Ouch RT @SBNationNBA: With Brian Shaw’s firing, Phil Jackson’s coaching tree withers further. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2014/4/22/5639410/phil-jackson-coaching-tree-

    2nd

  • Rookie75094

3rd..and Brian shaw is fired..next up MDA?

  • CJSHYY

Howard should put BS on the list …

  • CJSHYY

Sure hope MDA be the next coach for Nuggets.

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • Rookie75094

yes… please take that job MDA

  • linspiredinla

@KDonhoops: The Nuggets have fired Brian Shaw as head coach, which won’t help much – http://t.co/ISmSNTO7Wn. Maybe not a good team for JLin?

  • linspiredinla
  • Brent Yen

One good thing about playing for Denver, the high-altitude training might benefit Lin a lot. Especially playing away games..

  • linspiredinla
  • linspiredinla
  • Sunny Sullenberger

D’Antoni, HC for the Nuggets? When asked about it, he replied:”There is nothing that motivates me more than being with a group of guys in the coaching room of an organization trying to figure out un-solveable problems,” D’Antoni told Skolnick and Howard Beck, per Bleacher Report SXM. “It’s fun. It’s a competition thing…it’s fun to have a relationship with players like Jeremy Lin, Steve Nash, and watch guys develop.”

  • linspiredinla

Mentioned Jeremy Lin’s name first? Wow! Plus he knows Jeremy needs further development.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Phil would never hire BS as his assistant.

  • Rick Johnson

So perhaps JLin will be targeted by the Nuggets, Mavs, Rockets? If Lakers want to keep him they’d better fire Byron Scott and do something about Kobe.

  • Rick Johnson

Yes, I’ve noticed he doesn’t do well going to Utah and Denver. If he trained there he’d be acclimated.

  • Rick Johnson

Seems like paring Lin with an athletic big like Kenneth Faried might be interesting. He was a star in the World Cup games over the summer. What happened to him this season?

  • Sunny Sullenberger

Ps JLin’s friend Jeffery is working for the Nuggets (a scouting position with the Denver Nuggets)

  • CJSHYY

JJ is not in Nuggets anymore..

  • 1mtoldman

another ex laker guard coach. 1 down. 2 to go.

  • lleepar

Do you know when he left? He’s still listed on the Nuggets staff page …

  • CJSHYY

Really? But I read somewhere said he is back to FL to host some TV program about fishing?!

  • blubell
  • Dan Cohen

    but they have lawson there.

  • Dan Cohen

    LOL

  • CJSHYY

Lawson seemed to be want to out… King maybe wants him?!

  • blubell

Not a fan of TMZ but…
From TMZ: “props to Lin, who’s been going above and beyond the call of duty to help out the less fortunate ever since he moved to L.A. The guy’s a philanthropic force to be reckoned with.”

  • dolphin2k2

PJ was never able to win it all without super stars… His former assistant coach can’t do much better

  • linspiredinla

Perhaps a part time job during off-season? Lin goes deep sea fishing with him, not sure how often.

  • linspiredinla

Like JLin said often “God has the perfect plan for me”. “Whatever happens, it is supposed to happen”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD9Ps28sQ7A

  • dlin3

Stop being Delusional = Denver has Ty Lawson – they don’t need Lin !!!! Geez the people on this board.

  • dlin3

Stop being Delusional = Denver has Ty Lawson – they don’t need Lin !!!! Geez the people on this board!

  • Brent Yen

Stop being offensive. Discussion is just for fun. Geez the anti-delusion/fun ppl on this board..

  • Dan Cohen

but locker room are immature.. who is going to be the locker room leader.. lin is definitely not going to be .. immature people will also make fun of other races.

  • Briiick

If MDA gets the job and Lin, his chance of being successful will be almost guaranteed, without any risk ! And he & Lin have a chance to create another legendary story in NBA history.

  • BobbyH

Still too early with all these MDA rumors. Just wait until July 1st. I sense lots of change hands in the coming summer. Lin will find his home.

  • Rookie75094

    it is fun to speculate.

  • BobbyH

OK. I get it. Let’s have fun before the game.

  • Rookie75094

there is a rumor… karl wants Lawson in sactown

  • Rookie75094

people can change from immaturity…. it’s not a permanent condition

  • Dan Cohen

wishful thinkig.. because it’s not true.. if players doesn’t buy it.. you get nothing. and den’vers locker room is known for their lack of maturity.

  • Brent Yen

I do not even know who are playing for Denver….LOL

  • GoodDayLA

what would Byron Scott tell Lin exactly? Stupid quote because it depends on whether the coach telling the truth is right or not.

I’m sure before Linsanity every coach told Lin to play it safe and not make too many mistakes and play within his obvious limitations ASIDE from Musselman.

Luckily Lin didn’t listen to this “truth” of the other coaches & execs

  • Arsenium12 .

Kemba Walker will miss tonight’s game due to a knee injury. Mo Williams has been playing well for Charlotte.

In his first 5 games with the Hornets since being traded from the Timberwolves Williams has been averaging 23.4 points and seven assists per game, as well as shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.

    See : http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nba/charlotte-hornets/article11945000.html#/tabPane=tabs-b0710947-1-1

  • GoodDayLA

Imagine Lin with the Clipper roster. It would be insane. Or just the freaking Blazer roster.

  • Peter Truong From Riverside CA

    Never say never.

  • Jimmy Buckets

nah lets not get too ahead of ourselves

  • Charlie S

The more coaches that favor JLin’s play style and leadership, the better JLin’s free agency will be.

Potential starting role with: Denver (assuming MDA), Karl, Carlisle, Thibodeau, Brett Brown, Orlando?
    Backup role with: Popp, Budenholzer
Given Kobe money, play for: BS

  • GoodDayLA

I think the post games where the coaches are complimentary of Lin bode well for Lin’s free agency. Lin needs another 20 good games to hammer it home.

  • Jimmy Buckets

Politics also play a big role
Denver has Ty Lawson dont know if F/O will let Ty be benched or will MDA do it?
    Karl has Collison
Thib will still be forced to start rose when hes back and dont see Chi goin after Lin
6ers are re building Lin is gona be 27 next season very unlikely
orlando has many young guards and oladipo is their harden

Pop no he wont know how to use Lin
Budenholzer… maybe but they have shroeder who they like

  • JJ Hui

He is using the same word by word in another reply to someone else, scroll down and you can see.

  • GoodDayLA

All Lin can control is the present. That is why each and every game is an audition for him with the other team. Every single game really matters for Lin now that he is allowed to play his game.

Who knows? The Lakers could shut it back down tomorrow or in 5 games. Lin must play very well every game every time to let the other teams remember and remember it well.

When all other 28 teams remember Lin for the damage he does, it will be a sweet summer for Lin.

I think that is also his current goal, focus on what he can actually control now that he is empowered.

  • Sophie Paris

Just realized something… just one more month and a half to enjoy jlin playing for the season. Omg!!! Kill it tonight Jeremy. Thanks!! xD

  • Brent Yen

    saw that already

  • Michael

Thanks for reminding me to cancel my NBA TV subscription 😛

  • 1mtoldman

good piece by hannah kulik on lakeshowlife: “jeremey lin’s future is starting to look brighter”.

hits most of the points on lin’s season and “mismanagement” by bs.

    http://lakeshowlife.com/2015/03/03/jeremy-lins-future-starting-look-brighter/

  • 1mtoldman

i already referenced that article below. as a good piece. good you can link it. should give her some clicks cause doesn’t appear to be really much of an established writer.

  • JoeTeam

ha ha, MDA saying … hire me and JLin and Imma gonna get you Linsanity nothing more fun!

  • JoeTeam

hehe, no Fish on that tree? see what I mean?

  • Rick Johnson
  • Peter Truong From Riverside CA

    Did he said Jeremy Lamb?

  • linspiredinla
  • JoeTeam

Trade Lawson hehe … anything to get the dynamic duo back together again.

  • Rick Johnson

Kind of sounded like it but I think Lin because he never coached Lamb.

  • If Lin continues to have strong performance esp. against the Mavs in front of Cuban and Parsons, things can get Linteresting in Dallas from now until the summer FA.

  • Peter Truong From Riverside CA

It sound like Lamb to me too. He can’t even remember Lin name

  • linspiredinla
  • Grace Nsns

lol the most out-of-touch, grumpiest coach,

  • 1mtoldman

mo williams since coming over is like the entire charlotte team. hes playing the entire game, taking like combined 25 shots a game (fg’s and ft’s) and averaging like 25 pts (just quick look at game log not exact #’s). be interesting to see what he does vis a vis lin and clarkson.

  • Sophie Paris

Linning starting at 4th Q. Lol

  • 1mtoldman

scott looks really happy at start of the game. happier than i ever seen him at a game, he must be confident the tank is in 2nite.

