G37 CHA @DEN Game Thread

Jeremy Lin is listed as questionable again after he reinjured the ankle although he was able to finish the game strong. It might be wise to sit out the game if the ankle is not cooperating on a back-to-back game.

If he does play, let’s hope and pray that he can be healthy and play well to continue his hot-shooting from the Clippers game.

Let’s go, JLin!

    First, Let’s Go Lin.

NY Disqus server is quick during the weekend.

  • This was a new warm-up for Lin before the Clippers game

  • Greg from Sportige says it best about the 6-game losing streak

There shouldn’t be a competition between Lin and Walker, but completion. However, Walker remains a player that stays unconnected to anything else on the floor. Isolations, tough shots, wasting time on the clock. The Hornets were losing by 19 points during his 38 minutes. Things weren’t much better for Lin or anyone else of the starters (-15 for Lin) in his 41 minutes, but at least he played a part in some good runs, when the Hornets managed to tie the game up before it got away from them again.

  • LinMad

It looks like last game, there has been a lot of outrage from Twitterverse about why Lin didn’t get a foul call on that play where he got bloodied. There has been a lot of media/press covering it too like espn, sportige, ballislife, SLAM magazine, hoopshype, etc. And even NBA, NBATV, NBA.com showed some highlights of Lin but in the comments section was just full of outrage and people calling it racist.

I’m happy they are supporting Lin like this. I’ve seen it happen too many times.

  • Good attention and publicity. NBA refs will be more careful not to have another blatant non-call.
It’s embarrassing the NBA with negative publicity.

Must NFL playoff game, how it ended.

  • LinMad

ya I’m surprised how much cover it got. Even from espn. I’m glad we’re not the only ones who see it.

  • LinMad

    lol wow indeed

  • Hope

    Any news whether jlin plays?

  • jeremylin17

its no wonder jeremy played really well last night. His TEAMMATES FINALLY set some screens for him. Like holy heck its about time that Clifford tried to utilize his talents to his fullest. Yes Kemba was still hogging the ball a little bit and towards the last quarter, Jeremy Lamb was ignoring him, but he despite that Lin played terrifically. And its unquestionably because Clifford finally used his brain and started setting some plays for Lin. Not plays that set up Kemba, plays specifically designed for Jlin to get to the rim and it worked magnificently as the stats portray.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

We have the fastest Lin news reporting here. There must be nothing yet.

  • blubell
  • takemeback2reaganyears

    See what I meant Hope?

    Most likely he’ll he plays.

Look at the reaction from the bench especially Daniels…

  • takemeback2reaganyears

How sad with no other Hornets near by the rolled ankle boy.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Oh oh. Getting closerrrrrr.

  • jeremylin17

Also If you look at all the games lin has performed well in, his teammates set screens for him. For example, the toronto game when he dropped 35, the 15 and 7 game he had in Washington and last night’s performance.

  • blubell
  • 1st Linsanity game = NY + JLin + MDA + Nets

It’d be funny if Linsanity repeats with Brooklyn Nets + JLin + MDA in NY again =)

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Not on the same island but same city, why not?

  • I like how (I think it’s Daniels?) kind of hits himself on the face to imitate the act!

  • blubell

Last 4 games, with injured ankle, Jeremy has averaged…
    33 minutes

    17 pts
    3 rebs
    3 asts
    48%fg, 40% 3fg, 72% FT

  • wu kong

Coming on the heels of the Kobe non called flagrant foul I am very pleased to see this reaction. hard fouls are one thing but that Kobe one with no foul at all and then last night is just too much.

  • wu kong

some good support out there for JLin:

    https://twitter.com/romelo/status/686296911259684864

  • Briiick

The deadliest next move by Nets would be to hire MDA as the HC and let him pick the general manager, then sign Lin next season and convert most of Knicks’ fans. Even though they have no future picks, they can turn themselves into a winner free agent magnet.

  • occupatio

    wow

  • Spot

I saw what Prokhorov said. They will finish this season with a temporary coach and waiting for a new GM to come next season. I heard he wants CSKA Moscow’s GM, Vatutin.

    It will not happen probably.

  • I am The Jason

How am I now just hearing about this.

  • kauaiblue

Nice to see support from teammates for once (besides knicks)…

  • kauaiblue

Where the heck was clifford when this happened?

  • james brown

now we can discuss sixers , Hornets and Nets as possible destination for JLIN!

  • LinMad

    lol

  • Alain Gervais

    hahaha

  • blueCypher

I don’t think Hornets front office would give up JLin this season

  • 1mtoldman

russian oligarch owner to do press conference tomorrow.

still not at that level like JJ Reddick and his meatshields. But it’s progress.

Believe there is another mistake on the time clock. Believe the game won’t start for a while. Any news about JLin’s possibility of playing. Can’t watch the game.

  • it’s 20:00 ET. It was incorrectly set at 19:00 before.
    It should be fixed now.

I must have bad schedule when I loaded them in preseason

  • John Focker

Gotta refresh, works for me. There was a malfunction once, so as long as psalm entered the correct time… 🙂

  • blueCypher

I’m seeing some tweets that Lin will play tonight. I don’t know how credible though

  • Alain Gervais

    he will play

  • 1mtoldman

well the offcial hornets pr tweet below says he will

  • Spot

They should give the job to Colangelo and D’Antoni.

If they’re in Philadelphia just as advisors, why not?

  • blueCypher

    Hah, I just saw that.

  • Linzen

    Ok Test #3.
I’ll miss my 3rd game tonight. First one he scored 35. Yesterday, he scored 26. How many do you think he’ll score?
    I hope he’ll score 30 tonight. But, he’s playing with a bad ankle. ?

  • takemeback2reaganyears

It’s team report so 100% credible.

  • 1mtoldman

    the new michael

  • LinMad

If Batum plays, Lin will get a smaller opportunity than before. He won’t start.

  • rookie75094

The question for me now is… are we will continue to endure the racist refs.

  • sport

    LOL

  • occupatio

actually, lin needs to be treated more outrageously by the refs for anyone to take notice. just staying at the previous level of bias will not change anything.

so, paradoxically, it will have to get WORSE before it gets better.

  • sport

Bench can’t believe there’s no call?!

  • sport

Batum back means Lin’s back to the bench? If Lin’s playing from the bench then I’m not watching. Knowing Walker and Batum they’ll hog the ball to no end and Lin will be stuck in the corner. Lin not playing PG is no fun!

  • occupatio

    or lin gets limited minutes.

  • izalongnight

i dont care if lin gets a little less minutes…i want to see a win

  • blueCypher

Its okay. For this game I don’t want to see Lin playing 40mins on those ankles

  • 1mtoldman

it doesn’t necessarily mean less minutes; just different minutes. but probably less scoring. lin has been getting consistent major minutes for 13 strait games and batum wasn’t out all of those games.

  • blueCypher

Ya, probably in the 28-30min range

  • BeastModeCowboy

    Lin will be playing!

Jeremy Lin (ankle) will play on Sunday vs. the Hornets.

Nicolas Batum (toe) is a game-time call, so Lin will draw another start if he can’t play. However, if either Lin or Batum is held out, Jeremy Lamb will get extended minutes off the bench. Jan 10 – 6:37 PM

9 strait wins si but only 8 strait without griffin

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Can’t watch the game as I’m going to be on the road and busy until much much later of my day. Pray that JLin continues to play well. Hope to hear the good news when I can catch up the news:-)

  • John Focker

Speaking of @Michael, he must’ve really been hibernating, for I haven’t seen him around here in a while.

  • JoeTeam

he sure doesn’t like to lose. Penny for his thoughts?

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin going back to the bench

  • JoeTeam

I still give him 28mins, 18 pts because he’s not going to let them lose another if he’s allowed a chance.

  • CaliUSMC

    I predict 30pts. LEGGO

  • blubell

“At this point, we are just trying to get a win,” guard Jeremy Lin said. “But I would say (Saturday) that we played harder and had more communication on the defensive end than we have had in previous games. If we keep playing as hard as we did (Saturday), good things will happen in the near future.”

That’s been rare with Batum – second on the team with a career-high 16.3 points per game – nursing a sprained right toe that’s sidelined him for the last four games.

Lin has started in his place over that stretch and performed very well, averaging 17.3 points on 48.1 percent shooting after scoring a season-high 26 against the Clippers. He’s scored 16.8 per contest while sinking 7 of 16 from long range in his last four visits to Denver.

  • 1mtoldman

lins scoring will have to be down with batum back getting shots; you notice lins two large scoring games came when batum was out.

however his minutes should remain good. he’s been getting minutes for some time even when batum in, just wont’ get as many shot opportunites.

  • occupatio

wrong to say 26 was his season high. nba.com sure is sloppy.

  • 1mtoldman

just be glad they’re talking about lin at all.

  • JoeTeam

“We’re trying to keep stats here …”

  • occupatio

    lol

  • JoeTeam

Yeah, I know I’m being hopeful because you know, it’s a cold winter day out here in CA, CA dreamin’

  • JoeTeam

    my eggo …

  • 1mtoldman

    ……on such a winter day.

  • Rick Johnson

I kind of like watching Lin starting off the bench. When he’s PG it is so obvious when the bench plays better than the starters. I don’t like his slow starts due to Kemba at PG. Obviously I’d prefer him starting at PG and Kemba perhaps playing SG or 6th man coming off the bench but that’s obviously not happening unless there is a drastic change.

