  • 1mtoldman

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • JJ Hui

    Ah, lady first!

  • Acbc

    1st?

  • 1mtoldman

actually im 1st below. i know im not one but are you?

  • 1mtoldman

appear to be 3rd. im retiring however after my 3rd first historically. so next time you will have a better chance.

  • how kind of you =)

  • JW
  • oohhh, this is going to be so GOOD!
The Rise of Linsanity in LA should be the theme.

Expect Kobe Death Stare at the TV LOL

  • Spot

    Are you talking trash ?

  • 1mtoldman

i dont have enuf “street cred” to do that. actually im not even sure what it means.

i do: “sorry ma forgot to take out the trash.” does that help?

  • Brent Yen

Lin featured in 10th and 8th of this video

  • Rick Johnson

    Thanks

  • Job713

I always felt Miami was Lin’s nemesis team–
The team that put a block on linsanity 1.0.

A big step if he plays well tonight- first on the issue of back to back and second on the issue of playing well against Miami (even if it’s minus lbj)

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • CJSHYY

Ya! That’s why I want Lin to beat Heat even they maybe will loss as usual but if he can put up big number like last night or somewhere close to that…that bad game w Heat will be history.

  • linspiredinla
  • CJSHYY

Haha! I think lots of writers or bloggers, they don’t really follow Lin or Lakers that close … right now you can tell it’s Lakers wants Lin to stay that’s why Lin can get more playing time & PnR as he wish on court…. but not necessary Lin wants to stay…

  • sport

True I don’t remember Lin ever playing well against the Heat but they’re minus Lebron and Chris Bosh now. If Lin beat the Cavs with 20+ points then that’s something else!

  • Rick Johnson

Lakers media, fans so used to being a destination franchise they think they still are and can get anyone they want. Like those “futureLaker” tweets. SMH

  • Brent Yen

I think they know they can not, they are just saying that for the sake of saying.

  • 1mtoldman

be very interesting to see who plays for mia tonite; how they utilize or fail to utilize dragic. some of the time he’s been “lin’d” and relegated to exactly what he complained he wanted to get away from in phnx. some of the time they’ve let me play. but it seems pretty clear at this point that wade prefers playing with the more price/bev-ish chalmers. and then i guess is whiteside out for suspension? hope so otherwise l.a. largely hapless bigs will be overwhelmed. hmm i guess whiteside was not suspended only fined. not good for anti-tankers.

  • CJSHYY

Lakers just like Celtics slowly bye to their old glory history… I really thanks HB’s article on Rox wants Lin back bc that Lakers all the sudden found out their coach trash Lin’s game either for Kobe or FO tried to lower Lin’s value on FA…didn’t work well…. how come they have competition now. Haha! We all know Rox… they can have crazy deal again this FA…..

It will be interesting this summer.

  • linspiredinla
  • Arsenium12 .

Here’s a graphic comparing the basic stats for Lin and Mario Chalmers over the last few years. Since his Knicks days Jeremy has lost 5 out of 6 games against the Heat. So, no better time for a great game than now …
    __________

  • 1mtoldman

as i noted below will be interesting to see how they use dragic versus chalmers.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Lin didn’t play well against Heat but right now Heat isn’t as good as before so…I don’t think Lakers will win bc BS doesn’t want to win… only hope Lin gets good stats ….

Parker is averaging 13ppg his lowest in years. Spurs a big option. He could be groomed as Parkers replacement

  • 1mtoldman

parker is not having a good year. duncan is still a top 20 player. parker is barely a top 100 player.

  • Arsenium12 .
  • GoodDayLA

its funny, it feels like the better lin plays, the more the Lin forums get slow. It’s usually packed when lin plays bad only haha.

  • Rick Johnson

    3’s are looking good.

  • MoominFloren

With one shot foot on line 🙂

  • JLin Fan from Australia

When will be the game time?

  • FrankW

    in 20 minutes

  • FrankW

Keeping BS happy who don’t believe in 3s

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Thanks! Just wonder!

  • FrankW

I won’t look at that chart with too much faith. Today’s game will be what it well be,“Past Performance Is Not An Indicator Of Future Results.” I hope Lin has another good game independent of back-to-back and on the road. This is a new and improved Lin, we well see if he continues to rip it up.

  • Rick Johnson
  • Alaingrvis

Wow yea look like the team on a b2b

  • Alaingrvis

    Yea=heat

  • FrankW

    Keep it up starters!

  • Rick Johnson

    Lin coming, go Lin!

  • IsabeliJane*17

So even Dragic is a Heat he is still matched up with Jeremy..

  • chan c

    Let the good times roll…

    Go JLin!

  • Alaingrvis

    2 assist

  • 1mtoldman

notice how the game opens up once lin is allowed to touch the ball.

  • Briiick

    Wow, Lin’s assist

  • Alaingrvis

    2ft

  • linspiredinla
  • golfhacker

Henry Walker on the Heat was on Jeremy’s Linsanity Knicks team. Back then, he was Billy Walker. Don’t know why he changed his name.

  • chan c

JLin once said it’s Dragic who has the same playing style as his.

  • Maknusia

    coming or going?…lol GO LIN

  • Maknusia

JC was trying to do a little too much there…could have passed to JL

  • Grace Nsns

    good to know.

  • Joe what do you know

Too much? I think he’s trying to do everything himself…

  • Grace Nsns

    pressure/hype gotten to him.

  • golfhacker

    No ball movement.

  • Maknusia

When there is no coaching leadership, this is what happens…..

  • Rookie75094

jhill is bs secret tanking weapon….. that is why boozer got taken out right away when Jlin was assisting left and right

  • Illbe

ISO with Hill… Really, that’s going to work

  • Rookie75094

    lazy d by jhill…who else…shm

  • Grace Nsns

    one steal

  • John Lee

The two Jordans are not getting it done…

  • Rookie75094

    I blame it on mnichael…hehe

  • Rookie75094

Jlin should cut down passing to j hill

  • golfhacker

Jeez Hill, kick it back out.

  • Rookie75094

where is Tarik black… I rather see him than hill

  • Rick Johnson

Hill and those long 2’s are a liability. SMH

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Really dislikes both Jordans game–too much of isos.

  • John Lee

Boozer, Davis and Black are all better than Hill, which is why Hill is getting major minutes.

  • chan c

yup. that’s been the long standing Question.. Where’s Tarik Black?

  • CJSHYY

    For tanking purpose.

  • Rookie75094

start of second…Jlin should be the pg… the fun begins…

  • Rookie75094

    j hit jumper

  • Rookie75094

    j with lay up

  • Joe what do you know

    Smh hill…

  • Rick Johnson

    ditto

  • Rick Johnson

JLin playing great. Just get Hill out of there and we could make a run.

  • JW

announcer Hubie can’t stop saying Lin’s name. On the offense and now defense.

  • JJ Hui

Sorry and what i meant was i am the first female or first lady here after you and the other guy! 🙂
    Sorry!

  • 1mtoldman

yep he just gets like 12 minutes a game to actually control the game; those are the fun parts. then depending on score and tanking versus other factors whether will get more to close.

  • FrankW

Hubie a Lin fan since Linsanity!

  • 1mtoldman

as was pointed out in last game it is sad to say this but sacre at this point is better than hill.

  • John Lee

I know. It was “explicitly implied”. 🙂

  • Rookie75094

I remember him got so excited when Jlin drop 38 pts on kobe face…heheh

  • 1mtoldman

hubie’s just a good fair incisive announcer.

  • sws94

LIn is playing ridiculous now. Wow.

  • Illbe

Hey, he’s just speaking the truth!!

  • John Lee

The truth is hard to come by when it comes to the Asian player. Hubie knows basketball and has integrity.

  • Joe what do you know

Man how many shots has Hill botched from Lin’s pass?

  • Illbe

agree…there is bias in the NBA for various reasons besides ones skin color…hard to pin point it to one thing…ignorance perhaps

  • Briiick

OK, it’s the turn for tanking unit.

  • chan c

he used to say – Jemery Lin ..ha ha

  • Rick Johnson

Pat Riley wishing he got Lin at the trade deadline.

  • John Lee

    Too many.

  • Alaingrvis

    5 points 5 assist

  • chan c

and Hill is still in? that’s ridiculous…

  • Rick Johnson

They got any D-League bigs they can bring up? Hill is so frustrating.

  • Rookie75094

man…even when his team is leading….bs looks like his dog just die or something

  • I am The Jason

Hill’s game right now is an eyesore.

  • Rick Johnson

Guess Boozer can’t play the whole game. Black and Davis kind of redundant.

  • Rookie75094

J almost got steals from tragic

  • Brent Yen

LAL running motion weak..can not believe it

  • 1mtoldman

tank alert tank alert; davis too effective. tank in danger. must bench immediately.

  • Rookie75094

    great hustle by J

  • Rookie75094

    darn…hill just screw up johnson

  • golfhacker

    6 dimes by Jeremy!

  • Rookie75094

    and Jlin got taken out

  • IsabeliJane*17

Lakers bench lead by Jeremy carrying this team…

  • Rookie75094

tankers up by 4…let see what the score is when he comes back

  • Joe what do you know

Great. I can go cook my lunch now

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • JW

Now Hubie talking about how Clarkson should have dribbled in more on that fast break and not pull up and shoot that jump shot. LAL had the numbers.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL I’m going to have my lunch as well:-)

  • IsabeliJane*17

Announcer trade please. Trade Stuart and Bill for Hubie.

  • Rookie75094

    Ellinton with a 3!!

  • Rick Johnson

Can you get ESPN? Hubie is good.

  • Brent Yen

Not gonna work….they have zero value

  • IsabeliJane*17

    I have the Heat feed.

  • golfhacker

Has Sacre blocked a shot all year?

  • IsabeliJane*17

Too bad even the announcers are tanking.

  • JW

I thought Hubie wasn’t that supportive the last time he did commentary for LAL. Although Lin wasn’t given the freedom he has now.

  • John Lee

In the last five games, Davis averaged 80.8% FG (and 40% FT). LOL

He will get nice offers in the summer, hopefully going to the same team as Jeremy.

  • Rookie75094

hubie is propping Jlin and the second unit big time.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Announcer trade! Trade Stu and Bill for this guy!

  • Rookie75094

    boozer is busting the tank…hehe

  • John Lee

It’s almost like Jeremy’s on a promotional tour: Brad Stevens, Jason Kidd, Scott Brooks, Hubie, etc. Everyone giving Jeremy genuine props except for BS and Stu, and Bill Oram and that hating Rude guy.

  • Rick Johnson

Clarkson doing Pick N Pop wiht Boozer well. Must be getting tutored by Lin. So first team is Clarkson / Boozer and bench is Lin / Davis.

  • Rookie75094

    ht tankers up by 5

  • golfhacker

Clarkson had Kelly open for a 3.

  • Rick Johnson

Actually BS was giving Lin props too.

  • chan c

so, clarkson is still in, and Lin sits?

  • Rookie75094

I think the racist haters at cf are the only holdouts right now…hehe

  • pandaboy99

this game is on national tv means more eyes on lins resurgence

  • John Lee

I said “genuine” props, backhanded compliments don’t count. 🙂

  • Rick Johnson

Ya, Maybe saving Lin for 4th quarter.

  • chan c

    ’hope so..

  • FrankW

    Third quarter is in question.

  • Briiick

Wow, Lin played like a seasoned general on the floor.

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • Rick Johnson

Yes, if the starters can keep from imploding in the 3rd and Lin “The Closer” can come to the rescue in the 4th.

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • chan c

Wow! playing like a true PG huh…

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • Rick Johnson

I’m not sure what is worse Hill taking those long 2’s or Young chucking up shots. I wonder how they would taking Hill out, putting Johnson at the 4 where he’s most comfortable and spreads the floor and Young at the 3.

  • sport

    Hill is BS’s tanking piece.

  • linspiredinla
  • IsabeliJane*17

    Bandwagon getting full again

  • linspiredinla
  • sport

Missed the first half, from reading the comments looks like Lin’s doing well.

  • Rookie75094

yes he did and I have confidence he will.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yep he did well despite of b2b game like many feared of. Not me.I’m just intrigued what JLin will bring each game after his turning over the corner:-)

  • james brown

so not to be branded idiots and DUMBS!!!! (for the meantime)
unless they are so stubborn and blinded!

  • Rookie75094

tragic is not playing like a pg… no assist…per hubie

  • Rookie75094

hubie is propping Jlin for 6 assist… I like him

  • Alaingrvis

Learn a lot listening to him.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I get the feeling Boozer wants to play with the bench again.

Boozer: Can I get my bench role back?
    Davis: Talk to the hand.

  • Rookie75094

beside boozer, ellngton and maybe Clarkson…the starters are horrible

  • Rookie75094

    hey Davis coppied me…hehe

  • Alaingrvis

Any body else think boozers beard is way too dark. He put color on it to hide the graying lol

  • IsabeliJane*17

What’s that black thing on Goran’s right arm?

  • Briiick

I can understand, since his stats are getting worse in the 1st unit.

  • golfhacker

    Clarkson’s jock strap.

  • Rookie75094

    Clarkson for 3

  • IsabeliJane*17

    HAHAHAHA!

  • sport

I’m wondering the same thing, is his arm injured?

  • orLinaryjoe

Haha, I meant it as fun. Coming true, lol.

  • Alaingrvis

Look like something to help keep shoulder in place. May have a shoulder pain or it’s for style. These type of product really never help.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I’ve seen Harden with the same thing. Thought it was a tattoo until I saw Goran with the same thing.

  • Rookie75094

    aand then miss a 3

  • Maknusia

Jinx Quarter as usual? Loosing the lead now…

  • Rookie75094

    sacre blue!!!!

  • Rookie75094

    down to 2

  • IsabeliJane*17

Oh. If it’s for some medicinal purposes, it’s fine. If it’s for style, what in the world?!?!?!

  • Alaingrvis

Hey i used to say that

  • Rookie75094

    just like clock work…tie game

  • Rick Johnson

Sacre with 4 fouls can we get him off the floor yet? Put Black in.

  • Rookie75094

    now tanker down by 2

  • Alaingrvis

    Every game

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Those JLin-Davis-Boozer plays…it was a meantime treat.

    Oh well..

  • Alaingrvis

To be fair he won’t play after this

  • Rick Johnson

Starters blowing the lead in the 3rd on que. Tank squad.

  • sport

Sacre’s fouls single-handedly brought Heat back in the game!

  • Rookie75094

    you are a wise man…hehe

  • JJ Hui

Sacre? BS wants to tank for sure with Sacre playing! Foul machine too!

  • 1mtoldman

according 2 script. same old same old.

  • sport

Maybe they have shoulder pads underneath? lol

  • Rookie75094

I am eagerly awaiting for RPG17… the antitank special weapon

  • 1mtoldman

harden was the first to have one. now everyone does: davis, dragic–every nba game now you see someone with one. i dont know what is.

  • I am The Jason

Hubie Brown preaching the gospel truth about the Lakers starting unit being terrible

  • Joe what do you know

Prob come in when there’s around 4-5min left in 3rd

  • JJ Hui

BS always let the third quarter slipped away untill too difficult to catch up! That is his goal for every game, using the poor rotation players to drag down the team.

  • Rookie75094

could it be harden want to save the beard he cut…cause he like it too much… I feel sorry for the other wannabes…haha

  • chan c

    No Lin yet?

