G34 CHA @GSW Game Thread

Despite not having 100% healthy ankle, JLin started in place of injured Batum and finished admirably with 15Pts?4Ast?1Reb?1Stl?1Blk in 34 min. But the Hornets lost 90-109 against a tough, physical OKC team with a lot of shot-blockers (15 blocks for OKC vs 7 for CHA)

  • Will JLin play against GSW to begin the 4 game road-trip to the West? (GSW, Suns, Clippers, Nuggets). Curry also might not play so the Hornets have a greater chance to win

Let’s go, Hornets!

Guess JLin's stats in Game 34 vs GSW
  • Brent Yen

    1st….hehehe

  • The king took back his throne =)

  • occupatio

after Jarrett Jack’s ACL and meniscus injury, the PG rotation for the Nets is now Shane Larkin and Donald Sloan.

I don’t even know who these two guys are. haha

  • JoeTeam

high lurk factor to get this nailed, ha ha!

  • I remember Shane Larkin is supposed to be the 2nd coming of JJ Barea.
    idk who Donald Sloan is.

JLin is going to be a hot commodity next off-season =)

  • tom

    Oh god
Jack is a back up level PG Larkin is one level below and sloan is another level below that…

  • JoeTeam

JLin and Hawes with the w/ sign = “Will Play!” jk.

  • 1mtoldman

u dont have 2 feel bad about that. almost no one does. btw notice by this time of the season all the players who are out for long periods of time with injuries.

  • ICYMI JLin new handshake as starters & exchanging low-fives with the Thunder players

  • Maknusia

    Hey Folks…I’m back 🙂

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year….hope everyone enjoyed their holidays/break…cheers

  • Dorothy

    welcome back. Happy New Year

  • Maknusia

Thanks Dorothy…same to you and your family….may 2016 bring us joy and peace

  • occupatio

    whos this magnusia dude? haha

  • Maknusia

SCurry had said it wisely….if one is injured, he should rest and recovery fully before coming back, else chances of re-injuring is high. Hope Lin has a speedy recovery else rest

  • Maknusia

your magma! 🙂 lol cheers mate…nice to be back

  • Belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, too!
Hope you’re still spending time with family & loved ones

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Finally you are back:-) Wonder where you have been to:-)

  • JLin Fan from Australia

WOW! You only check in for the first:-)

  • occupatio

    =)

  • kauaiblue

Welcome back! where u been? Happy New Year!

  • Yascar

Are any of you watching the Lakers-Suns game? Suns are shooting below 20% and score is 40-16 Lakers!! I really want them to lose lol.

  • Phillycheese

Kemba on Livingston will be funny. Shaun has 6 inches on little Kemba. Lin on Thompson will not be fun either.

  • Maknusia

lol…looking at boxscore…it seem Suns couldnt hit the basket…and LAL are leading even with their bad shooting percentage…

  • Maknusia

Wonder who’s assignment it will be, if Lin skips this game

  • Ouch 43-22 half-time score

Now I’m concerned JLin won’t play much on Jan 6 game vs the Suns if it’s a blowout game :]

  • CJSHYY

    Lamb

  • JoeTeam

I’m liking Livingston’s post and midrange these days. It’s v nice to read about him because of his struggle to come back from that clips leg break. He’s been so quiet about it.

  • JoeTeam

lamb chops tomorrow then … with no Lin.

  • JoeTeam

    nice to see you.

  • Acbc

Lol, he takes care of our stomach upset from the trolls.

  • CJSHYY

Can’t believe Sun plays so bad….? Even Lakers looks good vs Sun now? smh!

  • TTNN

91-77 now with 1:31 left 4Q. Hopefully they are not going to fire the coach these two days, so keep this sun till Wed for Hornets. Hornets needs that W badly.

  • DX

Batum out? Lin out? Lin start again?

    https://twitter.com/HornetsPR/status/683804578584727552

  • I’m hoping so. If the players give up on the coach, I’m afraid he’ll get fired soon.

I just checked the Suns got 9-game losing streak!
Hopefully Hornacek will still coach for the Hornets game

  • Maknusia

Happy New year, mate….I should change my name to Tagamet? lol

  • tom

    Lin still questionable!/ jesus

  • Maknusia

Double Ouch….isnt that @khuang ‘s team? need to check with him…whats happening?

  • tom

Thats not a compliment lol 2nd coming of brea

  • DX

It seems Lin wasn’t 100% recovered when played last game.

  • Phoenix Suns owner blames ‘millennial culture’ for the team’s woes (currently 9-game losing streak)
I’m afraid the Coach will get fired soon before the Hornets game on Jan 6.

Speculation that Brian Shaw might be the next coach.

    https://twitter.com/sn_nba/status/683875275252187136

    https://twitter.com/AdiJoseph/status/683875611190935552

  • tom

    hope he plays tomorrow
most likely a blow out though

  • Lin looked very good but still IMO didn’t look 100% with lateral movement on defense or burst on offense.
I pray Lin will stay healthy and get better.

I’d like to watch Lin play on Jan 6 for selfish reasons =)
I’ve never watched Lin’s team win in Phoenix *sigh*

  • Bledsoe got injured.. Markieff Morris openly wanted to be traded out of Phoenix.
I’m guessing truly bad chemistry and bad locker room situation. Not sure if they gave up on the coach yet

  • tom

I want Lin to play all games 30+mins for very selfish reasons lol

  • I hear ya =)

  • Maknusia

wow…it seem things are brewing there…thanks for the update….Happy New Year, mate

  • Dan Cohen

    MDA!..it’s a fking full circle!.

  • occupatio

marvin or lamb will be on thompson. batum is not a good defender anyway, but certainly better than lamb.

and overall, the team has no one who can be relied to defend 2s and 3s. lin can handle smaller 2s, but thats just a stopgap.
and kemba will forever be a below average defender at the 1 spot, especially now that he doesnt even put in the effort.

  • occupatio

thompson is not so impressive when he is not playing next to curry.

but trying to cover GSW in transition is the hard part. their defense leads to so many transition buckets.

  • TTNN

That sounds so familiar, I remember before Brain Shaw got fired in Denver, he has been complaining about the “millennial” had generation gap with him, and he would read books trying to connect with them, and he would collect their cell phones and trying to get his players to focus.

However, after he was fired, people were talking about the players had been tuning him out for a while already, and he was so bad, that player don’t really know what he want, and stop listen to him.

And it is so ironic that you said Shaw might be the next coach, LOL.

  • occupatio

livingston cannot 3s but he can post kemba non-stop for easy buckets. and when livingston is doubled, he passes well out of the post. i will enjoy watching that. but i wont enjoy kemba ball hogging in order to ‘get back’ at livingston. you know thats how it will go…

  • occupatio

while he complains about millennial culture and the degeneracy of social media, his wife is right next to him playing with her phone… she’s probably tweeting hehe

  • JoeTeam

I agree and will enjoy watching Liv’s posts as well as grit my teeth on the KW emo PG thing. But really, if JLin sits due to injury, it won’t matter and the worse he does, the better chance that management will wake up. Maybe … still got ASG break, and you know JLin comes out of those ready to play for the run up to finals.

  • JoeTeam

you are the only one here scouting games, I appreciate it. Bogut will outplay them inside. Looks like a blowout, unless JLin plays.

  • JoeTeam

    you might this year …

  • ok, with a few more hours, JLin fans have raised a total of $4,345 for JLinFoundation for this 2015-16 Fundraising!

Thanks to recent donation from @BrentYen:disqus , LY, anonymous, BH, Loyda Báez & @JAD2456:disqus
We have certainly surpassed the previous year’s donation of $4100.
Thank you for all of your generosity to support a worthy cause by JLinFoundation. You know who you are =)

  • David Ly

Hoping Lin will play since I’m going to be there! I’ll try to give a detailed report from my vantage point. I think his ankle should be okay after a day of rest. I think he has an incentive to play in front of his hometown crowd and also since it will be a nationally recognized game since it’s the Warriors.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Really would like JLin to heal well enough to play:-) Can understand both you, @psalm and others would like JLin to play for your own reasons:-)

  • Thanks, we’ll be waiting for your in-game report!
JLin certainly wants to play well in front of his home crowd.

Let’s hope & pray JLin will help the Hornets to play winning basketball in the next 2 games 😀

  • yes, it’s Win-Win scenario.

    JLin wins
    Hornets wins
JLin fans wins (makes the tickets worthwhile) lol

  • David Ly

If Hornets don’t make the playoffs, these games are very important for his reputation around the league. I think it’s a risk he should take because the upside is rather high against the Warriors. It would be such a good story for him PR-wise to do well against the best team and player in NBA.

  • Good point =D It was actually Adi Joseph who mentioned Brian Shaw ..

So maybe Sarver got the ‘millennial’ word after talking to Brian Shaw. haha..

  • tweeting is better than sleeping for sure =)

  • occupatio

she could actually be sleeping in the photo, now that you mention it hehe

  • occupatio

we all know what ‘stars’ like kemba do during nationally televised games. he will make it the kemba show tomorrow. for your sake, i hope im wrong.

  • occupatio
  • occupatio

translation of kobe’s words: clarkson, you’ve been playing like your charmin-soft asian side, instead of your tough black side.

  • tom

    Racism in the NBA
    White guys get no respect

  • Maknusia

Either way…do report back to us….have fun!

  • Yascar

What a hideous thing to say by Kobe. I’m surprised it hasn’t caused an uproar.

  • LinMad

    wow…speechless

  • And Sarver’s hand is on her knee waking her up, “Wake up, honey! We’re on camera” lol

  • Yascar

The worst thing for me is that people think it’s funny. Unbelievable.

  • Lin Win

Jordan Clarkson beats Ronnie Price off the dribble for the jam.
    Ironic!

  • james brown

and i thought that phoenix gave all to Bledsoe just for nothing this season..they let go IT and Dragic to be content on one player who can’t make the team better (injured or not) what an NBA this is?

  • james brown

what can you expect for a player who plays everybody!

  • james brown

he should fire his FO for not making it worth the million they put on one player!

  • james brown

maybe JLIN is working something at the background that he wanted to be 100% healthy when the signing do come..Joke!!!!
    LOL!

  • james brown

and they are just to please a one man who doesn’t care if others get hurt just to show his being tough!

  • james brown

when other says that the R word is a taboo in the NBA, well look who’s talking!

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    A racist remark from Kobe.

  • donsmacau

Translation: NBA player’s dad feels anybody not Black shouldn’t be playing in the NBA. Even though the NBA is already 75% Black but to the father anybody not black is just getting to play not because of talent but because charity which is (Racism).

Jackie Robinson and JLIN had to overcome real obstacles to even get to play. Now fathers of Black players want to bring it back to the bad old days where only one race plays.

    =====================================================

“Dennis Marshall (father) alleged Kendall wasn’t seeing more court time because he was black, ripping a 76ers [white] “shooter” who is inserted into games ahead of his son — likely Nik Stauskas.

“How are you a ‘shooter’ and shooting 27% from three?” he wrote, as captured by a Reddit user. Marshall’s Twitter is private. “Can’t guard but play a lot. What do you think the reason is?” “I always said there was racism in sports,” he tweeted. “White guys in basketball are getting every chance to succeed even when they aren’t doing s–t.”

  • gum

    Nationally televised? Which one?

  • LinJa

Too bad Lin is not 100%, now is his chance with batum likely sitting out.

  • Spot

Give Jeremy to Stauskas and he’ll become Kyle Korver from 3.

  • Phillycheese

Teams have been forcing Lin left and he is obliging. I think it is now time for him to go with his strength – go right – even when they try to force you to go the other way.

  • Phillycheese

Kobe likes to act tough and like he is from the hood. Fact is, he was brought up in an upper class black family, nowhere close to any hood.

  • MDA return to Phoenix next season?

  • Alain Gervais

this is actually a light skin vs darkskin thing. its mostly a black thing and has little to do with other races. its actually really racist toward darkskin blacks. Believing darkskin black are more animalistic and aggressive. Again I’m black. this is prototypical self racism.

  • adele

I want Lin to get healed also. No point in making his injury worsen. It’s Kemba show no matter what. They are using Lin to help Kemba’s stats.

  • rookie75094

Psalm..is it too late to donate….I want it to be a round number of 4500?

  • wu kong

This is racist. this should be condemned by the NBA. but of course it wont be.

  • donsmacau

Just because you’re born black don’t mean you instinctively know history.

You know where the light-skinned vs. dark-skinned came from?
It comes from Slavery times when light-skinned blacks – (the product of the white master and his black wench) were thought of as softer and more intelligent, groomed to be house-n***** rather than strong field n****** so don’t play this off as not black white racism. You can see it as just a black thang, that just means the white man pulled another one over on you.

  • please go ahead, I’ll add it to the final list that I’ll print today 🙂
thanks much! $4500 will be a nice round number

  • wu kong

the paperbag blacks are weak and have been diluted with the white skinned races?? but the paperbag blacks are considered prettier… oh my… so confusing is the self hate.

  • rookie75094

    Ok..will do

  • Alain Gervais

i know all of what you said but i don’t blame white peole for the way “my”people decide to think.

“Something tells us Kobe will be having a quick talk with Clarkson sometime soon about what stays between players and what gets to the media. But while you ponder all this, here are three Blake Griffin dunks in a single GIF.”

