G35 CHA @PHX Game Thread

With Batum officially out, JLin is expected to start again.

  • JLin status is PROBABLE & Lamb status is QUESTIONABLE
  • Will JLin’s injured ankle cause him to slip a few times like in the GSW game again? Will it get better and allow JLin to drive and make cuts?
  • The Suns has 9-game losing streak while the Hornets has 4-game losing streak. This will be a great Win to get the Hornets back on winning track.

Let’s hope and pray that Jeremy Lin’s health will improve quickly. After the game, I plan to present the symbolic $4500 fundraising check to JLin Foundation to Jeremy to let him know many faithful fans are supporting him

  • blubell

    1st!
    Have fun @psalm234:disqus!

  • DX

2nd, Batum out again. Hope Lin can do great! But with the ankle, must be careful.

  • NONONO

    3>2>1.

  • NONONO

    Batum plays tonight?

  • blubell

    See above… Batum OUT

  • NONONO

Thanks. Lamb questionable? Wow, he only had few good games since …. long time ago.

  • Spot

OK, now we should hope Kemba will sit out too?

  • thanks.. pray that JLin will have a great game to taste 1st victory in Phoenix.
I suspect he doesn’t like Phoenix very much since he has never won here lol

  • Acbc

Not fair, BB8 using machine code to speed through us slooooow humans! Lol

  • blubell

Never? Even when he was with the Rockets (2nd year)? Should I blame you for this? LOL

  • Spot

That’s why he keeps giving Jeremy money!

  • blubell

    @psalm234:disqus exposed!

  • NONONO

The following comment should tell you what many Hornets fans expect from Kemba.

Re: GT: Hornets vs Suns Wed Jan 6 9PM EST
    Post#41 » by JDR720 (Realgm Mod) » 7 minutes ago
This game is going to be a knight vs kemba chuck fest. first one to 25shots wins”

  • blubell

I like fests. Chucking fest is not one of them.

  • sws94

Hmmm. Listening to Cliff’s shootaround comments and he didn’t really say anything that interesting yet. Just regular stuff about defense needing to get better. However, a reporter mentioned to him that he talked to Marvin Williams and asked him how to handle injuries and Marv’s response was you don’t play hero. Marv said everyone has to contribute a little more. Indirect comment about Kemba? Not sure but Marv should talk to Kemba about that for sure.

  • maybe I should stop attending these games in person lol

it was very awkward to yell and scream to cheer Jeremy among Suns fans but I still did it :]

  • sws94

Sorry, that’s the practice comments, not shootaround, and they are from yesterday.

  • Spot

Try to avoid Suns’ ultras (tiger fans) :O

  • 1mtoldman

yes another psalm scandal exposed smh.

  • blubell

Maybe the problem is you’re not yelling and screaming hard enough and Jeremy can’t hear you 😛

  • Linzen
  • CJSHYY

    Sure hope so….

  • 1mtoldman

hmm historically knight not a volume shooter so i checked it out and yep this yer his fga per game are way up.

actually walker’s fga’s are remarkably consistent (and not that many). its just that this year his shooting % is good for the first time ever so his scoring is up accordingly.

its not the volume of shots per game that kemba takes that is the problem its his volume of time holding onto the ball that is the problem (see notes from last game where 50% of the time the hornets had the ball kemba had the ball).

    my ball my ball.

  • Linzen

    Have fun tonight, Psalm!
BTW, expecting a 5000 words game report. :))))

  • sws94

I don’t agree with Cliff that the offense looks good. I think the offense looks good when Kemba isn’t on the floor. The ball has to move more. When Marv says no one person should be hero that was about the offense, not the defense. I think Marv understands the issues more than Cliff does. Some games are going to be more high-scoring than others so you need to get good looks and have everyone involved. Defensively, they aren’t good now but they are just an OK defensive team anyway.

  • Linzen

Hope Jeremy will get his shooting back… he really hasn’t been shooting well last couple of games. Must be the injury.

On the other hand, KW will keep shooting no matter what… 🙁

  • rookie75094

Maybe just a few games…I want to see Jlin play pg for a few games…hehe

  • Rick Johnson

Even Roberts and the 2nd unit without Kemba looked better than the starters with Kemba.

  • DX

Agreed, look what Curry did, it’s opposite with Kemba. Even Curry has much better shooting skills.

  • good to hear, coming from you, since you’ve been one of Cliff’s biggest defenders, I think.

  • NONONO

Did Marv said that? can you show the link? I noticed Marv usually passes ball to Lin instead of Kemba.

  • CJSHYY

Lin probably said about today…past few games his ankle is not as good as now?!

  • Rick Johnson

    Spencer Percy‏@QCHspencer

“For sure. No question I’m going to play this season. I’m going to play. It’s a matter of when now.” -MKG to the Charlotte Observer today.

    https://twitter.com/QCHspencer/status/684827667183591427

  • CJSHYY

    Well, that’s good news.

  • Rick Johnson

Something has effected his shooting before he hurt his ankle for like the whole regular season. He was shooting much better in the pre-season and I don’t think it’s just because the intensity of the game has increased in the regular season. He’s missing wide open shots and his free throw shooting had been really bad.

  • heart

Good news… But P. Hairston will be sent to the 2nd unit, then chemistry issue and rotations have to be adjusted again…

  • sws94

The reporter is telling Cliff Marv said that to him in an interview. Cliff’s 1/5 practice interview.

    http://www.nba.com/hornets/video/archive

  • sws94

I’m not sure. It may mean Lin is no longer in closing line-up.

  • CJSHYY

    Lin will. Just no MV.

  • CJSHYY

PJ already did it before so it should be OK.

  • Briiick

as long as he plays a smaller role in offense.

  • takemeback2reaganyears
  • CJSHYY

Ya! Plus Hornets doesn’t get lots of attention from national media so….

  • Arsenium12 .

Just a small note … Jeremy has won at least one game in Phoenix.

    Feb. 23, 2014, Rockets beat the Suns 115 – 112.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201402230PHO.html

  • TTNN

whatever could push them into playoff is good news. 🙂

  • TTNN

they will play Kaminsky in place of MV.

  • sws94

That can happen as well. In that case, it’s good for Lin.

  • TTNN

I’m wondering whether he had some finger or wrist injury.

When I was in GSW game, I feel that his shooting was not consistent, mainly the arc of the shot, some shot would have a sudden change from previous ones. Also he shoot less than he used to warm up…..

  • Thanks for checking! I feel better now 🙂
It felt like there were at least 3 losses.

    Let’s go, JLin!

  • TTNN

yes, a lot of people did not realize the difference, and don’t understand why people complain kemba who has improved his shooting.

  • JC

Expending too much effort on defenitis..is what it’s called. He never had to do that in the past

  • 1mtoldman

you can’t put anything past the lin-cyclopedia (arsenium12).

  • 1mtoldman

umm usually dont disagree with this source but theres no statistical factual eveidence to back that up.

his ft shooting is 78% hardly “really bad” and consistent with his first year in houston.

his field goal shooting % for the year is consistent with almost exactly the same as his % in l.a. last year.

more importantly in his last 11 games when he has been given significant minutes in consecutive games for the first time all season (ie. had a chance to “get in rhythm” on his shooting) his % is consistent with ny/houston years ie. in the 44% or higher range.

  • blubell

Still blaming you for the other losses. LOL. So he did win during his second year with the Rox 😛

  • 1mtoldman

i think u already thot that b4. now been confirmed by the “lin-cyplopedia”.

  • blubell

    @arsenium12:disqus to the rescue! 🙂

  • sws94

Cliff: Lamb is going to try to play his regular minutes. They’ll see how he looks. Nic not ready to play tonight, hopefully he can play by Saturday. Said they don’t want him back to where he plays a few games and misses a few games. Talked of MKG but they are going to be careful about saying when he’ll be back. Nothing on Lin.

  • 1mtoldman

hornacek (embattled phnx coach) took the team bowling the other day to try to create a more relaxed atmosphere and camaraderie within a downward spiral. i think this is the first game they’ve played since.

  • JoeTeam

  • sws94

MW sounds like a coach. He says they have to come out with a great start on both ends of the floor. That’s the problem, they often don’t.

  • tom

    MJ said this about Lin?

  • 1mtoldman

psalm was referencing only games in phnx as he (psalm) is in phnx.

(and will present the big check to lin tonite i guess…if he doesnt LOSE it again!)

  • CJSHYY

No, it’s the reporter. Michael Dunlap who did the one on one interview w Lin today.

  • Arsenium12 .

Thanks very much, Psalm. And thanks to others for their comments, too.

  • occupatio

most players just repeat what their coaches say. in this case, MW is indeed just repeating cliff’s words.
    kemba often does as well.

  • sws94

I haven’t heard Clifford say that. He mostly talks of defense and stuff like that. Getting off to a great start sounds like it is coming from Marv.

  • occupatio

cliff has said that exact thing before. the important of starting out well.

  • maybe that’s a reason he likes Lin so much. he can see that lin’s style of play would greatly benefit the team.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

@psalm234:disqus Enjoy your game tonight and meet up with Jeremy Only Lin Garden site coordinator, mods and fans. Please record every word what JLin says when you meet him up after game:-) Believe it’s a “win” since the presence of so many of his supporters:-) Also expect mega report from you:-)

  • JoeTeam

@psalm234, for sure get some insider info on how we as fans need to look at the next half of season, because it does help everyone focus when it comes from the player.

  • Rick Johnson

Ask him about his back and Master Lo. What’s going on with that.

  • 1mtoldman

dont be intimidated by the “tiger” psalm fans below putting unrealistic expectations on you.

just dont lose the check again. (how can you lose anything that big anyway?)

btw how’d you get that thru security ?

  • rookie75094

    Psalm no pressure…… just don’t mess up…hehe

  • blubell

Busy night for our psalm 🙂

  • It looks like Carmelo’s learned and is trusting his teammates more, allowing younger players like Porzingis to develop. This is unlike Kobe.

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

Psalm234, please tell Jeremy that my family and i almost ran into him and his family two winters ago when they were at Connecticut College to watch his brother play basketball. That’s the family vacation when Jeremy was into Frozen. That might refresh his memory.

  • blubell
  • occupatio

    terrible writing.

a player cannot both be ‘probable’ and “will play.” who writes this garbage.

  • blubell

I don’t… I just report this garbage. lol.

  • CJSHYY

Cliff wants to get the W so badly now Lamb has to play no matter what…..

  • occupatio

    probable. you will report.

  • blubell

They have 140 character limit. What’s your excuse?

  • occupatio

if lin plays, then there’s no need to write ‘probable.’
theres no excuse for extraneous words.

    my excuse is
    questionable, will play.

  • blubell
  • blubell

I think they meant Lin who was probable will play tonight.

  • occupatio

i think the message is meant to say Lin, whose status was formerly listed as probable, will in fact play.

deleting the fluff would be clearer.

  • 1mtoldman

the opposite of team ball: cleveland tonite plays 14 minutes scores 26 points without an assist.

  • orLinaryjoe

Lol, I’m sure Psalm has a long list. : )

  • blubell

  • Linzen

    Head of snake vs. JLin?

  • Jlin only came out to sign some signatures & went back inside to practice shooting inside.

  • 1mtoldman

weird beyond immediate comment but i would imagine idea is to get booker the shooter coming off the bench to provide some bench scoring.

  • 1mtoldman

they wouldn’t waste lin’s defense on ronnie. kemba for him.

  • blubell

Are you there with your whole family or just the kids?

  • sport

With the minutes he plays injuries will rack up sooner or later. Many players are already injured.

  • Linzen

You’re probably right… I was hoping JLin can drop 30 on the head.

  • He did see the giant check and said he appreciated. Told him not worry about signing the check or card, i can give it later during Q&A

Only got pic from the back, no hairgel yet

Also signed my friend’s pic with his late mom & Jlin from last season

  • sport

As injuries starts to rack up I hope there will be a perfect storm for Lin to lead as starting PG for the Hornets!

  • Only me for now, rest of fam will come later after all homework is done ?

  • blubell

Haha. Say hi to the family for me 🙂

  • Will record video, met nice dedicated JLin garden fans ?

  • blubell

As long as he doesn’t throw his shoe at Jeremy, I don’t really care. lol.

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Wonderful! So glad two great JLin fansite coordinators are able to meet each other finally. Hopefully you know whom I’m talking about:-)

  • Frank and Hairston are practicing 3s now. Hairston might’ve made more ?

  • blubell
  • sws94

Only if injury to Kemba. That’s the only way.

  • Coach Clifford met friends

  • Briiick

If Cliff still doesn’t give Lin the ball handling and sets of Batum of whom Lin is in place, then he is not better than McHale.

  • 1mtoldman

walker will play price knight would kill walker; lin will play knight (unless hairston plays knight and lin plays tucker). but defeintely walker on the scoreless price.

  • Looks like it’s Asian Appreciation Night ?
Well second one is a dance group

  • blubell
  • Del Curry has some kind of cheatsheet ?

  • blubell

You’re suppose to be stalking Jeremy not Del Curry!

  • Lin is inside practicing so I moonlight to blackmail Del Curry ?

  • Fevers End

Ask him to help Jeremy with his shooting. =]

  • spiderman

    Uh-oh
    Watch out for the shoe-throw!

  • blubell

Its gelled. He has slicked back hair. The pic is out of focus to see it.

    Suns commentators: Ronnie Price starts?

you caught him red handed!!!!! time to viral it?!!!! lol

  • spiderman

Kemba says “oink oink” in huddle

  • blubell

    That’s pretty much everyone’s reaction.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I guess Sun thinks he knows more about Lin….?

  • spiderman

Lin knows more about him too

  • 1mtoldman

i think they’re just trying to get some offense off the bench by moving the shooter booker there. also when yer as bad as the suns have been lately you got to try something.

  • blubell

More like they don’t have a choice but to start him due to injury.

  • CJSHYY

Maybe but last game he didn’t start…. vs Lakers.

  • Maknusia

    hmm…so chip on his shoulder

  • 1mtoldman

apparently ronnie is now known as “mr hustle”.

a lot of nicknames for a journeyman never done much of anything in the nba.

  • CJSHYY

I think he will use his hustle D on Lin like he did to JC. That’s why he starts today.

  • golfhacker

Looks like a pack of cigarettes!

  • LinMad

  • LinMad

    Bigs defense is killing us.

  • stam

    Defense is terrible….

  • Fevers End

The Suns scored 22 in the first half against the Lakers, right?…

  • 1mtoldman

    correct.

  • Epie

Looks like Lin is guarding 2 players

  • LinMad

    Lin barking orders

  • zxcvb

Ball movement is so much better today.

The defense remains a problem. Zeller is awful and lazy and lets guys score at will. Kemba doesn’t get out on anyone. Only Lin and PJ are hustling and Lin picked up a good foul to stop the alley-oop (Cody fell asleep).

  • sport

Lin finally playing smart and not trying to over help too much at the rim by trying to block shots. Looking good out there and not iced out by Walker as much. 🙂

  • Maknusia

comeon guys…need to make those 3sss

  • stam

    Much better defense finally.

  • LinMad

    Nice Kemba/Lin connection

  • Maknusia

    finally the 3!

  • sport

But Lin has to be careful can’t rack up too many fouls cause he’s starting and will need those minutes!

  • 1mtoldman

why they have kemba trying to guard knight i dont know.

  • zxcvb

Exactly. In fact, he allowed a jumper to Price because he knew he couldn’t risk a touch foul.