  • Illbe

Harden wore one earlier in the season, too. Searched for an answer then, but still wondering. I’d like to know

  • Rookie75094

I have to admit…Kelly is worthless if he is not shooting the 3

  • Alaingrvis

    Around 5-6 minutes

  • chan c

oh , so the tankers job not yet done…

  • Joe what do you know

Just regular taping ready-made and cut into shape when manufactured. Used by physiotherapists on sports injuries to restrict certain muscle movements and prevent further aggravation.

  • Rick Johnson

Miami beating starters 17-6 in the 3rd quarter.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Looks like an electrical tape to me.

  • wandertheglobe

BS is waiting for the Lakers to be down by 10 before Lin comes in for the rescue.

  • JJ Hui

Can BS call time out and put Lin in now?

  • golfhacker

    Clueless, clueless.

  • wandertheglobe

Hill is suck a bum…no D what so ever

  • IsabeliJane*17

Haslem, please… if you get half of the hits-and-uncalled-fouls Jeremy gets, you’ll resign from this league.

  • Rookie75094

tankers went from up 4 when Jlin left the game to down by 6 when Jlin come back in…

  • 1mtoldman

still too close. need to get further behind to insure. tank.

  • Rookie75094

    and here comes RPG17

  • 1mtoldman

want to make sure have double digit turn aroudnd to make up.

  • Maknusia

I was about to write…Lin’s minutes today would be limited…then he comes in!

  • james brown

its just like a tape but hold onto with in the week and then readjusted by a Therapist to control muscle spasm, uneven movement and correct muscles structures.. it can be worn even whilew bathing for it stick like aglue into the body and won’t sag when liquids passed through it.
    FYI!

  • Maknusia

    missed it!

  • Joe what do you know

BS is too easy to predict. He always put Lin back in around 4-5min mark in third.

  • chan c

    he he..

  • Rookie75094

hope he gets to play the rest of the game now

  • Rick Johnson

Lin always having to fight back from a deficit.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Thanks. Thinking how much it can stick to the skin kinda scares me though. I imagine Goran or the doctor pulling it with some of his skin stuck on it. *shudders*

  • 1mtoldman

clarkson got a lot of fouls now coach better take him out save him for the end.

  • 1mtoldman

another brief interlude now for lin to do something without clarkson.

  • wandertheglobe

Ellington and Lin is a better combo

  • Maknusia

lol…yeah those are latest taping method used in sports medical team

  • Maknusia

MIA with 10 pt lead now 🙁

  • LAJane

Johnny-come-lately group. It’s a good thing. Needs to happen…still kinda annoys me though. Where were they when…

  • Maknusia

    Kelly…good shot

  • Rookie75094

    Kelly for 3+ 1!!!!

  • LAJane

That’s because he IS a seasoned general. Slogged through years of guerrilla warfare.

  • Rookie75094

Jlin played great D… led to Kelyl’s shot

  • Maknusia

It seems thats how things are planned now…sigh

  • wandertheglobe

Lin good D on Dragic to create Kelly’s quick 3

  • Rookie75094

    J denied tragic layup

  • Maknusia

    lol…tattoo?!!! 🙂

  • Joe what do you know

lol. I’m gonna take that as a typo…

  • Rookie75094

    here comes the anti-tank brigade

  • LAJane

On second thought, let ’em both stay in LA with Kobe and Rondo 🙂

  • Rookie75094

    it is an intentional typo..hehe

  • IsabeliJane*17

Thought it was. Was really stuck to his skin.

  • Rookie75094

    J with a steal

  • Dorothy

    333333333333333333333333333

  • Rookie75094

    J for 3.. down by 1 now

  • Maknusia

    Thats Butter!

  • Rookie75094

    tragic is limping…uuhh ohh

  • Maknusia

there is pad…its just a tape….pretty much like a bandage…but just thinner to hold up your strain muscle

  • Maknusia

    nice 1pt game!

  • Maknusia

Bad defense there….should have closed the lane

  • Rookie75094

down by 3… Lets go J!!!

  • Rene#17

Yes 4th qtr is Lin time. Let’s go Lin!

  • sport

Darn Dragic got a steal on Lin!

  • Rick Johnson

Lin will get him back in the 4th

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    No foul called

  • Brent Yen

    Bad luck TOV again…..

  • Rookie75094

I thought he fouled J but what ever…they didn’t score

  • JustAFan

    here comes Mr. 4th quarter

  • Alaingrvis

    It’s ok it happen

  • wandertheglobe

Lin is not getting any calls this game.

  • Brent Yen

    What is LIN’s line now?

  • Alaingrvis

    Agreed

  • sws94

Is that his first one of the game? Not too bad. Hope Lin gets his rhythm back he had in the first half. He missed 2 drives but hit that 3.

  • DaBoss

Announcer (Hubie Brown?) saying Lin brought Lakers back to within 3!

  • Brent Yen

    He did

  • Rick Johnson

    Hubie knows the truth.

  • linspiredinla
  • Rookie75094

    8 pts 6 asst 1 tov

  • Michael

Just woke up and Lin hit a 3. Keep them coming.

  • Alaingrvis

    8 points 6 assist 1 tov

  • Rookie75094

    3 stls

  • Brent Yen

So he is quite today….played a great game so far tho..

  • Rene#17

    Lin to Johnson for assist.

  • LAJane

Typical. Wonder at what point in his career they’ll start giving him his due.

  • wandertheglobe

Miami home cooking with 15 more foul shots.

  • Rookie75094

    yes!!! tied

  • Maknusia

everyone seems to see it….except for Scott

  • Maknusia

    oh man!… missed it

  • Rick Johnson

3 was close, rattled around in the bowl.

  • Maknusia

nice…he stayed with the ball…despite the push…Go Lin!!!

  • LAJane

I like that he keeps shooting these days

  • joyce ward

    Just keep shooting

  • Michael

    What on earth Hill.

  • LAJane

    Steal.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Goran shot on Jeremy’s face. Jeremy get back with a reverse. Hubie commending Jeremy on not fouling when Goran shot on him.

What media in the world am I watching?

  • Rick Johnson

Hill is so low IQ. Avoids going into the paint. Wants to keep taking those long 2’s.

  • Rookie75094

Jlin is beasting in so many other ways other than scoring…I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • Charlie S

JLin currently leading all Lakers with +11

  • Brent Yen

I love this week….total audition mode for lin.

  • Alaingrvis

Hubie is a great commentator regardless

  • Maknusia

    yes…baby!

  • sport

Holy smokes Lin with 4 steals! He might be daily player again if he gets 20 points!!

  • Alaingrvis

    In has 4 steals

  • Brent Yen

Him and the co are colder today

  • Maknusia

    yes!!!

  • Rookie75094

Jlin is displaying the total package…AWSOME!!!

  • Grace Nsns

On Chalmers, I like this one!

  • wandertheglobe

    JLin with 4 steals

  • LAJane

Human world, rather than media troll world.

  • Michael

Why is the tanking banana following the heat dancers 😛

  • Charlie S

JLin playing amazing defense? That can’t be right =P

  • Alaingrvis

    Hey stop copying me lol

  • IsabeliJane*17

Please, please trade for Hubie now as Lakers announcer.

  • sws94

Dragic is good. I like his game.

  • chan c

ha ha.. coz we’re so used to rubbish commentating…

  • Rookie75094

    believe it…hehe

  • John Lee

Keep going back to sleep and then waking up, repeat 5 – 10 times. LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

This comment has “Edge of Tomorrow” written all over it lol

  • Maknusia

    Nice D from Lin there

  • DaBoss

Right? Actually enjoying listening to/watching this game!

  • Rookie75094

Jlin to ed for 2 and 1

  • Maknusia

    Nice pass there!

  • Rene#17

    Lin to Davis and 1.

  • DaBoss

    Anderson on Lin???!!!

  • Charlie S

Music to my ears. JLin Davis

  • LAJane

He sees it. He doesn’t like it…personally, I mean. Plus there’s tanking for which J is useless.

  • Grace Nsns

    8 assist!

  • joyce ward

    Chris anderson?

  • Michael

    Yes yes, very high IQ!!

  • MoominFloren

C’mon 2 more for double double baby!

  • Rick Johnson

Hubie: Lin with high IQ play, draws the bigs gets Davis open

  • Grace Nsns

    ED! SMH

  • wandertheglobe

I didn’t know the game is on ESPN, painfully watching the Lakers feed. But they have been very complimentary of Lin today.

  • Maknusia

Those commentators said…high IQ…lol…Scott gonna pretend he didnt hear that!

  • IsabeliJane*17

Switch feed while there’s still time.

  • Michael

Wade with the trademark starfish flop.

  • Maknusia

for a moment there..I thought Jeremy gonna take a 3

  • JJ Hui

Wow commentator said Lin has high IQ! Plus saying he went to Harvard, then said about the SAT scores!

  • John Lee

Well, can’t blame BS on that one. Takes high IQ to know high IQ.

  • John Lee

Underhandedly calling out BS low IQ, Hubie’s alright in my book.

  • Promo Sports World

Best Lin has played in his career

  • Charlie S

    Another 2 for JLin

  • Rene#17

    Jumps shot for JLin.

  • LAJane

Oh NOW they like it. Used to make fun of it before. Well, not Hubie, but most of the rest…

  • Rookie75094

    Jlin in BEAST mode!!!

  • IsabeliJane*17

What media in the world am I watching, with all those Jeremy compliments?

  • sport

Jlin’s shots are really efficient, keep it up!!

  • Promo Sports World

I say it’s his best because his game and mind seem completely in sync

  • JJ Hui

They talked about Harvard again, LOL! BS coach, did you hear that?

  • If Byron Scott takes Lin out, he’s definitely tanking. Need Lin to stay in and get two more assists!!

  • Charlie S

    Lin shooting 50% again

  • sport

Forget assists I want Lin to have 20 points, as long as he has his 20 point game again I don’t care if Lakers lose!

  • Rookie75094

    Jlin line..12 pts 8 asst 4 stls 1 tov

  • LAJane

I’ll annoy the heck out of him 🙂

  • Rick Johnson

Lakers got to work on defending without fouling. Too many shooting fouls.

  • sws94

Coach Nick ‏@nick_solis08 3m3 minutes agoFresno, CA
@JLin7 has been playing very good basketball as of late, im very happy for him its tough to overcome all the negativity he gets.

  • 20 points, 10 assists. Let’s go!

  • John Lee

Heat shot 33FT, Lakers only 15. Just saying.

  • sport

Yup after that BS can let it tank for all I care!

  • Grace Nsns

    Rox fell to Grizzlies! LooooooL

  • Michael

Now imagine me with that dark goooo all over me.

  • Rookie75094

In other awesome news …the rockettes lost by 2

  • sws94

Today he’s facilitating well, getting steals and is in double figures scoring. I like the full Lin to show so I’m happy with this game. If he gets no more TOs, so much the better.

  • JJ Hui

Well, the direction of wind is changing! The commentators probably have to change too!

  • chan c

    ha ha reminiscing Linsanity

  • IsabeliJane*17

Shame on the Grizzlies. Just 2 points?!?! Bleh!

  • Rookie75094

    Jlin is talking with wade

  • Hill cannot get a rebound if his life depended on it.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Shame on the Grizzlies! Should have smoked them.

  • Charlie S

If BS wanted to win, get Boozer on the court and sit Hill

  • IsabeliJane*17

It’s a shame how tall he is but he isn’t playing like how a “big” should

  • Rene#17

Why why give it to hill???

  • aka the story of his life.

  • Michael

Come on lets not celebrate over another teams misfortune ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ.

  • chan c

    hear hear

  • Rene#17

JLin gets no calls for fouls.

  • Brent Yen

    Lin looks gassed

  • Promo Sports World

    Lin may be out here

  • Bad sequence by Lin. Took a quick jumper and then over helped on Wade. 🙁

  • chan c

    he just wants to shoot

  • I am The Jason

Can Hubie Brown be the coach for the Lakers.

  • sport

Yes I think Lin got fouled on that jumper!

  • Promo Sports World

BS could have used that timeout earlier with hill chucking

  • IsabeliJane*17

I did my best not to cringe for leaving Goran way open.

  • Rick Johnson

Put Boozer back in for Hill

  • John Lee

Jordan Hill’s favorite song is “We built this city…” if you catch my drift.

  • sws94

Yeah, he’s tired. That was a defensive mistake he made going to the pain while leaving Dragic open beyond the arc. Dragic is too good a shooter to leave him open. He’s tired.

  • Maknusia

    true!

  • Promo Sports World

Think he was pissed on being fouled on that jumper

  • deesee5

    Hubie ftw

  • JJ Hui

    By throwing bricks! LOL!

  • Maknusia

2 more ast would be nice

  • LAJane

Davis out for Kelly? Rats! Edit: and a turnover and a foul right off the bat. Tanking.

  • Illbe

What the Hill doing in there

  • Joe what do you know

    The tank is shining…

  • Rene#17

    Kelly in? Coach Tanker.

  • Charlie S

BS must strip JLin of his tools. No Boozer, no Davis

  • Rick Johnson

For Kelly and leaves Hill in? Tank commander.

  • Maknusia

    no way…

  • Chipdip

The BS Tank in action…. full force tanking

  • Rookie75094

    Clarkson in for kelly

  • Maknusia

    Bring back Boozer!

  • How many assists is Hill going to blow??

  • John Lee

Not unlike the OCT 31 Clippers game, the refs might have a lot of money on this one.

  • deesee5

wow lakers cant make a bucket

  • LAJane

Wow that was fast. Kelly yanked already for Clarkson.

  • JJ Hui

Why Boozer and Davis not in?

  • Rookie75094

lol…Jlin keep trying to tie his shoes

  • sport

LOL JLin’s shoelace was loose yet still defended well!!

  • deesee5

i noticed. I was afraid he was gonna trip and to

  • Rene#17

    Tank tank tank.

  • Maknusia

oh man!….JC took a hard hit!

  • sport

Ouch hard foul by Whiteside on Clarkson.

  • Nobody helped Clarkson up… rookie hazing?

  • LAJane

Lakers gonna lose, but our boy SHINING again.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Dear Clarkson,

Kid, you have a long way to go until you learn how to attack the basket like Jeremy. Attacking the basket isn’t all about dunks.

  • Rookie75094

for once I like that movee

  • Brent Yen

    Because he is hurting

  • emz

if it’s a back thing, it’s probably bad to help before you figure out severity

  • Chipdip

    That’s BS plan in work…

  • Rene#17

    Get your double double.

  • LAJane

How many times can I upvote this 🙂

  • Charlie S

    9 assists!

  • Maknusia

    thats beautiful!!

  • Rene#17

Awesome Lin to hill for 9th assist.

  • LAJane

Basketball Gods…one more assist…just ONE more…for the double double

  • Maknusia

    again open lane…bad D

  • Grace Nsns

    finally.

  • I want OT!

  • sport

Wow didn’t know Hill could do that!!

  • Alaingrvis

Whiteside beating out there. Lakers need a center real bad

  • John Lee

Another Jeremy clutch 3, purty please?

  • Maknusia

    looking forward to….Go Lin

  • sport

Lin needs to take over and make some clutch shots!

  • Rene#17

    With and 1!!!

  • Rookie75094

should have foul white side on that last play… he is bad at ft

  • IsabeliJane*17

Thank you. I just cringe how he attacks the basket going for a dunk EVERY.TIME.

  • Maknusia

    correct

  • Michael

I’m disappointed that he is capable of doing that, and only exerts that effort once a month.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Once every two months more appropriate..