  • JoeTeam

Hey all you Star Wars fans … IMAX was ok, 2nd time was just good. I’m convinced BB8 is a female given we’ve got 2 guys in C3PO and R2D2. Not sure who’re Rey’s parents, hmmm … can’t wait for 2017 … Lin year too.

  • 1mtoldman

there was only 1 scene shot for imax.

this is not unusual the one scene from one of the hobbit movies where the dragon destroys the city was the only scene shot for imax and was the most amazing thing ive ever seen.

  • blueCypher

I have yet to see Star Wars FA

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Got it.

  • JoeTeam

Well, I got down on my knees … ok, ’nuff. Lin double double then.

  • JoeTeam

oops, hope there’s no spoilers there sry 🙂

  • Alain Gervais

i saw 3d imax. would’ve rater just imax. not worth it a the end

  • blueCypher

Haha, it’s ok bro. I already know one major spoiler 🙂

  • JoeTeam

ok, it was 3D IMAX, so maybe 3D for me is meh. The only scene I liked in 3D was when fire embers flowed in front of the protagonist and antagonist. That really popped out. Rest was distracting whenever I tilted my head, because it would lose the polarization and I’d see double. Rookie 3Der me.

Which scene was IMAX if no spoilers?

  • blueCypher

How does it compare to Mad Max in terms of action though. Mad Max is movie of the year for me

  • blubell
  • JoeTeam

Luke, I’m your father ha ha.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Packers win… Redskins thought they could win with Kirk Cousins.. oh how they were mistaken

  • JoeTeam

oh, I gotta see that. I loved Road Warrior and Mad Max the origs, because I lived in Austrailia as a kid and recognized those outback scenes and the Aussie Holden (cars).

I also loved the scene in the orig Mad Max where Mel Gibson says: “You wanna get out of here, you talk to me …” That’s swag. “You wanna win, you talk to me …”, said Lin.

  • 1mtoldman

mad max is a lot more ambitious and sucessfull. actually they both are doing simillar things but max just adds new material, star wars basically doesnt; but i mean this is

    star wars.

its going to make ridiculous amounts of money and people have been waiting for it for a long time.

    its a cultural phenom.

  • blueCypher

I was blown away by Mad Max

  • blubell
  • JoeTeam

The reviews said their goal was to reset the series due to the miscues in the prequels, and I tend to agree. This is set up now for 3 more contracted movies to come, and the new characters are set to give a whole new gen some great fun. So much to talk about I’m in the wrong forum lol.

  • Alain Gervais

    lol you like that

  • JoeTeam

I gotta see it then, thx for the tip.

  • blueCypher

Top3 movies for me this year – Mad Max, The Martian, Inside Out

Hmmm, I haven’t see any of them. Been going to kiddie movies. Not happy ha ha. V happy about kids smile, though.

I much preferred Star Wars. Mad Max is fantastic but all surface. Thrilling, beautifully crafted surface but I don’t care about any of the characters and the filmmaking was pretty monotone — sound and image cranked up to 11 at all times. Like a rock song.

Star Wars had more flaws but superior characters and more “diverse” filmmaking — quiet and emotional when it needed, action-packed and thrilling when it needed. More like an opera…a space opera.

Fury Road is also a sequel to a sequel to a sequel just like Star Wars. The difference is that the Mad Max franchise isn’t 1/10000th as popular (or as good), so there was no hype or expectation. Many critics haven’t even seen all the movies, so it didn’t suffer by comparison.

  • occupatio

ben taylor sounds familiar. is he one of THOSE?

  • JoeTeam

    sultans of swing …

  • occupatio

in terms of how scripts are constructed, rey’s parents have to be someone the audience already knews. otherwise there is no point to hiding their identity.

if you accept that premise, its not hard to fill in the rest.

  • occupatio

mad max., all the major action sequences were sped up….which made me despise the movie. when hong kong did that same trick in the 90s, i also couldnt stand it.

  • blubell

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BB-8#Description
BB-8 is a spherical robot with a free-moving domed head. It is white, with orange and silver accents and a black optical lens on its head piece. Scanlan said of the robot’s personality, “We always imagined BB-8 as being quite manipulative. I think he knows he’s cute. He knows that he can win people over. And he uses that like children do to get his own way. In this film, he has a very important mission that he has to accomplish and so he uses his personality, his coyness, and all of those things.”[9] Of BB-8’s gender he said, “I’m still not sure, dare I say, whether BB-8 is male or female … BB-8 was female in our eyes. And then he or she became male. And that’s all part of the evolution, not only visually, but in the way they move, how they hold themselves.”

  • JoeTeam

I’m so confused lol. That’s the best part then, speculating while waiting 2 yrs. The funny part is, we take it for granted we’ll be around to see the next one. I’m v thankful to have had the chance to finish the Matrix Trilogy, Star Trek reboot, and now this. Every new one is just so cool. Having said that, indies are where it’s at for me, this is just ice cream.

  • ty

    that’s not cool, dude…

  • sport

Last time I checked Lin’s high scoring came when he was a starter not as bench player.

  • cdblue10

This should be an easy win

  • ty

    not cool, as well…

  • kauaiblue

Eh, he should just sit it out if batum starting… get prepared for next year, jlin!

  • Alain Gervais

    dont assume that

On a separate matter, those stupid state farm commercials make me not want to be with state farm… lol

  • cdblue10

    Just trying to be positive

  • zxcvb

Yeah, it was always a great world that George Miller created, but I don’t remember that much about it. I remember seeing it on TV growing up and thinking, “Cool!” but that’s it.

And then I saw Fury Road and, like most people, I wasn’t expecting anything but a solid action movie. Instead we got something pretty inspired and really imaginative. That was surprising. Star Wars had unprecedented hype so anything that wasn’t perfect would disappoint.

  • LinMad

not as annoying as wayfair commercials

  • sws94

I haven’t found Lin to have the same chemistry with Zeller. It’s chemistry. Batum is doing very well facilitating tonight. It is night and day when he’s in vs. when he’s not. Credit where credit is due.

  • John Focker

Batum with 4 asts in just under 4 min. An SF who’s better at playing PG than the starting “PG”.

  • LinMad

Starters are too focused on scoring and not defending

  • BeastModeCowboy

thats common these days.. Lebron plays better “PG” than Kyrie.. but they are both still effective

  • CJSHYY

I think when Lin is in then Kemba will start to take the shot.

  • NONONO

It seems Clifford focuss too much on 3pts. so when the players 3pts are off, they then rely on Kemba’s ISOs

  • cdblue10

Clifford should be frustrated every time he will call for time out

  • Alain Gervais

every teams had been killing us on the 3 point line. i honestly don’t get it

  • kauaiblue

That’s great, but this is JLinPortal, not Batum.net.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Nuggets have scored 24 pts and theres still 5:24 left… geez

  • cshot

    being lazy

  • sws94

    Missing rotations. Usually thing.

  • kauaiblue

    Exactly

  • Alain Gervais

yesterday the defense was good now its bad in just 24 hours

  • occupatio

    hornets interior D looks bad

  • Joe what do you know

Kemba is outplayed by Mudiay so far…. Batum is doing fine coming back from injury. This is about what the narrative is so far…

  • cdblue10

As long as Kemba is playing as a starter, nothing would change on this team

  • aras

back to back in denver is tough altitude and all

  • BeastModeCowboy

    Lins in

  • BeastModeCowboy

This Hornets team is a mess.. geez

  • LinMad

Lin needs to be the one handling the ball.

  • John Focker

Kemba just padding stat and not playing D, so no one else wants to sacrifice either.

  • occupatio

give up that line of thought.

  • blubell

    Assist

  • BeastModeCowboy

nice pass Lin.. dont stop dribbling in the paint tho

  • 808JL7

    Lin assist to Kamisky.

  • LinMad

    good defense by Lin

  • cshot

    that a steal?

  • 808JL7

Lin strips the ball for TO.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Nuggets announcer: Lin not a great defender

yeah ok thats why he stripped the ball out yo boys hands right

  • Alain Gervais

    yep

  • LinMad

Why is Zeller dribbling so much

  • stam

the anouncers said lin not a good defender.. he’s the best defender on the team lol.

  • blubell

DEN announcer: he’s a good player. Minute later… he’s not a great defender. Lol

  • cdblue10

Nice D by Lin…lol that guy who’s saying that Lin is not a good defender,he prolly not watching Lin at all

  • Alain Gervais

    lol

  • 808JL7

    Zeller really should not dribble.

  • cshot

as he strips the ball lol

  • John Focker

    Home court damage control.

  • rookie75094

Zeller should be on the bench

  • NONONO

NBA stats does not count forced TO as steal , otherwise Lin might have 2-3 extra steals/game

  • LinMad

    bigs are killing us

  • rookie75094

    Charlotte bigs are USELESS!!!

  • BeastModeCowboy

Kaminsky likes to do multiple 360’s on the same pivot foot… this aint college buddy.. aint going to work

  • sws94

Kaminsky needs to let Lin assist him.

  • NONONO

Kemba ignore open LIn as usual

  • stam

    Lin got a blocked shot?

  • BeastModeCowboy

watch the game.. not the box score

  • DX

    Kemba should take a break.

  • Yascar

    Yes

  • BeastModeCowboy

Will Barton.. the man is going to win 6th man of the year

  • occupatio

annoucners said lin isnt good defender. like 5 min ago

  • GoJLin!

