS is gonna BS, Lin is gonna L(W)in

  • Brent Yen

    Yes, I forget that…lol

  • PPP

    Thanks. So it was tampering.

  • GoodDayLA

I hate to admit it, but Morey and Rockets were not wrong to build around Harden and push out Lin. Rockets are very good (hate to admit) and Harden is very good too. I think Lin is special too, but going with Harden is not wrong either.

Harden on the surface seems more like the obvious choice. Just looking at them you will pick Harden in a pick up game and that is how most GM pick too.

If you see this year, the only constant is Harden scoring and dominating ball. Rest of time other guys score random. Some game Dmo, some TJones, or Brewer, or Ariza.

  • joyce ward

Exactly. My personal thoughts is that Mitch/F/O will cave and give int o Kobe. Also if you read between the lines on Scott saying we will rebuild with Clarkson is their way of saying he is not that guy and if we have a better offer, he is gone.

  • GoodDayLA

Clarkson may become the new Nick Young and Young gets traded

  • PPP

If they are involved, that means tge team allowed them to. Otherwise, agents has no control of trades.

Of course, there are superagents that have superstars clients that team need to consider the relationship for future trade potential that teams dont want to upset them.

  • joyce ward

I disagree with that. If the Rockets had treated lin fairly as a backcourt partner with Harden(and understanding Harden is the franchise player), then the Rockets would have been close to becoming a contender. Lin didn’t mid not being the focus, he just wanted to win. I think that Harden now realizes that with lin, he wouldn’t have to watch his back as he did with Beverly. Harden has become the work horse for this team, and sooner or later it will take a toll on his body. I think lin/harden are way closer than we think.

  • GoodDayLA

    where waldo

  • joyce ward

I think so too. But Kobe will make sure he plays minimal minutes. if they sign Rondo, that tells me that Kobe is expecting a contract after 2016.

  • GoodDayLA

Well if Harden was cool with Lin, he would have stood up more for Lin. I don’t think many people stood up for him in Houston. Plus last year Harden had to fight Parsons for the ball.

I think the Rockets are better without Beverly and putting Brewer on other PG’s but Beverly is 5 extra cheap fouls.

Honestly, I think Harden enjoys dominating the ball and is in no rush to share with Lin. Just my take.

  • Acbc

Family businesses have one of the highest rates of failure becasue the parent that built the successful enterprise often gets stuck in the past with his ego in the way of progress. Trust me I know with my own experience with family, friends and watching multiple business fail becasue of patriarchs who failed to change with the times.

No matter how large an enterprise the Lakers is still just a family business stuck in the past. The say in business goes, ” if you are standing still, you’ll get run over. “. There should be a follow up saying to it…” If you are stuck in the past, you are already dead. “

  • joyce ward

I think at the time harden was all about his stats. I think harden has had some reflection when it comes to lin. I have gone to Rockets/Lakers game this season and Lin/Harden always hug and embrace and have long conversations during breaks, and after the game. I watch for this interaction.

  • Brent Yen

I will consider to admit if they make to final or WCF this year.

  • Brent Yen

In a sense when Lin was with Harden, Harden was still trying to build his own stock. Now he is being expected to bring a team to final, he knows he needs help. Time is different now.

  • JT

too early to say, they are doing pretty well right now, but lets see how they do in the playoffs

  • joyce ward

Exactly. Harden knows that lin will have his back and not try to outshine him. Lin just wants to win. Many people have dismissed lin going back to the Rockets, but I personally think Harden is the one driving the rumor on this one.

  • joyce ward

Are they doing well? i see harden doing everything right now. We all know how bad harden chokes during the playoffs, so we will see.

  • orLinaryjoe

I have seen growth in Harden. Trying more with D. We’ll see.

  • JoeTeam

I’m just a guy who loves the intrepid journey of the hero, and JLin live is just as good as any great book like you know, everything we used to read.

Thanks for your compliment, I shall keep trying 🙂

  • JoeTeam

I’m going to guess they will lose close ones to great teams because as you say, Harden dominates the ball. Maybe with Ariza and Brewer, plus the rising of Dmo mins and TJones maturing as you say, Harden has a better cast. But they are still handicapped with a low movement Harden (see NBA stats) and a weak coach. That’s all she wrote … come at me if they win the championship. Anything less is a fail, given their goals.

  • JoeTeam

lol fight Parsons for the ball.

  • JoeTeam

that may come true, but it’s sad for bball given Kobe’s performance the last 3 years. Time to let life happen, Kobe. Move on, do something else with life. Let the younger gen do something for the world, that’s how it works.

