  • g ho

First ? No comments yet to read from anyone 🙁

  • Rzo Vlade

    2nd

  • Rick Johnson
  • blubell
  • joyce ward
  • Sophie Paris

Except if he forgets to think about not doing it. He can’t control his face when happy hahaha

  • 1mtoldman

yer 2nd comment (disqus) is a first? inconceiveable.

  • joyce ward

Did anybody catch the Kobe documentary on Showtime last night?

  • Rzo Vlade

    garbage

  • Linja

    Not gonna.

  • joyce ward

    So you watched it?

  • Sophie Paris

Yea I saw it. Seriously not impressed and a lot of boring moments… they could have done a better job.
This guy is really too much self-centered but just he seemed honest when he blamed himself for his wife’s miscarriage.

  • Sophie Paris

It will be a 12:30 pm game for me. I can watch it yatta

  • Andrien

Was it as moving as JLin’s documentary?

  • joyce ward

So this was like a dedication unto himself with no learning of lessons for the audience.LOL

  • FrankW

No can watch, no celebration allowed.

  • Rzo Vlade

no! but my intuition says garbage…. its full of self pampering

  • 1mtoldman

when is 1230 pm is that noon or midnite

  • Rzo Vlade

knew it!!!! full of narcistic view

  • FrankW

12:30 pm should be 30 minutes after lunch break for most of us. Its afternoon.

  • Sophie Paris

Not as intense as jlin’s documentary. A few moving moments I guess coz he almost cried and they put some sad music u know and pretty images lol… But that’s nothing compared to the honesty of Linsanity ^^

  • Sophie Paris

Yes it’s more about a guy being at the center all the time. But he seems like a good dude apart of his arrogance lol.
Oh yea there’s a funny moment where at his first appearance in finals he puts 4 straight airballs at clutch time and Shaq is like ‘WTF’ Lol… but then he worked hard the whole summer etc. and the 3peat… I think we didn’t see enough basketball in that documentary overall.

  • joyce ward

So he just has some unresolved childhood issues.

  • Jimmy Buckets

Kobe HAS been at the centre of all the attention all the time
NBA and the Lakers made sure of that
Kobe had been the best player for a very long time
because the lakers supported him 100%

  • Jimmy Buckets

    please
    Kobe didnt go undrafted
and get overlooked his whole life his parents didnt have to adapt to new culture and all
he was rich dating an underage when he was a pro
    maybe some racism in Italy
other than that his life cudnt ave gotten ay better

  • Jimmy Buckets

I feel like this is more than just an injury

  • joyce ward

I have noticed that the laker fans that hate on lin are mostly kobenites. majority of laker fans just want to win, and they don’t care who is leading them.

  • joyce ward

Also, kobes documentary seems to have been mediocre because it is not trending on most of the social medias, and the NBA has not commented on it.Maybe they will in next couple of days…..

  • Sophie Paris

Yes you can’t feel sorry for KB not even when he got injured. You just feel like Bryant got the greatest life that anyone wanted. Lol

  • Jimmy Buckets

kobe fans are one of the reasons why people hate him so much cuz they are so annoying always making excuses for the man
LA loves Lin im sure of it

  • Sophie Paris

Shoot wat you say for 00:30 then? lol

  • Sophie Paris

    I mean at midnight ^^’

  • Jimmy Buckets

oh no i did feel sorry when he got injured i dont like him but growing up he was a big part of the NBA
it makes me sad to see him go its kind of a love-hate relationship lol

  • joyce ward

I am too. I have gone to the Laker games and when lin comes in he always get the biggest cheers.

  • Jimmy Buckets

Call me crazy but I feel like Swaggy sitting out games isnt just about injuries
Feel like theres more to it i dont know the Lakers do look better w/o him and frankly i dont think they including Byron Scott really like him anymore
    just my 2 cents

  • Sophie Paris

Sure he’s one of the greatest player. I mean I will not feel so sad for him u know. He got injured old when he won everything already. It’s not heart-breaking.

  • 1mtoldman

    i thought that was you.

  • 1mtoldman

“sweet is the madness of midnite in paris”

  • Jimmy Buckets

    lol gotcha
man still has quarter a billion sitting in the back aha

  • joyce ward

I think his knee is swollen because he had a fracture in that same knee, It might be serious than what they are saying and are waiting to the end of the season to say something. Right now it is swelling up.

  • Jimmy Buckets

real fans of the team like him
theres nothing to not like about him anyways lol
Hou fans at the game luvd him too

  • Jimmy Buckets

    Ohh okay makes sense
just seemed like hed been missing a lot of games lately and he doesnt necessarily close the game anymore

  • Sophie Paris

“cherie Hearts are young love is free Won’t you share love with me” Cute lyrics

  • 1mtoldman

omg how can you possibley know that! hat tip. i didn’t know you had it in you. toujours l’amour.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Anyone enlight me: What time is the game going to start??? 3:30pm LA time?

  • 1mtoldman

thats what the sked sez. unless its been changed.

  • FrankW

ESPN NBA is hyping up Clarkson on the last game, no mention
of Sacre, Boozer, Ellington, Hill or Lin.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

What’s the time now? I mean LA. Waking up more than 1.5 hrs ago thought the time was 6:30 Brissie time:-(

  • Sophie Paris

It’s me. But about what? lol

  • blubell

I voted for Tacosanity but I just realized the poll here is for the CHA game which is on the road… Kinda confusing… psalm, how do it change my vote? 🙂

  • FrankW

1:30 game time in 2 hours.

  • FrankW

    yes

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Thanks! Can’t believe it. I knew it was 3:30pm LA times but miscalculated the time again. aaaaarrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh:-)

  • CJSHYY

Just ignore it bc probably just one of the reporters who covers Lakers did it… Nobody really cares that much about Lakers now.

  • FrankW

You could go back to bed for 2 more hours.

  • CJSHYY

Even it’s really boring & no one really cares vote but still vote for Lin… TWC… smh!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Saw that Ellington was the player of the week. How come???

  • 1mtoldman

“the greatest life that anyone wanted”

(still can’t beleive you picked up on that song lyric cue/ my hat is not only tipped its off.)

  • deesee5

I wouldn’t think so.. You got a talented kid like Kobe drafted outta high school. You’re expecting him to be good already vs Lin, undrafted, and unexpected. Underdog stories are always more exiting.

  • CJSHYY

BS tried hard to make FO can sign him next season… Lin sure can get the contract so….

  • joyce ward

Don’t get caught up in it. Lakers and other scouting teams no who made the difference in the lakers last wins. i happen to believe that the tide is turning on the Jlin narrative. Lin is not going away and the NBA needs to get use to it.

  • 1mtoldman

lakersnation press agent jacob rude. ranted on about how clarkson was sat down the last quarter. was very mad. said no excuse, as clarkson is “the future”. could excuse “imploding” the tank. but not excuse not playing clarkson.

  • blubell

I think it is because of his first career double double and the fourth quarter run he had on Friday. Which is unfair because Jeremy had better overall stats and had both Linsanity and Tacosanity!

  • Rookie75094

    how rude of him…hehe

  • 1mtoldman

    best beard?

  • FrankW

From the time BS sat Lin down till he enter late in the third quarter, Lakers gave up 15 points. Clarkson scored well but not a factor.

  • blubell

also unfair because Jeremy can’t grow one… lol.

  • joyce ward

No he is not. I still think Clarkson is trade bait for a bigger prize. jmo

  • CJSHYY

I agree not even Lakers future even if Lin is not there. But if Lin stays then BS & Kobe will use develop as excuse to make Lin be a bench again.

  • FrankW

Not doing well but Lin keep feeding him with the ball until Ellington caught on fire in the forth quarter. Lin was the catalyst, Ellington got the credit, that’s how it goes.

  • Brent Yen

Or to keep as an OK scoring guard off the bench…IF some good FA PG comes.

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen
  • Sophie Paris

    I’m full of surprises ^^

  • Rookie75094

lol…scrub wolverine try to start a fight with LeBron james…. try to distract people from his garbage play.. hehe

  • joyce ward

Ok , I am not worried about Lin. Lin is pretty solid and his last games(scouts were out) has solidified him a place in the NBA, now what teams will offer him and the type of contract is another matter. I am of the belief that lin will remain in LA because the battle of Laker of becoming a contender is half way there because the bench players have clicked and have become an awesome defensive/offensive presence because every body is on board. I also believe that Mitch/F/O don’t want to spend a lot of money on a player just to satisfy an itch that Kobe has for another year. Also I believe that lin has bonded with these players and if you listen to their interviews on FA, they want to stay in LA. They have not asked lin that question yet, but I see the F/O auctioning off Kobe/Randle/Lin gear. I also believe that Mitch/F/O like lin because although lin has not been treated by them, he has upped his game in spite of all of the negativism.

  • joyce ward

    True, I like that

  • blubell
  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward

Lin getting respect from other coaches…I love it…

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Wonderful, more coaches know the “danger” of JLin!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know. Well, always JLin’s story of his bb journey. Let’s see when he is getting the respect he deserves. Counting the days!!!