03:42 Harris Layup Shot: Missed Block: Lin (1 BLK)

  • Joe what do you know

At this point… I’d rather they have Ryan Kelly and Andrea Bargnani….

  • NONONO

Kemba is on his way to shoot Hornets out of game again

  • 808JL7

Iso Kemba lets sit his butt down.

  • cdblue10

He should not be playing at all.A player that doesn’t play defense or can’t even defend should be sitting with the scrubs

  • kauaiblue

That was Scott Hastings, a career scrub… he has historically been anti-Lin… a moron…

  • stam

Keep shooting Lin, you’ll get hot.

  • occupatio

    good to know.

  • cdblue10

AS soon as Kemba sit,Hornets will regain the lead

  • NONONO

Yes. he needs some warm up like last game

  • Maknusia

    Missed yesterday’s game!

With Batum in…lets see how the rotation and minutes go…. Go LIN

  • kauaiblue

    These bigs sukk!

  • David Ly

Anybody else have a good stream that’s working? My stream shut down.

  • BeastModeCowboy

damn Lin off to a 0-3 start.. lets hope this changes

  • fatbob

holy crap, is lin like 0-3 fg and 0-2 from 3 already?

  • Alain Gervais

    our defense is so frustrating

  • kauaiblue

    He’s getting good looks…

  • Alain Gervais

its ok 0-4 last game to start

  • stam

Nuggest are shooting 83% from 3pt, law of the averages, it should come back down soon.

  • Sundown

announcer also called him “Jeremy Lamb” and the team alternately the Bobcats and the Grizzlies.

  • LinMad

yep, he was 0-4 last game then kept shooting and got out the slump

  • tom

    Lin shots arent falling again
    Hoping for a better 2nd Q

  • sws94

Exactly. You can start off 0-5 and end up 6-14 or better. He had good looks, just keep shooting it.

  • CJSHYY

    No big deal.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Why the “bad word” Hawes still wastes playing time?

Sit him the “bad word” down.

  • NONONO

Hornets’ weak defense helps Suns and Nuggets have their best scoring quarters in the season.

  • Alain Gervais

    defense the main concern

  • LinMad

0-3 is 0-3. When you name each one separately it makes it look like he missed 5 shots lol

  • kauaiblue

Im not sure what he is good at?

  • Maknusia

that seems to be the difference maker now…Hornets starts with bad shooting on 3s

  • Guest

Nuggets are going to run the hornets to the ground. Altitude and hornets tired legs is a bad combination.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Me neither

  • blubell

    Hawes…

  • LinMad

    Hawes cussed at refs lol

  • BeastModeCowboy

HAWES NEVERS MAKES A LAYUP OMG

  • 808JL7

    A tech foul.

  • Maknusia

    tired of em…just ignore

  • BeastModeCowboy

I swear Hawes misses every single time down there

  • Joe what do you know

I hope this is Hawes’ last season in NBA….

  • tom

Spencer hawes “G*dD*mn it thats a f**king foul” yep technical

  • cdblue10

    LOL Hawes,what the F

  • LinMad

ok Lin needs to attack the basket now.

  • blubell

    Please sit Hawes…

  • Alain Gervais

can we go toward the rim please

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lets go 8 pt ball game

  • cdblue10

Here comes the Hornets, then Kemba will come back

  • tom

Come on Lin make some buckets

  • Joe what do you know

    OMG HAWES… SMH

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin 0-4 no worries.. lets finish strong

  • kauaiblue

    And Batum completely ignores JLin…

  • BeastModeCowboy

stop it.. hes been passing to Lin

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Ok Hornets depend on their big to shoot 3?

  • kauaiblue

    No.

  • aras

Lin 0-4 so far hope that does not continue

  • jeremylin17

the funny thing with hawes is he can make the 3 point shot, but hes pretty much worthless everywhere else. maybe he can set an occasional good pick every now and then

  • BeastModeCowboy

yes he has.. stop trying to make Lin look like a victim

  • LinMad

4 misses by Lin. Now he’ll never miss.

  • sws94

He has to shoot every next shot like it is going in.

  • aras

he has passed lin what are you talking about?

  • cdblue10

I can’t understand why they always want to get the ball outside the painted area.

  • kauaiblue

No, he does not pass it to JLin…

  • sws94

He has. This gets annoying. Batum has been the least selfish player on the court.

  • stam

Yeah his shooting is off tonight but he’s playing good on defense

  • Warren

Jeremy Lin’s 26 Points In Vain, Hornets Lose Sixth In A Row
    http://www.morningnewsusa.com/jeremy-lins-26-points-vain-hornets-lose-sixth-row-2352004.html

  • aras

yeah he does. he has had really good looks so far

  • LinMad

airball. why is Lin shooting so much 3s?

  • tom

WHAT LIN why u missing so mnay shots

  • aras

    wow..

  • BeastModeCowboy

wow Lin airball.. guess his ankles not right

  • Alain Gervais

Lin playing the opposite of his game

  • DX

    Airball, OMG!

  • 808JL7

    Oh no Hawes. Don’t dribble.

  • he probably doesn’t want to drive because of his ankle.

  • kauaiblue

Why is Hawes in there? Bring Psycho T in… at least he plays hard…

  • cdblue10

Even if shots are not falling if he makes his effort in defense and some other things,it’s still a good basketball

  • LinMad

Lin needs to drive, shooting so many 3s

  • MorlockO

5 TO from your big men, not very good.

  • John Focker

Batum got 5 asts in 6.5 minutes, as many as the starting “PG” gets in an entire game.

  • cdblue10

4 point lead and kemba will subs in

  • kauaiblue

    And Batun ignores JLin again…

  • BeastModeCowboy

    Lamb playing well

  • Maknusia

Looks like his ankle still not there yet…hence he is taking it at 3s….instead of driving

  • cshot

its fine. I’m glad he’s taking them. they will fall eventually

  • BeastModeCowboy

because he’s 0-5.. do you blame him?

  • Joe what do you know

Please someone drag Hawes off the court…

  • MorlockO

but lin is not shooting well…

  • Alain Gervais

team playing better. Lin drive the ball please

  • tom

Lin come one at least 10pts

  • kauaiblue

    Hes the pg.

  • stam

Lin seems affected by his poor shooting, passing more than looking for his shot.

  • BeastModeCowboy

they just got an easy bucket for Lamb.. why are you complaining

  • kauaiblue

He’s open, and Batum regularly ingores JLin. Just watch.

  • Maknusia

The Bench are closing he gap!…Go BF1

  • LinMad

what sucks is that Lin won’t get a high shooting volume this game like he did last game.

  • blubell

    Good D

  • aras

    this is ridiculous

  • NONONO

Hornets could win this game if they kept Kemba out of 4th quarter.

  • LinMad

    Lin playing good D though.

  • BeastModeCowboy

as long as they win its fine

  • kauaiblue

Batum regularly ignores JLin. Just you watch.

  • cdblue10

It’s obvious what’s the problem in Hornets.

  • JoeTeam

and he won’t score unless he gets whistles.

  • stam

Yes he is, shutting his opponent down.

  • NONONO

Lin’s shooting is not good, but his spacing and defense help the the game alive

  • cdblue10

I think I can tell the future.Hornets will regain the lead

  • Maknusia

    BF1 equalize the board…41-41

  • cshot

    smart drive

  • LinMad

good penetration Lin. That’s what u got to do!

  • blubell

Another hard foul. They better call that.

  • wu kong

CHA@DEN Technical foul on Spencer Hawes. https://twitter.com/monkeyes2/status/686363343259578368

  • DX

Suggest Lin do some short range shot if not falling.

  • BeastModeCowboy

I knew Lins first points would come from the FT Line.. thts what he does baby when his shots off

  • BeastModeCowboy

thats why he went stragiht to the rack

  • JoeTeam

15-2 run now FTs for Lin. That’s because of team stops and team scoring. Don’t mind if Lin not getting his turn in team scorning as long as CHA are coming back on DEN.

  • LinMad

Lin looks like he’s more focused on D today since his shots are falling down. That’s why he’s such a good player. He can switch from offense to defense whenever he wants. Especially when he sees others scoring well, he’s fine with it.

  • cshot

    lin locking up mudiay

  • kauaiblue

A short jumper would be nice there.

  • cdblue10

    Defense always wins the game

  • NONONO

Denver 36 pts in 1st quarter , 5 pts in 6 mins 2rd quarter. Thank you , Lin

  • Guest

Lin is doing good but team is playing team defense well for that run. Slowing down the guards enough for Lin to recover.

  • stam

I really hope Lin makes the FTs!

  • BeastModeCowboy

This UNIT plays smart basketball.. thats the difference

  • LinMad

Yes, I think he took way too many 3s at the start.

  • LinMad

Why is Lin 0-5? He took 4 three point shots.

  • aras

    knock on wood!

  • LinMad

    1/2 FTs

  • blubell

    Made one.

  • tom

OMG so many misses Lin come on!

  • occupatio

    missed a shot in paint

  • Maknusia

Lin gives the lead…although its just one pt

  • DX

Lin is cold as ice today.

  • cdblue10

The good thing is they play 4 quarters

  • LinMad

    good assist!

  • blubell

    Assist

  • LinMad

    nice illegal screen on Lin

  • NONONO

    Lin’s defense is killing Negguts

  • Maknusia

    4 pt lead!