  • Is Clarkson REALLY the person you want to take that 3??

  • sport

Clarkson took the 3?! why not Lin?!

  • Rene#17

BS sets the play for Clarkson.

  • Chipdip

    BS … just BS…

  • Alaingrvis

    Whiteside won heat the game

  • LAJane

When you have the tank, you gotta secure the tank.

  • Chipdip

    Total BS

  • Rookie75094

oh well…another awesome game for Jlin

  • Maknusia

    yeah! 🙂

  • chan c

how many points does our boy have?

  • sport

    BS play.

  • Maknusia

    Anyways…good game by Lin 12pt/9a/4st

  • sport

Lin couldn’t get his double double! =/

  • Rookie75094

I got him on my fantasy team… yeay!!!

  • John Lee

Nah, refs won it. Heat 41 FTs, Lakers 17. Jeremy gets no calls in Miami.

  • Rzo Vlade

pathetic jhill sucking but left in the 4th boozer should be in

  • I am The Jason

Hill playing in the 4th quarter is egregious

  • sws94

Wade made big plays down the stretch. Lin another solid game.

  • Michael

Hill was in for rim protection…..wha???

  • Rene#17

Oh well Coach BS gets his tank but JLin is beast tonight.

  • sport

Rather Lin got 20 pts with 6assists. Lakers need his scoring threat. I felt he passed too much to Hill.

  • Maknusia

lol…tons of wasted basket from LAL…maybe b2b game….kinda off on shooting

  • chan c

    statline pls.

  • Rick Johnson

Lin +5, Clarkson -18. Pretty typical

  • Rookie75094

    yes..you are correct

  • DaBoss

Jeremy the facilitator and catalyst for this team!!!

  • LAJane

The basketball Gods say, Hey…J had a great game and we gave you Hubie sayin’ great things.

  • Maknusia

his shot was not falling….but he continued his shooting..12FGA

  • Chipdip

Once again, the 3rd quarter give away… BS tanking strategy at work perfectly

  • sport

    12pts, 9asts, 2rebs, 4stls only 29 minutes.

  • Maknusia

    he is the best…out there!

  • Rick Johnson
  • Byron Scott knew what he was doing leaving Hill on Whiteside. 76ers game is in doubt, so no way BS wanted to win.

  • Brent Yen

    LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

Well what do you know? They’re now promoting Jeremy as face of the franchise.

  • Rick Johnson

    Haralabos Voulgaris
    ‏@haralabob
Lakers down 15 secs left, Byron had 2 timeouts, didn’t call em #subtletank
    https://twitter.com/haralabob/status/573325790491893760

  • Brent Yen

So…Lin did great….b2b still affects his shots I would assume…

  • MoominFloren

BS: Mission completed! Tanking and let Lin played his game (Kup won’t give me shxt again!)

  • LAJane

12 pts, 9 asst, 4 steals, 1 TO in 29 minutes of play. Highest +/- on the team at +5. (starters all in negative, of course)

  • That guy is a huge NBA fan. Makes a living gambling on NBA games, so he watches a lot of them and he’s very very insightful.

  • sport

Ellington had 41 minutes! Lin can’t even get 35minutes from BS, only had 29 this game!!

  • IsabeliJane*17

Personally I think his shots are ok. My only issue was he overhelped in defending Wade and left Dragic way open,a tank could drive between them.

  • Michael

That was probably the Heats game plan.

  • Brent Yen

But he said Lin is backup at best…not really that accurate

  • sport

Yes Lin definitely over helped on a few defensive stops. Thought he’s gotten rid of that habit.

  • Brent Yen

I was laughing when that happened…

  • Illbe

    Ellington shot was off

  • james brown

still, because of pressure from Fo, BS gives JLIN JUST enough time to do his thing and at the same time, Tank!~

  • IsabeliJane*17

I cringed, but I cringed more whenever Jordan Clarkson attacks the basket for a dunk.

  • chan c

    oh thanks.

  • sport

Why? Clarkson is usually good for those dunks?

  • Arsenium12 .

    Here’s the box score …

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Beside Davis, Laker big are garbage

  • Dan Cohen

would’ve been 3 games of straight double doubles… can you count how many OPEN shots and LAYUPS missed…. that translates to 3 wins for a 6 game winning streak!

  • Michael

Lins’ PER is just too high now. BS has to limit his minutes to keep the tank rolling.

  • LAJane

Sorry, didn’t see your Q below in time. Also highest +/- on team at +5 (all starters in negative 🙂

  • sport

Is Boozer considered a Big? He’s played well.

  • blubell
  • sws94

Hill had opportunities from Lin’s passes. Just catch and shoot. Instead he tries to put the ball on the floor and isn’t good at it. Lin played great. Some days will be 20 point games, other days assists. Shows he’s a real PG and can run an offense and not just a scorer. I’m fine with him not scoring 20 as he scored 23 yesterday and showed he’s a great facilitator today. Plus, 1 TO. Solid game.

  • wandertheglobe

Last 3 games, Lin 8/8/9 a – with many missed open shots – that’s distribution.

  • IsabeliJane*17

His “attacking the basket” consists only of dunks. Going for the dunk even if there is/are a big/bigs near the basket. I’m sick of it.

  • blubell
  • I give him credit for having an informed opinion, he’s entitled to that. Other people are just clueless haters.

  • sws94

It’s an exciting play when it works but he almost hurt himself on that attempt. He sometimes uses the floater, which is a pretty good shot for him.

  • Dan Cohen

    westbrookmania

  • orLinaryjoe

    Linsane!

  • blubell

I was listening to the MIA radio announcers. They were praising Jeremy and his leadership.
    https://twitter.com/i_am_angeli/status/573327137379250176

  • Brent Yen

    I know I know, I follow him too..lol

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Still an underrated defender

  • james brown

no..he found the right formula for tanking and at the same time has given JLIN the oppor5tunity to think and forget having a second thought on signing with the lakers next season.

BS already limit JLIN time before and they suffer from spectators attendance for DULL and DUD plays ..with JLIN, enough energy can be shown but give jeremy with a players like hill who is a lazy one and inconsistent and tank can be done..

BS right now favoring Lin but not too much because the y dont’ want to win.

  • wandertheglobe

    Starting lineup should be PG-Lin, SG-Ellington, F-Johnson, FP-Davis, C-Black

  • Rene#17

We give Coach BS too much credit thinking he’s tanking. Many be he’s just lousy and stupid. Kidd thought so with the Nets.

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

I liked how Lin picked 3 or 4 PGs so far…quick hands….smart high IQ..

  • blubell
  • JJ Hui

Eventhough Ellington shot was off, BS kept Ellington in for 41 min to tank!

  • MomentousPetey

    superb understatement

  • james brown

she’s a believer now…with daydreaming eyes whenever she mention the name Lin!!!!
    LOL!

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

    Those pickpocketing hands…

    😉

  • takemeback2reaganyears

@Paul, an expert always does his homeworks.

  • Illbe

you might have something there…low BB IQ

  • blubell

I know you like Lin puns so… here you go. SteaLin 😛

  • Maknusia

And no Ed Davis who was 7-10 with 14pts! with 3stl

  • IsabeliJane*17

    I don’t actually.. but I’d take it.

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

and there is a Whiteside in the middle

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Lol

  • blubell

    I was being sarcastic… teasing you 🙂

  • orLinaryjoe

    Blubell has competition.

  • IsabeliJane*17

He can serve on me anytime he wants and I won’t complain. 🙂

  • Dan Cohen

11 blown assists.. are they wide open? I know at least half of them were wide open.. obviously don’t expect all of them to be in..but if half of it..which is suppose to be in that is 5 additional for a total of 14 assists. sigh…

  • MomentousPetey

    and last but not least:
    – #Lakers coach not coaching

  • blubell

I will never post Serena’s tweets ever again… how dare she! lol.

  • LAJane

It was the hands you had in mind…and the pickpocketing 😀

  • IsabeliJane*17

hmm.. either my sarcasm radar is low because I’m sleepy or I’m in the happy zone because of Jeremy’s game.

  • Maknusia

she always gave credit to Lin

  • Maknusia

    hahaha….healthy competition here!

  • blubell
  • takemeback2reaganyears

Half open, the other half were layup

  • IsabeliJane*17

After listening to great, informative basketball insights from Hubie now I’m reading THIS?!?!?! Oh the horror!

  • james brown

then why forget booz or davis?

  • JJ Hui

That was how BS coached with low IQ! When the opposing team hot with momentum, he never call time out to disrupt their momentum, he let them add more and more points to give away the game!

  • Rene#17

In his interview Coach BS says the play was set for Clarkson to take the 3 or drive to basket. Next option to kick it to Ellington. No Lin No Win!

  • orLinaryjoe

Watch out for the block and steal from our own Blubell!

  • MomentousPetey

    Clarkson with that nonexistant defense…

  • blubell

If you want to keep up with Jeremy, gotta turn up that sarcasm radar. lol.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Stupid formula

  • LAJane

Yet again…how many times can I upvote this. I don’t know how this guy manages to sound more dim every day!

  • and what kind of sweet dishes that you and @disqus_3ojL2FVU9I:disqus prefer?
is it more appetizer or dessert?

LIn-quiring minds want to know LOL

  • MomentousPetey

    well dayum…

  • james brown

and BS ripped lakers for defense…need to put davis at the 4th qrt to seal a win..but no thank you says sir BS..were inside the tank mode!!!

  • IsabeliJane*17

I want a full meal – breakfast..breakfast in bed to be exact

  • Maknusia

lol…no formula is the secret formula!!!

  • Briiick

BS uses JC to occupy the position for KB, and even the right to make the last shot.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I don’t think he’s in the mood to be sarcastic today with the way he’s playing. 🙂

  • MomentousPetey

    ya that irks me

  • Maknusia

    That was a good open JC…so I’m fine…not a forced shot

  • JJ Hui

BS always put the weak players in 3rd quater to make sure it tanked with no return, sick of BS!

  • blubell

Get in line… everybody wants to praise Jeremy. Coaches (not named Byron Scott), players, announcers (minus Stu) all giving respect Jeremy deserves.
    https://twitter.com/CNM_JLin_Vids/status/573330024671154176

  • Maknusia

that seems to be the reason…unfortunately!

  • LOL .. ok, I’ll stop asking then =)

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

Spoelstra did too in his timeout interview.

  • orLinaryjoe

    TMI

  • Maknusia

    with Spalding?! lol

  • joyce ward

    What did he say?

  • IsabeliJane*17

    What?!!!? I didn’t say anything much! 🙂

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Again, lin analyzes game like a coach.

  • blubell

This is like 4 games in a row an opposing coach has praised Jeremy. Linsane.

  • For once, I’d like to hear honest opinion “If Lakers is not tanking, we’d be in deep Lin trouble”

  • grover chang

I don’t know if BS is smart and evil with the nifty move of putting Hill with Lin and taking Boozer away or If he is just stupid and evil.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Mike Jones asked him what he’s gonna do since Jeremy is the catalyst for the LA game (“catalyst” is the exact word Jones used). Spo praised how he’s getting into the paint and his PnR so they’ll try to stop him there.

  • Maknusia

Yeah..great pass and steal and ast/to ratio!

  • blubell

It was Hubie? Man, I really need to watch this game.

  • CJSHYY

    Tanking!!!

  • grover chang

Jeremy is smart and articulate. He gives reporters quotes they could use to make their articles look good. BS… well that’s another story.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    stupid but not evil

  • Maknusia

Tough player indeed…need to send this to BScott!

  • Chipdip

    just stupid

  • ViNuyork

u know why—he does not know what to say anyway :)….might make it worst 🙂

  • IsabeliJane*17

Yep. I called for announcer trade but @brentyen:disqus blocked it because he said Stu and Bill has zero value.

  • blubell

This is all IJ. Don’t drag me into this! lol.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    with rubber….

    shoes

  • Brent Yen

    League would not approve….

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

I won’t be surprised if Spo will mention him again in his postgame conference.

  • blubell

    Like a boss.

  • Brent Yen

But…but his last name is Lin

  • LAJane

Who’d a thunk that Jeremy would end up shining so much and getting praise from opponents while on a TANKING team. Who really knows what conflicted logic has the FO (’cause it’s certainly NOT hater Scott) cracking the door open for him. It’s a strange and winding road. But for the moment…golly it’s FUN.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Come on @disqus_3ojL2FVU9I:disqus.. you know you want to 🙂

  • blubell

    Jeremy is trending 🙂

  • So much FUN indeed!
These coaches praises certainly would help drum up interest in the FA season in July.

Let the GMs do their homework and let the bidding begin soon!

  • Maknusia

    pre-planned lost…maybe?!

  • Maknusia

    yeah…double LOL

  • linspiredinla

Hubie praised JLin effusively throughout the game. Used words like “excellent, outstanding, high basketball IQ” etc. Basically said 1st unit is weak. 2nd unit has been excellent, except they missed Lin’s passes multiple times. At one point joked with the other announcer about Lin’s Harvard edu. Other announcer: “I had to take the SAT 4 times to add up my scores”. Even though team didn’t win, I think JLin proved himselg again with great stats.

  • linspiredinla
  • Maknusia

oh!!!: 0) rubber?!!!…ok ok…the shoe kinda registered a little late in my brain…

  • Maknusia

    yeah…dont pollute the league

  • linspiredinla
  • Maknusia

    ting ting ting

  • IsabeliJane*17

    – On back to back

    TAKE THAT, haters and doubters!

  • Maknusia

Didnt you change his name, previously…cant remember now?

  • Maknusia

we dont need to go into calling a person evil….

  • Rene#17

Yes got to enjoy cause don’t know when Coach BS will rip the rug out from under JLin.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

BS best formula is putting the tankers to close games. With Hill so far is always tank since ASG.

  • John Lee

You got it backwards. Ellington got 41 min BECAUSE his shot was off. Would’ve been benched if he was hot.

  • Maknusia

he said something like…we need to figure out how to contain JL

  • Briiick

The B2B thing is a myth. Given some picks, Lin still plays like a star in a B2B.

  • Maknusia

yeah…Hill is obviously a bad choice as a closer, could have easily gone with Davis/Boozer

  • Maknusia

    you got that, right!

  • Maknusia

totally..its just a myth…and it happens some times…due to game situation

  • Michael

Yes much more knowledgeable than urinating on hydrants.

  • blubell
  • Michael

Follow up question could be, And how do you evaluate who is playing better, since you don’t make decisions based on stats?

  • Hans

If BS would had inserted Ed Davis to close out, the Lakers wouldn’t had been out rebounded by Whiteside like we saw, and it would had been a different outcome. I believe BS is still tanking, by surrounding Jeremy with incapable teammates.

  • IsabeliJane*17

You want BS’ nose to bleed with that question?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Well, not much we can do when I saw JLin was the last bench in 3rd qtr. I know then BS continues to tank. He definitely has no desire to win the game.

  • Maknusia

agree…hope the highlights covers those blown assists

  • joyce ward
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Of course, BS is still in tanking mode. No doubt about it!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Just can’t appreciate Clarkson game. He is definitely a SG and not PG. He is -18, the lowest among all players again.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL BS’ gangs still talks about JLin did well because of playing from bench. Let’s see how long this narrative to last.

  • CaliUSMC

  • sport

I’d start Boozer at PF with Black/Davis at Center. Not sure whether I’d start Nick or Johnson but Johnson is more effective on defense with his long arms and height.