  • stam

Wish lin can get more PG action.

  • zxcvb

Lin’s potential foul trouble, I think. Refs will call any contact (real or imagined) and Lin will have 2 fouls.

    Suns commentators said “Linsanity returns!”

LOLOL Linsanity returns is what I’ve heard before the break:-)

  • LinMad

    lol

  • sws94

Lin’s not right on his feet but is playing better tonight.

  • stam

Looks like cliff’s defensive talk helped a lot.

  • 1mtoldman

hmm all i heard them say was “lin’s hair style working well”.

  • sport

Never left just hidden on the bench due to bias agenda!

  • sws94

    Cool.

  • heart

Suns commentators seem very complimentary of Lin.

  • sport

Glad it isn’t just “talk” a la Mchale, “we need to defend better”.

  • zxcvb

Everything on offense gets fixed when guys SHARE the ball. Lin is the difference-maker and Kemba is finally following his lead (mostly). When they play Lin Ball, Kemba actually scores MORE.

Just gotta up the defensive energy from Zeller and Kemba. Still too lazy.

  • 1mtoldman

    suns commentators are very professional.

  • occupatio

do u purposely watch the opposing team’s announcers?

  • IsabeliJane*17

Jeremy Lin and his hair are slowly becoming separate entities… each with his own fandom…

    22222222222

  • Briiick

Lin got some ball handling unlike last game. Cliff only allows this when he is cornered.

  • 1mtoldman

phnx announcers have talked more about lin in one game than hornets annoucners do it several

  • LAJane

Lin: right back at ‘cha. 22222

  • zxcvb

Lin allowed to play with 2 fouls, teammates need to step up their D.

  • Maknusia

    Must be….

  • IsabeliJane*17

Yeah. you might even think Jeremy is playing for the Suns with the amount of talking they did.

  • sport

Not enough gel for Lin, hair falling down and distracting his concentration.

  • zxcvb

Bad TO there, but whatever. Great 1Q!

Lin Ball fixed the offense. But with 2 fouls, the defense is in big trouble. No one else on this team can defend.

  • LinMad

Ronnie poked it out of Lin’s hands. I think Lamb should have shot it. Lin looked tired.

  • heart

He should tie it back in pony tail.

  • zxcvb

    HEAD OF THE SNAKE.

  • golfhacker

Maybe they know MDA will be going to PHX and Jeremy will follow:)

  • he has now made as many points in the 1st quarter as he made in the whole of last game. hope it continues!

  • 1mtoldman

    ikr

  • sport

I know right!! Suns sounds like the JLin home announcers more than Hornets! It’s usually the case for JLin though!

  • 1mtoldman

whats wrong with this picture? lin playing more minutes than walker? and with the ball in his hands as much? is this some other team?

  • xeroid

Lin allowed to be point guard, even when Walker was doing the facilitating, Lin was moving around and get touches on the ball instead of standing in the corner. I think Cliff is learning.

  • zxcvb

It will if he gets touches like this. If not, then it won’t. Just like always!

  • Maknusia

    Sunsanity

  • LinMad

Suns are leading cause of defense.

  • occupatio

they were running plays for lin. specifically that curl. its not random.

and getting picks at the top

  • John Focker

    I think F/O couldn’t stomach more Ls.

  • 1mtoldman

yer correct sadly both the other team announcers and coaches always seem to have more favorable things to say on lin than his own. always no matter where he is.

  • zxcvb

Charlotte’s lack of defense is a killer. Lin has two fouls and no one else can defend. Only PJ even tries.

  • Linsanity2.0

    ALL THE LIN!

  • Linsanity2.0

LIN IS HAVING HIMSELF A GAME 13 pts 2 ast 2 reb in 1st quarter

  • stam

Roberts looks like he’s playing some defense.

  • Linsanity2.0

first game all season Lin has played all of the 1st quarter

  • sport

Nah, Cliff is just “desperate” to win now especially with Batum out! Once Batum is back it’s back to old iso ball and Lin will be iced at the corner again. Cliff and FA never learn, want Lin to bail them out and then push him aside again.

  • LinMad

Rob can shoot. Not gonna lie.

  • LinMad

    Booker is crazy. He’s Curry-like

  • Briiick

Cliff is cornered. He can’t afford to protect KW’s spotlight tonight.

  • 1mtoldman

being called the “next klay thompson” i posted about him early several games ago how his 3 point shooting is off the charts.

  • LinMad

ball movement is bad right now.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • stam

lamb is so bad on defense he was completely lost..

  • sport

No Lin no Walker = no PG what do you expect? If Lamb was a true 6th man and playmaker Hornets would be that much stronger.

  • IsabeliJane*17

WHO FRICKIN’ LEFT RONNIE PRICE WAAAY OPEN ON THAT 3???

  • LinMad

    BROB left Price that open?

  • heart

Didn’t know Lin has 13pts already 1Q. Hornets defense needs to pick up, especially on Booker!!!

  • LinMad

    brob

  • IsabeliJane*17

    ugh!

  • tom

    Lin already coming in?

  • stam

Lol this bench looks like a street ball game..

  • sport

2 fouls already gotta be careful and look to score when he’s hot and teammates aren’t making shots!

  • tom

    Street ball has more skillz

  • Maknusia

    Good shoulder shake/fake there

  • LinMad

d-league style. Not enough off ball movement and ball movement.

  • tom

    Put Kemba in please
Lin already has 2 fouls let the man take a breather when he deserves it

  • 1mtoldman

a loss to phnx would look really bad but uh they could easily lose; no defense other than lin and lin already phantom fouled to two.

nobody else can guard booker or knight. and he isnt going to get a chance to.

but as long as lin keeps getting touches and points im fine.

  • Maknusia

    Lol

  • LinMad

might lose the game if he takes a long breather

  • zxcvb

Hansbrough needs to enter this game, if only to pick up some fouls. Zeller, Lamb and Kemba are so lazy…they refuse to be physical and Suns are scoring so easily.

  • sport

Either that or put Lin back in ASAP!

  • 1mtoldman

    whose brob? oh got it.

  • LAJane

Ugh is right. Sorry to see Price to accomplish anything…my inner Mean Girl sneaking out…

  • Epie

    Can anyone dunk lol

  • LinMad

Lin got hit in the face

  • IsabeliJane*17

I am more irritated how open that 3 was.

  • zxcvb

Lin got fouled hard in the face…no call. But he touches a guy’s jersey and gets 2 fouls.

  • 1mtoldman

    phnx announcers acknowledge.

  • 1mtoldman

but they did put lin back in to guard booker.

  • stam

yeah lin got fouled so hard he stopped the playl but no call.

  • LinMad

Booker is so physical on Lin

  • IsabeliJane*17

I wonder why Cliff doesn’t want to give Hansbrough some burn.

  • tom

    Why isnt Kemba in

  • who’s playing pg right now?

  • occupatio

hawes is worthless on both ends.

lin not getting any calls even tho getting wacked

  • 1mtoldman

    brob

  • 1mtoldman

    my question exactly.

  • Linsanity2.0

this second unit is so bad

  • tom

Lin is the only one who can score out there
    Thats not good

  • John Focker

Took the words right out of my mouth. Why not put Tyler in, how could Tyler possibly be any worse?

  • Linsanity2.0

how are the Suns winning by 11?? theyre are terrible

  • heart

Surprised KW has been sitting. Lin contained Booker.

  • thx

  • sport

Please put Hansbrough in, Hawes can’t defend!

  • 1mtoldman

    2 of 12 for 4 non starters.

  • Linsanity2.0

Kemba is probably coming back in after break.. BRob is just terrible

  • JLin Fan from Australia

    Wonder why????

  • Maknusia

    Need psalm to yell again

  • 1mtoldman

    we all are wondering that.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Wonder why Cliff doesn’t give him some minutes.

  • John Focker

    …or score…under the basket.

  • Linsanity2.0

    is Kemba injured?

  • LinMad

BROB as PG when he doesn’t need plays to shoot is ridiculous. Let Lin be the floor general.

  • golfhacker

    Or dunk.

  • occupatio

the suns commercial break entertainment is worse than charlotte’s.

  • Warren

Watch: Lakers Fan Changes Into Warriors Fan Mid-Game
    http://www.morningnewsusa.com/watch-lakers-fan-changes-warriors-fan-mid-game-2351615.html

    Ha. Ha. Ha.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I really have an issue with big men who shoot 3s. Eyesore.

  • LinMad

man we can’t make a bucket today

  • stam

Spencer what is up with this guy.

  • 1mtoldman

    somethings up

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Presumably as he hasn’t been returned since he left much earlier than JLin in 1st qtr.

  • CaliUSMC

I just tuned.. 13 PTS? OH SNAP

  • John Focker

Roberts as PG is a disaster, throw Hawes into the mix then you have a formula for another L.

  • zxcvb

I think Kemba might have tweaked something.

  • LinMad

    There we go!

  • LinMad

man this Suns team looks good

  • Linsanity2.0

lol theyre terrible they lost 9 in a row

  • LinMad

    but they aren’t missing today

  • Kwok Wai Lai

The bigs of Hornets can’t get anything going.

  • Linsanity2.0

    every dog has its day

  • zxcvb

Against this defense! Lin has 2 fouls and no one else is effective.

  • Fevers End

    Hawes makes me cry.

  • Linsanity2.0

Spencer Hawes has missed 3 point blank layups.. he is just terrible

  • IsabeliJane*17

Of all the bigs Jeremy played with, I only saw two who hustled on the inside: the Knicks’ Tyson and Ed Davis

  • John Focker

Lin got his season average in 17 minutes of play, goes to show how badly he’s been frozen out on an average night.

  • Briiick

It happens. Wait til the 2nd half.

  • LinMad

I think Kemba sat out for a very long time cause coach wants the 2nd unit to develop their rhythm.

  • 1mtoldman

thats no defense from hornets other than lin. notice lin completely shut booker down who was 4 of 5 before that. and did it with 2 fouls.

  • cshot

jeremy can make any bigs that roll hard and hustle look like all stars

  • zxcvb

This and Toronto is the only time where he touched the ball regularly.

  • Linsanity2.0

Lins been frozen out in this second quarter… Brob thinks hes a great point guard or something

  • 1mtoldman

hes’ touched it a lot less with roberts at point.

  • CJSHYY

But this 2nd unit plays so so only….?!

  • occupatio

lin 13 pts on 8 shots. should be 15 with that missed bunny.

  • John Focker

They’re facing Brian Roberts, Jeremy Lamb and Spencer Hawes tonight.

  • 1mtoldman

you are correct i noted that below. walker worked with lin this game for some reason but brob not. and team falls way behind.

  • John Focker

Which is why he disappeared in the 2nd quarter.

  • cshot

    jeremy out

  • 1mtoldman

    walker back.

  • occupatio

roberts is like kemba. takes the shot off the screen. thats his best skill. not much else he can do out there.

  • zxcvb

Kemba back in. Not sure if he was getting treatment or disciplined for not defending.

  • 1mtoldman

and why the score went south for the hornets.

  • Guest

Hornets are in big trouble. They have lost all confidence, need a shake up or go bowling to recharge the batteries.

  • John Focker

Glad to see Daniels on the court. He’s no worse than Lamb but for some reason gets no love, just like Tyler.

  • LinMad

That was a 24 sec violation

  • 1mtoldman

roberts 0 assists in his 9 minutes as point guard.

  • stam

walker didn’t even try to defend that…

  • John Focker

A Brian Roberts-led Hornets is very reminiscent of a Ronnie Price-led Lakers.

  • zxcvb

Kemba arguing and didn’t get back.

  • LinMad

These refs are blind. He stepped out.

  • John Focker

That’s how he plays long minutes without getting hurt or PFs.

  • zxcvb

I agree. But can’t stay and argue with a fastbreak going.

  • occupatio

honestly, i dont think cliff expects roberts to do that. roberts is for quick buckets

  • Briiick

Cliff deserves it because he has cowardly let KW dominate and pad his stats for so many losing games.

  • 1mtoldman

no cause price controls the ball himself freezing lin out price never takes shots. roberts takes 5 in 9 minutes.

  • Linsanity2.0

    Cliffords rotations are mind boggling..

    I just dont understand them

  • occupatio

kemba doesnt even bother closing out on tucker.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Really have a major issue with Kemba with his non-existence defense. He always steps out of the way when the player approaches him.

  • sport

    Hansbrough in but no Lin!

  • 1mtoldman

u r correct sir. they have made no sense within a game. they make some sense game to game but within a game they make no sense.

  • zxcvb

Well, no one’s scoring so defense loads up on him. Other guys got open shots but missed. Hawes alone has missed 2 layups and a wide-open 3. Lin also missed a bunny himself.

  • John Focker

I’m talking about the effect on the team.

  • 1mtoldman

lin has 2nd most minutes and most of guards. he needs to rest.

  • zxcvb

Also 2 fouls. I’d hate to see a 3rd in the final minutes.

  • Maknusia

10 pt game…sigh! They better buck up on D for second half

  • stam

hope williams can make the 2 FT

  • 1mtoldman

correct but he did come in and shut down booker with those 2 fouls.

  • sport

Wow lucky foul from refs for once, means they want to keep the game close!

  • Maknusia

    yup..8 pt game now

  • tom

2 fouls man need the rest

  • Linsanity2.0

Lin leading scorer with 13 pts.. all in the 1st quarter

  • zxcvb

They need to get some real physical defenders on this team. Even Batum is lazy this year.

Play Tyler more. Get a scrappy wing like PJ Tucker. Get a defensive big man like Noah.

  • occupatio

look at that ‘screen’ marvin set for kemba. lol. just worthless.

  • CJSHYY

Hornets D is bad…. Sun is shooting so well for first half… smh!

  • 1mtoldman

got frozen out by brob in the second quarter; course was only in about 4 or 5 minutes.

  • zxcvb

I wouldn’t set a good one for him either. Too selfish.

  • 1mtoldman

    or dont let bb walk.

  • occupatio

    marvin sabotaging kemba haha.

of course, kemba still manages to take the most difficult shot possible after failing to get separation.

  • sws94

He needs to get the same amount in the 2nd half or more. Look to shoot, don’t worry about misses.

  • zxcvb

I was surprised to see that. He’s not good enough to start (offensive zero), but he’s physical inside on defense. Boards and blocks a plenty.

  • 1mtoldman

thats when they got their lead. pretty shabby unit with kaminsky thrown in and then just whoever left rotating out of the starters.

  • sport

haha That’s so true! Marvin is a team player and probably sick of Walker’s iso selfish plays.

  • KL

I don’t like BRob very much.

  • LinMad

he’s not a PG, he’s just an undersized SG

  • Fevers End

The guy with the ankle sprain is doing the best defensively…

  • occupatio

    that sounds familiar.

  • 1mtoldman

    and offensively

  • NONONO

NONONO. i thought it was 10:30 tip off. i missed the half?

  • John Focker

    Kemba Jr.?

  • occupatio

    Kemba, the Sequel.

  • 1mtoldman

its hard to blame him he hardly ever gets to play wants to try to show something still he froze lin out in the time lin was in second quarter and with all rest just benchers let the game get away from them. hopefully starters vs starters in the 3rd quarter they can get it close again.

but with some many players out for hornets when have to go to “bench” its not pretty.

  • John Focker

Just the first quarter. Brian Roberts froze out Lin in the second quarter, nothing to see.

  • Briiick

Cliff has let KW pad his stats for so many games that no one except Lin is serious in defense.