  • LinMad

    good thing is they’re up

  • cdblue10

geez Kemba come back,Nuggets will regain the lead again

  • Maknusia

OK …KW is in for Lin at 4:40

  • BeastModeCowboy

you were right.. 4 pt lead and Kemba comes in lol

  • kauaiblue

    Oh no, walker in…

  • tom

Wow Lin out? so dumb Clifford

  • NONONO

Did Cliff just take Lin out after Lin helped +4 pts over Nuggets ????

  • kauaiblue

    Rest.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Batum what kind of pass was that

  • LinMad

bad TO by Batum lol. I think batum’s expectation for Zeller is too high. He thinks he’s Deandre Jordan or something

  • cdblue10

    Kemba the momentum killer

  • BeastModeCowboy

    Lin out and defense struggles

  • tom

So Lamb back to being the 6th man?

  • kauaiblue

JLin out, and the lead evaporates.

  • JoeTeam

19-2 run with Lin. Now 21-6 I think since KW took over.

  • cdblue10

Watch out for Kemba he’s frustrated passing the ball…lol

  • Maknusia

I dont mind if Lin gets less minutes in this game…his ankle is all beaten up…we can see that from his moves and shots

  • stam

He needs some rest. Maybe he will shoot better when he’s back in, but i ahve a feeling lamb will have lin’s mins today.

  • Maknusia

    ANother TO…ouch!

  • LinMad

not happy with that play Lamb. Should have shot the open 3.

  • kauaiblue

    Offense looks bad.

  • DX

Batum can do some good passes, but he is not a good controller.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin played good defense but I dont blame Clifford for taking out Lin.. hes 0-5 and frankly if he would have made at least 2 out of those shots he would still be in the game

  • LinMad

he can’t pass on a fast break or when players move fast.

  • cshot

lol lamb with that terrible choice of ump faking a wiiiiiide open 3

  • kauaiblue

Yes, he looks like he is taking it more easy. I like how he is playing calm.

  • LinMad

agree, but taking him out means defense takes a hit.

  • JoeTeam

and his efficiency v low but he got the team back through leading D and good PG … opened up some easy baskets as part of the 19-2 run he was on the court for.

  • cshot

fair statement. still had a lot of hockey assists as well

  • JoeTeam

that was really a bad choice you are right. Then took it in for an O foul. Wide open 3.

  • kauaiblue

Agreed. He should not be controlling the game. He should be following the pg (not Walker).

  • stam

Lin is shooting badly, his FT almost went out, but he was able to contribute on defensive end and ball movement was better. Also had an important role in the 19-2 run.

  • LinMad

4 out of 5 shots that Lin took were 3 pointers no wonder he hasn’t made one. He needs to shoot inside more but maybe it is because of the team they are playing. Maybe nuggets is known for interior D.

  • NONONO

Kemba did not kill Hornets’ game. Clifford does!

  • BeastModeCowboy

Gallinari 16 pts already.. somebody guard this man

  • BeastModeCowboy

wheres Lin when we need him

  • LinMad

    that should have been foul…

  • cshot

    get zeller outta here lol

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lamb playing real well.. proud of him

  • John Focker

Lin +9, Walker -12. Just saying.

  • blubell

    Give him a break. He’s not 100%.

  • cdblue10

Mudiay didn’t score at all,he got rebounds, assists, little things that will help the team wins, basketball is not always making the shots,

  • MomentousPetey

    Form looks good tho =)

  • kauaiblue

walker is like a revolving door on defense…

  • LinMad

    phew Batum…

  • LinMad

When Lin gone, it just looks like we’re trading buckets.

  • BeastModeCowboy

why didnt LAMB shoot that?? he was wide open

  • blubell
  • Maknusia

Batum for 3! phew…for a moment I thought they gonna lose the lead

  • stam

whose guarding foye? my stream is unclear

  • NONONO

it is always like that. Others keep busy on building stats

  • kauaiblue

    walker

  • jeremylin17

why is jeremy lin such a streaky shooter? one night he can’t miss and the next night he struggles to just make a shot.

  • cshot

another wiiiiide open 3 that he didn’t take lol

  • MomentousPetey

why is Lamb not taking open 3s?

  • LinMad

+/- dumb? What does that mean?

  • MomentousPetey

    flagged

  • cshot

u try being consistent with a bad ankle

  • LinMad

You forgot he was 0-4 last game. He’s 0-5 this game. He just needs to shoot more but I think he wants to help on the defense end today.

  • tom

Lin lost 6th man job cool
Lets finish the season strong and move on
This team is not worth it

  • BeastModeCowboy

Kaminsky/Lamb players of the game so far

  • kauaiblue

the NBA TV crew just said that, JLin had 26 pts last game. He’ll show up at some point. These guys have always been to JLin.

  • NONONO

    he prefers Lin’s pass

  • BeastModeCowboy

??? calm down its one half lol hes still the 6th man

  • BeastModeCowboy

Rick Fox is a fan of Lin

  • kauaiblue

    Agreed.

  • LinMad

    is he?

  • Maknusia

everyone has off nights! especially if one is all banged up….Lin had been very consistent this season…he had straight double digit games

  • tom

He shat on Lin pretty hard this one time
    He’s neutral

  • MomentousPetey

go circle jerk somewhere else with the other knee-jerkers….

  • LinMad

it’s called damage control from uproar of the no call foul last game.

  • stam

His role is streaky too and he gets fouled hard with non-calls so that may account for some of his misses

  • blubell

    That was Rick Fox

  • NONONO

I am not worry about it. He helps almost shut down Nuggets scorings

  • kauaiblue

Ah, of course. But Barry has been complimentary of our guy, and one of the other guys was good in the past.

  • David Ly

Found a good stream again. http://zunox.hk/zunox1.html

  • LinMad

ya i remember he did that

  • tom

    He’s such an inconsistent scorer
    It’s frustrating sometimes

  • LinMad

what’s the difference between Lin’s last game where he went 0-4 and this one where he went 0-5? He just needs to shoot more and more touches. It’s obviously a change cause he’s back on the bench compared to last game where he started.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Even if Lin misses the next 10 shots, he’s still the most effective PG and the best defender of the team, period.

  • MomentousPetey

whats with Lamb not taking open 3s tho…strange

  • MorlockO

    I think your trolling now….

  • JoeTeam

relax, 2nd day of an ankle roll is a bad day. He’s hitting way short, meaning his jump is weak.

  • tom

Yah he needs to be on the court to take shots

  • LinMad

he don’t want to miss like Lin did lol

Lin took 4 threes out of his 5 shots. That was unusual of him.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Foye is shooting 100%

  • NONONO

Do not worry about Lin’s shootings. He looks like healthy and play excellent defense. Good things will come.

  • tom

    They were running the clock

  • tom

    Until Clifford pulls him out

  • guest

He wants to keep his hi %

  • LinMad

yep, and he did put a lot into last night’s game. Blood/sweat. It’s a back 2 back game.

  • blubell

Brent Barry is more Lin fan than Fox. He’s been consistent in his support for Jeremy.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Thanks David

  • NONONO

Clifford is always Clifford. He would change his approaches when Kemba is about shooting Hornets out of the playoffs

  • cshot

    jeremy practicing shooting during halftime

  • for all the talk of kemba chucking, he has only taken 2 shots in the first half.

  • jeremylin17

come on man why do you have to be so butthurt. I was making an observation. I said he played very well the game before. I am a big fan of jlin obviously or I wouldn’t be on this site. Lin has been very streaky from long distance this season ever since he changed his shooting form. He is at his best when he drives and gets to the rim, but with kemba and batum he is not given the green light.

  • cdblue10

    Don’t say the obvious

  • kauaiblue

It seems like someone told him to stop chucking…

  • sws94

where did you get that idea? He’s 6th man.

  • MoominFloren

How’s our boy doing? His ankle’s fine ?

  • LinMad

i’m just trying to see if the refs will be more fair to Lin. So far it looks good. Lin needs to drive more to test the refs and see if they will whistle on contact. No more 3 pointers.

  • cshot

sinking in 3s right now lol.. keep on shooting!!

  • JoeTeam

    Watch the game:

Lin 2nd Q without KW start of 2nd to 4:40:
    26-36
    45-41

    Half, with KW at helm:
    56-53

    19-2 run under Lin 8:20
    11-12 under Kemba 4:40

Please to all let’s watch bball with bbIQ.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

It’s just right in front of my eyes.

  • cdblue10

He’s just a regular player,he’s supposed to do that all the time

  • sws94

    James Harden.

  • Weifang

refs can play games too. They can only be mean when it matters

  • LinMad

Kemba looks like he’s changing. He’s not ISOing anymore but we’ll see in 2nd half.

  • JoeTeam

on D looks ok, but messing up his shots missed 1 FT, 0-5, shorted a 3 by about 6-12″

  • kauaiblue

Yes, I like Brent, and this other guy, not Vince Cellini… He always brings up Linsanity and his voice tone is positive when he talks of our boy…

  • i’m glad Lin got a block… i want him to keep the high blocking %. =)

  • stam

LOL i think he will take matters onto his own hands soon.

  • kauaiblue

    Obvious to everyone except Clifford…

  • tom

    Just a temporary mental meltdown

  • grover chang

Having Batum really helps. Some of it is because he will pass but having Batum also decreases walker usage which also helps.

  • JoeTeam

you there or are they saying?

  • sws94

    Ha!