  • wu kong

you never heard the term paperbag blacks??? oh my….

  • donsmacau

When Colangelo rumors that he’d bring MDA to Philly cropped up. I was one of the early converts to say D’Antoni would take the job.
This MDA to Phoenix is wishful thinking among Suns fans – I don’t see it happening.

First Colangelo has real power as Head of Basketball Operations (above GM) and is a good personal friend of MDA.
MDA doesn’t need a team full of veterans that aren’t amenable to his coaching. He had plenty of that in NY/LA and without a GM or Ownership backing him – same end result.
Philly has the mix of young impressionable players and a new management willing to bring in the veteran talent that MDA wants. Moreover rumors are that Brown could be gone in 18 months.

    MDA will stay with Philly.

  • wu kong

    History lesson:

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=brown+paper+bag+test

“An actual test, along with the so-called ruler test in common use in the the early 1900s among upper class Black American societies and families to determine if a Black person was sufficiently white to gain admittance or acceptance. If your skin was darker than a brown paper bag, you did not merit inclusion. Thousands of Black institutions including the nation’s most eminent Black fraternity — Phi Alpha Phi, Howard Univiersity, and numerous church and civic groups all practiced this discriminiation. The practice has 19th Century antecedants with the Blue Blood Society and has not totally died out.”

  • Alain Gervais

i have, it just renders me speechless this ignorants continues.

  • Alain Gervais

    yea i also know this.

  • wu kong

whether Kobe meant the paperbag black reference or Asian or just a plain white guy does not matter. His comment is reprehensible and should be called out by the NBA

  • Alain Gervais

no he meant the paper bag reference. As a black guy. I hear black people say stuff like that all the time. I think its just weird but to them its normal to think this way.

  • wu kong

That is reprehensible and should be stopped! I too hear it all the time. ( southern, very white girl here) but growing up in the south with friends of color I have heard it many times and I get so angry at them when they say it…As if a very black person cannot be smart and awkward and an swede can’t be athletic and stupid. We come in all colors and all abilities. UGH! Kobe should be in trouble for this. the NBA and ‘his own people’ should blast him for this comment. wont happen though 🙁

  • rookie75094

Psalm…done…you can update your total now…hehe

  • got it! You da’ best =)

  • rookie75094

    🙂

  • donsmacau

Sixers just signed veteran forward Elton Brand. Initially thought they were getting him as a coach.
So now they’ll have to release someone.
    Jerry Colanagelo keeps moving.

  • Spot

Hopefully it will not happen. They already got Bledsoe.

  • Hm, I thought Brett Brown got 2 yr-contract extension.
So you think MDA will be HC next season and Brown will be fired?

If MDA gets offers as HC somewhere else, he could be gone from 76ers

  • rookie75094

There is fair competing under MDA…I wouldn’t worry about it

  • Spot

IF that happens, I think that MDA will try to see if they want to bring players he wants.

  • Spot

I was thinking about the Nets these days: no PG, no picks. Hollins is not doing good.

  • wandertheglobe

Not only Bledsoe but also B. Knight. A total of $26M for the 2 PGs in salary this year alone.

  • Spot

Knight’s not a problem. Bledsoe is a selfish diva.

  • Rick Johnson

Hover hand again. Looks like he’s holding her shopping bag. Maybe he’s afraid of an angry text from Momma Lin?

  • donsmacau

Not just me thinking Brown would be fired but also Philly fans despite the contract extension.
Colangelo isn’t leaving Philly for at least 3 years so MDA has his man in the front office supporting his every move. MDA doesn’t have that anywhere else.

  • rookie75094

    An injured selfish diva. ..hehe

  • donsmacau

Nets are pretty much a disaster as a team and organization. Career suicide for JLIN as he would have even less support than he does in CHA.

Should NBA step in if Mikhail Prokhorov doesn’t dump Lionel Hollins and Billy King?
    http://www.netsdaily.com/2016/1/2/10700542/article

  • I’m bewildered why Kobe didn’t get fined for his light-skin comment while Donald Sterling was properly punished for his racist personal remark.

Now we know why Kobe wore sunglasses after 2012 @JLin7 dropped 38pts on him #LightSkinNoMore

NBA should start selling this invention of ‘HideYourInnerRacist’ sunglasses to make a lot of money

    https://twitter.com/JLinPortal/status/684058241408471040

  • The Head Coach is #1 factor.
Even Clifford praising Lin’s defense is huge since all reporters start quoting him. Now people start to recognize JLin’s contribution in defense.

I think Nets is also running out of money & picks?

  • Alain Gervais

kobe won’t. why? because black people can be racist to really anyone including themselves

  • Alain Gervais

Again light skin refers to light skin black people. really has zero to do with anyone else

  • donsmacau

Great read from Elton Brand in his own words on joining Philadelphia 76ers.

  • hm, the comment was directed to ‘light-skin’ black people who’s supposedly not aggressive driving the lane like ‘dark-skin’ black people?

Wow, even that it’s still wrong to discriminate within the black community. Just my 2 cent

  • Alain Gervais

yea its self racism. i hear it a lot actually. Black people say stuff like this all the time.

  • CJSHYY
  • wu kong

    oh but it does.

  • oh, I understand. Even with Asian community, this kind of self-racism exists with light-skin and darker-skin.

They’re still wrong, though. I can see kids grow up used to this minor racism then their (positive/negative) reaction grow bigger as the difference in color grows bigger.

  • Alain Gervais

    indirectly.

  • wu kong

it is NOT just self hate it is also belittleing light skinned people of all sort. it is the same old racist ignorance of a black skinned person being athletic, aggressive, scary.

  • Alain Gervais

i understand why it happened just don’t get why it continues

  • wu kong

no very directly. it is most certainly self hate but also racist… cultural hegemony.

  • Alain Gervais

its actually belittling darkskin people much more. making them more animalistic as well as less intelligent.

  • donsmacau

Meaning, that Kobe got a lot of our cap money sucked up!

  • wu kong

racism is not just belittling/ negative. the racist remark of Asians being smart is still racist. even if some take it as a positive.

  • Alain Gervais

i agree. but what i meant was its not meant directly towards other races. its has its implications though

  • wu kong

I totally agree it is filled with self hate but that does not mean it is not racist. anything that attributes good or bad aspects solely based on skin color is racist

  • Alain Gervais

thats my point saying go toward the rim like a dark skin person its saying the somehow are more aggressive and athletic. Which could be taken as a positive but those same people will also say don’t be sensitive like a light skin person as if darkskin people cant be sensitive

  • wu kong

The comment is wrong on many levels. Kobe and Clarkson should be reprimanded for these comments. they will not be and that is troubling.

  • I agree. We need to unceasingly teach our kids and the next generation it’s not good to make fun (even innocent jokes) based on skin color because stereotyping hurts others just like it will hurt them.

  • tom

whats with all the Donalds lol
    first Sterling and now Trump
Trump has said way worse/racist things but the country supports him
Sterling kept it to himself and wasnt even that offensive, life ban #america

  • Alain Gervais

its common. if you live in a culture where light skin is prettier, where even your mom and her friends will say to the light skin little boy ” ohh you are so pretty. You have nice hair”. It just become normal. if a boy lives in violence it just become normal to be violence.

  • Alain Gervais

Its not just that but how those kids based on their color are treated. who is called pretty and who is not

  • khomphuong2

    Have fun.

  • Barkley and Donald Trump has reached the unusual level that they can say almost anything without being taken seriously because people thought of them as ‘entertainer’ and are willing to say the ‘tough stuff’.

Politics aside, the racism part should never be allowed.

  • wu kong

Sociology 101: what you are expressing is called Cultural hegemony. lots of examples but the skin color is a well worn example: the idea of light skinned being prettier or attributed to health or intelligence is a belief that was thrust upon darker skinned peoples ( native Americans, African slaves, Indians, aboriginals everywhere…)by colonial overlords. when the oppressed peoples take that concept on and believe it and then use it against themselves and others that is called Cultural Hegemony. almost like a brainwashing…

  • TTNN

    LOL, keep trying…..

  • Alain Gervais

    what??

  • wu kong

and in this specific case who is called strong, athletic, aggressive or not. any of these attributes based on skin color need to be stopped in their tracks. NBA should be making a statement about this. Sadly they will not.

  • Alain Gervais

nope. mostly because they may believe it

  • khomphuong2

Prop to Clarkson to say it out loud in the public, intentionally or not.

  • tom

I really hope he doesn’t get elected Bush was 100 times better
    Barkley doesnt cause harm
    Trump inspires hate crimes

  • tom

You can say someone is pretty nothing wrong with that

  • Alain Gervais

yea you can say anything really. but if it fits the stereotype then don’t get mad when those who are treated like the stereotype throws that said stereotype back at you

  • tom

How is that any form of stereotype?
    Saying someone is pretty?

  • Alain Gervais

we was having a deep conversation on race and skin color. My comment was based on that. You may be talking about something else aka miscommunication

  • JoeTeam

man, you’re a brain wu kong. Hegemony, a great word.

  • JoeTeam

Alain, when I went to Jamaica a while ago, you’d see beautiful models on posters and local people would call them ‘high color’ for the lighter skin tones. I see your point. This happens for Chinese too, in that there’s a bias for lighter skinned people by the older generation because of the working in the sun thing. I think in the west, there is a bias toward the well-tanned people because it looks like they have money and just came back from a vacation in … you guessed it, Jamaica or the BVI lol.

  • rookie75094

Kevin Durant out tonight per nba radio…lower extremity injury…karma for trying to hurt Jlin a couple years ago.. the Lord see all and remember all.

  • JoeTeam

wu kong, see my post above about Jamaica and ‘high color’. Also about Chinese mom’s not liking their sons to date darker complexioned Chinese gals. It’s unfortunately a human trait, to discriminate with lazy heuristics. There are classes on how to remove bias from one’s thinking, but it’s hard to maintain discipline. I get your point, and yet, if you are from a culture, you live with it. Sort of like how we judge people on their ‘job’ in the US (economic status instead of class) and less where they are from (England). The good news is mix is happening fast and all we have to do is to ensure we don’t empower blatant racists or non-thinkers into leadership roles, hard as that is.

  • sws94

Exactly, good hair, paper bag test, same sort of thing.

  • JoeTeam

Today’s karma is hard enough to adjust to lol.

  • sws94

A lot of it happens in the NBA and NFL as far as I know. Kobe probably thought Clarkson wouldn’t say it in public, but he did.

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

When did Durant tried to hurt Lin?

  • 1mtoldman

lin has double digit scoring in his last 7 consecutive games.
he never had a series of 7 consecutive games with double digit scoring in l.a.
he had two such stretches of 7 consecutive games (or more) with double digit scoring his second year in houston
three such stretches in his first
and two such stretches in his linsanity/new york time.

  • wu kong

ha ha Thanks but I’m just old…been around long enough to pick up stuff

  • sws94

I’d like to see Lin score in the 20s more. He’s only had 1 game not scoring in the teens or less, the 35 point game. Lin’s going to the line and being in crunch time helps him as he gets fouled. That usually gets him to 10 points or more.

Yes during the playoff series in 2013

  • CJSHYY

I think very likely Lin will play tonight.

Okay, Curry out. Time to show off for the home town crowd.

  • 1mtoldman

    promising.

  • DX

No Batum, hope Lin can play.

  • 1mtoldman

    lin 20+ point games;

    ny: 11
    houston year 1: 16!
    houston year 2: 7
    la: 6
    charlotte: 1

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

Have you guys heard the latest rumors that D’antoni is now a strong possibility to replace Hornaceck in Phoenix?

Very interesting…How will Lin fit there since they already have 2 point guard.

Would Lin be happy to come off the bench?..D’antoni would probably make it a 3 point guard rotation system with Bledsoe, Knight and Lin as the sixth man.

  • blubell

I thought it was collision with Sefolosha that caused the injury? Oh wait, I vaguely remember Durant purposely aimed for Jeremy’s chest knowing he was hurt…

  • rookie75094

I guess Steve Martin is one of the pretty ones…lol…for the young ones..I am referencing the movie ” the jerk”

  • blubell

So most likely he will play.

  • rookie75094

Yes..I was referencing the second part…I do have a long memory and I do hold grudges when it comes to Jlin …lol

    Lol

  • blubell

Cheap shot just like Kobe kicking. smh.

  • Rick Johnson

Not sure D’Antoni wants to deal with NBA Prima Dona’s like Bledsoe again. He’s probably had enough of Melo and Kobe. Philly might suite him better. Young teachable players.

The coaching situation in philly is like my kid science teacher having Albert Einstein as a substitute.

  • that’s true. MDA had a bit of bad blood with Sarver in 2008 so I’m not sure he wants to go back working for him again. 76ers might be a better option and a clean slate (unless they don’t offer HC job)

    http://nypost.com/2008/12/12/knicks-coach-rips-old-phoenix-bosses/

  • sws94

Priority is not to injure himself any further. He’ll give his best. Whatever he can give is appreciated, even if it is 1 point.

  • yup, something has to give there.
Either MDA becomes a head coach somewhere else next season or Brown parts ways with his 2-yr contract

  • sws94

On the one hand. On the other hand, talent and experience favors Phoenix. Also a town he knows well and may prefer?

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

    I didn’t know that..is there a video of this?