  • blubell

What do you think will happen to Scott?

  • Brent Yen

Seems like the defense will be planed against Lin. Expecting Clarkson having a good offensive game…

  • 1mtoldman

    im touched.

  • blubell

Yup but never from his own coach…

  • sport

It’s ok, these lock down defense will only improve Lin as a player in the long run as he figures out how to get out of double teams!

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

Sure…It will be a good game for Lin to grow….

  • sport

You mean never praised by his own coaches period without backhanded comments, besides Mike D’antoni!

  • joyce ward

I think Scott will stay, because he will told by the F/O to adjust his agenda if he wants to stay. Also reading scott’s interview about lin yesterday, he states that he is very pleased by what lin is doing. Also, I thought that it was quite impressive on the defensive schemes that the team ran against the Bucks to win all lead by Jlin. So we will see.

  • sport

JLin’s success allowed more AA to believe they too can NBA players! In fact AA kids no matter Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, etc LOVE basketball but most treat it as recreation and way of working out and never think they can become a pro.

  • blubell
  • Bearness

Maybe we will hear something like, “Byron Scott brought up Jeremy Lin as first thing that most concerns him since Lakers’ tanking job has gone south.” =)

  • blubell

I think Scott will be fired after next year when Kobe retires.

  • blubell
  • CJSHYY

They probably will double team him today bc OKC really wants to win. But not Lakers so… I think OKC will do it like Jazz to limit Lin’s ball handle.

  • joyce ward

Also remember the Bucks in the 2nd half started double teaming lin and he fought his way out. I think the team will help him fight through the double team. I hope Scott has planned for this

  • Brent Yen

This is why in NBA, one ball handler is not enough….

  • joyce ward

Team has to help him out and not go into iso mode.

  • Brent Yen

More often than not, Lin was hung dry there by his team mates.

  • joyce ward

Exactly. The Lakers don’t have that on their team.

  • joyce ward

I hope they will do better tonight. I think the last game they helped him out a lot.

  • blubell

Scott as in Scott Brooks or Byron Scott. lol. I’m sure the former will have a plan but the latter doesn’t know how to plan.

  • sport

Both BS and Kobe has to go! Lakers has ALOT of players with potential to be great and offensive threats under a great coach and lead by Lin as PG! Tanking for draft pick is dumb cause 9/10 the draft pick is dud!

  • blubell
  • BobbyH

For the past 4 games when BS kept the long leash on Lin, have you guys noticed that most of the time Lin had to create for himself and the teamates. Not set plays other than P&R. Just Lin read and finding opportunities.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Most teams have done it anyway. His teammates haven’t been a great help thus far. Let’s see whether there is any change in this game.

  • blubell

They will need JEremy’s leadership on and off the floor. LAL will be foolish to let him go.

  • 1mtoldman

novak, durant, westbrook, kanter and adams. all out tonite. lakers i know have just 10 players available (i think). how many does okc have? max 10 also right?

both teams be short handed. fouls could play a big part.

  • BobbyH

How many coaches already praised Lin directly and indirectly so far since ASG?

  • blubell

    Stevenson and Kidd so far.

  • sport

LOL that’s the only thing that scrub knows how to do, starts fights, injure other players, playing dirty, cause he loves the attention! Did you notice last season whenever there was a fight, Mr. Scrub would run towards it to join in! This kind of player being in the rising star challenge is a disgrace to the game itself!

  • Tiuniasing

MRI shows negative, everything is fine.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    And now Brooks:-)

  • blubell

Let’s hope for back to back Tacosanity!

  • blubell

of course… that was implied 😛

  • blubell

They are getting better now with better chemistry.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

To me, that’s quite an explicit:-) Why else his name is even brought out if he isn’t a concern. Why no Clarkson and any Lakers players?? Ellington is the player of the week as well. Lakers media hypes him up now. Why opponents aren’t concerned about these two???

  • joyce ward

True, and Ellington stated that they have stared holding each other accountable when they are not where they are suppose to be. I think most of these players have not been taught what to do, but lin is showing them.jmo

  • joyce ward

Not implied, he clearly called out Lin’s name…

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Same concern as Brent. Let’s see how well is JLin’s teammates “helping” when JLin is double or tripled:-)

  • blubell

Clarkson is a rookie and Ellington is pretty much a no name. Jeremy has already proven himself and the opponents already know what he is capable of.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Problem is Ellington is with the starters. The two players does learn to help him out more are Boozer and Ellington. Both of them are with the starters now.

  • 1mtoldman

she means it was implied ie. “already” referred to those prior to brooks.

( i think thats what she was implying anyway)

  • CJSHYY

    Ya! Agree.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    I know:-)

  • blubell

the OP already acknowledged Scott praising so i’ve simply added kidd and stevenson.

  • blubell

    Yup yup.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Got you now:-)

  • joyce ward

Most teams know that if you put the ball in Lin’s hands, he weaponizes the whole team. I am loving this because coaches around the league are realizing lin’s skills and many of them want him on their teams to win games.

  • Grace Nsns
  • Brent Yen

IMO..That is already a SET perception league-wide. He is more on showcasing his defense…

  • blubell

Again this is why it would be foolish of LAL to let Jeremy go. He provides veteran leadership… different from Boozer.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Then it’s even more peculiar that his own coaches refuse to give him the ball:-)

  • 1mtoldman

you missed the earlier wolverine lebron rasslin match.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Even Boozer acknowledged JLin’s leadership in one of the interviews. Probably Celtics postgame?

  • blubell

Boozer actually has acknowledged it several times before.

  • joyce ward

No maybe in 2012, that was the narrative, but not so much lately until these lat 3 games. It is beginning to resurface again. The added narrative is his defense has really improved.

  • joyce ward

Ellington plays with the starters , but look at his game from Bucks. JC does not have the skill set on ow to figure out how to get a shooter into a rhythm and that is OK because Clarkson is a rookie with very limited basketball acumen.

  • Dorothy

    wow, harden

  • sport

LOL he totally did it on purpose, fake star can’t play against the legit stars so resorts to injuring other players just like his pet Mr. Scrub!

  • Arsenium12 .

Jeremy Lin when he played on the Dallas NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas (2010).
    _________

  • kauaiblue

    Whats going on with lebron?

  • Jimmy Buckets

    he owned bron in 3rd

  • joyce ward
  • Jimmy Buckets

Dont know if Lin will have a good game tn i mean statistically
cuz the first thing Scott talked about was how he was concerned with Lin
expect double triple team every where tn

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know. Hope that players that JLin plays with in this game has learned how to move so that when JLin collapses the defense, he has someone to kick the ball out to; maybe Johnson??

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yep we don’t hear much of the narratives that BS and KB sent out before ASG now. So proud of JLin has silenced all the craps by these people. Only ex-Lakers are still trying to sell their ridiculous pieces but not many are buying into it except probably JLin haters and KB’s fans.

  • linspiredinla
  • JLin Fan from Australia

We just have to wait and see whether JLin’s “turn the corner” will sustain this and becomes part of his games for the rest of his career. I believe he will after this season. He may still have a little ups and downs but mostly up from now on.

  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward
  • sws94

One of those FT struggles today. Gotta say Harden looks fantastic out there, at least on offense.

  • joyce ward
  • blubell
  • BobbyH

My point exactly. For 4 games worth, 2 coaches of the opposing team praised Lin and the coming visiitng team took note and brought only Lin’s name up b/c that’s his concern. That means for a little bit of one week, 10% of NBA HC recognized Lin’s capabilities, either experienced first hand or already knew. Not to mentioned the hidden ones.

  • joyce ward

I am so happy that even LBJ has gone through the struggles as Jlin has in the past, which makes lin very normal.

  • sport

Cavs and Rockets tied game LOL. I don’t like Lebron but still rooting for Cavs to beat Suckets!

  • joyce ward

OK, Rox and Cleveland game is in OT.

  • sport

Rooting for Cavs to win in OT!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

That’s why I’ve never been worried that no team wants JLin, JLin doesn’t belong to NBA, JLin should do this or that in order to… narratives in the past few months. JLin knows what he needs to do to overcome the hurdles/obstacles and get to next level. Look at his interview recently about FA, it isn’t even in his mind. Fans just worry too much.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Watched the last 23s. Not sure I like LBJ iso game.

  • Brent Yen

It has been like that since the 3rd Q…lol

  • sport

I only started watching from OT. This game will depend on which teammates step up the most.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL I don’t watch other games except JLin:-) Good to know.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Too much of LBJ isos and he is ice cold. Cavs is going to lose the game. LBJ reminds me too much of KB.

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia

WOW Cavs game is all isos. Play sticky ball. Not going to win the game.

  • sport

Yes Cavs moving the ball and James with clutch 3, 1 point game! LOL Harden with the obvious hand hooking for foul call and Lebron was like What The?! Refs should’ve called offensive foul on Harden!

  • Brent Yen

LOL, that was one of the worst no call I have ever seem….if we take out no calls of Lin

  • sport

No call on Harden? He was obviously hooking Lebron’s arm for foul call! Glad refs weren’t dumb enough to fall for it! Should’ve been a foul on Harden!