  • HeroBallJLIN

    Thanks for the highlights

  • linspiredinla

https://twitter.com/shahanLA/status/573334929150386176. Lakers down by 10 until “Lin-inspired” rally “really hard not to use linspired”

  • linspiredinla

“When Lin entered the game, he quickly stamped his mark on the contest with five points and six assists before the halftime intermission.” from Shahan Ahmed article below.

  • CaliUSMC

Hubie made the highlights so much more enjoyable.

  • linspiredinla

“Leading by five points at the half, LA predictably came out slow in the third quarter and fell behind by 10 points. After a Lin-inspired rally (it took real effort not to use “Linspired”), the Lakers and Heat had a tie ball game with just under 11 minutes to play.”

  • linspiredinla
  • blubell

I love his high IQ comments 🙂

  • linspiredinla
  • CJSHYY

These clowns need to help BS to clear the air for his dumb move on Lin since beginning of the season…. but no one buy their story…

  • HeroBallJLIN

Hubie is a total Lin fan. Great commentator

  • linspiredinla
  • HeroBallJLIN

Worthy said Lin is no Price when it comes to Defense. Price isn’t that much better than Lin on D. They are almost similar.

  • Rookie75094

as a Jlin fan …I love watching melt downs by doubters and haters whenever Jlin played well… especially the double meltdown in cf…rockettes lost and Jlin played awesome…haha

  • Brent Yen

Canaan had a good game too…lol

  • Rookie75094

add that to the cf melt down…haha

  • JoeTeam

v easy to see by looking a efficiency over games. Small sample size of back-to-backs, he gets good ones enough to debunk against the small sample size and PT, role jerkarounds. That narrative is so much a staple of false fans on boards …

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS put Clarkson in at the end to pad his stats but on the contrary Clarkson got to -18

  • Arsenium12 .
  • linspiredinla

Worthy continues to be worthless with subtle and not so subtle jabs at JLin. Tonight he called Lin’s 4 steals “a couple of steals”.

  • stam

    LOL that is too funny!

  • CJSHYY

Really like what ESPN commentators said about Lin… Wow! If he can really be free to play his game again next season, that will be great time for watching the game. 22 games to go from Lakers.

  • CJSHYY

They will not go anywhere… hope 1st round out again. LOL
    !

  • Brent Yen

I think Lin is a lot better

  • HeroBallJLIN

really? nice. I thought it was very similar. But that was before. Lin has been playing good D lately. So wouldnt be surprised Lin has better D stats than Price. haha Why am I even comparing Price to Lin, its a silly comparison.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

That’s what it’s. They will go into playoffs and can’t go far.

  • Brin

Another great showing since the break. Lin plays like 5 more minutes
they win the game. Ellington does not need to be playing 42 minutes so
give those to Jeremy and keep the rhythm going with him moving the
ball. At least Byron is letting him finish games, but seriously.

Jeremy is seeing the court really well right now on both ends. Great job of
reading the passing lanes, taking charges, and anticipating the
crossovers. He hung in the air nicely on two fadeaways holding it a
beat longer to find open men, just playing aggressive and free.

He has found a way to win over teammates one by one and flourish in this
Princeton offense. That’s impressive. stay aggressive against the bigs
of Memphis and take a couple floaters. double digit assists next game

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is by far the better player overall. Defensively thats debatable. Offensively Lin is by far the better player.

  • Brent Yen

When I saw LAL ran motion weak like Spurs and Hawks and then got a Wes 3….I was shocked…

  • stam

I may be the only one feeling this way but I feel like his FG% was affected by the numbers non-call fouls on him. Did anyone else see this or am I biased?

  • John Lee

Ever heard of Def Rtg Dashboard at NBA.com? Jeremy is so much better it’s not even remotely debatable. But don’t take it from me, go check out the stats when you have the chance.

  • Brent Yen

Lin has a good feel about the negative space (the portion of the court that is not within his LOS). Last game the pass to Boozer was one prime example

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Still don’t understand why BS doesn’t play Black at all.

  • HeroBallJLIN

He should have definitely got that foul call when he stole ball and try to make lay up and Dragic hit him from back.

  • Brent Yen

IF those are really no-calls…then it is not about what we think. It is in fact affecting his FG%

  • stam

There’s no way anyone can play 42 mins and be just as effective. When you are fatigued like that, it greatly increases your risk of injury. The tank is strong.

  • CJSHYY

Maybe he will when Lin really starts…

  • JLin Fan from Australia

  • Brent Yen

THe analogy I can think of about Price’s D is Irving’s handle. Flashy…eye pleasing…but still ends with JUST 2 points…

  • HeroBallJLIN

yeah of course. Just haven’t seen them in a while. Just remember looking at the comparison on D when Price started over Lin.

  • John Lee

He DNP-CD’d Black so that people don’t call him a racist. LOL

  • Brin

yes, excellent peripheral vision and great awareness. it’s mainly that he is anticipating well now. He sees where everyone is on the court

  • John Lee

Me too, and the difference was night and day. Which is why I’m confused at your “Defensively that’s debatable” line, because there was simply no comparison. IIRC, the ONLY stat Price had over Lin was steals per game, but nothing else.

  • linspiredinla
  • blubell

    From Lakersground

Lin — Nearly a double-double tonight and another strong game from Lin. He talked about the issues with the Lakers weakside defense in the final minutes. “It’s pretty difficult trying to be in both places at once to try to get there and back,” Lin said. “That’s something I’ve got to do a better job of and the team in general.” He missed an opportunity to try to wrap up Whiteside on one key play and send him to the line. Lin had a very good stretch of D late in the second quarter, getting a couple of steals and taking a charge. He led the team with 4 steals and also with 9 assists. Loved seeing Lin find Clarkson for the lob on the break. Clarkson called for it and Lin put it up there for him, fully aware of Clarkson’s ability to get up. Hope those two can continue to build some chemistry to close the season. Scott has loosened up the offense to allow them to attack more off screens, especially early in the shotclock.

The Stats: He scored 12 points on 5-12 shooting (1-4 from three, 1-2 from the line) to go with 2 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals, 1 turnover and 1 foul in 29 minutes. He was a +5.

The Action: He lobbed to Clarkson on the break for the slam, very nice. Next time down, he pushed the break out and dumped a bounce pass to Boozer for the dunk down the middle of the lane. He drew FTs up-faking a man on the perimeter, he made one. He attacked the paint, collapsed the D and hit Davis at the last second for the layup. He hit a step back 16-footer. He saw the D sleeping, attacked from the wing and scored high off the glass over the help D before going down. He attacked and hit Ed for the jam. He swiped the ball on the other end. He stood in and drew a charge next time down. He missed a three straight away. He slapped a pass away and then threw it off a Heat player to get a stop. He hit Hill for the jumper.

Second Half: He forced up a wing jumper and missed. He attacked and missed, but Davis cleaned it up. He swiped a bad pass, attacked and missed around the contract, but a teammate cleaned it up for him. He swished the wing three on a kickout. He was stripped on a drive. He lobbed to Wes when he was left open in early offense. He missed an open wing three. He probed off the high screen and reversed. He scooped up a loose ball for a steal and was fouled. He found Davis under the hoop for the And-1. Screen in the early offense and he sank the wing pull-up jumper. He missed a wing jumper. High screen, he attacked, drew the D and hit Hill for the layup. Looked like he could have taken a foul on Whiteside on help D under the hoop, instead we gave up a layup. He did get whistled for a foul on Whiteside on the other end after a miss and Whiteside made one FT. Not close on a pull-up three down 4, needed that one for any chance.

A typical Dragic game. He is really a good player…sorta like Melo, who can contribute as a side kick. Lin OTOH can shine as a lead player…..those differences will not show in stats. JMO

  • Michael

  • Grace Nsns

He used to claim himself as a top 5 PG, after his 2nd title.

  • Rick Johnson

It was about Sacre, his son and a retired BB player having dinner, talking about how the NBA game has changed, about the Celtics coming to town and the rivalry, Presy with his son on the Celtics. Some Lin highlights of of that game, then Utah game. Some old retired Lakers coach getting honored in Santa Barbara. There were a few sentences from Lin but not what it seemed like it was being built up to be in the commercial. Unless I blinked and missed it.

POST-ASB, seems like shooting-wise, Lin picked up his mid-range pull up, now at 47.6%. However, his pull up 3 down to 23.1%…..which is bad. Anyway, his C&S 3 is at amazing 57% while C&S 2 at jaw dropping 75%. This tells us having a mid range bailout shot is important…very important…

Pre ASB, the numbers are mid-range pull up, now at 32%. However, his pull up 3 down to 42.9%…..which is bad. Anyway, his C&S 3 is at 32% while C&S 2 at 25%.

Really proud of JLin to keep up with his next level games. 22 more games to learn and improve. Stay healthy and have fun! Go JLin!

  • KL

All these recent games have brought much relief and joy to us fans.

I actually think Byron did not expect Lin to do that well. I think the spacing and high picks have more to do with Jeremy asserting his leadership than Scott consciously making plays for Jeremy. (Just my opinion).

It is also funny how the Lakers media are trying to cover up for Scott’s obvious mismanagement and tanking.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

And they have made themselves looked very bad and unprofessional. Lose my respect to all ex-Lakers and KB since JLin was traded to Lakers.

  • FrankW

“I actually think Byron did not expect Lin to do that well.”

No one did, including most Lin fans. The one bright spot was PFV who predicted this prior to the ASG when Lin had a 7 point game then follow with a 2 point game.

  • joyce ward

I am so proud of lin. He played really well tonight. He played an all around good offensive and defensive game.Clarkson has long way to go. He just doesn’t have that high bball IQ like lin and he doesn’t have that court vision at all. Also, I really think Hill/Swaggy P will be traded this off season. I think the lakers want to keep lin/ellington/davis/boozer.

  • joyce ward

    Lakers starters 43 points
    Heat starters 81 points

Not sure JLin/Davis/Boozer would like to stay in Lakers if KB and BS are still around.

  • joyce ward

I didn’t say they would want to stay, I said that I think they want to keep them. The problem that the lakers have is kobe.

  • John Lee

The sudden turn of tide on Lin’s treatment indicates two possibilities:

    1) Big question mark on the result of Kobe’s surgery and his return next year.
    2) Mitch/Jim is giving up on Kobe, either due to healthy or marketing reason.

Either way, if Kobe’s not coming back, BS is as good as gone, which may be why he’s changed his tune recently.

  • joyce ward
  • leeda harun

So busy today. Thanks guys for the updates.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know what you are saying. If there is no KB and BS, it’s entirely different story. KB likes to play with NY, Hill, Johnson, Price. They are KB and BS people. If they want to keep KB and BS for another season, then most likely these few will stay unless Mitch can win the tug war with KB and his gangs.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Well KB is still sending a strong message that he is planning to return next season and probably more even last week if I’m not wrong. Mitch is sending out different message. So, depending which camp will win this war in summer.

  • Tey Ling

If D’Antoni got the HC job with Denver, do you think Lin will reunite with D’Antoni?

  • John Lee

Kobe can say whatever he wants, but Mitch is under order from the higher ups. Jeanie’s camp is not doing all that much to promote “Muse”, and Lin haters BS and Stu/TWC are changing their tunes. One can draw his/her own conclusion from these observations.

  • Tey Ling

Why Lantern festival? Today is Chap Goh Mei, the 15th day of Lunar Year when the single ladies shall throw oranges with their names and contact no written on it, make a wish and throw into a flowing river with the hope of meeting a match! Ha ha … A happy customary tradition ..

  • joyce ward

I think so. I think Ty Lawson has over stayed his welcome in Denver.

  • kittyhead

Now I am not sure if KB likes Young…lol Anyway 100% believe Lin wont stay on an old slow boring Kobe’s team.

  • Tey Ling

Me too, I think Lin will reunite with D’Antoni given a chance.

  • joyce ward

I think the Lakers might try to buyout kobe. They have already put him on notice that they are not signing Rondo. Yep lakers F/O has some decisions to make.

  • joyce ward

then again, who knows they might bring Dtanoi back for lin.

  • Rookie75094

Count me in as one of those Jlin fan who will stick with him through thick and thin as long as he gives 100 percent playing basketball the Jlin way.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

WOW You know more about the “tradition” than me. I only knew that it’s another feast that all Chinese were enjoyed–Last day of CNY:-)

  • Tey Ling

That would be fantastic, definitely a win win for all….

  • Rookie75094

Here is a story. ..of a man name Tragic…. (should be read with “the Brady bunch” tune.)

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Now that JLin is up to next level of his games, the next 22 games will be interesting to watch. Would like to keep an eye to see more development of KB, Mitch/FO, D’Antoni, other pgs…. FA is going to be “fun.” Being JLin fans always keep us in toes. Never boring:-)

  • John Lee

The four consecutive home games will be interesting, because home fans are savvy and don’t put up with the BS’ bs rotations such as benching the hot hand.

  • joyce ward

Also, lin has become a fan favorite. I have been to the games and he always gets a cheer when he comes in to play

  • John Lee

A buyout seems much more likely now compared to beginning of the season.

Between Kobe’s desperation in promoting himself in the midst of lukewarm reception and the change in attitude of Lakers F/O and L.A. media, something definitely cooking and it’s something Kobe won’t like.

IMHO Jack Nicholson’s announcement of surrendering his season tickets was a serious warning sign of public opinion to the F/O. Additionally, I think the F/O is getting very bad vibes about the upcoming F/A, realizing BS (in addition to Kobe) might’ve stunk up the organization’s reputation more than previously expected.

  • John Lee

Yeah, L.A. crowd sure like their tacos, especially the free ones. LOL

  • joyce ward

I totally agree. Nobody wants to play with kobe or play for scott.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

That’s very true. After witnessing what they have done to JLin, players stay as far away from KB and BS.

  • John Lee

One of BS’ many failures that’s turning away F/As is the way he throws players under the bus. He’s paid to tank, yet at the same time he does not want to tarnish his own name, so he chose to tarnish the Lakers’ instead. This is a really dumb move, even for a tanking coach, because it shows that he’s someone that will bite the hands that feed him (except for Kobe).

Hinkie tanks too but he makes it clear to everyone. BS pretends that he’s trying to win, but it’s the Lakers players (and by extension the F/O that assembled the team) who are always to blame. Had he been smarter, he would’ve blamed himself to play the role of a tragic, inopportune hero. At least this way players and fans may have felt sorry for him and paid some respect.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

They could have experienced it before the trading deadline:-) No deal was able to make:-)

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL That’s why I call him brainless BS:-)

  • John Lee

Not just Lin. Players around the league don’t even need to be sharp to sniff the trouble when Shaq, Sessions, D12, Pau, Nash and last but not least Lin (who’s famous for taking bs with grace) all have trouble with Kobe. And let’s not forget how Phil Jackson took shots at Kobe in his book too.

  • John Lee

Yeah, not even Rondo. He may not be all that as a PG, but he’s smart enough to know that playing with Kobe (as ballboy) would only hurt his own market value. Having breakfast together is one thing, being thrown under the bus is entirely another.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Who knows what’s going on in KB’s head:-) Now that JLin has taken over the team, the players play like a team finally and get better. KB must feel very threatened by all these–loss of control. Wonder who would want to play with KB after playing and having fun to play with JLin.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

That’s right. KB is putting himself into the corner more and more.

  • John Lee

True enough. Chances are there were a number of factors building up, until reaching boiling point around ASG / CNY time.