  • Chipdip

Anyone has a good link to the game? thank you

  • BobbyH

Where is the infamous Princeton O?

  • BobbyH

Lin checked in at 6:05 mark

  • hm… very curious

  • BobbyH

    1 assist and a 3

  • BScott prob. tried to cool Lin by playing next to Sacre.
First play, boom .. assist to Sacre! LOL

  • man, Lin took that charge well

  • chan c

I am unable to watch so , I will rely completely on your blow by blow account! Thanks! 🙂

  • BobbyH

    a mid range 2. 5 points already

  • Lin is super hot. Draining long midrange with ease!

  • Superc74

Here’s one question to ponder upon …. would Jeremy Lin be playing in the 4th quarter these past few games if Ronnie Price had not been done for the season? I think not.

  • Alaingrvis

    5 points 3 assist

  • BobbyH

    another assist. 3 total.

    Stu said Lin under control.

  • chan c

Here’s to hoping the amazing run continues… 🙂

    Go JLin!

  • 1mtoldman

    4 min.

  • KL

5 points and 3 assists in just 4 minutes. Great start!

  • orLinaryjoe

Sacre looks like is playing better than Hill.

  • 1mtoldman

    thats just sad.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Very

  • 1mtoldman

thats the 1 thing johnson can do is dunk.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

“No. Sacre is too good. Send in something cold for Lin”
Jeremy has to play against his coach.

  • BobbyH

    What a chuck JC is.

  • Alaingrvis

8 shots is crazy. He is a sg.

  • Lin was smart to get a quick 2-for-1 to get the ball back for last possession
Just a bit short on jumper

  • Brent Yen

    He was fouled…I think

  • JoeTeam

jc looking for his own kobe easy midrange instead of A with Lin for open 3.

  • Acbc

TMZ only does that to build people up so that they can tear them down. They are the lowest of the low. Don’t take any stock in anything they have to say or you’ll be disappointed.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes I’ve seen it but there is no link. That’s why I put the link in:-)

  • JoeTeam

    he he …

  • Alaingrvis

I don’t know. He is a player so he will ask for it even when he isnt

  • Rzo Vlade

jlin will coast to coast it…….jc is a chucker

  • 1mtoldman

this is the lin time now first half of second quarter. with clakrson playing the entire first quarter lin only gets these brief periods like half a quarter to actually control the game. and basically all things considered you get now the lakers best available lineup. go lin.

  • wandertheglobe

    no foul? lin was hammered

  • That Hill fadeaway air-ball is not the most beautiful footwork ever

  • BobbyH

Hill is himself again, another TO. 0-5

  • JJ Hui

Hill is killing the team and no one help Davis when he was trapped!

  • CJSHYY

BS planed it that way on purpose… tanking.

  • chan c

    He should sit then…

  • chan c

    Where’s Davis? Is he in?

  • JoeTeam

not really a good source of ideas in life.

  • Alaingrvis

Hill was terrible thank goodness he is off

  • JJ Hui

Yes, i seldom see him passing the ball to Lin! He passed to other people even Lin was opened in other games!

  • Chipdip

    LIN+Davis! Yeah!!!!

  • orLinaryjoe

    Lin head up steal

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is making Stephenson very miserable. Two steals from him.

  • Brent Yen

How many ast did Lin get?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    5 dimes

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin has taken Stephenson out of his game!

  • Brent Yen

    Again….Parker like pass..he evolved..

  • Kwok Wai Lai

6 assists before the half. Lin is running the point so effectively.

  • BobbyH

    Assisat No 6 to Ed

  • 1mtoldman

he can make it look easy.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin Boozer and Davis has great chemistry in their passing game.

  • Rick Johnson

Davis got to work on those FT’s

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The tank commander doesn’t want to win. He takes Davis out!

  • chan c

Might be in for a double-double huh?

  • BobbyH

Lin’s D is annoying, to the PG he has guarded. Trap the lane, denied the pass, follow all the way, just can’t get rid of him.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron the snake is throwing new players to Lin after they scored.

  • chan c

Again??? He’a doing it again just like the last time??? Aaargh

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Byron’s rotation is absolutely depressing!
Every time Lakers is about to make a run.
    Byron change the lineup!!!

  • JoeTeam

    dd time?

  • Alaingrvis

Shot is a bit off today. He is about to sit. Hopefully he gets going next haif. Still playing great.

  • Allen Wayne

I think he will take it as a compliment.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is so desperate to loss. He took Lin out!

  • 1mtoldman

as i said earlier the tank is clearly in this game as scott looked really happy before the game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott is doing what the opposition coach wants to stop the Lakers.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Hill needs to chose his shot wisely, he’s hurting the team and Lin’s assist stat.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The team is already all fired up despite Byron is so desperate to loss the game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s Byron against his own team.

  • chan c

    Lol

  • chan c

    What’s the score?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    46:42 Lakers:Hornets

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Wesley, you’re doing too well! out!
    YOur coach said so.

  • John Lee
  • CJSHYY

Haha! Ya! I think in 2nd half no more Johnson…LOL! More Hill playing time.

  • Alaingrvis

Wes has 15 minutes Lin 13stright. The way to solve this issue is to start them

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boozer is doing too well. He will be the next one out.

  • wandertheglobe

I rarely see lakers bigs pass out of the block for an open 3. They usually chuck up midrange 2s

  • Kwok Wai Lai

after the rotation. game is tied. Byron is desperate to kill the momentum.

  • JoeTeam

    he’s good.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is so desperate to kill the momentum of the Lakers through his incredible rotation.

  • Brent Yen

I wanna watch TWC praising Hill…to bring the joke to the next level

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The joke is on the ex-Lakers. They’re incredible.,

  • chan c

    Thanks!

  • CJSHYY

Ya! BS needs to loss bc Lakers won 16 already & Magic won 19… I think he didn’t want anyone to play well to win… LOL!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

How is it a tie game when the momentum is almost totally swung to the Lakers.
The snake just keeps on substituting until the Hornets caught up.
What kind of coach does that?

  • chan c

    Ok. Thanks.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

He just keeps on taking the working pieces apart.

  • chan c

Horrible coaching that we’re putting up with…

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    “U R Charmin.”

  • linspiredinla

    6.

  • John Lee

It’s tough to tank when you have Jeremy Lin on the team and he’s got a guaranteed amount of minutes. BS is a tanking genius, give credit where it’s due.

  • Chipdip

3QT Hole starting for the Lakers… how deep will it go this time?

  • stam

Just got to start watching… how is Lin playing? His FG looks a bit low is he aggressive?

  • BScott wants to go back to rebuild his tank for sure

  • I’m pretty sure BScott wanted to get back on track on his tank-rebuilding project this game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is having fun losing by 10 points. He calls no timeout.

  • Alaingrvis

And like that 10 point lead

  • orLinaryjoe

Clarkson getting schooled. No child left behind.

  • IMO he’s going to allow 10pt+ lead by CHA before starting Q4 then play Lin to generate some excitement of close game to hopefully lose an exciting game.

  • stam

    LOL

  • takemeback2reaganyears

What’s new? This happens when your best player is a backup.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Hornets want to win.
    Byron wants to lose.
    Oh God!

  • a perfect match in heaven LOL

  • JJ Hui

No Time out till 15 point behind? What a BS coach! LOL!

  • Brent Yen

CHA scouted LAL good. All defenders were ahead of LAL offenders by at least one play

  • LW

It’s a road game and they can’t afford more wins to stay at bottom 4.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Without the shooting foul. Byron would just sit and enjoy!

  • Chipdip

As predicted, 3qt hole is as deep as usual…
    No Lin No Win

  • Their #1 plan … build the largest lead when Lin is on the bench so it’s hard for them to have a Lincredible comeback!

  • this is why we know Lakers is tanking.

Any normal coach would get a timeout to stop the momentum and insert the best lineup featuring Lin.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Did Byron make changes in the lineup while the Hornets making a run.
    No, not a chance!
    Byron is so happy losing.

  • Charlie S

Man I don’t think the Lakers would ever win games if it was only decided in the 3rd qtr

  • JC

11pts is nothing for jlin to catch up, guess bs needs at least 20pts behind to put Jlin in at 3rd qt

  • Kwok Wai Lai

He wouldn’t put Lin in until Lakers is 20 points deep in the hole.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    The retarded Laker coach.
The Hornets coach is teaching you when to call a timeout!

  • Alaingrvis

How does clarkson have 14 shots

  • Brent Yen

By keep shooting and ignore to run offense

  • yes, he knows how dangerous Lin post-ASG is to the tank’s health.
Poor tank is in the ER now =)

  • Chipdip

    keep shooting…
    he is also a -10

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I’m pretty sure that Byron would insert Jordon Hill in right now.