  • Rene#17

Lebron loses game misses 2 FTs to win the game.

  • Brent Yen

Either way, there has to be a foul

  • sport

Lebron missed both FTs to seal a win? LOL

  • Brent Yen

    LBJ 73% at FT%…..M….

  • Promo Sports World

    Wow

  • sport

JLin’s FT percentage was also around 70%+ at one point int he season what is it now?

  • Brent Yen

    77 I think…I was going to say…Lin has to stay ahead LBJ…LOL

  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward
  • blubell
  • Rene#17

Jack is back! Wondering whether he should sell his season tickets if Coach BS tanks. We shall see tonight.

  • Rick Johnson

Yeah, ESPN don’t have to listen to Stu!

  • joyce ward
  • linspiredinla
  • 1mtoldman

previously kanter was listed as out.

  • 1mtoldman

    starters digging their ususal hole.

  • joyce ward

Clarkson has his first points on the board

  • Brent Yen

When will this game go to garbage time?

  • GoodDayLA

all wearing Kobe jerseys as usual.

  • blubell

    Jeremy is in!

  • kauaiblue

    Hes in

  • MoominFloren

    So early ?

  • blubell

    Ellington is in foul trouble.

  • Brent Yen

    No call again..

  • stam

    Was lin fouled on that?

  • blubell
  • GoodDayLA

The better treatment of Lin has started. Stu has started to feign some appreciation for Lin lately and TWC not as harsh. I think the Lakers are just trying not to make sure they ensure that Lin leaves due to poor treatment. So they will be nice enough to him on the surface until they decide what to do in free agency.

  • Brent Yen

Let’s put it this way, it can be called…LOL

  • stam

I hope the refs don’t have it in for him… it would have been awesome for him to score as soon as he came in

  • blubell
  • Brent Yen

    Well….we all hope so

  • GoodDayLA

I CALL BS. THE FLOOR IS SPACED TOTALLY DIFFERENT. THE RIGHT PLAYERS ARE NOW PLAYING WITH LIN.

I DID NOTICE AS OTHER HERE THAT HILL NOW ACTUALLY PASSES TO LIN! I MEAN HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! IT’S NOT JUST LIN AND HIS MINDSET CHANGING.

ALSO THE STUPID LIN PASS AND SCREEN FOR NICK YOUNG FOR LIN TO HIDE IN THE BASELINE CORNER HAS BEEN REDUCED AS PLAY CALL #A, B, C AND D.

I CALL BS ON BS AND THE LAKERS.

  • stam

This guy is the truest Lin fan but he’s a bit overzealous sometimes.. lol

  • deesee5

Lin not getting the Laker superstar calls? -_-

  • stam

    3 assists blown lol

  • blubell

    So many blown assists….

  • GoodDayLA

I am not even worried about Lin as long as the play calls, floor spacing, and proper teammates are put in on the floor with him. Because 9/10 times, as long as Lin has that, he will find his way with the team on the floor.

Lately the guys he plays with and the way they play is so different. It’s so obvious. For the better.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Ball isn’t moving.

  • Brent Yen

    Hill choose to shoot…so boneheaded..

  • deesee5

Lol wow this team can’t get a bucket. And y’all called this team “solid”

  • deesee5

    Ugly defense too

  • Promo Sports World

    Jump shooting teams go cold

  • JLin Fan from Australia

No baskets for so many possessions.

  • deesee5

Lin is moving the ball. No one is making buckets. This team is lol

  • Alaingrvis

Everyone look terrible when shot don’t fall.

  • blubell
  • takemeback2reaganyears

Hill had the lane but chose long jump shot. smh

  • Alaingrvis

Lin being calm not trying too much to carry the team …..good

  • JLin Fan from Australia

He is the only one is moving the ball when he has the chance to do it:-)

  • Rick Johnson

Move Clarkson to SG or take him out

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    they double team Lin.

  • deesee5

Yeah. But this team is just ugly. Aside from Lin, I see nothing solid about it overall.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    JLin is pg now.

  • Rick Johnson

    Bloody nose again?

  • deesee5

    Lin with the nose plug.

  • Brent Yen

Something in Lin’s nose, what is it?

  • BobbyH

    Gosh, 25% shooting.

  • deesee5

Something to stop a nose bleed it looks like.

  • stam

    WOW nice shot JC

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Really dislike JC’s boneheaded play.

  • stam

Same here, he’s explosive but I don’t like him at all..

  • blubell

    Clarkson already with 8 fga.

  • deesee5

That last one? That was smart! Lol

  • joyce ward

    What is lin doing?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Not the last one but the one before when there was a break. He should wait rather than shoot for no reason.

  • Promo Sports World

Need a good 5 minutes here

  • blubell
  • BobbyH

Getting teammates involved. But with 25% shooting, you know what happened.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Hmm, did I saw another ballhog, showboat Laker guard on the rise, and his name is not Jeremy Lin?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

JC is really shooting too many as pg. He should play as sg. No playmaking from him at all.

  • deesee5

I think lin is doing fine himself. But what is the rest of the team doing? Lol

  • stam

Damn lin i hope he didn’t get hurt wtf

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes You are!!! KB #3 in Lakers.

  • blubell

    Nice drive!

  • Rene#17

    Lin drives and scores.

  • deesee5

    Boom! Need more of that.

  • joyce ward

he needs to settle down the team and take control.

  • Rene#17

    Lin to Davis.

  • deesee5

Boom! Assist! Lin catching some fire now

  • blubell

    beautiful dish to Davis!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Finally the ball is moving.

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

With Jeremy and a big man who can roll good, those no-look passes are soooo damn fine….

  • blubell

    Blown assists galore.

  • stam

    Yep… so many blown assists.

  • deesee5

if lin had a better team we would see less of that.

  • IsabeliJane*17

The ball is moving for BOTH teams…

  • deesee5

Can’t wait for fast 7 though..

  • deesee5

    Err furious 7. Lol

  • JLin Fan from Australia

He can’t if he JC is the pg.

  • blubell

Should have at least 5-6 assists.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Couldn’t believe Johnson got blocked. He should dunk the ball.

  • kauaiblue

    R u watching??

  • blubell
  • cshot

how many assists from jeremy were converted lol? like 2 out of 8?

  • joyce ward

    lin get your points, please

  • George Livingston

Clarkson has no leash. Wish the same rules applied to Jeremy…such a double standard. Jeremy was told just to pass and defer to Kobe in the beginning of the year. Clarkson has the green light to do whatever he wants..what the heck.

  • BobbyH

Once JC was off the court, the ball moved.

  • stam

Lin looks very aggressive so far so I’m hoping he will get his..

  • deesee5

maaan OKC with buckets after buckets

  • stam

Damn play would have been so good lol

  • deesee5

I know! Okc defense did well on that

  • joyce ward

so lin is getting trapped, any help?

  • Rick Johnson
  • blubell

    sweet reverse!

  • Rene#17

    Rebound and layup for Lin.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Sorry Harden, your I’ma-superstar strategy ain’t working against Lebron

  • deesee5

Movement is actually looking good rn

  • blubell

    J to Ed!

  • Rene#17

    Lin to Davis !!!!

  • Alaingrvis

    The passing is beutiful

  • IsabeliJane*17

Triple teamed and STILL got the dish to Davis!

  • stam

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • deesee5

Omg lin is playing very well! Glad I’m actually watching right now. Hahaha

  • stam

Yeah now only jhill needs to pass back to Lin. Also, i’m really liking that they are trying to bail Lin out when he picks up his dribble.

  • blubell

Jeremy and Ellington both doing a good job feeding Davis.

  • sport

Shoot I got work to do can’t watch game just check box score! Lin doing really well! 6 pts, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds! On the way for a Triple Double if he keeps this up!

  • blubell
  • John Lee

Jeremy had to work hard to earn it, whereas it should’ve been a team fundamental preached by the coach. Oh wait, forgot the Lakers don’t have one. SMH

  • BobbyH

I think she can be the HC.

  • John Lee

She both pretty AND smart, unlike BS who has neither. LOL

  • Promo Sports World

Lin out but he played well

  • blubell

Booo.. Jeremy is out. Clarkson in. but need rest.

  • John Lee

Good, I needed to go grab my breakfast burrito from the cafeteria. 🙂

  • IsabeliJane*17

Just promising? Please, if I’m the coach I would have used that to death this season and for as long as I have these two.

  • John Lee

Ed Davis killing it with 5/5 shooting. Like other true Lin believers before him, Davis will be rewarded with a healthy contract. Hopefully he’ll sign with the same team as Lin, the chemistry is too good to go to waste.

  • stam

BS did let Lin stay on for a while, longer than Clarkson’s first bench so that is a good sign 🙂

  • IsabeliJane*17

Ah well, now that Jeremy is out Thunder doesn’t have anyone to double. Time to grab some Reese Peanut Butter Cups.

  • Yascar

    They’re my favorites! Share? 🙂

  • chan c

Did our boy start for this game?

  • joyce ward

I just want lin to get at least 16 points and after that I don’t care…just sayin..