  • 1mtoldman

first quarter was great lin. and you missed it

  • Linzen

Letting Suns score 60 in the half SMH

  • xeroid

I think Phoenix is Mountain time zone, not Pacific.

  • NONONO

Walker had less 12 mins? , lin 16 ? surprised

  • heart

Suns’ 3s are falling and helping their confidence. Hornets just need to pick up defense, shoot and dunk the basket w/confidence!!

  • 1mtoldman

    sad

  • occupatio

roberts would be fine as quick buckets guy off the bench if lin were not on the floor.

  • tom

    Roberts is so annoying

  • 1mtoldman

suns are a good 3 pt shooting team.

  • NONONO

Roberts ? He was worse than Walker!!!

  • John Focker

    Meg Ryan impression?

  • 1mtoldman

    yes

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Sun is shooting well in 3P today. Too bad not Hornets.

  • 1mtoldman

they have to stagger minutes of lin and kemba cause without batum with both off the floor the game goes completely down the drain (as it did in second quarter).

  • heart

Very surprised. Hornets need a win bad tonight. Let it be!

  • NONONO

I wonder Walker has some injury and Cliff has to let Roberts play

  • John Focker

This is what happens when you let players with traffic cone D stay on the court.

  • Maknusia

    yup…they are at 62% vs 43 hornets

  • 1mtoldman

its just a matter of minutes with so many players out and lamb not 100%

  • bolero

    sore knee?

  • heart

Saw so many open 3s for Suns. SMH!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Hopefully players will play better in 3rd qtr, otherwise it will be a lossing streak for the days to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • John Focker

Where did sore knee come from? Cliff only played him no more than 41 min per game recently! /S

  • cdblue10

Prolly Cliff is tired of his matador defense and ball hogging game

  • xeroid

I think it’s a subtle warning to Kemba to play defense.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Don’t care. He plays non-existence defense. It really bothers me so much now.

  • NONONO

I guess Cliff overplayed Batum and Walker for 20+ games, it has backfire now.

  • heart

Yep. Have to BELIEVE Hornets will turn this game around w/defense and their 3s will fall.

  • LinMad

I haven’t seen one good screen from the bigs today, did you guys?

  • Fevers End

When do they ever set good screens?

  • NONONO

no screen for almost every game.

  • heart

When Roberts was in w/ Lin, did Lin make any shots during that stretch? Anyone remembers?

  • blubell
  • heart

    nope.

  • CJSHYY

Bc he got the highest pts in 1st half…

  • LinMad

no, I think he shot one though and he missed.

  • NONONO

Roberts Roberts Roberts , Lin had his worst games were with him since Spurs game.

  • KL

Actually I noticed the problem with Roberts since the preseason. He is really trying too hard to prove something.

  • CJSHYY

NO, NYK beat Heat today. Hornets can’t loss this one today.

  • cdblue10

Kemba will try to shoot every ball possessions on this quarter

  • LinMad

    missed assist

  • stam

OMG cody you missed that it was a blown assist for lin…

  • LinMad

    PnR ain’t our thing.

  • grover chang

Does anyone dunk the ball on the hornets?

  • LinMad

    Zeller does

  • NONONO

big guys keep missing easy layups!!!

  • grover chang

looks like hawes been coaching zeller lately. He is taking it up soft. no dunk.

  • stam

Lin just standing around now, no one is passing to him.

  • LAJane

    we can only hope

  • LinMad

what??????? That was supposed to be offensive foul

  • Job713

is this an exhibition again? So many empty seats!

  • LAJane

    lol

  • cdblue10

    LOL

  • zxcvb

4 missed layups by bigs. Terrible, pee-wee basketball misses.

    Kemba hogging it again…

  • Guest

Hornets are short handed and they are saving KW for the second half

  • grover chang

Hope Tucker is okay. Looked bad.

  • zxcvb

He would be good on Charlotte with Lin. Good, scrappy 3 & D guy.

  • cdblue10

You should know it better Chandler

  • NONONO

    Suns commentators sound sleepy.

  • grover chang

better idea. Lin to Suns with Tucker, Chandler and MDA.

  • LinMad

    2 FTS

  • LinMad

    missed 1

  • zxcvb

    Missed both! Ugh.

  • blubell

    Missed both..

  • tom

    unaccetable

  • stam

Seriously lin you can’t be missing those FT…

  • MorlockO

    wow lin missed both

  • LinMad

    missed both wow

  • Maknusia

    missed!!!! 🙁

  • Dorothy

    222222222222222

  • NONONO

WOW lin!!!! you got to get those in

  • zxcvb

He missed the FTs and then hits the tough jumper. *shrug*

  • John Focker

You standing in for Lin Win? LOL

  • IsabeliJane*17

That turn around jumper makes up for the missed Fts

  • LinMad

    beautiful bucket on Tyson Chandler

  • zxcvb

Maybe the contact on the FT drive was harder than we thought.

  • LinMad

ya it was against Tyson too who is 7 ft

  • Job713

Lin rushed those FT, knew he was going to miss them. Lin always focuses after a “bad play” to make it up.

  • cdblue10

    These players are flat footed

  • IsabeliJane*17

Tyson Chandler alley-oop!… Oh wait.. sorry

  • cdblue10

    Lol,you missed those plays huh

  • Maknusia

    hahaha

  • NONONO

    No Mohawks No win?

  • grover chang

Lack of hustle with the Hornets lately. Just feels like another loss. Maybe hit a wall almost halfway through the season.

  • IsabeliJane*17

No defense by his team mates, no win.

  • CaliUSMC

Has Lin been playing D on Knight?

  • LinMad

    wtf no offensive?

  • grover chang

    Daniels could always shoot. nice.

  • stam

non call on jlin…damn refs i hate this officiating…

  • CaliUSMC

Nice pass by Lin to Zella

  • blubell

    Nice assist

  • zxcvb

Finally a layup by a big man! 1/5 ain’t bad!

  • LinMad

    finally a PnR that worked

  • zxcvb

He should have 3 more dimes if guys could make layups.

  • stam

    Good assist, finally cody finishes.

  • IsabeliJane*17

For some reason I think the Suns announcers are very impressed about Jeremy’s Harvard degree

  • CJSHYY

Ya! Just heard they said it…. LOL!

  • NONONO

The PnR was created by Lin chasing Cody. Bigs need to know how to setup screens!!!

  • grover chang

Sun analyst says hornet guards good at setting up bigs. Correction. Lin is good setting up the bigs. No other guard on the team tries to set anything up.

  • tom

Marvin Williams.. 2nd overal pick over CP3, DWIll, Baynum and granger LOL no wonder the Hawks were bad for so long

  • heart

Even Suns commentators said you want KW to go “one on one”!

  • NONONO

Lin should demand ball and do not let Kemba ISOs

  • Maknusia

    Lin is out

  • Briiick

You don’t want to double KB.

  • tom

    Wow Lin out?

  • Guest

Suns are keeping the door open for Lin’s next year free agency

  • IsabeliJane*17

If I’m a coach of the opposing team, I would love that as well.

  • JJ Hui

The low and dirty, no shame and no morality referees, i thought we are living in a civil educated society!

  • zxcvb

Gotta play the entire 4th. And Kemba is freezing him out again anyway.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

He needs to rest before playing the rest of 4th qtr.

  • Maknusia

lol…thats how it has been the whole season

  • sport

Hornets closes in and Lin gets benched! Total bs!!

  • NONONO

Lin and Cody just got first PnR, then sit?

  • stam

kemba is totally freezing lin out, i probably counted 2 passes to lin.

  • cdblue10

    They’re just all selfish

  • IsabeliJane*17

If Booker feasts on 3 pointers again…we know why.

  • grover chang

MW isn’t a superstar but I think he is good. Like his steadiness.

  • Maknusia

i would rather have him rest and come in strong for Q4

  • Briiick

    I hope so.

  • Fevers End

Some guy named Steph Curry, I don’t know lol.

  • LAJane

Haven’t we put that to bed? Kemba’s the anointed “star”. Controlling him is the coach’s job…if they want him controlled.

  • sport

Gotta let their fake star Walker shine.

  • golfhacker

Can Zeller grab a tough rebound?

  • cdblue10

Passing is not on Hornets playbook except for Williams and Lin

  • DX

Agreed, Lin has played 24 min so far.

  • LinMad

Refs are biased like every other day

  • Maknusia

    3pt game…good shot by Kam

  • cdblue10

His hands are short and greasy…lol

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • grover chang

only one point game. Keep Lin on the bench 😉

  • MoominFloren

I really don’t understand the coach…..he’s supposed to a D coach and this team with a very bad defense….. he talks about having PNR ball handlers but seldom allows it……and his rotation….urg I give up

  • cdblue10

It seems there are only 3 sequences when Kemba passed the ball on this quarter

  • Maknusia

Hornets takes the Lead!!!! good ast from KW

Suns finally playing like the Suns.

  • Maknusia

    lol

  • IsabeliJane*17

Boring without Jeremy Lin playing. Please play that Taco Bell commercial with Clementine the piggy bank again.

  • Briiick

A good indicator about whether Lin is allowed to facilitate or not is to check his ASTs. If his ASTs is below KW’s you bet he is given a marginalized role to play.

  • JJ Hui

I already seen him as hopeless quite somw time ago, talk is cheap!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOLOLOL Give up to understand Cliff as much as BS in a sense. Up to to Cliff is he does play JLin and doesn’t throw JLin under the bus.

  • NONONO

Hornets all starters double pts. Is it first time this season?

  • sport

All talk, in the end every coach and FO has their hidden agenda and fabricating their own star!

  • LinMad

it’s probably cause KW sat for a long time and Lin was trying to get everyone involved.

  • John Focker

HAHAHA, Kaminsky with the behind the back!!!

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Behind the back turnover

  • NONONO

    DAN!!!!

  • LinMad

And that’s why Frank shouldn’t play like he’s a guard. I mean a behind the back dribble? For reals?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Sure glad Daniels is hitting his shots. Keep hitting 3s.

  • Rick Johnson

What position is Roberts playing with Kemba and Daniel’s? Is he SF?

  • John Focker

    Daniels totally eclipsing Lamb.

  • LAJane

    The fanciest kind 🙂

  • gandychan

    shucks!

  • Epie

    Wow.. Kemba passed!

  • gandychan

Lin’s gotta look for his shot in the 4th.

  • tom

as long as its not to Lin

  • Kwok Wai Lai

All in all, the bench of Hornets cannot hold their ground.

  • JJ Hui

only when Lin not on the floor with him!!!

  • John Focker

Kemba Walker: How to go from 5 up to 1 down in 41 seconds.

  • heart

KW should have passed to Troy who has just made a 3 and that’s his specialty. SMH!

  • Rick Johnson

And why can’t Roberts play SG when Lin is in? Looks like he does when Kemba in. Lin should be PG.

  • grover chang

Lin just has to play to win, like he usually does. Plenty of guys just shooting. Need more winning plays: 50/50 balls, rebounding, defending, helping, passing. Lin is the best on the team at doing the little things to win because he is competitive and smarter.

  • NONONO

with Kemba and Roberts two ISO guys, it would be the worst pair

  • John Focker

The same reason Kemba isn’t playing SG: size.

  • John Focker

    Kemba and his mini-me.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Where is @psalm? He should raise the big check high for the camera to focus it.

  • MoominFloren

He never throw any players under the bus indeed

  • tom

barely hes solid at best deffs not better than those player in their prime

  • gandychan

sigh. poor handles. can’t blame anyone else for that TO. just gotta play better with his left hand there…

  • NONONO

Hornets bigs cannot rebounds, cannot layups , cannot shot and cannot block!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sws94

Lin’s ankle is really slowing him down. He wants to drive but I think it’s better if he doesn’t and facilitate another way.

  • tom

Careless TO come on Lin calm down

  • John Focker

Suns shooting a GSW-like 62.5% from beyond the arc, tells you all you need to know about Hornets’ D.

  • CJSHYY

Ya! He should just take the shot…. smh!

  • grover chang

his mind is moving faster then his ankle will allow.

  • aras

Does lin have a coach that he trains handles with? if not he should have one

  • sws94

It’s his ankle. He’s been doing that much of the game.

  • tom

He needs to take care of the ball better regardless

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Strange combination; with Cody and Marvin Williams out, Clifford sent in Lin with Hairston.

  • LinMad

The one time Lin gets to handle the ball and he loses it lol

Maybe coach needs to empower him at PG instead of giving that role to other players that aren’t PG-like.

  • NONONO

    Indeed

  • Briiick

Losing has momentum. Cliff might think he could get away with letting KW pad his stats in the scheduled losing games, but the bad habit in defense continues.

  • LAJane

I don’t know….Jeremy is a saint. A talented saint. As for me, I don’t want to cry so I just have to laugh. What are these folks thinking! Just trying to rack up stats is a proven game loser. Teamball? Maybe owners don’t really care about winning? maybe just money…or what? The best I can dig out of this is that nobody badmouths Jeremy, and he does seem to be miraculously rehabbing his sabotaged reputation. But oh, the basketball….

  • NONONO

Lin plays well with Marvin and Cody, they both out

  • sport

Coach staggering Lin and selfish Walker’s minutes finally! All they need to do is start Lin but stagger his and Walker’s minutes for most of the games for it to work!

  • LinMad

    Lin is coming out.

  • LinMad

Lin is coming out I think.

  • cdblue10

He needs to stopped going to his left

  • Epie

Something’s wrong when Kaminsky has more 3pt attempt than Lin

  • CaliUSMC

    Lin is outta control

  • Linsanity2.0

Lin 5 turnovers already.. come on man

  • MorlockO

something wrong with lin wow 5 TOs

  • LinMad

This was a very physical game with little calls.

  • Briiick

    Lin’s foot is not 100%.

  • John Focker

One was a foul non-call. But yeah his ankle can’t keep up and he should be more cautious knowing that.

  • zxcvb

Lin benched…and rightfully so. He stopped shooting and was looking for foul calls inside. Didn’t get them and kept making TOs. He should come back in, but I agree with a 2-3m benching.

  • aras

alright im just gonna say it…as long as lin’s handels are below average he is not going to start at a pg spot…the turnovers he is having are terrible to be honest

  • grover chang

cant blame Clifford for taking Lin out tonight, just can’t drive effectively since ankle sprain. stumbled last game and stumbling this game. Credit him for literally laying it all out there.

  • zxcvb

Nah, it’s not his handles. It’s decision making and some non-calls. Most PGs would just shoot it.

  • tom

    Lin way too many TOs
He has to play smarter when refs are not calling fouls pass the ball

  • Linsanity2.0

Clifford made the right decision to bench Lin.. hes just been awful after that great 1st quarter

  • LinMad

refs aren’t calling anything on Lin, just against him.

  • rookie75094

Like I said…I rather Jlin sit until he is 100%…instead of struggling to play…very tough to watch.

  • aras

his handles are not good enough for a starting point guard atm just my opinion though.

  • DX

What’s Lin doing? 5 TOs already and haven’t scored at 2nd half.

  • John Focker

    Boxscore watcher.

  • sws94

Part of it is his ankle. But here’s where his decision-making comes into play. Change up and use the mid-range game. He should be using that more. This game is a high TO game but usually they aren’t this high. But his handles need work.

  • aras

lol…im watching the game with the suns commentator…

  • zxcvb

Nope. Wall and a dozen other “star” PGs make a gazillion TOs.

  • NONONO

No excuse for Lin’s TOs. If it is ankle issue, then stop dribbling

  • John Focker

Good enough to break LeBron’s ankle, true story.