  • I lost respect to Durant after trying to foolishly make a point to hurt an injured JLin.
He can take his case against Bev directly if he had isssues

  • rookie75094

    Lol…frankly my dear…I don’t give a damn. … (gone with the wind)

  • 1mtoldman

that’s my story and im sticking to it.

  • Steppen03

As a huge Curry & GS fan and of course … GS can afford to lose this one due to Linsanity =). Let’s Go, Linsanity Prime! 30pt & 8.

  • sws94

Exactly. Lin is a hard but clean player. That was cheap. Durant is trying to be a tough guy and he isn’t. He’s a finesse player.

  • Dan Cohen

    50pt & 20 a & 15 r & 10 steals and 0 to

if you’re gonna dream why not dream higher.

  • Steppen03

I’m sorry. Is it ?? Lin never had 30 pt games against good teams ??

  • Dan Cohen

    38 with spurs.

  • cdblue10

It’s gonna be a win tonite.

  • Dan Cohen

but lin might nota even playa.

  • cdblue10

It’s ok as long as they’ll get the W

  • Rick Johnson

It would break the Warriors home game winning streak of 34 games if they did.

  • cdblue10

That’s should be a big win then.

  • Acbc

I’d bet Clarkson was insulted. If someone said that about my mom, I’d be furious. Maybe that’s why it all came out. You can’t tell a player, stop using your crap Asian genes. No matter how you slice it, it’s racism.

What’s even worst is that Kobe thought it was okay to say it like it was some sort of great advice.

  • Acbc

Hornachek is a good coach so there’s a load of BS behind the scene we don’t know about and it all starts at the top.

  • Dan Cohen

since this is at 10:30 pm.. does anyone know if it’s on espn, nbatv , etc..instead of some local stuff (unless you are in cali bay area of course)

  • Acbc

    Don’t forget the lakers

  • Dan Cohen

well, the lakers was going down hill during that time

  • Acbc

They were but still had the core players from the 2 rings 2009-10(?).

  • Dan Cohen

they wer missing shaq ..without him, they can’t compete

  • jolno

Coming into tonight’s game, I am kind of concerned for Lin if he intends to play with a bum ankle. The Warriors is a team that likes to use a lot of screens (many illegal moving ones) to free up their shooters in Curry and Thompson. Considering that Lin would be asked to guard Thompson with Batum out, the bum ankle would likely prevent Lin from rapidly changing directions, which could lead him to collide into those screens.

Obviously as his fan, I would like to see him play well especially in his home town, but there are times when it’s wiser to sit it out rather than risking further injuries (what Curry is doing now). Anyways, hope everyone has a good day.

Said “should be alright” “nothing some medicine and tape won’t help”. Doesn’t sound like 100% but NBA players probably play dinged up all the time.

  • hmm, sounds like he’s still healing but still planning to play.

  • DX

Also Cliff said Kemba has knee sore, so Lin need to take huge responsible.

  • rookie75094

Lol I ended waching Sandrah explains why she likes Asian men.

  • NONONO

Ankle injury is not like some illness you might be able to play through it and hope for the best. If you do no feel 100% healthy, you would always have some risk to re-injury it and it would be much worse. I wish him the best. I hope people who believe god would pray for him.

  • CJSHYY

    Really? Kemba?

  • sws94

If Lin gets hot, Iggy or Green is going to guard him.

  • 1mtoldman

    indian miami/ memphis portland.

dont quote me on this but i think 4ward the only hornets game on any national tv is the last game of the season.

  • DX
  • CJSHYY

    Thanks.

  • JoeTeam

This is true. Yet we don’t know how serious the injury is so maybe he will sit or maybe he will really do well. And, they have shots and tape, so tonight is a tossup. I hope he plays, plays well and safely for the fans and the win! To me GSW can afford a loss, and they can change their goals to start to recover and finish out this epic season well. CHA and Lin cannot afford a loss right now, so go Lin!

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • 1mtoldman

wow just two random teams not even half way thru the season and already one team with 7 players and 4 primary rotations players and the other 5 and possibly 6 players and 4 possibly 5 primary rotation players some degree of probability of not playing do to injury.

  • JLin Fan from Australia
  • CJSHYY

    Haha! Nice to see this….

  • sws94

Lin said basically he’s going to play with the hope that tape and medicine gets him through tonight. At least, that’s kind of what I heard.

  • sws94

With Batum out, Lin is going to give it a shot. But those words sound as close as Lin will get to ankle isn’t that great but good enough to go out there and try.

  • Acbc

Shaq was long gone. They won 2 with Gasol.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin’s defense against Thunders was pretty good. None of the guards of the Thunders were exactly having good outings. Westbrook was 4 for 15 in 31 minutes. I would give Lin a pass on his first game back.

It’s just that Hornets need players like Jamb, Roberts and Daniels to step up in case of injuries but they didn’t. The most disappointing one being Jeremy Lamb, he should be the one working much harder. Also I expect Tyler Hansbrough to break out with more minutes given to him. Kaminsky was also a disappointment in the last game playing 33 minutes and contributed only 2-11 shooting, 6 rebounds 2 assists and 2 TOs.

The bench simply has to step up when the team undergoes tons of injuries but I haven’t seen anything yet except from Lin. Looking forward to Lin being the glue guy to make them contribute more during this game against the Warriors.

    Lin has played well.

  • Lin is a true warrior, ready to battle the Warriors

  • CJSHYY

How long Batum will be out? I wish Lin can have more time to recover….

  • 1mtoldman

as other people have pointed out: these “bench players” aren’t very good unless they have lin (like a lot of times in lin’s carreer)–now with lin getting more minutes with the starters the bench players fall to their norms unaided by the lin multiplier effect.

  • TTNN

I was surprised last game that Daniel was playing instead of Lamb. And Daniel was pretty cold. So looks like coach was really unsatisfied with lamb?

  • 1mtoldman

lin has only had a few 20 points games in his carreer much less 30 regardless of competition.

    1 with charlotte
    6 with the lakers
    7 with houston second season
16 (the most by far) with houston first season (people on both sides seem to forget that and that for the last month of reg season lin was superb 17/7 44% shooting 35 minuts a game)
and knicks i dont remember but less than houston 1st season, maybe 11 or 12 during the “linsanity” run virtually all

  • 1mtoldman

coach has been “unsatisfied” with lamb for a long time. and i think correctly.

  • TTNN

the thing is, if Daniel could defend, he would be playing long time ago. I thought Lamb’s defense wasn’t that bad though.

  • It doesn’t really say but if the injured toe changed color like in the previous game, they probably would take precaution to prevent chronic injury

  • blubell

I met Lisa at an event when Jeremy was in LA. She was super nice 🙂

  • grover chang

Have been praying for his ankle to heal. May God be with Lin.

  • sws94

Problem with those bigs are they don’t convert Lin’s passes. The one’s they catch. A lot of times they don’t seem to be prepared to catch his passes and looked shocked that the ball is in their hands. Then they rush the shots or hesitate and it’s blocked. Lamb is his most reliable guy to score or Kaminsky from distance, not when he’s pump faking and driving. Tyler catches Lin’s passes but he’s fouling so much he only converts when he doesn’t foul.

  • CJSHYY

So he maybe will skip even more games then… bad idea for Lin… smh!

  • If JLin can get 100% soon, it might be a great opportunity.
For now, let’s hope and/or pray that he will be careful & be 100% healthy
But yeah, it’s a little concerning

  • JoeTeam

Lamb made some terrible choices, so it wasn’t just bad execution. Now I see what limits him, I never really paid attention to his indiv play as much as last game probably because he made his moves but bricked the scoring and then he made moves that made no sense, all alone.

  • JoeTeam

The catch more than Asik, but they don’t finish like Greg Smith.

  • JoeTeam

    Just sayin’ tonight’s the night:

    https://youtu.be/izB8P8oyhJk?t=4m2s

  • donsmacau

When you know Ibaka is close by you can tend to get the yips, the shadow of his intimidation factor alone seemed to caused Hornet bigs to cower. Hopefully the bigs do a bit better.

  • Briiick

except for the short period when the FO gave him a fat contract and Cliff felt obliged to play him.

  • JoeTeam

Excited to see JLin play against a strong team that plays his style.

So, if Curry is out, and they start Livingston, then KW gets some of Livingston’s long D. Lin too, and also probably Ian Clark. Not sure – sometimes they have Iggy on the PG. Both are long. If Lin is D’d up, he’ll have a tough time on Shaun’s post up because SL has perfected nice step-back midrange jumper and it will be like defending Jimmy Butler, but SL is not as aggressive. SL also has a nice inside out spin move that takes him right to the glass, and given how tall he is, it would be nice to see how JLin adjusts to that move as I’ve seen SL beat some good players with it. Iggy is iffy on the 3, and I think JLin can contest because Iggy’s best shots are when he’s wide open or moving in for the dunk. He doesn’t tend to try to create a shot for himself.

Anybody else have ideas on what to look for?

    Hey JT
Are you going to the game tonight? Should we be getting post game report from you? Have fun if you are.

  • JoeTeam

No sir … just trying to get my year started. And humbly, I can’t afford GSW tix while they are hot lol.

But I will try to post something after the game because I’ve been watching GSW games + JLin minutes. I’ve only watched a couple of CHA games completely, because I just get bored watching the infectious hogging.

So I think I know the people and may be able to spot some game flow things not x’s and o’s to share.

Best for now, it should be a great game. I really want to see now a great team D like GSW will stop KW and if he gets it and will adjust by playing more the kind of game WITH Lin that let him has his and win too.

That is, I’m looking fwd to seeing DGreen and Bogut or Fez inside stop KW’s forays. A few blocks there should stop the iso heavy game.

  • LinMad

i felt like Lamb got pulled cause he was making bad decisions on his shots and also tried to play PG a little and failed. He was also holding the ball too long running the clock down just to shoot it himself.

  • spiderman

yeah I know, although in the present tense…

  • Alain Gervais

yea i see it now. its fixed

  • yes, thanks .. it was incorrect before

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lamb simply needs to play with more energy.
He really got paid for years of doing close to nothing simply because he has the measurements to be a good player. He got the length, the extension, the height and the shooting if he’s left wide open but he simply lacks energy to play at the next level.
He needs to know more about the game and gets involved.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

For Charlotte to have a chance. Marvin Williams, Jeremy Lin, Zeller, Hairston need to step up while Kemba is already playing close to his max. Kaminsky, Lamb, Hansbrough should play more more consistency as well.

  • Maknusia

Hope it will be an entertaining game

  • Briiick

Cliff needs to let Lin facilitate at least 50% of the time when KW is also on the floor, and set up some picks for Lin. They will not get to the playoff if KW plays the PG only to set up himself most of the time.

  • Maknusia

So…your wish came true…wanting jlin to play tonite…..

  • Kwok Wai Lai

If Lin is healthy, we may see Linsanity tonight.
Last game Lin made no TO. That is really a progress playing 34 minutes.

  • HY C

    his ankle looks ok?

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I wish Kemba would play a less role as play maker in this game. He’s a scoring threat rather than a play maker. However, I can’t see any Ed Davis in this team. Those big men have blown so many opportunities after Lin delivering the ball to them down low.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    76er won again over Minnesota.
Ish Smith has proved himself he could be the PG for MDA making 11 assists, shooting 9-16 in the game. Carl Landry also played at elite level again. Nerlens Noel is another legit NBA player.
As a team, they made 31 assists for the game scoring 109:99.

  • Maknusia

yeah…he seem to be fitting in well into the system

  • zxcvb

Smith was awful his past 2 games (5-28). He’s a fine backup, but even Colangelo said they’re “still looking for a PG.”

Lakers GM Kupchak: “We cannot move on as a team until Kobe leaves”

The Sac King’s bench is killing the Thunders in the 4th quarter. Willie Stein and Kosta Koufos played wild. They are pulling away from the Thunders w/o Durant.

  • Briiick

Even the FO is getting sick of their own agenda.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

in other words”….Kobe, can you leave NOW?”

  • guest

“We cannot move on as a team until Kobe leaves,” Kupchak said. “Part of that to me is painful because I’ve been here 20 years with Kobe.

“This is a year that’s dedicated to Kobe and his farewell. From my point of view, it gives me complete clarity. … We know what our [salary] cap situation is going to be like…. “We feel in the last two years that we’ve gotten at least five attractive young players,” said Kupchak, listing Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Larry Nance Jr. and Anthony Brown.”

    also 20+ points.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

They have size and 3 point shooting which make them really difficult to play against.
They have 3 bigs about 7′.
Cousins has already pulled down 17 boards and Rondo made 17 assists. They have the coach to make the team work well.

  • guest

Alright, this will truly put into perspective of how good Hornets are as a team in the NBA! (Regardless of who is sitting out for each team. Every team goes through injuries.) I wonder what Clifford’s adjustments or non adjustments will be against; Golden State Warriors = Gold Standard of Modern NBA Champion Caliber Team. GO LIN!!

Hope he has ‘Lin confusion’ in this game

  • IsabeliJane*17

that freakin’ bullet pass caught Curry off guard… hahaha

  • Maknusia

    Go Lin…sweet assist there!

  • Curry is guarding Lin & Lin is guarding Brandon Rush.
    Weird

  • Maknusia

    Hope Zeller keeps that up!!!

  • your son’s voltaire

    Lin is guarding Rush

  • your son’s voltaire

    Lin is playing SF

  • grover chang

Curry just owns walker. Gonna be a long night.