  • John Lee

    You mean…like this? LOL

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Believe it’s a combination of multiple factors that finally JLin is allowed to close out in the 4th qtr. Glad that JLin is able to grasp this opportunity and force BS hands to play him more:-) Once again we witness JLin’s favorite Scripture: Rom 8:28 ” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

  • JLin Fan from Australia

All the things that KB has done and said himself or via BS. After he was out, his comment on celebration…. He just alienated himself more and more from other players. (Very tired now. Can’t think more examples:-))

  • Acbc

He was threatened right from the beginning. I’m sure Melo told him not to let loose the dragon. The first time Lin had 21pts and was player of the game, KOBE turned on Lin and BS put him on the bench soon after.

  • Acbc

If Lin gets another big contract, he should hire Doc on a permanent retainer and have him work with him on a daily basis. Obviously, no one on the Laker’s staff is able to “see”his stroke the way Doc can. Tennis players and especially golfers need a coach to watch the constantly for deviations from their progress. Changing a habit especially is difficult. Old habits creep in and it’s a slippery slope of bad form. Sometimes an over correction is needed short term to break that bad habit. Without guidance, a player can easily slip into that over correction form and make matters worst.

Coaches aren’t necessary if the support system is there. Lin has been pushed down by his team’s coaches so no help was ever there for him. A good coach that you trust can accelerate your progress by leaps and bounds. Having Doc around will help him both physically and mentally.

As a loyal Lin fan, soaking it all lin. Watching highlights for the n time. Is it me, or were actually alot of fans cheering for the Lakers last night at the game?

  • Acbc

That’s what I thought too. I’m totally confused now!

  • linspiredinla

In post game interview, when asked about day off, Lin said he needs to get his body right. Not sure the ice bath is normal for after games. Hope he remains healthy.

I would think so. They also say take ibuprofen before a game and it helps after. Less swelling = faster recover time. It’s like hammering on your joints esp bball.

  • CJSHYY

PR talk… I think he is most likely to stay w Heat. Lakers will not pay him big money.

  • Dan Cohen

he also did soemthing in houston where he stood in a big metal box with no2 or something to freeze it up and then unfreeze it back because the blood circulation will improved tremendously during the unfreeze period which then will heal whatever that is sore or hurt much faster ssince the blood is flowing back to the area with renew oxygen or something.. it was in his interview in houston.

  • TTNN

That’s a chamber flood with liquid nitrogen vapor, sort of like full body ice as it is kind of lower temperature than ice, but maybe better controlled. I don’t think you really freeze it, that will be scary.

  • Filler-up

I hope not since Price gets hung up on screens.

  • Dan Cohen

i know right… that’s why I say or ‘something else’ because freezing it with no2 and if there is an earthquake will be very scary.

  • Filler-up

Nailed it. Very insightful immediately after the game, so he knows what’s up.

  • Arsenium12 .

The Dallas Mavericks have used “total body cryotherapy” (liquid nitrogen) :

“For athletes, the treatment is similar to an ice bath, except much colder, much faster. Frigid temperatures prompt blood to rush to the core of the body. When blood is circulating through the core it’s picking up oxygen and nutrients and enzymes and all the things that it needs to survive. The result is swelling goes down and muscles recover faster. Sports experts say full-body cryotherapy is new, but the concept is sound.”

Other NBA teams to have used this general technique are : Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs.

Kinda hard to have more than 29 min coming off the bench.

Excerpt from a review of Mike D’Antoni as a potential Nugget head coach :

It is not an exaggeration to say that D’Antoni has been one of the most influential NBA coaches of the last 15 years. Every team stole something from the SSOL (Seven seconds or less) Suns, whether it’s utilizing a “stretch four,” playing five out, or just the many creative ways that his teams used high pick and rolls. While he is famous for popularizing many sets that are common in today’s NBA, D’Antoni’s system is built more on principles and reads rather than set plays. The team’s fast up and down pace is only one of the tenets that make his teams exciting to watch. Equally as important, D’Antoni’s offense hits defenders with a constant barrage of ball screens that make for action packed offensive possessions.

He was also one of the first coaches to pioneer the idea of position-less basketball, where forwards and guards were interchangeable on the offensive end. Today, teams like Atlanta, San Antonio and Golden State have perfected this skill and have even applied interchangeability to the defensive side. Lastly, D’Antoni’s teams put a premium on shot attempts early in the shot clock when statistically speaking, shots are more efficient. The “Seven Seconds or Less” nickname applied to the Nash led Phoenix Suns comes from their desire to get an open look within the first seven seconds of the shot clock.

I don’t recommend taking pain killers before play JT. Don’t do it. You can take it after play to help with taking down inflammation. There is research on this available. I don’t do it because you can easily hide injuries and minor tears that you’ll push limits beyond what is already a weakened body part. I do preheat if I need to play through pain and use compression to keep it warm.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Stu made unreal comments and ought to be ashamed of himself.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The ex-Lakers gang up on dissing Lin.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

If Ronnie Price is as good as he stated, Ronnie would stay on a team rather than a journeyman playing on a minimum contract.
This is another way to diss Jeremy Lin even when Jeremy has compiled excellent stats for the games after the break of ASG. The inisidous attempts to bury Jeremy by the ex-Lakers who are determined to seek control of the Laker.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

In the last 3 minutes, Byron Scott inserted Ryan Kelly for Ed Davis, playing an unbelievable game with a double double already. Dwyane Wade stole the ball from Kelly. Then Byron Scott inserted Jordon Clarkson for Ryan Kelly after 13 secs. Jordan Clarkson was totally schooled by Wade and finished the game with -18. Byron Scott’s explanations are nothing but lies.

  • dave lam

Its good to be a Lin Fan these days.
    Jeremy playing very well.
The only thing that sucks is that Lakers are tanking and out of the playoffs.
I hope Jeremy can play on a winning team next season, wherever he ends up.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The turning point of the game is at 3:18 mark, Byron Scott inserted Ryan Kelly for Ed Davis who played an excellent game with a double double already. Ryan Kelly immediately got the ball stolen by Dwyane Wade and Kelly made a shooting foul just in 13secs. Then Byron Scott inserted Jordon Clarkson for Kelly.
Then with 2:19 left, Goran Dragic blocks Jordan Clarkson ‘s 3-foot jumper.
With 2:18 left, Hassan Whiteside defensive rebound.
With 2:04 left Deng missed a shot and Whiteside got another offensive rebound.
With 1:44 left Jordon Clarkson made 2 FTs
With 1:28 left Ellington fouled Wade and Wade made 2 FTs
With 1:15 left, Jordan Hill makes layup (Jeremy Lin assists).
With 57secs left, Hassan Whiteside makes two point shot (Dwyane Wade assists)
With 40 secs left, Jordan Hill makes two point shot.
With 21 secs left, Hassan Whiteside makes layup (Dwyane Wade assists against JC)
Thereafter, Whiteside was fouled twice and made 3 out of 4 FTs.

Did you all notice the domination of Whiteside w/o Ed Davis?
Did you all notice the domination of Wade over JC?
Did you all notice how Byron Scott, the master of tanking, lost the game?

Lineups for Lakers vs Heat game
    Only plus lineups are:
    Davis / Ellington / Hill / Kelly / Lin +52.9
    Davis / Ellington / Hill / Johnson / Lin +12.6

All negative lineups have Clarkson. Take a + lineup and put Clarkson in it becomes a negative lineup:

  • deesee5

Needs more tests. I think he needs more good back to back games before we can say he’s on another level.

  • pandaboy99

+5 for lin, -18 for Clarkson. Literally highest and lowest plus minus. thats just crazy

  • deesee5

here’s another thing I see haters say that’s been irking me.. “Lin is the secret ingredient to these losing games. No wonder Byron leaves him in!”….. Pleeeeeze -_-

  • JW

I hate it when Lin comes, Clarkson still stays in as PG. If Lin plays PG, then maybe it might be better result.

If Lin is not to start, Clarkson should play 10 min to start 1st and 3rd. That’ll give Lin 28 minutes minimum to play as PG for the last part of 1st and 3rd, and finish 2nd and 4th.

  • deesee5

I know. But I’m just saying that to know for sure.

  • pandaboy99

The whole offensive scheme has changed, they arent doing those “chin” “elbow” set garbage that were so predictable and ended up in no points. They are abusing the pick and roll with lin as the main faciltator. There definitely has been some decisions made by coaching/front office. In other words its not just lin became better over night, a system was put into place.

  • Rick Johnson

Maybe Scott trying save his job trying to show the FO he can actually win games if he tried while they still are on the tank wagon.

  • JoeTeam

ah yes, wise. Someone told me when I was younger and more competitive and I did it a couple of times and it worked great. You’re too right, this is unsafe to do pre-game.

  • ETC

Lin did a great job from the bench. Just think of all the adversity and he keeps going. I am hoping he can keep it up until the end of the season. It has been a great seven game stretch. Hoping he can also find a great team next year.

  • JoeTeam

I just saw this on local news. Ppl are saying they feel great after and it tightens up the skin. Someone out here is selling the service like the new suntanning booth. It doesn’t look cheap. They say ppl coming out of it has 40F skin temps for a short while.

with only 3 guards basically available at the moment the rotation is set; lin is only going to get limited time “alone” to do his thing. whether he even plays at all at the end is more determined by tanking goals and game circumstances.

lin doesn’t get more than 12 to 18 minutes to actually control the game. more would be dangerous to tanking goals. which are primary goals.

it appears a compromise has been found to give lin limited opportunity to showcase himself and he has taken maximum advantage to that to date. . but not to the extent that actual serious winning would occur.

it would be unrealistic but not impossible for him to maintain his numbers of the post asg period to date.

almost half the remianing games are against other tankathon teams. so much likelihood of bs tank and lin train to at some point collide rather than continue to at least to some degree run parallel.

Recently a lot of people have been surprised at how well Jeremy Lin is playing. To most of us fans, it’s not surprising at all since we knew he was capable of playing this way since Linsanity. All he needs is the right system that focuses a lot on high pick and rolls and correct spacing.

The next question then is, why now all of a sudden is Byron Scott allowing Lin to play his brand of basketball. When I think about that question, the optimist in me can’t help but think that us Lin fans had a part in the change in the front office’s views about Lin.

When Lin fans and websites like “Jlinportal” are constantly re-tweeting positive posts about Jeremy Lin from sports writers, that is positive reinforcement for them and human nature will cause them to want to write more positive posts about Jeremy. When “Jlinportal” is tweeting Jeanie buss in a positive way, I think that really has a positive impact on how the front office views Lin and changes the way they perceive him. When it comes down to it, NBA owners want to win because it leads to the ultimate goal of making a greater profit.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the front office is seriously consider bringing Jeremy back next year and ordered BS to let Lin do his thing so they could see what he could do.

The point I’m trying to make is, as Lin fans, we can and are making a difference even if we may not realize it. Let’s keep up the fight and keep supporting Lin in good times and in bad. Also, thank you to everyone in charge of JlinPortal for all the positive work you guys are doing.

Channel anger/frustration elsewhere and not towards Clarkson. Non of this is fault. He’s a rookie that the FO drafted and so its their right to use him in any way the need. He seems to look up to Lin an listen to him. And plus he has AZN pride. JK

The “hate” is not for Clarkson, but how BS wants Lin to play SG and Clarkson still PG. I do like how Clarkson is aggressive and has that nice floater, but I just see Clarkson as a SG. Those 2 together and Lin as SG, the team doesn’t move as well.

It’s great that they want to give Clarkson the experience while LAL are tanking, but I still want to see them playing the right way. I just don’t see that when those 2 are on the court at the same time.

  • Rick Johnson

This is a pretty good site for seeing game flows and how a player affects the game. You can see that when Clarkson is on the floor in the first quarter they are slipping behind, when he leaves in the 2nd quarter LAL go on a 13-2 run and get the lead. In the beginning of the 3rd quarter with Clarkson in they lose lead. Lin come in and stabilizes thing a bit but it isn’t until Clarkson is out in the end of the 3rd that they turn things around and go on a 8-0 run. Davis out and Clarkson in at the end was the tank move that sealed the game.

  • 1mtoldman

he’s not called the tank commander for nothing.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is the only guard that can stay with the Heats.
Not Ellington and certainly not Jordon Clarkson.

  • Rick Johnson

It’s amazing how it can look like you’re playing well, getting good numbers and comments from the commentators but actually sinking the team. The perfect stealth tanking player. It shows up in his big negative +/- but not readily apparent what’s going on.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Fans really need to understand the game better because there are commentators who are deceiving and misleading which include lots of ex-Lakers even the hall of famers.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • Rick Johnson

Also notice Ellington played too much. He ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. Lin played a long stretch from the middle of the 3rd to the end. If Lin had started the 3rd and finished the 4th they probably would have won

  • Kwok Wai Lai

From the chart, it’s easy to deduce that at the beginning of the game while Lakers are busy scoring, they haven’t found the rhythm and the plays for the team to be in sync. There after every time Clarkson is in running the team, the same thing happens but Miami Heats have already found their rhythm. In the third quarter, the Lakers are totally out of sync. Miami can almost do whatever they want to go around Lakers in circles and take turns to prey on the poor rookie.

  • Rick Johnson

Even when the bench came in early in the 1st quarter with Clarkson playing PG they weren’t getting anywhere. It wasn’t until the beginning of the 2nd quarter when Clarkson came out and Ellington came in you see the Lakers make a 13-2 run. Then the starters come back in and the run stops and they go sideways again.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

My guess is TWC was informed by Lakers that Lin will not be resigned so they (twc announcers & analyst) were told to marginalize Lin. If Lakers do decide to sign Lin, my downplaying Lin’s value.

  • james brown

    like these words from Jeremy:

    All-Star Break
    Posted by JLin

“Even though I can’t always see where my career is headed, I know
who I’m following and that gives me the comfort and the strength to
    press on joyfully.”
    because…

I’m learning to better walk by faith — to trust that God turns
everything for my good and that His plans for me are always perfect.”

  • james brown

    and this one:

Lakers’ Jeremy Lin is on a roll after All-Star break
    Posted by JLin

” I’m reminding myself that regardless of the results, just play, play
for God. It seems like very basic, but when you care a lot about the
game, you really care about the results, obviously.”

  • CJSHYY

Lin & Boozer seem to get along well… This was from today?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Every time Jordon Clarkson was in, the team starts crumbling. What Byron Scott needs to do in the 4Q is to call a timeout to rest the players instead of putting new players in. Immediately Kelly had a TO and Jordon Clarkson disrupted the flow of the game. The worse part is when Ed Davis was out in 4Q, the Heats totally dominated the board.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Probably BS should let Lin come in late in the third Q to play with Jordon Clarkson. Then Lin and Ellington can play the 4Q. Playing Ellington over 40 minutes is not a wise decision. Of course, that is only true when Byron starts Jordon Clarkson.
The best scenario still is to start Lin and let Jordan Clarkson play from the bench to give Lin or Ellington a rest in between.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I don’t want Lin on the bandwagon of Kobe and BS again.
Laker is toxic to any players in the league except Ronnie Price.

  • MoominFloren

    Hornets game

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Stu and Worthy are really out of line. Worthy picked up his BS lately and started giving fans trash in his postgame comments. I couldn’t expect anything positive from Stu anyway.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Nop Charlott Hornets game. Look at the top. That’s what it said. Pic is just surfaced. I like it:-)

  • Kwok Wai Lai

This organization is so messed up with the ex-Lakers that they pay no attention to scout for talents.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s a big loss. This is a seven footer who can protect the rim and block shots. How could you miss on that? Again the most important thing for the Lakers to do is to get rid of Kobe and BS before they do any more damages.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Nobody think Byron Scott is normal.