  • CJSHYY

I think he should just take the shot not drive to the rim. smh!

  • adele

Really? gotta be kidding me. Kemba is making 19 shot attempts Lin is only making 9 attempts since the last quarter. So Kemba is taking all the shots now.

  • zxcvb

Too much overthinking. Waiting for the foul call instead of just shooting it!

  • sport

Lin’s been fall down so much, is it the ankle or shoes?

  • Promo Sports World

Wow the hate is real here

  • Linsanity2.0

    both

  • John Focker

Let me spot you on screen… LOL

  • LinMad

Problem from this team and other teams is that Lin doesn’t get help from the bigs, so creating his own shots by driving in without screen will result in lots of contact, maybe a TO/no foul call.

  • JoeTeam

the one I saw he was hit and no call.

  • JT

    not hate, just severe disappointment

  • IsabeliJane*17

I go for ankle.I thought he’s already ok. Maybe he still isn’t.

  • zxcvb

    Tiger fans!

  • NONONO

i bet is ankle issue which makes him light on foot

  • Promo Sports World

    It’s a little much

  • John Focker

Luckily Lin got his stats in first quarter, don’t mind the Hornets’ L under Kemba. Happy for Daniels.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

Lin seems to have very slippery hands…his grip on the ball is so weak..The ball would slip out of his hands with very little contact.

It’s either that or he has small hands..So depressing to see him get these weak turnovers.

  • sws94

Neither does Kemba really. Lin has to make the injury adjustment and I hope he does when he gets back in.

  • Promo Sports World

Turnovers are part of the game…..still got strong mins and the opportunity to get back in

  • sport

Agree, refs not calling fouls for them.

  • Dorothy

Some I hardly saw them post, but surfaced whenever Lin played poorly. He is not 100%, SMH.

  • grover chang

One aberration for this likely loss is Suns are shooting the 3 ball really well. Even with bad defense their percentage is crazy good.

  • Epie

Jlin’s hair looks like this tonight

  • NONONO

Where is Lamb??? after a high score game???

  • sport

Been saying it, Kemba is another wannabe star chucking 20+ shots every game! If Lin took 20 shots every game he’d be averaging 30+ PPG!

  • cdblue10

Lin is always good going to his strong side and he should continue to do so but he listens a lot with detractors that he needs to use his left more and it messes up his effectiveness.I wonder how good is he now if he just continue to develop using his strong side.

  • rookie75094

How the heck the suns lose 9 in a row playing like this?

  • zxcvb

Okay, gotta put Lin back in.

  • sws94

If the left is more open, go left. If it is the right, go right. I don’t think there’s anymore to it.

  • NONONO

Put Lin back if no ankle problem.

  • Promo Sports World

Suns are are in turmoil….the defense of the hornets is unacceptable

  • golfhacker

    Shooting lights out 3-pt.

  • John Focker

Their opponents in those 9 games played better D at the 3-pt line. Hornets playing matador D.

  • Dan Cohen

of course..this is the suns you are talking about ..
and I thought if he had a break out game which he is suppose to.. ppl will say it’s only the suns…now.. he even not doing well with the crppy suns. smfh

  • aras

his handles needs more…i think his coach whoever he has training him is a joke…seriously why in the h*** would you train all year on the 3pts when people criticize you for your handles…sure decision making is off as well but Lin usually makes the right plays…i swear evertyime i see him penetrate i hold my breath…say what you want about kemba but his handles are crazy…

  • Dorothy

    His ankle, remember?

  • sws94

This game Lin may not finished. But it is based on how he was playing. Who knows, Cliff may bring him back in. I don’t know if he should. Lin needs to get his ankle better.

  • tom

    Lin come on
You gotta do better or you are getting less and less minutes

  • grover chang

I think the hate is too severe. Lin is coming back from an injured ankle still. Has anyone on this forum played after an injury. You do not play your best and often look bad with your body not doing what your mind is telling it to do. I’m not mad at Lin. He is playing hard as usual, just can’t do what he normally wants to do.

  • adele

True. That’s why I don’t really have the excitement to watch the game. They are just using Lin after all these injuries but it’s still Kemba’s stats they’re catering. Hate it.

  • LinMad

I’m okay if Lin sits out rest of game because of 5 TOs, but I’m not okay that Batum got to finish games with 9 TOs.

  • Linsanity2.0

    he didnt make the shot..

  • aras

wall has 9.7 assists and 4.2 turnovers this season

  • Dan Cohen

but he was killing it in the first half..so no excuses.

  • Promo Sports World

It’s called Troy Daniels playing well

  • John Focker

Point is his handle is fine.

  • CJSHYY

I guess bc right now these group play well.

  • sws94

They say he worked with the Professor, a streetballer with great handles. Lin’s footwork also needs work.

  • rookie75094

JLIN need to sit out the next 5 games

  • Dan Cohen

he was kiling it in the 1st half.
he disappear in the 2nd half.

  • adele

    Yes. sad but true.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

I agree..it’s as simple as that…Lin probably just over-think stuff..sometimes, he needs to simply run a play and get the ball out of his hands so he can calm down his nerve.

His turnovers tend to occur in bunches, so you know it’s probably a nerve issue and he think too much about past turnovers.

  • cdblue10

Most players always go to their strong side to keep their balance.

  • sport

Lin can’t outshine their designated stars.

  • Briiick

Bad team defense habit built during KW’s stat padding series is hard to remove. Cliff allowed this thinking they were hopeless games anyway.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

It’s so sad to see Lin playing below 100%

  • John Focker

Always knew Daniels’ a better shooter than Lamb, just don’t know why Cliff won’t touch him.

  • Promo Sports World

And yet the numbers are ok

  • Dorothy

mmm, because that was beginning of the game…

  • Promo Sports World

He is a knock down shooter for real

  • aras

i swear when he a bunch of shots i get angry yeah but nothing compared to when he does these kind of turnovers…id take Lin having rondo like shot abilities but the handles be great all day.

  • grover chang

Yes, an injured body part hampers you more when you are tired. That is how it works when you play hurt.

  • IsabeliJane*17

    Health-wise he isn’t 100%
    Numbers are ok.

  • zxcvb

Game over. Lin played poorly in the 4th but you can’t win without him.

  • KHuang

    UNCALLED REF FOULS

  • JoeTeam

kemba takes team on his back, loses 1-5 ball. Sorry, just observing for ya … I could be wrong.

  • rookie75094

Clifford is doing more harm than good by playing Jlin with a still bum ankle… smh

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Clifford’s TO doesn’t worth a dime.

  • MoominFloren

but he was iced out by his own teammates Mr Walker & Mr Roberts..

  • John Focker

    Chuck, Kemba, chuck! 24 FGAs.

  • tom

    Length

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

well, that’s the game right there…bad day for Lin eventhough he shot well.

  • Linsanity2.0

Lin was not 100 % but he still scored 13 pts in the 1st quarter… so you cant blame it on his ankle it was just poor decision making and bad handles

  • sws94

HIs ankle became weaker as the game went along. Same pattern in the last 2 games.

  • BobbyH

Something wrong with this team, chemistry wise. No energy, no defense, lots ISO.

  • your son’s voltaire

    more like fouls not called

  • Promo Sports World

Coach is tinkering with subs and the sets aren’t sound

  • JoeTeam

I just saw Kemba not get a call, and on the other end he was so tired he had both hands on his knees.

  • blubell

    Lin in

  • LinMad

another game where refs seem to be biased thoughh

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Gosh Lin comes in with 7 points behind.

  • your son’s voltaire

    more like coach is clueless

  • sws94

Why? Maybe next game or 2, but 5?

  • John Focker

Bad ANKLES, not handles. You need a new keyboard! LOL

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

This is really not the time to criticize Kemba…He played well and if it wasn’t for him, the Hornets would had lost by more…so let’s be fair here.

  • Briiick

Lin was allowed to bring up the ball a few times in the 1st quarter, but I didn’t see it in the rest of the game.

  • Promo Sports World

His handle is above avg not great but it’s one bad turnover game that is being exaggerated

  • your son’s voltaire

at 50 seconds left. what’s the point

  • Linsanity2.0

lets be fair here.. if youre going to praise Lin you have to criticize him when hes playing bad too

  • JoeTeam

    well, kw just lost it.

  • your son’s voltaire

    coach is lame

  • grover chang

I would blame his ankle. As the game goes on and you get more tired an injury affects you more.

  • golfhacker

If Lin says he can play, what do want Coach to say – no? You think the coach would make someone play if the player says he can’t play?

  • zxcvb

    “Kemba has terrible handles!”

  • John Focker

No one ever questions Harden’s or Batum’s handles when they have 9 TOs.

    Tiger fans galore.

  • Promo Sports World

    Defense needed too late

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Lin has 2 nights off next this road trip, maybe he should hook up with Rafael.

  • JoeTeam

some lin fan out there want to talk about KW’s TOV just now?

  • tom

Lin hasnt been impressive for the last few games where he started
Must be the injury and this game hes just too boneheaded

  • your son’s voltaire

praise? where? you’re acting like a troll

  • Linsanity2.0

thats because Harden is a superstar that puts up 30 pts a game

  • tom

    Yah horrrible

  • zxcvb

    TRUTH.

  • JoeTeam

he’s as impressive as kw really,

  • sport

He was benched more in 2nd half and iced out by Walker again. Lin made most of the shots he took but when he’s not PG it does affect his game!

  • John Focker

    …from the FT line.

  • zxcvb

“Terrible handles! He’s not a starting PG.”

  • tom

Not that KW has been impressive either

  • rookie75094

F!!!! These refs again…..I seem to repeat myself every game now

  • Linsanity2.0

    30 pts is 30 pts……

  • sws94

Stupid. Trying to do too much. He’s forced a lot this quarter.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

    Kemba was great all night.

  • IsabeliJane*17

That’s just insulting to Steph Curry.

  • JoeTeam

I like Dell better than MJ … I never have to eat bitterness when I listen to Dell.

  • blubell

    Lin out

  • sport

Harden also free to take 20+ shots per game and play no D just like Walker! Both fake/wannabe stars!

  • IsabeliJane*17

    30 points in 60 attempts…that is…efficient

  • zxcvb

    Uhhh…..

  • JoeTeam

he was too tired to even put up a layup when he was free.

  • Promo Sports World

24 shots is too much coach….need a system that moves the ball around….and Phoenix is a bad team

  • Dorothy

    HaHaHa, love it

  • LinMad

We didn’t play smart bball today, that’s why Suns beat us.

  • tom

This team is so bad they cant even foul properly

  • BobbyH

The coach extension was given too earlier. Head Coach played too conservative.

  • InfiniteWisdom

nothing you can do when the refs bet on the suns… nothing more needs to be said…

  • your son’s voltaire

clifford playing Lin like a scrub

  • John Focker

You sound like Lin Win just hijacked your account.

  • Promo Sports World

He it’s a team game…and Phoenix is scored too many points ….

  • JoeTeam

to be fair, he’s PG for a team that is losing regularly because of his PG choices.

  • zxcvb

Not great, but I can’t complain. Nothing like the fix during the Houston and OKC games.

  • grover chang

He tried to drive the way he has before a million times, but instead of explosion, he stumbles. Like someone trying to go on a bad ankle. Looked like someone trying to run on a bad ankle to me.

  • LinMad

BROB at PG, Lin at SG = fail. Then in 2nd half when Lin tried to be PG, he just turned it over and over. I think Lin is slowly losing his PG instincts and become a defensive guard.

  • Epie

Well, at least Cliff tried something new today

  • NONONO

It looks like Lin is bothered by the ankle and almost had another TO

  • zxcvb

He benched Walker in the first half too to be fair.

  • Briiick

Cliff is worse than Suns’ coach who is to be fired.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

After this game T Daniels will take the place of Lamb

  • rookie75094

I want him to have extra time to get that ankle 100%

  • John Focker

Lin’d be scoring 40 pts a game if his elbow can draw foul on opponents’ noses. League-coddled puppets are no true stars.

  • your son’s voltaire

    that’s called rest

  • takemeback2reaganyears

No he’s not. Lin played so out of control tonight.

  • zxcvb

Lamb got in Cliff’s doghouse for poor defensive effort. Not even trying.

  • CJSHYY
  • Illbe

Jeremy…tends to over think. He was frozen out in the 2nd qtr by the 2nd unit and hasn’t recovered. Last few games he has been passing up shots deferring to Walker and then making mistakes on his own. He does loose control driving in the paint, but that has always been a part of his game. We’ve seen Batum make bonehead TO’s in numerous games…Isn’t this the most TO’s for Lin this year? I’m pretty sure Batum has had 4-5 TO’s a game more than once this year. What went wrong tonight is the 2nd quarter..Lin was playing with confidence and then the team let him down.

  • Briiick

    Flagged.

  • aras

yeah it was terrible. there you go

  • Promo Sports World

This is Jeremy’s NBA career in nutshell….still thinking he is having a strong year minus the shooting numbers

  • Illbe

    Are you kidding?

  • NONONO

it is. unfortunately it happens when the team needs him the most,

  • zxcvb

Eh. Let’s relax. He hasn’t had a bad TO game in a looong time.

Bad 4th but he should have played more anyway.

  • your son’s voltaire

how is getting fouled but not getting calls on the drives out of control?

  • JoeTeam

    whew …

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    A bad loss.

  • sport

Lin got the pouting lips on the bench while holding his chin. Probably thinking (whatever, I got my points tonight)

  • Linsanity2.0

who cares about points if your team doesnt win

  • your son’s voltaire

first time but immediately gets benched. never happened to batum. that’s why i said clifford plays Lin like a scrub

  • CJSHYY

Ya! He slipped 3 times near the rim…

  • blubell
  • tom

exactly if they keep losing Lin will get less minutes

  • zxcvb

He’s let him play through mistakes before (since December). It’s clear Cliff was desperate.

Kemba was benched for almost the entire 2Q. Lamb barely played. Lin obviously isn’t treated fairly, but I wouldn’t read much into tonight.

  • BobbyH

    Harden Fans, kobe fans

  • IsabeliJane*17

TEAM – meaning there are other players. I missed the part where the other players came out to play

  • sport

  • NONONO

Lin , relax. get healthy soon.

  • blubell
  • Linsanity2.0

thats 5 in a row for the Hornets.. just crazy considering they were the 2nd seed 3 weeks ago

  • MoominFloren

I hope Lin can sit out next game or two. It’s not worth to risk your body when you are only getting paid $2M ……

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

happy for jeff hornaceck…the pressure was really starting to build up on him…too bad the win came at the expense of Lin and a bad night that saw him turn the ball over 5 times.

  • Illbe

I agree…he had a bad time in the 4th…he has been great this year with his TO’s…Stat folks will tell us, but this seems to be the lowest TO season yet!

  • your son’s voltaire

huge difference. one is benched while the other is rest

  • CJSHYY

    Can’t agree more…

  • blubell
  • zxcvb

He’s not 100% but he’s good enough to go. Suns were on a mission tonight and no one but Lin (and maybe PJ) defends on this team! Bad defense and 2nd half Kemba Ball lost it. Lin passed up some shots too, leading to TOs.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Are you watching the same game than I was watching????!!!!!!!!!!

  • Briiick

How many games do Hornets not lose when KW takes more than 20 shots ?

  • MoominFloren

And they use Lin’s photo AGAIN !!!!!! Hate it!!!!