  • kauaiblue

    lol

  • blubell

    Defensive first team? 🙂

  • sws94

He’s only shot poorly. But he looks decent out there and played better defense today, made good passes, and as usual draws fouls. He also had a rebound or two I remember. I wish guys would run when he rebounds. Lin doesn’t get to play his transition game on Charlotte much.

  • kauaiblue

Nice breakdown. Walker is just not the guy…

  • tom

It’s a tight game I understand why Clifford wants to put someone whos scoring well
Lin, you gotta make shots if you wanna play more please get yourself together!!! 0-4 from 3 is not acceptable! all were wide open

  • MoominFloren

    Thank you

  • JoeTeam

19-2 run is what Cliff wanted. Then he gave Lin’s ankle a rest I am glad.

  • LinMad

The problem is that Lin is like the only player on this team who creates plays for others. I can’t really point at any other player who creates plays for Lin. KW does not. Batum does not. The only ones I can say is Hawes and we all know he’s not very good at setting up screens. Lin has to move off the ball a lot just to create a weak spot int he defense. The only plays I’ve seen from KW/Batum to Lin is when Lin cuts into a weak spot and KW/Batum actually passes it to Lin. But then again, that’s more like Lin creating his own play.

  • kauaiblue

Scoring is one thing, JLin brings control to the game… the tempo and organization is much better with JLin at the helm…

  • LinMad

    OT Rockets

  • JoeTeam

easy to follow if you tally up play by play. Announcers gave me the hint, but they stopped tracking when KW came in and never gave JLin the cred. We of course need to see it so we can tweet it!

  • blubell
  • kauaiblue

Monta Ellis shot up a duck…

  • CaliUSMC

Bro- that junk is CLEAR. Thanks

  • kauaiblue

That’s true, and Batum willingly gives it to walker and anyone else not JLin… just watch…

  • RAFA17

i like batum and i think he is a big part of the hornet’s success, however when batum plays, Lin gets relegated to the bench. Also, Lin is at his best when he is attacking and going to the rim, which means he needs his teammates to set pick and rolls for him and he needs to be the number one option. Unfortunately, whenever he gets the ball, Kemba, batum, or jeremy lamb always f****** call for the ball giving lin no opportunity to showcase his true potential. I want lin to opt out of his contract and reunite with Mike D’antoni because we all know, no other coach in the nba recognizes lin’s talens other than MDA. this is a sad truth, but it seems many other coaches are racist, or just plain stupid because they do not see how good jlin really is.

  • fatbob

lol, lin has secured the 6th man role on the team. The point of a 6th man is to come in and change the flow, or outcome of a game. They do the small things, the hard things, they take the charge, they get the block, they read the picks, play the hard D, inject confidence and energy into the team. Lamb might be a good scorer on some days, but the other things he is not so good at.

  • tom

I dont think Clifford cares lol or he wouldve finished the half

  • blubell
  • kauaiblue

It’s obvious to everyone but clifford…

  • tom

Don’t think that was a rest but Lin wasnt scoring and he needed scoring

  • blubell
  • cdblue10

Some people won’t understand this, they just think that basketball is about making a shot.

  • kauaiblue

I think it was to rest JLin and watch the ankle. but who knows. batum is back and JLin is just a step child again…

  • JoeTeam

and I noticed during the 19-2 run, Lin anchored the O with strong D. He wasn’t the guy who got the reb or interior play, but he really pressured the first ball in.

Then on O, it was spread around but I could tell it was Lin threatening inside and when he did get in for a triple, he always released it out. Then the ball zipped to the open man. Like someone here posted, JLin is dribbling to break down the D, not get his own shot. I think that was psalm.

Enjoyed the first half of Lin, though I need his points for fantasy, just like you want! He’s the reason why CHA are up, instead of down by 10. Now, it looks to me like without a good shot today, Cliff needs to limp CHA through Lin to the endgame, and hope for the best.

  • LinMad

those and1s…if u gonna foul, make sure they dont shoot it.

  • cdblue10

Defense always breaks down from the point of attack, back court is just so soft

  • BeastModeCowboy

Kemba back to his old ways

  • LinMad

that must be the reason he shot so many 3s today

  • kauaiblue

    Wow, everyone just standing around…

  • LinMad

    caught up already

  • Alain Gervais

    starters suck

  • LinMad

told u…with Lin out, it’s just trading buckets.

  • tom

    Mudiay is horrible
Kids got a lot to learn

  • John Focker

Not “some” people…that’s the way MOST fans think. There’ll always be many more casual fans than those who study the intricacies of the game, rule of the pyramid.

  • JJ Hui

I saw KW left his man so far apart twice in 3rd quarter, is he drunk or what?

  • fatbob

true, this team has weak defense

  • LinMad

    bring Lin in for defense

  • kauaiblue

    Wow, this team sukks…

  • cdblue10

    dribble,dribble,dribble,what the heck.

  • JJ Hui

    And again!!!

  • Alain Gervais

starters letting denver get in rhythm lin and the bench will have to put out the fire …again

  • kauaiblue

    Boring.

  • LinMad

this looks ugly, it’s like shoot, run back, watch them shoot, run forward, shoot, rinse repeat

  • cdblue10

    you noticed that one too.

  • stam

walker didn’t even jump to defend

  • kauaiblue

Blues brother, you got that right…

  • John Focker

It’s amazing how the simple logic of “trading baskets does not win games” eludes many of the so-called NBA “professionals”.

Kemba with team worst -15 now, I’m impressed by how influential he’s been for the Hornets.

  • blubell

    LOL

  • LinMad

now buckets dont fall for us so we fall behind

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The first team is losing to their first team. It’s up to the bench to come in to help.

  • cdblue10

    It’s like I’m watching a palyground game

  • Joe what do you know

…. Lol. This is like watching my Sunday daddy’s league…. Kemba just can’t organise an offense.

  • kauaiblue

    YMCA?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

What brings the Hornets back is defense.

  • BeastModeCowboy

no idea why Clifford never calls timeouts… your team was just up by 8 and now youre down by 1.. get a clue

  • LinMad

the point of playing defense is to make the other team work for the basket. Then they get even more tired, can’t play defense, can’t shoot, etc. If you do it regularly, it won’t break you down as much. But if you do it once every full moon, ur gonna get tired. So that’s why it’s good to do it at every game like Lin does. His body is conditioned to play both sides of the court.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I tuned in second half… I am getting sleepy with this game

  • cdblue10

    Looks like it

  • John Focker

He only jumps to shoot, not for anything else.

  • cdblue10

    LOL

  • BeastModeCowboy

    damn Kemba game worse -15

  • tom

    Kemba al the way!

  • kauaiblue

    lol

  • BeastModeCowboy

man if Hornets had Mike D’antoni as the coach they would be top 4 seed easy

  • kauaiblue

He has Walker and Batum running the offense… i thinking calling timeouts is the least of his problems… lol

  • tom

If Clifford continues to let Kemba do whatever he wants
Hes gonn alose respect from team

  • noob

Lots of standing around on offense with this starting five

  • cshot

    not with these bigs lol

  • 808JL7

Yeah Lin in. Everyone wake up.

  • Alain Gervais

    Lin get to double figures

  • LinMad

    good pick by Lin

  • cdblue10

Lin is very good in stripping the ball

  • IsabeliJane*17

Lol the scorer thought that long 3 went in… almost changed the score to 74

  • LinMad

    true

  • did he get a steal?

  • cdblue10

Kemba is lost in rotation again

  • Alain Gervais

    Lin got nothing today

  • CaliUSMC

    Lin is 0-8? lol

  • cdblue10

No he prevented a lay up

  • aras

    wow lin…

  • tom

    Lin doesnt have it today
    Thats so sad

  • BeastModeCowboy

damn Lin 0-7 what is up right now

  • BeastModeCowboy

that ankle must be worse than we thought

  • fatbob

don’t worry, he has had worse games. I recall a game where he went 0-10 fg, 0-6 3, total 0 points

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin should have just sat this game.. hes not right

  • wandertheglobe

Lin can’t buy a basket tonight. Ankle definitely effecting his shot.

  • sws94

He’s just missing shots. He’s moving ok. Some nights are like that.

  • Joe what do you know

Lin’s not 100%. His ankle def bothering him. Moves slower and shots not falling

  • tom

Lin’s definitely not finishing the game tonight

  • cdblue10

    He’s not playing well offensively

  • DX

Must say Lin has very poor performance on O today.

  • LinMad

Lin can’t make a shot today, but Kemba keeps passing him it. Cmon on a day Lin can’t make a shot, u force him to shoot it?

  • stam

Yeah he should just sit it out, he’s definitely not himself, i don’t think he’s ever gone 0 for 7 straight.

  • fatbob

    hahah

  • kauaiblue

Don’t count our boy out… he always digs down to get something when he needs it…

  • BeastModeCowboy

youll never see Curry going 0-7

  • CaliUSMC

Yeah well it’s just that my 30 point prediction was a little off..

  • tom

LAst time was when he was on the lakers
    0-10

  • JJ Hui

Zeller is strange, if he has two defenders on him, why he forced the shot? Just pass to others for goodness sake!

  • Alain Gervais

Lin has to look for layups but don’t seem to have the speed to get there

  • blubell

Back to back game in DEN is not easy either.

  • tom

    Stat padding

  • LinMad

It’s not going to be a big game for Lin today, but he may do things that will win the game. Like defense.