  • Alaingrvis

    They call this development

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Jordan Westbrook want to be.

  • of the tank
    “He’s ALIVE!!!”

  • stam

Damn i hate it when JC is in with Lin, it hurts Jlin’s +/-.

  • If Lin plays the full Q4, we can expect a double-double, no?

    @LibraFree
    @JLin7 5p, 6a, 1r, 2s, 1b in 1st half vs Hornets. #unselfish #teamwork

    https://twitter.com/Librafree/status/572933192023326720

  • John Lee

Hmmm…Let me think about this one…

  • stam

Damn sacre got hit hard. he’s bleeding.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boozer already has a double double and he would be taken out soon.

  • stam

    NICE basket!

  • John Lee

What’s worse for the tank is that the Lakers have 4 home games coming up, and home fans will demand more Lin anti-tank PT.

  • Alaingrvis

    …. Hill

  • Kwok Wai Lai

See Byron took Boozer out and inserted Hill!

    Coach Snake1

  • Rick Johnson

Hill is 0-6. Stop shooting those long 2’s!! SMH

  • Chipdip

No defence and think he is a shooting guard!

  • stam

    He’s the ultimate assist killer

  • he’s earning his PT from BScott so well

  • Wide-open Kelly blew Lin’s 7th assist

  • orLinaryjoe

    LIN333333!

  • BobbyH

    a 3

  • Chipdip

    He cant score any more!

  • Dorothy

    333333333333333333333

  • Jeremy Lin for 3333333!!

So good to my ears =)

  • stam

    Damn nice 3 pointer Lin!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Tanking by benching the best players on the court and put in players that has 0 point for him. Jordan for Boozer.
    INcredible sub.

  • sealtrader

    ah ha ! 3333 !!!

  • Brent Yen

Lin practiced at that angle with the ball coming from his left a lot..

  • stam

Yeah if they put in boozer for hill, they would probably win the game with JLIN 4th quarter and boozer’s stats would be much better.

  • Chipdip

Go for the double double… 4 more assists …. go Lin go!

  • sealtrader

Time to get a DOUBLE DOUBLE ! 4th Qt is coming !!!

  • I like 10pts/6ast/2rebs/2stls/1blk and 0TOs in the scoreboard at end of Q3!
    YEEHAA!!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Clarkson had made a mistake of assisting Lin for 3. You’re going to be gone and punished for what you did by your coach.

  • sealtrader

ED need to play entire 4th for Lin to get 3 more assists !

  • Chipdip

Ed Davis and Lin are the only + players for the Lakers now…

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jordan Hill is going to stay because he’s a wonderful player for tanking.

  • Chipdip

    true!

  • Brent Yen

CHA game planned Lin again…..need smarter set…

  • Chipdip

    Put Davis, Ellingotn in

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boozer is not coming back because he has done too well.
Jordon Hill will stay because he couldn’t score but Lin assists.

  • Rick Johnson

    Anti-Tank squad in now.

  • Chipdip

    haha… it works again!

  • LW

    He is no Novak!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

HIll scored 2 buckets. Thanks to Lin. Take him out to dinner.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Lin ties it up!

  • Rick Johnson

Hill should stay there closer to the basket. Below the free throw line.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Game tie. Byron is going to sub again.

  • LW

He is the MVP for Lakers’ goal this season!

  • Chipdip

    No rim protector… none!

  • sealtrader

    3 more assists to make double-double !

  • stam

    Damn look at that explosion!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Linsane!

  • stam

    did lin slip?

  • Alaingrvis

    yea

  • stam

Damn led to a TO. That is why they were drying it right now lol.

  • Chipdip

“… a rare mistake…”… indeed, very rare turn over by Lin

  • sealtrader

Lin need to attack all the way to make 30 points ! and 10 assists !!!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    It’s all Adidas fault!
Why couldn’t they make shoes that don’t slip!

  • Brent Yen

    Bad luck Tov…darn it

  • Chipdip

His teammates standing around not opening for his pass… sad

  • Rick Johnson

    Hornets double teaming Lin

  • stam

    NICE PASS!!!

  • got trapped on corner.. need to bounce the ball on someone’s feet

  • orLinaryjoe

Yes, makes it up to ED!

  • Chipdip

looked like triple team on him for that tO

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is making everyone better. Hill is coming back.

  • stam

yeah his teammates were suppose to break open, they should have known that. The tank is strong.

  • LW

    Sure DD for Lin tonight!

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Soon or later Lin will get his turnover, they trap by double triple team him.

  • Chipdip

two more to go… but dont stop there … keep beating them up!

  • Rick Johnson

    Yes, triple team.

  • BobbyH

This is one of the areas Lin can make better, averting trapped in the corner.

  • Chipdip

Indeed. No worry. He is mad now … hit them hard!

  • sealtrader

is crowd getting restless when Lin gets the ball ???

  • Brent Yen

Every time you do not bounce pass in tight space….tov is more likely to happen

  • Rene#17

    Assist Lin to Davis.

  • stam

Sorry that did not look like a foul to me.

  • Chipdip

    when Mo comes down…

  • Chipdip

    Yes sir!

  • Rene#17

    Great drive by Lin.

  • Michael

    Speed…

  • golfhacker

Should have tried to shoot that.

  • Rick Johnson

Clarkson back in. If he’s PG that’s the game.

  • Alaingrvis

Again same issue Lin verses hornets need help

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Ellington is completely quiet.

  • Chipdip

This is it…. Lin unleash your power!

  • Lin 16pts/8asts ..
    2 more assists for DD!

  • Rene#17

Just 2 more assists for a double double. You can do it Lin!

  • Brent Yen

Davis is out of sync for some reason

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron wants to lose by subs

  • Rick Johnson

    Should put Boozer back in

  • stam

Lin had 4 defenders on him lol

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Then Lakers would win. Byron wants to lose
    !

  • BobbyH

BS wanted to win this one, let Lin close the game?

  • Chipdip

    Oh no….

  • Michael

Lin had too much faith that Wes would go get it.

  • cali7

    What?

  • Chipdip

Mis cue with Wes…. TO.. 🙁

  • golfhacker

    Wes is lazy.

  • Brent Yen

    3 tovs…..to bad…2 were weird…lol

  • Chipdip

OK… he tried.. 4 guys swaming on him and he was able to pass

  • Rene#17

    18 points for Lin !!

  • Alaingrvis

It happens. Will happen again still great job at pg

  • stam

yeah the TO where he slipped was not his fault.

  • Rookie75094

    Shaattt. JLIN Is limping

  • stam

He got clarkson a completely open look so i would say he did well with 3-4 defenders lol.

  • Chipdip

Overall… not that bad… wish his teammates can move more so he won’t get trapped so much

  • Brent Yen

    no not really bad….

  • Chipdip

    agree!

  • Rene#17

Is Hill that bad or is he getting paid off by Kobe?

  • Charlie S

    Cut Hill

  • Rick Johnson

Hill is cold with those long 2’s. Wasting possessions.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The loss is on Byron Scott! The bald snake!

  • Alaingrvis

Recently it has seem like its Lin vs the other team. Wayne has been absent.

  • Rookie75094

I don’t care about the game. .stay heath Jlin

  • BobbyH

    tired.

  • JoeTeam

Hill in … no booz. A few misses on 3s. That’s it. Tank wins, Lin played well. Nice day, time to live …

  • JJ Hui

Hill should sit! BS the tanker purposely put Hill in even though Hill is bad!

  • Rick Johnson

Hill 4/12 SMH. Does he think he’s LeMarcus Aldrige or something?

  • Chipdip

Boozer not there for the 4th qt

  • Brent Yen

I would hope it was Ellington just pull up for a three

  • stam

YESSSSSSSSSSS 20 Points! leading lakers score.

  • orLinaryjoe

    20 Pts

  • BobbyH

    20/8 is better than 10/10, I guess.

  • John Lee

Jeremy scoring more points on less FGA and having twice as many assists, all while playing less minutes than JC.

  • Charlie S

Another solid night for JLin 20/8

  • cshot

woa 20 pts?! woooooot go jlin!

  • stam

Why does BS look so concerned they are 4 points down lol.

  • kittyhead

Either state is sweet!!!!!!!!! Triple would be perfect. lol

  • Charlie S

Doesn’t want to blow the loss

  • John Lee

Loss tonight means Jeremy will get more quality PT playing at home, and get those good stats even higher for FA and hater-silencing. Let’s focus on the positive!

  • Brin

Back to back identical 20/8/6. Wow!

  • Alaingrvis

Solid…..??????? Really. He has 20 points 8 assist and 6 rebounds

  • Charlie S

    Consistent? That can’t be right

  • BobbyH

    Still has 13.9 sec left.