  • stam

No but he got a lot of minutes off the bench and reinervated the team.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Here ya go…got the minis. They’re more fun

    https://nuts.com/images/auto/801×534/assets/153e2ca35a3955a7.jpg

  • chan c

    Good! Thanks 🙂

  • Yascar

    Thanks! Yum! 🙂

  • Rick Johnson

When he got to play PG. Team struggles with Clarkson at PG even with Lin at SG.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    at least? LOL.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

WOW! All starters are in -ve

  • Alaingrvis

Augustine is looklng like westbrooke on clarkson

  • joyce ward
  • takemeback2reaganyears

Thanks to BS for separating them.

  • stam

LOL to be fair, the shot was contested.

  • chan c

    What’s the score now?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    All bench are in +ve.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    48 vs 56 Thunder

  • chan c

    Ok. Thanks…

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Took my time off for a snack after JLin subs out:-)

  • golfhacker

Time for Lin to take over the 2nd half…again.

  • joyce ward
  • takemeback2reaganyears

    another cold beer for me.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    JLin is 2-4 3 rebounds, 3 asts, 0 tos 6 pts

  • BobbyH

Only if BS forgot he is tanking.

  • Rick Johnson

Clarkson with -14 makes everyone playing with him a –

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL Mine is red bean soup:-)

  • chan c

Clarkson should just sit then… 🙂

  • Rick Johnson

Only if they are trying to win.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Sound very healthy.

  • John Lee

Delicious! With brown sugar and mini sweet-rice balls?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes I’m. The only junk food I still can’t resis from time is chips:-) Glad that I’m no longer in US. Enjoyed a lot different kind of chips there.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

No. Just red bean with sugar can:-)

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • joyce ward

It is funny, the fans on twitter are having a melt down on why Clarkson is in and not lin, even the beat reporters are asking questions.. I like that fact that lin has been tripled team and he has managed to get the ball to the players,a although many blown assists.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Doc knows best. Gotta do what he says but can’t wait till the day you’re free to have chips anytime.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    That’s like dessert?

  • joyce ward
  • IsabeliJane*17

Wow that Jim Parsons’ Intel commercial….

  • joyce ward
  • takemeback2reaganyears

If you put a blinder on a horse he will only do one thing, going straight. BS is still wearing his blinder.

  • joyce ward
  • Rick Johnson

Second hole. Bench erased the first one , then they dug another. SMH

  • joyce ward
  • deesee5

I’ll answer those reporter questions! It’s because tank!

  • joyce ward

Lin has become a fan favorite.

  • Brent Yen

    thank you! lol

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Only occasionally; maybe 1-2 times per month now. Try not to purchase any:-)

  • grover chang

Mychal Thompson (klay Thompson DAD and former laker) announces laker games for the radio. He said Lin Davis pick and roll is the Lakers best play especially with ellington and Johnson spreading the floor but they went away from it after preseason. It’s really that easy. Lin pnr with big surrounded by shooters. Ugh.

  • joyce ward
  • takemeback2reaganyears

It’s laughable when the Lakers and BS are trying to setup Clakson as he can learn and be like Nash while Lin is the closest you can see in term of court vision and passing to Nash.

  • joyce ward
  • joyce ward

i am so not worried because it will blow up in his face.

  • stam

    That’s a dirty play… lol

  • sws94

Clarkson is younger and Lin is an FA that may not be too crazy about Scott.

  • sws94

    Noticed that.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

I know you’re not Joyce, in fact in the past days I felt your attitude was very positive.

  • LAJane

I sure hope so. Fans who’ve had a hard time letting go of Kobe-mania and who’ve had their heads swiveling with BS’s fractured rotations and the homer media “Lin-under-the-bus” comments…I hope they’re really finally figuring out Jeremy’s worth.

  • joyce ward

    Touche~..LOL

  • takemeback2reaganyears

I was talking about basketball styles. Clarkson would be good at sg not pg.

  • GoodDayLA

I hope Lin pulls another Linsanity. His stats will be meager but hopefully the impact is there.

  • joyce ward
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Another big hole starters are going to dig for bench to dig out.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Leading the bench to get back into this game is a BIG impact. Surely the Thunder announcers are yammering about it.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    63 vs 52 (Lakers) @9:13 3rd qtr

  • joyce ward
  • GoodDayLA

Lin played very good. I give him a B+/A- for the first half. To get A from me, he has to start doing the spectacular or passing even crazier to guys who are so open they can just dunk open passes witihout a challenge.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • joyce ward
  • Briiick

I guess the F/O told BS to play Lin, and BS also felt he had to make them play poorly because of the absence of Kobe.

  • stam

I hope JC didn’t get hurt

  • GoodDayLA

yeah my point is it’ll be tough for Lin to score a bunch or even get assists. BUt Lin can still control the game with hockey asssists and his all around game. I hope he gets he chance in the 2nd half.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Instead of salivating for a pick, this Hollywood team’s GM should just do a full clean up of the house, get rid of the holes and find players who can actually play, not hog the ball.

  • sport

Wayne Ellington looking very good! Running the “2nd unit” I mean starters LOL.

  • sport

If the GM and Jim Buss was smart they’d get rid of both BS and Kobe!

  • joyce ward
  • GoodDayLA

imagine what they could go get with Kobe’s salary,,,

  • knibb

I consume red bean soup to reduce hair loss and it does seem to work… either that or my vision is deteriorating faster than expected.

  • GoodDayLA

Im not sure why but the entire team and play style is differnet now. It is refreshing to see and makes it more obvious that Scott or the front office was intentionally keeping the team down.

  • IsabeliJane*17

If James Harden wins MVP, this league is already a hopeless case.

  • GoodDayLA

honestly Harden and Houston have been good this season. Note, I am NOT a Houston fan.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Stephen Curry should win. Yeah Rockets are good…. against bottom rung teams.

  • joyce ward
  • GoodDayLA

.500? They could have been even better than that.

  • blubell

    This is inappropriate… please delete.

  • orLinaryjoe

    Yes for human torch

  • stam

I didn’t even see Lin in that was a dumb play, he shouldn’t have rushed it. But he will settle down and do his thing like Joyce says.

  • GoodDayLA

man those Jlin airballs are tough to watch. But I’ve leanred over the years, its part of his game. I think he will always shoot a few airballs even when he is having a good game.

  • joyce ward

Lin will settle down and find his groove.

  • LAJane

Yep, since the break…like he’s said, rest, recharge, and another level of letting go. His whole vibe is that he’s really turned another corner. When somebody lets go of the worry and internal strife there’s a kind of solidity to it that other people can just feel. It’s attractive. Kind of magnetic. I think that’s the trust his teammates can’t resist now. Sort of like the Star Wars tractor beam :). His joy on the court is back. I’m happily soaking it up!

  • sport

No Stephen Curry should win MVP!

  • joyce ward
  • sws94

Not a good possession. Not worried about airballs.

  • GoodDayLA

i agree. I just hope he finds it sooner than later. Usually when the stakes are higher, he seems to play more focused. It’s interesting.

  • Promo Sports World

Did you see the possession breakdown????

  • sws94

First TO in a long time for Lin. I’m not even sure it was a travel.

  • Promo Sports World

10-12 points will be solid….PnR game coming with Ed

  • GoodDayLA

yeah but u cannot blame the airball on the breakdown. Lin had a chance to set that up.

  • stam

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

  • GoodDayLA

Jlin likes to pass to guys like Kelly and Kovak and they seem to deliver for him.

  • Grace Nsns

    Kelly 3! Lin assist

  • IsabeliJane*17

LOL watched some Rockets-Cleveland video nuggets…. so Lakers wants a no-defense Kevin Love and nutcase Rondo next season? Make it work – Jeremy/Davis for Rondo/Love

  • GoodDayLA

this is LA, land of the crazy.

  • sws94

He looks for the hot hand. Novak was a way better shooter than Kelly.

  • GoodDayLA

Ellington and Lin need to finish with Ed, Hill, and Wes. Boozer doing spot duty is cool too and that is what it is.

  • stam

get rid of clarkson and put ellington in.

  • joyce ward
  • LAJane

Look at you, so sanguine these days 😀 Lin-fluenced, eh?

  • GoodDayLA

I agree. I’d like Wayne out there.

  • chan c

And the coach doesn’t realize it???

  • GoodDayLA

he does. He is trying to buy Ellington time to rest and also give JC moe experience.

  • Promo Sports World

    Bigs no D

  • stam

Lin’s shot is off today damn…

  • Promo Sports World

Getting 10 is still a shot

  • GoodDayLA

SCott better sit JC down rest of the game and just go with Lin/Wayne

  • LAJane

Kinda, sorta still trying to tank here, so need some liab…uh, I mean help with that.

  • GoodDayLA

He is not engaged with the guys in right now. Wayne or Price is better for Lin. JC no longer efffective right now as he was in first half.

  • Brent Yen

When will Lin switch to guard DJ A?

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Next season…

  • Brent Yen

I hope not, that means Lin will be backup again

  • stam

that is true, he is elevated as he elevates his team.

  • joyce ward

Is lin playing point, don’t feed the ball to clarkson..smh.