  • golfhacker

Lin should have shot after getting Curry in the air.

  • 1mtoldman

not surprised he’s been guarding sf to start the game most games.

  • maybe to save energy on D for more Offense?

  • LinMad

well Lin is taking Batum’s spot

  • grover chang

Is Lin guarding rush because his ankle is bad and can’t defend the guards.

  • your son’s voltaire

well, Batum plays SG to save energy on offense so i don’t know..

  • IsabeliJane*17

Wonder what play Jeremy called in “wiggle”…

  • NONONO

    Walker ISO all overs

  • grover chang

Nice pass by William to zeller

  • LinMad

Is the crowd always that loud when Curry shoots?

  • Good finish by Zeller with reverse layup

  • Alain Gervais

Lin need to get involved jeez

  • LinMad

Kemba ISO, he’s aiming for 30+ today

  • Good anticipation by Kemba of his own miss to get rebound plus And-1

  • tom

Curry is not on messis level at all lol

  • grover chang

Walker playing hard and playing well. But I don’t know how helpful his iso game going to be for a win.

  • Epie

LOL Kemba.. you will NOT win playing alone

  • blubell

    22222222

  • Lin for 2!!!!

  • Dorothy

    22222222222222

  • grover chang

    2222

  • grover chang

Walker needs to focus on defense as much as offense.

  • LinMad

That scamble situation so ugly. No rebounds. Can’t let a team like Warriors get 2nd, 3rd chance

  • Alain Gervais

Lin tried passing it last second

  • grover chang

Lin fouled on that turnover, no call, but whatever.

  • Alain Gervais

    or was it blocked?

  • tom

bad decision shouldve taken a midrange when he had the chance

  • NONONO

It is so funny that the guards scored so much in the paints from both teams.

  • sws94

That’s where he gets in trouble. Just shoot it there. If he misses, Cody can possibly tip it. Lin looks ok but looks like he’s pacing himself.

  • BobbyH

Oh no, Walker begins his things too earlier.

  • sws94

looked like a pass to me.

  • Alain Gervais

Ln not listed for tov but a shot

  • sws94

    I’ll take that.

  • Alain Gervais

    me 2

  • ZcodeSportSystem.com

Jeremy is way too indecisive…He thinks way too much…Should had just shot the ball..you could see he simply couldn’t make up his mind on what he wanted to do..pass or shoot…

I’d rather him to simply shoot whenever he gets so deep into the lane.

  • LinMad

What I noticed is that Zeller doesn’t know how to PnR properly. When Lin penetrates, Zeller is slow/behind Lin. That’s why the two defenders were able to trap Lin (even though it did look like a foul)

  • wandertheglobe

Kemba needs to get teammates involved. Too much ISOs, Warriors will blow out the Hornets if this continued.

  • LAJane

That will never happen. His habits and instinctive view of how he should play are, imho, past the point of reset.

  • LinMad

The PNR was a set play. It failed

  • Briiick

A PG who only sets up himself is just ridiculous, icing his teammates and forcing them to become more selfish.

  • sws94

He needs to stop that. Really. Don’t worry about anything other than being decisive and shoot the ball when there’s space. If there is an opening, pass it. But only if there is one.

  • Good set play to get MW 3 after time-out
    16-17

  • NONONO

It was original Cliff plan – Lin and Kemba played like Curry and Thompson. But Cliff uses wrong PG and it has costed Hornets and Lin a lot.

  • LinMad

    PJ shoudl have dunked that.

  • John Focker

What’s the difference between your suggestion and asking Harden to play D?

  • wow, Lin’s defensive challenge caused Iggy’s airball =D

  • John Focker

Characteristic of today’s NBA, which is crowded by gold-digging players rather than trophy-seeking players.

  • LinMad

    his hair

  • too sharp lol

  • grover chang

Lin does this a lot feeling out the opposition. If he gets the minutes he destroys the other team by the fourth.

  • grover chang

    Lazy rebounding by warriors

  • LinMad

    nice!

  • Maknusia

    Blinder!

  • Lin is doing a good job defending Klay … like a blanket

  • LinMad

yes he is, he had to push off Lin earlier. Should have been foul

  • grover chang

So fast. Only 3 minutes left in first.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Warriors are lazy rebounders. Hornets should take advantage of this.

  • the previous play caused Klay to have TO in passing

  • IsabeliJane*17

Jeremy can blanket on me anytime 😉

  • cshot

good d on klay. want him to get more plays run for him tho

  • tom

    lamb move the ball

  • okayyy … that’s different blanket
    like Lion King blanket LOL

  • JoeTeam

    you !

  • NONONO

Kemba played ISO so early, it could have backfire if it made teammates cold.

  • sws94

We see why Kemba shoots so much. He’s not a good passer. Definitely below average for a PG.

  • 1mtoldman

pretty much all kemba ball to this point.

  • 1mtoldman

fewest assists of any top rated point guard.

  • Lin is trying to get everyone involved and be secondary playmaker after Kemba.
    So far so good!

  • grover chang

Lol Lin gets knocked over, but gets the foul.

  • Good challenge by Lin led to Klay missed 3

  • sws94

Lin really isn’t himself. No explosion and cutting on his ankle.

  • LinMad

    Lin’s first TO?

  • LinMad

    Lin’s sitting.

  • Maknusia

Bound to happen…borh are running…fast pace team

  • tom

He didnt get there in time its okay

  • IsabeliJane*17

That ankle really needs to heal 150%.

  • wandertheglobe

Warriors commentators compare Lin to JJ Barea…LOL, They say he belongs in the League.

  • LinMad

Cliff needs to draw more plays for Lin

  • grover chang

Ok. Lin did block on that play. I still don’t think Lin is back yet. Having to play against elite teams is not the way to come back from an injury.

  • cshot

    is that 2 fouls?

  • Alain Gervais

    lol yea let it go.

  • he looked a bit slower than last game.
Let’s hope he’s just warming up

  • John Focker

Klay and the GSW don’t need ref coddling, unlike Harden and Thunder softies.

  • heart

And get the bigs to screen for him.

  • only 1st foul

  • John Focker

An injured Lin vs a healthy Barea, maybe.

  • blubell
  • IsabeliJane*17

and still.. Barea wouldn’t be able to do anything against an injured JLin’s defense.

  • Epie

Why does cliff always sub when there is good flow in the game? just should’ve waited a bit with Lamb

  • cshot

jeremy needs high screens and bigs that roll hard to the basket. these bigs are lazy lol

  • LinMad

Will Lin get back in 2nd qtr?

  • Dan Cohen

man why is lin suxing… so hesitant.

  • Alain Gervais

    he will have to

  • tom

Also hes a warriors fan maybe taking it easy on them lol

  • LinMad

they don’t know the technique to screen. Their screens are always half or 1/3 committed.

  • Alain Gervais

    Let him find a rhythm

  • cshot

and end up moving while screening

  • John Focker

After one quarter, GSW has 10 asts, CHA has 3. Kembaball is a f*ing joke.

  • sws94

    no, he has 2 unfortunately.

  • NONONO

I hope Lin would not play 2q if Kemba plays PG and continues his ISO at the cost of Lin

  • LinMad

ya they don’t know how to pause, they just go and then run back. It’s not even a screen, they are running up and down for no reason.

  • golfhacker

We’re almost halfway through the season. What makes you think Cliff will do that now?

  • wandertheglobe

I thought he got the 1st on Clay and second on the blocking foul just before he got taken out.

  • aras

Lin must really hate meeting the warriors…

  • John Focker

Do not underestimate the disruptive Force of Kembaball.

  • tom

    Though Lin had 2 fouls?

  • grover chang

Lin needs a fully healed ankle to cover all the deficiencies the hornets have against good teams to win. Playing hurt against the best team in the league is asking too much. I don’t mind seeing him rest in the bench under these circumstances.

  • BobbyH

No, CHA had 10 assist, 7 of them Walker assisted Walker.

  • I hope some of us got Lin’s post-game guest passes

    https://twitter.com/rick_bonnell/status/684222674151735297

  • Alain Gervais

what is the bench going to do without lin

  • so far Brian Roberts & MW scored.
Let’s see if they can keep up

  • LinMad

    the D is lost

  • grover chang

Line up change so much and sprain ankle caused him to have no rhythm with teammates. Can’t anticipate their reactions. No hesitation when you don’t care about teammates and just shoot like walker.

  • LinMad

    so far we’re trading buckets.

  • Good job by Lamb to get an And-1

  • GSW got wide-open shots .. very bad

  • Dan Cohen

    oh geez lambo..

  • LinMad

    That looked painful for Lamb

  • Alain Gervais

our bench is not doing bad

  • John Focker

Kemba’s been averaging 41.5 min per game in the last six games (42 min vs pathetic Lakers to statpad), nullifying BF1. He can’t possibly last long this way, maybe Clifford trying to run him into the ground?!

Let’s see how many more Kembaball losses the team can stomach before any action is taken by the upper ranks.

  • sws94

They are doing well offensively. Roberts is good so far.

  • Promo Sports World

That’s a ton of minutes….kemba is not built to last

  • grover chang

Good work by bench. Without walker the team moves the ball nicely with passes.

  • LinMad

he’s ISOing, no one on starting unit can play well

  • Good play by Hawes to find a cutting Roberts inside

  • IsabeliJane*17

That 3-guard line up of JLin/JLamb/Kemba…. painful to the eyes because of Kemba.

  • tom

Roberts doing well wonder if Lin will play more mins tonight

  • Promo Sports World

    Of course Lin will play

  • yes, the ball moves beautifully

  • aras

Roberts been playing well so far. bench doing a good job keeping the team in it.

  • LinMad

they’ll need Lin for D. BROB can score well some games and other games he’s no where to be found. But you can’t rely on him for defense.

  • grover chang

And if he doesn’t play much I’m okay with that. He doesn’t look all the way back yet.

  • LinJa

Hornets has ez baskets with great ball movement and no kemballclogger

  • John Focker

Might as well be Kemba/John Focker/IJ17, and it wouldn’t have made a difference. It’s Kemba ISO anyways.

  • NONONO

Kemba is the problem – no defense!

  • All-Star push and/or showcasing =)

  • cshot

put spencer with jeremy for christs sake… i am not liking zeller or kaminsky

  • Briiick

I feel it’s a compensation for falling out of top 10 guards in the All Star first round voting.

  • Promo Sports World

He is now seen as the defensive guard crazy times we live in

  • LinMad

see how BROB gets set plays like that? Why can’t Lin get that

  • IsabeliJane*17

Kemba will still ISO-post and post-hog….

  • John Focker

Roberts is lucky to not to have to play with Kemba.

  • cshot

    i know how you feel….frustrating

  • grover chang

    Phantom foul on hawes too?!

  • grover chang

    Good d by hornets bench.

  • Promo Sports World

Marvin Williams decided to play today

  • golfhacker

    Lin’s not playing PG.

  • coz Kemba doesn’t move the ball

  • LinMad

    BROB can shoot

  • Promo Sports World

He is a good back-up….seen him play last year….won’t take Lins minutes can’t play D

  • tom

Great Lin not coming back smh

  • John Focker

    Kembaball = 3 asts in 12 min.

    Team – Kemba = 5 asts in 5.5 min.

  • Epie

    More fun to watch tbh

  • Alain Gervais

    bench has impressed

  • LinMad

    They can play

  • John Focker

Because ball MOVES. Any lineup is fun to watch if you take the hog out.

  • LinMad

ugh why timeout…they were doing well

  • Alain Gervais

    Lin needs to get going

  • Promo Sports World

Kemba is a good player folks….not his fault he has the green light … I don’t begrudge his game …. I’m also a ny guy whose seen Kemba play many years … He plays very much like Jeremy….just takes too many shots

  • tom

Lin needs to hit shots when he gets the mins

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Sure glad Roberts and Lamb step up. Go Hornets.

  • Epie

It’s his specialty – stop the flow

  • heart

The first four or five possessions in 1st Qtr were all KW. It’s good that he made shots, but as PG he got to get his teammates involved in the offense first. Glad bench is doing well. But why is Cliff calling the time out when his team is getting comfortable?

  • LinMad

I bet you he timed out to put Kemba in. Lin will still be on bench.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lamb plays well tonight. At last.

  • grover chang

Bench is doing well. Lin is injured and cold after sitting so long. I would just let him rest. I don’t expect Lin to do much tonight. You could tell his burst is not there.

  • Alain Gervais

Lin has 2 fouls so hopefully he plays safe

  • John Focker

He plays very much like Jeremy….just takes too many shots = oxymoron.

Jeremy does not hog, he facilitates.

  • LinMad

true, he needs to play more like a PG. If Lin was at point, maybe things would have been different.

  • cshot

    thought he only had 1?

  • Let’s see if Kemba also kills the teamball for Bench

  • Alain Gervais

    nope 2

  • blubell

    Lin in

  • JJ Hui

Something wrong with the coach. He gives Lin minutes but did not allow him to play PG which is Lin’s strength, No screen and no nothing! Just need him to do the dirty labor work! What a coach!

  • Lin and 1st unit are back in

  • grover chang

If clifford does then boo. Hornets don’t have the luxury to massage walkers ego, they have used up all their wins.