  • Promo Sports World

Got check time for the coach and the hornets….Kemba walker who I like, but not as a high volume shooter, needs to get his teammates involved

Jeremy needs to be play his refined game and get healthy

  • aras

He needs better handles thats just the truth of it. yeah this is his biggest TO game but there have been numerous games this season where he has looked shaky…to be a starting point guard in this league you need to have reliable ball handling skills and sad to say he just does not have that in his skills yet.

  • Promo Sports World

    Clicks man

  • zxcvb

Yes, I think I misread your post! TOs not a concern.

He did defer tonight, but that’s not typical. In past games there’s no ball movement with Lin playing offball 90% of the time. He goes 5m of game time without touching it.

  • InfiniteWisdom

yep. and kemba got hammered all night but not a whistle our way. ref’s sister probably bet the house on the suns… oh and cliff must be related to teletovic. didnt wanna guard him all game…

  • Briiick

    Very KB alike.

  • your son’s voltaire

the problem with kemba isn’t that he shoots a lot. it’s that he’s handling the ball too much which takes away from what makes Lin so great.. distributing the ball for the whole team

  • IsabeliJane*17

Either in the doghouse for not playing defense or his injury aggravated.

  • CJSHYY

Probably blame his 5 TO. But Kemba got 3 TO w 9-24 shots.

  • sport

I dislike Walker, another selfish wannabe star chucking 20+ shots! No one will buy this crap and actually believe he’s a star!

  • blubell

    15 pts (6-9), 4asts, 5 rebs, 5 TOs, 29 mins

  • your son’s voltaire

he allowed Booker to go off

  • CJSHYY

I think his big problem is poor D like Harden.

  • sport

Lin didn’t play most of 4th quarter, scapegoat!

  • InfiniteWisdom

    homers gonna homer…

  • your son’s voltaire

agreed. that’s a problem on the defensive end

  • Illbe

Isn’t that what happened tonight…no touches after the 1st, and then he forced it in the 4th?

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

The problem is really his grip on the ball…I can understand losing the ball when a defender makes a good swipe at it and poke it out, but for Lin to let the ball slip with no contact on it, is un-explainable.

He really needs to find out why the ball keep slipping out of his hands so often…small hands?…wet palm of hands?…think too much and needs to pass it just to get extra time to calm his nerve?

We’ve seen these turnovers way too much in his career and they tend to occur in bunches…Lin needs to seriously not try to over-do it after a turn-over..sometimes, it’s better to run a play and get the ball out of your hand so you can calm down.

  • CJSHYY

If Lin didn’t slip 3 times. Then the TO will be only 2 times. Too bad, something wrong w his shoes or ankle?

  • Promo Sports World

    Not horrible at all

  • sport

Please Batum have 9 TOs almost every game.

  • MomentousPetey

Meh,….some of the TOs could’ve been fouls, enough of the knee-jerk

  • xeroid

Clifford trying for discipline and punishment. He benched Kemba in the second quarter for poor defense, and he benched Lin in the 4th quarter for turnovers and slightly out of control. I have no problem with that, but after benching Lin for 2 minutes, he should have reinsert Lin if he wants the win. Yet Hornets traded baskets and treaded water until the 3 put them 7 behind, and he reinserted Lin with 1+ minutes left, too late.

  • sport

I say both! Adidas shoes are horrible probably why he got that ankle injury too!

  • CJSHYY

So I didn’t RT this one. smh!

  • IsabeliJane*17

My problem with him are he doesn’t know how to facilitate offense, his defense is ugh (if there is any), and he shoots too much thinking he’s the Steph Curry of the East.

  • Promo Sports World

He needs to be coached man…he is not so me first as it seems but the chucking plays into that narrative

  • MomentousPetey

    Eph-in knee jerk fans, I tell ya….

  • your son’s voltaire

NBA, where a millionaire is created every day

  • heart

Notice KW only passes from outside. He does not drive in the paint to pass out to corner 3. It’s like automatic clockwork that he would shoot every other possession. Or if he misses one shot, the probability 9 out of 10, you know that he will shoot in the next possession.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Please…Lin had his first dumb TO on the very first play, disaster followed.

  • Linsanity2.0

Questionable decisions by Clifford all game long… Hornets FO probably regretting that extension right about now…

  • NONONO

Interesting comment from Hornets’ realgm MOD this morning –

“Re: GT: Hornets vs Suns Wed Jan 6 9PM EST

    Post#41 » by JDR720 » Yesterday 2:38 pm

this game is going to be a knight vs kemba chuck fest. first one to 25shots wins”

Guess what, knight 7/15 and Kemba 9/24. Hornets lost!

  • grover chang

Suns seemed really hot. I don’t think Lin on a bad ankle was going to beat them tonight

  • sport

Lin wasn’t reinserted at all! He was benched most of 4th and didn’t close the game!

  • your son’s voltaire

oh please, you didn’t even watch the game. you said Kemba played well all night. laff

  • sws94

Hands aren’t that small. They aren’t huge like Rondo’s but they’re big enough.

I think his footwork and handles need work. I’ve been saying that a long time. A starting PG needs very strong handles.

  • CJSHYY

I think bc they almost catch up with only lose by -4…. anyway, Cliff should not let Roberts run 2nd unit for too long that make us lose big in 2Q.

  • NONONO

wait. maybe he was right – kemba needs one more shot!

  • Promo Sports World

Knight has really refined his game….underrated guard

  • takemeback2reaganyears

The only positive comes out of this game is I hope the Hornets will trade Lin.

  • JoeTeam

he’s not a fun player to watch because it’s like going down to the park and watching one or 2 guys just freeze out everybody else on the court. Many years of playing with people like that until I found a group of guys who would play team ball. It’s not fun, and the odds of winning or having a good day are low. They’re always happy, though.

  • CJSHYY

    Will not happen.

  • MomentousPetey

    UUhhmm….no.

  • aras

Im trying to figure it out..honesly i just think his handles are weak.

  • xeroid

he played for 20 seconds and was fouled and then he took him out again.

  • sws94

Completely not true. Sorry. Cliff trusts Lin to go in there and play well. Lin just kept trying to drive and turning the ball over. Really, Lin needed to do something different yet kept trying the same thing with the same result. That should result in benching.

  • sport

Doesn’t matter, Lin’s not staying anyway. You can bet he will be reuniting with MDA and already in talks.

  • Illbe

Come on…how many times have we seen him dribble in the paint and keep his dribble and circle around defenders and come up with a play. We can’t see what is happening in the paint when he looses the ball. Pushing that he receives and the no calls. He has to practice to overcome the physical ambushes and not loose his handle on the ball.

  • Briiick

Cliff spoiled KW in those projected losing games so bad that no one but Lin wants to defend any more. Now Cliff is on the verge of losing the team.

  • JoeTeam

Kemba-ball in the last 3 mins leads to massive changes in lead, so it was hard for Cliff to control the flow. Cliff should know better though.

  • aras

thats the thing with strong handles you can go anywhere you want on the court because people respect your handles.

  • Promo Sports World

I’ve seen Kemba play since high school

Game has not evolved but he has been always been asked to score

Never learned bake to run point

Hornets should’ve brought a vet in years ago to have him adjust his game

  • your son’s voltaire

the only thing we can agree on today is that Lin and the hornets should separate. i don’t think Lin will resign with this horrible team and coach

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Some hope after this game. It’s getting so bad, hope they throw Lin under the bus.

  • JoeTeam

Harden of the East. Melo of the Mid-Atlantic. Kobe of the Southern Charm.

  • heart

KW has taken 20+ shots and most of the time Hornets loses. So there’s really no set plays or KW does not stick to set plays or tries to set up teammates. It’s not working. Something has to change.

  • tom

He turned it over twice in a row when they were down a few points then the suns extended the lead
It’s okay Clifford wanted to win
Lin deserved the benching for the boneheaded plays
He needs to get it together and earn the trust back

  • CJSHYY

Hornets is #11 now. NYK is #10.

  • JoeTeam

yeah, I read a lot about how good Kemba was before this year, but now that I’ve seen him, he’s deceptive in that you start to like some of the good moments, but seeing him lost close games is hard to like.

  • sws94

Batum isn’t a PG and his TOs are a lot on passes. Most of Lin’s were on drives tonight. A lot of people question Harden’s TOs. And a lot else of Harden’s game.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

To be honest with you, I can’t really blame Clifford for removing Lin out of the game…Lin was out of control and needed to calm down…way too many turnovers in a short span.

As the coach, I would have done the same thing.

Let’s hope these type of games will be very few for Lin this season.

  • your son’s voltaire

YOU = ABL – Anyone But Lin

  • Maknusia

That was just coincidental….3rd seed tilll 6th was all stacked

  • Linsanity2.0

I said Hornets FO.. not Lin… calm down

  • Briiick

Cliff was behing KW’s volume shooting during those projected losing games, which destroys the morale of the team.

  • MomentousPetey

There was some contact on those TOs, he just didn’t have the acceleration to make them noticeable enough for a foul.

  • Promo Sports World

When batum comes back Jeremys mins will probably go down…has had a good run of mins and chances and I see him earning trust

Just had a bad TO game today but his defense and quality shooting was there

  • Maknusia

    Indeed

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • Linsanity2.0

Hornets done.. they are not making the playoffs anymore

  • tom

I don’t think Batum and Lin are coming back next year
Nic wants to win so does Lin
If coach can’t get KW and Robert to stop iso’ing, this team is not gonna win

  • LAJane

    ???

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

Agree..I have obsolutly no problem with benching Lin here…He was out of control…Ball kept slipping from him….I just don’t understand this.

Not only is Lin grip on the ball slippery, but he also seem to slip a lot on his feet..

  • JoeTeam

i saw that he has to force it because CHA were down by a wide but still had a chance, and nothing was creative. I am ok with his TOVs because he had to try, and also, I thought I saw 2 uncalled fouls.

  • tom

He knows this 4 out of 5 TOs were like that he should have adapted

  • xeroid

the first TO I blamed on Hairston, he came over to demand the ball with defender right behind him, took the ball away, but was charged to Lin.

  • Illbe

NBA wanted the Suns to win…good press…the team just got back from a bowling ‘pow wow’…how sweet!! they deserve the win, you know!! (sarcasm)

  • John Focker

Barring the one foul not called, he’s obviously trying to drive and slipping. Not a handle issue as much as deciding to drive on a bad ankle.

Batum TOs also come from being careless (stolen from behind).

  • sws94

I think Lin’s minutes stay at around 30. The team needs Kemba, Batum and Lin on the floor. They have different strengths. For instance, Lin is better at drawing fouls than Batum, getting loose balls, Kemba is good at making big shots, Batum is good at controlling the pace of the offense and sometimes making good passes.

  • JoeTeam

    that = 5+15 TOVs = 20.

  • sws94

Roberts isn’t a factor as he doesn’t play much. There’s no Jefferson or MKG and Batum and Lin are hurt. It’s a different team when they all are healthy.

  • xeroid

The floor seem to be wet, I think Kemba also stumble in that area but he maintained possession.

  • Maknusia

At least it’s recognized….his ankle is still a problem

  • blubell

He’s been averaging 22 shots in the last 6 games and lost 5 of those games. Before maybe averaged around 15 shots.
    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/6479/kemba-walker

  • John Focker

25 pts on 24 shots is hardly well, before we even start discussing his D. How about those Suns shooting 57.6% from the 3pt line?

  • sws94

Problem is, Lin had 13 points in the 1st QUARTER. He was on pace for a big-scoring night. He did not have a great 2nd half. Lin used to play stronger 2nd halves. I hope he gets back to that when he’s healthy.

  • JoeTeam

yes, agree, kw is the one setting the contagious iso tone.

  • MomentousPetey

How so, no one else could get the ball into the paint to make a play…

  • JoeTeam

i saw that too. gotta wait for replays.

  • Promo Sports World

I’m just as optimistic as you

The lamb thing is interesting….don’t think Clifford is sold on the kid, which puts his mins in influx

  • sws94

If he can’t drive, he should stop. Period. Not turn the ball over on play after play. That’s not smart on Lin’s part. He should then look for short jump shots or just look to facilitate. Not drive if he physically can’t.

  • John Focker

What length are you referring to? If referring to size, Lamb’s listed 6’5″ vs Daniels’ 6’4″. Besides, size is useless if the player does nothing with it. Case in point Hawes.

  • tom

    True they really need batum
Lin can’t carry too much offensive load when he tries too much, its really bad sometimes, his consecutive TOs are one of the reasons they lose today imo
they need all three of Kemba Batum and Lin

  • blubell
  • JoeTeam

he was pushing it to maintain contact for the team. KW ball was going to drive them off a cliff. I could see that and I’m not a coached dude. But I know when to step it up in intensity to keep our team in contact. Else you just fold and play for yourself.

  • John Focker

And he doesn’t look as lost on the court as Lamb.

  • sws94

He plays poor defense. That’s his biggest problem.

  • DanCohen

Oh you mean his ankle got iced by those 2 teammates.. then he should definitely be fine then!.. ankle got iced by 2 ppl!

  • sport

No it’s not when they are healthy Lin just gets less minutes, less time as PG, and iced out more!

  • Briiick

That’s the point ! Cliff allowed him to take so many shots because he thought there was no hope to win anyway. But this has turned off the defensive effort from almost everyone but Lin. Now KW is addicted to it and Cliff is losing control.

  • DanCohen

half joking in case you didn’t get.

  • sws94

I think if Lin was healthy tonight he scores 30. I really do. He got worse and worse as the game progressed. He’s not solid on his feet.

  • JoeTeam

I wanted to see him take a couple there when he elected to drive, as I knew they needed some other scoring thread before KW ‘takes over’ to lose.

  • Promo Sports World

You keep banging that to drum to make it true

    They played no defense

Jeremy is not the starting pitcher for Petes sakes

  • GoJLin!

It is Clifford’s fault, at 2nd Q, let KW sit too long to save his energy, put him back when opponents get tired, so KW can play no defense. Put Lin with bench and don’t let him play PG at all (let Roberts running the O to loss too much). When he is hot, you don’t continue build on top of that rhythm. Poor JLIN has to fight through the sprained ankle for this hopeless CHA tonight.

  • Maknusia

Nyk beat mia today…they seem to getting better

  • sport

No it wasn’t! It was Kemba going 9 of 24! 5 TOs is not alot compared to Batum and other PGs. Not to mention Lin wasn’t in most of 4th quarter nor did he close out the game!

  • JoeTeam

    KP!

  • sws94

He then has to go slower and take floaters. He needed to do something different. We’ll see if he’s interviewed what he says if anything.

  • heart

Lin drives in tight space that’s where most of his TOs occur, except for the first TO where he handed the ball to PJ and it ripped out of PJ’s hand (by Price or Knight). The refs didn’t call a blatant foul on a play that I saw Lin’s got hit in the face and had to give up the ball.

  • Briiick

    You’ve got a point.

  • xeroid

Jeremy did carry the weight in first half. In the second half he was not the point, and was forcing the issue when he got the rebound and decided for the drive and slipped.

  • MomentousPetey

Exactly. Too many assumptions out there by fairweather fans…smh lol

  • DanCohen

becareful there, else you will be banned like I did for telling the truth.

but I agree with you.. he came from harvard so shouldn’t he be smart to adapt.. last time I checked ankle has no relation to the logical part of the brain.

  • sws94

He wasn’t the point much in the first quarter where he scored 13 points. His ankle isn’t there. It shows in his play as the game goes along.