  • another 10 more minutes and Lin would’ve had a triple double.

  • Michael

Hill 0 offensive rebounds 6 defensive rebounds shooting 33.3%. But the thing I really can’t stand is his effort, he isn’t even trying to get in position to get the rebound or alter a shot = =.

  • occupatio

    play called for clarkson

  • Chipdip

He played well for the shot

  • webattorney

Good solid game. Mo Williams good too.

  • stam

Clarkson can score.. they would have quadruple guarded lin lol.

  • John Lee

Hill’s really bad, even The Sleeper is calling him out! LOL

  • Rick Johnson

They need to improve on team defense down the stretch.

  • Chipdip

really bad… hope they have more Ed and Boozer there tonight

  • stam

I think lin got hit in the face damn.

  • 3 TOs but teammates get some blame for those too.

  • JoeTeam

    ice teammates, not 2D

  • webattorney

3 TOs nothing. I would say Lin did one very risky pass; that’s it.

  • Brent Yen

    they need to sit Hill…

  • stam

they need to take jhill out

  • John Lee

A clutch 3 by Jeremy now would be the Hollywood ending.

  • occupatio

    nothign has changed

  • stam

    yes it would

  • occupatio

too bad, earlier, ellington pushed the ball up. they got nothing, cept hill shooting.

  • Charlie S

BS drawing a play: Probably giving it to Hill

  • golfhacker

Here’s how you improve the defense – take out Hill and put in Davis.

  • Rookie75094

J hill is bs secret tanking weapon used to neutralize Jlin

  • JoeTeam

There you go … site Booz for Hill last Q and you have a loss. Last 2 games right?

  • Chipdip

Not anymore… 5 pts gap now

  • Alaingrvis

The guy gets nearly a thrip,e double and you say solid. 12 points is solid

  • stam

BS is working hard to lose, gotta take out the good players.

  • golfhacker

Can’t wait to see +/- stats for this game.

  • stam

Why would he go for a 2 it’s the dumbest thing!!!

  • Rene#17

    Cause he is.

  • Charlie S

Hey look Hill did get it

  • Rzo Vlade

jordan hill screen clarkson so that mo can get the inbound ball lol

  • JoeTeam

    game – no 3 ball.

  • stam

    THAT IS FREAKING CLUTCH BRO!!!!

  • Rene#17

    JLin 3333 at the buz.

  • golfhacker

    Down by 5, u need a 2 & 3 at some point.

  • Chipdip

    haha….dumb coach and dumb players

  • Dorothy

    333333333333333333

  • Rookie75094

    Yes. Jlin fo 3!!!!

  • Alaingrvis

    Dam lose by 1

  • stam

He’s not even happy with it he’s pissed.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Should try the 3 much earlier but BS draws up the plays to lose this game.

  • JoeTeam

he he, just the right way to end a 2015 LAL game.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Byron tanks!!!!!!!

  • Briiick

    Clutch Lin !

  • cshot

    im loving that!!!!!!!!

  • Michael

    So clutch.

  • Alaingrvis

    Lol 23 points… Yea it’s iight..solid lol

  • Chipdip

    If… and only if… ah… a win slipped away …. again

  • stam

They tried to maintain jeremy lin with 4 defenders lol. Lin is the leading scorer of the game.

  • Charlie S

3 off the dribble. Copying Steph Curry =)

  • webattorney

It’s only clutch when you tie or win on the last shot. But very good game.

  • Rookie75094

    I’ll be happy for him…hehe

  • stam

true but he had a few second to make it from beyond half court and he had no hesitation.

  • Alaingrvis

Better. Give Lin credit where it’s due

  • Kwok Wai Lai

How the heell can Byron explain that he benches Boozer?

  • Michael

Interview Al: Tell me what you did down the stretch? Al: They pull Hill on me…

  • webattorney

I know all that. Just saying. There was no big pressure on that shot. It was good shot though.

  • Brin

I see Jeremy getting a triple double soon. Al Jefferson just said Lin had an “unbelievable game” Nice to hear opposing players and coaches recognizing Lin’s contributions more than his own coach.

  • webattorney

I am giving the credit. Just saying it’s not a clutch shot when you know you have no chance of winning even if you make the shot. But 23 points, so it’s good. Stat padding shot, that was.

  • stam

LOL, that seems to be the tanking strategy.

  • stam

    BS is the tank commander.

  • golfhacker

Al Jefferson in post game interview- “Jeremy Lin had an outstanding game, but we tried to maintain him…”

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The Lakers could put a run together because dumbell Byron keeps on subbing in player one after another.

  • Alaingrvis

Some one ask for the plus/minus for Lin it’s a plus 6.

  • I am The Jason

J Lin showing up in the 4th quarter and being clutch. Who needs Kobe?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Ellington totally disappears in stats.

  • Chipdip

they did… triple teamed many times…

  • Arsenium12 .

    Lin driving …

  • Chipdip

    Kobe who? Why mention??

  • Briiick

Yeah, Lin has the team highest +/- again.

  • John Lee

What did I say? *huge smile* No W but better stat and spotlight for Jeremy: Everyone’s happy!

  • stam

yeah, there was no pressure. he was just pissed when he shot it cause it wouldn’t have mattered. That shot will certainly look good on the replays though!

  • webattorney

Another very good game. His stock rising with each game.

  • Brent Yen

THe last three, Lin practiced too many times…per a video in summer

  • Alaingrvis

This is better then linsinity. Why scoute report is to no help. Why not make Lin go right. Lol good luck. If he was starting these would be wins. But I digress

  • webattorney

You get what I am saying. 23 looks better than 20 any time.

  • BobbyH

6 mini Linsanity games, not considering the W/L. But if you take the factors of coaches, players, sets, Lin did an amazing job here since ASG.

  • stam

Yeah if only they put boozer and ed davis in lol.

  • gasparthe2

The Fantastic Jeremy Lin shall continue to be the talk of the town. Even the broad casters are beginning to notice. Ha! Don’t we Lin fans lovvvvvve being right all’the time? 😀

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Dumbbell coach snake!
He stopped all runs for the Lakers.
Coach Byron is good at losing.

  • Arsenium12 .
  • golfhacker

    delete

  • Rzo Vlade

3 teams that need point guard or back up

pelicans – holiday is to injury prone
denver – if mike d antoni hire and need back pg for lawson
kings – george karl high octane offense jlin fits there

  • webattorney

That’s All Star stats. At least made a strong impression on Charlotte fans. That dude can play!

  • Alaingrvis

honestly lins game looks perfect. All he needs is not get trapped in the corner of the paint. But he look like well Paul said it linsanity prime

  • Rick Johnson
  • stam

    FG – 56.25%

  • Arsenium12 .
  • Kwok Wai Lai

against nemesis Mo Williams but Mo has the help of Byron Scott.

  • stam

Yeah – great consistent play but not even linsanity can make up for Jhill’s defense and offense lol.

  • Alaingrvis

Honestly I am scared of a whole different system. It’s is hard to switch your team. I.e Lin earlier this season. Either pick dantoni or a style like rox. Or go back to the lakers.

  • Rick Johnson
  • Rene#17

Everyone must have twitter him cause he just said Lin 8 assists.

  • Arsenium12 .
  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron inserted Jordon Hill for Boozer when Hill was scoreless and Boozer had a double doube. If it isn’t tanking, what is it?

  • Rick Johnson
  • Rzo Vlade

    f@$#ck the lakers

  • Maknusia

    Missed another good game! 🙁

They should have got the Win, anyways, good numbers from Lin…mini Linsanity it is!

  • leeda harun

    good game. Stay healthy Lin:-)

  • John Lee

So from a certain angle: JHill + BS > Linsanity? LOL

  • stam

It sure is, the key to winning is to stop Lin.. all the coaches know that (including BS). That is why the majority of the players respect his game… even though he’s asian.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Not Lakers, Not Rockets. Not Knicks.
Move on to Dallas for a championship.

  • Arsenium12 .
  • John Lee

They should have gotten at least 24 more wins before tonight without KoBS.

  • Alaingrvis

Lin will have his choice. If he stay she stay. If he leaves he leaves. His choice

  • leeda harun

    Hill needs to shoot threes…..

  • Alaingrvis

If he started the game or mostly the fourth they would of won

  • golfhacker

    Haha – yep!

  • Brent Yen

I agree…at least he would get one more point if made it

  • Chipdip

    haha… yup… u r right!

  • Maknusia

He played the full 4Q, right?

  • Alaingrvis

Scott waited for ever in the third to bring him in

  • Chipdip

They don’t want to win… Tank Commander is watching closely… Boozer not even allowed in the 4th

  • golfhacker

    Thx!