  • Rick Johnson

Wish he’d come in without Kemba

  • John Focker

Kemba’s really an SG with decent handle who never grew tall enough to play SG.

  • NONONO

Lin seems more easy get into foul troubles when he plays with Kemba, because Kemba’s weak defense just makes too many open shots for the opponent players. Lin very often overhelps when he plays with Kemba.

  • grover chang

Ugh. Just leave bench out there. Lin is injured and walker sucks.

  • Promo Sports World

He plays hard like Jeremy…very hard

  • your son’s voltaire

clifford don’t know how to call timeouts

  • wandertheglobe

Cliff is mad, 1st unit is not in synch and Lin is playing hesitant.

  • sws94

He needs to take them to hit them. Lin’s main problem is overthinking. It’s still a problem. Just play instinctually and when needed, create his own shots.

  • John Focker

    So…Lin’s Kemba’s Beverley?

  • LinMad

Cliff looks angry at Lin. Looking at Lin more than anyone else in the huddle.

  • heart

See, GSW commentators said the same thing I said is that Cliff took away his team momentum by calling the timeout.

  • Promo Sports World

He is seen as the defensive guy with Kemba….Jeremy is cliffs Swiss army player

  • blubell

    22@22

  • grover chang

What is cliff doing stopping momentum.

  • Dorothy

    22222222222222

  • Lin’s tear-drop floater!

  • Promo Sports World

In some ways….but when batum comes back he goes back to the bench

  • Epie

“Help” “Help” “Dang” nice D lin

  • heart

Cliff took an ill-advised time-out and gave away the momentum to GSW according to GSW commentators!

  • wandertheglobe

    LOL Kemba on Green

  • grover chang

Lin could barely stay upright. Working hard.

  • golfhacker

    Finally!

  • Promo Sports World

Jeremy has become the hornets mr everything

    Play D check
    Be the BF1 leader check

He does it all for this team

  • JJ Hui

Haha the GSW commentators thinks Coach Clifford is strange calling a time out when the player playing well.

  • grover chang

Why did cliff call timeout and put the starters in. Dumb.

  • Too .. much .. Kemba on offense

  • LinMad

    Good D by Lin

  • Alain Gervais

    way too much kemba

  • John Focker

    Not…enough…Kemba on defense.

  • wandertheglobe

Hornets have no answer for the Warriors.

  • cshot

y r we trying to make kemba shoot everything…? stupid plays..

  • LinMad

Cliff needs to get Lin involved in offense. Draw some plays for him for easy buckets. We cant just have Kemba shoot 80% of the shots. This is why 2nd unit looked so much better. They were all involved.

  • Alain Gervais

    kemba doesn’t play pg

  • heart

Said same thing. Cliff has done this several times already, in some previous games too.

  • tom

Lins defence really improved but putting him on Klay is still too much man like come on
let Lin guard my man harrison

  • cshot

get jeremy some plays incompetent coach

  • GSW plays free and beautifully as a team ..
Hornets 1st unit is like a hiccup with Kemba 1 make and 2 misses

  • Promo Sports World

Nope he is 5″11 2 guard

  • John Focker

Kemba’s as much PG as Jordan Clarkson.

  • IsabeliJane*17

JLin would have waltz on Curry’s defense… if the offense is not “give the ball to Kemba”

  • Briiick

Cliff’s got to let Lin bring up the ball, KW is icing everyone out.

  • aras

put the bench back in..this unit is terrible

  • grover chang

Probably because Lin is the only one who could save him but Lin isn’t back enough to deliver. Acting kind of like some of the tiger Lin fans here.

  • Promo Sports World

    Hairston back to adding nothing

  • CJSHYY

Ya! I agree. 2nd unit played well.

  • John Focker

Kembaball or nothing. W is optional.

  • Promo Sports World

    This is cliffs defensive lineup

  • NONONO

Kemba could shoot his teammates out of the game with a loss

  • LinMad

    bench with Lin

  • cshot

    lol and he gets benched….?

  • JJ Hui

Why put Lin plays the entire time with KW? Stu…coach!

  • IsabeliJane*17

Was that really Steph as a kid?

  • your son’s voltaire

not sure why clifford took Lin out when PJ screwed up so badly on defense just now

  • Promo Sports World

    Yup

  • tom

he took Lin out for Lamb okay clifford you

  • LinMad

Well Lin gets punished for whatever reason

  • Promo Sports World

    Offense Defense sub

  • your son’s voltaire

WHAT DID I TELL YOU GUYS ABOUT CLIFFORD LMAO

  • LAJane

    Kemba’s defense nanny.

  • wandertheglobe

    And 1 Lamb

  • JJ Hui

    Sick of that!

  • Alain Gervais

Lin plus/minus has been bad lately

  • John Focker

Well, Lin’s been playing with Kemba a lot lately.

  • aras

Lamb is prob going to play a lot this game.

  • Promo Sports World

If he is hot yup….should get marvins and hairstons time

  • grover chang

I’m happy Lin sits. Why get a third foul especially when he isn’t playing well in the last 90 seconds.

  • Briiick

so that either KW ices Lin or he doesn’t get the blame if Lin outshines KW.

  • tom

    yah **** that dude
although I understand he wants scoring and length but still

  • Maknusia

Hornets needs someone to match up Klay’s shooting as well…so I guess Lamb and Lin will be in a mix…unless Lin’s shot start to fall

  • Dan Cohen

    he is hurt too..
i predict next game he sits out.

  • Dan Cohen

and not doing much…he is suppose to be like klay in cliff’s vision if batum is out.

  • Lin definitely didn’t look as quick as the last game. He stumbled a bit before making the floater.
I’m concerned the ankle got worse after last game

  • cdblue10

It’s a mistake from the coach to play Lin and Kemba together, this is where you separate them to be a PG IN BOTH units

  • tom

Lin come on make more shots
Lamb is gonna take that 6th man job from you if you dont get yourself together

  • Promo Sports World

Hornets getting nothing out of their big men

  • NONONO

Kemba even toke PG role in the bench team lately

  • your son’s voltaire

well he called a timeout right after the PJ defensive lapse and took Lin out with just 1 minute left to play so not much of it is offense or length issue

  • aras

he has 2 fouls and is hesitating way to much on offense…maybe its the ankle.

  • sport

    Yup!

  • Promo Sports World

Agreed but it also shows how much they value Lins defense….it’s an interesting development in Jeremys career

  • Alain Gervais

our offensive set are so stagnant and very predictable. A lot of iso . very little movement ball movement with players standing there clogging up the space.

  • Dan Cohen

no, I actually start suspecting that cliff thinks lin should run the offense in the 2nd unit..so he is reoverlapping minutes.

  • LinMad

He won’t. Lamb is probably more inconsistent than Lin on offense. At least Lin brings defense if his offense isn’t there.

  • yup, 1 blk by Hornets vs 6 blocks for GSW

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lin is not feeling well. There is nothing wrong to let Lamb play out.

  • sws94

He’s not. Lin is hurt. Lamb doesn’t offer half of what Lin does.

  • IsabeliJane*17

To those complaining, Jeremy is playing with a bad ankle. Try playing basketball with a non-100% healed ankle, on a professional level. A non-100% healed ankle with lots of running and jumping.

  • sport

playing mostly iso just like Rockets and Lakers no PnR no ball movement at all!

  • BobbyH

It is not the problem of both in 1st unit. It is the problem Walker always do his ISO first before anyone else gets the ball. The only ball movement is under Walkers feet.

  • Promo Sports World

Lots of jump shots….so tonight if lamb is on you keep him hot….Jeremy is not 100 percent and needs PNR action and yet he still might get 25 plus minutes….

  • Briiick

Cliff lets KW dominate and play street ball for several seasons…

  • cdblue10

True but it’s a mismatch for both guards playing against Curry and Thompson

  • Dan Cohen

I think cliff is trying to re-overlap the players so that lin runs the 2nd unit…so he pulls him out. when lin is playing with kw it’s all kw and lin seems lost.

  • sws94

Exactly. We have to have reasonable expectations. Just because he starts and Batum is out doesn’t mean he’s scoring 35 every time. He’s obviously not himself out there now.

  • John Focker

GSW 19 asts at the half, CHA 10. Hawes the bench PF has 3 asts, three times as much as the starting PG.

    Any questions?

  • Promo Sports World

That’s why I’m not mad….this is the hornets brand of more just less post ups with Al being gone

  • Dan Cohen

lamb will be hurt.. he is hurting his wrist and arm right now.

  • LinMad

Guys, I don’t think Lin’s poor performance is solely on him. His teammates make it hard on him, giving him very few or no options at all but to ISO like Kemba. Lin wants to facilitate cause Kemba is not, but teammates make lanes clog up and spacing looks so bad.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Why not? He’s having his shooting touch back. Lin can rest his ankle. This is going to be a long season. Everybody of the team must step in and play their part.

  • sws94

Lin isn’t himself. Otherwise he’d have more impact. He made a great pass to Kemba early in the game. But he’s having trouble maneuvering out there.

  • blubell
  • cdblue10

The offense has no problem,it’s the defense that’s actually killing them.

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

Every game I hold my breath hoping to see Lin explode. Again, tonight, I am holding my breath. I’m waiting to see Lin play his heart and soul out. Unfortunately, I am still holding my breath. Why does he seem less explosive than Brian Roberts who’s only played 17 games this season?

  • Promo Sports World

For pretty much 90% of the league but your right

  • John Focker

    We need the Charlotte Djangos!!!

  • sws94

    Bad ankle.

  • aras

one thing i like about lamb though is that he keeps attacking even though it might not go his way sometimes he continues.

  • Alain Gervais

he is a little slower then usual since last game

  • your son’s voltaire

a bit of a reach there. clifford never cared about that before why now?

  • blubell

    Ankle not completely healed.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Might as well let Roberts and Lamb to have fun out there. Lin can rest his ankle.

  • yes, no doubt he doesn’t have his usual quickness out there.

He shouldn’t have played last game vs OKC *sigh*
but what else can he do with Batum out after playing on injured toes for 2 games

  • NONONO

    Rest Kemba

  • aras

i like it i want him to play. he is a good offensive player

  • CJSHYY

He’s not recover yet… he said that he use tape & medicine….

  • Promo Sports World

Clifford should have brought dantoni to his bench….still wondering what the great pat Ewing offers….since the big men suck not sure

  • sws94

I like it because it is needed now. Sometimes when he’s playing and other guys are going well he tries to do too much. Today, he’s good.

  • Dan Cohen

you might end up fainting tonight..so let open the valves

  • BobbyH

That’s where Kemba ball coming from.

  • CJSHYY

I think so… in fact, why asked Lin to play today?!

  • blubell
  • LinJa

Hornets still live and die by Kemball. They’re not gonna win or get into playoffs

  • John Focker

You’re gonna turn blue, and then purple, and then we’ll have to get you an ambulance…unless Kemba cannot play for any reason (like playing excessive minutes over a long stretch of games).

  • JJ Hui

This is all the coach’s fault, this KW hero ball is repeating too often and the result is always a big “L”!
    Dumb!

  • sport

lol Too adorable, Steph looks exactly the same. I love how the script was “Dad what does it take to become a great basketball player?” Then look at him now MVP and potentially the best player in the league over Lebron if he can 3 peat.

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

You might be right. I was so happy Lin was playing tonight. I hate being a fan. My night so depends on how Lin plays.

  • unfortunately it’s true.

If the defending champ GSW doesn’t play Curry-ball, the Hornets shouldn’t play Kemba-ball

  • Dan Cohen

your night should depends on how your kids behave.

  • golfhacker

    What else is new?

  • LinJa

Bench and Lin ball with starters would’ve been even closer

  • Promo Sports World

Kemba ISOs come from poor offensive schemes

  • IsabeliJane*17

Team depleted with injury. I am not sure how severe Batum’s injury is, but JLin decided to give it a go instead of sitting this out.

  • blubell
  • tom

    lets hope hes aight
    bench needs him too

  • Dan Cohen

kw is trying to prove something..as the commetators said.. last time curry had 40 points over there to his I think 4?
so he has to try to prove something.

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

All five of them are sleeping. East coast here. Made sure they were asleep so I can enjoy my game in peace.

  • Dan Cohen

    so expect more isolows

  • John Focker

Hornets can only DIE by Kembaball, not live. Years of records prove this.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Lin has to play every game like his last game or he will soon see less and less min or even DNP-CD. He made bad shot selection and hesitated when attacking the rim.

Lin seemed to play like he’s in practice and too comfortable.

  • grover chang

Kupchak said Lakers can’t move on until Kobe leaves. Hornets could say the same about walker and Jefferson. These two cornerstone players are built on an outdated foundation of isolation ball.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    Good 4 U

  • Dan Cohen

zammm 5!!!!!!! I thought my 3 was a lot..said a lot of my friends, who has at 2 maximum

  • John Focker

Prove what? Everyone already knows he’s good at getting CHA a losing record.

  • cdblue10

Lin is assigned to play defense on this team not really on his offense,it’s good to see his improved defense but I’m afraid to see if down the road he will lose his offensive tools.

  • Promo Sports World

Gsw, Atlanta and Spurs have offensive schemes that value team play….Clifford is a defensive guy who falls from van Gundy….not going to cut it

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

I know, I’m turning blue. I never played organized basketball but is it that important that the PG distributes the ball before he looks to score? What if the other team scores speedily and relentlessly? Shouldn’t you look to score just as speedily and relentlessly?