  • sport

No really yah think? You can already bet Batum and Lin’s not returning and they can continue to promote their fake “Star Walker” but he’s not bringing them anywhere close to playoffs. They can also continue to let Batum play SG with 9 TOs every game just to make him stay but he’s just pulling their leg. If they treated Lin like Batum there’s no doubt he would stay out of loyalty but nope they continue to treat him no different from Rockets and Lakers. They let him play catch up and then put him away once the game is close.

  • JoeTeam

I want him to take floaters too. Did you see KW try one near the end there? I was like saying to myself … “who’s he think he is, Steph?” his high class was a klank compared to Chef Curry.

  • JoeTeam

I never smh, it takes too much energy and I might end up a bobble head ha ha.

  • Promo Sports World

Phoenix had several players in double digits

    Shot 3s from a high %

    Kemba forgot to pass

These are the reasons for the loss tonight

Jeremys turnovers while negative didn’t lead to a loss tonight

Jeremy had more Positive than negatives

  • DanCohen

exactly, there is no excuse for that .. period. ankle injury or not.

  • aras

i hope the problem is his ankles because it looked awful for him in the second half..but if ankles are still the problem wth is hornets doing still playing him..let him rest.

  • Acbc

    Thank you

  • heart

Yep. I think so. Remember hearing Dell said KW had to shoot at least 25+ to have a chance against GSW the other night. This allowance has to come FO/Cliff passing down to Hornets media as their narrative.

  • JoeTeam

he was struggling to create an option to keep the team in contact because he knew kw-ball was about to come in a couple of minutes. I could see him try with every touch, to get an open alternative to k-ball.

  • DanCohen

This is so sad.. get beaten by a 15-25 team that was losting 9 times straight and when ronnie price was even in the lineup…not even bledsoe was there.

  • Promo Sports World

I love the interaction of this site but sometimes it’s like no one has ever watched a basketball game beyond staring at one player

  • IsabeliJane*17

You forgot: the rest of the Hornets with the exception of Jeremy Lin didn’t even defend.

  • sport

Not forgot but Kemba just doesn’t pass nor play any D! Cliff, Hornets and Walker are doing their best Rockets and Harden impersonation while Batum is their Chandler Parsons!

  • MomentousPetey

…and do you have a degree for mind-reading?….=)

  • DanCohen

    hahaahhaahahahah

  • JoeTeam

+1 you are just too foundationally factual, it sounds like you are guessing.

  • Promo Sports World

No doubt it’s tough with Kemba especially with Kemba playing his game which isn’t efficient at the moment

The hornets really need to reevaluate things but I think it will get better with batum back

  • MomentousPetey

    =)

  • xeroid

I think Lin passed to Hawes and Zeller under the basket 3 times and they all miss the lay ups.

  • blubell
  • DanCohen

hmmm don’t want it to happend, but then if kw did seit down for soem games with lin and batum.. let’s see what happens.

  • Promo Sports World

Right … Marvin and Hairston usually do ok but tonight and the Warriors game they didn’t show up

  • Promo Sports World

    Horrible big men

  • JoeTeam

yeah I know, so then it gets tough because he tried to drive and get contact. It would have been nice to see a step back or 2 or a heat check from 3. He was too conservative on that, and paid for it with TOVs in the paint (nobody helping him there too, not even moving off ball to give him an option when the paint closed).

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia

Defense was awful for everyone in first half esp Kemba and Lamb. I screamed my top off because of these twos.

  • Promo Sports World

Anyone remember the hornets throwing any alley-ops

    Jeremy thrown any lobs

    No

No ball movement or transition baskets

  • DanCohen

    yes… jeremy to jeremy

  • sws94

    No Batum.

  • DanCohen

    yes,…. jeremy to batum.

  • IsabeliJane*17

I cheered on that Tyson Chandler alley-oop in this game.. but it’s completely inappropriate because it’s for the Suns

  • blubell

    Short

  • DanCohen

althought batum slided it in like a layup instead of a dunkabunka.

  • Promo Sports World

    You know Tyson is ready

  • JLin Fan from Australia

See nothing. Couple times I saw JLin was almost the forerunner of all of his teammates when he got the ball. No one was ahead of him. So, he had to slow down.

  • sport

It has nothing to do with D, Walker doesn’t play D either! Lamb can score so much more efficiently paired with Lin if given the proper minutes! Same with Hansbrough can play better than Zeller and Hawes but Cliff can’t see that.

  • MomentousPetey

I agree with Promo Sports World. =)

  • MomentousPetey

Fairweather fans and their knee jerk reactions…

  • JoeTeam

yeah, these convos always end up with Lin fouled, lol

  • Promo Sports World

That’s why the attack TOs don’t bother me…..he is trying to get the ball to someone in the position to score

Just wish the easy ones were there

  • JLin Fan from Australia

That’s about it! Hornets is just hopeless on this. After watching this game, I miss Chandler even more when I saw the lops!

  • sws94

I do too. Don’t know how long it’ll take. If he needs 5 games, so be it.

  • DanCohen

I don’t think it’s the ankle as much.. I mean ankle injury does take time, but if it’s that bad, he can’t play. So it’s not as bad as what some people here think it is. Even if it was a bit that bad, lin should be smart enought to just rely on his shots instead of driving in.. I mean he lost confidence in his shooting.. and also a good shooter doesn’t miss 2 ft in a row more than once. .. a ft doesn’t require the ankle. I played bball with ankle sprain and I was still able to shoot the ball… so again no excuses …and watch, someone will ban me for saying no excuses here.. I circumvented and got inagain.

It still affects a players game…fts looked good was just unlucky

  • DanCohen

you can’t read his mind..how does he knew kw-ball wsa about to come in? … they were doing fine in the first half… if kw was doing heroball in the 1st first I can see that by logical deduction that you think kw-ball will be coming in.. but they were doing fine.. in fact I was surprise lin brought the ball up and then freaking have it toed with pj.

  • DanCohen

i’m surprised hawes is in the nba.

Haha. I shall call you Mischievous Melody from now on.

I’m not saying Lin is a scrub or anything

  • JLin Fan from Australia

He was clearly fouled but didn’t get the call. Few tovs were like that. Obviously refs wanted Suns to win the game.

  • CJSHYY

I know. I think if he just took the shots would be less chance to slip… but he just tried to AS so….

  • DanCohen

refs didn’t call much fouls so that is ok.. unlike in houston or goldne state.
if harden was playing he will get like 10 points only.

  • blubell
  • blubell

I give Lamb credit for playing hurt tonight. I feel bad for him. I believe he wanted to help get the win. Tonight I excuse his defense.

  • occupatio

i went to watch a TV show at halftime. Looks like I didn’t miss much.

  • DanCohen

btw that was just now.. when I say lin should have no excuses for playing badly in the 2nd half …when he was killing it in the 1st half.

  • Acbc

Try dribbling fast and shake n bake with one good shoe and a slippery sock on. No matter how good your handles are, you’re bound to make mistake.

Sure Jeremy tried to press and made some ” boneheaded” mistakes. He made them trying to push his team to right the ship. That’s why playing hurt is so difficult. Lin pushed his body beyond a comfortable safety zone but it’s kW and team that forces Lin to have to up his bet. When your hand is empty, it becomes a bad bet! ITS THE COACHES RESPONSIBILITY TO NEVER ALLOW AN INJURE PLAYER TO PUSH TOO HARD! Firstly, it’s bad risk/reward management when an injured player is pushing too much of his own envelop and the reward is out of control play. Secondly, when a player extends beyond his physical limits, it could very easily lead to injures.

    Stop blaming Lin!

  • blubell

    What did you watch?

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOLOLOL Pretty upset with the team. Guess this might be the last “fun” I give to myself before watching more Hornets games. No point to get upset for this team.

  • occupatio

    Nirvana in Fire 瑯琊榜.
Gone through 40+ episodes already… It’s been fantastic.

  • Maknusia

hmmm…let me see if you are in the list

  • blubell

    oooo. I love historical dramas.

  • Acbc

Apparently we were watching JLinportal on fire ep. 35. Lol

  • blubell
  • occupatio

    LOL

  • JoeTeam

    ibuprofen?

  • Maknusia

    hahaha

  • blubell

When is ep. 36 coming out or is it cancelled? lol

  • Acbc

You mean star wars episode 4! BB8? Lol

  • DanCohen

    good point..that I forgot too…
but he still wasn’t thtat good when his bad was fine!! lol

  • heart

I thought of that too. I’d wish players’ uniform will have chip monitor devices in the future to prevent these kinds of missed or ignored foul calls from refs.

  • Maknusia

    in 2 days 19 hours …time 😉

  • blubell

Maybe. We’ve seen him take advil couple times before.

  • JoeTeam

ok, BB you are now officially dubbed – BB8. 30 yrs later, you can return for your tour de force handoff to the next gen lol. Now we need pics of … the hair bun, not the Jabba outfit.

  • occupatio

looking at the boxscore after checking out at halftime, i see that no one had double-digit field goal attempts except kemba. that’s pretty amazing.

also saw that lin didnt score much after the 1st half, and his 5 TOs. lin was getting bumped all over the place in the 1st half, with no calls, so i guess the TOs arent too surprising. he doesnt seem to adapt to the officiating very well by tightening it up tho.

  • sws94

That’s how he gets. Just have to get back and play better next time he plays. But Lin needs to be honest with himself about his ankle. Maybe it is best to skip Saturday’s game (Batum or no Batum) and then reevaluate.

  • sws94

He’s not that good, he’s sometimes OK.

  • JoeTeam

I saw 2 of them, switching between a family movie on Neflix and this on earphone and computer. I though JLin was fouled on those, in traffic. Really too bad because it was a good outing.

Near the end, there, I was thinking – ok, CHA might pull it out with JLin paying penance on the bench. No problem in my zen fan state.

But then I saw KW proceed to lose the game yet again. Made me mad/sad. It’s so clear to me when a team loses it, because I’m a live action sports guy and you can just feel when the team makes key moments losing moments. It’s like when people call daggers, but those are v obvious. Here, you could just see KW lose his mind control and then the game slips away through his choices, actions. The moment here was when KW took it in himself yet again. He broke free, got a wide open layup but was fouled. And 1 chance, should have been. But he bricked it and did not get the call. He ran back to set up on D, and put both hands on his knees and huffed and puffed. That was when the game was lost. Only one Offensive option left in the minutes ahead, no way he was going any differently, and he was zonked. No Lin, No Force, No win.

  • occupatio

i’ll just comment on first half, since thats all i watched. lin got a lot of plays for him, like the curl after getting an off-ball screen, with kemba passing. and lin was getting picks on the right side. he was basically stepping into batum’s role.

what is head scratching is that when roberts and lin played together, cliff did not have roberts run plays for lin. it was just like freelancing out there. seems silly already to not let lin run the offense, but if lin doesnt run the offense, at least run plays for him. oh, cliff.

  • CJSHYY

I really think the whole team didn’t have good D that’s why Sun looks like old days again today. smh! Lamb? Don’t think he had did anything wrong at all just couldn’t play. Daniel was shooting well so no need to bring Lamb back.

  • Acbc

I’m sure he’s a very savvy Asian man and knows all too well not to ever disappoint the join ladies with their tapping feet. I’m sure he’s all fidgety and running a cold sweat driving like a maniac home to post his report now. Lol

  • JoeTeam

LOL, “Uh, Jeremy I gotta go, sorry I can’t stay and talk to you some more.”

  • occupatio

yeah kemba ball in second half…nothing new.

but the defense from cody to hawes to kemba to marvin, even from first half, there were endless mistakes or poor play. too many to bother listing.

  • sws94

Kemba missed Daniels a lot. If Lin had been his normal self, Daniels scores 20 tonight. He would have looked for him.

  • JoeTeam

ah yeah, the first half was fragmented for me because the movie plot was being established :-). The 2nd half was easier because it was all action in the movie who care. But then, I wasn’t seeing good action either, then my eyes had to suffer the Lin TOVs and K-ball.

Really, CHA might have pulled it out and it would have been ok with JLin at 15 pts.

  • occupatio

so daniels was open a lot tonight?

  • JoeTeam

Yep, a couple of times it would have been nice to give TD some chance to keep the shooting heat up.

  • sws94

There were several times where he was open and Kemba decided to go 1 on 3.

  • occupatio

my guess is daniels was open at the top of the arc, and not in corner on the same side as kemba.

kemba can only see the teammate in the corner on his side of the court.

  • sws94

I think the arc but he was wide open. Kemba wasn’t looking at anything other than the basket. Didn’t make the shots either.

  • occupatio

kemba prolly thinks he is much better than all his teammates to consistently not trust them. its not just that he has tunnel vision.

  • Briiick

I guess KW’s All Star vote count embarrassed the one who offered him the new contract. So they wanted to pad his stats in those projected losing games. Too bad, losing has its own momentum.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I have enough to watch Kemba’s ballhogs & heroball attempts that have caused the game repeatedly. Guess I won’t watch much Hornets games from now on unless drastic events happen.

  • JoeTeam

Since BF1 has been dismantled, and KW seems to think he’s a Force of One, let’s BF1.

  • tom

    Charlotte basketball is getting boring
    Need Batum back
    Need more variety in offence

Still waiting for @psalm for his report:-) Too much fun and forget about us???!!!!!!! hehehehehehe

Jeremy Lin Benched In Crunch Time, Hornets Lose Fifth In A Row
    http://www.morningnewsusa.com/jeremy-lin-benched-crunch-time-hornets-lose-fifth-row-2351689.html

  • occupatio

u speak of variety, but i think we have seen all there is to see for the rest of the season.

unless u think the curiously long benching of kemba in the 2nd quarter means something. given the 2nd half, doesnt seem to mean anything.

  • JoeTeam

I marvel at how the announcers butter him up and I just think it has to be in their broadcasting contracts to promote viewership no matter how wrong they are about the sport of winning bball.

  • occupatio

yeah its obnoxious to hear. i am tempted to do as ‘heart’ does and just watch the opponent’s feed.
i guess charlotte announcers know their audience. the long term audience is there for the kemba circus.

  • occupatio

so if lin was yanked in closing time, who took his place?

  • Briiick

Yes. Cliff must be following Lin’s score very closely in order to kill Linsanity at the right time before KW’s spotlight gets stolen.

  • JoeTeam

    they said PJ.

If you look at that vid in the article, I though he should have gotten And1 on it. That’s what was happening 2nd half … contact, no calls. 2 TOVs on that IIRC. I could have been biased.

  • CJSHYY

    I think it’s Daniels.

  • Briiick

    KW is a monkey wrench.

  • JoeTeam

I like Stephanie and Dell, but any complements on KW when he’s exactly killing the team play baffles me. I mean, the beautiful game is all about winning with force, like how SAS do it gently or GSW does it explosively. It is Force at Will, and teams like that are amazing to inspire us.

  • occupatio

cliff put in daniels but didnt get daniels shots. makes perfect sense.

  • JoeTeam

ah Briiick, I say away from that animal word because there used to be a term for IT guys called wire monkeys. I used it with a guy once just for camaraderie, and it was pretty embarrassing when his face turned pale. Safer to avoid animal labels no knock on you, just me. But I have no problem calling my boyz dooogs.

  • CJSHYY

The end of game always Kemba, Batum then Lin. Since today no Batum & Lin. Of course Kemba.