  • Maknusia

I guess thats the new rotation for now…he plays the last 5mins in Q3 and full Q4

  • Rick Johnson
  • Brent Yen

BS just finally found his tank core….the one and only Hill

  • JoeTeam

teamed would have dialed in the loss … yeah, a couple of threes, etc looks like they are tryin’. but too easy to do stuff like no booz in 4th, etc.

  • Alaingrvis

I notice people asking for why boozer didnt finish the game. I wonder if it was spacing issues for lin

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron kept on rotating his players even when Lin was trying to put together some sort of runs against the Hornets. The coach was the champion of losing games.

  • golfhacker

    You’ll enjoy the Lin highlights!

  • Brent Yen

You mean tank is too large? need more space?

  • Maknusia

I will watch the full game later…but highlights would be good for now…I guess:)

  • stam

I hope lin keeps his spirits high, especially during the post interview, he didn’t lose the game, the tank did.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Boozer was simply too good. He had the double double but Jordan Hill was still scoreless. The decision was simple for the tank commander Byron the Snake. He inserted Jordan Hill for Boozer.

  • Alaingrvis

    Sorry typo I meant third

  • Alaingrvis

Was boozer out to help spacing for lin

  • CJSHYY

Tank. Hill was in for tanking purpose. BS will always put the players he thinks can help him to tank for Lin in late 4Q.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Just that stubborn kid Jeremy Lin kept the Lakers in the game for Byron’s liking.
What is a snake without the head?

  • Brent Yen

Just wanna say if this is Linsanity, he would have 5 tovs….he did not…so this is already beyond Linsanity

  • Alaingrvis

Yea I’d rather boozer then him. Plays better defense and scores better

  • Charlie S

    Quick summary

  • gasparthe2

The rocketities lost again 🙁 boo hoo. The elite defensive pg fouled out (oh my!)>

  • Alaingrvis

Yea weird as I said if Lin was starting since the all star break there would be a lot of wins

  • leeda harun

yeah…..stay strong Lin….it takes a whole team to win a game

  • stam

yep and boozer’s defense is horrible lol.

  • Alaingrvis

Remember last year where harden was out yet it didn’t matter. The rox are harden dependent

  • Linsanity minus T(Os) = Linsani_y

    Let’s call it, “Linsaney”!

  • Dan Cohen

c.. i told ppl that already.. linsanity is like an insult to him and to me ..because it’s saying that is his ceiling.

  • Rick Johnson

No Lin to take over when Harden out this year. LOL

  • gasparthe2

oh yeah… it was “Lin for the Win!” then 😀

  • stam

yeah, this would be linsanity 2.0 if the coach actually wanted to win.

  • Bauer

Yes, this is Maturity , Linsanity 2.0

  • Rene#17

Coach BS all about Clarkson nothing about Lin. Hate hate.

  • stam

lin’s free throws have improved recently so i’m very happy with that.

  • Brent Yen

    LMAO

  • Brent Yen

    word

  • Rick Johnson

Why is Ireland asking Lin about giving up points beginning of the 3rd? He wasn’t even playing first part of the 3rd when they got behind.

  • stam

He should say… i wasn’t even in the game so you gotta ask them lol.

  • Rick Johnson

Maybe Doc Schepler made some corrections.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s difficult to sign a FA of good quality to play with Kobe. IT is impossible to sign one who wants to play for Byron Scott. There is Ronnie always PRice for Byron’s head.

  • CJSHYY

He always asked Lin about how to improve the team… But right now sounds so fake bc we all know why? Tanking….LOL!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I think it has something to do with the arc of the shots.

  • Dan Cohen

no, more like if they play pnr for lin instead of princeton offense pass into boozer much earlier on, there will be tons of wins

  • Kwok Wai Lai

A scoreless Hill and a double-double Boozer. The choice is easy for tanking.

  • Brent Yen

Like the kids always standing behind you when you try to back your car out of the drive way….

  • Rene#17

    JLin is shirtless.

  • Dan Cohen

    and mental

  • leeda harun

the reporter is purposely trying to make Lin says bad things about his teammates or sonethings

  • Brent Yen

I am certain DOc did something to it..

  • gasparthe2

    You made a “funny” 🙂

  • MoominFloren

    Lin played great
    BS tanked hard
    Lakers lost big
    I’m a happy Lin fan 🙂

  • Dan Cohen

    doesn’t rhyme

  • gasparthe2

Yeah… it does have the stench of a tank.

  • Briiick

Kobe is too old to win anything in the D-league.

  • Brent Yen

Lin grabbed every chance to attack the close out, Doc’s influence…

  • Alaingrvis

No Lin no win as the saying goes

  • MoominFloren

Haha I don’t mean to….just want to type less on mobile

  • Alaingrvis

Best name by pfv linsinity prime

  • leeda harun

our boy is a fighter…..only a win can makes him happy

  • Alaingrvis

No linsinity prime is better lol like optimis prime almost.

  • Brent Yen

    No doubt

  • Brent Yen

    Sounds like a transofrmer

  • gasparthe2

    Lin played linsane
    BS did the tank
    Lakers lost again
    I’m a happy Lin fan

  • Alaingrvis

To be fair aside from a few hill shots and clarkson lay up. He was the only option.

  • Rick Johnson
  • FrankW

Lin vs. Mo in per 36 minutes for this game:
    Mo rank #27 2.4 reb, 10.5 ast, 0.0 blk, 0.8 stl, 3.2 to, 16.2 pts
    Lin rank #31 7.2 reb, 9.6 ast, 1.2 blk, 2.4 stl, 3.6 to, 27.6 pts

  • Brent Yen

He played the right way regardless…lol

  • Briiick

    Lin is natural in winning.

  • Acbc

Every time people complain about Doc, I go bonkers. From every vid I’ve seen of his coaching, I absolutely believe he is ahead of the so call experts on good biomechanics of bball.

We had that in tennis with an ex military pro who was able to think out of the box and totally changed the game. Nick Bolletieri was a much better reverse engineer than the so call experts who rose up from within the system. Nick Bolletieri was teaching the modern forehand for 15-20 years before all the experts who typically would say that Andre Agassi used too much wrist snap to be a consistent tour player. Now it’s he gold standard.

Doc is a great coach. A change of technique takes time. LIN has to erase the old muscle memory first.

Lakers fans are sick of what is happening with the Lakers (Lin excellence!!!), so they haven’t shown up on todays board. By all accounts they want to avoid Linsanity fans. Don’t blame them!!! If not for the three turnovers, Lin had a great game.

Only 21 conversations in espn website. LOL

  • JLin7 #BestBeast mode should arguably qualify for Linsanity but we had only ‘Tacosanity’ which only works in Staples Center! LOL Should we declare ‘TacoSanity’ still a winner despite the technicality? hehe..

    https://twitter.com/JLinPortal/status/572952840575954944

  • Maknusia

A win would have been sweet!

  • Bearness

Wow, I never would have imagined that Lin could achieve this type of consistency while on Lakers. Obviously, there were many factors in play (namely no Kobe, Young, Price). But, very impressive nonetheless. There is going to be a long line of suitors if he keeps it up until end of year.

  • Maknusia

Doc has done wonders to Lin, hence Jeremy keep going to him and its not the other way around as many Lin fans had criticized Doc and Lin; for loyalty.

  • LOL .. Do you realize ‘Linsinity’ sounds like “Lin Sin City”?
Jeremy would take ‘Linsanity’ any day of the week than this new one. Hahaha… Good one!

  • FrankW

He was on Linsanity mode. A win would have been nice with that clutch 3.

  • Alaingrvis

Got trap in the corner a bit, force to pick up ball. But yes it’s a great game. Hornets focused on Lin so I expect that

  • Maknusia

Because they know, only Lin would be able to wear the coaching hat and answer reasonably

  • sport

Another 20/20+ point game for JLin! Looks like his scoring is increasing every game! Maybe he can get to 30 points next few games! I hope he keeps this up until the end of the season! It will definitely create alot of attention for his FA! Sucks that Lakers didn’t pull out a win even with Lin’s last second 3 pointer. Losing over Hornet’s free throw is sad!

  • CJSHYY

I think Lin already had suitors.. HB’s article said so… I believe he must have the team he likes in mind and he is playing his game to show case for the team.

  • In his last post-game interview, he referred to “wanting to be the best player in the team”..
I think he’s showing that now, no longer deferring. He’s always been the best scorer/playmaker in this team

    Good for him and us!!

  • Brent Yen

He was waiting for the bigs. I think it is ok. CP3 does that too..

  • Alaingrvis

Sorry for my ignorance but whose doc

  • Bearness

I know he will have suitors. But, now he will have a long line of them. =)

  • Maknusia

its pretty much a given fact now

  • sport

BS finally hit sage mode, tanking while letting JLin shine cause of FO, win-win for Lakers!