  • FrankW

I know papa Lin is a PhD engineer but he scare the dickens

Heard on nba radio…something about assist is recorded for the passer.if the receiving player get foul….The way assist is currently recorded doesn’t accurately reflect the points created by the assist…here is my proposal…assist should be equal to the amount of points it created be it 1, 2 or 3…for example: let say Jlin pass to Ed and Ed slam the ball and get foul..if Ed make the ft then Jlin will get 3 assists , if Ed miss the ft then Jlin get 2 assists…. This way a quick glance will shows the assist impact on the game… feel free to comment

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy at age 26 has shown himself to be as good a prospect in the FA market as Goran Dragic.
It is pretty obvious when you match Dragic with Jeremy.
In the off season, Dragic will ask for a max contract, how much would you give to Jeremy?
Montgomery, if you want to get a fat piece out of Jeremy’s contract, start working right now to find Jeremy a home.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

At the right time! Thank God.
The beauty is that Jeremy only have dozens of games left for two months. I can safely assume he will be in good health situation to play for any team except Knicks, Rockets and Lakers. Send in your application for his service. A note to the GMs: don’t expect a cheap bargain for Linsanity Prime. You won’t get it.

  • Rookie75094

repost from below… I really like some input on this….Heard on nba radio…some proposal about… assist is recorded for the passer.if the receiving player get foul….The way assist is currently recorded doesn’t really accurately reflect the points created by the assist…here is my proposal…assist should be equal to the amount of points it created be it 1, 2 or 3…for example: let say Jlin pass to Ed and Ed slam the ball and get foul..if Ed make the ft then Jlin will get 3 assists , if Ed miss the ft then Jlin get 2 assists…. Currently, NBA do record this, but not captured as part of AST,

  • MoominFloren

HIs hope of finishing the season strong is granted! The 2 areas (turnover & playmaking) that he would like to work on have already shown an impressive progress!

Lin also mentioned that he and his family spent most of the time in hotel room for playing mahjong & monopoly……..are you kidding me? playing mahjong in a hotel room? I used to be a front office manager of a hotel, certainly I would kick him out of my hotel, and blacklist him maybe. Then, I would invite them to go to my place, they could play mahjong all night long, I could be his personal Cantonese Mahjong tutor (I assume he plays Taiwanese mahjong only)…..Oh yes, I have a guest bedroom for Lin……

  • TWCSN is forced to change their poll due to Lin’s post-ASG strong plays

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lakers pull out a win tomorrow.

  • Rookie75094

then I think it should…. thanks for the info.

  • CJSHYY

I think not… if they really allow to win then it will be home game for fans not road game. BS already got his tanking formula now… He will control not to win.

  • John Lee

Yeah, give up Whiteside for Hill…que gil! (Spanish speakers get it)

  • John Lee

I think during the Rox days but don’t remember specifics. I tend to keep hater bias stuff out of my head.

  • sport

There are mini mahjong blocks and card versions as well.

  • GoodDayLA

Unfortunately the play of RUssel Westbrook is the talk of the NBA. Lin, on a losing team, is not even causing a blip on the radar. But I think front offices are paying attention.

  • John Lee

I don’t like RW’s play, but he sure works hard and has good work ethic.

  • GoodDayLA

he is very talented in his own way. Lin is more orchestra conductor. While Russ is like 1 man show Yoyo ma.

  • sport

Totally agree, preseason is truly pointless.

  • John Lee

I suppose after Melo, Harden and Kobe many of us are tired of one-man-show type of players. That said, there are some that excel at the art and is able to carry the team, such as RW, and those who aren’t such as Kyrie Irving.

  • sport

It’s exactly his one man iso show that will keep him and Kevin Durant from ever winning a Championship! KD can be so much more under the right coach and team. I’m sure if Phil was still healthy and coaching he’d choose KD as his star for a new Championship team.

  • GoodDayLA

We can also all tell if Lin was getting 36-38 minutes instead of 28-29 minutes and Ed and Boozer were playing more with him instead of stiffs like Hill and a newbie Clarkson at crunch time that Lin would be really taking heads and getting better stats.

I think the Lakers are letting Lin play right now thinking that is enough to keep him around. Unfortunately, they are making a mistake and just helping Lin get too big a contract that LA will not be willing to match for someone they want off the bench.

Great for Lin and Lin fans. Not so good for Lakers.

I do not see Lakers giving this team to Lin this summer. Kobe is just going to kill the mojo of everyone around when he returns and he will return.

  • Keith

I was looking for this picture for my avatar. Thanks

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jeremy is the lone attraction left for the Lakers. However Byron was the one who started DNP-CD him until it raised almost a riot. Who is going to watch the Laker games left without Jeremy!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boozer is a charm, a great teammate and a good sport; not like Kobe.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    The dance is great!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    I do.

  • MoominFloren

Oh yes, but it’s no fun playing the mini / card version.
I once had a guest reserved a suite for pre-wedding party or something like that. They did bring along a portable mahjong table and try to play at night…..After the warning, I thought they had played the most quiet mahjong game ever haha

  • MoominFloren

Computer game can’t compare with the real one.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It is difficult to keep anyone who wants to play with Kobe anymore.
    Enough is enough.
Davis, Boozer and Lin would all be gone!

  • takemeback2reaganyears

You’re right. Last season they still had Gasol n Nash on the sideline plus Datoni was excited to watch. Now if without lin? I can’t imagine.

  • Maknusia

Below is an example from the Heats game…SAST = secondary assist and FTAST = AST that was fouled and leads to FT

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The beauty is that Lakers was in all the games they lost in the 4Q.
All of the games since ASG were close.
How many of those game could have been won if they weren’t tanking?

  • Brewkowski

Are the commentators stupid Orr are they being asked to spin it… If so, for what reason? Increase JC market / trade value?

  • Rick Johnson

Perhaps with Rondo fizzling out and Dragic probably staying in Miami (will use Lakers to get better contract) they want to see what they have in Clarkson. Though he scores he can’t run team so that option may be closing too.

  • BobbyH

What is the point of self getting 43 points with 14/32 FA but the team lost? OKC lost to Bulls 105-108.

  • nodomo

What comedy from Morey. Harden and defense in the same sentence??

Currently, Curry and Harden are the two most likely MVP award recipients, according to the Bovada Sportsbook. Curry’s odds are listed at 1-2, and Harden’s are at 1-3. Entering Thursday, the Warriors have the West’s leading record at 47-12, and the Rockets are in fourth place at 41-20.

“[Harden has] generated more wins than any player in the league by a huge margin,” Morey told ESPN.com’s Tom Haberstroh last weekend during the annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.

“For our team, he’s the engine that makes us go. In terms of his scoring, obviously he’s leading the league in scoring, but it’s efficient scoring, it’s not like he’s taking a lot of shots to get there. He’s generating the most points off his passes as well. So he’s the engine that makes us go, and this year, for anybody who has analyzed it, his defense is way improved. So he’s a two-way player leading us to third in the West, and we’ve been climbing and fourth in the league overall.”

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Hero ball at best!
As long as there are fans getting excited over this, NBA teams will keep on selling this type of games.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott is the only coach who would bench his top rebounder when the team is out-rebounded by and large.

  • MoominFloren

Even you are an elite soloist like Yoyo Ma, you still need a few other instrumentals to enrich the performance.

I can’t tell if taking 3x% of team FG is good or not, though he’s making 4x% of them. But I bet many players won’t enjoy playing with him.

  • Grace Nsns

for individual game? wow good to know.

  • grover chang

Boozer is cool, professional, and looks on the bright side. I think he has been a good influence on Lin psyche.

People give Cuban way too much credit. It was Cuban who gave up on NASH when he was just coming into his prime sighting that NASH was too fragile and at the tail end of his career. Lol, NASH was never even offered a contract after turning the Mavericks around. Nash really wanted to stay in Dallas but Cuban basically insulted Nash. Meanwhile The Suns pulled out all the stops to recruit Nash and even the owner went to visit him in Dallas to make a pitch for his services. A year Later, Nash was a 2 time MVP, proving to Cuban that he was a fool to let him go.

People may have their own opinions but I see Divine intervention in Byron’s decision to use Lin.

  • IsabeliJane*17

We meet again, Jeremy’s Adidas Flux…

  • Samuel

Not really, I just want Lin to play for a ballhogger free team where he can start, and handle the ball, call plays just like any other PGs in the league.

  • Maknusia

    Yes, each individual game

  • Samuel

Cleakrson is -57 after the break
Lin is +41 after the break
that’s all you need to know..

  • Maknusia

you know well, you are breaking the rules “Cleakrson”…comeon man

  • leeda harun

I think Elis also another ballhogger…..some players dosent change

  • Tey Ling

In Lin recent CNY blog he has stated that “thus far this season has been quite a learning experience….it’s something I would never want to go through again…” to me this is a strong indication he will not resign with Lakers if things remain as in 1st half of this season.

  • Limited options at PG in the looming FA and Lin’s strong plays lately will possibly get him multiple good offers.
Let’s hope he keeps getting stronger.

If Dragic and Rondo are the big names, Lin can be in the running for top available PGs. Some GMs might be hesitant with Rondo’s poor shooting and chemistry lately.

    http://www.ibtimes.com/jeremy-lin-news-lakers-guard-playing-well-free-agency-looming-1837878

Even though he’s not close to being a top player at his position, the limited options in free agency could make him attractive to some teams looking for point guard depth. The 2015 class will be led by players like Kevin Love, LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol, but they are all frontcourt players.

Goran Dragic and Rajon Rondo will be the most coveted point guards. Brandon Knight, Reggie Jackson, and Patrick Beverley are all in the final years of their contract, but they are restricted free agents and less likely to switch teams.

  • Maknusia

Thanks…those are great in terms of numbers and carrying the team

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The whole franchise is petrified by the Black Mamba. They see no other talents.

  • Lin’s aggressive mentality to shoot-first and pass when covered have been so spectacular to watch.
I still can’t my mind over how Lin managed to prevent TO with a spin-backward pass to Boozer resulting in an assist.

So that’s the #1 ingredient. BScott’s willingness to accommodate with PnR is the 2nd but I’m not sure if Kupchak gave him a little nudge to test what JLin can do for them for the rest of season.

I’m hoping Lin keeps getting stronger by every game.

  • Rookie75094

    rondo stat line.. 19 min 4 pts 4 reb 5ast 4 TOV -6… Lol

  • he filled up the stat sheet like Lin .. but in the wrong way =)

  • IsabeliJane*17

-Blazers and Grizzlies should do everything to keep LaMarcus and Marc respectively. If either or both team will not, their GM/s deserve to be fired and banned from working in the NBA offices.
-I already feel sorry for the team where Kevin Love might go to. If he’ll stay in Cavs, I feel sorry for the Cavs
-Goran Dragic as coveted point guard? Sure. Rondo as coveted point guard? Why in the world?
-Jeremy getting offers from other teams? OH YES DEFINITELY.
-Will Lakers make a counter offer? YES. They can act blind for all they can, but they definitely see what Jeremy brings to the franchise, in financial, viewership, and the game itself.

  • Rookie75094

Yeah and I hope the lakers sign him to the max…hehe…I will definitely get the popcorn ready

  • at this rate, Lin will get multiple offers as starting PG, not just backup, I think =)
7th in PER post-ASG, right? Quite a good resume

I’m baffled by teams that would want Rondo esp. with the poor plays & shooting of late but NBA teams just like to roll a dice.

  • I’ll open another bottle of champagne if that happens LOL

  • Michael

Great way to alienate all the players on the team Mr. Morey.

  • Rookie75094

The mavs are down by 15 and rondo is doing his best…guess his best is not good enough…Kobe is definitely rolling out the red carpet for rondo next year.

  • leeda harun

for me personaly I hope Lin stays healthy, play his game and stay strong till the end of the season.

  • deesee5
  • Rookie75094

  • leeda harun

    I agree

  • Rookie75094

Mavs lost … thanks to rondo.

  • Acbc

The really annoying thing is that these writers have never done a lick of homework or think for themselves. If LIN had played like Rondo or Dragic, he would have been crucified. Instead, LIN is never recognized by anything great he’s done, but rather on any single bad game he has. Meanwhile Rondo is judged on his pass and Dragic is judged by his one season of glory with the Suns. Linsnaity is label as a fluke and any little misstep is used to label LIN as his true value.

It’s such an obvious double standard.

  • John Lee

It must’ve been the subject he was best at while at MIT Mgmt:
“How to insult and alienate your team members 101”

  • kauaiblue

Awesome! Knowing his cryptic style, this is his way of saying scotts and kb style is icky

  • Rookie75094

Mavs scored 75 pts…lowest of the season. ..and yes I blame it on rondo.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Patrick Beverley will definitely switch team from what I know about Morey! He will not give a fair contract to Beverley.
Brandon Knight might not want to play with Eric Bledsoe and so he would probably leave Phoenix too; I expect the Suns continues to be out of the playoff races for years to come after signing Bledsoe and trading Dragic and Isaiah Thomas.

For Dallas giving Rondo a max contract is insane. So the Lakers might just get what they want if Kobe can convince Kupchak to give Rondo a max contract.
Reggie Jackson might just stay in Detroit.
Dragic might want to stay in Miami if he can get along with Dwyane Wade.

Now Jeremy Lin in Linsanity Prime suddenly becomes one of the most highly sought PG of the future. The competition will come from Brandon Knight & Patrick Beverley. Well Jeremy is in good shape to get an excellent contract.

  • IsabeliJane*17

GMs who covet Rondo are quite lazy. They have all these people working for them providing them stat and scouting reports and they don’t do anything about. More horrendous if they are actually watching the games and STILL would give him a max contract.

The Divine Intervention seems to be at work after the ASG.
I wonder what’s triggering Linsanity Prime. But Jeremy seems inspired to play better and better. This is an understatement because Jeremy actually dominates the game even when Lakers is tanking.

If Ronnie stayed healthy, Byron wouldn’t have to play Jeremy and he probably wouldn’t since Lin remains the least favourable PG for Byron.

Other PGs available on the market seems to stay on their current teams. Those on the list are Goran Dragic, Reggie Jackson, Rondo seems to be a Laker with Kobe craving for him and he constantly has problem with Rick Carlisle.

Suddenly things are looking up for Jeremy.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Ellis will opt out and probably be gone after this season.

  • CJSHYY

They let him run more O now…Wants to keep him?

  • CJSHYY

Haha! He took more shots now.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • Kwok Wai Lai

You will be a fool if you start recruiting Lin right now. First it isn’t allowed because it’s against NBA rule before Lin becomes a free agent. Second, there is no point to arouse anyone’s attention now to Jeremy to make him harder to get.

In the off season, I’ll expect Chandlers and Stoudmire may probably call up Jeremy.

  • CJSHYY

Oh! No… I hope Lin keeps healthy only 22 games to go.

  • John Lee

I agree for the most part. Not only did he let go of Nash, he also let go of Tyson right after winning the championship. That’s a dumb move on so many levels, most of all gratefulness and loyalty.

That said, he is still better than Morey, so I remain somewhat optimistic because he signed CP25 with big $ to stick it to Morey, and he might do it again with Lin. The only uncertainty I have is whether the man is (still?) holding a grudge against Jeremy for not having signed with Mavs after they gave him his only chance at an NBA ticket.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I hope Kobe get Rondo as his teammate.