  • heart

Cliff needs to remind KW that Daniels is a 3ptr specialist. In previous games too, Daniels didn’t even get touches until late. Shooters need rhythm and KW has to get Daniels in rhythm when he sees him on the floor. That’s what PG does.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Not really I got pretty angry with Kemba defense for the first qtr. He not only didn’t defend his man but also ran away from defense when he saw a player came to his way. I just can’t understand why Cliff or any Hornets coach can’t see his non-existence defense. When I had enough to see his defense, I also had to watch Lamb’s defense. Yeah he hurt his wrist but his legs weren’t hurting… Worst of all, I had to watch Roberts and then Kemba tunnel vision ballhog balls and how the game was lost repeatedly and the “clueless,” stubborn Cliff of why the game was lost repeatedly.

  • blubell
  • JoeTeam

JLin, Portland, Playoffs, extracted a loose ball and found Daniels while falling down for the 3 buzzer beater to Win!!! Yeah.

  • Acbc

I read kW is F off 1, lol

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Thank God that I seldom had to listen to Hornets announcers when I watched games. Otherwise, it will drive me crazier than this.

  • JoeTeam

You are definitely getting a refined taste in bball to call these out. Me – I just ignore the other players and focus on Lin’s D. On O, if KW has the ball, I watch JLin’s off ball movement. If Lin has the ball, I try to put my brain in his point of view to see what he’s trying. It gets me through it ha ha.

  • heart

That how Daniels was discovered. Lin helped him became famous on that winning play.

  • JoeTeam

They are for the most part good, except the KW buttering part.

  • occupatio

so, that long benching of kemba in the 2nd quarter. at first i wondered if it was because of his lack of defensive effort. but now that i know that cliff put on the kemba circus for second half, cliff’s rotations remind me of mchale.

mchale, when he wasnt sure what to do, which was a lot of the time, would just start putting in random new players to see what would happen. pray that someone has a hot hand. pray that it will magically work out somehow.

daniels in the houston playoffs was exactly this. daniels barely saw the court during the regular season but was just thrown in there.

  • blubell
  • Acbc

Lol, he heard the angry tapping from around the world in melody.

  • JoeTeam

    LMF1O.

  • JoeTeam

And I wanna see more like that tonight and more … every team needs someone like Novak on NYK or KT (KT does a lot more). CHA definitely need a reliable 3pt shooter.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I have given up on Kemba for a long while now. He can’t “see” any players but himself. He is definitely not a PG.

  • CJSHYY

I feel the same way… I thought Cliff finally bench Kemba…. ? No, bc in 2nd half all his ISO show again. smh!

  • JoeTeam

I loved it tonight when JLin was waiving his arms to set up the O even when Kemba was bringing it down.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Somehow Cliff isn’t a good HC. He doesn’t seem to see his players that way. That’s why I miss those games that JLin was allowed to play pg and used his strengths to help other players. JLin is definitely in teamball mentality. Cliff only talked about it but not practiced it. Kemba has no teamball mind at all.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOLOL I did that in the past but for whatever reasons, I wasn’t focused on JLin this game but on the game itself. That’s why I’ve got very very very upset:-( I even watched Suns players and how they played. Guess my past player instinct came to play in this game:-) This frustrated me even more than last season:-(

  • JoeTeam

only way out is to take a few days off and be a box score fan lol.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Two persons that I can’t stand are Cliff and Kemba. So, it’s all good that I don’t have to listen to Hornets announcers.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

LOLOLOLOLOLOL Just want to hear some good news from @psalm so that I can get this irritation from watching this game out:-)

  • Briiick

Cliff is just as clueless if not worse as McHale in offense. Now even Cliff’s defense is looking more and more like McHale’s because he is allowing KW to ruin almost every player’s interest in doing it.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Don’t worry I won’t have much time to watch games anyhow for the rest of season. This maybe the last game that I can watch live:-)

  • ok, I’m back 🙂

  • JoeTeam

ha ha people hear are stomping their feet!

  • Maknusia

    he must have heard it!!!!

  • JLin Fan from Australia

By watching this game, I feel like Cliff is the combination of worse KM and BS. The only good thing that he hasn’t done thus far is throwing players under the bus.

  • well, the Q&A just finished then I had to drive home 35 min 🙂

Let me give a brief overview then publish a new postgame article with high-level summary.
It’s hard for me to do game analysis since I sat behind the rim but I got a lot of good pics
(I’ll upload the bulk of them tomorrow)

  • JoeTeam

man I had to stop listening. I respect PFV, but this one doesn’t put the way CHA are playing and why Jeremy pushed it in context. We really have to start thinking about a new phase in Lin Fandom now. With the chance set for Jlin blocked off, are people who are die hard lin fans going to talk about things to go with the flow, or still stand up for the facts?

For example, in the Rox years, so many went online to prove stats for JLin, because of the media anti-drive.

For me for now, JLin is not going to be able to do his game except in spots. Someone here said Rox days were better – I think so, except for the anti-Lin media and PR. BBall-wise, Rox was better bball for JLin.

Anyway, I disagree with PFV here and turned it off – JLin had to make a hard move to get the team caught up, because they were losing contact and the game was heading to KW ISO time. He failed, but his reason for pushing it hard was obvious to me. So why not talk about it? it played out just as we all know it would, so why wouldn’t JLin try to bust a move for the team with about 10 mins left, or 6? Else, just accept a loss. That’s not a pro athlete, and that’s not Lin, and that’s not us. You try and you fail sometimes. Too bad CHA is a team where you have to game around your own team mate too, almost doing the rain dance in case it rains (that is, you don’t know when KW will play team ball so you try all kinds of strategies to get that out of him. That, btw, is now superstitions are developed, when you are working with things or people outside of your control and sometimes, they give you a positive hope. That’s why people do rain dances, because it does rain some days when you dance.).

  • But let me tell you first how nice JLin was.

    1. He went 15-20 min doing Q&A with prepared questions because he had to leave quickly.
The team bus has left to the airport and he said to the Suns attendant it’s okay since he’ll take an Uber (taxi).
So he didn’t want to let his teammates & coaches wait for him but he wanted to give the time for his fans.

    2. I got to present the check (no time for live Questions this time) and I told him, “This is the 2nd time your fans did this fundraising for you”.
JLin said, “I know =) Thank you for doing so” and he was very appreciative of everything that we do for him.
He knew his fans gave him huge support. He also thanked a lot of his fans who turned up for the Q&A late although many would have to go to work tomorrow.

  • JoeTeam

20 up votes if I can.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I haven’t listened to many PFV vids this season. Glad to know this is another vid that I shouldn’t listen to. Otherwise I will go over the board:-)

  • sws94

Someone on twitter said Dell Curry said the team needs to make more shots for Lin. Anyone hear that?

  • CJSHYY

Maybe bc they lose today’s game or what? Hornets should wait for him… smh! Rox or Lakers all wait for him….

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • sws94

    Bill Mcintyre tweeted this.

  • CJSHYY

I was watching Sun feed so don’t know…

  • it’s okay, I think in the past the bus had to wait for JLin and his many fans so I think JLin didn’t want to make his teammates/coach upset for waiting too long for him. Last year they finished at 11pm so it’s very wise of him to do so. Nice gesture by Lin. That’s why his teammates love him

  • IsabeliJane*17

I think it’s more considerate that he let the team bus leave without him. After all, that was his fan event. No need for the rest of the team to numb their butts sitting and waiting for him to join them in the bus.

  • JoeTeam

It was first KW excuse making by saying CHA didn’t come out seriously and fell behind. Then said PHX hit too many 3s. To me that’s all an excuse because CHA had a chance to win and KW ISO lost it. It’s not just the ISO, it’s the whole moment when you can just see, almost like a thick fog, when the game is lost, and it is because KW cannot win a close game as PG because he just doesn’t have it.

I turned it off when PFV was talking about how Jeremy pushed it too hard. To me, if it is me, I am watching the spread in scores, the clock running down, and thinking – ok, at about 5 mins, KW is going to take over and we will lose. So, I’m glad JLin tried to make it happened, to get the team to work with different offensive options. He failed, but making it a bad choice by JLin to me is not talking about the context of what JLin is (and I am) experiencing over and over. Hence, no PFV soup for me tonight lol.

  • JoeTeam

    super dude!

  • occupatio

i cant say i learned anything about this game after listening to about 2/3rds of PFV’s video.

i agree with joe it doesnt add any extra context or detail to the game.

also, i dont like the explanation about ‘doing too much’. its true but in a facile way. if a possession isnt successful, isnt it by definition, the player doing too much? the explanation doesnt explain anything.

and, the business about kemba getting separation due to his athleticism, he actually doesnt get consistent separation without screens. no one in the league gets consistent separation in the half court without screens. so to talk about what is happening, u have to talk about the offensive scheme, and the team roles. its not purely an athleticism thing at all as PFV implies.

  • absolutely. although I’m not sure if the bus has left or not.
But he was willing to take an Uber. Very considerate indeed

  • CJSHYY

Someone said they live in phoenix today so I guess that’s why Lin didn’t want his teammates & coaches to wait for him bc it’s very tired after the game.

  • JoeTeam

Thank you sir, I respect your opinion. You are the x’s and o’s guy this year for me ha ha.

  • Acbc

I remember last year when the rift began to show in LA. Boozer, young and Ed paid the price with benchings. Last game felt the same at the end when a crack appeared and players started to revolt against their star. I wonder if tonight is yet another bigger wedge into the leadership of kW. Guys know who can play and lead for you instead using you to make them stars. Kemba is losing his team because of his selfishness and when humpty dumpy finally falls and breaks, no one can put it back together again.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

You are right. I saw this news as well.

  • you mean they stay in Phoenix today & leave for LA Clippers tomorrow?

  • blubell
  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • CJSHYY

Ya! That’s why they could leave early bc it’s to hotel for rest.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes, I believe so. Believe it was tweeted by one of the reporters or from Hornets site.

  • heart

Didn’t listen but had Guessed it right in my mind before you said it. When I was listening to him before he was going on about Lin playing too fast or something and I thought did I hear it right… His reads and ours seem to be different now on Lin’s perspective IMO.

  • Guest

If you actually watched the 2nd half then you know why PFV said that. You know PFV is never going say anything bad about Lin’s teammates but I thought he was right about the Lin’s game tonight. It’s just what he said was not what most Lin fans want to hear.

  • JoeTeam

You are totally right – every player on that court knows deeply how dysfunction KW is while getting his own. And, no one has faith they can close out winnable games because it’s been many games that KW has taken on his back and failed.

Fans who have never played competitive sports can take heart in knowing that the locker room can turn against a coach or a player based on the truth. You can only suffer benchings so long before people just decide it’s not a team anymore, and then you really lose but at least the players can be free to be true to themselves.

  • CJSHYY

LA Hotel is more expensive than Phoenix. LOL!

  • Acbc

I’ve stopped since 1.5 months into LA last year when it was obvious he was a closet Kobe fan.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

The reason was given was about jetlag/rest from my memory. Less toil of the body for traveling late. Better for them to have good rest and then travel tomorrow for the Clippers game, won’t happen for another 3 days anyway.

  • occupatio

PFV’s criticism of lin in the 4th quarter is fine. i dont take issue with that. thats not my pt.

let me put it this way: dramond green was asked recently if he is a ‘system player’ and green replied that everyone in the league is a system player. no one is freelancing out there.

in other words, if we are going to analyze lin’s play, it has to put in the context of the hornets ‘system’. if you dont talk about that, theres very little to say except from the usual grab bag.

the hornets ‘system’ is broken. PFV doesnt address this at all.

  • Acbc

I just had to add you in there, lol

  • Briiick

Teammates don’t work hard on defense no matter how hard Cliff cries because they are not rewarded with shots. KW takes 20+ shots per game in this losing streak LOL.

  • Spot

Another game in Phoenix, another L. Psalm’s effect strikes again! 😀

Jokes apart it’s safe to say if Kemba is on court Hornets will not go to the play-off.

  • JoeTeam

I have always enjoyed listening to PFV when it was so unfair on JLin at Rox. But after that, it’s not a lot of value add because just like Coach Nick, people who do this day in day out get tired, and they have to please a lot of people. I’m ok with what PFV says most all the time, but I just disagree with his assessment of JLin trying to hard tonight. I see it as no choice, because JLin is working with reality here. With anywhere from 5 to 4 mins left in the game, KW is going to take the team on his back, in a bad way, so the game really is decided well before the end. JLin has the Harden years to prove it, and also the Kobe shoot them to a loss experience. His clock is not the game clock, so we all know UCONN JLin will try.

I prefer JLin tries and fails, rather than just stand in the corner for the last 8 minutes.

I’m happy to read what you wrote too.

Was JLin doing too much in 2nd half??? I disagreed. I felt that he should do more. He was clearly fouled and not received the calls. Hence, the tovs. Yep, he should stop doing it. YOU DON’T NEED TO WORRY. Cliff took him out and benched it for the rest of the game anyway and let Kemba be the losing streak heroball. Anyday I would rather watch JLin’s teamball. If you trust him enough and don’t take him out, he will calm down and lead the team for the win. How many games do we watch the games were loss because of Kemba/Cliff???? Take your count. He couldn’t bring any wins. He just doesn’t know how to win the games. If no drastic change between Cliff and Kemba, losing streak will continue to no end.

  • heart

Where? Is Psalm the one holding the check w/Jeremy?

  • Guest

You are right about the Hornet’s team issues. I was only saying that PFV was not entirely wrong about “Lin’s game” tonight. Kemba should definitely have more trust in his teammates and the bigs were awful tonight.

Yup, front and center with Jeremy 🙂

  • Maknusia

    hmmm soup turned in pie….

Yep. I chose not to listen when I watched JLin game and know where PFV will end up with his analysis. I will definitely disagree with him in this issue. So, don’t bother this time.

ah, that soup is so hard to make. With pepper of course.

I also love red vinegar in my corn-chicken-egg flower soup. Yummy.

I learned from a Pakistani guy to always put hot tobasco sauce in white clam chowder. Wow, that with black pepper.

  • heart

Thanks. He looks happy and kind.

  • Maknusia

    black or white..pepper

  • JoeTeam

ah, you and he need to stay buds 🙂 He’s a good egg and so are you!

    Yum yum for that:-)

I think I need my midnight snack while waiting around for psalm.

  • JoeTeam

white in all Chinese soups except for hot and sour. Black for hot and sour, dunno how we get our habits. You?

  • Maknusia

oh ya…@psalm234:disqus waiting for your in depth analysis and game view report….no high levels, please

  • IsabeliJane*17

Oh yeah @psalm234:disqus! You’re buddies with Jeremy now!

  • JoeTeam

I was fine with JLin sitting for penalty after going too fast and failing, but like another poster here, I would have loved for that to be 2 mins then back in to help win the game. Didn’t happen, so I was ok if CHA won without Lin. Then KW took over and it was ova! that’s all she wrote.

  • Acbc

It reminds me of how during Linsanity, every team Lin played against wanted a piece of him. The level of play from opponents was much higher than usual, IMO. When I looked at how badly the Suns have played and who was injured, I was already a little worried. Guys that have been sitting on the sideline all of a sudden gets to shine WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS. That’s a recipe for a very dangerous opponent. They came out hot and played with intensity.

The Hornets FO and Cliffrod have a very serious problem now. Injuries aside, there’s some serious doubt in the minds of the players and everyone is asking why should I play my guts out while someone else reaps the rewards!

  • Maknusia

    lol…infact i didnt know there was a white pepper…til I moved to Asia…nowadays I’m accustomed to white

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Few games ago I have already said the same. Unless drastic events happen, Hornets won’t be able to go to playoffs with Cliff as HC and Kemba as PG.