  • Briiick

To prove his team usually loses when he is the top scorer.

  • LinJa

Lin swioshing threes during halftime warmups

  • Dan Cohen

to compensate his su-ky last game with 4 points or something.

  • grover chang

Smh. 4 points or 40 points. End result is still a loss.

  • too bad Kemba doesn’t trust team-ball yet after 30+ games
Clifford gave way too much freedom to his ISOs costing teamball

  • Promo Sports World

Yup from another era….wouldn’t know euro ball if it him them

  • John Focker

Two’s a good threshold nowadays. Three or more and you’re hopelessly outnumbered.

  • Dan Cohen

but not to the individual…the team is the lost.. but 40 points shows he is not a lost.

  • Alain Gervais

he will not lose anything on the offense.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

I wish D Curry would talk more and Ms Ready would talk less. SMH. Annoying.

  • sws94

That’s not the problem. I think the problem is Lin’s stability, cutting to accelerate and lift on drives. He can’t play his game if he can’t do those things. He can try to shoot jumpers, but that’s not really what he brings.

  • John Focker

Fifty Shades of Blue: The Story of a Jeremy Lin Fan. LOL

  • sport

He still practice his offensive moves almost everyday and it’s not ago that he made a 30+ point game! He’s injured so offense is not going to be easy.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

GSW can’t pull away. Hornets is still within single digit.
If Lin gets more active in the second half, the Hornets still might have a chance.
Klay Thompson just had too much fun sinking 3s in the first half.

  • JoeTeam

correction, if Cliff and KW let Lin play.

  • Dan Cohen

put too much money on those playas

  • grover chang

Watch a game with kids asleep. Rare opportunity. In that case I really hope Lin lights it up and makes yours and all our nights with a win.

  • sws94

I think it is up to Lamb, Kaminsky this game. Others guys. Lin probably should’t play anymore than 12 minutes in the 2nd half.

  • LinJa

I’ve always believe Lin has a strong 3pt shooter. He set rox building 3s with 9 made. He can still be better. He can make it part of his reputation in his offensive set. Especially when he’s injured

  • that might be why Lin was practicing floaters since his ankle affected his ability to drive

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

Yes, that is the truth about overcoming bias and misperception. You have to overcome it with overachievement. That is always the case. Just read an article about that reporter Megan somebody in Vanity Fair and she said the same thing. As a woman journalist, and a blond one at that, she had to overcome stereotyping and gender-bias by being too good to be ignored. Lin, please just play like you played in the first Linsanity game against the Nets. He was like, “i’m just gonna play my game my way with all that I have since this might be the last NBA game I get to play” or something like that. Perhaps it’s too much for him to play like that every night but he has to LOOK more aggressive and more agile and faster to overcome the bias.

  • Briiick

The only time Lin was able to bring the ball up was after he got the def rebound.

  • sws94

It’s always been streaky. When it’s on it’s great. But he’s streaky.

  • aras

his 3 point shooting is on and off

  • sws94

Lamb is getting his wrist x-rayed.

  • Promo Sports World

Would a PNR with Kemba and Lin be too crazy lol….come on hornets coaches ….

  • LinJa

Those two guys aren’t developed defensively yet.

  • Epie

    Ouch!

  • Lin 1-2 to start 2nd half.
    Good aggressiveness

  • LinMad

    22222222

  • Promo Sports World

    Let’s get it

  • IsabeliJane*17

Bogut can’t do anything on that Jeremy shot.

  • cdblue10

    Curry has 3 ?

  • Alain Gervais

    3 what?

  • grover chang

When it rain it pours. Ouch.

  • cdblue10

    Fouls

  • Alain Gervais

    yea

  • IsabeliJane*17

Why was Bogut defending Jeremy? Oh wait…. 🙂

  • JoeTeam

gsw hits Rush for a wide open three, that he missed, then on the other side PJ ignores a wide open 3 for Lin at the corner short 3.

  • sws94

    Lin is struggling out there.

  • LinMad

whoever curry is guarding, need to attack

  • IsabeliJane*17

Yep. If Jeremy is healthy, he would have a field day.

  • Lin slipped twice.. Can’t put pressure on that taped ankle?

  • grover chang

Poor Lin. He can’t cut. That’s the third time I saw him stumble when trying to change directions.

  • NONONO

Lin needs to switch his shoes to MJ shores

  • blubell

    Blown assist…

  • JoeTeam

no he just sat on the corner and before that he hit a nice 2.

  • LinJa

Only when he is the of starter of the hornets

  • LinMad

    should have been a foul

  • golfhacker

Damn Zeller, just go up and at least get fouled.

  • yes, it really bothered him

    65-66

  • Promo Sports World

    Let’s get it jlin

  • LinMad

Kemba seem to be faciliating more now

  • cdblue10

    Walker isos

  • Promo Sports World

    Ankle game in full effect

  • LinMad

    who’s on Klay?

  • grover chang

Lin knew walker going I so. Didn’t even try to run a play.

  • wandertheglobe

    time out

  • blubell

    So much iso…

  • wandertheglobe

    Marvin

  • cshot

    kemba killing the momentum

  • Alain Gervais

walker killed everything in three plays

  • JoeTeam

kw will just not work with Lin.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Kemba-ISO hurts my eyes. Anyway, any ISO hurts my eyes.

  • your son’s voltaire

    well, Lin got his ahhaha

  • tom

Kemba are you so stupid you have to kill the momentum?

  • wandertheglobe

    1 point to 8 in a blink

  • LinMad

the transition D sucks. Lin was on Curry, no one on Greene

  • Briiick

Don’t let KW initiate the offense, or it becomes a street ball.

  • LinMad

he wants his buckets at all cost

  • Alain Gervais

walker held the ball the whole time

  • Hornets got within 1 but GSW got 7 straight :[

  • grover chang

Great job by walker trying to steal the spotlight back. Mission accomplished. Lost all momentum.

  • cshot

kemba is one greedy expletive lol. if you aren’t making shots, PASS the ball to someone who made shots

  • Epie

Kemba once again, tries to be hero and ruins the chance to tie.. getting tired of this

  • LinJa

Kemba single handed killed hornets momentum lol after that 1 pt deficit

  • sws94

    Kembaball. 🙁

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Why the “bad word” is PJ still playing?

  • your son’s voltaire

notice how PJ “the defensive stopper” was nowhere to be seen lol

  • wandertheglobe

Cliff needs to reign in Kemba to stop playing hero ball

  • Alain Gervais

to start with don’t turn it over with that pass

  • Promo Sports World

Kemba your going to have to grow up man…he can be coached …. Would look so much better

  • cdblue10

    He’s just stupid

  • John Focker

I could care less about whether the Hornets win (under Kembaball) as long as Jeremy gets 15/5 every game.

  • LinMad

not gonna happen. He’s gonna point fingers at other players and put the blame on them.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

    GSW made 22 assists
    Charlotte made 11 assists.
    Who is hogging the ball?

  • blubell

    Walker shooting 5-13

  • IsabeliJane*17

I approve the “greedy expletive” phrase.hahaha

  • JoeTeam

    or more

  • Alain Gervais

kemba can go from shooting 50 percent to 30 percent in no time

  • cshot

he’s trying so hard to prove he’s an allstar…. -__-

  • John Focker

Clifford lacks the backbone to rein in Kemba, it’s been proven.

  • grover chang

True this it’s cliff fault as much as walker. Tired of cliffwalker.

  • Maknusia

    way too many misses!

  • NONONO

    Kemba 5-13.. Lin 4-8.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Do you have the gut to bench Walker?

  • wandertheglobe

Out of TO and play for Marvin to shoot mid-range J?

  • John Focker

10-0 run by GSW in 1:50, all hail Kemba!

    EDIT: Make that 12-0 run.

  • sport

Been saying last few games Walker chuck up alot of shots (sometimes 20 which is unacceptable) that’s why he gets high scoring, he’s not an allstar.

  • IsabeliJane*17

It’s painful how Kemba can’t go over a screen to chase Curry on that 3.

  • blubell

Come on… that was a foul

  • Epie

This pattern once again – Kemba misses a critical shot, loses 10 pt in few min.

  • LinJa

Kemba just needs his 30 in a loss game and the story would be the hero of the hornets needs help. Then writer proceeds to blame other players or stats lacking, meanwhile no mention of Kemba’s momentum killer and poor fgs and bad shot selections

  • cdblue10

    Curry is just toying Kemba

  • Promo Sports World

    Kid is amazing

  • grover chang

    Curry. Where amazing is!

  • blubell

    Raining threes…

  • wandertheglobe

It feels good to be Warriors fans.

  • Promo Sports World

It’s an amazing building to see come alive

  • BobbyH

    That’s how team-ball is played.

  • Alain Gervais

    yep.

  • tom

Lin should have made at least one of those 3’s

  • Alain Gervais

its feels on the hornets Lin is the team ball.

  • Promo Sports World

No better team to watch in person

  • LinMad

We can’t trade buckets like that.

  • aras

got to hit that open 3 man cmon!

  • golfhacker

Spacing by GSW is incredible. Simple game really.

  • cdblue10

That 3 iso’s lead to a good momentum by the Warriors

  • sws94

Curry plays on another planet. It’s like he dribbles great and then pop, he shoots it in rhythm and from distance. And then he gets hot and does it 3 or 4 times in a row. Can’t stop that.

  • wandertheglobe

    Bad ankle effecting Lin’s shooting?

  • LinMad

is Lin realy known for his 3s? I think Cliff should have been drawing plays for Lin but I guess the bigs can’t really PnR or set screens.

  • JoeTeam

and he didn’t even bother on that or another play to jump, just raising his hand. LOL he does more than harden the matador move.

  • tom

Unacceptable, he’s usually not this bad

  • your son’s voltaire

Lin is getting pretty good at falling backwards while moving forward and making it look like he’s been hit by a truck

  • tom

He can make those wide open ones

  • grover chang

Thought the last one was going in. Oh well. He is playing hard and controlled within the flow. Just that walker disrupts the flow.

  • sws94

He’s shooting ok. It’s affecting his dribble/drive a lot and defense somewhat.

  • Promo Sports World

    Video Games

  • LinMad

Whoever is on Curry is killing us. But Curry is like a cheatcode

  • The 2nd one was wide-open.
His shooting is a little off.

Hopefully he gets more warmed up soon

  • Briiick

Exactly. We have heard things like “Melo needs help” or “Kobe needs help” or “Harden needs help” LOL. As long as they shoot the most, they can be excused for not defending or not winning.

  • your son’s voltaire

    gawd PJ suuuuucks

  • wandertheglobe

  • LinJa

Same guy that’s killing the hornets last year. Starts with k

  • blubell

  • your son’s voltaire

  • NONONO

  • wandertheglobe

    not shooting foul?

  • blubell

    Not a shooting foul?

  • your son’s voltaire

that was a shooting foul u dum ref

  • Lin finally draw a foul from Curry on a drive.. should’ve been 2 FTs

  • LinJa

Cliff sees Kemba doesn’t have 30 pts yet

  • cshot

how the f was that not a shooting foul lol?

  • Promo Sports World

    Yup…..needed that

  • golfhacker

Curry kills everyone in all fairness.

  • LinJa

    Again ref fail

  • sws94

    it was. Bad call.

  • Promo Sports World

Lamb should’ve been subbed in earlier

  • grover chang

    Good help defense by Frank.

  • LinMad

    get the rebound

  • your son’s voltaire

it’s over. Klay and Curry already hot

  • JoeTeam

kw’s idea of team ball is to do a pnr. That’s it.

  • John Focker

Kemba saw Hornets trail only by one point, and wanted to take over with heroball. Result: 15pt deficit.

  • grover chang

Yeah. Was highly unlikely hornets win tonight.

  • JoeTeam

it was over before the game, but I was hoping kw would be humbled and play to win somehow.

  • LinJa

    Klay is too good

  • LinJa

    Result is a loss game

  • blubell

    Iso airball….

  • grover chang

Lin can’t cut. Sucks he got injured. Was in a good groove.

  • JoeTeam

kw iso 3 airball. Is CHA FO blnd?l

  • Promo Sports World

They will always love Steph is Charlotte Kemba….u ain’t winning that battle

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

Klay, Curry, and all their associates seem really good. Not convinced that it’s Kemba’s fault that the Hornets are losing the entire time.

  • LinJa

Lmao Kemba shake and bake then step back air ball

  • It’s hard to see JLin keep falling when he tried to drive off his injured ankle

  • John Focker

He got injured in the Lakers game. Kobe hurting Lin in all ways possible, can’t wait ’till he’s out of the league.

  • your son’s voltaire

that was an excellent d by Lin on klay

  • JoeTeam

    JLamb now playing KW lite.

  • JJ Hui

GSW commentator said Lin fell down three times tonight, he said Lin has bad shoes, lol!

  • Maknusia

GSW had pulled away…its gonna be a tough Q4

  • guest

Seriously, what is going on??!! You have the third unit running the floor!

  • Alain Gervais

  • Kwok Wai Lai

  • tom

Lin should have gone for the last shot
    ignore roberts

  • NONONO

  • IsabeliJane*17

  • not very informed GSW announcer =)

  • sport

Lin not playing PG even with the 2nd unit, coach doesn’t know what he’s doing!

