Jeremy Lin Set to Return for Hopefully the Final 26 Games

Jeremy Lin Set to Return for Hopefully the Final 26 Games

Brooklyn Nets announced that Jeremy Lin is set to return to play in Denver on Feb 24 after the NBA All-Star Break. It will be almost 2 months since Jeremy last played on Dec 26, 2016 against Charlotte Hornets. Hopefully, the 3rd return is the charm so Jeremy can finish the final 26 games with strong performance. His return would energize the Brooklyn Nets who possesses the worst record in the league at 9-47, and more importantly some surprising wins under his leadership would help the Nets to persuade future free agents to come join a rebuilding Brooklyn Nets. And last but not the least, the wins will help the Nets marketing department to sell next season’s tickets in the off-season. K... »

Jeremy Lin Out 3-5 More Weeks due to Reinjured Hamstring during Rehab

The disappointing early season for Jeremy Lin and his fans will be extended 3-5 more weeks because he was reported to reinjure his hamstring during basketball drills on Jan 21, two days before it was announced on Jan 23. The 3rd injury was a recurrence of the second injury but not as severe. The earliest Lin might return is Feb. 15 in the Nets’ final game before the All-Star break, and his absence might last until early March. Jeremy Lin Still Part of Nets Future It is encouraging to hear GM Sean Marks reiterates the importance of Lin as part of the franchise for the future and he wants to take the long-term approach to let Lin heal and not rush him back. Coach Kenny Atkinson hopes for Lin t... »

Jeremy Lin BobbleHead and the Taiwanese Culture Night

Jeremy Lin BobbleHead and the Taiwanese Culture Night

COUNTDOWN CLOCK   It is unfortunate that Jeremy Lin has to sit out the Houston Rockets game due to his hamstring injury because the Taiwanese Culture Night will honor him with Jeremy Lin bobblehead nights for the first 10000 fans sponsored by Kenda Tires. The planning for the Jan 15 Taiwanese Culture Night not only involves JLin bobblehead giveaway for the first 10K fans, but also Santaizi dancersand Taiwanese rapper Dwagie at half-time show. https://twitter.com/NBCAsianAmerica/status/819940868325015552 But none of that has dampened the enthusiasm Borcheng Hsu has for the 28-year-old Taiwanese-American NBA star, who first exhilarated basketball fans in 2012 during his time with the New ... »

G38 Brooklyn Nets (8-29) Hopes for New Orleans Pelicans (15-24) Minus ADavis

G38 Brooklyn Nets (8-29) Hopes for New Orleans Pelicans (15-24) Minus ADavis

COUNTDOWN CLOCK The Nets looked listless in the 20pt-loss vs the Hawks. Perhaps they are demoralized playing a team with similar motion offense system but much better execution that Kenny Atkinson helped to coach last season. Rebounding is certainly the #1 issue in Nets losses; they are 3-22 when getting outrebounded. The loss of Trevor Booker in the Hawks game contributed to the rebounding disadvantage (11 at 1st half and 5 overall in the game; 33-22 in the first half and 53-48 overall). The Quincy Acy debut was very refreshing. In only 1.5 min, he contributed 4pts (1-1 3FG, 1-3 FTs). He came in, defended hard, set a great screen for SKil’s layup, drained a clutch 3, didn’t forc... »

G37 Brooklyn Nets (8-28) Hosts the Formidable Atlanta Hawks (21-16)

G37 Brooklyn Nets (8-28) Hosts the Formidable Atlanta Hawks (21-16)

COUNTDOWN CLOCK   The struggle continues for the Brooklyn Nets as they failed to beat the 76ers. The Nets waived Anthony Bennet to end their experiment to develop the former #1 pick of 2013 class in order to sign Quincy Acy to 10-day contract who showed improved 3pt-shooting in the D-League to complement his rebounding and shot-blocking skills. The Nets clearly want to shore up their weakness in defense by providing toughness. It will be interesting to watch their next moves of players to trade or sign to further improve their defense. It is admirable that Coach Kenny Atkinson can rally his troops to fight hard despite being undermanned without Jeremy Lin and Rondae-Hollis Jefferson. Tr... »