  • Alaingrvis

Pfv said it best a couple of high risk pass Lin has to stop doing. More low risk passes. If no passing lane don’t pass it. Shoot it.

  • CJSHYY

FO said so… But BS is doing good job on makes Lin happy & also tank well.

  • Alaingrvis

Lol sage mode. So scott is Pervy sage( naruto fans get this)

  • Arsenium12 .
  • Brent Yen

That is a dilemma. tho…but well….Lin waited meaning he knew bigs had chances…the execution was wrong which can always happen facing NBA defense. Lin would hope he did it differently for sure…Not that he would shoot…he probably would choose to pass those differently

  • Arsenium12 .

    Post-game interview …

  • IsabeliJane*17

I missed this game so waiting for highlights.

Personally, as what Al Jeff said that they tried to maintain (imo, not being a grammar N*** but it would be nice if he said contain),the only defensive strategy I haven’t seen an opposing coach do against Jeremy is to put 5 of his players on the floor to guard him and leave every other Laker open.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Oh my.. what a..GAME

  • Keith

@Lakers @JLin7 is the Lakers MVP this season for sure— Aaron L Hoagland (@aaronlhoagland) March 4, 2015

Coach Doc Scheppler is Lin’s trainer.

Here is one of his previous interview posted on jeremylin.net

    http://www.jeremylin.net/2014/09/doc-scheppler-interview-summer-2014.html

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron Scott should try 3 pointers at the end of the game.
This Scott is either inept or dumb.

  • Brent Yen

Ireland is more respectful to Lin now

  • Alaingrvis

What i worry about is the fast break on his turnovers. I rarely see that happen on Chris Paul. It’s can shift momentum.

  • sport

I’m also waiting for highlight cause I had to work.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Byron is going to hate Jeremy even more because Lin made the game look closer than it was.

  • Maknusia

They could have done this from day one…that would have kept the fans wanting more and has some respect as well

  • Alaingrvis

    Thx

  • IsabeliJane*17

He should. The only media personnel covering Jeremy’s game who is a complete and total bleep is Bill Oram. Somebody should replace that guy.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Doc Scheppler? Did I spell it right?

  • Brent Yen

I can not believe someone is worse than Harden

    Lin played Linsane
    BS tanked insane
    Lakers lost again
with a coach of no brain.

  • james brown

that’s what the 3 pointers of JEREMY all about..to show that BS favors 2 points in the dying seconds while jeremy thought that a couple of 3 can make a WIN! (that’s why the disgusted fame maybe of Jeremy during the dying seconds of the game)

there’s a battle of coaching inside the laker’s team…one being silent , the other one make blunders after blunders.

  • sport

Seems like JLin went straight to the locker room, unhappy while other teammates didn’t care about the loss and were shaking hands.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The young kids run around him in circles.

  • Brent Yen

Of course it is better to not have a tov…lol just saying if you choose to do like that, you probabaly is not gonna get aggressive enough.

  • bolero

    Lin shook MO Williams hand.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    hahaha he maybe is:
    1. Truly worse than Harden
    2. Daydreaming on the court
    3. Has bad vision and needs some contacts

    !BRAVO!! Good one!

    Some Stats from today’s game

  • dolphin2k2

    LOL

  • Rene#17

No he’s not. Why did he not ask Coach BS about Lin as BS went off about Clarkson. Then ask JLin those 2 questions about YOU and the start of 3rd qtr then about his turnover with Johnson when there was so much good that JLin did during the whole game?

  • blubell

His PER is over 20 again. Keep filling up the stat sheet Jeremy!

  • FrankW

The third quarter (as usual) killed the win.

  • FrankW

Back to back road game tomorrow I want Lin put the heat on the Heat for a win.

  • james brown

picked this comment on an article about JLIN…

Jeremy Lin’s Future Is Starting to Look Brighter by Hannah Kulik

“If Dantoni gets the Nuggets gig … expect to see Lin there ..as well as
Nash as assist coach maybe since Dan Dantoni seems happy as a college
coach … Amare may sign there as well … and Jeffries is a scout
there. All they need is to sign Fields and Novak and you have the gang
almost back together. Oh yeah, isn’t Tyson Chandler a free agent after
    this year too?”

can this have a semblance of truth? or this wish might come true…LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

On another story has anyone seen this? I’ve been doing a The Big Bang Theory overload (yes I have a mad crush on Jim Parsons) so I’m missing some NBA:

  • CJSHYY

Haha! I like the idea… bc read MDA mention about Lin & Nash… maybe really means something ….

He needs some of Sheldon Cooper’s peripheral vision, which on a good day allows him to see his own ears.

    From Jeremy’s ESPN profile page.

    Fantasy Basketball
Lin has been on a tear since the All-Star break ended, and he continued his impressive play Tuesday, finishing with a game-high 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with six rebounds, eights assists, two steals, and one block in 30 minutes off the bench.

Spin: In his last six games, Lin has averaged 18.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers in 28 minutes per game off the bench. The Lakers appear deadset on bringing Lin off the bench the rest of the season, but this recent surge from Lin doesn’t appear to be a fluke. If he’s available in any standard leagues, Lin is a great player to take a flier on for the next week. The one thing to watch out for is Nick Young (knee) stealing Lin’s shots when he returns from injury sometime in the next week.

  • Rick Johnson

Boozer should have been back in in the 4th. Hill wasn’t doing much.

  • Rick Johnson

Jeremy seems to have decreases energy on a B2B but I’d really like to see him show up Dragic tomorrow. Hope he can bring it on.

  • CJSHYY

Heat use Chalmers more sometimes… so…

  • Briiick

There shouldn’t be a problem if he can easily get some picks set for him.

  • grover chang

Lin is the Lakers best player, he really needed to touch the ball on every position when the game is that close. He is like the one player on the team that has all-star game. I took Harden and Howard for granted last year. I know Lin made the game easier for them, but those guys are superstars and they made the game easier for Lin. Jeremy has to lead this team but he isn’t the type of guy to go for 30+ points a game, he isn’t even allowed too.

  • Brewkowski

Mo actually stopped Lin before Lin could leave for the locker room.

  • linspiredinla
  • JoeTeam

That’s the ticket … join the Harvard Alumni club in your city. If you can’t, get your school or club to do a joint event with them lol.

  • grover chang

    i wouldn’t expect too much on a b2b

  • Rookie75094

Maybe I can form a Harvard alumni wannabe club….who want to join me?..hehe… the logo will be the Cap H with small wannabe in the corner

  • Maknusia

Personally I dont think there is any truth in it…but perception do exist

  • Rookie75094

Lol you just exposed yourself with when instead of went…hehe

  • grover chang

Lin worked out at Mo’s camp during the off season

  • Rookie75094

Like I said. ..hill is bs secret tanking weapon used to neutralize Jlin

  • Acbc

Lol, BS would be one of the hundreds of failed stone frogs because there’s no way he could ever become a sage. The only thing BS is good at is failing.

  • grover chang

i kind’ve miss Price because he could steady the ship better then Clarkson when Lin sits. But then Lin probably wouldn’t handle the ball as much. So who knows. Best scenario would’ve been if Kobe was injured for the season and Nash was healthy. Lakers would always have a good pg running the show between Nash and Lin.

  • blubell

Why didn’t they go with Jeremy or go for a three earlier? Wasted possessions with silly 2 pointers…

  • grover chang

thank you Lin for finally acknowledging you are the best. Even better then Kobe (at 36 yo of course). I am sorry but Lin was holding himself and the team back by not exerting his will more. He had a lot of stuff from BS keeping him from his true form but every winning team that needs a star and Lin is the Lakers one star.

  • CJSHYY

Bc Lakers wanted to loss not won…

  • blubell

Hmm…I think he did it intentionally to see who notices it first 🙂

  • Rick Johnson

Byron Scott doesn’t believe in 3’s. SMH

  • Rick Johnson

These Swype keyboards on phones have a mind of their own. LOL

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • grover chang

My two big pet peeves about Hill is he holds the ball and he plays away from the Rim. Has he looked in the mirror. He is 7 feet tall!!! Play near the rim!

  • blubell
  • blubell

“Right now I’m feeling pretty good, and the team is playing in a way that is very helpful for me,” Lin said. “And Coach (Byron Scott) is letting me go a little more. I’m trying to stay aggressive. I’m trying to find my rhythm and get to the basket.”

  • Rick Johnson

Also those long 2’s Hill takes usually leads to a transition basket for the other team. You rarely see an offensive rebound or a put back on Hill’s shots like you do when Lin shoots. I think it’s because his shots bounce further away from the basket, or since and since he’s the one doing the shooting he’s not there to get the rebound or put back. He should shoot below the free throw line to get better FG% and to be in position to get the rebound.