  • GoodDayLA

Im impressed OKC looks so good without Durant or Westbrook. THey are coached pretty well on defense. THey are loading up on Lin and not letting him go off but beat them inch by inch which Lin can do.

  • Brent Yen

    He is not…

  • blubell

The shots aren’t falling but Jeremy is playing efficiently right now.

  • chan c

Did Lin sit for too long that he cannot find his groove?

  • Brent Yen

IBAKA is a one man zone for OKC…lol

  • blubell

He is now with Clarkson out.

  • GoodDayLA

Lin may not play great tonight, but his talent will force the score to get closer.

  • stam

I hope he didn’t get hurt damn he got hit in the face.

  • GoodDayLA

    no

  • blubell

    made both FT!

  • GoodDayLA

they are paying good attention to Lin. All teams should be doing this to Lin. Glad they dont. Lin is still finding ways too.

  • GoodDayLA

Lin simply has TALENT. Nice layup

  • stam

I take it back he wasn’t lol

  • blubell

very aggressive move to the basket

  • Promo Sports World

Wes Johnson not a good player

  • orLinaryjoe

    Lin threads the needle!

  • blubell

Can we get a double double?

  • Promo Sports World

    10 points 7 assists

  • GoodDayLA

Lin is making great passes but the open jumpers are off

  • IsabeliJane*17

Wow those are some good words from Scott Brooks for Jeremy. Says Jeremy is a conscientious player and he (Brooks) thinks Jeremy stopped thinking too much and just let it play out there.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Next season, in a different team

  • Brent Yen

    I know..just saying DJ usually is a back up…LOL

  • blubell

Jeremy should have a 2D by now… but so many blown assists 🙂

  • sport

Darn it, Ellington is cold, Lin should try feeding Johnson and see if he’s got it!

  • Promo Sports World

He is playing a very good game….chill with the trolling styled posts

  • sport

Teammates are cold this game, really cold…

  • GoodDayLA

No IJ, the Lakers CHANGED the style of play, play calls, people Lin plays with, and how he is used. Dont bellieve Lin had some mental breakthrough. He is too talented. They finally just put him in position to succeed after he actually complained subtely

  • stam

Yeah his court vision is good, getting people who are wide open. Just not converting or 2 more assists plus 6 points lol.

  • golfhacker

    Johnson has no game.

  • Alaingrvis

Tbh everyone knows that’s one of lins issues. Lin knows its well. Pg role plus being as intelligent as he is over thinking will happen.

  • Rookie75094

    or better yet score himself

  • chan c

What happened to Davis? They had it going early on….

  • IsabeliJane*17

I’m referring to Scott Brooks’ comment AS IT WAS SAID

  • sws94

Just got to get the ball to the shooters, they’ll hit them sooner or later. They were great looks.

  • GoodDayLA

    WHAT TROLLING?????????????????????????

  • Promo Sports World

If they had any interior game would be Closer

  • sport

Hope Lin catches fire in shooting soon, with his teammates cold he needs to take over!

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin should just shoot it himself. Outside shooters are off. He should either dish inside or shoot it himself or drive to rim

  • HeroBallJLIN

If Lin gets hot, then rest of team will get hot.

  • John Lee

Black sesame works wonders too if consumed on regular basis.

  • golfhacker

    Tanking. He is 5/5. 10pts.

  • Promo Sports World

    Great game

  • blubell

    attack!

  • JoeTeam

Saw half of 3rd to now. Clarkson solo, Ellington kelly cold, Hill 50/50 1 bad finish for foul and one no D. Lin miss 1 3, but the man.

  • stam

    Excellent body control.

  • Promo Sports World

    Hill foolish

  • orLinaryjoe

    Lin again!

  • GoodDayLA

LIN IS MR 4th Q like his Dad says.

  • Promo Sports World

    Bang

  • stam

    LOL NICE

  • sport

Linsanity! Yes Lin is on fire now he need to score with his teammates out cold!!

  • blubell

    Stu: Jeremy Lin Time!

  • Promo Sports World

    Lin doing it

  • orLinaryjoe

    Saves it!

  • GoodDayLA

LOL his teammates are playin selfish wth…..

  • Promo Sports World

That shot by Ellington says tank all the way wow

  • JoeTeam

    Hill 2x no Lin, TO

  • sport

Ellington with the bad iso, Hill with the bad foul for and 1, so much for Lin’s hard work!!! uh this team!!!

  • Rookie75094

    ellington being greedy

  • IsabeliJane*17

Would have been nice to see some Jeremy (Lin) + Jeremy (Lamb) bc

  • HeroBallJLIN

Lin is again the best player on the floor. Lin is playing a great game once again!

  • chan c

What??? Was it a three? Lol I cant watch it…

  • stam

Lin is bitching at hill now lol.

  • Promo Sports World

Free agency looking better and better

  • BuzzerBeater

“Jeremy Lin controls this game” Jeremy getting a lot of praise. Playing wonderful, if only his teammates had more then a couple of brain cells.

  • GoodDayLA

Lin is so much better than 3 years ago. All the Lakers did was space the floor for him without people posting in the paint or eating up the paint. And Lin basically looks surgical.

When Kobe comes back, this type of floor spacing dissapears.

  • John Lee

    Hill’s “earned” it!

  • golfhacker

    Amen!

  • BuzzerBeater

Good, Hill’s giving me an ulcer.

  • blubell

Almost had it in HOU before the trade.

  • I am The Jason

Lin is being Mr 4th quarter right now

  • Rick Johnson

    ESPN really praising JLin.

  • Promo Sports World

    Great game

  • joyce ward

    I love it…

  • chan c

Aww! I am unable to watch the game…

  • blubell

why was I listening to LAL feed? lol

  • sws94

Good defense by Ibaka, Lin is mad at himself and thinks he should have made that shot. Ibaka affected it.

  • Alaingrvis

I aka affected that miss. Man I miss having a good center

  • GoodDayLA

Lins’s hand hurts still from that last foul. If Augustine closes out on Lin, Jlin will look like a superstar the next 5 minutes

  • IsabeliJane*17

hehehe Jeremy making it hard for Serge

  • sport

Listening to LAL feed praising including Stu I think? They mentioned how all these coaches one after another have been praising Lin! How Lin isn’t just playing for present but needs to play for contract!

  • Brent Yen

He should have passed…about 1 second left…but we will take it…good game!

  • stam

    2 more assists please

  • TTNN
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes I was able to switch it to ESPN now. Great!

  • BuzzerBeater

I want Jeremy to get the W, but if not oh well, his numbers already look great! Been so consistent since the All-Star break.

  • LAJane

Well, he did imply that he had another level of breakthrough letting go of worry and analysis over this last break. Of course he’s talented. No…TALENTED!!! 🙂 But the more you free your mind, the more your talent can bust loose. Like Acbc commented in the previous thread, he’s so smart and his mind is so quick…getting extra baggage out of the way just frees him up. I see a difference. I think his teammates feel a difference…though their ability level is not always up to taking full advantage of what he can give them. As for “putting him in a position to succeed”?…I still can’t figure out what they’re doing. Are they tanking or not!? What’s with the sort of unleashing of Jeremy? Hopeful, but suspicious, here.

  • stam

Yeah if Linsanity comes and his teammates play hard they can still win.

  • sport

Lin is playing VERY Well just rewatch on NBA Replay tomorrow! This is definitely a game I will rewatch! http://replay.nbaliveonline.tv/

  • Brent Yen

Don fall for that inconsistent thing….unless you literally meant the box score..lol

  • If Lin was allowed some freedom and teammates that believed in him from the start, he’d be putting up triple doubles too. Look at his stats this game (and the past few weeks).

  • BuzzerBeater

    and 5 more reb, hehe

  • GoodDayLA

I agree Lin changed. I guess my point is if Kobe came back tomorrow, this “new” Lin would dissapear again not because of anything Lin did. I think you get my point.

To me, the Lakers spacing the floor was the bst thing they did to help Lin.

  • Alaingrvis

    Lin needs help out there

  • JoeTeam

game over … Lin ok. Rest is nada.

  • chan c

    Wow! Thanks! 🙂

  • Grace Nsns

    JC in, game over.

  • blubell

    BS going small…

  • GoodDayLA

I dont think they will win this game, but Lin is doing well.

CLakrson in means instant loss imho….

  • GoodDayLA

JC coming in is just a stupid substitution

  • sport

    UM bad shot by Lin…

  • IsabeliJane*17

It’s hilarious how Jordan Hill just backs off from defending Kanter while Jeremy is persistent in trying to steal the ball from Kanter

  • LAJane

Made quite a few good comments in this thread. Don’t see the trolling…

  • CJSHYY

BS wants to tank… why took Davis out?

  • Brent Yen

The way LAL double is just plan stupid…

  • sport

    Wow BS’s substitution actually worked!!

  • BuzzerBeater

yeah he forced that one but I love that score first mentality!

  • Promo Sports World

Be interesting to see where jeremy lands in the summer…love to see him start but I think he winds up playing 25-28 mins behind a superstar pg on a team with huge playoff potential

  • GoodDayLA

In Scott and Lakers defense, they are trying to space the floor even more with Clarkson in and Ed out. Personally, I thin its too small against OKC. But I can understand I guess.