  • grover chang

If McHale could bench harden in a playoff game against the clippers then bench walker for the fourth.

  • Maknusia

Probably they didnt realize Lin is playing with a injured ankle?

  • JoeTeam

he said on TV here that he wants to improve to be like Steph.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

Hawes? Why he still gets mins?

  • Parent of Lots of Kids

Yes, what’s up with Lin falling like that tonight? Really adds to the perception that he’s only “deceptively strong.”

  • LinMad

I hope Lin goes to a new team after this season. What is Lin’s role on this team? I’m so confused.

  • cshot

let lin run pg for 2nd unit, lamb sg…

  • heart

Lin’s ankle is still bothering him. According to GSW commentators: Lin fell down about three times. He got bad shoes.

  • JJ Hui

I really dont like Coach Clifford! Robert is PG and with Lin on the court as ? What a joke!

  • your son’s voltaire

as allstars approaching kemba goes full iso

  • NONONO

promote KW for All-star like Lakers promote Kobe

  • Promo Sports World

all star is for fan faves. Kemba’s stats this season is good but he isn’t even top 10.

  • golfhacker

    Speights totally abusing Hawes.

  • Briiick

as if he had any chances LOL.

  • Promo Sports World

    Who knows right it’s silly

  • LinMad

BF1 with Lin was real. Now it’s just painful to watch.

  • JoeTeam

    hawes should have slammed that.

  • sport

bad ankle and bad shoes (Nike < Adidas)

  • JLin is very limited in this game not being able to drive and cut.
He just tried his best to contain Klay defensively & help make some shots.

Credit him for giving his all

  • grover chang

I guess there is no pint trying to win this game. Pad walker stats.

  • NONONO

Game is over. Do not send Lin back in if Cliff’s plan is promote Kemba for all-star

  • Promo Sports World

    Clifford has no gameplan……

Paraphrase GSW commentators: KW became volume shooter tonight!

  • Alain Gervais

  • sport

  • cshot

    get kemba stats lineup

  • Dan Cohen

gsw is a robot. they don’t miss

  • Promo Sports World

Always max effort on both ends….just needs to keep finding that jumper

  • Alain Gervais

not playing lin with the bench was by far the stupidest thing I’ve seen. cliff tries new thing way to much

  • John Focker

Good luck with Kemba All-Star while Hornets sub-500.

  • LinMad

This is clueless basketball. Every player doing their own thing. Man I wish Lin could be PG/floor general.

  • grover chang

Exactly how I saw it. Lin tested his ankle a couple times. Didn’t have it. So just tried to help the team without hurting them by trying to do too much.

  • Alain Gervais

he is always a volume shooter

  • JoeTeam

7/17 – that’s like 10 turnovers, we’ve been through this discussion with Kobe’s volume shooting.

  • NONONO

it wouldnt happen if Kemba plays PG

  • blubell

  • sport

LOL Became?! KW has always been a volume shooter and ball hogger!

  • your son’s voltaire

PJ and kemba gotten Curry and Klay hot early on, was already over

  • Promo Sports World

Just says how much the hornets need batum…crazy that I’m even saying that

  • Briiick

So far Hornets got 12 ASTs vs 30. Clearly KW is playing PG to set up himself only.

  • LinMad

This lineup Kemba, BROB, Lamb, Hawes, Frank is Cliff’s offensive threat. He thinks he can trade buckets with GSW. He has taken defense out of the lineup and put in a bunch of ISO shooters.

  • John Focker

Kemba was gonna put the dagger on GSW when Hornets only trailing by one point, but made the mistake of holding the dagger backwards.

  • sport

Walker has been shooting 20+ shot almost every game. His high scoring conceals that sometimes but most games he’s obviously another shot chucker. Hornets no different from Rockets fabricating a star.

  • JJ Hui

gsw commentator said KW is a volume shooter tonight! I saw it every night or every game!

  • Dan Cohen

zamm lamb might take away lin’s job.. look at him.
but I doubt he will play next game.. he hurt his arm/wrist..he will feel it next day.

  • Maknusia

True…unfortunately things are not happening the way we wanted

  • Promo Sports World

    2 different roles entirely

  • John Focker

    The technical term is “chucker”.

  • Dan Cohen

imagine this unit got the hornet back to even.

  • Dan Cohen

but before it happens, cliff will call a time out again… if it’s like 6 points away.

  • occupatio

someone explain to me why roberts is out there

  • LinMad

    we still bleeding

  • Alain Gervais

atleast when datum is there the ball moves. Kemba dribbles all day long. Lin passes the ball when no opportunity. only to never get the ball back

  • JoeTeam

with a line of famous checkers … Monte, Kobe, Harden (on his off nights), …

  • Epie

WIll never happen. Cliff will call a time out as soon as bench makes 3 consecutive shots

  • John Focker

Kemba 20 pts on 19, Curry 22 pts on 14, Klay 30 pts on 18.

Not even in the same league.

  • sport

Been saying Cliff copied Mchale’s handbook. The way he’s using Lin is no different from Rockets. But worst Lin doesn’t get to play PG at all and have to deal with 2 wannabe stars in Batum and Walker just like Harden and Parsons. All that talk about knowing Lin’s game was all BS to get him to sign. Knowing Li’s game would be setting him up for PnR and letting him lead as PG when Walker’s out.

  • JoeTeam

Lin is v fast to decide the possibilities. KW and Lamb eat up clock trying to figure it out.

  • JoeTeam

another kw air ball … sit him please.

  • Dan Cohen

hahaha you didn’t read my respond to my own comment below did you?

  • Briiick

He has a license from the organization to chuck.

  • wandertheglobe

Assists Hornets 13, Warriors 30. That’s all folks.

  • Dan Cohen

so see kw is tyring to prove something

  • Promo Sports World

    Put Lin back in

  • LinMad

If Lin got to be PG, we’d have more assists than that

  • Promo Sports World

Clifford is a high level assistant not a lead guy

  • John Focker

Hawes 4 asts in 17 min, Kemba 2 asts in 31.5 min. Who’s the PG?

  • IsabeliJane*17

Kemba will shoot all day, still he can’t get a rhythm.

  • JoeTeam

let’s get DGreen one more assist that’s all this game is good for.

  • blubell
  • Epie

Nothing new. Everyone can see it except Cliff.

  • CJSHYY

    That’s why we lose games.

  • LinJa

We’re losing, poor more Kemba on it

  • Briiick

Yeah, your starting PG is using the role to pad his own stats.

  • JoeTeam

GSW are trying to get DG that last assist – so nice to see. Crowd knows too. Let’s go1

  • cshot

this is so stupid…lin not coming back in?

  • sport

When your PG Walker is always going iso and taking his shots, teammates will start looking after themselves.

  • IsabeliJane*17

Better he sit this game down and not sacrifice his ankle.

  • John Focker

Is the medical term for this Rocketitis or Hardenitis?

  • JoeTeam

    There you go!

  • LinJa

    Hawes icing Kemba lol

  • LinMad

I can see Kemba is frustrated cause he’s not getting the ball

  • John Focker

    What goes around comes around.

  • sport

Not 100% yet, might as well not play a losing game.

  • your son’s voltaire

knowing clifford, he’ll put Lin in when they’re down 15 points

  • John Focker

I’m all for running Kemba 48 minutes until he gives up.

  • tom

    everyone icing him out lol

  • LinMad

lol Lin coming in? it’s already over though

  • sport

Duh, cause he’s playing selfish and only for himself!

  • Epie

could be a turning point for the team lol

  • John Focker

Mostly true but Cliff is using Lin more like McHale uses Beverley.

  • tom

Harden iso okay cuz hes good but kemba come on you are not that good

  • CJSHYY

Hope Lin can pad some stats….

  • Dan Cohen

sht?? no way.. kw was still in there playing? I thought he was out.. probably because I stop seeing him with the ball and dribbling away.

  • LinJa

Cliff letting Lin get his stats hopefully, runs pgs and get a few pts and ast

  • John Focker

    I wouldn’t mind Lin getting his 15/5.

  • sport

Please do that every game from now on! Ice Kemba and pass to Lin only!

  • tom

lol yah he started 4th but they started ignoring him

  • Epie

OH man.. was gonna sleep, now I have to watch again.

  • Greene smiles as big as Curry for his assist to make 3.
Lamb smiles big after making his own shot.

    Team-ball > ISO-ball
    106-89

  • LinJa

    BF1 got Lins back lol

  • JoeTeam

    Mo Speights out O’d KW.

  • LinMad

Green out PG’d Kemba. so did Hawes

  • Promo Sports World

    Bad culture being developed

  • your son’s voltaire

    klay can’t score on Lin

  • blubell
  • LinJa

    Lin already making defensive stops

  • Promo Sports World

    Jeremy the defensive stopper Lin

  • blubell

    Made both FTs

  • Maknusia

    Finally Lin gets Fts

  • occupatio

kemba has 2 assists over 35 minutes.
8 for 20 from the field.
    what a garbage PG

  • LinJa

Lol Lin has take his ball back from mw to get the play set for him. Pretty funny

  • Epie

COME ON LIN WAS WIDE OPEN (sorry for the caps)

  • blubell

    2222222222222222

  • JoeTeam

    can they come back?

  • wow 9pt game with 1:52 left
    97-106

  • Promo Sports World

    Amazing

  • Briiick

WOW, Let’s do some Linsanity !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tom

I can see hornets players were mad at kemba lol

  • blubell
  • LinMad

Curry can make 3s but can’t make 2s lol

  • blubell
  • The secret is defense.
Keep Klay and Curry from scoring. They’ll get within 3-4 pts with 40 secs left

  • LinMad

    how?

  • Promo Sports World

How about Jeremy Lin the Swiss Army knife …. Does it all every night

  • JoeTeam

here comes Steph, he will separate the teams again. KW will have no answer.

  • your son’s voltaire

    lol he just made a 2 and 1.. 3

  • Can the Hornets keep GSW from scoring?
Nope, Curry gets an And-1 passing by Kemba

  • LinMad

Winning a team like GSW is like winning the championships

  • tom

see how many times they ignored him?

  • blubell

Jeremy must guard them both at the same time…

  • Maknusia

    we need a cloning machine

  • Epie

    Horrible

  • blubell

Nah, just need healthy Jeremy 😛

  • IsabeliJane*17

Curry may kill a lot of guards.. except Jeremy.

  • oh my, after good Lamb D… wide-open lane for GSW 101-111

  • Alain Gervais

    we fought hard

  • Maknusia

    yeah…missed it!

  • Alain Gervais

lin missed 2 wide open threes.

  • Acbc

Lin must use the Naruto shadow clone jitsu!

  • blubell

At least Jeremy got his points. Heal up fast!

  • your son’s voltaire

never gonna win teams like warriors with kemba and pj letting guys like curry and klay get hot early

  • LinJa

Zellar blows a lot of under baskets shots. ALOT

  • Alain Gervais

still hated the way the offense was set

  • occupatio

the bigs on this team are worthless

  • Kwok Wai Lai

I guess the only chance that the Hornets have is to have Walker sidelined by an injury.
    This Walker ball really stinks.
Hornets need another floor general to run the show.

  • GSW is simply better playing team-ball with better big men
Hornets big men just can’t finish strong.

Plus transition D is sooooo bad

  • Promo Sports World

Jumper is not there right now

  • LinJa

Lin easily could have 3 or more assists

  • CJSHYY

Me too. That’s why they couldn’t win.

  • tom

    3 open ones

  • Alain Gervais

yea i came back before the injury but not good again

  • occupatio

hornets will never go anywhere with kemba running the offense. its been like this for years. doesnt matter who his teammates are.

  • LinMad

and coaching sucks too. Why BROB/Lamb facilitate over Lin?

  • Alain Gervais

    back to the gym

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Do you think Walker can defend anyone?

  • Dan Cohen

only chance is that the lin fix his freaking 3 point shot.. it’s getting lower than all pervious seasons!! doc.. what the heck happen.

  • tom

    This team is so bad
Lamb scored well scares me though

  • golfhacker

    Back to .500

  • IsabeliJane*17

    NO. Maybe a chair.

  • LinMad

shooting 3s is not being a PG

  • tom

    Yah ronnie price

  • Alain Gervais

the gsw took their foot off the gas back it wasn’t close really ever

  • blubell

    He is streaky

  • Epie

    YES his ego

  • golfhacker

    PJ

  • Promo Sports World

Yup…never been properly coached since college….cliff enables him….put Kemba with pop or Carlisle a better player

  • cshot

lol i could have sworn it was kobe bricking tonight! just a couple feet shorter

  • sws94

Good game by Lamb. For the state that Lin was in, good enough. Terrible game by Kemba. And not at all a good game by Frank either.

  • JoeTeam

he was mostly playing for himself so it is scary. This is not a team playing ball, it’s a bunch of individuals with a few people trying.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

GSW as a team made 34 assists. Kemba ball made 15 assists for the team.

  • Alain Gervais

he only time we looked good was for 2 minutes to begin the third.

  • LinJa

Cliff taking it easy on Lin cus of ankle?

  • LinMad

do u really think this team needs another scorer? Look what scorers are doing to this team. They are not playing D.

  • Dan Cohen

    huh?

  • tom

he needs to shoot 1000 3’s a day
Unacceptable I expect more from Lin

  • blubell
  • Dan Cohen

    just 3 more 3s

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Kemba played 40 minutes made 3 assists and he’s the PG.