  • JoeTeam

That’s a great thought! for Easter. Revival!

  • JoeTeam

All thanks to JClarkson’s 2 game saving FTs on 2 occasions.

    gimme some chocolate eggs!

this conjecture is too wild … I mean, why not write about what JC’s hair stylist too? I don’t think there is any evil intent vs Lin here. He’s just a rookie doing what coach let’s him do. As a playing style, I would not like this guy on my team because he plays for himself. It’s part of him, he doesn’t need his hair stylist to tell him anything. Just go back to all the ppl you’ve played with, who make the self-choice, and you will know what it feels like. He scores, the game moves along, but you get a sick feeling in your stomach it’s a hopeless game because nobody has any contact with the score.

In soccer, that feeling is really painful, because sometimes, you are only down by 1 for 60 minutes, but you know it’s impossible. So anyway, that’s why I see JC as a real hard person to play with – you just know you cannot win.

  • JoeTeam

ha ha, maybe ppl are talking to ppl, indirectly, who know his brothers. You know the drill.

  • MoominFloren

Haha i love Noah’s surprise look
No doubt Lin is the most handsome guy among these :))

  • Brent Yen

Although it was facing HOU, but haha OKC lost…I want NOP or Suns to make playoff.

  • webattorney

    Gotta keep Harden happy.

  • webattorney

Safer move. Can still get Lin after this season for a lot lower.

  • webattorney

    Wisconsin beating Kentucky was sweet.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

I agree here…It would be in the Lakers best interest for Kobe to retire as soon as possible…Kobe can no longer carry a team and the Lakers will not win the title next year…So having Kobe around taking salary cap space + dominating the ball is a huge problem for the Lakers…Clarkson will probably have to take a seat on the bench next year if Kobe has his way and they bring on Rondo.

There’s even words Kobe won’t retire after next year and would want to come back…My guess is that will all depend on how he does…If he can shoot better than 40% and can get 20 PPG, he will probably demand a new contract…Specially if the Lakers are able to lure a big free agent in 2016.

  • webattorney

Not really. GSW not winning the ring is a bigger failure IMO. Can’t help Dwight getting injured.

  • Brent Yen

It is not just he can not carry a team, he is actually hurting them

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

One big problem with this wish is the fact that the Sixers are expected to take a point guard in the upcoming draft…They have 2 young center in Noel/Embiid that have potential to be good…So logic states they will take Mudaiy or russel in this draft..the 2 highest regarded point guard in the draft.

If Sixers take Mudaiy or Russel with their pick, they won’t have a need for Lin….Or maybe they could bring Lin to kind of tutor their young point guard and let Lin start for a year…

Mudaiy is 6’5 and Lin has some experience playing off the ball, so maybe Lin + the young point guard may work out for the Sixers.

  • Brent Yen

    WHy?

  • webattorney

    Best record. Why not?

  • Brent Yen

    in regular season…

  • webattorney

That leads to more expectation, with splash Brothers. GWS has a better team.

  • Brent Yen

That I agree…but for saying them do not win it all as failure is an overstatement to me tho.

  • HeroBallerJL

Harden did say after last season that he does not want to add or remove players. He believed they had a good team already and just needed more time to play with each other. I think Harden wanted Lin to stay with Rockets and enjoyed Lin’s style of play. Lin was probably the most efficient player during last years playoffs next to Dwight Howard.

  • I’m sure most wives would be ecstatic about the husband getting Lin’s signature. I’m just not sure if they approve of it being the highlight of their honeymoon :]

  • Yascar

Uhmmmm have I missed a new thread? Can’t find it even if I refresh?

  • Game 76 vs Clippers is now open
    http://www.jlinportal.com/g76-lac-lal-game-thread/

Only 7 games are left before Jeremy can focus on his summer Free Agency!

It’s quite concerning that Jeremy hasn’t fully recovered from his URI and had to take medication during last game At this point, we only care that Jeremy preserve his health and only play if he’s ready to contribute.

    Get well soon, Jeremy!

  • sorry, it was automatically released. I refreshed the latest cache now

  • JoeTeam

well, who said GSW were going to do worse than HOU? I don’t care as long as GSW do better than any team but SAS.

  • deesee5

I’m not going to be surprised if they do.

  • Sunny Sullenberger

Ok, you can build around Harden, but I guarantee you that the team built as such won’t win you a championship. Why? Playoff games are very different. Harden won’t get as many foul calls as he does during the regular season

Lin is a team player. You can build a championship winnin team with Lin