  • blubell

15pts/8asts/5rb and only 1 TO. Lets go!

  • sport

    JC just made a 3!

  • sport

It’s working and OKC took time out! BS actually did something right again!

  • chan c

    Yay!

  • Alaingrvis

Not really aka wasn’t back so he drov. It was smart. No foul call

  • Alaingrvis

    Ibaka

  • sport

No Lin needs to go somewhere to start as PG!

  • Promo Sports World

Jeremy lamb will get a chance somewhere else and play very well

  • LAJane

    Grrrr…Davis out.

  • Rookie75094

    ye of little faith…smh

  • stam

i don’t know whose defense is worse hill or boozer, but at least boozer passes back to lin

  • JoeTeam

    2D!

  • sport

Give BS credit once he put both Kelly and Clarkson in both scored for the team!!

  • golfhacker

No Davis in 2nd half after being perfect in 1st half. Smh. But Kelly and Clarkson back in at crunch time.

  • Brent Yen

His problem is he could not prove he can contribute other than shooting…yet.

  • sport

Not complaing both Kelly and Clarkson made clutch shots to bring the game back!

  • GoodDayLA

the floor is spread so much now. WHen is the last time you see Lin dribble up pass and set screen for a 2 or 3 to curl around him? All of a sudden, its Lin running PnR up top like crazy

  • IsabeliJane*17

Jeremy is defending Kanter? Why not, the guy is WAY BETTER IN DEFENSE than Lakers bigs other than Davis.

  • LAJane

2 more assists, Jeremy, 2 more. I’m greedy for the double double.

  • Promo Sports World

I drink he wants to win more

  • sport

Hill losing the game for the team!!

  • Rookie75094

    hill is blowing the game

  • blubell

I’m can be more greedy… triple double!

  • Jack

Ibaka just tried to flop. Wow

  • Brent Yen

    HILL, I hate you

  • GoodDayLA

If the Lakers have half a brain, they can see Lin is legit and just needs better parts around HIM and not Kobe or anyone else. Use the 28 million and get some real big men and better shooters around LIN.

If they dont see it yet, they never will.

  • Promo Sports World

    Jordan hill just bad

  • stam

its not going to happen, jhill is in.

  • sws94

    Hill is playing terribly.

  • blubell

With little more playing time… 3D.

  • Rookie75094

not if Jlin keep passing to hill

  • I am The Jason

Jordan Hill got his tank commander helmet on right now.

  • blubell

    Where is ED?!

  • stam

The tank is strong, should put Ed davis .

  • LAJane

    Grrrrrr

  • chan c

Why is he not taken out if he is bad?

  • Alaingrvis

Bigs got dominated . Okc said anyone but Lin. And no one else showed up

  • cshot

    take hill out plz… plz!

  • John Lee

    Tank prison.

  • Rookie75094

Ed got tanked by the commander

  • GoodDayLA

um it clearly didn’t work. Id rather take my chances with Ed in

  • blubell
  • JJ Hui

BS coach want to tank so Hill in for Davis!

  • sws94

MVP chants for Lin from the Staples crowd.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Lin used to defend Dirk.

  • stam

    thank goodness no TO!

  • IsabeliJane*17

Yeah I saw that….I can’t decide if it’s a compliment for Jeremy or an insult to BS

Now I decided: an insult to Brooks lol

  • LAJane

You are LOL. What…uh 5 more rebounds and 2 more assists in 2 min? 😀

  • Promo Sports World

    Can’t blame jeremy

  • Grace Nsns

    3pointer!

  • blubell

    Beautiful 3333333333333333

  • Brent Yen

    Too early for that foul..

  • chan c

    Really? Wow!

  • LW

Lakers is in a race to the bottom. They have good people to help them reach that goal (e.g. Hill).

  • GoodDayLA

I think Scott said he wants to start Lin again before end of season right? I think starting next game would be nice….

  • Promo Sports World

    OKC Bigs won this game

  • stam

I don’t want him to start with sacre or without ed davis.

  • sport

Lin needs to make another clutch 3!!

  • LAJane

    Both

  • LAJane

    LOL

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Ideal situation Lakers loss and Lin picks up good stats.

  • blubell

    It is official: Linsanity!

  • Rick Johnson

Starting with Clarkson at PG is a waste.

  • GoodDayLA

I agree with those who said ED and not Hill should be in

  • Jack

    That was some nice D!

  • Promo Sports World

They played hard he played great …. Lakers bigs suck

  • stam

Errr wasn’t that steal from lin?

  • Brent Yen

    No

  • BobbyH

    Those refs are unbelievable.

  • GoodDayLA

not in a loss. but Lin looked AWESOME. You can see today he lost due to team poor shooting and lesser talent on the Lakers roster on the front line and lack of quality shooters.

  • sws94

LINSANITY!!!! No win but really good game on national TV

  • sport

WOW although they missed so much Lakers got what 3 rebounds with quick decisions and a steal with Clarkson’s dunk!! That was really nice team effort!!!

  • blubell

    why not?

  • stam

thought i saw lin tap the ball to clarkson lol

  • sport

I give BS credit this game he made the right decision to put Clarkson and Kelly in! Clarkson plays great defense and can score and dunk!

  • chan c

    Is it over?

  • ViNuyork

wow–Jlin must really be so tired…he is the only one doing everything for his dis tanking team…

  • GoodDayLA

    good point

  • BobbyH

The offensive rebound decides the game.

  • sport

Lakers really needs to make another 3 pointer!

  • golfhacker

Momentum changed when Hill ignored Lin and tried pass to half court that led to TO and then Hill fouled OKC for and 1.

  • JoeTeam

    and before

  • blubell

You’re right.. not in a loss

  • I am The Jason

Hill was following the tank commander orders

  • sport

Hill had alot of boneheaded plays this game!!!

  • GoodDayLA

    that pass was IDIOTIC

  • joyce ward
  • blubell
  • blubell

    Thank you Mark Media.

  • stam

I think they gave the steal to Lin.

  • blubell

it was for the earlier steal.

  • LAJane

It’s a special talent. Not everyone can do it 🙂

  • Brent Yen

I think they assume lin did not touch it

  • IsabeliJane*17

This game was won on the inside by Thunder fc.

  • joyce ward
  • chan c

    wow!that’s mad props…

  • blubell

nm… he did get it… wow.

  • blubell
  • Briiick

Thunder’s inside defense was way better than LAL.

  • blubell

What an efficient game by Jeremy!

  • stam

Jeremy played his heart out. I’m really proud of him, aggressive on both ends of the floor. Just sad he’s going to be down because they didn’t get the win.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Starters all negative in +/-
Bench players all positive in +/-
    Tank Commander at work!

  • joyce ward
  • Briiick

Lin again had the highest +/- of the team.

  • sport

BS should’ve taken Hill out and left Davis or Boozer in!!

  • Rick Johnson

More Lin less Clarkson at PG and they could have won that game.

  • blubell

He actually got credited for that steal.

  • stam

    3 steals for Lin!

  • Brent Yen

    IDK…..guards were not the problem….

  • I want to give Hill the benefit of the doubt after he crashed Lin’s post Boston game interview. They seemed close and friendly. But… Hill has ignored Lin a lot in previous games this whole season.

  • LAJane

very nice stats tonight! Happy dance.

  • joyce ward
  • sport

Clarkson played well made some clutch shots to keep the team close, Hill was just atrocious!! Lakers really need to trade Hill!

  • IsabeliJane*17

In this game I see that it was more on the fc… but I still agree in any way, more Jeremy, less Clarkson on point.

And more puppies for you. Is that a beagle?

  • John Lee

Well…yeah! BS took Davis out for Hill. ‘Nuff said.

  • Maknusia

Jeremy had another superb game! 20PTS, 3STL, 8AST, and 1TOV

ANd the jinx on me is lifted… @Rzo Vlade and @disqus_kq1CzK2p0F:disqus

  • GoodDayLA

I know Mitch Kupchak sees what we see. I’ve been following Lakers for a long time. I KNOW the front office sees it.

But I’m not sure there is anything Lin can do to win over the office so he gets handed the keys.

There is little more Lin can do except play PERFECT basketball.

I stil expect them to try with Kobe next season and go for another PG not named Jlin.

THey wll keep Lin in mind as plan B or C when he should be plan A.

  • blubell

    20pts, 8asts, 6 rbs, 3 stls, 1 TO, 7/14 fg in 32 mins.

  • LAJane

Well now, weirdly, on the NBS site it’s Hill, of all people, with +8 and Jeremy next with +6

  • Rick Johnson

Actually Hill had +8. It’s basically whoever is on the floor the least when Clarkson playing PG.