  • joyce ward

Now I get why D’tanoi was not high on Hill. He is lazy and not very bright on the court unless somebody is telling him where to go.

  • Rick Johnson

But Lakers are targeting Dragic in FA and he’s said Lakers are his first choice so Lin showing up Dragic would be icing on the cake.

  • linspiredinla
  • CJSHYY

I hope this not means he will stay w Lakers?!

  • Rick Johnson

LOL, Byron Scott with that face and arms folded.

  • Michael

He does remind me of a lazy version of Melo on offense. My eyes go like this – – every time he catches the ball and faces up.

  • Michael

    What’s wrong?

  • Acbc

Hill is so self absorbed that he will ignore any advise or coaching that doesn’t fit what he wants to do.

  • CJSHYY

I know… But Wade seems to be more favor w Chalmers than Dragic.

  • #WhenLinPnRHappens Linsanity sweeps LA

The best scenario is if LA offers more money than other teams to stay ala Dwight.
Then Lin politely declines to play somewhere else knowing Kobe will be playing PG.

Finally, LA Media headlines will say, “WHY, Kobe? WHYYYY?”

  • takemeback2reaganyears

What smart coaches hate the most? Yeah open drive layup, PnR, transition defense. Those three are Lin recipes.

  • Rick Johnson

You figure they must have noticed him, they were double and triple teaming him.

  • joyce ward

No, Clippers are Lakers competition in LA, Knicks and Lakers, long standing rivalry, and GSW just because they have the best record in the NBA. Those are sott’d agendas for himself

  • Michael

Some bad coaches hate them too…cough (bs)

  • IsabeliJane*17

Forget double and triple teaming him, leave the rest of the 4 Lakers open and have the 5 Hornets gang up on him….

Oh wait that won’t work either.

  • blubell
  • Maknusia

that shows how good @brentyen:disqus is!!! LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

No really that’s cool, being mentioned in other team’s Twitter accounts whether official or fan-made.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Sadly, after Linsanity, haters were still spreading the lies.

Now Lin is still fighting for his spot. SMH.

  • blubell

    Brent is a mod?

  • joyce ward

Yeah, he needs to stop beefing on twitter about comments made about his girlfriend, it makes him look really immature. His focus should on how to help the team coming off an injury.

    From Lakersground

    http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=172527
Lin — Great all-around game from Lin. He led the team in points, assists and steals and pulled down 6 boards, as well. “Right now, I feel pretty good and the team is playing in a way that is very helpful to me and coach is letting me go a little bit more,” Lin said, repeating what he mentioned the last game. He got most his assists in the first half and most of his points in the second half. He was getting to the rim for scores, hitting in the midrange and knocking down threes. He needed more of his teammates to step up. He, Clarkson and Boozer were the only ones really fighting. “I think if everybody on the floor if they go back into the fourth quarter there was probably at least one play they wanted back,” Lin said. For him, it was a bad post entry to Wes late in the game that was easily picked off. Some decent moments on D with a couple steals, but also drawing a tough charge earlier in the game.

The Stats: He scored 23 points on 9-16 shooting (3-4 from three, 2-2 from the line)

The Action: He set up Sacre for an open jumper (looked like he had a layup if he wanted it). He sank a three straight away next time down. He sank a pull-up wing jumper. He attacked the paint with speed and kicked out to Clarkson for three. He missed a two-for-one step-back jumper and wanted the foul. He was blocked on a layup. He was blocked on a layup in transition. He hit Boozer off the two-man game for the jumper. He attacked in transition and dumped it behind him to Davis for the dunk. He probed the baseline, curled back to the lane and bounced to Davis through a crowd for the And-1 (very nice). He missed a pull-up jumper off a screen (a bit of a force on that one). He had 5 points on 2-6 shooting and 6 assists in the half.

Second Half: He sank an elbow fade working off the screen with the shotclock low. He attacked the lane, hung and missed the short one. He sank a wing three on the feed from Clarkson. He whipped a pass to Hill for the short jumper. Quick attack off the sideline inbounds and he scored a layup. He blew past his man and scored a layup (he gave up a layup on the other end). Out of control and he threw a pass away (just back that out, reset the offense). He picked up his dribble and threw another pass away. He pushed up the break and hit Wes with a bounce pass between defenders for the slam. He missed a pull-up three while getting undercut with no call. He blew past his man and scored a layup. He missed a 17-footer. Horrible post entry pass to Wes that was easily picked off for FTs the other way. He probed and hit a quick wing jumper with a minute left. He attacked and missed an And-1 layup, he made both FTs with 14 seconds left down 4. He swished a three at the buzzer.

  • Acbc

This while being deliberately used improperly by a tanking FO and coach. Can you imagine if he was a starter playing with Boozer and Davis?

The Lakers are fools to not see that LIN is their franchise player. If they keep pissing LIN off, he’s going to leave no matter what obscene amount of money they offer.

  • grover chang

Someone alert jordan. He just cracked the billionaire club. Think how much more he could go up in value if Lin brings in the asian market.

  • CJSHYY

    Wow! That’s really really good.

  • CJSHYY

Sure hope so bc to BS tank it’s more important than win… smh!

  • Acbc

I actually agree with Swaggy on this one. A sports commentator can diss on a player all they want, but to pick on someone’s girlfriend is just wrong. ESPN is going down the toilet to being like TMZ on this one.

  • leeda harun

they knew it but dont want to believe it. I guess they dont want an asian american to be their point guard no matter how good he is.

  • Maknusia

    Oh gal!…you a re pulling a quick one on a rookie! 😉

  • linspiredinla
  • Maknusia

Here is the first part of DB’s review

That Third Quarter Again… The Lakers came up a point short on the road against the Hornets, falling 104-103.

When you lose by 1 there are any number of things you can look at. For the Lakers, however, it was a stretch of ball to start the third quarter where they were held without a field goal for 6 minutes.

“We were taking one pass and one shot early in the third,” Clarkson said, a proper assessment of the situation. “They were getting out in transition. We had a couple turnovers. That’s on me. I’ve got to put us in a position to succeed.”

The ball wasn’t moving and the Lakers struggled. Despite Clarkson pointing the finger at himself, he played well with 19 points, including a couple drives in crunch time. He also missed a couple of big three’s during that closing-time stretch, however.

Jeremy Lin led all scorers with 23 points, 8 assists and 6 boards. Another strong game from Lin off the bench, who was the best player on the floor for L.A. tonight. He just needed a few more players to join him, Clarkson and Boozer, who had a double-double.

  • Jimmy Buckets

I dont think his come back will help the team much
Lin now has the full control of offense in 4th and when JC on the bench
when Swaggy comes back, he will take shots and break the plays
I do think Lin’s recent success owes a small part to Swaggy’s injury
When he comes back, this nice streak is likely to end
    or maybe im just exaggerating

  • Jimmy Buckets

    Disgusted with the Lakers
still talking about JC and not much was made about Lin
He only made one play in this month’s top 10
    JC dominated it
thats just crazy hope Lin doesnt come back next year

  • Brent Yen

I said it in the training camp….he is just simply ridiculous..

    I want highlights 🙁

by the way, I love to see Jeremy being the top performer on ESPN http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/scoreboard

Not long ago he just asked Lin in his face saying 17pt is the best Lin could do. I would say Ireland improved a lot…emphasize on “more respectful” everything is relative here..

  • Kwok Wai Lai

They’re both underrated. Portland gave up on Mo. Look at what they’re now. The Trailblazers really missed the high energy plays that Mo gave. The Hornets are benefited immensely from the outputs from their trades for Mo. They could have been out of the playoff picture w/o him.

  • Brent Yen

Maybe he meant No D because he shut down his D function..jk

  • JoeTeam

Saw Lin waving directions to Hill hear the end there. He should be more aware and get into position himself (Hill).

  • Kwok Wai Lai

BS has a hidden agenda against Lin.

  • Brent Yen

“Some felt it was unfair. Some felt it might be the product of discrimination against Lin, who is an Asian-American. The truth is, Lin’s uneven minutes, and the team’s never ending rotations on the court, made it impossible for him (or anyone else) to find any consistency or to become comfortable in his role. Through it all, Lin has remained the religious, articulate, and classy guy that he’s always been.”

    M……………..

  • JoeTeam

” He sank an elbow fade working off the screen with the shotclock low. ”

This was his coolest play in my view, because he was changing direction with the fade too and I was really surprised he was able to get stability to net that shot. It was like a stop moving toward the sideline, twist around and fade shot. I thought for sure he would have to kick it to someone.

Played only about 25 minutes. Boozer had a double double and on his way to a great game that could only be stopped by his coach, Byron Scott. The coach: “Got back to the bench! No more fun for you tonight!”

“What did I do this time, coach?”

“You played too well with Jeremy.”