  • fatbob

its hard man…his ankle isn’t 100% and denver is high altitude which means thinner air = less oxygen = hard to drive

  • Rick Johnson

Hawes can’t finish at the rim

  • zxcvb

Lin is playing on a bad ankle, 2nd day of a back-to-back. It happens. He’s not starting so it’s not even harmful for him as a CHA starter. Kyrie Irving was 3-15 today. Just get the win.

Jeremy has had 10 straight games of 12+ pts. despite lots of bench games and limited shots. Cut him some slack.

  • cdblue10

That ws from the parking lot by harris

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Denver first team almost played the entire 3rd Q.

  • BeastModeCowboy

If Lin doesnt go 7-7 in the 4th quarter its a lost night

  • LinMad

Just make Lin play D today and play making. Actually I haven’t seen playmaking as much. He needs the ball in his hands to play make but whatever, focus on D since his ankle is not good.

  • John Focker

When one looks at Kemba’s stats, one needs to take into account that this is all he can get AFTER dumping D on Lin and playmaking on Batum. Kemba’s only duty is to “volume shoot” (not counting losing the lead, as it is implied) and he still can’t manage to get more. He’s already peaked, and that ceiling ain’t all that high despite the coddling.

  • tom

    Not a good performance tonight
I’d be surprised if he finished game tonight

  • aras

    this is frustrating to see…

  • JoeTeam

KW trade baskets, Lin 19-2 run, KW trade baskets.

    What’s next?

  • BeastModeCowboy

    doubt it

  • aras

    he looks off

  • cshot

if batums toe is hurting then maybe lol

  • 808JL7

Come on Lin & BF1. Need some baskets to fall for JLin.

  • sws94

Don’t worry about the game tonight. If Lin doesn’t miraculously get hot, it happens. Doesn’t mean a thing. The Hornets know what Lin can do and it’ll just be an off-game.

  • grover chang

finally a winnable game and his shot unfortunately MIA tonight.

  • LinMad

Actually I want to see Lin shoot more. I feel like players are starting to be scared to shoot. Even Kemba. Once Lin makes some big buckets, it could turn the momentum around.

  • kauaiblue

I actually think he is playing ok, just shot not falling… he was running offense beautifully in 2nd qtr.

  • John Focker

Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, chuck, chuck, chuck…ad infinitum.

  • fatbob

im not making excuses, because lins shot has been awful today…BUT denver is 1 mile above sea level, this means the air is thinner and less oxygen. For a player like lin who depends on exploding to the paint, having a bad ankle and less energy is a bad situation.

  • grover chang

Walker sitting. Let’s see if they could make it back.

  • John Focker

    And…the crowd cheers!

  • cdblue10

    advantage foul

  • LinMad

    GOOD D!!

  • blubell

    Almost and 1!

  • cdblue10

    Just a bad game

  • tom

1 for 2 again why Lin whyyy

  • Alain Gervais

    man what a bad game

  • blubell

    Made 1 FT.. Oh well

  • Alain Gervais

    this happens

  • sws94

Not necessarily. Bad shooting game but D is good, facilitating is good, he’s making an impact and isn’t even scoring.

  • Alain Gervais

    just focus on winning todayj

  • LinMad

Lin’s offense is not there today. But his defense is. We’re going to have to accept this for today.

  • cshot

really off shooting night for jeremy. its fine tho. he can keep taking.

  • MorlockO

lol lin 50% FT something is really bothering him

  • cdblue10

True, but shots that he normally makes will not just go in

  • Hope

    Must be Denver air.

  • yes it happens to all players
Good that he can contribute with D

  • ViNuyork

if they want to win this game desperately- they have to bench walker…

  • Maknusia

    trading TOVs now? …lol

  • LinMad

Lin can’t make a shot but they keep trying

  • Maknusia

    Lin still tries!!!

  • blubell

    Lets go Jeremy!

  • LinMad

good D Lin. Do what u can on the other side of the court. That’s a momentum stopper.

  • wtfhornets

    we cannot lose this game!

  • Maknusia

not gonna be easy when DEN is shooting at 55% on 3s

  • Lin’s drawn 3 fouls

  • tom

Lin is shooting so bad tonight
Form is fine just not going in at all

  • LinMad

We can’t. But Lin shooting so much means that other players are refusing to step up. They are afraid to shoot when Lin is missing so much. Seriously, u can’t do any worse than Lin right now so just step up and shoot.

  • aras

he should sit out the rest of the game. we need offense right now and he cant make a basket

  • LinMad

It’s those 3 pointers. I would not take another 3 this game.

  • LinMad

GOOD ball movement, kemba, lin, hawes.

  • John Focker

I normally don’t mind Hornets piling up the Ls, but here’s hoping they win tonight’s game just so that Jeremy’s not made the “boxscore scapegoat”.

  • LinMad

    lol

  • LinMad

no we can’t trade buckets with them. We just need 4 offense and Lin on D.

  • LinMad

    Kobe-like right now.

  • Briiick

KW is -18, look no further.

  • Maknusia

    lol

  • aras

    WHAT THE H*** LIN

  • John Focker

You know that, I know that, but it’s not gonna be how the media spins it.

  • LinMad

why is Lin or any other player so scared to drive in today?

  • MorlockO

wow 0-9 never seen this from lin before.

  • BeastModeCowboy

wow Lin stats about to drop way down

  • Alain Gervais

    last year

  • fatbob

have u tried playing sports on a mountain? its not easy

  • Alain Gervais

    not really

  • JoeTeam

    playing taped up.

  • fatbob

    i have….hes done worse unfrotunately

  • Briiick

    His ankle is bad.

  • BeastModeCowboy

    from 12.4 to 12 43% to 41%

  • Promo Sports World

Sometimes you have one of those games and tonight here it is

  • kauaiblue

    They look tired.

  • cshot

    wooooo another terrible miss 0___0

  • BeastModeCowboy

at least make your free throws but even that 2-4.. geez

  • tom

Exactly Lin just doesnt have it tonight

  • LinMad

I would think that Cliff would have told Lin stop shooting but he didn’t. I seriously thought Lin was still in for defense only.

  • BeastModeCowboy

a Coach never tells a scorer to stop shooting

  • blubell
  • BeastModeCowboy

    Lins out

  • occupatio

his shot is not even going straight. its veering far to side. been ugly as heck heh

  • cshot

did they pull him out yet>

  • Maknusia

    doubt that

  • LinMad

but Lin was never a high volume shooter. I guess he wants to reach his quota today of 10-12 shots.

  • BeastModeCowboy

wow Hornets about to lose to the Nuggets so sad

  • Joe what do you know

Rocky the mascot is having a shooting funk as well…. Lol

  • BeastModeCowboy

well Kemba aint much better at 2-9

  • Lin just didn’t have it today.
It’s okay for Coach Clifford to pull him out.

Some days NBA players just have bad days

  • kauaiblue

No one had it… why only JLin out?

  • fatbob

    agreed

  • CJSHYY

I think Lin didn’t want to play… just don’t get why Cliff had to ask him to do it? It’s good he’s out.

  • LinMad

agree, he wasn’t there on the offense. Fatigue and oxygen level.

  • Briiick

No need to fight with injured ankle and KW.

  • fatbob

they should have pulled out kemba also

  • aras

Lin was taken out rightfully so

  • IsabeliJane*17

I don’t mind that Jeremy’s offense wasn’t there tonight. He had several games before this that he’s offensively good, even on a bad ankle.Winning takes TEAM EFFORT, so Hornets losing streak is not just about Jeremy. Plus he might still be playing with a bad ankle from Clippers game last night.

  • JT

awful game even for an average player

  • BeastModeCowboy

7 straight losses for the Hornets.. this is just sad

  • Alain Gervais

    this is a loss

  • LinMad

They keep calling Lamb, Jeremy Lin.

  • Briiick

Agreed. JL is just too nice to reject fighting for Cliff’s job.

  • Maknusia

oh my…even layups are not going in….not Hornets Day! i guess

  • It’s also to protect JLin, I think

It’ll be bad if Lin had worse than 0-9 (1-13 or 2-15) & got blamed

  • LinMad

I think that was a norm last season so they are conditioned for this.

  • BeastModeCowboy

it hasnt been the Hornets month frankly

  • kauaiblue

ok, I’ll accept that… but weve seen this before… just sayin…

  • LinMad

Maybe the ball moves differently with that type of oxygen level.

  • DX

    0-9 no excuse.

  • Maknusia

    Hornet’s year? lol

  • CJSHYY

Batum will stay w his big contract but not Lin… so why risk his body for loss game anyway.

  • Alain Gervais

coach has to change something to save this sinking ship. this looks like a loss. if it is he can keep doing the same thing.

  • BeastModeCowboy

    so far

  • It’s good that Clifford trusted Lin long enough to see if he got hot in the 4th quarter.

  • Hope

    He stands out.

  • John Focker

Not a good excuse, others are making their shots.

  • tom

This team is so bad lol

  • BeastModeCowboy

they are playing in high altitude

  • golfhacker

An anomaly. Some nights you just don’t have it.

  • LinMad

the excuse is his ankle, Denver’s climate, and back 2 back and coach not setting up easier plays for Lin. Lin took a lot of 3s today. More than usual. Why?

  • Alain Gervais

    kemba is a -21

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin had wide open shots.. he should have made them he normally does

  • CJSHYY

He will not get hot today. Just let him rest for future games. smh!