  • Keith

"They don't have people to surround him… a running mate for [Jeremy Lin]." You haven't hear that a lot recently, but we've been sayin…— Alexander Siu (@siushi) March 2, 2015

  • LAJane

Hahahaha. You’re right about Clarkson 🙂

But, I’m starting to feel bad about Clarkson in the same way I felt bad about Price. Getting pushed into the deep end is not his doing…BS says he’s being trained…um, to be the butt of fan backlash, I guess. He’s young and more naive than he thinks, for sure, so he may be trying to believe he’s a starter. Otherwise, what does he do…creep around looking sheepish? Am I too soft :)?

  • 1mtoldman

special mad props for not playing davis last part of game who had been 5 for 5 from the field.

  • Charlie S

More Ed Davis. Less Jordan Hill

  • GoodDayLA

the most positive thing he has ever said about Lin. EVER.

  • Rick Johnson

I bet if you subtract all the time Clarkson was playing PG Lin’s +/- would be much better.

  • Briiick

Yeah I remember Lin made Dirk miss his characteristic 2.

  • IsabeliJane*17

With Jeremy guarding Enes Kanter…. it seals the truth that Lakers fc is so bad, it’s worse than a rotting fruit.

  • CJSHYY

They can but BS wants to tank… smh!

  • blubell
  • james brown

soft (BS definition because he’s not passing more..he needs 20 assist to be HARD)…LOL!!!!

  • blubell

    Well, the tank…

  • 1mtoldman

speaking of guarding notice that augustine was eating up clarkson; after lin went on him later in the game he didn’t score again. he didn’t even try to score. he was just blowing by clarkson.

  • joyce ward

I love it that my bae got his points /assists and steals. I don’t even care about the loss, but laker fans got a better glimpse of what Clarkson brings to the table.. and the plot thickens

  • james brown

    bandwagoner!!!

  • Rick Johnson

    Boxer mix.

  • 1mtoldman

tank u very much for not playing yer 5 for 5 front court player when the game is on the line.

  • FrankW

    Lakers bench 52 points
    OKC bench 40 points
    Another good game for Lin:
    32 minutes, 6reb, 8 ast, 3 stl, 0 blk, 1 to, +6, 20 points

  • blubell

Soft because no triple double? lol.

  • gasparthe2

OKC is a solid well co-ordinated team; especially their backcourt. Ibaka is one of the best at what he does. Difficult team to beat.

Let the doubters doubt. The name of Jeremy Lin is rising again as he’s unleashed to perform. And as we Lin fans have retorted: Lin can lead any team to the win! Linsanity is here to stay 🙂

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

Simply put, I’ve never seen a guard who can go one-on-one against Jeremy’s defense… except when they have a good screener like Curry.

  • CJSHYY

Me too. I know BS will try everything to loss this game… smh! But Lin played well today. Ya! That’s all matter to me. LOL!

  • sport

If only Lin was surround with a better PnR PF to run with!

  • 1mtoldman

ok ive been waiting for someone 2 please explain “bae” to me; i never saw it before now i see it all the time. i have no idea what it means.

  • stam

Yeah his D was solid in this game, as always

  • blubell
  • blubell
  • stam

Yep and that would have been a rebound for him…

  • orLinaryjoe

Tankers got their tanking ways, Lin and fans got an linggressive game. Not too bad. I’m happy.

  • Charlie S

I would love to see more Boozer, Davis, Black and less Hill, Sacre. That would help JLin’s play even more.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I think it’s like “babe” but not sure.. better @awarde:disqus explain it

  • sport

Boozer, Davis, or Black would’ve been better than Hill during 4th quarter!!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Jordan Hill should start trying 3 pointers rather than long 2s. The dinosaur age coach is not going to win many games with so many long 2s.

  • blubell

are you still waiting for an answer? lol

  • IsabeliJane*17

How about just learn some post moves and leave the jump shooting to Lamarcus Aldridge.

  • 1mtoldman

    davis was having a great nite 5 for 5 and never got to play again. that was the imo key strategic tank move by bs tonite;

  • Charlie S

Well technically Hill is perfect from the 3 =)

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

    I stand corrected lol

  • blubell
  • blubell
  • joyce ward

I have been with the lakers for a long time too. Make no mistake, they will offer Lin a backup PG position. They like lin , but above all else they love that they have they are #1 in the asian market because of kobe. Lin has played it smart. Lin is the face of Adidas in Asian, and his jersey is #7 in the sales overseas.Lakers know this, and also there are fans from Taiwan flying in for every Lkaer home game, and when they come, they buy out all of the Lin’s merchandise. So this is way above Kobe and his ego, it it about business.

  • 1mtoldman

i got a partial below. apparently its just an internet spelling of babe, (but i imagine there’s more 2 it).

  • blubell
  • Acbc

Okay you are now Scott free! Lol

  • Rick Johnson

Yes, Hill should be cleaning up misses, getting rebounds, hitting bunnies. That long 2 game is a loser.

  • Charlie S

So per 36 min, that’s 22 pts, 6.5 assists, and less than 1 TO. Nope, still bench material…

  • cali7

We knew this from the beginning. Just goes to show, again, what happens when you play to a player’s strengths.

  • joyce ward

Yeah it is my baby. It come from Jay Z, that is what he calls Beyonce..LOL

  • Brent Yen

It is amazing how “get rid of mental garbage being thrown at him” can do for a player. The instant reflection is Lin’s handle…so tight…and efficient..

  • LW

You have to realize Lakers are actually in a race to the bottom 4 to secure draft picks. So the best case scenario for a Lakers and Lin fan is just like today’s game: Lin played great but the Lakers secure another loss. So everybody be happy!? I know it’s hard because it’s such a weird situation.

  • cali7

Scott saying the bigs for OKC made a big difference

  • Charlie S

Yes BS, you looked at Ed Davis stats and decided not to play him again

  • james brown

    soft..LOL!!!

  • 1mtoldman

as some here have suggested they seem to have reached a compromise where lin can get his opportunites, the tank is still in and clarkson can be “developed”. works for me. but im sure lin does not like to be play for a losing team.

  • blubell
  • wandertheglobe

Lin is one tough kid. Just got up and didn’t even argue.

  • james brown

    SLOW!!! (BS MINDS!)

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The ones with good +/- played too little time on the court.
The ones with bad +/- played too many minutes.

  • 1mtoldman

so its just babe with out the second b. ok now i can go to bed. thanks.

  • John Lee

There you go 1mtoldman, mystery solved!

  • blubell
  • Illbe

Defense by Clarkson in the 3rd qtr on Augustin caused a lot of trouble. Notice Augustin was quiet when Lin took over guarding him when Clarkson was out?

  • joyce ward

No , I think that Lin has realized that they are out of the playoff hopes. So now it is to win as many games as possible, because I truly believe that lin does not believing losing games purposely

  • Brent Yen

And in the end, if not Lin, it was Ellington on DJ

  • Alaingrvis

I was saying that all game

  • 1mtoldman

yeah its been buggin me cause its one of those internet spawned non words that doesn’t exist and then suddenly you see it everywhere. smh (as joyce would say).

  • JoeTeam

Nice Game … I saw half of 3rd and 4th.

BSc – no folded arms, sat relaxed on bench last 20 sec. He did it.
    Here’s how:

Hill about 30% effective on O, less on D. he weighted Hill over others.
Booz low mins, was he hurt?
Clarkson at key points to kill momentum. Did the iso thing except for one bailout to Lin.

Kelly very cold, so used him. Same with Ellington.

Lin had only 1 missed 3 that run … he did his best.

So, there you go, Lin can lead from now on it, BSc knows how to insert game stoppers. When NY comes back, there’s one more downside variable for usage.

  • FrankW

+/- all starters all -, all bench all +

  • Briiick

Hill’s defense is much worse than his offense.

  • JoeTeam

Lin for 2D if not for all the misses, fouls (saw it. PFV called to out in tw below.)

  • blubell
  • blubell
  • chan c

Now, all i have to do is wait for the highlight vid. I hope it comes fast.:)

  • joyce ward

Also, I love the praise that ESPN was lavishing on Lin. so it is a win win situation for me

  • Rick Johnson

Clarkson would be fine as a SG or off the bench but he’s not ready to be a starting PG. That’s just to disguise the tank.

  • John Lee

IT would’ve gotten a technical (or two) out of this. Oh wait, the ref would’ve called the foul if it was IT.

  • Illbe

Lakers lack 3 point shooters; Tonight the outside looks were not falling.

  • Brent Yen

    That was Klay Thompson’s dad…right?

  • 1mtoldman

im just saying by continuing to play the actual second unit as the first unit and thru strategic substitutions lakers can still lose, give lin opportunities. give clarkson his minutes 2; his “development” as a screen for “not prioritizing winning”. obviously none of the players on any team want to lose.

but if the organization had any interest in actually not losing to hold the pick they would not be starting the players they are starting.

  • CJSHYY

Me too. Lin played 2 good games in national TV after ASG.

  • 1mtoldman

bs doesn’t belieive in the 3 point shot (like analytics).

  • blubell
  • Illbe

Notice Lin becomes aggressive to shoot right after Clarkson leaves the court. He had a solid game, but perhaps could have stepped up sooner to look to shoot while Clarkson was still on the floor in the third.