  • John Lee

NBA players are dropping like birds due to injury, too many b2bs are killing the teams. Maybe it’s a scheme to promote Spurs-style team play (resting starters)?

  • John Lee

…and Melo. It’ll be fun watching the three fight over one ball.

  • blubell

It is strange that Lakers, of all teams, didn’t do CNY night or jerseys. Kobe and Jeremy are huge in Asia and lots of AA fans in LA…

  • Acbc

    The force wasn’t with him.

  • leeda harun

when a team depend on one or two players only to carry the team…..well…. injuries always happens

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Thanks for decoding the scenario to us.

Lin should never go back to NY Knicks, Houston Rockets and LA Lakers.

He could make life difficult for Knicks by signing with Brooklyn. Brooklyn should trade Deron Williams to get back something in order to get Lin over there. Dallas should try to get Lin with Rondo and Ellis leaving Dallas. That would really piss Morey off. LA Clippers should try to recruit Lin and I betcha that the Clippers is going to make LA the Clipper City.

  • CJSHYY

    Wow! He said so… Ya!

  • leeda harun

yeah…really weird…as if the FO wants to remain neutral..

  • blubell

    Or perhaps too much force…

  • Kwok Wai Lai

After watching the highlights of the last games, my conclusion is that Lin has created tons of turnovers and offensive charges in addition to the 4 steals. Hope Lin continue his head up plays and carry over to the next game.

  • CJSHYY

Did he write this before or after ASG?! Lakers changed their attitude to Lin a lot now….

  • Kwok Wai Lai

That is most a guarantee when the tank commander is at work.

  • John Lee

NBA team executives, not unlike mega-company CEOs, are often idiots. Just exactly how many titles do the Spurs have to win to show the error in the ISO-centric approach to basketball?

  • John Lee

The Force was never with him, unlike Luke and Leia.

But seriously, bystanders testified that a TIE-Interceptor was spotted in the vicinity moments before the crash.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes that is my reaction as well. JLin, please stay healthy.

  • kittyhead

Without Ellis,Tyson,Nowitzki…Mavericks will start to rebuild around Parsons…such a horrible team!! But if Cuban couldnt keep
Ellis, then Rondo will stay, I guess.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Ellis is going to opt out. Rondo seems to be in trouble. They get the Big men from NY. Tyson Chandler seems to be in his contract year. Stoudemire is playing at veteran minimum so he has a lot to say about the roster next year. Parsons is a buddy of Lin. Lin even works well with Greg Smith. The plot thickens.

If Rick Carlisle is given between a decision to recruit a PG, who else will he covet. I think in the off season, the Rockets will definitely offer Lin a contract and I hope Lin to go somewhere else.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The’re going in the opposite directions.

  • Yes, let’s hope & pray for Lin’s health to keep getting stronger games to be the talk of the GMs by season’s end!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I have my NBA TV subscription for 2 years. I definitely will consider renewal next year with Lin playing against the Lakers.

  • Some people still have a mental block on what Ball players are supposed to look like in the form of bias. Lin’s strong plays will quiet down the haters slowly but surely

  • Yes, so true. Health is #1!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Rondo couldn’t get the offense going. Any time the team scored only 75, you should fire your PG; oh sorry, he couldn’t be fired.

  • yes, these GMs need to be fired if they offer Rondo large contracts.
    It just doesn’t make sense.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Specially after Lin playing against these so called top PGs in the league; heads will start rolling to see the Linsanity Prime.

Tough love: Jeanie Buss promises changes if Lakers don’t hit timetable
    http://www.dailynews.com/sports/20150305/tough-love-jeanie-buss-promises-changes-if-lakers-dont-hit-timetable

    Part article:
“I’ve been assured by our basketball operations that the team will be back in contention soon. If we are not meeting those goals, then changes have to occur,” Buss said in a recent interview with Los Angeles News Group in her office at the Lakers’ practice facility in El Segundo. “I have no reason not to believe them when they tell me that’s what they can deliver. I don’t see what would be holding them back.”

Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak recently reported he will prioritize the team’s financial flexibility and youth this summer over signing veteran free agents, a strategy that might compromise Kobe Bryant’s quest to win his sixth NBA championship in the 2015-16 campaign in what could mark his 20th and last NBA season. Lakers executive vice president of player personnel Jim Buss, who is Jeanie’s brother, has promised the Lakers would reach the Western Conference Finals within three years.

    And if not?

“Then we owe it to our shareholders, fans and partners that we have to move in a different direction to get this team back into contention,” Jeanie Buss said. “We made a commitment that we would operate the team the way Dr. Buss ran it.”

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Nothing will go wrong with Byron cutting down on Jeremy’s minutes as much as he can. Jeremy will be the healthiest guard in the Lakers. Kobe and Byron will MAKE sure Lin won’t get overworked.

  • leeda harun

I guess the Busses are on hot seats right now….must save the franchise or else.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

You know we all love Jordan Cleakrson at our heart no matter how we make fun of his stats. He’s just a rookie. He’s doing well beyond our expectation. Let’s give Jordon 3 cheers to make up for the joke.
    Cheer Cheer Cheer!

  • CJSHYY

This is also concern for me if Lin really stays… so what’s her plan for change….

  • sport

Spurs would have to have a 3 peat before they wake up!

  • Hm, maybe it’s Jim Buss who ordered a test-drive of Linsanity to Kupchak/BScott so he won’t get fired in 3 yrs LOL

  • Jeanie probably wanted to fire Jim Buss

  • sport

I’m all for Mavs being Lin’s next team if Ellis the hater and ball hog that is top3 in shot attempts is out!

  • leeda harun

yes. .. an act of desperation…hmmm

  • sport

Kobe only has 1 more year, no way will Mitch sign a veteran especially a PG who can’t score in Rondo and has TOs as much as his assists! If they were smart they’d choose to pay Kobe earlier with a buyout since there’s no way he can play a full season now. Not to mention, one more year of Kobe “the retirement tour” will just keep the Lakers from rebuilding! But if Lin does leave, I hope he puts up another 30+ pt game against Kobe!

  • Rick Johnson
  • leeda harun

    I am curious also…more kind of worry…haha

  • the whole thing is all politics as Joyce has said.

Now Jim can see he can’t rely on Kobe to get to Western Conf. Finals in 3 yrs. He has to save his own job and will consider options to get excitement for Lakers fans or getting back to playoff contention soon.

Jim Buss might need Linsanity to save his job more than Lin needs Lakers now.

PS: Maybe he’s watching Linsanity DVD for research now! LOL

  • The Curse of Black Mamba?

  • sport

Melo chose money over Championship already, if not he wouldn’t have stayed with the Knicks when his buddy, Lebron was building his new team.

  • kittyhead

    I hope not…I count stand Kobe for 1 or 2 years more…Nooooooooooooooooooooo ;(

  • If Linsanity manages to excite Lakers season ticket-holders in the last 20+ games, we won’t have to worry too much about the Busses plan as long as Kobe is out of the picture =)

  • they keep repeating “Spurs is getting older” in the past 6 years but keep winning rings LOL

  • sport

Lin is not going to LA Clippers when Chris Paul is there.

  • Brent Yen

I think if Jim really sensed the pressure, he will go all out for 2 all-stars in FA…ditch Lin and everyone else..

  • PPP

People said that they can only get 1 max player, not 2. Still wonder who wants to come other than rondo.

  • sport

Well the promise was getting Lakers into playoffs, not NBA Finals. It’s easy to do if they keep Lin and get rid of Kobe.

  • PPP

    In terms of cap space

  • sport

All Jim Buss needs to do is get some of Lin’s ex teammates in Novak and Landry and get rid of Jordan Hill.

  • My #1 best scenario for Lin in LA is this:

    1. Linsanity manages to excite Lakers season ticket-holders in the last 20+ games that fans and media want Lakers to offer generous 3-yr contract for Lin to play backup to Kobe
    2. Lin declines politely in the off-season but chooses to be reunited with MDA in Denver or ORL to recreate an even better Linsanity with 2 yrs contract
    3. In 2015-16 season, Kobe plays only 20+ games before ASG break but so plays so horribly that he decides to retire during the ASG event in Feb. Lakers fans misses Linsanity excitement badly that they demand for the return of Lin as Linsanity goes viral in the NBA
    4. After 2 years of Linsanity fever in the NBA, Lakers tempt both Lin and MDA to come back to the Lakers along with Knicks and HOU but Lin is always a loyal guy and decides to resign with the Magic and goes to DisneyWorld to celebrate!

  • Actually, Jim Buss made a silly promise

Lakers executive vice president of player personnel Jim Buss, who is Jeanie’s brother, has promised the Lakers would reach the Western Conference Finals within three years.

  • CJSHYY

But the problem is Mitch only said next year MAYBE will be Kobe’s last year. Why only MAYBE? Mtich said will not sign old vet w lots of money but not said he will not give Kobe extend contract again.

Kobe now said he thinks RW, Irving & Harden it’s the best candidate to replace him?! No more Rondo after what Mitch said…. So it’s possible they only buy more time for RW can be free in 2016?

I still don’t buy anything they do for Lin now bc like I said long long time ago… Lin will back to starting lineup for sure bc that’s part of the deal to resign him. What they do for Lin now just to make him happy & believe they will let him run O…..but for how long & when Kobe comes back… what then? Still big ???? No guarantee anything after you sign the contract.

  • leeda harun

may your vision comes true 🙂

  • Hear, hear .. Amen =)

  • Rick Johnson

When did that 3 years start. I don’t think it’s 3 years from now, He’s already used up one or two of those three years.

  • CJSHYY

But she is not any better than his brother either.

  • PPP

Simple for me. Lakers offer 70million for 5 years and a no trade cause + a starting role. Contract will be terminated automatically if lin did not start more than 75 games barring injury.

That shows your loyalty to linsanity.

  • John Lee

I’d be happy with 60M, but sure the more the merrier, plus more weight on team’s decision.

  • sport

Oh… in that case Jim Buss’ job is as good as gone unless he builds around Lin. I have 100% confidence that with the right teammates and no selfish ball hogs, Lin can bring his team to Finals! Not to mention if Kobe is there for another year, it’s truly mission impossible. What Jim Buss and Mitch should do is keep the same Laker players as much as possible since they already have chemistry with Lin and a year to run together! And get rid of Ronnie Price, Sacre, and Jordan Hill. Those 3 are really bad and needs to go.

  • Why not? That would be a nice worry-free contract to have for Lin =}

But isn’t Kobe’s contract the last one with no-trade clause? It’s very rare nowadays. I doubt Lakers believes in Lin that much to stake their future. They’re just kicking Linsanity tires at the moment.

The best Lakers contract I can see for Lin is possibly $20-24M 2-yrs contract with player option in the 2nd year if Linsanity goes strong until end of season.

  • CJSHYY

My thought for the offer price will be 10M to 12M per year too.

  • Samuel

    it’s a typo..

  • Rene#17

Just hope that if JLin is hurt from the last game that evil Coach BS doesn’t start to play JLin more minutes. Wouldn’t put it past BS to do damage to Lin.

  • PPP

If linsanity goes strong, why would he take a 2 years contract. Injuries can happen any time ala matthews. He would be 27 comes august.

  • yes, too bad George Karl signed with Sac already.

Their biggest weakness is Center at the moment since they don’t have reliable rim protector so they keep losing leads quickly. Someone like Tyson Chandler.

Then surround Lin with 3pt shooters/slasher like Parsons, vet shooter like Dirk..

Oh well, Lin might as well sign with the Mavs LOL

  • Jeanie doesn’t have good BBall knowledge but she relies on Kupchak who’s quite smart. It’s just Kobe is the thorn in the flesh.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

What Lin needs to do is to improve continuously. I believe Lin has a higher ceiling too,. The last game with the Heats could have been won if it’s not a back to back game.

Lin can still improve beyond Linsanity Prime………

He is at the level of Goran Dragic and a better version of Lin is at the All-star level. Lin is more athletic than people have given him credits simply because he didn’t dunk the ball often enough.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I think every player all like long team contract.

  • yes, Lakers is so complicated with politics that we never know if Kobe’s venom will rear its ugly head again.
Best to stay away for now. I want to see Linsane growth next season, not the same old NBA dirty politics. Hope JLin sees it the same way we do

  • chan c

he he … ’seems like a prophetic vision to me. 🙂

all we could ever wish for, psalm.

  • Samuel

Westbrook averages more than 30 shots per game lately, Barkley said after the game that a PG should never take this many shots, and the team will not win when your PG takes 30+ shots per game.

  • Samuel

he is more of a BHG like Harden and Kobe.

  • Maknusia

Clarkson’s fellow point guard, Jeremy Lin, can relate to the rookie. As the first Chinese- and Taiwanese-American in NBA history, Lin knows the value of having an international fan base like Clarkson.

“I’m thankful that the fans care that much and they care about me,” Lin said. “I truly know that whatever team I go to, they’ll support me. It’s a great feeling to have. Not everyone gets to have that unique platform.”

For his part, Clarkson is making the most of his platform. Though he is ineligible to play for the Philippines national team due to a FIBA rule that mandates players acquire dual citizenship before they turn 16, Clarkson is looking to secure an exemption so he could play for Gilas Pilipinas.
“It definitely would mean a lot,” he said. “It’s just one of those things you want to do, like how I want to make my city proud and make that country proud as well.”

The 22-year-old also wants to make his first trip to the Philippines this summer. He hasn’t yet worked out the details for his visit, but Clarkson looks forward to seeing his mother’s home country.

  • LOL … it’s pretty sad that TWCSN people think knowledgeable BB fans will buy into the lies that ‘BScott finally empowered JLin’ and it was all JLin’s fault to struggle in the 1st half.

It makes Worthy lose credibility as a BB analyst just because he’s a friend with BScott.
    But that’s his loss, really.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know. They continue to think fans are “stupid” and buy into their narratives. They are really behind their time. • JLin Fan from Australia

Not going to worry about it. JLin’s goals are: being a starter and getting a ring. So, he will choose this over his comfort of staying in CA. He will make the right choice when it’s time to make the decision.

  • sport

Well the shot clock alarm went off which confused him into thinking the game was over. But why did he go off since CP’s ball touched the rim.

  • Samuel

Grizz tonight, hoping for a double double game from Lin 🙂

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I know you will come to the same conclusion as I do. After all, everything Jeremy needs is already there in Dallas waiting him to put them together for a championship run. What Dallas needs to do is to allow Don Nelson to run the organization and Mark Cuban to lay off.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

You can bet on that. They can only win when Rondo is benched.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

This is what every of JLin has hoped for the past couple games. We really want a double double (大伯) in this game. So many when I saw the translation of double double as 大伯 in JLin Chinese fansite:-)

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Nop I have lost my respect to most “hall of famers” and many so called “superstars” now. Only began and continue to watch NBA because of JLin. When JLin retires from NBA, NBA is out of my life for good. I’m truly JLin only fan. No one can replace him.

  • Samuel

double double is 大伯? didn’t know that, but I don’t mind take another 大三元 from Lin tonight, heck make it 大四喜 this time 🙂

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes double double is 大伯. I’m not that greedy:-) Obviously if he can do 大三元 or 大四喜 even better:-) One of my dreams is for him to break his 38pts. Well, am patiently waiting for that:-) At least I still have another 22 games to dream in this season:-)

  • Samuel

Championship? Thunder need to worry about make the playoff first.
I wonder what they are looking for now? win games or another 大三元 from Westbrook..