  • tom

Can’t really use those as excuses
He shot bad tonight thats that
    No way around it

  • Briiick

    Oh..My…

  • LinMad

ya but he’s obviously forcing it when he’s taking like 80% of his shots from the 3 pt line.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Not only did Lin play bad.. so did Kemba and Batum only took 3 shots.. when your 3 best players are struggling youre not going to win any games

  • I’d start to be more concerned if JLin played very well then got pulled like the LAL vs BOS game in Game 20 last season (1 game before he got sent to the bench)

This is still normal, I think

  • fatbob

    its a good excuse actually

  • IsabeliJane*17

Steph Curry bandwagon is still accepting members. You’re welcome.

  • LinMad

Lamb is the only one showed up today

  • aras

Wow every last one of these players should be ashamed of them selves you make millions yet you cant even give an effort to win against the nuggets? Lin was just lost out there today

  • John Focker

Before Jeremy signed with the Hornets I wished Denver would’ve hired MDA and Lin would reunite with him. Part of the reason was the high-altitude conditioning. Once Jeremy’s body got used to playing in Denver, it would give Jeremy the extra oomph when playing outside Denver. Oh well, it was a good pipe dream.

  • CJSHYY

Hornets O & D are both bad now so they will not win. I don’t know why Kemba didn’t play well bc he’s OK?!

  • LinMad

ya he would run up and down the court in Denver making every team gassed early

  • rookie75094

Jlin had a bad game… enough said.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Lin averages will drop to 12.1 pts/gm 42 % and 32% from 3 just when we were making progress

  • LinMad

    nice!

  • BeastModeCowboy

oh damn 1 possession game.. whattt

  • CJSHYY

No big deal. This happened all the time in NBA.

  • LinMad

please win this so Lin can go home without the blame.

  • tom

    Very frustrating

  • It’s funny that the Hornets misses were all long.

    Lamb, Kemba, Lin ..
It’s a sign of tired legs, maybe lack of oxygen so the arms compensated too strong

  • rookie75094

    Come on ot!!!

  • Maknusia

MW with a huge 3pts….3 pt game now!

  • Alain Gervais

    it happens

  • Alain Gervais

    its ok

  • tom

He had a bad shooting game, did he not?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The will of the Hornets is amazing. They fought back within 3. My heart goes to the whole team.

  • BeastModeCowboy

no its not.. we need Lin to avg at least 14 pts before end of season

  • tom

    It’s not gonna a big difference 12 and 14

  • IsabeliJane*17

That’s why you can join the Stephen Curry bandwagon if all you care about is shooting.

  • DanCohen

yes, that’s true..it’s just that simple. But some people here keep making excuses for him.. I’m sure him as a pro will not make these excuses.. excuses make you (not you but in general) like a weasel.. and never looks good for a pro when they say that.. (like White and others)

  • LinMad

why didn’t they time out earlier? The high altitude is getting to their heads.

  • fatbob

denver is located more than 1 mile above sea level, or 1.6km. Terrible scheduling by nba to have back to back with the second game in such a location

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Clifford’s timeout play has never worked. The Nuggets will just foul and give up a 2 point shot.

  • BeastModeCowboy

uhhh yes it is… you dont think its a big difference but NBA gms and coaches know its a big difference when youre playing 82 games

  • tom

It’s just one aspect of the game
He had a bad shooting night
If you are a fan, you can say that.
There’s nothing wrong with it, I don’t why you are so salty

  • yes, a high-altitude schedule loss

  • golfhacker

Kemba ISO – that’s the play.

  • LinMad

    Bet you Kemba will shoot

  • John Focker

Imagine if Lin made a 3 to tie the game and then win in OT!

  • Briiick

I recall during Lin’s first season with Rox, they had a 7-game losing
streak after Harden stopped letting Lin facilitate and ended a series of
blowout wins. McHale in the end had to ask his players to watch the
tape of their blowout wins and let Lin facilitate again.

  • BeastModeCowboy

    two terrible shots wow

  • Alain Gervais

thats was so unorganized wth was that .

  • IsabeliJane*17

Uhh, the guy played with a hurt ankle from yesterday’s game. You’ve been hammering all about shooting, shooting, and shooting, that’s why Stephen Curry’s bandwagon is more suitable for you than here.

  • golfhacker

    7 losses in a row – ouch.

  • DanCohen

that might be the reasons.. and his tingling ankle (but he did seem to move quite well to a point I don’t even remember he has his ankle injure).
those can be reasons, but can not be excuses for lin and I”m sure he wont want it say it.
But then again, it can be just a bad night which happens.

His shots is like WAY OFF by a mile..have you notice that.. something is wrong .. it’s not even near the swtich or close to the basket.. he is like trying to bank them in if that is what he is doing.

  • BeastModeCowboy

man we can only hope a miracle happens.. lost 7 in a row

  • BeastModeCowboy

    its 7 not 8

  • yes, big OUCH :[

  • tom

He’s coming off the bench as a 6th man
    12-14 is pretty good
but if he can get to 15 its a huge difference

  • DanCohen

    can’t blame a 2 mil dollar player..

  • JoeTeam

IJ, pls don’t insult Steph Curry in correcting Tom. Steph is a rock star.

  • BeastModeCowboy

    14 is closer to 15 than 12….

  • IsabeliJane*17

The issue is a lot of the losses were winnable games.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

That’s a waste of more than 5 secs.

  • tom

Because thats the only thing he didnt do well tonight
He played good defence made some good passes but shooting wasnt there
Why is it wrong to call it out?

  • BobbyH

This team is tired. The only way to get out of this, as Lin said, is it WILL it out. Next Wednesday comes ALT. WILL IT.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Sorry. I’ll use Harden instead.

  • tom

    Yep, 12-14 is solid
    15 is good

  • LinMad

In this stretch of losses, we lost to 2 teams that were beatable. Sub .500 teams.

  • travis

even though jeremy was playing bad, he absolutely shouldve been closing. 24 min game after he drops 26? smh

  • tom

Whats there to correct? Did he have a good shooting game?

  • sport

Judging from all the negative comments and box score I guess I was right to not watch this game. It’s always a trend, Lin has great 20/30+ pt game, next game marginalized. This game his ankle is still injured, Batum’s back, and he’s benched again.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Oh yeah, I forgot. You’re a fan of offensive chuckers. Jeremy isn’t one

  • Maknusia

Good…they needed the break to recuperate

  • LinMad

nah his ankle might be hurting and Denver is a hard place to play for any team.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

At least the have fought it to a close game; closer but still lost it.
The star players need to give up the ball for better shots.

  • sws94

He wasn’t marginalized. He couldn’t hit a shot.

  • aras

he litteraly could not hit the rim. he was not marginalized

  • tom

How does this have anything to do with Lin having a bad shooting night?
Now you are just insulting me, very mature

  • travis

2nd quarter he shouldve been left in there while they were on a run

  • sws94

He didn’t make a shot. If Lin had his usual decent shooting he closes. Cliff is trying to win a game, so he rests a guy who just had a strangely cold shooting night.

  • LinMad

I wouldn’t blame it on marginalized. He just missed 9 shots. But he wasn’t the only person that did bad. Hawes was horrible under the rim. KW was in a shooting slump too.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin should have taken more rest in this game and let Lamb play. This is a back to back game right after a 40 minutes game in high altitude. The coach should make a better decision.

  • CJSHYY

No, he should not play this game bc his ankle is not OK. NO big deal he had bad game. Just move on.

  • John Focker

Yes, he had a bad shooting night. No way around it. It happens to the very best of them.

Last year Curry had 0-7 once, 1-10 twice (one vs. Kemba’s Hornets, no less), 2-10 twice, 2-11 once, and 3-10 once.

So let’s not rush to crucify Jeremy on this b2b in Denver on a re-rolled ankle after playing 41 min last night.

  • Alain Gervais

even with lin playing bad we should have won. Cliff have to change something. starters put us in a whole every time. He has to do something

  • BeastModeCowboy

HOLY 17-20 hornets.. no way this team makes the playoffs playing like this

changes need to be made immediately or this will be a lost season and

Lin will lose value in the free agent market if the Hornets dont make the playoffs simple as that

  • IsabeliJane*17

All you say is excuses don’t matter with his bad shooting night. Yeah sure…

  • sws94

I don’t know. Not that big a deal. Saving him for the 2nd half in the thin air, back to back, 40 minutes, turned his ankle, made sense. He just had no shooting touch tonight.

  • tom

So Lamb 15 points on 14 shots Thats not efficient at all
I dont think he played well either

  • Rick Johnson

Looked like in second half Kemba was feeding him trying to get him going but Lin shot just out of it tonight. Fatigue on back to back, altitude, sore ankle.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Im getting real sick of losing.. its making me have sleepless nights

  • DanCohen

not 100% true.. I used to think that and it’s more often then not….but he did have a few good b2b games.

but this game..he didn’t do well… anyone saying that he did well is delusional. a few of his 9 shots are like A MILE away from the rim… that is definitely something affecting him.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Clifford should rest Lin this game.

  • BeastModeCowboy

he was the best Hornets player tonight….

  • LinMad

I don’t think Lin will lose value. What does he got to lose? 2.4M will only go up. Also many teams are looking for PG like Lin.

  • travis

    kemba 3/12 plays 37 min

  • tom

Not crucifying him I know he is an efficient scorer
    He will bounce back
At least he felt comfortable enough to take those shots

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Clifford should play guys with more energy left for this game.