  • joyce ward
  • blubell
  • 1mtoldman

dont forget failing to play ed davis after his 5 for 5 start. yeah thats what im trying to say other places. they have worked out a system that allows lin his opportunites and still permits “not prioritizng winning” (otherwise known as tanking) towards that wonderful all glorious draft pick.

  • Filler-up

It’s not the stats, its the players. where is Davis? playing Kelly at the 4 makes more sense with Davis in to protect the rim. Sit Hill and his empty stats.

  • Illbe

winning teams in the NBA all have strong 3 point shooters…it figures, BS

  • blubell

    3 steals.

  • Alaingrvis

You’ve mistaken. The way he is playing is perfect. He is patient. And waits till the fourth to do his damage. I’d keep it like that. Although clarkson is a sg

  • JoeTeam

Agree, didn’t want to steal your thunder lol. Hill was so bad.

  • blubell
  • 1mtoldman

augustin was destorying clarkson; once lin moved to him late he literally never scored again. and yes then later they did move ellington on him effectievely as well.

the point is he got all his 18 (basically) on clarkson.

btw lin not only led the lakers in scoring tonite he led both teams in scoring.

  • blubell
  • pandaboy99

lol at the starter plus minus

  • IsabeliJane*17

Simply put it, guards have difficulty when Jeremy is fronting them on defense unless they have a screener.

  • 1mtoldman

oh yeah thanks for saving a crumb for me! but yeah you nailed all the rest.

  • joyce ward

Also I like the TO for lin was a traveling call…WoHOOO!!

  • Filler-up

To be fair Clarkson had Boozer and Sacre behind him. Not a lot of speed there. Then he had Kelly also who could not guard his man.

  • 1mtoldman

yeah they did eventually give me that questioned steal. but early not so whoever wrote this up probably based it on previous stat sheet.

  • John Lee

Kobe losing sleep again. “Muse” only getting lukewarm reception and “Lin’s Lakers” doing well and getting more media attention.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I’m lost. Didn’t BS already retired from playing? *sarcastic smirk*

  • blubell
  • blubell

Muse is nothing compared to Linsanity 😛

  • pandaboy99

Is it a crazy theory to think maybe they looking for a Nick young sixth man replacement? young isnt getting any younger or better.

  • IsabeliJane*17

No need for him to sleep longer *evil grin*

  • Brent Yen

Do we need a post game thread?

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

    Imo this is ok actually

  • blubell

I think its ok until posts reach 1K+

  • John Lee

You could’ve stopped at “nothing”, period. 🙂

  • IsabeliJane*17

Tarik Black just “disappeared” sooner than he “arrived”…. would have been nice to see some more Jeremy-Tarik

  • blubell

Sorry, my fingers kept moving. 🙂

  • FrankW

    He had that rebound too.

  • Alaingrvis

theyhave him long term I think. He is young

  • blubell
  • joyce ward

Yep, it it getting luke warm reviews because nobody cares about kobe except for his fans.NBA has not even mentioned it,

  • Brent Yen

    Post game thread is up
    http://www.jlinportal.com/g58-okc-lal-postgame-thread/
I am busy so…no thoughts from my end.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Meant was I haven’t seen him on the floor lately. I just have to remember that it is Byron Scott that is coaching the Lakers who pick lineups like lottery numbers.

  • Linja

It took Mamba 19 years to come up with a docu that nobody likes. It took just two months for Linsanity! Ha, That says it all.

  • blubell

    Powerful.

  • linspiredinla

No chance to shoot when Clarkson playing PG. Lin didn’t get ball. Oly when Clarkson sat and Lin directing traffic, game changed & assists went up.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    WOW

  • John Lee

No thoughts? OMG Brent, you got byronscottitis!

  • blubell

I hope it is not contagious… stay away, Brent!

  • linspiredinla
  • Rick Johnson

Ya, it’s cover BS rear end time.

  • LAJane

JoeTeam and 1mtoldman…absolutely. After tonight’s game I was wondering if BS had finally got the recipe and you guys have really spelled it out for me. Win win for BS…he won’t get “Lin-in-prison” backlash, but team will still lose. As long as Jeremy can play and shine…I’m happy.

  • LAJane

As other have repeatedly said…with BS it’s never his fault!

  • JoeTeam

Yeah, the dial Lin down is not good for ratings, so this one is good for revs and they still can lose.

  • LAJane

You’re absolutely right he doesn’t believe in tanking, and hates losing. But I feel part of his “recharge” shift since the break is a less anxious/obsessive attitude about winning. Feels like he’s finally accepted that he can’t force others into coherence, can’t be responsible to pick up ALL the slack. But he can just let loose his own talent in each moment. Whether or not the team wins, HE can win. The words sound selfish, but the action is actually the opposite…freedom, flow, reliability, inspiration. Or, Linspiration 🙂

  • Maknusia

    phew…that was alot of pressure!

  • grover chang

Of course lin deserves it but Ibaka was the best player for the winning team. He is just lucky that lin was not the pg during the third so OKC could get a bg lead.

  • LAJane

He never wastes his energy. Arguing won’t change the call. Walk away. Really admire that about him.

  • ETC

I have such a problem with the coach. Jeremy gets evaluated on a different level. I watch how other teams support their players and help them get out of slumps, recover from injury, or create plays for them. Jeremy doesn’t get the same level of support. Even so, it is because of all the adversity, Jeremy has moved to the next level. I just wondered if he needed the DNP to push him to the next level or if he was on his way anyway?

  • grover chang

True, but when Hill ran to the top of the key, where he usually gets a pass, lin in the fourth anticipated it and ran straight for hill to use him as a poor man screen. Open drive to the basket. He knows hill kills offensive flow, brilliant move by Lin. He has to play a chess game against his own coach. BS is saying Lin was thinking too much and now is playing better since he is more relaxed. More like Lin thought more and figured out over the break how to beat BS and his tricks.

  • ETC

I believe that the biggest help for Jeremy so that he can play the way he does is really that Kobe is no longer there. People forget that the first 20 games, he had to deal with Kobe… Hard for a team to play team ball then.

  • grover chang

Yeah, but I hope they win. Lin likes the team to win. He will get in funk again if they just lose. It’s like playing slots, he has to hit a winner sometimes to keep him going.

  • Maknusia

as he mentioned, he is getting the spacing and ball in his hand…so obviously its not only Lin changing, but there is some changes on coaching strategy as well

  • Maknusia

As Lin mentioned, the coaching strategy had changed after ASG and he is getting more possession and spacing to play his game and get the team moving as well

  • 7iger

Well, BS do get credit for playing Lin more.

  • Keith

I love all this ridiculous speculation like Lin went and came back a new man. NO , he's just being given the ball more. Get it together!— iane Báez-Alpha Dork (@ianeBeE) March 2, 2015

  • Maknusia
  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOL No zero interest of watching:-)

  • JoeTeam

agree! Also, watched Asik for NOP after and wished for Lin to have a picker like Asik. He was really just rotating and creating lots of chances for the scorers.

  • chan c

    Word!

  • GoodDayLA

Oh I know they will offer Lin something. But see, I don’t believe Lin is going to resign to be the next BACKUP PG with the Lakers, maybe another team but not the Lakers. Now if he has no options and Lakers are it, sure Lin will take it and smile.

But I believe Lin has PRIDE and expectations and goals for himself. If the Lakers cannot commit to Lin, Lin will take his talent elsewhere. This is my opinion from watching him the last several years.

Even if Lin is offered the STARTING PG spot, Kobe is still a real issue. Kobe will just stand in the post, demand the ball, want to play PG, and ruin everything. I cannot imagine even mighty Lin can overcome it. The coach would have to bench Kobe and BS is not that guy.

Lin will resign if the Lakers commit to him and tell him Kobe is DONE in 2016 and that even with Kobe there, they are playing Lin style ball and Kobe will have to fit in OR ELSE become like Allen Iverson in Memphis and Detroit and eventually be forced to retire.

See the Front Office has now FORCED Scott to play Lin, forced the offense to completely change, forced the ball into Lin’s hand, forced the right guys to play next to Lin (Wayne, Ed, Wes, Kelly etc). This is not an accident. The Front Office has forced Scott to do this. Scott is not volunteering to do this on his own.

I think the Lakers forced Price to get surgery. I was wrong when I feared that. I knew it meant Lin would play more PG than SG. But I thought Scott would just push Lin into the background when that happened like the first half. I totally failed to realized the front office would empower Lin as PG like they have been the last few games.

What we are watching now is the closest set up to anything Lin had in NYC.

It is spectacular to watch and even if short lived, this will help Lin get a real contract this summer in LA or somewhere else.

I just do not see Lin coming back to LA to be a backup and deal with Kobe. Even for 1 year. So on this point, I strongly disgaree with you that Lin will even consider it unless he has zero other options.

It’s because Lin is finally being empowered to play his game with fair weapsons and usage at his disposal.

I’ve waited 3 years for this and didn’t think I’d ever see it again.

I just wanted some team to give him a fair shot and right now the Lakers front office have given him a fair shot to do his thing off the bench/limited minutes notwithstanding.

You can see from yesterday’s game if Lin had better parts around him and a deeper bench, this squad would be scary.