  • Samuel

My favorite player was Agent Zero, but look what he has done, that totally broke my heart. I was ready to give up on NBA, then I heard of Lin, started to following him and hoping if Lin can make the NBA one day, and he ended up much better than I ecpected..

  • MoominFloren

Why 大伯? 雙雙 is better, sound like double of happiness

  • JLin Fan from Australia

  • Filler-up

    That team is cursed.

  • Maknusia

    Translations please?! 🙂

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Haven’t watched NBA since mid 80s. Then began to watch again in 2013-2014 seasons. Only heard of JLin in June/July 2012. Was only able to watch highlights in 2012-2013. Was able to give up in preseason when I’ve smiled the mistreatment when Nash was out. For a while I lost interest watching the games when JLin was benched because of KB. Glad that things have changed since before ASG.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I’ve done a little bit of translation when it first came out. Basically it said the reporter couldn’t find any JLin Jersey @Staple Center. If wanted to purchase his jersey, went to the net. His merchants were also hard to find. According to the sales person, they haven’t received JLin’s items for a while now. 2 reasons: 1. Team had its limit of new player’s item. 2. JLin was going to be FA. They would like to cut the cost down.

  • joyce ward

Somebody on twitter posted that Lin’s gear can’t be found in LA

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes can’t find in the store. Only can purchase in the net.

  • joyce ward

Good to know, which makes sense. BTW, i wander why Laker’s didn’t celebrate Chinese NY.

  • Maknusia

    Yup…thats overdue now… 🙂

  • JLin Fan from Australia

No idea. I posted a Taiwan news below that JLin was a little disappointed of Lakers didn’t celebrate any CNY. JLin did answer questions in English. Maybe they wanted to trade JLin away???

  • Maknusia

Exactly….there wasnt much that Lin could have done, with insane rotations, not running the PG, different role and positions, insane minutes, not letting him to get into rhythm at all, and then sending him to bench…totally crazy stuff from BScott

  • joyce ward

Still didn’t matter. I think Jeannie did a big snafu with this one. Kobe/Lin have al ot Chinese fans, no reason for them not to celebrate…just sayin…

  • Maknusia

That goes to show how bias they can be…and not speaking the truth…sigh!

  • shumga

With the Knicks it’s a maybe I think, but with the Rockets and Lakers…these teams should be bio-hazard zones for Lin’s future.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know. It’s very odd. JLin is the only Chinese player in whole league and he is in Lakers. Rox and Warriors did have the jersey in Chinese to celebrate CNY and Lakers has done nothing. Very disappointing! Not even sure there was any acknowledgment of Lakers on CNY at all.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Very disappointed with NBA as a whole. The more I learn, the more disgust I’ve become. Only stay to watch because of JLin.

  • joyce ward

They might be mad because China stopped showing Laker games after the All-Star break

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes, am very very disappointed at Lakers. Such a diss to JLin. At least Rox and Warrior were doing much better in this event last year.

  • 1mtoldman

post asg westbrooke is averaging combined fta’s and fga’s around 38. all other high rated point guards since asg (lin included) ave. between 17-21. in other words westbrook is taking 2x’s as many shots as any other pg! no wonder he’s scoring at outrageous numbers.

it is logical to assume that if one takes twice as many shots as everyone else one will score significantly more than anyone else.

its really staggering; with durant out he’s out hardened harden out kobe’d kobe out melo’d melo.

the quesiton will be now that he is addicted even more to this 1 man team concept how will he respond when durant comes back?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Don’t think so. Believe I saw the news of Warrior and Rox did make an announcement of their CNY jersey in preseason. Thought at the time that Lakers might do something about it as JLin was traded to Lakers. Something would be done then. Well, none whatsoever. Wondering it’s another diss/handiwork from KB.

  • joyce ward

I personally think that the lakers are a bit scared right now. They have treated lin very badly and now that he has been unleashed, other teams are lining up for him now. Mitch doesn’t want kobe back because they know that nobody is coming to play with kobe, I think that they like lin/bench because they are a starting unit. They also know that once kobe leaves, the China connection is gone. That is why I say the Lakers have a lot of decisions to make.

  • 1mtoldman

memphis used to be the only western team playing a fast paced low scoring east league game. and all the east teams played that same game. things have merged a little bit as now utah (best defense since the asg i think without checking) and new orleans also play that kind of game (new orleans possibly more by necessity of davis being out so much and other scorers)–and boston (with injection of thomas perhaps) and toronto play more fast paced high scoring games.

memphis still the template tho for west “grind” style.

conley is actually one of the few guards in the league east or west that meet my criteria statistically for a quality pg. tho as with mia. game as current substitution patterns exist lin never plays directly against other teams starting pg. (or very little).

lins minutes to actually run the team on the floor are not very many. but he appears to be capable of doing well within the limits he is afforded.

  • 1mtoldman

double happiness. hmm. sounds like a foreign concept to me defintiely.

  • joyce ward

I said the same thing. He took 33 shots in the game against the Bulls and they still lost. Also the game against the 76ers where he scored 49 points, OKC almost lost to them . That is insane. That is why nobody likes playing with him. He is a one man show.

  • joyce ward

Lin has been more than capable in his limited minutes. I would say that he has become very efficient…smh

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yep. They reap what they sow. They should know better for letting KB and BS mistreat JLin. JLin isn’t soft as KB and BS claim. Chinese has a long memory. They will remember. The only redemption they can do now is firing BS and retiring KB. Otherwise, I don’t think JLin will choose to stay in Lakers no matter how much he likes CA. You can get the sense of it in today’s JLin blog. Don’t think JLin wants to experience the same old thing when KB is back. JLin ain’t stupid. He chooses to forgive but doesn’t mean that he will let others run over him all the times.

    Exactly

  • Samuel

Well, fans can always do it this way and save some money..

  • Samuel

Also speaking of limited edition, good luck for getting one of those jerseys of Lin 🙂

This very interesting quote from lin’s blog:

Spiritually, I have been just trying to focus on my relationship with God rather than always focusing on trying to get somewhere or improve in some way. I guess if I could make an analogy it would go something like this. If I were hanging out with family, I would spend more time just enjoying them and being in their presence rather than obsessing everyday on how I can be the perfect family member/get to the “next level” as a family/accomplish our life goals. Basically, I want to enjoy each day with God and enjoy the journey, rather than always thinking about the destination that I want to get to.

  • Filler-up

It’s starting to feel like Linsanity all over again. Waiting patiently for the next game but with some apprehension on how well our boy is going to perform.

  • Filler-up

    Love it!

  • Spot

Really well said. I’m older than him but i feel like he’s much older than me

  • LDZ

大伯 in Chinese (Putonghua 普通话 or Mandarin 国语) is pronounced as Da Bo (Pinyin 拼音). If you say Double with a Chinese accent, it sounds like Da Bo. You can try paste 大伯 onto Google Translate and listen to it. 大伯 means Uncle who is older than your parents.

Man! this must gonna be long in DJ’s memory haunting him down….pity the guy though

  • joyce ward

I think if Monte Ellis opts out, he will sign with another team. I think Rondo will stay in Dallas if this happens.

  • Maknusia

    Thanks Mel

  • Dorothy

but will Dallas keep Rondo though?

  • joyce ward

I think so, because the clash seems to be that monte is a ball hogger and acts like he is the PG.Rondo needs the ball to be effective.

  • CJSHYY

For some reasons, Mav starts to let Rondo be a PG in the past few games… so maybe w Ellis wants to opts out, Mav maybe want to keep Rondo after all.

  • joyce ward

I think Ellis did announce that he wanted to opt out. I think Ellis will get more money somewherelse than he can get with Dallas.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I think so… Maybe Rondo back to be Mav’s list again.

  • CJSHYY

Just got this from the other side… Looks like Kobe will not let Lin back to starting lineup next season if Lin really stays w Lakers…smh!

“We’re showing film to J.C. a lot and I see that he’s got a lot of upside,” Scott said. “Working with Steve and having Coach Scott and Kobe
Bryant in his corner, you just can’t mess that up. It’s right there and he takes advantage of it.”

Lakers assistant Thomas Scott, Byron’s son, keeps optimism amid losses

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/

  • Maknusia

well…whatever LAL…Jeremy crosses the bridge when he comes to it

  • Charlie S

Didn’t realize BS son was also a coach for the Lakers. Like father like son?

  • 7iger

I think because the shot clock was out b4 the ball touch the rim.

  • 7iger

Kobe probably pass that one unless Lin is the open man.

  • 7iger

My guess, just some Filipino fans there are probably some Taiwanese people that don’t like Lin too.

I am Hmong and I know a few Hmong people that don’t like Lin too and most of them are not really that bright social-wise.

  • 7iger

“Lakers would reach the Western Conference Finals within three years”, good luck if Kobe coming back next years then only 2 years left. LOL.

  • CJSHYY

So weird. I check Lakers store they do have Lin’s jersey why not Staple Center?

  • John Lee

Actually, 大伯 means an uncle who’s older than one’s father. From the mother’s side it would be 大舅.

  • CJSHYY

It’s very difficult bc in 2nd half, his teammates normally will not make the shots?! Tanking I think…

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I hope not… So glad Lin knows well what’s going on in this team.

  • 7iger

    They are clicks baiting.

  • Rick Johnson
  • Maknusia

A Big WOW, Great find and thanks to Nathan to get in touch with Legendary COACH PETE CARRIL

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Ellis is one of the better SG in the league. He can shoot and has a much better shooting % than Kobe in contested shots; Ellis in fact leads the league in taking contested shots. Rondo has never been much of a shooter and his shooting % is not even comparable. Rondo can’t replace Ellis. People think Rondo is a better defender.
Dallas is an offensive team. I still don’t think Rondo is a poor replacement for Ellis.

  • JW

You can tell some bias in his questions. Interesting how Pete says BS’s system is not princeton. And doesn’t seem like he gave BS too much credit for the finals run.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

On the contrary, I think Mark Cuban would offer him at least $12m per year to keep Ellis. Ellis is a fierce competitor and is a ery durable and consistent SG in his career. He actually takes contested shots and shoots better than Dirk. Ellis is a bargain at $8m+ per year is his current contract with Dallas. Dallas is not Dallas w/o Monta Ellis.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Spiritually matured.

  • Rick Johnson

Apparently BScott’s system is “Princeton” in-name-only just like Byron Scott is a coach in-name-only. I don’t recall Lin ever playing Summer League with a Taiwan team. He usually plays with Palo Alto. Perhaps at 84 memory isn’t what it used to be.

  • Brent Yen

Well….lol….obviously I disagree with Jim if he choose to do that

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Give the FO sometime to figure this out.
I hope they fire Byron in the off season and hire a well-known coach with stamina who could stand up to Kobe. Kobe in his last year would have no leverage on the table at all. Mitch has virtually spoken for the Buss family that it’s all for Kobe. Kobe might want to play but Lakers would just let him be a free agent and starts team building with or without him.
Lin is a much better attraction in ticket sales for years to come. IT will take a fool to give up on Lin in order to accommodate Kobe to the end with Byron Scott. Fire Byron and put Kobe in rein is what I can see. Kobe can take it or leave it with his worn out body. Who would sign Kobe unless he wants to play at veteran minimum.
If Jack Nicholson gives up on Lakers with Kobe and Byron, they are goners.

  • JW

PC: I’ve always liked Lin. I actually met him once in California. I was coaching a team in a summer league and we lost three straight to this team from Taiwan. Lin played with them and he was killing us.

I was confused by this as well. I guess he didn’t mean that it was TW national team. Just a team from TW playing summer league in CA. So the caliber of players might not be that good anyways.

  • Filler-up

Kobe is a great player but he doesn’t inspire. MJ inspired. Magic inspired. Bird inspired. Wade inspired. Lebron inspired. Even Iverson inspired. But not Kobe. not Carmelo. Don’t know why’s that.

  • Filler-up

Maybe the team was all Chinese boys.

  • Brent Yen

Those Qs are straight…do not think they are biased…at least not by much. lol

  • Filler-up

With Carlisle as coach, no way is Rondo coming back. He is going to take the money and the easier road. I think Rondo is done as an elite PG.

  • MEM Game Thread is now open!
    http://www.jlinportal.com/g61-lal-mem-game-thread/

Will Linsanity train overturn BScott tank or wait for the Mavs in the next game? Go JLin!

  • JW

He was trying to get Pete to say KB is ball hog, and BS sucks as a coach.

  • Brent Yen

    ANd he answered appropriately…lol

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin played absolutely unselfish basketball and he would get more open looks with opposition spreads the floor.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

That is dissing. Ronnie Price is good but Lin is by and large a much better player. Ronnie didn’t even come close no matter how Kobe set him up in the offense. Kobe iced Lin out and assisted Price but that won’t last. Kobe is history. Lin is the future.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The next contract is crucial to Lin’s career. The FO seems to side with Lin. I still believe the best way to keep Lin is to fire Byron with a good reason. Once and for all, Lakers will start on a new page w/o the ex-Lakers dictating over the franchise. All the Lakers need is a hard headed coach that commands respect from all players and that include Kobe.

  • Filler-up

    preach

  • Kwok Wai Lai

WestBrook lost the game to Chicago.

  • JoeTeam

he he Goron Gecko … greed is good. Ok, I don’t believe that on whole jk.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It depends on Linsanity Prime. Lin has made tremendous progress with teammates. Even Jordan Hill set mighty picks and rolls with him. Lin is making his big men work for him. Byron can take away Davis, Boozer from Lin but Lin is still making do with Hill. Next, Byron has to insert Sacre to ice out Lin.

  • grover chang

The spiritual victory is NOW, faith in the present. The victory is not in the results in the future. The means is the victory the end is dictated by God. Lin is so impressive not just as a basketball player but as a person too.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

At the age of 26, Lin would negotiate for a 4 year contract. Lin is making his teammates work for him. See how he rewarded Jordon Clarkson and Jordon Hill and Wesley Johnson with his passes. The message is clear that Lin will pass if they get open looks. If they couldn’t get open, Lin will draw defenders away from him.
Lin used the picks so well that even Dragic was screened out so many times. Lin is fantastic team player.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

4 years with around $12m per year is not greedy. At present he’s playing at the level of Goran Dragic. The salary shall at least be comparable.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Spurs scouts for real talents. See how they get Kawhi Leonard on the team. It’s an ingenius move. They recognise his talent and potential. Kawhi Leonard is playing at the level above Anthony Davis. He can defend, he can dribble, he can take 3 point shots. He’s just like a power version of Magic Johnson.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I agree that is not an ideal team for Jeremy. Lin doesn’t need that coach.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    I prefer Ellis over Rondo.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Thunder lost to the Chicago at the buzzer. LOL

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Well, Byron can try to insert Sacre for Hill.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Putting Tyler Johnson on Lin is an insult.
Putting Mario Chalmers on Lin is a blessing.
Putting Goran Dragic on Lin makes Lin look good.
Has Wade been on Lin? I guess so.
Lin really made a fool of Beasley.
If this isn’t a BTB game, those shots at the end would go in.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

He’s giving up shots for his big men.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    That is Chinese Valentine Day.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Chalmers playing D. Lin has been making plays over him until Dragic takes over. Lin still use his picks to screen off Dragic. Dragic needs to play more with his teammates to make the chemistry work. He’s not the main option in their plays.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Chalmers had enough of Linsanity Prime that he would rather stay in the East.

  • linspiredinla

It’s from the reporter who interviewed Lin recently on two 60 sec segments. Sounded like there is more coming.