  • JoeTeam

and as he reaps them personally, he is the reason why we lose every time because you know, these players know they are open or what plays KW has missed on the court. We can only guess, but they are in the flow and know exactly when KW is not passing to whom.

  • Briiick

Give a fat contract to a sub .40 chucker and extend the contract of a coach who has been taking good care of the chucker, LOL.

  • MomentousPetey

    Thats exactly it man!

  • JoeTeam

white is fine and the taste gets into the soup more. I think because hot and sour is so rich in taste, black pepper has more body so you can get an aftertaste if you chew it. White pepper in hot and sour would just get mixed with the hot vinegar initial taste. Over analyzing I know …

  • heart

When I heard Suns commentators said tonight that you want KW to go “one on one”, the alarm went off in my head that even the Suns knew and they had guts to say it…

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Of course players know. They are pros. As for me I only played bb when I was in high school in a small town that knew nothing about NBA then know about this, obviously players know. Only Kemba receives the reward. Why bother?????!!!!!

Give more credit to JLin for continuing to do his best on his part.

  • sws94

Cliff sat Lin because Lin was out of sync. My guess. And Cliff knows Lin isn’t right physically. It’s not that big a deal.

Paul’s analysis are objective. He detaches himself properly and tries to look at Lin as a basketball player and what he needs to do to keep getting better. For some reason, Lin had a great scoring 1st quarter and didn’t do well the rest of the game. It isn’t all on anyone else either. Some of it may be due to circumstances and others for sure, but not all of it. Jeremy makes bad decisions or plays out of control, he does. It’s who he is sometimes, Paul is right to point it out. He’s not trashing Jeremy, he’s just saying what he sees and I find him very clear in his view of assessing Jeremy’s game and progress.

And Kemba has some athletic advantages over Lin. Lin has some over Kemba. That’s the way it is. He didn’t say Kemba was better but Kemba is better at some things than Lin is.

  • JoeTeam

Yep, scouting and announcers are experienced scouts too. If you get an ISO chucker player in his game, you guarantee easier stops. So yeah, and then I’m just wondering why CHA doesn’t react. I guess the injuries excuse can carry them about 3 weeks, but after that, someone has to start doing their job.

  • JoeTeam

ha, you’ve been sandbagging, you really know your x’s and o’s. 🙂

  • bolero
  • Briiick

There is one thing I keep doing everyday: I vote for the winner Lin, not any stat padding chucker.

  • sws94

Paul just a Lin analysis, not what’s wrong with the team he’s on analysis. Being that the team is what it is, how did Lin do in the team concept. That’s how he does his videos.

  • Briiick

    With his injured ankle.

  • JoeTeam

    I want my And1

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Hornets/Cliff will continue to bury their head under the sand even long after JLin leaves the team/org.

  • heart

With Batum returning, pray that Hornets will turn the L upside down as a 7 Lin for the Win in the next few games. Hopefully, Lin’s ankle should also be better and healed by then.

  • Maknusia

thats a name calling and you had been doing multiple times…yes he do take indiscriminate shots but repeatedly calling KW a chucker is not within forum rules

  • JoeTeam

Pray for a place for JLin’s style of play. GSW have it but don’t need Lin. The league needs more teams that have that kind of play, so the fans get more what they want. What works against that are box scores and fantasy leagues that pay big bucks. Like Washington lobbying, the money flow in that 2nd game around fantasy points will divide fans. Beautiful game or fantasy computer games? Many fans are gambling in fantasy, so this is a very strong force to stop the beautiful game. Here’s to hope … because the beautiful game inspires us all, esp kids.

  • ok, got it.. makes sense

  • John Focker

A “volume shooter” by any other name. 🙂

  • Briiick

I really don’t think your judgment fits very well here.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

I know. After Hornets, I’m losing hope that JLin will be able to go to a team (coach and key players) that has the heart and knows how and wants to play teamball. Hope and pray that MDA and JLin will be reunion soon and that MDA is the head coach that allows to play his strengths. JLin is definitely a more rounded and much improved player. He only needs a coach/org that will trust him to do his tasks.

  • Maknusia

yup and he is getting there…he didnt take that much of a shot beginning of the season but slowly, he is getting to his usual self as previous season. Coach need to make those adjustments on his play

They’re pushing Kemba hard for the ASG. You can only pray Kemba’s shots go in.

  • JoeTeam

JLinFFOz … have faith and hope sister. Life is as you’ve shared with ups and downs, and JLin is just showing us his style of embracing life. It’s bball, but more than that, a young man’s journey. We all want to find meaning. It’s good to be a fan and discover his meaning and journey. Even if he isn’t a PG on a team, no big deal. But the sad part is, his fan community will fade and then what? We can be inspired by a few more Star Wars, a few great books, poetry, etc. We will find meaning, and JLin is a-ok he will probably keep us enthralled in whatever the pursues.

  • james brown

stopped listening to him because his assessments were always off now. better day are when he dugged up many problems and explained its repercussion..

I know he means well .

  • John Focker

Prior to the Lakers game, Kemba only had three games with 20+ FGA (vs. NY 21, vs. SAC 23-OT, vs. TOR 24-OT).

However, starting from and including the Lakers game, he averaged 22.3 FGA in the last six (25,19,21,24,21,24), and Hornets with a 1-5 record in the meantime.

Briiick’s comment is hardly uncalled for.

  • CJSHYY

They back to their old style like last season no wonder their record it’s the same like last season… smh!

  • heart

True. When Lin’s ankle gets healed, even w/hard fouls, he can control his feet better w/o falling and making TOs. Hopefully, then he can play in crunch time to get wins.

  • heart

Yep. That’s why coaching is important. Culture and mindset begin at the top.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Thanks for the reminder. Yes it’s true that JLin’s journey continues to inspire me. His walk with Christ in such a corrupted NBA world always reminds me for what I need to focus on. I will continue to follow his journey but don’t mean that I can stomach to witness how he is being treated. So, it’s good that I can’t watch that many live game anymore:-) I will continue to watch highlights and/or archive games/quarters when he plays well.

  • John Focker

Batum’s return to the Hornets’ lineup would mean little if Kemba keeps doing what he’s doing. I suspect that Batum himself is upset with Kembaball and is doubtful to return next season.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • JoeTeam

Yeah, and yet, he’s got a great life. NBA also, it is the best show in sports now because of the team play of GSW and SAS, others. I mean, we don’t have Soccer, Aussie Rules Footy, and Rugby here. So NBA is actually a pretty good game these years because of Steph, TDuncan and others. Take the 100k ft view and have joy from the good! Yes, ignore the mud in the trenches 🙂

I like Hawes there to box out defender so Lin had space to shoot.

  • ok, I finished writing my game observation & my epiphany about JLin after watching the game

    http://www.jlinportal.com/scorching-suns-burned-the-hornets-111-102-my-epiphany-on-jlin/

Scorching Suns Burned the Hornets 111-102, My Epiphany on JLin

I was afraid this scenario would happen. After losing 9 straight games and embarrassingly only scored 22 pts in the 1st half of the last loss against the Lakers, the Suns came out hot shooting (unbelievably hot 57.6% 3pt shooting, 19-33) determined to win. I was watching the game in person behind the basketball rim so I couldn’t see all floor enough to make good analysis of plays but I was able to observe the change of momentums in the building.

Here is a high-level summary of the game:
    1st HALF

    – Jeremy had a quick start to score 13pts in the 1st quarter as he was able to drive to the rim at will
    – As Kemba rested at the bench with 3:21 left, JLin seemed to be in command having the ball in his hands as he scored 6pts
    – But the Suns has been hot from 3-point land. At half-time, the Suns shot an unbelievable 62% 3FG. The Hornets were not doing too bad with 42% but this was why the Suns led 8pts at 60-52.
    – The Hornets big men just couldn’t finish in the paint as Hawes missed easy layup (0-5 shooting, 0 pts) and Frank just couldn’t seem to finish (1-8, 3pts). The unreliable big men of Hornets have become a glaring weakness for this team
    – The bench performance was horrible

    2nd HALF
    – The Hornets fought an uphill battle trying to chip in the lead to 5 pts (71-76) with 4:37 left in the 3rd quarter when JLin rested. JLin uncharacteristically missed 2 FTs but made a tough shot afterwards. He was playing OK with an assist but a TO. I thought Coach Clifford wanted to give more rest to JLin at this point.
    – The Hornets made a run to take over the lead with 80-78 with 1:34 left but the momentum shifted when Frank made a bad TurnOverlosing the ball while doing a spin-move to dribble. It was really a bad unforced error. The Suns regained the momentum with 2 threes to retake the lead 86-85. It took the air of the Hornets as they thought they had taken the lead.
    – In the 4th quarter, the Suns made a quick 14-8 run with hot 3pt shooting ( 4 3pt shots) to extend the lead to 102-93. Frank missed 2 shots, JLin had 2 TOs, Hairston missed a 3 in this stretch. I couldn’t see the offense on the opposite half-court so I’m not sure what happened there
    – Zeller and Marvin Williams came in for JLin and Frank with 7:24 left.
    – Then each team scored 9-9 after the Suns timeout at 102-93 to finish the game at 111-102. The Hornets just couldn’t mount enough offense or defense to stop the Suns from scoring or making 3s. The offense looked disorganized with only Kemba dribble-drive, Marvin Williams post-up or Troy Daniels 3pt shots. It’s very hard to get wide-open shots.

    Conclusion
    – I believe Coach Clifford went with the lineup that he thought gave the best momentum to try to catch up for the Suns. With ineffective big men in Frank and Hawes, it’s hard to finish strong inside. This is when Al Jefferson’s presence is being missed so much. I believe the Hornets would win this game with a healthy Al Jefferson inside.
    – It’s hard to beat a team when they shot 57.6% or 19-33 from 3pt-land. And the Hornets just couldn’t bother a determined Suns team tonight.
    – JLin looked excellent in the 1st quarter with the ball in his hands but I don’t know what happened in the 2nd half when he didn’t have the ball in his hands. Some TOs, uncharacteristic 2 missed FTs. I came away with a realization that Jeremy Lin needs to find his rhythm by having the ball in his hands. Yes, he can be a good off-the-ball shooting guard but that’s not his strength and it does affect his shooting rhythm and even organizing offense on some nights.

I will say this. I have an EPIPHANY after watching this game: Jeremy Lin needs to be the main ball-handler in his next team at all cost. Otherwise, he looks very ordinary when his shooting doesn’t fall. JLin is a rhythm player and his shooting and offensive efficiency is very much affected by him dribbling the ball and being involved in the offense. That’s who he is and there’s nothing wrong with that. Linsanity happened that way with the ball in his hands. Who cares if he can’t be great by not handling the ball like Steve Nash did in the Lakers with Kobe as the main ball-handler? Players thrive because of their strength in the NBA. And there’s nothing wrong with leveraging one player’s strength when choosing a team or a coach.

I will post more details on the Q & A session tomorrow. Perhaps add videos and pictures in the next 1-2 days as they take time to process.

    wow:

    1. 3 TOVs in slo mo, you decide. On that last one, I see it that the ball got through and Lin’s wrist was held (can’t see from this angle, but the ball was through under control so why would he let it zip out unless his hand was impeded?)

    2. Saw at least 3 other non-calls, just on these Lin possessions. (and 1 after the great handles (thx TTNN for saying so), chest in face, and one the non-offense foul that he took).

    3. The KW non-call and brick near the end there – I thought KW was could, but actually, he held the defender. He gets no soup tonight.

    4. did not think his 2nd foul was a foul.

    Thanks for Jun Liu.

  • John Focker

Different scenarios. Jeremy is not soft (survived Houston much better than Ty Lawson, and not to mention endured BS) while Kemba does indeed volume shoot.

Key is whether the name is fact-based. But point conceded, while volume-shooter and chucker are BOTH factual, the former lacks the derogatory nature of the latter.

  • JoeTeam

A chucker is a common term for a guy who takes volume shots at the expense of teammates, the game, and the possibility of winning, for his own stats.

To me, Mak, and I appreciate your Mod work as it is hard, chucker falls into it like a gunner or soft inside (a big who is soft).

I have always through people get away with BS here a lot, and I try to use BSc. So, chucker to me is not in that realm, because it describes a player who tends to do the above and it can be verified with stats. To me, it’s like describing an elite player, on the positive side. There is a subjective part, but it does describe basketball play.

Another idea is people called Delly a dirty player during the playoffs last year. Is Dirty bad? He’s definitely a scrapper, but he also did some questionable plays that got him that label.

  • Maknusia

probably I didnt spell it write…i’m not against calling KW a volume shooter or a chucker.

    examples:-
    1) KW is a not a NBA starting PG
    2) That chucker is not a NBA starting PG

hope you get where I’m coming from.
I’m ok for first sentence but the second sentence is definitely a derogatory

  • JoeTeam

You are right in the tone, yes. Good work, and anyway, it’s a discussion ‘you Lin?’ so we just evolve thank you.

  • JJ Hui

Psalm, did you have a chance to ask Lin if his ankle ok?

  • JJ Hui

Psalm, did you ask Lin if his ankle ok n healed?

That means it’s not 100% yet IMO

    I Lin! 😉

  • your son’s voltaire

sure, they’re both name calling. just saying though, there is a huge difference between Lin being called “soft” versus kemba being “a chucker”. one is false, while the other is true. so, it was a bad example because it’s indirectly supporting the false idea that Lin is soft which is totally opposite. i hope this site doesn’t support such ideas

  • Acbc

Please, Batum is worst than Lin with TOs. He had 9 one game for almost a 3D.

  • Acbc

I’ve heard this story forever from him. He is always complaining about it like it happened yesterday.

  • DanCohen

No, I just got banned yesterday Abc..for saying lin should not have an excuse.. if his ankle hurts, he should know how to adapt if he wants to be an all-star which is what we want him to be (else why are we bother watching him if he doesn’t have potential to be all-star).

  • DanCohen

I should be.. it was yesterday.

  • JJ Hui

    Thanks Psalm! 🙂

  • Phillycheese

    Theyre all chinese fans.

  • heart

Briiick heard and posted the same wording. See his post above mine and LinMad responded to his post.

  • adele

Yes, the first quarter Lin dominated. But then I don’t who is insecure when Lin get his stats. Kemba? FO? MJ? Cliff? Because after that, Kemba has to make all the shooting because Lin only made 9 attempts.

  • adele

Missing the playoffs and losing Lin’s trust. I guess Lin knows the kind of coach he is and the kind of organization he is in right now. It might not be as toxic as Rockets and lakers but if the team is losing, a lot of negative vibes will happen.

  • heart

You know what concerns me is that some Lin fans w/o bb knowledge will take his word to heart. I think it’s also disheartening to know Lin Team may have to listen PFV’s analysis. Lin just needs to block out the negativity. He knows what he has to work on. It’s hard enough on him to battle against the general media perception already…

  • JoeTeam

Yes, to me the discussion on the vid ignored the context of why JLin would try to hard and it is very rational to try so hard when CHA have lost so many games to KW’s end-game. That shows me he didn’t give up, and I loved it when he pushed it. You fail sometimes because the team just isn’t going to react on a dime, and that is the challenge of a live-action sport instead of baseball or American football, where you only get that in micro-moments on broken plays.

  • tom

    He can still help

  • Rick Johnson

Roberts was playing SG or SF or something when Kemba was in. Kemba was PG. But Roberts and Lamb were also playing.