  • takemeback2reaganyears

If you don’t have team offense, you’d never have team defense.

  • sws94

I think it is good. Not scary at all. If he can knock down Batum’s minutes that’s good. Need to get Lin and Lamb as a tandem back going.

  • Dan Cohen

but lin also missed the corner 3…
actual lin’s 3 is not that good right now.. if I’m a player I won’t even pass it to him for the 3.

  • Rzo Vlade

stop the sg exper jlin is a pg clifford wiping kemba azzzzzzzz

  • Acbc

I guess Kobe will tell kW to channel his dark side. Lol

  • Alain Gervais

ur defense is better but this offense is horrid

  • LinJa

Not a good game by all the bigs

  • Alain Gervais

reminds me a little of the lakers last year with more PNR.

  • cshot

its pretty obvious charolette fo wants kemba to get his stats. they want an all star so bad

  • Kwok Wai Lai

Lamb played defense well tonight. He made 3 steals with his long arms. He needs to play much harder.

  • Promo Sports World

MJ the executive strikes again with the Clifford extension

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Just had a glimpse here and there of watching this game, don’t believe Hornets will make it to playoffs this season.

  • joyce ward

    What was lin’s stat line?

  • LinMad

    or the other way around

  • blubell
  • JoeTeam

kemba pg with 39 mins, 3 assists.
    Lamb 1 assist.
Lin, Roberts with 2, Hawes with 4.

    Is CHA FO blind?

  • occupatio

when the lead PG plays like that, its no surprise that lamb does.

  • Briiick

I am glad you change you opinion on KW. His assists/shots taken is extremely low for a PG and his defense is embarrassing. “Yes” man Cliff is letting him pad til he drops.

  • sport

Stop making up dumb excuses, Lin wasn’t facilitating before injury either!

  • Dan Cohen

with modern bball, it is a BIG part of being a pg.. they are guards… usually at the perimeter. if they know you can’t shoot threes you are not a threat. Plus lin is a combo guard on this team. To be great, you have to be able to play either way.
So you’re saying curry is not a pg then because most of his points are from the 3 point line.

  • blubell
  • cshot

was there any interaction between curry and lin at the end of game?

  • Epie

    That was good

  • LinMad

Lin shot 45% today, i’ll take that cause he played D well. Rest of team wanted to play one side of the court only.

  • rookie75094

Jlin had an ok game but I rather he sit out…he is clearly not 100%.

  • Dan Cohen

why not just swap the 2 positions.. lin pg .. kw sg.. because kw shoots a lot more.

  • golfhacker

They hugged. Curry whispered something in Jeremy’s ear.

  • LinMad

not anymore, they regressed to Kemba Ball

  • JoeTeam

and acbc, I cannot write much about the game because it was street ball so GSW didn’t have to do much to win. The biggest indicator of street ball is Mo Speights had a 15 pt night – this season, he just gets no chances. CHA gave it to him, and he wasn’t even in a scoring rhythm at all.

  • CJSHYY

Me too. I really think Cliff should rest him.

  • Dan Cohen

blew a lot of lin’s assist too..
    actually, no hawes does.

  • wandertheglobe

    Curry/Clay – 60pts, Lin/Kemba 35.

  • LinJa

He played more pg before. Staggered with bench. This game was near non-existent. I was comparing this game vs previous. There is a difference in his play making.

  • IsabeliJane*17

From number 2 in the East to out of the playoff berth.

  • JoeTeam

you got that right, there was no swing swing to the weak side. Just all one-way blinder ball.

  • JJ Hui

Yeah, killing the flow and idk what made him do that!

  • Promo Sports World

Ain’t messing with Steph and Clay….those guys are bad

  • Maknusia

    should tweet that

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Obviously Cliff/Hornets is all for Kemba. That’s the main reason why I lost my interest to watch this game despite of JLin being the starter.

  • blubell
  • Epie

Not sure about the end of game, but I saw them having conversation on the court few times laughing.

  • cshot

my two fav players. well that was the highlight of the game for me lol. lin go to gsw

  • Promo Sports World

We got minutes for you Jeremy :))))))

  • LinMad

ya it was frustrating to watch cause they weren’t moving the ball or moving off screen well. Coach should have setup more plays.

  • JoeTeam

If I were on CHA playing Lin’s role, I’d bet T’d up yelling at my team mates to pass to me being as open as a Canadian goose up in the Great White North.

  • CJSHYY

But how many shots did Klay take? Lin? Can’t just compare pts.

  • sport

You’re obviously a troll! First off Lin’s not even playing PG on this team, he’s playing SG and iced out in the corner. Tell that to Steph Curry who’s PG and MVP! Only way for PGs to stay relevant nowaday is shooting 3s!

  • rookie75094

No lift on a still bum ankle….it’s affect everything on the court

  • occupatio

same. i knew it would be the kemba circus tonight.

  • LinMad

Kemba took a lot of attempts, Lin took 11.

  • tom

I think hes taking Lins mins
    Batum is another untouchable

  • sws94

How many minutes did Lin play?

  • sws94

He should have got to the line for the one they called a side out.

  • LinMad

    30

  • new thread
    http://www.jlinportal.com/g34-cha-gsw-notes-observations/

Jeremy Lin finished with 13pts/1asts/3rebs (5-12 FGM, 1-5 3FGM, 2-2 FTM) in the Hornets 111-101 loss against the Warriors.

JLin didn’t play well due to injured ankle, fell down 4-5 times in his drives or trying to cut.

He tried his best to contain and blanket Klay Thompson but Klay still played well to score 30pts.

Hornets big men were outmatched (1 blk vs GSW 9 blocks) while the transition defense continued to be a problem.

Hornets got within 9 with 1.5 min left but the transition defense continued to be a problem giving Curry and Greene 5 pts ( an And-1 + dunk)

  • golfhacker

    Look at shooting %.

  • tom

    Thats what I meant
so to answer your question no i dont because i want Lin to score more

  • JoeTeam

but that’s unrealistic as you can see, Lamb was just playing by himself all game, as was KW. They used Cody and Kam and Hawes as window dressing at times.

  • Dan Cohen

hey..they look like reggie jackson and john walls stats… fga and points. lol

  • Dan Cohen

    oh and drose

  • tom

Better be i dont want him taking my boys mins

  • sport

Lin plays PG only once in a while on this team. Most of the time he’s stuck in the corner as SG while guys like Robert and Lamb plays PG and brings up the ball.

  • rookie75094

    Yes..definitely a shooting foul

  • tom

Lin should too sometimes which i think he does

  • sws94

Lin needs to up his shots, then. 15/16 when Batum is out is what is needed from him. He only went to the line once I believe. But he couldn’t really drive tonight. Should have tried the floater he was practicing before the game.

  • Dan Cohen

    mj is.

  • LinMad

I’ve concluded that our bigs are worthless. They all want to play like shooting guards. Wish we had a Draymond Green.

  • Briiick

They won against TOR in their first match because Cliff alternated the ball handling between Lin and KW. But Lin out shined KW in that game so Cliff would not dare to do it again.

  • Maknusia

good that someone pointed it out

  • tom

We have concluded that 5 games ago
and no you dont want another ball dominant player

  • JoeTeam

that’s untrue, he’s hit some key 3s in games.

  • LinMad

he wasn’t on Klay 100%. More like 30%. He was also on Rush and some other guys.

  • JoeTeam

yes, he did, … his first mid-range 2, he got under the basket and came out not to pass, but to do a step-back jumper. I liked that, and it’s a rare thing you see from Lin because you see it almost every KW play.

  • LinMad

but he gets dimes to make up for KW

  • Kwok Wai Lai

As a team GSW made 32 assists.
    Hornets made 15 assists.
KW made 3 for the night playing about 40 minutes as the PG.
It’s time to remember a guard called Rondo.

  • JoeTeam

contagious selfishness, as it can also be contagious selflessness. CHA vs GSW, fitting.

  • LinJa

Rob only played recently because of injuries. Without injuries, Lin plays more pgs. Way more than today and yesterday

  • sport

Said it couple games ago but some said it doesn’t matter cause Walker had the hot hand lol no he did not! He’s been volume shooting every game to get his high scores and only got in rhythm towards end of game after taking 20+ shots! He thinks the games are shooting practice and opponents and teammates are just moving card boards for his iso plays!

  • JoeTeam

seems so, he’s bball iq smart so it must be his eyes lol.

  • Maknusia

    There you go..

  • tom

    nah Lin can do that

  • tom

Lin knows hes on a contract year lol

  • JoeTeam

yeah, that was a bad call he was shooting.

  • tom

    cant blame walker for this

  • LinMad

not gonna get dimes if he don’t pass or coach don’t draw set plays.

  • Kwok Wai Lai

They couldn’t stuff the basketball home 2 ft away.

  • Briiick

When you have a PG in KW who only sets up himself, teammates are forced to play iso and selfish balls.

  • Acbc

    Says it all

  • Kwok Wai Lai

He’s a mini-sized SG who likes to have the ball all the time.

  • JoeTeam

I only watch Lin minutes, and when KW is doing his thing, it’s really boring, and the game gets really random so you have no hope of seeing CHA win or generate any power together.

  • JoeTeam

thx, lol if I tweeted I’d do it.

  • Briiick

KW got a license from above Cliff to pad his stats, not unlike the situation in Rox.

  • sport

That was so fast, faked Walker to move him to the left and Bogut comes in for the screen.

  • Acbc

Lin was so smart to make second year players option.

  • JoeTeam

has to be – he was in 40 mins and it was a blowout for most of it I hardly saw KW sitting, and his usage was really high.

  • JoeTeam

looks like we look forward to Lin’s next team. This one started well, but I don’t get why we are now on KW 1-1 ball plan.

  • InfiniteWisdom

another disappointing year…. injuries really killed this team so far. 1st mkg goes down. then big al goes down, then batum and lin take turns being hurt… now they are out of the playoff picture…. this year is a year of what could have been (so far)…

if big al comes back to form or we trade him for someone who can help us, if mkg comes back early and contributes, if lin/kemba/batum remain healthy, if lamb plays well again, if cody decides to not be a soft white guy, if we continue to play frank, if we never play pj ever again, etc…. then we may be a really good team. so many if’s though…

for the short term, we need to see a starting lineup of kemba, lin, batum, frank, cody. let roberts, lamb, and hawes play freely on the 2nd unit. they played very well tonight. although lamb wont hit all those tough floaters every game. starters should get the most minutes and lamb gets 6th man minutes. pj’s “defense” is accruing as many fouls as he can on the opposing team’s best player. this has clearly worked all year right? at what point will cliff realize this? are we tanking?

  • sport

Batum or not, Lin needs to take 15/16 shots every game if he wants to be considered a star! His FGA has been in single digits every season! The most Lin takes is around 10 FGAs and that’s NOT enough! The more shots he takes the more efficient and comfortable he’ll be! I liked how today he did a stop to hit a 3 after rebounding the ball! That is what he should do more often every time he brings the ball up after a rebound! Don’t pass the ball back out and just find his spot and take a shot! He earned the shot by getting that rebound! Don’t waste it on selfish chucking teammates!

  • Briiick

Whoever handed KW the license must get mad about his All Star vote count, as if letting him pad 40 mins and take 20+ shots per game in a losing streak would help.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

It only makes me mad and I will never vote for him. I vote for his other teammates but never him thus far. It will continue to be so until JLin retires.

  • JLin Fan from Australia

Yes. When I saw his game and immediately I lost any interest to watch the game.

  • InfiniteWisdom

soft… all of them… except tyler but he’s plain nuts…

  • LinMad

Playing against 2 great teams coming back from an injury and having to start with Kemba not 100% healthy, Lin did his best.

  • Maknusia

    OK Some Picture Time

  • Maknusia

    Hairsanity!

  • Maknusia

Need to get Curry in here 😉

  • Maknusia

    Thats It Folks…

  • Maknusia

    oops wrong thread 🙁

  • adele

It’s been a pain watching Kemba ISO all the time. Playing heroball, not passing and padding stats. The truth is going to surface someday some people will see the picture.

  • adele

Yes, but what if the coach tells you not to make a lot of shots and focus more on defense? Are you going to disobey your coach? We have to remember that Lin is not the face of this franchise. It’s Kemba who needs to make those volume shot attempts. Otherwise, Lin will have those stats and not Kemba. That’s a no no for the high up there.

  • adele

I’ve been saying that Lin should not play ever since before the OKC game. One is he is not 100% healed, and two he won’t be able to score much because Kemba will be the PG and not him. He will just be used as a decoy and helper for Kemba. Hmmm…as a Lin fan I’m not so very happy with that. He should preserve his physical well-being. It’s big going into the FA next season.

  • adele

Been saying that all this time. Truth will surface.

  • adele

No they’re not. They only have one goal. To produce a star. They don’t care about the playoffs. That’s a bonus if they can.

  • adele

I was really hoping Lin would hold on to his injury and full healing. One, it won’t do any good to him physically and if he starts and the team is not winning, it will affect his over-all scouting production because the minor things he did won’t be remembered. Only the stats. And Kemba is the winner with 22 points. They don’t care how many attempts Kemba make. Most people will think Kemba has the making of an all-star already because that’s what they have been promoting all along.

  • bolero

Curry hugged Lin after the game..