I am expecting a highlight that is longer than 10 mins…I guess there is some limitations on the length. So maybe just exact 10 minute

  • james brown

mike say..BRING JLIN to me!!! LOL!

  • sport

Me too, these longer highlight should really include everything though, Lin’s 23pts, 8assists, 6rebounds, 2steals, and 1block not just his scoring. I’m sure christinecheng60 youtube video of JLin offense and defensive highlights will have all of them.

Denver is going nowhere with his superstar PG. They might as well trade him for something. Jeremy Lin will be the choice for MDA.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Oh highlights goody!
2:08 – taking Hornets’ interior defense by surprise
2:29 – low bounce pass to Wesley, taking Hornets’ defense by surprise

This could have been a win if Jeremy had more minutes.

  • Maknusia

at one point, I thought the same…but then I have youtubes that are more than an hour as well..hmmm

  • sport

I don’t think it was a minutes issue Lin did have some mistakes (3 TOs) and missed a few shots. All Lin needed to do was make a few of his missed shots and not have that crucial TO towards the end. LBJ had only 26 minutes the same day against the Celtics for 27pts, 5 asts, 3 rebs, 3 stls, and 1 blk, similar to Lin’s stats (23pts, 8 asts, 6rebs, 2stls, 1 blk) except LBJ had more points and steals and Lin had more assists and rebounds.

  • Michael

I don’t remember anyone saying that.

  • Maknusia

now.. from now onwards you shall remember!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Brian Shaw is fired after trying to trade the star PG TY Lawson for George Hill. MDA might be the potential head coach for the Denver Nuggets. I don’t think Lin should join the Nuggets though.

I think Jeremy is doing a Bernard king strategy for his shooting. When asked how king scored so many points efficiently he said he picked 6 spots on both sides of the basket and only practiced those spots with a couple moves to get to those spots. Seems lin is using a similar strategy.

  • joyce ward
  • Maknusia

Personally I dont mind his TOV, and I dont think Lin can run away from his TOVs. He is a high-risk/high reward player, that he had acknowledged many times. Thats how he plays, and it aint bad since its within the flow of the game and most of them on fast breaks

  • 1mtoldman

not everybody. jacob rude at his usual “game grades” back handed reluctant compliments actual veiled criticism; blames lin “turnovers down the stretch” ??? how many exactly turnovers were their jacob? 3 for the entire game! smh. almost all starting point guards in this league ave. more than that and this is the first game since break he’s had that many.

when called on his chronic belittling of lin and promotion of whoever the party line lakers were promoting; he is so lame he has to go back on his own article and challenge his critics.

    hack.

also says 1 for 7 3 point shooter clarkson could have “almost” been mvp. smh again.

i keep trying to give that guy a chance because is a quick look to sum up an assesment of the game and because over the course of the season he seems to pre-reflect what laker party line actually is; ie. what organization wants audience to believe (not necesarily waht they do beleive). but he’s just too much.

the one thing i do disagree with is i dont think kobe thinks or cares about lin at all. at least not conciously.

but lins #s since the break are so dyn-omite that anyone who doesn’t have a deep seated predjucide against lin (for whatever reasons of theory, hate or vested interest) has to see
how dynamic and impressive they are. with many of “star” players in league out lin is moving on up the ladder. justified.

  • 1mtoldman

thats what i always do (mute twc and watch that is). i usually can’t get other teams feed.

  • 1mtoldman

i think thats about doubled in last 12 hours. which means its really picking up cause was runnning about 4000 an hour. but i could be wrong just off top of my head.

  • 1mtoldman

best of both worlds. lakers get “not prioritizing winning” they want; lin is dynomite.

  • joyce ward
  • 1mtoldman

his turnovers since asg are nothing. this was first game i think of even 3. and almost all nba point guards ave 3 or more turnovers a game. lin is way below 2.5 for the year. and much better than that later.

its just one of those repeated mantras that have no current basis in fact.

Mo Williams is the reason that the Hornets won tonight.
NBA is full of fluke. So many big name players sitting on the sideline getting paid for nothing.
Solid players like Mo Williams was underrated and underpaid.
Without Mo, Lakers would easily win tonight.

More than twice, Lin said in post game interviews that he has been given opportunities and longer minutes to play his style of game.

Why would BS allow that to happen? Why not before? Why not from the start? What changes?

For the past 6 games, Lin had closed 4th quarters for 5 games (I think) with 30 minutes. And the most obvious shift is Lin is allowed to play his style of play with the ball in his hand, especially in the 4th Q.

Why a sudden change of love?

    Some plots to speculate on:

    1. FO told BS to let Lin play his style for 30 minutes. An audition for the coming FA, while trying to keep the tank going.
    2. FO told BS to let Lin play due to the DNP gate agreement with Lin’s team that before ASG, Lakers will showcase JC for trade and possible trade for Lin. And after ASG, if Lin is still a Lakers, Lin can play his games.
    3. BS wanted to win BOS/MIL games and FO saw a glance of Linsanity and wanted BS to continue the pattern.
    4. Lin converted BS and BS changed his heart to …. (Scratch this, not possible)

    Anything else?

It is too obvious that the switch is turned on. I am not sure it is on BS or Lin. More likely BS. The talent is there. You just need to unleash it.

  • joyce ward

Lin mentioned in NBA highlights for last night

I think it is more of the Lakers looking at the PG in FA, and Lin is on par or better that some of them. Besides Lin has become a fan favorite. When he comes into the game at Staples Center, he always gets the loudest applause and the other night the game OKC, crowd was chanting MVP. So I think the Lakers will be at a dilemma if they try to re-sign lin. Nuggets coach has been fired, and D’tanoi is available and Nuggets might offer him the job. The Lakers dilemma will be how to keep lin and the foothold in the Asian market…and the plot thickens

  • 7iger

Lin is an unrestricted FA this summer. Lakers can only sign or not sign Lin

  • CJSHYY

  • Hans

this is one touching image. right before the hug Jeremy was walking off the court all disappointed, then Mo must had called him and then the two hugged. Gotta give Mo for his respect. Just like Lillard, the opponents know Jeremy can ball.

  • 22cents

Nash is done as a player. However, he can be a good coach one day if he wants.

  • CJSHYY

Haha! Just hope… In fact, I think it’s possible MDA mentioned these two bc they’re the most famous players everyone knew when under him did great. Part of his resume. LOL!

If I had to bet today, I would put my money on Lin not returning to LA. The timing is just not right and Lin will have more enticing opportunities elsewhere.

Look, being in LA, there is no better way for me to watch Lin play games than at Staples. But I really want Lin to do the best he can in the NBA, and I seriously doubt that the Lakers are that place right now.

At the same time, if Lin keeps playing like this for another 20 games, I will not be surprised if the Lakers take the leap of faith and tell him they will let him do his thing and that Kobe can deal with it.

Crazy part is Lin has yet to play INSANE basketball. He is just playing solid for what he can do. The Lakers aint seen nothing yet.

I predict an explosion game is coming for Lin within the next 15 games. Once Lin’s 3’s start falling in waves, people, except for us, will be in shock.

Re-watching last night’s game – Charlotte feed. Announcers very complimentary of Lin. Said Lin has a pretty good following wherever he goes and mentioned he’s unrestricted end of year. prior to last nites game i noted that since being traded to charlotte mo williams has been the primary shooter/scorer/engine of the team and it would interesting to see how he fared against lin and against clarkson.

now i didn’t see all the game and sometimes was observing multiple things at the same time but williams characteristic headband was easy to spot and i basically didn’t see lin guarding williams hardly at all.

which would make sense with the pairing where lin basically only gets to play pg half the time and the typically non starter rotation minutes.

im not sure who was guarding williams when not clarkson but i would assume ellington or possibly johnson.

lin seemed to be guarding a lot of different people at different times. anyway….my point rambled to was; williams tho doing more passing and less shooting/scoring this game was still considered by some poster the reason for charlotte win, if so it wasn’t because of lin because he was almost never
    lin’s responsibility.

since the all star break and the various changing circumstances of players; as for point guards. williams and lin have both seen dramatic reversal of fortunes to the positive side. pre asg hovering around the bottom of the top 30 in overall production; post asg in the top ten.

those changing cirucmstances showing the reverse; ie. steepest decline: rondo and brandon knight.

fic is real gms “per like” rating system; espn has its own. just looking at how they analyze this particular nite to me the espn rating system seems to more realistically reflect performance. but of course ultimately everything is subjective as to what variables you choose to combine and how you weight them.

would never speculate on inner details but its obvious the results are: a. lin given greater freedom/minutes to play (still within strict limits and still as a reserve) b. scott still on point via substitution patterns and horrendous starting line to keep the tank goal firmly in line except for occasional deviations for personal reasons.