  • LinMad

Even though Hornets keep losing, it’s still a better record than what Lin had to go through last season with the Lakers.

  • BeastModeCowboy

not good enough.. we need higher expectations for Lin

  • blubell
  • Rick Johnson

Next game Wednesday at Charlotte so should have some time to rest and recover.

  • grover chang

As the great bill parcels said, “you are what your record says you are.” This team sucks. Jeremy is good but played bad tonight.

  • NONONO

Hornets could have won this game, if Lin made some shots. Hornets could have lost more if Lin did not play. See the bright side of it – Lin is healthy than we thought, Batum is back, Lamb is picking up. If one win could be a big deal, Clifford or FO needs to make big changes on coaching issues.

  • DanCohen

    batum too

  • blubell
  • BeastModeCowboy

How are the Hornets 17-20… we were the 2nd seed about 10 games ago .. so sickening

  • tom

Yah, it’s just a bad shooting night. Happens to everyone even Curry, MJ and Bird.
just didnt have it tonight he has it most the nights anyways No need to make excuses for tn just an outlier

  • sws94

I’m not sure what was wrong. He ran fast, especially on defensive close outs and looked pretty strong on his feet. He just couldn’t really shoot at all. Batum didn’t really shoot well either. I don’t know, all this losing is terrible.

  • DanCohen

Well… at least batum was feeding him the ball once in a while instead of completely freezing him out even if lin didn’t get 1 shot in.
But if he ever continues like this in 2 consecutive games, things might change.
So he better get out of this funk fast.

  • tom

    Thats sad
I know he is but when your best performer of the night is 6-14 with 15 points
Your team is not gonna win, which they didnt

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Uh huh, sure.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Hawes and Hairston should get more minutes in this game; even Brian Roberts or Troy Daniels or Tyler Hansbrough. Clifford is running out of his wit.

  • BeastModeCowboy

    Next 5 hornets games:

    vs Atlanta

    @ New Orleans

    vs Milwaukee

    vs Utah

    @ OKC

how many games do you guys think Hornets will win… Im predicting they go 2-3

  • blubell
  • grover chang

Then cliff tore apart BF1. For what? But FO will not see that. They will see Al Jefferson was out during the losing streak. They will forgo this experiment of space and pace and double down on Alfense.

  • LinMad

    good no retweets.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Hornets absolutely need to win at home next game.. they started 0-3 and now theyre 17-20

    time to make a run

  • blubell
  • BeastModeCowboy

Cliff didnt tear them apart.. he had no choice but to start Lin because of injuries…

  • LinMad

hes’ gonna tweet about KW’s -25 or whatever it was

  • grover chang

I highly doubt if healthy Lin goes 0-9 again. Some of his best games came after stinking up a back to back. He has looked horrible in back to backs before.

  • LinMad

most of our players shots were off too which means they were fatigued and the altitude was getting to them. I saw a lot more 3s being shot than usual which means they did not want to run a whole lot. Maybe Cliff practiced them too hard.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I challenge Clifford’s decision on the court. He’s has almost nothing to show in games like this. Why didn’t he play guys who are fresh. Denver is not a good team. Let Tyler, Hawes, Daniels, Roberts, or even Harrison play. They have more energy left for this game.

  • BeastModeCowboy

Kemba has fallen back to Earth last 3 games.. shooting 16-52 from the field.. geezzzz

  • tom

    Bad shot selections

  • grover chang

Before batum was injured he stopped leaving Lin out there as a pg all by himself. He still has not let Lin be the only pg. Either Tatum or walker or even Roberts is always playing pg. It’s crazy Lin is the best point they have!!!! And he never plays point after getting a winning record.

  • tom

0-5 if they continue to let this go on

  • Acbc

IMO, when the ball sails long, it’s because of the thin air relative to the weight of the ball. Golf pros know to compensate for mile high air by taking less club. Going from sea level to mile high next day is a schedule loss. You’d need at least a day to adjust if you’re not used to it.

  • John Focker

Second game of a b2b in high-altitude, on a rerolled ankle after 41 min of play last night. 0-9 is horrendous, but bear in mind that Walker and Lamb also missed 8 shots each.

  • Briiick

Cliff tried benching KW in the 4th quarter and winning the game early this season, but has never been bold enough to try it again even in a losing streak. Why ? I can only speculate that if he ever tries it again he will lose his job sooner.

  • DanCohen

zamm.. I thought the highlights for his bad game were short.. wonder what the highlights will be in this game as I don’t think he even had a 0-9 night (the one in miami during sanity era was 1-11) and how short is it.

  • Alain Gervais

    5 second

  • I am The Jason

I wish Lin did not have this offensive stink before the Hawks game. Putting up with Dominique’s commentary will be unbearable.

  • Briiick

He is a “player’s coach” like McHale, lacks an offensive system.

  • Sophie Paris

    Yea or no playoffs.

  • Sophie Paris

    It’s terribly bad omg. ^^’

  • kauaiblue

    Hawes was terrible!

  • Briiick

I have the same thought. Even McHale was more brave to use Lin as The PG to pull him out of a losing streak.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

2 days rest and long season.

  • John Focker

I think Clifford was burned for that one time.

  • KHuang

Nobody cares what Dominique Wilkins says.

He’s not taken seriously by anybody in his post playing career.

  • Sophie Paris

Haha same I missed the game while I never miss one. Hope Jlin’s ankle is fine.

  • sws94

Better he have it tonight than playing the Hawks. Hopefully, he’ll light the Hawks up and have his shooting touch. He did look healthier on his feet tonight. But he’s not 100 percent at all.

  • KHuang

Hopefully Lin will learn from this game that he’s better off resting his injuries especially after a brutal ref cheating game against the Clippers where Lin was bloodied and ankle sprained.

  • sws94

It would still be nice for Lin to light up the Hawks while he babbles on.

  • Sophie Paris

Bad coaching hurts this team so much.

  • sws94

Lin played pretty well in other aspects of the game rather than shooting.

  • blubell
  • tom

    Yes!! Thank you!
Although he seems to have been a great player but irrelevant

  • tom

Clifford won one game with Kemba on the bench.
After than game, Kemba has been playing 35+mins every night closing out every game even every quarters lol now that I think about it

  • fatbob

no highlights tonight lol, better to skip it

  • steven ko

so last two games, Jeremy goes 9/25 and Kemba is 7/28

  • new thread
    G37 CHA @DEN Notes & Observations

    http://www.jlinportal.com/g37-cha-den-notes-observations/

    – The Hornets lost the 7th game in a row to Denver Nuggets 92-95

    – Jeremy Lin struggled in the second night of a back-to-back game in a high-altitude Denver. He finished with 2pts/2asts/1reb/1blk (0-9 shooting, 2-4 FTs). His defensive effort helped the Hornets to make a run. He finished with 0 in +/-.

    – A rolled ankle the previous day made him looked physically off tonight. https://twitter.com/HPbasketball/status/686381955668021248

    – Kemba finished with 11pts on 3-12 shooting and Batum played quite well in his 1st game back from injury, 9pts/7ast/6reb. Fatigue and high-altitude affected the Hornets as many of their shots missed long (hitting the back-end of the rim) due to tired legs

    – Let’s hope 2 days rest will help JLin’s ankle to heal and regain his shooting touch.

  • JoeTeam

repeat, Jlin PG 19-2 run. rolled ankle really tender on 2nd day, everyone here who’s rolled one knows. KW after that run? 11-12 cha v Den.

Yep, 0/9 a bad night, but he played v well defensively and when he probably wasn’t tired or hurting, as PG. 2nd shift at PG too tired, etc.

hawes seller missed soooooo many by being soft.

  • JoeTeam

lol parallelism in literature. you’re the yoda !

  • JoeTeam

no tom roll you’re ankle, wait a day, get a pro tape v tight, then try to ply. but get a block and a few stops first. bet you’re handles will be shakey now take a shot.

kt sat 3 games. barnes about a month.

  • JoeTeam

    see above.

  • JoeTeam

    hugs!

  • JoeTeam

    2 blocks?

  • JoeTeam

    open looks

  • thanks for sharing the knowledge. That makes sense
So next time fewer 3s and more layups is a better approach.

  • JoeTeam

v short, the overcompensated back iron and then glass.

  • JoeTeam

to run is easier than to jump. if it hurts, will that affect the concentration and muscle memory?

  • JoeTeam

talk about your athletes on 2nd day of ankle re-roll. also, effect of pain on muscle memory movements … i’d be interested.

  • JoeTeam

cody abd hawes needed to feast those easy KFC buckets.

  • JoeTeam

    not at 19-2

  • rookie75094

I will not wish kkklutchfans on my worst enemy…hehe

  • tom

    even worse

  • tom

    he didnt thats it

  • tom

I cant even walk when i roll my ankle so I wouldnt know
but everyone has bad shooting games and Lin just had one

  • JoeTeam

objectively speaking, it was a nasty shooting day for him. Not just the misses, but by how much and how varied like he was hunting and pecking to try to get his shot up. Then there were a few chances inside where he chose not to take contact but kick it to the 3. Once that worked, but more that i noted, it failed where I wanted him to have gone for the contact. But, shooting 50% FTs, I felt he knew the chance for the whistle and the chance for the FT was not on last night. Hard to watch, but I saw him trying through reason to solve it for himself.

  • JoeTeam

the facts are true, he was not able to score from the game flow. He could not even score at par at the FT line.
